The waiter was extremely rude. We repeatedly had to wait for him to service our table. Another waiter had to scold him to help us. The restaurant wasnt even busy. The food was very basic. Ive had better food at much cheaper restaurants. The experience was terrible. I will not come back here especially since youre required to pay 18% for gratuity for a waiter who literally scoffed at us. Definitely not fine dining.
The service was ONLY okay. We made reservations on a Tuesday evening… they were for a party of 3. On person was running a little late and they would not seat us until the 3rd person arrived 🤔Fast forward… after getting seated we had to wave a guy down after about 15 minutes of not being greeted or having a glass of water to sip on while waiting patiently for our waiter/waitress.When he finally finished doing what he was doing with his other table that was so much more important than us he wasn’t friendly at all.⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Seafood Salad⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Drinks⭐️⭐️⭐️ Key Lime PieThe seafood salad was worth every dime. It has real crab meat which was a plus & it would have gone back if it had imitation crab meat lol.The Apple martini was okay more on the bitter sideThe key lime pie was extremely sweet and I want a fan. The people I was with enjoyed their food as well.I may go back at some point but it won’t be my first pick
Parking is street and garage, and even though I got lucky, would love the option to valet at such a nice establishment. Tables were available upon arrival and I decided to sit at the bar. No COVID protocols in place with bar seating, so don’t expect that.I ordered the Casamigos margarita for my drink and it was definitely strong! I only needed one the whole time I was there. The bartender did what he needed to do. For an appetizer, I ordered the calamari. It came garnished with fried lemons (my mouth didn’t appreciate this lol) and tartar sauce (if you like that with your calamari). It could use some more seasoning, but definitely tasted fresh. The batter didn’t stick very well, so I probs wouldn’t order again if I returned. For my entree I ordered the plain swordfish, asparagus, and the truffled mash potatoes. The fish came in a lite butter sauce and tasted AMAZING. It was nice and tender and grilled to perfection. The asparagus came topped with oil and Parmesan. This was a whole meal by itself, but they could’ve kept this bc it had about 10 flakes of cheese for 8 pieces of giant asparagus. Every other piece had no oil, pepper, or cheese on them. It looked barely grilled. Def would not order again. The mash potatoes could’ve been a bit creamier. Tasted like they forgot the sour cream when making them they were so thick, but for taste, they were actually really good.I would definitely be back, but would try a salad and the mushrooms instead of the calamari and asparagus. Def a place worth trying though!
Just experienced an awesome lunch with my fiance. Our server Kevin was down to earth and friendly. He gave us great suggestions and gave excellent service! We had the crab cakes and Mexican grouper dynamite. The million dollar margarita was awesome as well. We will be returning soon!
The service was GREAT! The food, however, in my opinion, had absolutely no flavor!!! For those prices, I would have expected a little more flavor. My boyfriend and I ordered: crab cakes with a side of truffle fries, which was not eaten.... & our second entree: shrimp & grits. Neither of us enjoyed our meal but our waiter Wesley was awesome.
This is one of the worse “fine dining “restaurants I’ve ever been too . It was overpriced , tasteless food , the service was flat . I wasn’t impressed and I felt awful from the drinks later on . The Appletini drink is good but they use cheap liquor . The food wasn’t worth it to me and I felt annoyed and hungry. After our table spent over 1,500 I was expecting more. Wouldn’t recommend at all .
Exceptional experience in private dining! Keri Cohen was AMAZING from start to finish. All of our wait staff were very courteous, attentive and knowledgeable. This experience has exceeded all of my expectations. The food was absolutely delicious! Thank you Oceanaire for making my fiancé’s surprise party one to remember!!!
I popped in on a Wednesday evening because they were able to seat us in short period of time. The host made it seem like we had to have a reservation in order to be seated. I was really surprised after we were seated how empty it was. The menu was pretty average but I wanted the truffle fries the most. Food and drinks arrived really quickly. But the truffle fries we just fries, I couldve cooked frozen fries at home and had the same experience. After the food arrive our server went missing for a long time and no else checked on us. The food was not tasty in my opinion. The service is better at lower end restaurants. This restaurant is really over-rated in my opinion. Expensive, blah food, inadequate customer service, no real ambiance or people-watching.
Went for Easter Brunch. Had the seafood tower (chilled lobster, crab, oysters, and shrimp) all of which was fresh and excellent. The horseradish they use looks like they grate it fresh and it has a milder taste than youd typically expect from prepared horseradish. Couldnt quantify/qualify what made it so good but their version of the Arnold Palmer is the best Ive had. I like mine with unsweet tea so I can only speak to that. Main course was their smoked salmon omelette (Easter Brunch special) - eggs were light and fluffy, and was folded around the ingredients unlike some where everything is just mixed together.Overall well deserving of the five star rating. Waiter was super nice and helped tie together the entire experience. Definitely a special occasion type restaurant but one of the very best Atlanta has to offer in that category.
