The Home Depot in other cities:
Went there yesterday to buy the outdoor spot lights I’ve been buying there for 5 years. Got to the checkout and the girl said no military discount on electrical or some plumbing.. left the lights on the basket. Went to phenix city and low and behold got military discount. This store I think is managed by young people.
How dumb does an associate have to be to watch two people walk in yawn and garden pushing a flat cart. Watch them load 50+ retaining wall blocks, caps, pavers and then tell them they closed the yawn and garden section and will need to push the cart all the way to the other end of the store. We all know the other end of the store would have no clue what the cost of any of that stone is. So my guess is they would have to call the other end to get pricing. SMH. I guess have fun putting all that back on the shelf. Lowes has better customer service anyway. They will actually load it for you. I’ll go to Lowe’s.
Went to tool rental the desk attendants were courteous and the morning attendant helped me load the item on my truck.I was over there 5/24/22 looking for a copper/aluminum light switch. Mike G. Helped me pick one out. He was very helpful, I would have been there a long time trying to find the right one.
Return policy makes it impossible to return things now. Price match policy is misleading and a joke! It is also impossible to price match anything. Prices discrepancies are crazy ! Found an outdoor furniture set for $599 and HD had it for 900 ! Same exact thing and they won’t price match because their price was a “special buy” that it was $1500 and had dropped to $900 so they jacked up the prices to lower them n mark them as “specials” to prevent customers from price matching.Pet friendly no more ? I’ve always take my English bulldogs with me when doing my Homedepot runs, well I had to turn around and head to lowes because an employee told me my dogs were not service animals. After that, I had my husband, my mom, and my brother all cancel their HD credit cards. Took my business to lowes.
Ive been to many Home Depots I just moved down from Atlanta but I must say this is by far the worst experience ive ever had. I placed a order for 608.00 two shop fans. I waited all day for the fans that they say they had in. The fans showed in stock on line. Then i even called twice they told me they was pulling my order. At the end of the day they called me and told me they cancelled my order because they didnt have the fans after being told twice they was pulling the order. What really gripes my tail is that not only did i not get my fans but now i have to wait 3 to 7 days to get my 608.00 back!!! So now I have to wait another week to get the fans for my shop. IT actually gets worse I then call the store here in columbus never spoke with anybody after being on hold for 43 minutes. Im not sure what happened to Home Depot they used to be a place who strived on customer service. Well not anymore ill drive 50 miles to a Lowes before i shop at Home Depot again.
They are supposed to have no hassle returns and took 40 mins of my time and they didn’t return the items and not to mention it was a Milwaukee Impact and Klein Tools 11 in 1 screwdriver….all the items say lifetime warranty and are expensive tools but not when you return cause they stop working on a job site…I am an pro account member and spend tons of money here
Messy, disheveled and disorganized. This is not necessarily a covid problem. Its been like this. The bolt and screw aisle is a joke, good luck finding three matching bolts. Havent bought much plumbing but Im willing to bet its the same story. The small parts storage has been reduced to just a couple bins, where other stores have dozens. The lumber yard is chronically understocked. Before the pandemic I had multiple sheets of plywood cut and there was often a line as the person running the saw seemed to be learning as he went. Note this is not a critique of the staff but rather the management that let the staff on the saw without proper training.Post pandemic there are also a number of problems, besides the fact that no one in the store seems to care about wearing masks or social distancing. Mainly there arent staff retrieving lumber carts to stage in the lumber area. Many carts are prestaged online orders which clog aisles. The rest litter the parking lot, and because of the restricted entrances and exits, if you want a lumber cart you have to retrieve it and from one side of the lot, walk it to the other side of the lot, then back to the other side of the store. There are many other minor aggravations, not all of them the fault of the store but all frustrating.I know, first world problems, but all of it adds up to making me dread having to go to my favorite store.Edit: how is your store still such a mess. Is 9am really the best time to be restocking? Really?
Store is very busy and adjustment to staff attitudes would be helpful. I asked a gentleman for help locating a filter for my vent and because he couldnt locate the size he just walked away without a word. I followed him thinking he was going to look it up or see if it was in stock, but he noticed I was following him (thinking he was going to check for in stocks item) he stopped and asked me if there was anything else he could help me with and so I asked about the filter in question again and he state oh, we dont have them).Customer Service should also be more courteous as well.
