We ordered the: veggie corn dogs (the mustard was so good), smash burger, midway pub burger with fries, patty melt, hot and honey wings, green chicken chili, and Lady’s Choice drink. Also a shot of tequila! The food was very delicious, hot , and fresh. The outside seating was a great bonus. The staff was friendly and moving orders quickly. The menu was limited and the burgers didn’t come with fries, so that was a downer. But overall we had a great time and would love to come back!
Ive gone to this spot for years. I love it. They rocked it through covid and kept the vibe alive! I go here after work and their patio is the best to chill have privacy or an entire party. I can sit on any of their outdoor tables and areas and truly have funin their inside seating and the bar is great too! I am giving it 4 stars only because a homeless man who definitely seemed like he suffers from mental illness was sitting near us a few months ago at a table with no food and was intimidating us. He got up and spit on me. I try to have good energy but he def felt my apprehension as I heard him cussing to himself. I hope he finds peace and I hope the pub finds a way to protect its customers or at the very least pay attention to who is sitting outside near customers, children, cute pups, & the like such as on that sunny day which they were def not busy.Idk maybe have someone go outside every now and then and check on tables and see how they are doing even though we order inside ✌️
Sitting on the patio on a nice day is wonderful. The Bloody Marys were fine—came with a good amount of toppings. The chicken and waffles would’ve been more accurately described as chicken and half of a waffle. For $8, I should’ve known it wasn’t going to be a full waffle, but I was still disappointed. It was very tasty though! The breakfast burrito was fine, nothing special. The service was great! Overall, a good experience.
Music was good service was meh. The spot wasn’t busy but you’re waiting as if they are. I ordered a casamigos straight, I’m certain it was something else. I literally just drank some before entering so I know the taste. All in all if you’re bored and not looking for anything spectacular, it’s the place to go.
This is hard for me to write as Midway Pub used to be my favorite place in Atlanta. Pre-pandemic I spent literally every Saturday there. The food has unfortunately gone way down hill. I used to dream about their Buffalo chicken sandwich, and now it borders on inedible. But, the service is the worst part. I understood in 2020, and even 2021, and mayybbbeeee even the first half of 2022 that they were doing counter service/basically serve yourself with the world’s most annoying and unintelligible overhead speaker system, however we are now looking down the barrel of 2023. It is beyond past time to get back to normal service/have waiters attend to tables, or at the very least hire food and drink runners.I am genuinely rooting for this place to get back to the way it was, but until that happens, my friends and I no longer enjoy being there.
Midway has a great patio to hang out for a few beers with friends. Food has always been mediocre at best but since covid they have completely given up and it is now truly awful. On Tuesday everyone I was with commented about how bad the food was. Hands down the worst food I have ever eaten in a restaurant.
Great for drinks. Getting your hopes up that your main dish will be an appropriate size will be a blow to your hunger, so keep in mind you’re really spending $20 for the side. I don’t understand how anyone is happy with ordering a 4oz burger (or even the two tiny fish filets for their fish and chips my lunch mate had) for $20 with a drink. But you might be happier after having their large beer selection.
Google said this location closes at midnight with the kitchen closing at 10pm today Sunday, I came here to eat at 9:20, when I proceeded to make an order I was told the kitchen closed at 9pm. Its 9:30 right now and the information given should really match with the restaurant hours. Im very disappointed
Menu is limited. -1 starTables are stickyy -1 starFood is normally pretty good.I feel having the garage doors open whenever possible would be a huge +1 for this location.Broaden the menu a tiny bit and decrease the tables.Ive been coming to this spot for about 5 years now. This isnt the input of some urban dweller stopping in from his posh apartment. This is needed.
We’ve lived in the village for 5 years and this has always been our favorite spot in EAV. Awesome patio, great food and a really good selection of beer and alcohol. The entire staff is the best. If you live in East Atlanta and you’re not coming here, you’re doing it wrong.
