Went to pick up two bi-fold doors that said they were $57 online and I get there and theyre 67 said they could not match their online prices. False advertisement I would have ordered them online and picked them up for $20 I was already going there to get them because they were cheaper. I just feel violated and paid $20 more Ive never seen anything like that false advertisement. But but you know its not worth the hour Ill have to spend on the phone to get my $20 back.. sucks
Well i cant really say because I love love home Depot but this one the employees didnt seem to know where anything was no help was there looking for magnetic tail light for trailer and ask three different employees they said they didnt them one even sent us up to the lumber department lol so what I can say is knowledge of where u work is where it is folks lol 😂
Not a very good experience ask four different employees where the trailer tail light be located two said they didnt sale them one said she didnt know the other said up on isles 15 which put us in the what lmao lumber department OK guts get it together and if you work there you should learn what yall do sale and where it is especially if yall are running a sale on them like yall was the trailer tale lights bahhaa
Go to Lowe’s instead. They stand behind their products and services. The Home Depot “installers” didn’t install our washing machine properly and flooded our new house. Reached out to Home Depot and when they finally did respond (after months of back and forth of them blaming their insurance and then the installer) they said they weren’t going to make the situation right. Not even a refund of the delivery fee. So good luck if you get them to install or deliver anything. They won’t stand behind it and will load you down in red tape if something goes wrong instead of making it right. Especially if your order online because no one is responsible then. The store it came out of pushes it to corporate who pushes it to insurance who pushes it to the installer and they push it back to Home Depot. Go to Lowe’s. If something does go wrong (and it will, that’s life) they’ll make it right.
I needed to rent the truck, but they didnt have the truck they only had the van. Which ended up working perfectly for me because I only needed to move a new dining set that I had just purchased. It was very cheap. I only ended up paying about $35 total. They charge you initially $19.99 and then for every 15 minutes over the 75 minutes they give you its an extra $5. And I think you have to replace the gas if you use too much of it. However, I didnt have to because I only went to get the furniture drop it off at my house and I brought it right back. There is an initial $150 deposit. However according to how long you keep it they subtract your total amount from the $150 deposit and then they give you your money back.
I needed a new wheelbarrow. I looked online for one. Normally I am a Lowes shopper. They did not have my new toy in stock.Home Depot had 3, so on my way home from work I stopped and picked one up. They have a store map on their website it led me straight to my wheelbarrow replacement.Check out my new Gorilla Cart.My trip was successful the folks were friendly Home Depot had my cart. The price was comparable to Lowes. Im sure Ill be back!
Staff was feeling lazy the day I visited, ask several workers for assistance as they just pointed or stated they didnt know or ask other workers was their advice, and yet as ONE employee ear hustled the last one before I went to lo%%S ♡ she helped me to the correct isle although unfortunately they were out of the items I was needing,and I still went to the competition and they were fully stocked with the item and $356.00 of other items I didnt particularly need just got into the moment as it was pleasant to shop there.
Great well stocked store. What your shopping for is categorized by signs at the end of every isle witch makes everything easy to find. I shop there often. Most of the staff are very welcoming and very knowledgeable. Clean restrooms, plenty of parking. Good all around shopping experience. We just purchased a dishwasher here. Our salesman Teddy Wells was great. He took time to explain to my wife the highlights of four different washers before her finally deciding on one. Teddy is truly an asset to home depot. People like him make Home Depot the success that it is. Way to go Teddy .
Nothing is where it should be, I ask where something is at and if they even know what im talking about, they send me to the wrong isle and say its in bay 7 where the welding equipment is when im asking for fireplace stuff. also its really hard to just leave the store. nobody is in the garden center and there is 600 employees inside in customer service talking to each other. how is this store still here? because its savannah and there are 2 stores for you to choose from and you didnt want to drive to Pooler, thats the only reason.
I like Home Depot. I can go in, pick up what I need or even walk around window shopping for ideas. I never have to worry about sales people bothering me. Yet, I can usually find help when I need it. They are mostly self-serve checkout now, which is good and bad. Most likely a necessity due to employee shortages in Savannah right now.