We always wanted to try Oceanaire from the moment we moved to the area.We were a bit disappointed as we were expecting a fine dining superb experience. Our server was just doing her job, not detailed, not professionally personable as she lacked of fine dining protocols.Perhaps our expectations were set too high, and Oceanaire perhaps caters to those where fine dining is not in their desire.Food was good, we were happy with our selection, but the service has to be on par with it to make the dining experience a memorable one.We might try them again someday, but in Atlanta there are many other places that excel in many areas over Oceanaire.
I recently went to celebrate my husbands birthday. The hosts at the front greet you with a smile. Our waiter, Ron was absolutely amazing. He was well educated on the menu. I really loved how talented Ron was at deboning a WHOLE Dover Sole table side. What a cool experience. Service was perfect. Staff are friendly. The bartender makes delicious drinks and is not shy with the liquor. The chef of the night was phenomenal. My appetizer, entree, and dessert were spot on. This is the BEST seafood I have has in a year. I fully enjoyed my experience. I also appreciate that the parking options are so close to the restaurant. I recommend, and I will return!
Sadly, my experience was mediocre at best. I ordered the crab cake for an appetizer, and it was the best ever. Unfortunately, their signature salmon fish failed to impress and was overcooked. Although my waiter was quite chatty all evening, he was nowhere to be found when I needed my entree corrected. In the end, the second attempt was on the mark, but the overall experience dampened my Welcome to Atlantas Finest business dinner.
Service was lacking, I think our waiter Wes was new. Appetizer dishes still on table when entrees arrived, entree dishes sat on table through dessert, asked us what we were doing for dessert right after we got our entrees, etc. $600 later with tip and this trip was not worth it. Mac and cheese was dry as well. We will be back as other times here were excellent but this one fell short
The best dining experience I’ve ever had in Atlanta and the best seafood I’ve ever had. Definitely would recommend if you are looking for a nice seafood place in Atlanta. The host, Nichole, got me and my wife a really nice table to sit at. And Carl, our server, was amazing too. Definitely request him if you come here.
Took my granddaughter there for her 18th birthday we went for lunch at 1:30 food was great The server was excellent did a fabulous job. Beautifully problem I had is I dont think for a party of six for lunch a $600 check is a little bit unreasonable but we enjoy our time. like I said the service was great so I really didnt mind paying it but your lunch menu should reflect lunch prices and not the fine dining menu at 1:30 in the afternoon.
Had a reservation for a business meal for a party of 8 on 5/4. Rodney was amazing; so pleasant, attentive, and professional! The food was outstanding, and everyone in my party raved about the experience. Thank you for helping me wow my customers with your superior service!
Our waiter was amazing and the food was great. Do not believe the (3 $$$) because it is more like (4 $$$$), My $72-dollar entre was replaced with a similar suggested house special which doubled the meal cost. Just a little surprised. The oysters Rockefeller was awesome and well worth it. The calamari were just average, chewy and not worth it.
It was my first time dining at The Oceanaire and the service was phenomenal! The food was amazing, the filet was delicious! Rodney was our server and made wonderful recommendations for dinner and for the rest of our stay in Atlanta. If it’s your first time visiting I highly recommend requesting him as your server you will not be disappointed.
Waited over 30 minutes to be seated even though we had reservations, and the wait was even longer for our main courses. Sea bass was great, but the temperature of the filet wasnt what was specified. It was medium rare even tho we ordered medium well, but didnt want to wait even longer for another filet so we went with it.The mac and cheese was undercooked and very watery, it basically looked like mac and cheese soup.Drinks were great but smaller, and the prices no longer align with the service and quality of the food. They used to even print out cute little personalized menus congratulating you on your special day when you made a reservation and mentioned that you had a special occasion. Nothing. Theres even an additional charge now for bread for the table, that the waiter explained was due to covid.Weve been long time patrons, but probably wont be back anytime soon. We can spend that amount of money elsewhere for a better dining experience, and nothing about this restaurant feels special anymore.
Food does NOT match they high pricing!!!! We were a party of 6 and 4 of us had to have our steaks heated up 3 different times because they were not cooked right. Waiter was barley checking on us. This overall experience was something I expected from a more basic restaurant.
This was my 3rd time visiting the beautiful restaurant. The food at Oceanaire was good, however, for the price of 4 sea scallops seem a little steep. Our service was great. There were a few items that my family like to get that were not available...disappointing. I would give this visit a 4 out of five.
Worst experience Ever dining out. The hostess was rude, the reception was a joke. My food was mildly bland. I was seated well after my reservation without explanation and then I waited another 20mins for someone to come to the table, after which another 15mins wait just for a beverage, I should have walked away then; lesson learned I will Not waste my time/ dime or calorie intake @ this location. 👎
The service was horrible. The reason I was there was for a birthday dinner party. I am allergic to shellfish so I ordered steak and vegetables when my food arrived it was cold. My waiter never returned to see if everyones food was okay. I finally spoke to the management to see if they would heat my food. After several minutes my food was returned the plate was hot but the food was cold. I asked the manager to feel it and she stated that she was in the kitchen when it was warm-up. She then felt the steak and vegetables. She apologize and deleted it from my check. If it was not my sisters birthday I would have left after the first drink. Not, to mention they brought the wrong cake to the table. (Lol) I can not make this stuff up. I will not return. They all need to be retraining in the restaurant business.
