Picked up my very first bike shop mountain bike last week from the Hub. Brian was incredibly helpful and helped me snag this Marlin 5 which are hard to find right now. Took it for its first spin today and you could just tell how well built and put together the bikes are. Brakes were incredibly responsive, nothing jolted out of places, and the bike performed well (for a novice).Support your local bike shop and pick up your next bike at Hub. You won’t regret it.
I RARELY post reviews on here and I’ve never thought to myself, “I can’t wait to get home to give this place a review”. But, after purchasing a couple of bikes from The Hub today, that’s how I felt.My wife wanted a specific bike and we put it on hold a few weeks ago. The staff was great to work with over the phone. We drove down to Athens from Charlotte to pick up her bike and look at one for me. Everyone in the shop was so helpful. We did a test ride and I ended up coming home with Trek Verve 2.I literally told my wife that I’m disappointed that The Hub won’t be our regular shop for repairs & service. The purchasing experience was informative, helpful and pain free.
The Hub’ is what locals call it and it feels more like a local hub than a shop who wants to sell you something. I am dictating this so forgive any typos. This place is the best bike shop I’ve ever been to not just in Athens, Georgia; the owner Brian the staff Jim and crew are all quick efficient and friendly and most importantly very knowledgeable in all bicycles especially high end and racing bikes as they all have raced before both rode bikes and Mountain bikes. I have bought both of my bicycles there and am about to buy my third. I think their service is some of the best also. Any issue I have they look at immediately and put me on their schedule to have me back on the road as soon as they can. They also have happy hour and a beer license and Minnie friendly faces come 530 in the afternoon. One of my favorite things is that they host group rides all over town many different days of the week. About to go ride my loaner Trek “Stache 5” which they rented to me for the weekend. Go check out the hub for sure! Tell them Nelson sent you. ;)
Awesome bike shop. Super friendly staff. I have purchased a bike here, had it serviced, and bought quite a few various things. I took a basic maintenance class here as well. I enjoyed the class, and I even considered taking the advanced class. My Trek 3500 was my first real mountain bike, and after 7 years, it’s still a sharp bike! It still performs very well! I use it to ride my son now, and ride my 29’er for solo rides.
Everyone I worked with at The Hub was very professional and courteous while helping me with my needs. I brought in my bike and they did a full multi-point inspection and walked me through all the different repairs needed and were knowledgeable on all matters. I would definitely recommend them to anyone in the Athens area!
First time back into biking in quite a long time. Did a ton of researching and decided to go shop locally for a new bike. Been wanting to bike around town as a hobby.Needless to say bike shop is amazing. Out of all the bike shops I stopped to in Athens, these guys talked with me, asked what I was looking for and customized their recommendations based on exactly what I was looking for. They also did stay within my given price range which is amazing. They were very realistic about what I would need vs what I wanted. Maybe someday I’ll get a road bike too!The staff are friendly, knowledgeable, and have gone above and beyond making this entire experience easy, affordable, and informational.I was able to take my bike out this morning, and found myself out for a few hours already. Thank you so much.
Absolutely amazing!! I’ve wanted a specific road bike for a while. The bikes I’ve been looking for has been backordered for a long time due to the pandemic. Sarah has been keeping me in the loop for months in trying to find me the right bike that I’m looking for. They recently got one in the store that I was able to test ride and purchase today.I had tons of questions and I was given a response to all of them. They went out of their way to be able to answer anything I was wondering about. All in all my experience was amazing with all the employees at the shop. I will for sure be back for any future biking needs.
I wanted to convert a 2016 2x10 drivetrain on my Bike to a more modern drivetrain setup like a 1x12 or 1x11. Another shop had sold me on a 1x12 setup that didn’t fit my bike or shift correctly from a test ride. After 2.5 weeks of waiting on them to “figure it out” and minimal communication I asked for them to remove the new parts and refund my money. I found The Hub online and was turned over to Joe. The man listened to the issues I had and within the first 15 minutes I was there figured out the other shops mistake. A 1x12 drivetrain doesn’t fit my bike because of a specific part. Joe sold me different brand parts that he knew fit my bike. A 1x11 setup That shifts precisely and quickly as Joseph said it would. I received a specific date that my bike would be done. A txt message and email on the day it was done. Pickup was seamless. My mountain bike is my main source of exercise and how I keep my sanity. This wasn’t Joe taking on someone else’s problem looking like the hero, it’s just how he treats customers. Honestly and with integrity. I highly highly recommend The Hub and Joe for anything bicycle related.