I bought a washing machine there and paid to have it delivered and 2 guys came out there and wouldnt hook supply lines up was going to push it in beside the dryer without unwinding the drain line. I stopped them before he did and got drain line into the hole you put it in he told me he could have just put it out on side of road. Very very rude. Home Depot needs to know what kind of people they have delivering there stuff.
Gwen went above and beyond to help me. I live 1.5 hours away and she personally made sure the product was there and ready before ordering it online or driving there. Inventory online is always questionable at any store so it was very nice of her to put her eyes on it. Thanks again
If you’re looking for an appliance- talk to Teddy! He is amazing! We have been looking for weeks for a dryer and NOT ONE STORE has been even 1/4 as helpful as Teddy. The store should be extremely proud. We talked to Lowe’s next door and the customer service wasn’t even comparable as they offered no help. Teddy went above and beyond- walking us through the process, giving us advice, and making sure that we know the questions and things to look at whenever the delivery people drop it off! He set us up for success! What an amazing employee! Home Depot- he deserves a raise!!!

Plus, its literally a big box store where most of the customers are contractors, so if youve been thinking about a home project, but are intimidated by what you perceive as extensive labor and product knowledge, you can generally find another customer/contractor in that line of work. Home Depot also provides lots of services, installations, and consultations, all while maintaining and abiding by CDC rules and guidelines to help prevent the spread of covid-19. Why would you go anywhere else for anything that has to do with home improvement?
I love Home Depots, and have never had a bad experience till I went to this Home Depot on Abercorn st. I was looking for plumbers tape and could not find it. I went to seek out an associate to help me. I found 2 male associates talking to each other, I approach them and asked where I could find the plumbers tape. They looked as if I interrupted the most important conversation of their lives, then one says go to isle 7 and turned to the other man and continued on with his conversation.Off to Isle 7 I went and searched high and low till I asked a customer if they could help me. We found the tape in an unmarked box. What should have been an in and out, 5 minute shopping trip, took almost 25 minutes. I gave this 2 stars because the girl at the self check out was very friendly, otherwise it would have been no stars.
If you know what you need, and where it is in the store, and you dont think youll ever need to buy the same item again, Home Depot is pretty good. The stores are increasingly devoid of humans help. Folks that are there are more interested in staring at the ground than making any contact with a customer. You will occasionally find a remnant worker in electrical or lumber or plumbing that is knowledgeable and would like to help. Walmart might actually be surpassing them in online ordering, completion and delivery,
I urge any and everybody to never ever purchase appliances from home Depot.1. They do not carry any appliances in the store besides the ones on display.2.If one item is on backorder they will not ship the other items unless you choose another one.3. They wait till 24 hours prior to your schedule delivery to notify you that it will not be there on that date.4. Once they reschedule the delivery there is nothing that you can do about it unless you cancel the entire order.5. You will spend continuous hours and days speaking with many different people trying to resolve the issues just for them to tell you that there is nothing that they can do.6. They will not compensate you for any inconvenience.7. They will play the blame game in between the manufacturer and the third-party delivery company.8. Delivery company will try to hustle your mother into paying them cash to install the appliances after waiting 3 months for them to show up.
I just opened a design business in downtown Savannah and have been working on my new showroom for the past 3 months. I have been to Home Depot so many times I lost count and have gotten accustomed to having to figure things out on my own. The store I frequent is not the most helpful and I have NEVER had anyone actually ask me if I needed assistance. I happened to be on the Southside so I thought Id just pop in to this location to grab the wood I needed for a wall Im building. I wasnt in the aisle but 30 seconds and Gus asked if I needed any help. I was blown away. Not only did he simply ask, I told him what I was trying to build and he gave me several different options and ways I could do it. Then we measured out different cuts and I decided on what would work. I had to run and grab one other thing but of course got side tracked and he rolled the cart all through the store to find me and make sure I didnt need help with anything else. I am still in shock at how knowledgeable and helpful he was. I will specifically drive the 20 minutes out of my way from now on to go back to this location. If I was more established I would have hired him on the spot. When shopping here, find Gus!