Its Home Depot, they have everything youd need to build a house from scratch. Customer Service is excellent and employees are very informative of the whereabouts of products, and if you happen to stomp a employee on a Question they will make sure you get to someone who will be able to assist you..
Do not do an online order for express delivery. I paid the 8.99 for express it came two days later, and to top it off, some of my items were missing. The reason given for the late delivery, “they couldn’t find anyone to deliver”. Don’t call the online service number all they do is call the store, and no one answers the phone. I don’t recommend using the delivery service at should have done curbside or went into the store myself. I have to contact the store manager about my missing items and refund of delivery charge. Never again
I had a curbside pickup order. They were fantastic!! The gentleman that loaded my items into my car did it in such an organized way!! The lady that kept me updated on my order was also so very sweet!!Update... HomeDepot is still fantastic... the gentleman that assisted me today was so helpful in recommending an alternative for the item that I wanted that was out of stock. Also, I have been in several times in the past few months to get paint, and every time I go in, the people at the paint center are so amazing!
Super place to get repairs materials for roof the lumber department was very accommodating cutting the decking board the correct size to fit into my small compact car and I was able to get all the fasteners and material to repair a limb that went through the roof at my moms
Military Families Beware…Installation Nightmare, Unacceptable Customer Service...***this is a review of Home Depot as a business and their customer service and their resolutions department. This review is not reflective of any experience I had with the physical store or employees at the store.I have learned this the hard (and costly) way. Never, ever again will I pay for (or allow) for Home Depot to arrange major appliance installation in my home. Doing so (1) nearly started a serious electrical fire in my home, (2) compromised any/all faith I have that Home Depot as an esteemed business, and (3) is costing me an estimated $320 to repair a 6-month-old major appliance due to negligence and improper installation. Installation that I paid for and was backed by Home Depot. This was the absolute worst experience I have ever had with a “reputable” business. I am writing this review to caution anyone, especially Active Duty Servicemembers, their families, and any other people that have to move frequently. I know how it works: Home Depot contracts a big transportation and logistics company (e.g. J.B. Hunt) who then sub-contracts to a smaller transportation company to actually execute the install and delivery. These employees are not always knowledgeable about using an electric drill without destroying simple screws. Businesses have to cut costs somewhere. Sure, I get it. But if I buy a major appliance from Home Depot and they arrange for professional installation, then who is responsible when it goes wrong? Surely, it should not be the paying customer.
On march 30I was shopping in bath and kitchen and I talked to Ruben Rodriguez about remodeling my bathroom. He supposedly said he set up for a contractor to call me within 48 hours and after I talk to the contractor I would come back to the store and pick out what we need for remodeling of the bathroom I never received a called nor did receive a email from Mr Rodriguez about the explanation of what happened. Its been seven days and I havent heard from anyone. Bad experience.
Darian and another young man went above and beyond assisting me with an artificial Christmas tree purchase. They researched and inquired when they were in doubt. They then proceeded to assist me all the way up to my purchase. Jasmine then assisted me in the evening helping to disassemble the tree to fit into my car. A very satisfying experience!!
I was in need of a particular door lock and while searching at Sowega location I was assisted by an extremely helpful employee by the name of Sean. I wasnt completely sure what I needed, but I knew what I wanted & his care & patience helped me find exactly what I was looking for. I appreciate the customer service that was provided today & I plan to visit In the near future. Thank you for a great experience Home Depot and providing the best kind of people to uphold it.
Found what we needed, had know problem. Had no problem checking out. But do have a problem with a gal. Of paint I bought a couple weeks ago. I asked for dark brown paint, that I could use for wood and metal door. We to paint the doors yesterday, it isnt paint, its like a wash. Cant use , it has a sticker bon it reading ,no refund. So now what do I do, to get my dark brown paint.