Bloody Marys and the bartender were ok, but the chicken tenders were burnt and just awful. The fries would have been great had they not been cold. I was on the patio, but no one ever came to the table, so I had to go to the bar to get service. There are too many other great places in EAV to eat at that there is no need for me to ever return.
I gave this 4 stars because you are able to sit as a group outdoors and their DJ played some really classic RnB jams while we were dining. They were able to host a group of 11 vaccinated teachers with room for several other tables. So ordering took some getting used to. The inside is completely blocked. You order at one window (side door) from a menu display board and collect your order off a table at the main entrance. They dont bus your orders to the table. Then your name is called and you collect it. My only concern is the lack of supervision on your food and drinks of you go back to your table. My orders (drinks and food) was left pretty much unattended for me to collect. If they improve this system then that would be safest. It is a dog friendly restaurant which is a plus for pet owners. The food was okay I ordered the fish and chips. The fries were crispy and well done the fish tho crispy wasnt very seasoned. But I didnt eat anything else so I cant rate the food as thoroughly.
I love the patio dining, but everything else was ehhhhh. You have to stand in this very long line (at least it was super long the day I was there) just to order food and drinks. There are no servers which means that you have to go up and stand in the line anytime you want another order of food or drinks. Also, my food was terrible. I ordered the chicken tenders, and I received what looked like two tenders on heavy steroids. They were huge and very undercooked. I just ate the fries and drank my watered down margarita. I definitely won’t be coming back here anytime soon!
The patio is great and staff is friendly, the new set up helps the pain ful wait that use to exist here nonexistent. But now their burgers are the most flavorless things Ive ever had the displeasure of paying for and eating. I left half of it because I couldnt finish it. The fries were great!
GOOD FOOD AWFUL CUSTOMER SERVICEFood: 4.0 StarsHot wings were really good. Not the best in ATL but def hold their own.Veggie Corn dogs had some of the best breading on a corndog Ive ever had.Philly Cheesesteak was tip- top- magoo!!Service: 0 StarsRude(male) cashier who yelled at people to put masks on customers. This kind of treatment left a bad taste in my mouth. After digging my facial covering out of my pocket I noticed two kitchen staff not wearing masks and I glanced over at the bar and noticed no one wearing a mask while at the bar.THIS IS FASCISTPS. Communal water jug really contradicts logic during PANDEMIC.
I really like going to this pub for games. It’s in a good location (EAV), and it’s not in the actual busy part of EAV so it’s does t have too much street noise. The food here is great and there are lots of drink choices. They provide a lot of TVs so you’ll have a place to watch and game. Totally recommend. Come here if you haven’t.
Midway has a rather nice outdoor seating area with barrier of plants and shrubs providing a blocking the street traffic. The ordering is a little confusing, there is no indoor dining but the outdoor seating is plentiful. There is line for ordering and on the other side of a barrier, a table with some essentials where they leave your order. It is dog friendly and service was cheerful.Aa far as the food, decent quality but not a large selection, and one of just a few places where you can get a cobb salad.
Great atmosphere, really good pub fare. Great place for a couple or a group. Or dining alone, for that matter. They serve brunch on Saturdays & Sundays 11-2; thats when I went. Great selection of brunch cocktails. Try the Spicy Bloody Mary! Oh, and a WIDE selection of beers (over 100, 30+ on tap) and a huge selection of whiskies. Dine outside if you can!
Might as well open up the indoors again. Not sure why outdoor patio is only available when every other restaurant around is open inside. Seems like the owner just doesnt want to pay servers, but thats just my view. Im sure theyd receive a lot more business if open and able to view TVs for sports and whatnot. Why not put TVs outside if they are inside not being used? Seems like a bit of an oversight for me and not capitalizing on customers interest in going to a bar.
Fun place to come to! Great selection of beers and drinks. Food was amazing and every plate that went by the table made you want to order more! Came for an Atlanta United game and they had them on many TVs there wasn’t a bad view in the house! Awesome patio that is dog friendly and somewhat shady. Great atmosphere that I look forward to coming back to!