Went for a nice meal, ended up with food poisoning. The whole experience was beyond sub par. They forgot appetizers, entree’s came out under cooked, sent back one entree. Manager came to table to apologize, but failed in so many ways. Could have made things right, but chose to “offer” dessert. Can not recommend, and will never go back.
Came with my family and ordered 5 different meals and most were disappointing in taste to say the least. Maybe we picked the worst items on the menu?Good - calamari, dessertReally bad - Shrimp fried rice with fried lobster (rice was soggy and way too sweet), Filet mignon with crab Louie (extremely over salted), Salmon and fried rice (salty, soggy).Service was good. Would not come back to try anything else here though. Had high expectations.
The night started off with my group having to wait in the lobby area 15-20 minutes past our reservation time, which wasnt a big deal until things got worse. Once seated, we ordered drinks (only part worth the money), and all but one persons came out in a timely manner. We had to ask the server to bring out the last persons drink after waiting longer than expected, to which he replied oh. The employee placing silverware on all the tables dropped the silverware on our napkins sideways and upside down, instead of the fine dining standard of all the silverware pointing the same direction. We then ordered 3 appetizers, and only one came out before an hour passed. After that hour mark, we asked the server to check on our food, to which he replied that he didnt know we had ordered the other appetizers, although he was the one that took the order. The entrées then came out before the other appetizers, and they were cold, dry, and plated like a preschooler had made them. (See picture, definitely not worth the $50+ price point for that dish.) The sides were overcooked. Definitely not worth the four $$$$. The manager was very helpful and understanding, but unfortunately at that point it was too late for corrections and we just sent all the dishes back without taking more than one bite per entrée. The server ended the night by saying he apologized for the experience, but was doing his best. However, he had come to check on us once during the meal, and once he found out that we were unhappy with the experience, he would drop food on the table and run away so that we did not have a chance to communicate anything to him.
Greatest birthday of my adult life. I really enjoyed the pleasant staff and the beautful decor of the restaurant. Everything I ordered was amazing! Shrimp was perfect. Salad was a bit too drenched in dressing-but I wasnt in the mood to ask for a remake - great taste though. I enjoyed the perfect glass of wine! And ate an oyster for the first time in my life... I was so squeamish and nervous! I was given tips that made the experience great and actually very yummy! The baked Alaska was so pretty! Definitely a great experience to have your dessert set ablaze in front of you! I enjoyed my treat-yourself-birthday at this restaurant. Yay to being a quarter of a century old! 😭😭😭🍷
Absolutely amazing seafood! Taste, variety, freshness, and presentation. However, docked a star as two (!) of the signature cocktails on their menu were both out. Both bourbon cocktails missing the bourbon. I would have expected of a place this caliber to keep some bourbon on hand, especially when its the specially selected cocktails on their printed menu. But overall impressed!
When we visited, I was struck by how accommodating and attentive the host, Edwin, was. He went out of his way to ensure that we had the best possible experience from start to finish, ensuring that every detail was taken care of. Whether it was finding us a great table or helping to choose the best server, Edwin always put his guests first. But he wasnt the only one who impressed me at the restaurant. Our waiter, John, was also truly outstanding. With his warm and friendly demeanor, John quickly became everyones favorite at the table, making everyone feel special and appreciated. He also knew exactly how to recommend dishes and pair them with the right wines so that we could all enjoy every bite. Overall, it was an incredible dining experience made all the better by Johns exceptional service and hospitality. So if youre looking for a high-quality dining experience with top-notch customer care, look no further than The Oceanaire Seafood Room!#christianfrazier #theoceanaire #seafood #food #foodie #atlanta #atl #onGoogleMaps #contentcreator #restaurant #review #restaurantreview
Ordered through Uber Eats and I wish I could have enjoyed my food. Paid $30+ for lobster mac & cheese only for it to have HAIR in it.!! My order was sealed up (bag stapled and taped so I know it couldn’t have been my Uber driver) thoroughly disappointed and couldn’t even get someone on the phone from the restaurant.Truly disappointing
The drinks were good, the bathrooms were clean, the bar was well stocked and the service was excellent. The oysters were fresh. The hot towels at the end were nice. However, I have the say that the food was a bit bland and the halibut was a bit overcooked. The crab cakes had lots of meat, but were bland. The octopus was not chewy, but it was also bland. The rock shrimp were excellent. I didnt enjoy the souffle sweet potatoes, corn or other side dishes. The salads were excellent, as was the Calamari. The mushrooms were actually very overcooked, along with the halibut. My boss and I had the same dish and were both unimpressed. Overall, I would rate the food and the drinks as ok, but definitely not worth the price. Ive had much better old fashioneds and Manhattans. Everything seemed very fresh, but I expected much more for the amount we were paying. I will say that the restaurant was quite beautiful and the service was extremely excellent. However, with so many other amazing options nearby, it doesnt rate a second visit.