We sat at the saw station for 20 minutes waiting on an employee who said they would be right back, another customer noticed how long we have been there and mentioned something to the girl with blue hair and her puppy dog crush following her and they completely disregarded us, then they proceeded to make a scene as the blue hair girl escorted said puppy dog follower yelling while mr puppy honked the horn every 2 seconds as if they were seeking validation, have receipt and time stamps.
Needed a new desk for working at home. Called and spoke to Dan at the Columbus Georgia store. I had missed a really good sale earlier in the week, so Dan was trying to give me some product numbers to pull up on my phone. The codes were not pulling up on my end. Dan advised they were open until 8 to come by and look at the desk. What he did not tell me, he was not going to be there nor did he leave any numbers for me to look at. The sales person that was there advised Dan was not there and she had no idea what he was showing me. Did she ask what I was needing?did she ask if maybe she might could try and help me find what I might be needing? No and No. She just kept looking at me as if she was ready for me to leave. Finally I asked her, do you think you might could help me find what Dan was trying to show me? Reluctantly and with a nasty attitude, she flipped around and said come to her office. Showing me desk on her computer, moving at the speed of sound. I asked her if she could slow down a bit. By this time I was not in the best of moods nor was she. She had not been in a “Customer Service Mood” from our first meeting. If not for needing a desk so badly, i would have walked. I really should have walked. I work way to hard for my $$!Customer Service is Very Poor.
Staff has very bad attitude and not very helpful. I went in the store to get a cable for an electric range, i asked 2 person 1st sent me to the wrong aisle and 2nd was very disrespectful with an attitude and told me she doesn’t know where, i just have to walk around and find it…
The curbside is horrendous waited over an hour for curbside pick up everytime we order something its an issue and I end up going inside to get my order although I selected curbside. The staff offered no apology and didnt even seem to care I will be taking my business to Lowes from now on.
Not busy when I went about 30 minutes ago. Asked customer service if I could use their phone, as I had locked mine and my keys in the car. They young lady let me use it no problem. There were only 2-3 people in lines but moving through quickly. Paint dept was busy. I had called ahead of time to ask for a product and they told me which aisle and section to find it in so I was in and out. Bathroom (womens) was clean. Self-check out was smooth and there was an attentive employee in the area, helping when needed.
Awesome customer service generally, I love this place! I would have rather visited my Sowega Dr. Home Depot under more favorable circumstance, however, Miss Katie, our tool and equipment rental service clerk, was well versed on the piece of equipment we needed to rent, a 1/2 electric drain snake.Outstanding job young lady you made it a pleasure. Thanks!
I placed an online order late one afternoon and within 30 minutes I received an email and text letting me know that my order was ready for pickup. I went to the stores pickup area and was greeted by the friendly staff. I received my order and I was out the door within 5 minutes. Great service.
As big box stores go, Home Depot is one of the best in the business. During the COVID-19 pandemic, my local store remained open, enforced social distancing and mask mandates, and provided me with plenty of tools for home projects. The friendly faces and well-stocked garden center and lumber selections have made me a loyal shopper unless the local mom and pop places have better deals.
Its best to take your business somewhere else. These people are thieves. They delivered part of my order. When I tried to get the rest of the order they say they need to talk to a different manager and will call back but never call back. The delivery company has on record that only partial order was delivered but still Im out $400 in materials. Ive called 6 times but still no resolution.
So I am beside myself after the girl at the register tells me its not her job to find out if there is a product in stock but wants me to go outside and get her the sku for a similar product. Please go back to hiring professionals because these street rats you keep hiring are rude.
Everytime weve been here it has been impossible to get help. There are employees everywhere but to get help in a specific section is impossible. Only worth going if you know exactly the item(s) you need and know or dont mind spending the time figuring out how to find them, but if you need help in a specific section forget about it.
I went to this location one evening, 3rd week in November 2020 looking to buy a stove. There was no one there to help then one employee shows up from another department, but he couldnt help me. He tried to scan the tag to get the price, but he couldnt find it. Since this was the exact stove I wanted, I looked on my device and found the price on line and the employee asked me how I did that. This led me to believe that I needed to keep my cash in my pocket and move on. What happened to customer service? Does it still exist?