This Home Depot has everything very nice people here they have everything you could possibly imagine if you remodeling your house or you need tools or supplies also Home Depot Beach Loews prices and they have just about everything their products are way more dependable than Lowe’s I give them five stars
Comparing this store to the lowes right beside it they are head and shoulders above when it comes to customer service. The guy that works in the doors and windows is always helpful. He always asks if you need help and then volunteers to check you out so you dont have to wait in line up front. Almost makes you feel like you are at a family owned hardware store. Great experience
It’s hit or miss, honestly. Sometimes I have a good experience there and sometimes it’s the opposite. Today I had two encounters with two different employees who seemed extremely irritated when I asked for help. Both seemed more concerned with their instagram/facebook than helping customers or even being at work. Once I was able to get the attention of one of the workers, she had no idea what I was taking about and didn’t care to even find someone who could answer my question. I’ll go to Ace from now on
This is my favorite store, and I always leave with what I need purchase wise. My only reason for 4 stars....the tool rental department needs improvement. I like that you can rent lawn mowers now, but too many times I have called ahead and then get to the store and the tools I requested are either broken or out of stock.
Stopped here already knowing which refrigerator I wanted to buy. There were 2 customers in appliance and I was 3rd in line for an associate. After waiting 10 min, I asked both other shoppers if they had been helped. They had not. I went to the customer service desk and asked for help. They paged over head and I waited 15 more minutes with no sign of an associate. I went back to customer service to complain that there were now 5 people waiting.... and NO ONE CARED til I said I was going to leave a review... then, everyone wanted to help... I declined. Told them they had wasted enough of my time. As I was leaving NO ONE WENT TO HELP THE WAITING CUSTOMERS in the appliance section. I came back in and stared and told them i was waiting on someone to help the people waiting back there. They did, but acted like I was being unreasonable. I went next door to Lowes and had a much better experience.
Dont ever buy an appliance here. Their delivery and install company that they use are beyond incompetent, and Home Depot will absolutely accept none of the responsibility for it. Wasted my time speaking with the manager who was willing to do nothing to actually help resolve my issue. The install company never called to say when they were coming, and when they showed up at 8pm, managed to forget the hardware kit needed to install my dishwasher. Now they are telling me they cant come back till 10 days from now. Unreal. Will never shop Home Depot again.Update: Home Depot did credit back my installation cost after the tremendous hassle.
If a Veteran asks for the discount offered by HD, they are probably struggling financially.Fact check: It is against the law to impersonate a Veteran and over 70% of veterans do not have a veterans card.To refuse someone a minor discount, especially a Veteran, is just wrong! I will NOT be shopping at the Abercorn Home Depot anymore. Shame on you.
By far the absolute worst experience I have ever had in a home depot store. Nowhere have I seen employees with less initiate to help a customer. First, he completely ignored me standing there for 5 minutes, then acted aggravated I even asked for his assistance. Online said the store had 16 of the LED lights in stock, I only saw two on the shelf. He said we didnt have anymore without bothering to check the system or overstock or anything. Then, when I go to checkout, apparently all yall have now is self checkout. No other registers open. What a pathetic excuse for customer service. Good luck keeping loyal customers by ignoring their presence and refusing to help.
Home Depot nationally offers a 10% discount for veterans with proper identification. I brought my VA card as the Home Depot website instructed after honorably serving active duty Army however this specific store does not honor that policy. No problem, Lowes is next door.
Does anyone even work there? Needed help in the lumber section, had to go to the self checkout lanes to even find anyone that could call for assistance in lumber. Went back to lumber, waited... And waited... No one showed up to help. Left, went to Lowes and got the assistance I needed immediately.
My husband went to home Depot to purchase a new weed eater today and since our military IDs expired on the 26 we knew they wouldnt take it so my husband showed his VA card since its given so you can still get your discount well they did not want to honor it! We have always shopped at home Depot for everything but for now on Lowes will be the store we shop at! Its terrible that you guys dont honor the VA card even though thats why theyre given to us. You have now lost our business for good!!!!!!!!
I have been doing business at home depot for so many years i cant remember. i have no problem with the materials, nor the service, however, i have been trying to get a home depot card for the same amount of years, and even tho i have 3 credit cards, a bank account, with card, i still get rejected every time i apply for a card. this time it has upset me to the point where i am considering taking my business to lowes.