This place was really good. The outdoor patio area is huge and welcoming. The menu selection is phenomenal. I tried boiled peanuts for the first time here, and with Old Bay, they are now a favorite. The fish and chips was delightful also! Would certainly go back, would like to try brunch here sometime!
If you’re looking for terrible service and subpar food in EAV, this place is for you! However, if that isn’t your jam, check out Wing Bar down the road for great wings and friendly service. If you’re wanting a larger selection, Argosy is just a few steps farther down with amazing service, wings, a killer burger, and an extensive beer/bar selection.
This place was terrible. My waiter looked miserable and couldnt be bothered to do his job. My friends said the waiters are always like that. They made my drink wrong (it was gross) and when I told the waiter that its not right, I had to argue with him to take it off my tab. Then I ordered the veggie corn dogs and tots. The tots tasted like typical bar food (which I was cool with), but the corn dogs werent cooked all the way; the middle was still a liquid batter. It ended up giving me horrible stomach pains for 2 days. I honestly dont understand why people come here. If you do decide to go (because their patio is nice), dont expect good or friendly service, stick to drinks that come in bottles or cans, and whatever you do, dont eat the food!!!
It was fair. I ordered the lemon pepper wings. The wings didnt have much flavor and were dry.The restaurant was busy. There was no table service, more like cafeteria style. You had to go in to order, afterwards your order was called over the speaker for you to pick up. After you finished your meal you would empty your tray
This place seemed rather devoid of personality or flare. The service is decent but it struck me as a corporate sports bar environment with little inventiveness.Being surrounded by many delicious and niche places makes this contrast apparent. If you’re looking for a tv to watch while you drink and eat, or a benign environment to forget about your troubles for a night this place can serve you well however.
Went there last night, ordered a house margarita.. it tasted like dirty sink water.. I made the bartender try it and he said it tasted normal. Needless to say I wont be returning for drinks. We didnt order food as we went out for dinner before hand but the food all smelled really good. Cool atmosphere as well.
This is my go to local restaurant/bar. They always have a great selection of beer on tap, and seasonal food options. There are always vegetarian options here, but its a mostly meat heavy selection. My favorite up to this point is either the vegan steak, or the pimento cheese fritters. The people who come here are typically locals as well, and very friendly. Sports playing on the TV, some arcade games, corn hole, and darts. Ive been served by almost every server there at this point and they all have personality when they serve you! Which to me makes the restaurant that much better! The service is great when its not crazy busy, but may take a little longer to get a check when its packed. I would highly recommend checking this restaurant out.
Service wasnt great but the atmosphere is. Perfect for catching a game. Their extra hot wings should come with a warning label. Quite possibly the spiciest thing Ive ever eaten. Make sure youre really wanting it before you order them. Id recommend asking for a sample of the sauce first. Its insane.
Midtown is a great place to watch a game and grab a delicious beer but the food is touch and go. Its sometimes great and other times its a let down. They also appear baby friendly but they do not have changing tables anywhere on site. We love to go with a group of friends, but its more challenging with a family.
Every time I come here I think, Olivia, its time to try something else. Youve had the buffalo fried chicken sandwich 10,000 times. They have other things here. And then I dont do it, because its literally the best. Best outdoor patio, best service, best beer selections, best vibe. EAV Midway forever.
Here are the things I love about the Midway: the food tastes great, there are several great vegetarian options, the wait staff is always helpful, the beer list is extensive, and the patio is dog friendly. The ONLY reason Im giving 2 stars instead of 5 is that their food prices have gotten out of control! $13 for a sandwich that doesnt even come with a side is unacceptable and I will no longer be eating there unless they lower their prices.
Love this place. Food is good, vibe is great, but service is always slow. Never enough staff to provide adequate service. But I still recommend going b/c it is a fun place with good food. Chicken fingers are amazing. Blackened grouper sandwich is delicious and totally enjoyed the green chicken chili. Update, the $8 burger is equivalent to a McDs, so save the money and get the chicken fingers. They have shrunk their portions on sides, so dont expect a lot of fries.