Not bad for the quick trip on supplies needed but the online purchase & pickup was a pain. Emailed us saying everything was in & 2 days later when we went to pick it up we showed up to find out they didnt even have all our materials. Then it took bugging them & the store manager to get any info on when our items would be in because no one would return any form of contact. Once again, if you go in to buy smaller goods youll come out alright but be ready if you order big materials because you may be in for a headache
I purchased a refrigerator and wanted it delivered they advised me after I paid for the delivery that they wouldnt go up more than two steps I only have four and they will only sit it inside of your door they wont place it where it goes.. Now I have to pay someone else to take the doors off and place it where it needs to be!! Ill never again make that kind of purchase with home Depot!! Lowes for now on
My recent experience at the Home Depot off of Airport Thruway was very unsatisfactory, and for a multitude of reasons. The biggest issue being the customer service in the rental dept. Why would you have someone who has no idea what theyre doing, get this, and you have them alone trying to work the tool rental dept. Needless to say it was a horrible experience. I hope for their sake they figure out the proper etiquette of customer service
Absolutely horrible customer service!!! Especially from Bruce, the manager, I saw him in the back of the garden section, so I walked towards him and he saw me coming so he started to walk away then I followed him thinking he would turn around ,but he purposely walked to a employees only area. Previously I was waiting for assistance at the cashiers area for over 25 minutes, so after Bruce avoided me, I went inside the main store and the first person I saw , I asked for help. Her name was Teresa Y, she dropped everything she was doing and helped me locate the Miracle Gro that I was looking for! Home Depot needs more employees like Teresa and NOT BRUCE!!!!!! I feel like if you dont like people dont choose to be in a customer service oriented environment!!
Different than the Home Depot Im used to. The one where Im from always has associates walking around willing to help...offering most of the time. This store is not organized the same as any Home Depot Ive ever been in either...and on top of that, with the Covid issue, the store has been a madhouse and both of my online orders and my neighbors online order have taken more than 3 days longer than the date that it said i would get it. If things are consistently that backed up, let the customer know. When I called last time the lady just said we have 500 times more orders than usual so we will just have to let you know. As I said above, just let the client know when they place the order that it will take 3-4 days longer...its that simple.
Great attitude with a helping spirit. They cut your wood and when you tell them the wrong size they dont rag you. They cut the next piece with helpful suggestions. Sat and Sunday last week Michael helped and today a young man I cant remember his name but he was very helpful. Military discounts!!!
I love it here this place has everything you need to decorate your yard or the inside of your house to do do it yourself projects if you need a garden in your yard or plants for the house this place has it and the people are helpful Ill be going back I want to put up a fence in my yard and I saw yesterday some very nice wooden fences privacy fences that I would definitely like to look at it again
Went to buy a tree today. I ask the lady about the tree ,she said she did not anything about PLANTS. It was not her department...She would not call a manger or supervisor , she said I could go inside and find someone in orange “LIKE YOU SEE ON TV” !!!!!!!!!!!! There was another guy I asked if Anyone was in charge!!!! He also said he did not know anything about the plants!!!!! I finally gave up and did not get the tree I wanted!! The bad thing is I drove from Phenix City , to shop at this store.. Never again!!!!!!!!! I have a Home Depot Card!!!! I paid it off and Cut it up.. Good Customer Service!!!!!!
This is a good place to deliver to. If it is still set up the same, it can be tight getting out, if they have product at the corner of the building. The first turn as you leave the unload area, thats what Im referring. Tight for a 53 foot flatbed trailor. But they will move things for you. Will deliver to again! Good staff. Nice additives. 👌
One older gentleman decided that straightening out wood beams were more important than me picking out wood for my project. I was actually the first person there and he came after. Normally I politely move out of the way but he was wedging himself in between my cart so I decided that I was going to see how long it took him to say something. He never said a word as he continously pushed my cart farther away with his body everytime he bumped it. So with that being said Home Depot that particular employee is what keeps you from being a 5 star in my book instead of a 4 star. He is a representation of your company unfortunately. But other than the one disgruntled employee everyone else was fair and created a decent shopping experience.