Worst experience ever. Freezer was delivered 4 months late. Delivery drivers were rude and wouldn’t help installing the freezer’s wheels for an old woman. When their supervisor was contacted, the drivers went online and gave our business a bad rating on google that was totally fake.
What a horrific morning. We are new to the area and needed a BBQ so we did our research and agreed to buy from Home Depot. Our SUV is not large enough to accommodate the BBQ so we opted to rent a load n go truck from Home Depot. Great Price and was perfect for the job. Bought the BBQ, some other landscaping items and had the HD staff load the truck. Off we go to bring home our purchases and WOW just a few miles down the road the BBQ is airborn and smack dab in the middle of the 3 lane road! Thankfully no one or vehicles were hit - no injuries! Pulled over and called the police. Police came and pulled the wreckage to the side of the road then helped us load it back onto the truck. We went back to Home Depot and spoke with a manager. John was wonderful! We now have a brand new, non road rash BBQ and cant wait to fire up the grill and bring John and Natasha from the rental department a huge grilled steak to say thank you for making a horrific morning into a blessed day!
Went to Home Depot for a DIY project, Mr. John (in Plumbing) helped me with every step and even made sure I got the things I didnt know I would need to connect the project all together. He was very resourceful and patient with my indecisiveness. I know I was a pain in the butt but he was very calm and walked aisle to aisle to make sure I was prepared for the project. THANK YOU MR. JOHN... I WILL BE LOOKING FOR YOU WITH MY NEXT PROJECT... It turned out wonderful and I took heed to all of the advice you gave!! THANKS!
I love the home Depot they sell all kinds of tooling welders and supplies home decor patio furniture and canopies a big plus is they sell high carbon and low carbon steel stock including aluminum stock and threaded rod in metric and sae prices are a bit high on the downside of some products AAAA++++
Ive been shopping here monthly for years and have never had a single problem. Sometimes I feel bad asking where something is because I know the staff will always walk me to it and go above and beyond helping me out. Ive had a couple returns after buying the wrong things, every time it was quick and easy no questions asked. Awesome service.
I have always chosen Home Depot over the Lowes but my last two visits to the store have stunk!!!!! Customer service is nonexistent in the store😳! I dont know how many salespersons walked passed and did not offer assistance. Even when I asked for help. Unbelievable!!! Maybe I will try again in the morning. It could very well be me.
Terrible customer service. I just walked out after waiting for help at the Customer Service desk. The lady working the return desk said she needed to go in break. Left her light on and told me and another lady to go to the Customer Service side then walked off.Only one other lady was there, working with someone else. The customer before me kept asking for help bringing a large item to her car. Multiple intercom calls made for assistance but no help.A line of 4 people forms at the Returns desk because the light was on. No help. When someone else does show up, they assist those in that line while Im ignored. Maybe I was overlooked but still.... Terrible, terrible, TERRIBLE!!! Once Im able to finally make my return Ill never come back.
Love it so much. I nearly live in there. Sometimes I dont know the name of what Im looking for. And the employees take their time to help you to the fullest. And if they dont have it. I had some tell me to look online and order. And they online order pick up is perfect. They notify you when they have it. Again another place customers act like employees. Very helpful friendly place.
This store is the absolute worst. I have spent thousands at the store across town and never had problems. The staff is about as knowledgeable as a bag of hammers. Ive used the strike out rule twice in this store where I ask 3 employees where to find something and get 3 wrong answers then I go to another store. Ive been told something is out of stock and found dozens on a shelf. The hours listed on the website say theyre open til 10, but at 9 they lock the doors. The ignorant employees not only provide bad/useless information, but they also just chat amo hat themselves and get in the way. This is by far the worst home improvement store Ive been to. Go to the one on Victory Dr.
Service was terrible. While trying to explain what I needed to one of the employees they literally acted as if I was speaking in another language. I visited this location today to see if I could get assistance with cutting a glass bottle. Needless to say, it appears that my request was something to laugh at and not offer any assistance. I left and went next door to LOWES. I gave 3 stars because the young lady at customer service gave me a proper greeting.