The food and atmosphere here is great. I love to come for brunch. The only reason I’m not giving 5 stars is because the service isn’t always amazing. It’s pretty laid back so you sometimes have to wait a little bit. I would still recommend going! Especially for brunch!
Great patio seating. Great beer selection and you can order a flight. I ordered the grouper sandwich which was served on Texas toast. That didnt sound appealing until I tasted it. The grouper was well seasoned--like I was in NOLA and the slaw was good. Come here for good food in Atlanta without all the put on of Atlanta.
This is me and my boyfriend’s go-to Friday night spot. Their food is delicious and their monthly “seasonal” menu is awesome because there are always new/different selections. The service is amazing and the prices are fair. The one time we ever had a bad experience there was because we had a new server who was training (granted, it was on Cinco de Mayo AND during the Kentucky Derby, so it was PACKED!) We were pleasantly surprised when the manager came up to us and apologized for the bad service, and even compensated half our bill without us even having to say anything. The employees and management here are very self-aware and it’s just overall a great, pleasant experience every time I come. If you haven’t been, I highly recommend you try it.
Great atmosphere, n drinks. This is my Second visit and its a pleasant environment. We order mild chicken wings n they wasnt good this time around(To greasy). We wont be ordering food ever again. I gave three stars cause that chicken was so greasy I couldve greased my legs n thighs for that fact. Tonight was over staff cause we had three different people to help us(that is a great thing).
Huge patio which perfect for hanging out with your friends and your dog on a nice day. The inside is perfect for football - lots of TVs showing different games and for big games they have the sound system hooked up to the game audio. Beer and drink list is extensive and legit. On the other hand, food menu could use a couple more items. Everything Ive eaten there has been really tasty but there are not a lot of choices. Overall - It is my go to in EAV.
You have to eat there great place.Ive never had a bad meal... Priced reasonably. Great service. The fish is Grouper and not The tilapia trash fish. The Shrimp and Barley is so delicious with the andouille sausage. Its a meal dont think its small. Has plenty of shrimp and sausage all the way to the last spoonful.
The food and drinks were good. I liked that guests could bring their dogs and that there was an outdoor patio with WiFi and plug in spots. The service wasnt great. The waitress seemed as if we were irritating her and had an attitude the whole time. Once her shift ended, we couldnt find another waiter to take our orders and our table was all but forgotten about.
Good place for cold beer in a hot glass. Dbl Burger add bacon was great, tots were cooked so much they were hollow shells (& tasted like the fish and chips). Fish and Chips were not so good. Very dark (time for an oil change) and bland, other than old frier oil taste. Tasted just like old fried grease.
Located in the East village of Atlanta off of Flat shoals road. The ambiance seems to be small village in an ueban sitting. When I 1st walked in this place, i noticed it was nice, clean. Lots of room inside and out, But the people stared 😥 at me from the time I walked in until I left as the song from the 1972 Deliverance movie played in my head.🤣 It felt weird. The bartender made and served the drinks well while the food was Bland and portions was average. I had Barbecue wings😒 The price was Satisfactory.
Im hesitant to give 5 stars ONLY because we love this place too much and we dont want anyone else to know about it. But whatever, here it is - 5 stars! We love Midway. Its our favorite patio in Atlanta. They have a seriously good vibe and a great beer menu. The only thing Ive eaten is the BBQ grit cake despite the fact that Ive been here at least 20 times. Its so good I cant order anything else. Im sure theres other great things, but the grit cake - outstanding!
Busy sunday brunch hour with usa world cup playing - very slow service, out of stock food and crispy fries that flexed when you picked them up.... daughter and son-in-law definitely have different expectations on service than i do cause they like this place. In a different vein, did like the fact that they were cool with owners accompanying pets on the outdoor patio.
This place has always frustrated me. They have great selections of beer, wine and all sorts of alcoholic beverages, the food is really good and always creative, the atmosphere is incredible and the ambience and layout and almost everything about being there is an incredible experience. But the service is the worst in Atlanta. You can end up waiting forever to get a drink or food. Servers will actually make eye contact with you and see you waving at them and sometimes even acknowledge you with a head nod, but then they still will sit there and talk and have conversations with other staff members or wait on somebody else who happens to step up in front of them before they finally get to you. It is literally consistently the worst service Ive ever experienced.