Very helpful and friendly service even amidst the current pandemic. Joseph did a fantastic job providing a number of options to meet our expressed needs and anticipated some of needs that we had not yet identified. He was fantastic with our daughter who is still learning to ride without training wheels (and I took some pointers on teaching her from watching him). There was no pressure in the sales. Even after working with us for 30+ minutes, there was no perceivable issue with us leaving without purchasing anything because we needed to coordinate with Santa. I came back later that day to purchase the bike and helmet.
As a first time bike rider getting into biking during covid, everything looked pretty daunting. I had no idea what I wanted in terms of bike type, size, or wheel type, but the team at the Hub were super helpful in searching for a perfect fit for me and teaching me the basics. They helped me pick out a bike I use for my daily commute around campus, and have answered the many questions Ive had with great patience and care. I still pass by to buy accessories or ask for advice - its definitely a place worth stopping by!
September 2021 Blake Byler Ortman Five starsI have purchased two Hybrid Trek bikes from the Hub and both times was happy with the excellent, knowledgeable, friendly staff. The first Hybrid I purchased was Trek 7.3FX. When, after about 3 years of riding, (about 15,000 miles) that bike had a broken frame, I took it back to the Hub. They said the frame was under warranty and quickly replaced it. I have ridden that second bike 46,500 miles in 8 1/2 years, replacing many chains, cables, cassettes and, of course, tires. I have been very satisfied with that bike. But, with many parts wearing out (loose bottom bracket, torn saddle, headset needing overhaul, shifters badly worn needing to be replaced, both rims loose and one axle broken along with a few other issues) I decided to get a new bike. So, I went back to the Hub and purchased a very similar bike- Hybrid Trek FX 2. I have had that bike for a month, am enjoying it and have good reason to hope that this bike will ride as well as the last one.The world needs more great bike shops like the Hub.
Customer service is exceptional with an extremely knowledgeable team ready to help you get back on the road!!! I came in after I realized I needed to retire my 20 yr old Schwinn cruiser....Jim and Brian listened to what I was wanting now and to achieve later. I have to say...I have the PERFECT Trek Checkpoint SL7 and even purchased the Saris H3 for when it’s a bit too cold to be outside and to keep up with my fitness after knee surgery. My bike was fitted for ME too which is a bonus to purchasing from a dealer. Thank you Hub Bicycles!!!!
I brought my bike to The Hub expecting to drop off and pay for a tune-up because I couldnt get air into my tires. Instead, it was an easy issue the staff figured out before pumping my tires for me at no charge! They even offered to get me some replacement air valve caps.Ill definitely be back for my next bike purchase.
Ive purchased a couple of bikes here for my granddaughter over the past few years. I come back because of the quality of their bikes and the service they provide. I have traded in smaller Trek bikes on larger ones and have received a fair or more than fair trade in (I appreciate this service with a growing kid to fit). If we need an adjustment or repair, they have always been professional and courteous. Our granddaughter absolutely loves her bicycles and well be back again when its time for the next size.
Went to buy my wife a bike . Was asked after being fully vaccinated to put on a mask because some employees weren’t. I did my part they should do theirs. I left and will bought my wife’s new bike elsewhere. State and country is open , get a grip. Glad they lost the $1200 sale. Good luck on lockdown California is doing so well haha.
Just picked up my first mountain bike, Marlin 5. Jim was incredibly helpful and informative for someone like me who doesn’t know much about biking. I couldn’t believe how helpful he was and made the whole experience very smooth. I’m so excited to try it out and I’m glad I went with The Hub for this purchase. Thank you so much guys, we will be back!!