I placed a online order on the 8th and it was to be delivered to Savannah in 2 days on the 10th. the 15 th savannah home depot still cannot find my order. I have two days wages lost because of this orderGood luck to anyone else using savannh abercorn home depot.I went to pick up my order at the savannah abercorn store. The order was incomplete and I was hoping It would be resolved. The customer service contact called the store in North Carolina, where it was ordered. The contact response where short and did not help and even hung up on the customer service person that was helping me. Devin was my contact and inspite of the person she got no help from made sure she would do all she could to help me . I was blessed that she took over and completed my transaction and was able to me happy with my purchase. The world needs more people like Devin...Thank you Devin.
I just purchased a Dremel Stylo+ model number 2050-15. I’ve used several different tools to put holes in pots for my wife’s succulent garden. They all failed. I used it today, and it was, by far, the easiest, fastest, and not one pot was damaged in the end. I recommend this tool for anyone who needs to get a job done, and done well.I am receiving a free accessory pack from Dremel in exchange for my honest review.
The service is horrible. After waiting on an aisle for someone to assist me, I made my way back to the front a second time only to have the young man who was suppose to help me, turn and go to another aisle never to be seen again, his name was Greg. Ultimately I had to cut my own wood.
Who in the world ever heard of a home depot that doesnt carry at least a single color of v.c.t.?! The manager of the paint dept. proceeds to tell me you need to go to a real flooring store to get v.c.t. No suggestive sale...no lemme try to help..a proper pitiful experience at this home depot!!

I was very disappointed at the Home Depot on Abercorn I could not find anybody that would help me the skill saw that I wanted all the boxes were crunched up and broken into I explain to them and seeing that it was a Christmas present would rather have a nicer-looking box he told me to take it or leave it so I went to the Home Depot on Victory Drive where the people Help me immediately the box and the saw were perfect
I would never again refer or personally purchase another appliance here period for 2 weeks now we have been working on getting our dryer properly installed we purchased a washer and dryer with all warranties installation over 1400$ on july 31st was delivered on the 4 Aug a sat at 530 pm the delivery agents were very rude i could tell they were tired even offered water with no response spoke Spanish the entire time and when he finally spoke to me directly he told me he couldnt install my dryer because of the plug I asked them to wait a moment as my fiance was around the corner he said theres nothing else he could do and just left as he pulled out fiance pulls in so I didnt understand how to explain because I didnt understand the true issue the dryer was in that space before so I call customer service line given on paperwork you only have 48 hrs to call and day if anythings done improperly so I did it immediately explaining how rude I felt the delivery service was and that not only did he not hook up the dryer but that he broke the foot peg so its not level it rocks he also didnt test the appliances to see if they even worked I tested the washer they apologized ensured we would get a new dryer delivered on the 7th so here I am on the 7th waiting because they give you a 5hr window I called an hour before the 5th hour to find out that the order placed had been cancelled with no call to inquire to know or to inform me why the order was cancelled so my fiance goes to the store speaks with the manager who is blaming GE and the delivery company thats a third party so its not home depots fault lol but promises the situation will be taken care of on the following day so it is now the 8th I call the line again to find out we are not on the schedule me and my mother in law with my 7 week old daughter go up to the store this time spoke with the store manager who makes some calls had me talk to a representative on the phone they say theyre coming out there sincerely sorry blah blah blah we recieve a call the next day sorry you have to call the manufacturer and they will come out and fix the dryer I said no this has been going on for entirely to long yall are playing pass the buck and we were told we were going to recieve a new device rep on the phone we apologize for whoever misinformed you however GE is who will have to fix your issue so long story short because i could continue our dryer leg is still broken a lady called me this morning aug 14 with the delivery company stating they arent coming back out that its on GE if thats the case HOME DEPOT shouldnt sell the product if they cant take responsibility for what happens with the delivery service contracted through them to get the job done Im going to Lowes or Best Buy from now on there are to many hands and third parties and not enough responsible adults who care about customer service for me to even want to walk in this store again and its conveniently across the street from my house I will drive to hinesville 1st
Very very very piss poor service. I was callled and told me that l h ad to come and pick up a will call order which l bought and paid for on Monday the 14th. That if l didnt get the order today it would be restocked. I rushed to hone depot to pick up my just to learn that the order never had been pulled and the lady was making a very big scene hoping that l would act a fool so she could call the police so she could get me arrested

We greatly appreciate the personalized service he provided, his kindness, and professionalism. It is extremely unusual to encounter this level of service in a Big box store.