I put a lot of value in a great porch and this place has got it! A chill place for me (20s) to go with my friends and feel adult and for older adults to go to feel young... To watch elections I care too much about and sports games I dont care enough about... Share a long conversation under the trellis and over a bucket of fresh tots and some local beer. Everyone who works here is always memorably nice. Thanks for helping us last time Jess you made us laugh! I have heard nothing but good things from everyone about this place, go, you will not be disappointed.
Well this place is a great place to go and chill out after a long day of work with friends, family, boss or just to laugh the service is so friendly and when you look around there are a whole lot of things on the menu, walls to see and read. They have tables on the outside as well .they have taken out on their online websites. They do have to go Belvedere plenty of parking space every where .Great Place 👏👏👏👏👏
Kudos to the midway pub for a setup that keeps employees safer from the coronavirus by staying separate from the customers. You order and pick up your food behind a plastic panel so the staff dont have to walk around where customers have their mouths open. Everything is outside, lots of patio space and even patio space by the back parking lot so you can be away from other people. Also fries are delicious!
My bocce league had our end of season tournament today. The courts are fairly well maintained, the one on the right seem as little smoother. After our games we came inside for some food and drinks. We ordered veggie corn dogs, chicken wings, the Patty melt and a Ruben sandwich. The food came out fast and everything was tasy.
I have been coming to Midway pretty regularly for the past year and a half, and the quality of their food has always been great. However, the service has been progressively worse. There have been several occasions where i tried to call to place an order, but they did not answer their phone. I can understand this happening when they are very busy, but this is definitely not always the the case with Midway. The most irritating aspect of their service quality is that whenever I have said anything about an incorrect order I am met with very rude responses. I should note that I have only ever come to them with a complaint 2 or 3 times in the past 18 months, and I am always highly respectful. I work in the service industry, so I know how these types of situations should be handled. The last straw for me was today when I went back to the restaraunt, because upon checking at home, I realized that there was less chicken on my salad than I am used to getting. After I spoke with a server, a man I am assuming is the manager came out and basically told me off for making such an accusation. He acted incredibly defensive during the entire interaction, and even insinuated that I was just trying to get free food. I was barely able to get a word in edge-wise. I have never seen such rude and unprofessional behavior towards a customer in my life.
Atmosphere for sports is good but they fry ($8) their smoked wings ($10) which is kinda of opposite of smoked wings! & service is kinda of iffy when they are busy... Service was absolutely horrible throughout the game. If the server had informed us that she was busy with multiple tables & that is why your drink orders take 10-20mins that would have been 1 thing but to go about with no communication was the problem. Also when the checks where delivered to our table the server was upset over a $5 tip bc she didnt communicate.
Food was Really good! I had the Beef Corndogs with the mustard sauce, fish and chips, The Mrs. had veggie Corndogs & 3 HUMONGOUS & Delicious Pancakes!!Saw alotta people ordering the Breakfast Burrito and The Dirty Bird.... may try them next time!Very pleased with the food Quality, selection & service! Prices are good for the amount of food.*VERY minimal parking... Literally 4 spaces in front and 2 are handicap.*
The meat on the Juicy Lucy is made of really good red pepper flakes and the mix makes it pretty spicy but it’s great paired with a Red Delirium. They also give you a mayonnaise packet to use if you want it. They separate the lettuce, pickles and tomatoes in case you don’t like either option so that was nice! The buns are also a little crispy and add to create a great texture. Would recommend for five dollars, not ten unfortunately because it’s small (2oz meat)Came here during the Burger Week and it was the best option out of the two places we went to.
Great brunch! Great patio! We frequent this place alot. Great space to sit outside and enjoy drinks and food with friends. Staff is very accomodating with the food. Also love going here to watch the Atlanta United games. They close late, Midway is definitely a great and reliable place for a night cap on any late night out in East Atlanta. You can bring your dogs on the patio!