Back in October my parents ordered my niece a bike from a bike shop near them in northern VA. The bike was scheduled to come in 12/14, which it did, then the manager sold the bike and put a new order in. Due to parts not being able to come in per Trek, the bike would not be in until about May. My mom was very upset and I told her I would see if there were any near me. I live in Charleston, SC, I started searching and learned quickly that this particular bike was sold out throughout most of the east coast EXCEPT The Hub in Athens GA. I explained the whole situation to them and they were absolutely awesome! Joseph and Brian let me pay over the phone and since I was traveling and still had to volunteer the morning I was going down there, they even offered to stay a little later if needed. I was able to get there by 2:30 so that was not necessary but I pulled up and the bike was ready to go. I also want to point out how great all of their staff is about COVID precautions. My parents are high risk so I get tested before seeing them and then I am very careful until I get to them. I was nervous with going to another state and not knowing their mandates but they were safe and the whole experience was worth the nearly 5 hour drive there. They helped to make my niece a very happy girl on Christmas morning! I would definitely give them business moving forward no matter the distance.
Recently had some repair work done from Joseph at The Hub. He went above and beyond to make sure the job was done correctly after I experienced some issues with the initial brake bleed.Having worked at a bike shop myself for a number of years throughout college, Joseph was as helpful as anyone Ive encountered in the industry. Id go so far as to say he should teach customer service classes to other employees. Keep it up!
It’s a shame I have to give this place one star! I would be happy to give a minus 5!!!!I gave my son my 2001 or 2002 Trek, that I paid $900.00 for when it was brand new! The Bike had less than 100 miles on it! I had a device put on it to read out my speed, the temperature, the date, time, etc!!! It was in, “top notch shape, no rust, no dents, etc”!They gave him $150.00 for the bike and sold him a 1970’s Schwinn for $175.00, plus my son bought some accessories! John said he sold my bike for $150.00, ha! You’re telling me that you didn’t make a dime off that bike! What a pile of bologna! My son went back up there a while later and pointed out that the bike they sold him was broken! The frame was broken. He had not ridden the bike at this point of finding the break. What did they do for my son????Absolutely nothing!!!! They had no concern whatsoever that the bike was broken!!!I went there yesterday and spoke to John, and yes, I was angry. All he seemed concerned about was that I needed to calm down! No John, sorry Mister, you need to provide better customer service and NOT take advantage of these young college students that come into your business!Yes, you told me to send my son back to you and I said you need to make this right!I shouldn’t have even had to come to your establishment with this type problem! You should have been honest from the beginning!Buyers Beware!!!!!
I spoke with Brian over the phone in regards to a bike I saw they had available online. I asked if the bike was still available. He assured me it was and he would place it on hold for me. I asked if he was sure since I had to drive 1.5hrs to the location to pick it up. He said “Yes, I’ll hold it”. He asked me what time I would arrive and I confirmed I would be there at 3:30p. I arrived at the location at 3:25p, only to be told it had been sold to someone else! It wasn’t until I got there that I was told it was already on hold for someone when I called in. It is not my fault that an employee at YOUR store told me it was available for purchase! I was truly upset and annoyed by the fact I had driven all this way. The gentleman that assisted me when I got there (didn’t get his name) was pleasant. He tried to sell me another bike that was $200 more than the bike I came there for. No thank you!! A piece of advice....make sure your entire staff is on the same page as far as availability goes so your customers are not inconvenienced by your mistakes!
Loved that the person helping us actually took time to help my daughter with selecting her bike and also showing her how to use handle breaks and shifting gears. She moved up to a big girl bike. He was also patient with me in showing how to take off and put back on the front tire. Connecting brake line was a frustrating experience for me but person helping never lost their cool. I think we spent at least ten minutes on this. Thanks so much. Will definately be back.
The staff are extremely helpful and friendly, and theyre clearly very knowledgeable, passionate about biking, and care a lot about the customer.Took in an old beat up bike, and they did a pretty thorough inspection at no cost. It turned out to be about as expensive as the bike itself was worth, and the bikes they sold were a bit out of my price range, so they gave me a recommendation for a good used bike shop. Essentially gave gave me really good advice for free -- cant ask for better customer service than that.