It was a Monday night, so perhaps the B-squad was on, but this was a solidly mediocre chain fancy seafood experience. Slow service, so-so food, acceptable cocktails. The atmosphere is also a bit sterile. Its neither stodgy woody old-school enough nor hip/modern enough. If you are looking for a middle-of-the-road, inoffensive place for a client dinner in midtown, this will get the job done acceptably well.
The hostess was quite abrasive and rude. Fairly, we were almost half an hour late to our reservation. It was our anniversary and we were coming over from a massage that ran longer that initially planned. It was raining so my husband dropped me off to get inside right before 8:30. The hostess, without letting me in, abrasively poked his head out said can i help you? Once i told him we have reservations, he said it was expired and asked where my husband was, i told him he was parking. He said where? I said I dont know, as we saw him go by the window towards the parking lot. He said ok good hes going to the parking lot. I felt interrogated and so uncomfortable. So i asked him calmly, would you like for us to leave? He said no. I mean why scold me then? Mind you, my husband made our reservations so i wasnt even sure of the details and Im standing there being scolded. Then he told me to stand by the door and open it for my husband when he gets there in a tone youd use to talk to a kindergartener. It was really uncomfortable. He walked us past a huge cockroach that was killed on the floor right by the bar. It really missed with our appetite. It was clearly just killed so they knew it was there. We decided to enjoy our anniversary so we pressed on. Our server, Joshua, was so nice and easy to talk to, there was also another server that came by a few times. Before we ordered anything, we told them about my husbands shellfish allergy. The server said we can substitute the crab cake that came with the steak, but when it came, delivered by the second server, the crab cake was on the plate. They fixed that issue. At the bottom of his mac and cheese that also came with it i saw a bit of lobster(it wasnt supposed to even be a lobster mac). We mentioned it to the second server. He said hes sure that there were no lobster in there and they take allergies seriously... sure but you just delivered a crab cake to the table. Long story short, he had a rash by the time we got home. Thankfully it never got worse than that. By the way, we were not even the last to leave after the fuss when we got there. The food was good and i still didnt do a one star because the servers work hard and it seems like covid has been hard. But i doubt i can come back to this place.
Wow...my how things have changed since covid! This used to be one of my favorite fine dining seafood restaurants. The entire experience was not at the same level as it used to be. Service was ok and food quality and portion size subpar. No more free bread with relish tray. You have to pay for that now. We wont be going back. So dissapointed!
Came for dinner with hubby. We were there for early dinner. So we were basically alone in the restaurant. The food came out una a timely manner. Rodney, our waiter was great! He was knowledgeable, professional and very nice. We ordered the calimari as appetizer. It was a large portion. It was tasty and filling. Along with that we got bread with butter and some vegetables. My husband ordered lobster grilled cheese, which came with a huge portion of fries. He was very happy with his sandwich. The sandwich was full of lobster meat. I ordered the line caught pacific mahi. It came with two spears of asparagus and grits. The fish was a bit bland, I usually do not enjoy grits but this one was very good. Nicely decorated restaurant.
The food was good it’s not worth the price,Very small portions and the drinks were full of ice.And I took pictures of my dishes and my brother and nephew started laughing at the portion of the food i received. I will never come back to Oceanaire. I will never recommend it to anybody that I know.and my bill came to $135 and I’m so disappointing in this place shame on you
Was skeptical going out for dinner, drinks and Socialization during a Pandemic but decided to give it a go. The parking was exceptionally convenient and the customer service was relaxed and Great. The food I ordered for dinner was fresh and Delicious. But what made me a lifetime fan is the desert. I cant wait to come back
It was an amazing dining experience. The food was phenomenal. Fresh, fun, and well-plated. The staff were all very friendly, polite, and professional. That was the most noticeable from the moment I entered. The dinning space was very open and spacious. Nice white linen on all the tables and it was very well-kept.I expected to have a nice and long dinner as I was celebrating my one year anniversary with my girlfriend. The waiter we had was training but he was definitely a veteran in the service because he immediately made the night special after he asked what the occasion was. He was very personable and light. We had specifically went to this restaurant to try the char grilled octopus, and ordered that as an appetizer. The pictures looked great, and tasting it was even better. It was fresh and cooked perfectly. I would have liked the beans to be warmer, but it was still a great dish. My girlfriend was very nervous to try octopus but loved the dish as well. The waiter served us both from the dish to our separate plates. Another wait staff kept our glasses full as well. Whenever any staff walked by, they greeted us.We ordered our entrees after we finished our appetizer (by our choice), and both ordered the filet mignon with shrimp. The hasbrowns were recommended by the waiter, so we ordered that, along with the sweet potato souffle. I ordered medium steak and my girlfriend a medium rare. When the entree arrived, the waiter asked us to cut into our steak and see if it was the temperature we ordered, and both were spot on. He also served the sides to our individual plates. Everything was seasoned appropriately, and tasted phenomenal. The highlight to me was the shrimp. My girlfriend’s was the steak. The hasbrowns were the best I’ve ever had. The top of them was browned and I was nervous the inside was going to be undercooked, however, it was perfectly cooked all the way through. I enjoyed the sweet potato souffle, but my girlfriend found them to be too sweet for her taste. The serving size of the sides is enough for 3 people to share for one side. After the entree, we ordered the baked alaska. It was also recommended and said to be entertaining. That it was! He prepped me in saying I should have my phone ready to record. He flambéed table side and it just added to the experience. He was also extremely generous and comped our dessert. At the end of dinner, we received hot towels. We were very glad to have celebrated at Oceanaire. They truly made the night memorable and special.I would highly recommend this restaurant for a dining experience you will never forget. The wait staff (dining experience experts) were truly amazing, friendly, and pleasant to be around. The food is fresh, well-prepared and presented artfully. Do not go there if you are looking for a quick bite because it is not intended to be that sort of restaurant. It’s about an experience with food.We have already planned to visit again for next year, if not sooner.