Sunday brunch is the best! Get the dirty bird, you wont regret it!! Great craft beer selection, great Bloody Mary and Mimosa specials if youre looking to do some Sunday Funday boozing. Would be 5 stars but the service is inconsistent. Regardless Im there every Sunday during football season. Oh yeah, it is the spot in EAV if youre looking to watch NFL, NCAA, or MLS
This place used to be my favorite spot to eat and sit on the patio in East Atlanta, but the past couple of years its really taken a nosedive. They still have a great beer selection and several reliable, inexpensive food items, but the personnel is just awful now. I think part of it is a lot of turnover - I havent even SEEN the same wait staff here across multiple visits (although admittedly those visits have become less and less frequent). Dont think this is a place that you can grab a quick meal in under an hour - you wont even see a server for 10 minutes after sitting, and youre lucky if theyre back by your table every 15. If youre not alone, theres absolutely no guarantee your food will come out at anywhere close to the same time as your companions, and dont ever think its okay to tell the server youre fine if youre going to need anything else (including the check).Dont ever order the smoked wings if you actually care whether or not theyre smoked, btw. They used to be a Sunday-only item and were good when they didnt run out, but I havent actually gotten smoked wings here (despite ordering them several times) in years. Also, a word about the tiki bar. You cant order food if you sit in the tiki bar, and you cant order drinks if youre sitting at a table on the patio/inside. So why is it here? Its a cool addition to the place, but it doesnt affect my rating of the bar at all because it doesnt even feel like the same business.
I will forever go out of my way to come to Midway. Solid list of beers, solid service (even on the busiest nights), and their food is really unique and fantastic. I havent had anything here that I just didnt like. Never had any issues with service or not getting everything that I needed. Their falafel sandwich is my favorite right now-- but make sure you get extra tzatziki sauce! Its housemade and once you try it, you wont be able to get enough of it!
I was referred to the pub by a friend of Jonathan the owner, so I brought my lady with me to check it out we sat in a booth and waited a few till we had our drinks, no biggie. There was stand up comedy going on outside so the focus was outside, we were watching TV on one of the many they had but most were off. Two tables asked Jason the manager at the time to please turn the TV back on my lady happened to be one of the people who made a request, Jason must be having a bad night because from the moment he replied he was angry and confrontational, he said he would turn it back on but didnt want to. He left with the control in his hand a while later while still waiting for our food he approach us and was yelling at us stating if you dont like it then you can leave so we stood up and attempted to leave, right by the door he was yelling at us again when I tried to speak with him he started yelling at my lady so we left right away he was loud and very embarrassing to us in front of many staff and customers. To be honest with ya I do understand the industry and how crazy it can be but cant make any reason or excuse why he was so rude. Im very glad there was no violence but he should be careful who may approach in that manner. 9/29/2018 11:15pm check the cameras. Ill make sure to never visit again! I built the townhomes behind the pub. Bryan Valle
2014 This is the first time i had something very bad, wings tasted rotten and under cooked. I really hope they fix it asap this was my favorite place ill give them another shot in a month10 July 2015Fried fish and chips were over cooked to the point where fish completely separated from the batter when we placed our forks in it. And the soup taste like old Bay and water. On the brighter note they still have a good beer selection
Bartender and management were incredibly insulting, rude and discriminatory. We came with a very diverse group of people... The bartender and management made it clear we were not wanted and we did not fit in at their bar based on what we looked like (without going into too much detail) We will never go back and Im leaving my first review so we can fight this gross discrimination together! Flat Iron and Argosy are bars right around the corner. We had a wonderful time there, if youre looking for another suggestion. Dont support midway pub. They dont deserve your money.