The employees of The Hub pride themselves in providing quality service and educating customers so they can better care for their bike(s.) Turn around on service very well may be the fastest in the area without skimping on safety, top notch service and of course product. Their shop is welcoming, comfortable and always has a no pressure atmosphere.
I was looking for a bike for my husbands birthday. I am in south Georgia and had heard wonderful things about The Hub. I called, and Brian told me he would look for the bike I was asking about. A day later he called to let me know he found one. He made the process super easy. I am very grateful for The Hub and their commitment to the sport and their customers! Thanks guys!
This is a top notch shop. I really appreciate the individualized and detailed attention you get when you walk into The Hub. Ive never had a bad experience here. All of the employees have a passion for knowledge about bikes and for getting people on great bikes. Would absolutely recommend 100%
I like how the hub has strong products that are made to withstand a beating and last, as well as their great costumer service. I’m 6’7” and 300 lbs, and my mountain bike holds up great. The hub has bikes for everyone and if you want a specific bike or item they can order it. My bike was ordered due to size and it was ready in no time!!! Great family and kid safe place.
Great selection of products in stock with the ability to order just about everything and get it in quickly. The staff is knowledgeable and super responsive to questions. Always willing to help out with custom builds and offer solutions and suggestions. Prices are very reasonable for a brick and mortar store, with all of the benefits of being able to get help with warranty issues, fitment and the personal touch offered by dealing with people face to face.
I grew up in Watkinsville and was visiting from Alaska in late November. Every time I visit, I try and find a rental bike with no success. This time, I was thrilled to see that the Hub has both road and mountain bikes available! Very friendly, great service, quality product, and Ill definitely rent here again next time Im in town. My Trek mountain bike was perfectly tuned and suspension customized for a fun ride at Heritage Park.
I was in need of purchasing a new mountain bike after loosing my old Trek to the interstate (thats another story). Being relatively new to the biking scene, I knew very little on bikes and what I should be looking for in a new one, especially since I was riding more. I ventured to The Hub first since they are the only Trek dealer in town. One of the sales persons helped me out in exploring all of their options for mountain bikes. I had so many questions regarding the various types of mountain bikes. I knew I was taking up a lot of the guys time, but he was very patient with me and answered every question I had with a solid and very knowledgeable response. Needless to say, I learned a lot from my visit there. I took this information and shopped around at other shops in town and asked the same questions. I ultimately decided to go back to The Hub to make my purchase simply because the staff was so nice, knowledgeable and patient with me throughout my shopping experience. I love my new bike! Thanks Hub Bicycles for the sweet new ride!
The Hub has taken great care of me and my bike over the past year or so since Ive moved to Athens. Great service and friendly and knowledgeable staff. I would recommend them to any mountain biker (Im sure theyre great for road too, but Ive got no experience there), and Ill definitely be purchasing my next bike from them.
Everyone I talked to at The Hub was awesome! They made bike buying easy and didn’t make me feel uncomfortable buying my first “grown up” bike at all. Once my bike came in, they made sure it was adjusted to fit me and that I knew how to get it in my car. They even helped me adjust my helmet to fit properly! 10/10 recommend The Hub
I just walked in with my bike that I wanted to get put together. There was a kind man at the counter that asked what I might need. I told him what I’m here and he gave me a estimate that was kind of expensive for what I know could take 30 mins because I just took some parts off myself. When I asked how it would cost that much he totally wrote me off and moved on in the rudest way possible. I understand how they could be a nice business but I had a bad customer service experience.
I called 3 Trek bike dealers before The Hub. I received more information about the bikes I was interested in from The Hub than the other 3 combined. Friendly, informative, and professional--that is why I drove 3 hours to buy from The Hub. Totally worth the drive! This is a great company.
I have worked with many shops over the years and have never experienced the service I receive from The Hub. There are many shops closer to my home, but the drive is absolutely worth the professional, personal, knowledgeable and friendly service I receive. I have found a new home for all of my mountain biking needs.