This was my first time at the restaurant and it was just okay for me. I had the fried calamari. It contained fried lemons, peppers, octopus, and squid. Good, but I’ve had better. I had the chicken fried lobster as well. The hot sauce that they add to the food is actually sweet. The fried lobster was delicious! The grits that they serve with it are cheesy, but bland. I wouldn’t go back. Especially, for those prices. 🤷🏾♀️
This was the most amazing and romantic place for our 20th Anniversary. First we were greeted at the front by the General Manager. We arrive 30 minutes early and seated right away with custom menu’s wishing us Happy 20th Anniversary. Our server and her Assistant was attentive to us from appetizers to dessert. Everything was fresh and seasoned to perfection. At the suggestion of our server we had the rock shrimp tempura and shrimp&grits. AMAZING!!! Then we both had the twin lobster entree with gouda and lobster mac and cheese. You DEFINITELY need to try this. The dessert baked Alaska 🔥literally. Thank You Oceanaire for making this an unforgettable evening. We will be back soon 😁🤩
Oceanaire Review7-12-20We went to Oceanaire to celebrate my husband’s birthday and although it has been a couple of years since our last visit everything was as wonderful as we remembered. The service, from the host to our waitress, was outstanding and the food was even better. We started by splitting the escargot, which was so tender, not chewy, with spinach, garlic, and puff pastry; it was one of the best I’ve ever had. Next, my husband ordered the New England Clam Chowder and I had the Caesar Salad. The chowder was a little bland and thin but my salad was delicious, however, we had to flag the host to ask for fresh pepper, which he provided himself. For our entrees, my husband went with the KING CRAB LEGS, which he had been craving for awhile, and I tried the SHELLFISH MIXED GRILL (5 oz. Lobster Tail, Jumbo Scallops, Shrimp, Asparagus). Our entrees not only did not disappoint, but they were exceptional. Although the lobster tail was particularly succulent and flavorful, all of the shellfish were delectable and sublime.Because I mentioned my husband’s birthday when I made the reservation through OpenTable, Oceanaire was so generous to provide a complimentary BAKED ALASKA for us to enjoy as our dessert with vanilla and strawberry ice cream at its core and a ceremonious flaming presentation performed tableside.Unfortunately, their espresso and cappuccino machine was not working, but that did not diminish the overall quality of our experience. Thank you Oceanaire for a truly spectacular dinner and for making my husbands birthday so memorable..
Ive always loved Oceannaire. Its an old school, high quality dining establishment with great seafood. The service is always fantastic. Ive only given it four stars as the prices are very high, so the value just doesnt equate. That being said, I love the atmosohere and food and its one of my go-to splurge places.
Stopped by around 7:30 on a Tuesday night with intentions of grabbing a few drinks and dinner at the bar. There were only a couple people seated so I was able to walk right in and sit down. Looked like we could have been seated at a table quickly as well. Ordered drinks, an appetizer, and entrees. Drinks were good as was service. Food was quick and the bartender was friendly. Honestly, food is a little pricey considering this is a chain and the risotto was a bit on the salty side. Those are the only cons. This is not somewhere I would visit weekly but I will definitely be back.
Visit this phenomenal place for the first time and had one of the best experiences ppl are great & friendly make you feel so comfortable, had the change to talk to this lady from Peru she was so polite and super friendly with great vibes we would definitely come back again if we visit Atlanta in the future!
Fresh quality seafood, great service, great atmosphere. Never have a bad meal here. Excellent wine selection, oysters are also fresh and reasonably priced. Only place I go to enjoy seafood. Valet available for easy parking. I always get the Lobster Mac and Cheese as a side, must try.
Of course I was enjoying the company of my daughter for a Mothers Day treat which was lovely. the restaurant was quite open and clean. However I wish the waitress was a little more attentive she seemed to be little overwhelmed but she was kind. Im doing a comparison to how the waiter treated his guest. I may revisit soon.
THEE BEST oysters and IMPECCABLE service. My server, Ms. Beatrice was perfect. Offered menu suggestions, was attentive, and super friendly. I ordered the 4oz. grilled Grouper with asparagus and a side of Lobster Mac n Cheese. I also had oysters and a crab cake for an appetizer. The side of Mac and cheese was twice as big as my entree, so I shared with the table next to me. The Grouper was grilled, but only had a slightly charred & under-seasoned flavor to it. But it was cooked perfectly. I really could have had the oysters, crab cake, and mac and cheese and would have been good to go, but the entree wasnt bad...just didnt take it over the top for me. It definitely wont keep me from going back and trying something else. The crab cake was top notch. No fillers, all crab meat, perfectly prepared and seasoned, with a great sauce with it. Great dining option. A little on the pricey side, so keep that in mind.