Came here on Georgia vs Kentucky game day. Our food was ok. We ordered smoked wings and got fried. Our server barely stopped to check on us. We were always out of water and she never stopped to see if we needed another round without us flagging her down. Yes she had alot of tables, but we arent a demanding group. As long as you stop by to check on us we are good to go. The server got pissed because she didnt get tipped on one bill like she thought she should and confronted the table. I have been a server and can never imagine saying what she said to the table. Three out of four bills tipped 15% and one tipped 10% and that is who she questioned. It was appalling. So after a couple of hours being gone our waitress started stalking the guy who tipped her 10% on Facebook. I cant believe a restaurant would allow this to happen. Welcome to the service industry not everyone is going to like you deal with it.
Awesome patio. Great atmosphere. Service is always subpar though. Go here to hang out and leisurely have some drinks and food. Do not go here for a quick bite. Nothing is quick about this place. As long as you know what youre getting and align your expectations you will love this place. It is a very fun spot.
This is my new hangout spot in Atlanta! Granted the service can be iffy, but the atmosphere makes up for that (for now).PROS: Extensive beer list. So much so that at one point I had to sit it down because my self diagnosed undiagnosed ADD was about to send me over the edge.Pet friendly patio. For some this may be a con, but I kinda like the idea of my fur baby chilling with me while I have a beer in hand.Several vegetarian & pescetarian options available.Grass-fed beef. My friends husband commented on how fresh & clean his burger tasted.Use of local market ingredients.Cheap eats & drinks without forsaking portion size or quality. You cant beat a potent rum & coke for $5, and their smoked trout & jalapeno dip is the best thing ever.Fabulous patio & quirky decor.Cool electronic jukebox, board games, & other free entertainment available.Plenty of parking.CONS: Service was a little too laid back our first visit, and the food takes for ever to be brought out. At one point I had to get up & inquire when our food would be arriving. The second time our service was a little better so I am hoping the first time was just a fluke. However, service aside I love this place.
Midway is a good neighborhood spot, where one can feel comfortable all by themselves if the case may be. Good food, large selection of draft and bottled beers, great selection of whiskey, and as I realized last night...tequila and mezcal.Midway is also a great place to come during or after United games, Braves games, and boxing matches. They have big TVs inside and out including in their Tiki grove. The Tiki grove on most Friday and Saturday nights is slinging the sugary rum cocktails of Polynesian/island flair in decorative ceramic mugs. But while the ingredients used are quality and the presentation is on point, the drinks themselves are not necessarily true to the flavor profile of the classics.Still taste good, still get the job done, still a good atmosphere so I still go and enjoy. So whether youre alone or in a group, if you want to watch the event or relax, drink whiskey, beer, tequila, mezcal, or escape to another world theyve got it all.
The server a female brown hair earring in her lip was the rudest server EVER!!! My 10 year old tapped her and said excuse me mam to get her attention because we wanted our check. The server returned and told my child its rude for her to tap her arm and say excuse me! Mind you its very loud in this place today and my child said excuse me SEVERAL TIMES!! The name on the receipt is Bruno Diaz not sure if thats the correct name! This was my first and LAST time here! Usually we tip well but no tip was left! Horrible person you are Lady!!!!!! This lady does not have a great attitude and if it was not a busy day I would have asked for the Manager!!!
Im a bit of a dissenting opinion on this place. It is very popular and usually quite crowded so lots of folks obviously like it. I tend to be put off by how many folks are crammed in and how loud it gets. The menu doesnt have a lot of options that suit me and even though they have a lot of beers Im often feel that they lean too heavily on odd choices for their beer list.
We stumbled upon this place during our exploration of East Atlanta and a good bar to watch the World Cup games. As we turned the corner onto Flat Shoals, we saw the Midway was the place to be. People filled their huge patio and inside as well. We made our way to the bar which also had a lot of seats yet also packed with people watching the game. They have a solid drink menu with lots of unique beers on tap and bottled. Well definitely be making our way back again, especially when theres another game we want to catch and a beer to be had.
Love the patio at Midway! They have a pretty upscale beer list. Well behaved dogs on the patio (my dog was having a rough day). Service is friendly, but slow. Havent eaten here yet. They do have the Euro 2012 on right now, I hear. Bocce ball court in progress. Parking is around the back, enter off Glenwood.