Brian and Jim are always helpful with product recommendations for any style of riding. Repair prices are great, done right the first time and in a timely manner. They really promote a community of riders with their group rides held everyday of the week. Best bike shop in Athens!
They made the process of getting both of my kids mountain bikes as smooth as possible. They showed the kids how to change gears and how to adjust their helmets. I can’t say enough nice things about this bike shop and this is definitely the one that I would recommend in Athens!!
A veteran cyclist of 40+ years, who often built and modified my own equipment, I visited this shop because it looked like a place to get specific parts and professional help if needed. The proprietor met me at the door, asked where the bike was, for which I wanted a part .... and harshly informed me that I should not buy parts so far from my home, and made it absolutely clear that he had no intention of even talking about the specific part I wanted. Snobby old coot.
First visit. Went based on reviews. Brought my bike in to be checked and adjusted, and the tall older guy was rude because I didn’t buy my bike there, (their cheapest cost $500 more than mine), and was rude when I was picking a helmet. To make it worse, my bike wasn’t adjusted and checked fully like I asked, so I ended up taking it to a different shop the next day to get it done. First impression=very rude attitude form this employee, terrible at bike check/adjustment and there’s no way I’ll go back.
I am a total newbie when it comes to bicycling, and was honestly slightly intimidated to go inside HUB. I see the folks who walk in and out of that place, and they are legit. What a pleasant surprise it was today to find amazing customer service from the guys at HUB, especially considering how new I am to the sport. They made me feel right at home, were not condescending in any way, and graciously walked me through the whole process. They were tremendously knowledgeable and helpfulI recommend any bicycler of any age and/or experience to visit HUB for 5🌟 Service. And Im a local, so Im picky!
The 2 times Ive come in have been for maintenance on my bike and both times Ive come out somewhat disappointed. I was charged $20 for a safety check on my bike which took less than 5 minutes, and then was told they could tune my brakes for another $20. At this point I decided to tune my own brakes as I wasnt going to fork out another $20 dollars for something that would just take a few minutes. This may be a good place for those with $1000 bikes, but not for a college student like myself.
Great bike shop, by far the best in Athens. The mechanics really know what they are doing! Good pricing on top end bikes and equipment, really could not ask for more from a bike shop. If you have to drop your bike off for a quick fix Jittery Joes is right next door too!
Classic Stinkeye treatment I walked into this Trek shop Thursday afternoon right after visiting my brother in the Pruitt home on Winston Avenue. I have been driving all the way from Charlotte to visit my brother since he was installed in Pruitt. While in Athens, I usually stop for a cup of coffee next door at Jittery Joes. Since I have had several trek bikes in the past, I thought I would stop by to visit the store. I introduced myself to the manager who told me After I get done with this project, I will tend to you in a minute. This guy somehow was offended by me. Each time I showed interest in something, he would seriously invade my personal space. I would find a way to disengage from this manager and walk away only to be re-invaded again and again. During one of his invasions I had asked if he had a bike kick stand for my Fisher trek bike. The guy at the back counter handed me a silver one which did not match my bike. I told them my bike was black and orange and tried to hand it back to the manager who REFUSED to take it in hand, so I put it on the cashiers counter two feet away from the security strap I was buying. When I showed up to buy the strap, the bike stand was lying on top of the purchase item I intended to buy.Brian, I would like to you know I hold a college degree, a Masters degree, and am a member of Gideons international. I could have bought every single bike in that place and sent the manager on vacation for a month If I were so inclined. Your manager gave me the strong impression he did not want me there.
The Hub has a fancy new location, across the street from their previous hole in the ground. The previous location was small and cozy, and you didnt end up there by accident, because you had to find it first. The new location has a lot of exposure in busy Five Points, and shares parking with one of Athens most popular coffee shops. So parking is a chore. However, once inside you will find a clean, well organized store with friendly, helpful employees that really know what they are talking about.Their service shop is top notch, and pricing is competitive.Athens is blessed with some really good bike shops, and The Hub is no exception.I would recommend this shop for a bike purchase, as well as service & repair.