I wont fault the great customer service I received by the bad, but there was one lady at the customer service counter who needs to rethink her job. She made me feel so small and stupid for bothering her. You have no idea what people go through and how bad they need a nice pleasant face and attitude to help. Otherwise, the paint department and the lady who helped me when I first came in were amazing!
So I went into Home Depot today cuz Im doing a bathroom refurbishment me and my wife went in on aisle 28 and the Columbus Georgia Home Depot we asked for some assistance after we could not find what we were looking for, they kept calling over the radio we need some help on all 28. 30 minutes later nobody has showed up we have asked for someone to go get a manager nobody showed up we walked up to customer service to talk to them and when they call back they said the manager is now down in plumbing and he is assisting two other individuals so he cant come up here right now so we just left I live kind of in between Home Depot and Lowes I kind of liked Home Depot better but since this is the second or the third time Ive gotten poor customer service whenever I do need assistance Im going to give Home Depot about a week to reach out to me and if not I will just close my account and open up a Lowes account and be going there with my business I work in customer service so I know how important it is and I know actually how hard or how easy it can be to please people we just had some questions because we couldnt find something thats all but our time is very valuable
I have mixed reviews concerning this location. I have had boards cut several times, and they have been very helpful, and cut everything correctly each time. Generally they are very helpful when asking questions. However, ordering online and picking up is a joke. I had to wait over an hour to pick up my items even after I received the text saying my order was ready. It would have been faster to get the items myself. This has happened the two times I ordered online. They need to step up their game in this regard. I choose to go to HD over Lowes though because of their service in general.
My disabled husband was denied entry because he was not a “contractor” and was forced to walk to the complete other end of the store to enter. When he tried to speak to the store manager, she never showed up. We have since been trying to get someone at this store to answer to the phone for two days only to have it ring and be put on hold. When someone does answer, they hang up on you. Lowe’s will get all of our business! DO NOT SHOP HERE!
Always a great place to shop. If they dont have it it can be ordered. I always have to have a strict budget when I go otherwise I will buy a lot more than I can possibly carry home. Keep up the good work. Only complaint I have is I hate how everyone is going to a self check out, Im not a home Depot employee so checking myself out without an employee discount seems pointless.
I tried to call the Columbus Georgia location, and the first call the young lady answered and I asked to speak to someone that could tell me if they had a certain item in stock. She hesitated and said hold on. I held for about 8-9 minutes then the phone rang and rang on it’s on as if it was transferred. Then someone picked it up and hung up on me. Therefore, I proceed to call back and no one will answer. Not even the service desk. So I call again (the third time) and still to no avail no answer. All I had was a simple question to see if they had an item in stock before I made a 60 mile round trip to see! They (the Home Depot) just lost this 110.00 plus tax sale! Plus, they will probably have lost all of my future purchases! Which is not very good business considering I’m about to remodel my entire home!!
Tried to get a dishwasher here. The price plaque showed 598. When they told me they had order it I asked if we could just order online. They said yes. Well the price online was back to original price and not 33% off like their plague showed. So we tried to get the person to order it for us but he couldn’t figure it out. He got it down to 664 but said that’s it. I know people mis label things from time to time but the whole appliance section was showing 33% off. I’m over this store. Lowe’s price matched and gave the full %10 military discount.
Great selection over most home depots thanks to its placement within a large city. Great prices and the staff was very helpful and upbeat about helping others in finding what they need. I honestly recommend this home depot even if you live an hour or so drive away from it as I do.
This store is clean and organized. I think the signage of what’s on each isle could be better. I spent 5-6 minutes looking for something that wasn’t on the sign. It was also hard to find an associate for help. They only had one register open and the rest were self check out.
I’m actually rating them a three because I feel like a Hardware store especially one as big as Home Depot should hire employees that know what type of product they have a should at least know the type of tools and accessories that they sell. I called earlier to ask for a size 18 reverse torques socket and was told they didn’t have any and when I looked on the website I found the exact same thing I needed
Home Depot has everything for the DIY enthusiast! I come and shop here all the time. The staff is friendly and always willing to lend a hand with any project you have in mind. I have used online purchase services, in store delivery, and purchase and pickup later with no issue. The best part is Home Depot also offers military discount of 10% so we always appreciate that. This is one of the best options for getting any project done for your home. I would recommend this particular store because it’s just awesome.