New Drink: Bernard Boiler made famous by midwayBartender: I do not recommend this.Patron: f it, lets do it.The Drink consists of Jameson poured into a St Bernardus creating 3 beer strengths in one. Made famous by Steven Williams and Chris Linch.Ask for this drink by saying, Do you have the drink that the bartender would not recommend?
Appreciate a place that you can sit outside and have a conversation while eating or drinking. Also can watch the game(s) on TV. Food pretty good. Large draft beer selection.Theres a tiki bar also with a little more casual feel and limited bar. Seems to attract gruops and some parents with kids ...there were some kids running around and yelling a bit too much for me. Their parents were in the regular table area and not supervising, directly anyway. Staff should insist parents be there with the kids.
When I say the greatest staff! Amy, Christian, Mya, to name a few....but over all! (Staff) Midway gives me a cool, calm, “CHEERS” in the neighborhood! Hanging out with cool neighbors, networking, and more! There’s nothing gives me more pleasure to come out from home to go to my “other home” and what’s funny! My home church where I grew up and baptized the name is “Midway” 🤣😳😂
Nice chill sports bar in East Atlanta village. Outdoor Tiki bar is great to hang out and watch a Falcons game, soccer, or whatever other sport is being televised. The tater tots are on par and atmosphere is lively. Its seat yourself inside on game days so get there early if you want to sit.

2022-07-08If you are looking for a new guilty pleasure spot, this is it. Food is delicious and while I am sure they have some healthy options, we ordered all the non healthy options lol. First of all, you have to try this place at least once just for the Walking Tacos. Its a shell-less taco inside a bag of fritos. Delicious! I had it with Beyond meat instead of real meat and it was still delicious. I also had a fried chicken sandwich and by bf had the catfish and grits. The grits were super creamy. We topped this all off with a High Noon seltzer. This place was delicious and I will be back! For more food reviews, follow @theboogiefoodie

2022-07-31I visited this place on a Sunday evening, thinking that it would be packed. But, we were able to get seats outside and the atmosphere was chill. I ordered fish and chips and a few cocktails and everything was superb!

2021-07-17Great place to meet friends and have some drinks. A local favorite. Plenty of room inside and out with covered patio area. Dogs welcome and you can pick up a dog bowl from the rack. Wings, sandwiches and other pub food is very good. Beer by the pitcher!!! For COVID you place your order and they call out your name to pick up your own order. Friendly and efficient staff. Street parking could be a challenge during peak hours.

2022-07-09Great local bar and restaurant with a unique ordering/pickup system. You order and your drinks/food are placed on a counter and your name is announced over the speakers to pick up. The food was great and the drinks were served quick. They have a great vibe and awesome large patio as well.

2022-03-19So first off, the food and the beer selection are both very solid and alone they merit a stop. However, some friends and I went today to watch March Madness games and hang on the patio.. without seeing if we or anyone else cared, the manager swapped all the outside TVs to the channel the regular season soccer match was supposed to be on 45 minutes prior to any coverage even starting. When we asked if even one TV could be kept on basketball, we were refused. So all that to say, its a solid bar with nice bar tenders, but the management doesnt care for its patrons or what they ultimately want.

2022-05-10One of our favorite spots in the city. Solid 4 stars for staff, food (good burgers, green chili, fish and chips, great tots), and bar selection. Outdoor patio is covered/uncovered, spacious, dog-friendly. My rating is down to 3 stars since theyve decided to permantly stop table service because people got used to it during COVID and it saves them money. It is really frustrating to keep going up to the counter to get food and then a drink and then a napkin and then... If you are going to be a meal counter, prices shouldnt reflect the full service style you had when the prices were set. Well keep going, but I hope they reconsider and bring back table service.

2022-04-22Went here on date night. Had the chicken Philly and my husband had the buffalo chicken sandwich. This food was AMAZING! it was a long wait but it was so worth it. You use the menu or barcode to decide food and drinks. You order and wait to hear your name over the intercom. I loved the outdoor seating. This place is a vibe.