I visited the store a few times before making my final decision and a few representatives as well. Joseph helped me decide between a few bikes. I ended up deciding on a different type than I was looking at in the start, which he gladly helped me find the right size as well as gave me information on bikes in general; we had some tangent discussions regarding efficiency of bikes which I was able to relate to because of my physics class. Joseph had a lot of knowledge on bikes and was able to elaborate on a topic if I had any questions. Down to earth and able to help with any needs or questions.
I traveled to the Netherlands on vacation in the Summer, and I was astounded at the number of people riding bicycles everywhere and all the time. In fact, the Dutch are super healthy in large part because they love their bicycles. So during my two weeks there I did the same, and I enjoyed it immensely. When I came home, I wanted very much to find a proper bicycle for me to ride both recreationally and occasionally around downtown Athens, Georgia. After speaking with a few friends, The Hub Bicycles was clearly the place to explore this want and benefit from expertise in selecting just the right bicycle for me. I met with Brian and worked with Jim to purchase and accessorize a Trek FX3 Disc turning it into a bicycle my friends in the Netherlands think is absolutely perfect. It rides very well, has everything I need, and looks fantastic. I spent a little more than I anticipated, but I got exactly what I wanted. Plus, I’ve signed up for their member discount program, and they provide full service for what they sell. So I’m super happy and my finished bicycle is perfect! I’d highly recommend Brian and Jim at The Hub Bicycles. They’re great to work with, patient with a novice, and they support the bicycling in the greater Athens, Georgia area. ~ Brian Freese
This place is awesome. It has everything youre looking for, not to mention it had the best prices compared to the other shops I had stopped by. Brian also knew exactly what he was talking about and helped me find the right bike. If youre in Athens and need a bike or even a part for a repair, this is the place to go!
This is the GO TO place! Weather you need assistance trying to get a new bike or if you need a tune up for your bike these guys at the hub definitely have answers and assistance you need. Ill be buying my bike from them soon. Fantastic customer service and well equipped store
They had what I needed -- a tube. I felt compelled to leave the mediocre review however because the customer service. The first guy who helped me seemed new and not overly familiar about the two valve types, not really a big deal in my mind -- so that alone would get us down to four stars maybe or maybe get no penalty for hiring a new guy. But then this first guy was -- rather abruptly and even rudely --interrupted and bossed around by a tall, overbearing salesman who was interested in answering my question about different ideas about puncture resistance tires. He was a little too close for comfort. I didnt feel comfortable with the customer service so three stars. I tend to like the independent bike shops like Bens Bikes anyway and will probably take my business back their way in the future. They are laid back, knowledgable, dedicated, and less flashy.
**Edit 3/13**Hub bikes is definitely one of Athens finest bike shops. Every time I come in, Im greeted with a smile and they are always willing to help me with any questions I have with my bike that isnt even a brand that they sell. (cant bear to part with my old Stumpjumper.)Today, I needed a steering stem to finish my new build and they had lots of different ones to choose from in stock. As soon as I walked in I was greeted and shown the area where they were kept. The sales associate also helped me sort through them all to find exactly the size I was looking for. Prices are very reasonable considering the location. Definitely check these guys out, you wont be disappointed.Show up on a Tuesday evening and go ride offroad with them, youll have a great time.
I live in Illinois...couldnt find the bike I wanted called the hub....they had it ...took it apart and shipped it to a local shop near me ....awesome to work with....took amazing care in wrapping it to ship it.....perfect communication and great people to talk to....very thankful for there help
Nice selection of bikes to choose from and customer service was “11” out of 10 as Joseph answered all of my questions and reserved the exact bike I was looking for ( last one in stock ) and Jim even waited a few minutes after normal closing time to allow me to get there and pick up the bike as I was coming from out of town.
Visited Athens for an NCAA championship and had some time to kill. Rented a nice road bike from the Hub. Jim was very helpful in setting up the bike and orienting me to the local roads. I must say Athens is or should be a destination resort for road riding. The roads are beautiful, the cars are genuinely accommodating to bikes and the countryside is gorgeous. Thanks to Jim and the great folks at The Hub I had a great head start.