Had a very hard time returning two item . Had a receipt for both items and a valid state issued weapons permit ( which has your picture, birth date, and address). They refused to give me my refund because my Id was not a driver license, military id, or passport but there own return policy just states a valid id. My weapon permit is a valid state issued id. Will probably never shop there again.
Bought a refrigerator 2 weeks ago. We were not told that it was a used or returned refrigerator, only that it had some scratches near the bottom of the door which looked like someone scraped it with a buggy or cart. Was purchased for an elderly diasabled couple 2 days prior to our leaving town. The day we left the couple told us that the refrigerator did not work and that everything they had in it had spoiled. We called the store and was told to bring it back, so upon our return we did that. Got to the store waited in the return line and then was told they would not take it back that we had to take it back home and wait for a repairman. That in itself was absurd. Got the store manager involved and after a great deal of discussion they took ot back with a 20 percent restocking feeI believe this unit had been sold before and returned possibly repaired but not properly. Wont be making anymore purchases from Home Depot.
Walked straight to the paint counter with my Behr paint app, showed the nice lady, she asked what finish (she had to talk me through that because I had no idea, lolol), and 10 min later I had two gallons of freshly mixed paint in Rockstar Pink and Ballerina Tutu for my daughters bedroom!!
The Home Depot shopping trip was great ! I took my father in law today. As we walked through, the doorman welcomed us . I ask him if he could get someone to help us in the trimmer section. He said he would have someone right there and he did. The associate helped us in finding the correct one we were looking for even though they did not have it . He did help with 1 more item. When checking out the price came up wrong and she corrected the problem. I highly recommend this home Store!!!
We had superior customer service from Neeta (sp?) and another woman who was Caucasian with short hair on 6/20/20. They went out of their way to help us pick out a washing machine. Neeta was so warm and friendly!! Good customer service definitely makes the difference!!
Messed up my order twice. The first one was shipped to California for some reason, the second time they ordered the wrong item and tried to blame it on me. Luckily I had all proper documents on hand and they re ordered a new Freezer that is not gonna arrive in time for what I needed it for. Better off heading to Lowes everytime.
Excellent customer service and ease of experience are the rule at this Home Depot. Its hard to believe their competitor, Lowes, cant even answer their phones at 9:40 p.m. I was looking for a little bit of flagging tape, and it was actually an easy decision for me after understanding that Lowes closes their phones 20 minutes before their business. Looks likes customer service isnt regularly stocked at Lowes.
Avoid Home Depot in Columbus,GA for appliance purchases. Once they have made a sale, they dont care if youve had multiple parts go bad in 30 days. Its not their problem.I purchased a Whirlpool dishwasher from Home Depot. The first time I used it, the pump did not work. Home Depot would not accept the return. I scheduled repair through Whirlpool and it took over a month to complete. After the pump was replaced, I noticed the dishwasher did not heat during the dry cycle. I contacted Home Depot corporate office and they stated they would help with the return. The local store; however, refused to accept the return even after a 2nd broken part during the first 30 days.I was willing to accept an even replacement or even spend more on a better model, but was told that they would not accept a return unless the dishwasher was not repairable. I was finally able to wash dishes four service calls and almost 2 months later.
Bought a stove from HD latter part of March, they wouldnt let me take it it had to be delivered. I go to pay for it the price on the stove was 398.00 by the time everything was added including a part I didnt need the price was over 500. The delivery date they gave me was June 3rd.Really! Well the date finally came and the stove was delivered all except the extra part they charged me for, not only that one of the burners dont match.needless to say I wont be buying any more big ticket items from them.
Double check every piece of wood you have them cut. I worked with 3 different guys to cut the wood I bought and every one was missing elementary school level math. It took one guy 12’ of wood to cut me 6’ worth of pieces correctly. Came home and one sheet of plywood was completely wrong.