Im going to go ahead and give The Oceanaire 5 stars. The service is friendly and inviting and the atmosphere is sheik with an old school vibe. The menu isnt overly detailed so youre not sitting confusing yourself about what to order. We ordered 12 oysters and they came out quickly and fresh. They were great. We ordered our entrées and the food came out quickly and was amazing. The filet mignon was absolutely outstanding! Im a big fan of brussel sprouts but they werent the best Ive had. The Brussel sprouts would be my only non 5 star of the experience. It was my birthday and they brought us an absolutely delicious dessert. They even lit it on fire which was a great effect! This was a pleasant experience. I do recommend trying The Oceanaire if youre ever in downtown Atlanta! It is $$$$ so as long as you understand what that means you will he satisfied! Oh but there is no valet parking! That does suck for such an upscale restaurant but the parking lot is next door so its not enough to drop the rating imo! Go eat dinner here!
Admiral Hour at the bar. Service was slow and inattentive considering that the bar wasn’t crowded. Bar tender never offered to refill our drinks or check on us for anything, not even to see if we were satisfied with our food. Thankfully, the food made up for the subpar service. Drinks were just meh, but it was happy hour.
Hubby and I went to The Oceanaire Seafood room our Anniversary/Valentines dinner date. The atmosphere is stunning, the staff was accommodating and professional. However for the money that we paid the food was not worth it at all. They need a new hostess and chef ASAP. Don’t think we will be back. Have had much better food for far less money 🙄😒
Dinner for 4 of us. Our server was okay, the gentleman the poured our bottles of wine made us feel welcome. We had a brief conversation once he discovered we were Jamaicans. Overall he’s was very professional.Food was served cold except for one. It was my brother’s birthday and a surprise dinner for him. Three of us ordered fish dishes (2 salmon & 1 Sea Bass) my cousin ordered steak. My cousin steak was perfect to his liking, however, everything on the dishes from mashed potatoes to the vegetables was cold. The manager apologized and offered to remake my Sea Bass. I kindly declined, she offered to take it of the tab which I also declined. My brother and I have worked at some of the finest hotel/ restaurants in NYC and knows what tend to happen when your food goes back to the kitchen. I was I no mood to create a scene so I paid knowing that we will not return there.
Everything about this place was amazing! The atmosphere was beautiful and everyone from the host to the manager were great! The food...the food was delicious. The only thing didnt like was the sponge cake at the bottom of the baked Alaskan dessert. It was too much coffee flavor for me but that might be your thing. The presentation and portions were well worth the price!!!
I think the atmosphere is dated and the food is over priced. With so many great restaurants in Atlanta I just cant justify going back although Ive gone 2x in the last 60 days. The seafood salad and crab cakes are delicious. The steaks were tasty too but 90 dollars for 4 scallops. Why?
My husband and I celebrating our 10th wedding anniversary went to Oceanaire restaurant. While making the reservations we indicated this was a celebration. The service was lackluster at best, no special acknowledgment of the anniversary and our expectation was the service should be equivalent to what the price of the meal was. We were very disappointed and I would not recommend the restaurant. We’ve had family celebrations at lesser restaurants that have celebrated our occasion and was much more enjoyable than what we experienced. The food was fine, but not spectacular. Do better!!!
Very shocked at the quality of food delivered and presented. Bread was Kroger quality, maybe even subpar. The Oysters seemed almost pre frozen and not fresh quality. Filet mignon was cold and dry. They served the most oil filled hashbrowns from waffle house. Swordfish was dry and seemed cold as well. Everything just seemed it had been sitting out for a while. The atmosphere was nice and decorated pleasantly. Go to the Optimist instead.
Came in for lunch. The space is gorgeous, modern, sleek. Truly upscale. I felt the fishes and shark on the walls were a little cliche, and could be replaced with pieces of colour coordinating modern art. Otherwise, I had the fried octopus, and my guest had the halibut - both beautifully placed on the plate. Our server was lovely, although I wish she had presented our food properly by telling us what it is we were being served. She didnt seem the most informed, especially when we inquired about our what and where our oysters came from. Lunch was quiet, and would recommend if youre looking to have good conversation.
My wife and I went here for New Years Eve. We had excellent oysters to start. She had and greatly enjoyed her fish. I had the filet mignon and crab cakes. The steak was fine. The crab cakes were the best I have ever had. The desserts were fine. I certainly plan to return.
OMG amazing!!!!! Had the scallops with wild mushroom risotto and hubby had Chilean sea bass with truffle whipped potaoes. Truly outstanding and likely the best meal we are going to have in Atlanta. Staff very friendly and welcoming from the second we walked in. Server Avishek was extremely knowledgeable, warm, efficient and respectful. He helped us with our cocktail selection. I must recommend the spiced pear mule if you like a crisp, not too sweet, refreshing beverage. The seafood was cooked to perfection and the atmosphere is delightful. Highly recommend Avishek to add to the enjoyment!!! I didnt get her name, but the young lady who filled our water glasses was so sweet and was enjoying her 4th day with Oceanaire. We will be back before we leave Atlanta. I will also recommend the baked Alaska....just sayin. Money well spent.