Im sure this place is great and has mostly great people, but my experience with a younger gentleman at the front desk ruined the Hub for me. I was new to biking and was buying some essentials and felt like I was:1. Oversold a bike pump ( I think he said I should get the most expensive one they have) that didnt end up having the right PSI for me.2. When I had a question about my rear derailleur, the clerk told me to throw it away and buy a new one. I went home disappointed and spent hours trying to fix the problem myself, which turned out to be a very easy fix I and my bike worked fine again. Why wouldnt he help me out?....please be more down to earth.
Retired hadn’t rode a bicycle in ten years and decided I needed to get into an exercise routine. Needed something I’d enjoy doing. What’s different today is now there are indoor trainers (machines) that allow cycling indoors. So now I can’t find an excuse not to exercise on rainy or snowy days. The Hub had everything I needed.

2022-03-28It takes a lot to inspire me to write a review for anybody.I had only been to Athens once before. I drove in (from a couple of hours away) with a loose plan in mind to find some fun for the day, but I hadn’t made reservations.I didn’t expect to be treated like family by the bike shop guy. He got the kind of bike I needed ready. He made sure I was safe with a helmet. He tutored me and made me practice before leaving. Then, he made sure I had a map and some water. In the middle of the day, he checked up on me when I was passing by and told me how to get to even more cool places so I didn’t miss a thing. It was one of the best adventure days I’ve had.I would recommend this place to anybody anytime.

2022-05-22Sarah G. was a great guide throughout the process. I think nearly everyone in the shop helped with some part of the process - which I really appreciate. However, Sarah was both knowledgeable in the shop and open-minded to asking questions about my experience to connect that knowledge in a useful way. The shop had a great variety of items to get things started. One thing I might recommend is including some resources on getting started in your biking journey in the brown book. Ive found videos from GNC really helpful in how to navigate road biking for the first time - and I think it would close that gap a little (just a suggestion, not a gripe!) Thank you so much!

2022-07-28Love the clean energy bar choices! As a doula, it’s important for me to keep my energy up when physically supporting laboring moms and to stay awake indefinitely until the baby is born. I was delightfully surprised when I stopped for coffee at Jittery Joe’s next door and popped in to find such a vast selection of power snacks and many of which are clean ingredients even energy snacks free of caffeine. The staff are also extremely knowledgeable and very professional! Will be back!

2022-08-02I bought a bike years ago in college and had excellent service, so when I went to buy my 8 year-old sons first real mountain bike, there was no doubt where Id purchase, even though we live a couple hours away now. Sarah did not disappoint! EXCELLENT service and extremely knowledgable! She didnt try to sell me on anything and, instead, took the time to recommend the perfect bike for him. Picking it up next week and hes going to be so excited. Highly recommend this place!! The people make the place.

2022-05-17The staff is great! They are welcoming, friendly, and informative without putting any pressure on you to make a purchase. I came in a few times before finally making a purchase and they helped me pick the perfect bikes out for myself and my daughter based on our needs. Highly recommended!

2022-06-22Highly recommend this place. Super friendly and welcoming people. The shop has everything you need for your bike. I rode out to Jefferson City from the shop along a route they posted. A great ride into the Georgia countryside from Athens.

2022-06-13Excellent products and services. Great attention to detail on fittings for shoes, helmets and bike fit. Felt instant improvement on bike fit adjustments in the shop that carried over into a 50 mile ride a couple days later. Highly recommend!

2022-07-06In my case, I was looking for routine hour based service of front/rear suspension, BB and stem overhaul and some brake work. My bike was still operational so their system of scheduling an appointment, allowing me to drop off the bike on its schedule service date and then picking it up later on the same date minimized any down time. Plus, the service itself is top notch.

2022-04-29My first visit was GREAT! Sarah and the staff were very helpful and had my scooter repaired the same day. I really appreciate how well run the business is. I will certainly recommend The HUB to anyone needing a bicycle or service. Dr. Jim Powell, Athens