This place is madhouse since COVID19. We went to pick up an online order. Dont. Just endure the line to get in. I think our biggest issue was the amount of employees that just seemed to be walking around. We sat outside the curbside pickup for nearly an hour, even after notifying them online that we were there. Home Depot could seriously use some of those random employees walking around doing nothing to direct traffic or tend to the massive walking and driving lines. There needs to be some semblance of order outside. As a logistican, I was appalled at the lack of coordination. This is the second chance we gave to Home Depot to earn our business, its back to Lowes for us.
The help in the store only deserved 4 stars, par for the course with any home depot , but the rental department deserves 6 stars! Super helpful post- hurricane Micheal , and saved me money by helping me choose the equipment I actually needed, not just what I thought I needed. I dont know the dudes name, but thanks dude!
I like home depot. It is a whole star better than Lowes but outside of wood and nails I never find what I am looking for. Electrical breakers on Monday. Web said you had them. Alas they did not. So I got to orbit columbus trying to find a common breaker. It was hot. My home ac was not working and I didnt have the time to wait 3 to 5 days for it to be air dropped to me. If the website has it the store should. City electric had one. I bought it then. I didnt have to wait nor navigate home depots clunky website. Still 4 stars cause I like home depot better than Lowes. They get three stars. Guess who gets 5 stars?? City electric thats who. I thank you.
Theres nicer stores out there but unfortunately, this is the only Home Depot in Columbus. You learn to live with what they have. Most associates dont know anything. Theyre usually out of what you want. They dont pack down like theyre supposed to and its dirty. I worked at another store in metro Atlanta and in comparison, this place is a dump.
Bought a gas oven that came with free delivery and installation. Then they said we cant convert it over to LP, so no installation, now theyve delayed delivery 3 times and will not allow customer pick up. What a joke. Will not be patronizing them any more. Very unprofessional and very poor customer service.
Good selection and similar prices to lowes. Only offers military discount up to $50. Some of the associates like Cat in the paint department were very helpful and some were not. One employee in flooring acted like I inconvenienced her when I asked about the availability of flooring. I will probably shop more at lowes.
My husband and I went to purchase 5 sliding glass doors and have our builder pick them up for install. we Purchased them and left all the info for pickup. Our builder had to make 4 trips to pick up the doors, each time was a different excuse that they gave him. no one knew what was going on. after finally picking the doors up and my builder going to install them one door was the wrong door so we had to exchange it evenly for another. (left for a right) and when he went to exchange it took him 2 times to exchange it after we personally went in and talked to the manager they said they did not have it in stock and would pick another one up that day from another store and have it ready for our builder to pick up once again. needless to say it was not there that afternoon and our builder had to come back the next day to pick it up... in the mean time our house had a hole with no door!!!! On top of all this madness I had ordered 5 screens to go with the doors... and no one had these ready for pick up any times that anyone went up there to pick up anything!!!! I have still not received my screens and its been over a week! but they are on my credit card! never again after this project will I deal with anyone at home depot.
Went to checkout, there was only one register open. Asked the lady working the self checkout and she offered to ring me out there. Once she rang the items up she walked away to help someone else and then yelled back that I was good to pay for my merchandise, I walked out. I officially will never step foot in another home depot ever again because theyre customer service at this store is terrible. Funny thing is I hate Lowes but will now shop there and never at the Home Depot.
The staff is knowledgeable and attentive. The employees are patient with weekend house renovators. Some busy weekends, you may have to wait for an associate to help you, but that is expected within this industry. If need help, just ask for assistance. You can get frustrated looking for supplies in such a big store.
I have been going to Home Depot for a while now and have had only one bad experience.. It was just one of those days when nothing or anything else went right. Even on that trip I was able to locate items that were going to be needed in the future. The staff will go out of their way to help, all you need to do is ask!
They had what I wanted, why there is one star, but customer services means more to me when I visit a place than purchasing the items I need. I got in line to checkout and lucky for me I was using the riding cart, as soon as I was in line, the cart was hit by one of the employees who was carrying a large long item from the checkout. As he was backing back with the item, he didnt bother to look behind him and the large item hit the basket of the riding cart ignoring warning from the clerk what he was doing. Had I been standing there without being in the cart, he would have clearly hit me with that large item. Beside doing that, what got me was the rude fact he did not even apology for hitting the cart which would have been clearly me if i had not been in the cart.