The food was not tasty enough to justify the prices listed. My friend ordered the scallops which were incredibly salty. He sent them back and the new ones that were sent again were still incredibly salty and undercooked. This restaurant tends to attract an older crowd. You will not see young people come to eat here.
I would give them a hundred stars. My husband took me for my birthday the food is soooooooo goooooood just delicious 🤗😋 the drinks are also goooooood. They set Baked Alaska on fire for my desert and our waiter Manny gave outstanding service. Thanks Manny for helping to make my birthday soooooo special ☺️
Food was tasty. I ordered the sword fish and it was cooked perfectly. The service was A1. This place is pricey but you know that walking in and everything matches up with what youre paying. If youre on a budget, any type of budget, this isnt your place. If you are trying to get a good meal or on a date, business or personal and want to impress. You wont go wrong here.
As a food blogger, I was disappointed in my experience or no experience eating here last night for Christmas dinner. Where do I begin, okay…a couple who did not have a reservation was seated before me…noted taken #1. Then we get seated 15 min after arrival, with the hostess walks 8 miles per hour when I’m walking 3 miles per hour with my martini in my hand trying now to spill…you get the visual…now we’re seated, our server who was great - we ordered oysters…I ordered beet salad with goat cheese my bestie ordered clam chowder. So now 20 minutes has came and gone I looked at my watch and a man appears with all back on with a red jacket (fresh manager training) to say we’re out of your beet salad…hmmm…okay…that manager out of training did not say, how can I make you whole. Can I offer you anything. He proceeded to say OK as he listened. Now I will just sped it up…they were out of the sea bass (which I came for) and three other seafood items. Knowing they were open for business…could they have reprinted the menu to reflect what’s on the menu…YES!!!At this point I’m done and ready to go, I ask for the check, they did comp our food court high we ordered salmon, Brussels sprouts, Ahi Tuna, Asparagus and clam chowder, which they ran out as well. My point is adjust the menu to what you have and timing should be on point. Amy the manager try to make it right, thank you Amy!
Overall, POOR SERVICE and lacks both ETHICS and PROFESSIONALISM. Not a great experience at all. My young adult daughter and niece both 20 years old celebrated their Birthday just a few nights ago and (Party of 2)... Because I was unable to arrive on time, I spoke with the Server Joshua over FaceTime and he mentioned that the kitchen was closed due to the restaurant having closed at 9PM. Therefore, I requested the Chilean Sea Bass $60, two Caesar Salads not sure of the price and one Lobster Tail priced at $24, To-Go. When my daughter arrived back to our Hotel room with the large brown bag of food, I was puzzled and later disappointed to find a small box, consisting of only the one Lobster Tail, nothing more! I immediately contacted Oceanaire but of course, there was no answer because they had closed. I reviewed the receipt to confirm that my daughter had indeed placed my order properly with Joshua after he and I had spoken and from the looks of the attached receipt, she and Joshua only forgot one of the Caesar Salads. However, there was an 18% Gratuity added to both of the receipts, separately - which is actually goes against Oceanaires Policy considering their were only two Guest within my daughters party rather than 6 or more. After speaking with two Staff members, both women confirmed that the Gratuity should have NEVER been added to either bill. The next day, I received a call from Oceanaires General Manager who told me BASICALLY that I did receive all of my food because his Chef and Server told him so. The same Server that overcharged my daughter with additional food items on her bill that she never ordered AND collected BOTH a Cash Gratuity as well as an 18% Gratuity that he maliciously included within both of their bills separately. The General Manager even had a ridiculous EXCUSE for why my girls were charged the unnecessary Gratuity. He actually stated that his Server had advised him that my 20 year old daughter and niece asked to see what an 18% Gratuity looked like on a bill! RIDICULOUS and INSULTING!! As if my girls have never experienced fine dining or even simpler... They could have used the calculators from their cell phones or even calculated the 18% Gratuity mentally! The General Manager also told me that they werent charged a Gratuity based upon the receipts that he had in his presence. I then offered to email the receipts to him; only for him to see for himself that the information that he had received or had quickly made up was FASLE! The receipts arent lying! However, the receipts that the Server apparently submitted for that night were completely different from what he presented to my daughters. I never received my complete order and was overcharged more than $100! The GM added that hed have to seek the opinion of another Server (to determine if I was being honest, basically) Wow... So I suggested that the General Manager review the security cameras to confirm my concerns, considering he pretty much questioned the validity of my statements ALTHOUGH I provided proof but he mentioned that he didnt have cameras; so I suggested looking at the outside security camera when I emailed him additional receipts. I have yet to hear back from the General Manager with regard to a solution for this issue and its been 3 days. This is supposed to be a 4 - 5 Star Restaurant and the Server Joshua has been employed for more than 10 years (so its obvious he both needed the money and is extremely skilled in manipulating their POS System. I simply expected MORE. However, being overcharged, taken advantage of, have my character pretty much called into question, lied to, also, having never received all of the food in which I ordered and no follow up as promised is unprofessional, unethical and by far the worst experience Ive ever encountered from the restaurant industry. This place will never see another penny of my hard earned money. Beware!