2022-06-28I bought my first set of dryer and washer. I was pregnant at the time with my first child. I had gone on my own. The representatives were extremely helpful and they made sure I had everything I needed. They strapped everything for me and made sure I had someone to help me take them down. From the seller who ordered the units to the tool rental department, everyone was extremely helpful and courteous. There is a local Lowes nearby but their customer service is not great. They answer the phone and hang up on me and my mother. I have to drive an hour to get to Home Depot but it is worth it. Especially if you want to be treated fairly.

2022-06-06Very disappointed in the customer service provided at this location. Drove 70+ miles to purchase items for home repairs after with multiple building supply companies and finding that Home Depot-Abercorn had the product needed in stock. Spoke to two different representatives on arrival who were unaware of the location of the items and finally found a nice young man who pointed me directly to where I needed to be. Two checkout lines open plus self-checkout. Utilized self-checkout for convenience. Required assistance for military discount. Clerk seemed annoyed that customer required assistance and quickly verified and walked away, leaving approval screen active. Unable to complete transaction without further assistance and again had to request assistance. Separate transaction immediately following required assistance again for gift card purchase. Self-checkout kiosk alerted however clerks were admiring dogs as another customer was leaving the store and did not acknowledge audiovisual alert. Clerk bypassed kiosk requiring assistance to assist next customer in self-checkout line. Attempted to go to normal checkout at lighted register 7, however gate was closed and no clerk at register. Walked to customer service to be instructed to return to self-checkout. Advised of requirement of assistance for gift card and no assistance provided at kiosk and was finally able to checkout despite the initial customer service representative insistence that I return to self-checkout. Not one single employee acknowledged the issue or expressed remorse following a nearly $1000 purchase. I will not return to this Home Depot and I am extremely saddened that customers, let alone military personnel, are treated in such a dismissive manner. Do better, Home Depot.

2022-04-01I was there for specific plants. I was told at the cashier that I needed to apply for military discount but she would just run it for that day only. I needed another plant that I forgot so I returned there proximally 10 minutes later but the different lady was at the cashier and she wouldnt give me the discount because they already ran it once and said I needed to apply it. I understand they have a policy that has changed but people in general get the notification of companys policy change prior to actual visits. And its not like I was there in a different day or not even hours later. I didnt have enough time to apply for that stupid registration or whatever. For the convenience of customers they couldve just run it for that day as I was told. Its not like I didnt show a proof of being eligible for the benefit. I had no time to download and register that stupid app that I rather wanted to not buy items I can always get from elsewhere especially Lowes right next to them.

2022-03-08Everything about Houseware. Some employees friendly but some of them not. İf you are going to get big products like wash machine you need to be careful about shipping and set your product up. Because home Depot doesnt accept any issues while they are setting up. They broke my closet door. Home Depot insurance company made decision that is not their responsibility. 🤔

2022-05-31I walked around Lowes for an hour or more. I was looking for plumbing material. Not one employee offered help. As a matter of fact, every employee I made eye contact with, ran the other way in fear they might i night ask a question. Out of frustration I left and decided to go next door to Home Depot. I walked in and found the plumbing section. John was stocking shelves. I asked for what I was looking for and he pulled the part from a shelf across the isle. 30 seconds , I had what I needed! Unbelievable! What a difference it makes . Im dome with Lowes after all these years because of John Im plumbing. Home Depot has my business from here after because of John. I will be there tomorrow to talk the store manager about John. Thank you, sir.

2022-05-16Really unpleasant experience. my partner and I reserved a moving truck three weeks in advance with Penske (they were a great help, no issues there), but once we arrived early, we ended up waiting and not being taken seriously by the home depot staff. everyone knows how seriously time sensitive moving is, so to be waiting around while the rental truck department remained empty well after our scheduled time was incredibly frustrating. i recommend going with Penske trucks for your move, but don’t come here to get them.