Their is a guy there that is not employed at HD that solicits work from older people and takes their money and does horrible work.. he also talks bad about the employees he yells and screams of them and acts like his their manager he has cause issues with previous customers he has even been allowed to go into the break room and cause issues there. As soon as I find out his name I will be contacting corporate.... I only gave get a one-star review because it would get noticed then hopefully someone will reply other than that I left Home Depot their employees are top-notch and the management pro desk and customer service are bar none better than anyone around
Not good! 40 minutes to check out because no one could figure out how to put in my Pro coupon for paint. Sent me to customer service and they were rude. I go there multiple times a week because it is conveinent but the help is terrible except the plumbing department. If you need plumbing help, please go there. Otherwise go to the Phenix city store.
No help period was in the store for over an hour and still no resolution. Was given an estimate but not sold in Home Depot stores. Consultant would NOT tell me or show me pictures of the gutters. I dont understand how im gonna be 100% satisfied with something I can see first.
This has nothing to do with the customer service or employees and is entirely based on the lousy customers and whoever laid out this store. I live near this location and every time I drive by some redneck in a giant pickup comes plowing out without an interest of public safety or right of way laws. Regularly there are spills of paint and lumber as these idiots blast out of the parking lot. If home depot could install a sign or something to remind these beatniks that the rules of the road apply when entering the road that would be awesome for public safety.

2021-12-31Everyone was very nice and helpful. Had several employees offer to help me find things if needed. They asked how we were. Well stocked store from what I could tell. Would recommend!

2022-03-16Some very helpful people; was looking for N95 masks. Very patient and helpful employee did not just direct me but took time to show me the items and answer questions. Checkout sometimes involves waiting but they have self- service checkout too.

2022-05-03Gary gave me such wonderful customer service. Taking me all around to find everything on my shopping list. I wouldve been lost without this young man. Hire more people like him who are eager to help. Great job young man!

2022-04-24Home Depot visit is always great, but always spend more money than I planned on spending. Walked in to get mulch and left with mulch and a Battery operated Ryobi 40V Brushless attachment capable weed eater. A $30 visit turned in to a $250 visit. Thank God for the military discount.

2022-03-15Always has great sales but like a lot of businesses I patronize these days, they were short on Staff. That made for a very frustrating, unpleasurable experience. Everything that I needed to purchase was out of reach and it took for ever to find someone to assist me.Then they have to find someone to operate the forklift-type machine to take it down......They need to pull out all the stops to hire enough personnel. Even the young lady assisting me was equally fustrated because she could not find anyone to help her. Customer Service couldnt find one to help me load up my purchase. 2 customers coming out the store had to help me lift the boxes off the cart onto the truck.....not good!

2022-04-27I am a truck driver and I made a delivery at store #0136 at 2891 Sowega Drive in Columbus, GA on Monday, 4/25/22. There was only one dock door open and I just couldnt back into it for the life of me. I pulled to the side of the building and asked one of the employees, who happened to be on a forklift, for assistance with unloading the freight from my trailer from where I had parked. Without hesitation, he immediately began to help me with not only removing the freight from the trailer, but also with getting the freight to the tail of the trailer so that he could remove it with his forklift. I am very appreciative of his assistance, but what stood out most about him was his positive attitude. I wasnt a customer that day, but I received impeccable customer service. That young mans name is Cameron...I just wanted to give credit where its due.

2022-02-08Some of the staff in this store are friendly. You will have to walk around this store to find help; no one will say can I help you find something. I have been looking for stuff in the store before, and when you ask for help, they act like you are bothering them. With that being said, the staff will also lead you to the wrong area of the store for products. So just be ready to look for products on your own.

2022-04-21I purchased a hot water heater today and when the plumber opened the carton there was damage to the bottom of the water heater. It had dents to the bottom. I took pictures of the the damage and went back to see if they would give me a credit. The plumber said the damage shouldnt be a problem. I couldnt find the receipt and they said if I could find it they would give me a discount on it. They had used my card as a return earlier so I would think they could do it for this purchase. I will try again to find my receipt.