TERRIBLE!! We didnt get our drinks for 2 hours, when the finally gave us out entrees 2 1/2 hours after we got there most of steak was severely undercooked we had to send them back and again the served us undercooked steak. Our dirty dishes from the waters, oysters and appetizers stayed on our table for 40 min and we had to keep hunting down wait staff and management. We were celebrating a birthday and the poor birthday girl had to spend most of it up at the front trying to talk to a manager to get better service. Never going here again
The food had no seasoning and its over priced. The waiter started out nice but when he realized no one at the table wasnt buying any liquor for drinks his demeanor changed once the food came he didnt come back to even check on us. He even gave the check to someone else to close us out without even telling us. This was first and will definitely be my last!!
My wife and I absolutely love this spot ! From the walk in ,it gives you city vibes with a heavy splash of elegant. Romantic ombieance with dem lighting. Customer service is on another level. From start to finish . We now frequent this spot on the regular. Too 5 in ATL FOR SURE!
The service was terrible. I think the waitress may have been new so we cut her some slack. However, her possible lack of experience shouldn’t affect my dining experience especially for the price we paid. We were seated before 9 and didn’t get food not even bread until close to or a little after 10. The restaurant was not crowded or even full. I order med well and got medium at best. My asparagus was way over cooked. The truffle potatoes were bland. The Louisiana salmon was very underwhelming.
I came for happy hour before a show at the Fox theatre, and it was a tad bit disappointing. The oysters were the highlight of what we had, and I would highly recommend this place for quality oysters. The calamari was average and not outstanding. The calamari Itself tasted fresh. The charred octopus we had was extremely over cooked and the reason that I wouldn’t come back. The shrimp cocktail is also $4 for one large shrimp that was tasty in my opinion but my significant other said it could have been fresher.
Food was amazing. Service was excellent initially, but declined to zero after we paid the bill, even though we stayed for another hour to finish our wine. Were not checked on once for over an hour. Not even for a refill on water.Had the lobster bisque, chicken fried lobster, and the mac cheese and lobster. All three were amazing. The lobster bisque was just the right consistency and not too rich while at the same time nice size pieces of lobster. The chicken fried lobster appealed to my curious side and I had to try it. Again, terrific. Three half tails of lobster. Really enjoyed it.Mac cheese and lobster was awesome as well. All in all it was a great experience. The only other exception would be to say that it is on the more expensive side, but it is awesome for an occasional treat.
Ive been wanting to go to this restaurant for over 10 years, and I finally was able to this past Saturday night for my wifes birthday. It was a fantastic experience, from the food, to the staff, to the drinks. The biggest surprise was when I ordered a side of calamari and there were a couple slices of fried lemon included. Ive never had it and I absolutely loved it. We both had a fantastic time and well definitely go back.
Me and my husband ate there yesterday the food was horrible they over Priced $400 for a little bit of nothing but the food was horrible . I had to send some of the food back the most horrible place I’ve ever eaten at I recommend you not go there the food is horrible horrible horrible overpriced and horrible no seasoning
First let me say I’m a ex server. I worked at the Ritz my entire college years. The waiter that served our table was very unprofessional. He prejudged the table. He ignored the entire table the entire night. I will never return. The food was okay. Shrimp cocktail was not fresh. Better places to enjoy a birthday dinner.
Chris was a great waiter! The other two ladies not so much. They had attitudes when asked questions about things on the menu and gave us dirty looks. The food was ok. I ordered the Filet Mignon and Jumbo Shrimp. The steak wasn’t as tender as others I have had in the past. Over all the food was mediocre compared to the price. The Hennessy and Grand Marnier was great! Thanks Chris!
Went on 11-21-21 for dinner. Hostess told me to be seated while I wait for my guests. About 10 minutes later she checked the reservation saying it was for 15 minutes later. I waited 45 minutes in the lobby for my party only to find they had been seated and eating all along. Hostess blamed me. Manager made excuses for her saying the reservation was for 5 and not 6 persons like that made a difference. I had already verified the reservation name. Everyone at the table had completed their meals. Offered a free cocktail but took another 20 minutes to recieve it. Horrendous service. They did not discount the check for the error. Full price was paid for a meal I had to box up to take home. Will never return.
Ive eaten at Oceanair many times prior to COVID, and the food was always EXCELLENT.This was my first visit since the shutdown in 2020, and to say I was shocked at the how much the prices had skyrocketed is an understatement. I ordered the Lobster Mac & Cheese at $30 a bowl along with a $12 Ceasar Salad. The Mac & Cheese was flavorless as well oily, and the noodles werent cooked thoroughly, the Romain lettuce was wilted, and the croutons were stale. I attempted to push ahead and not complain, but I just couldnt, I finally requested that my server take both items back. The only thing that has kept the quality of the pre-COVID Oceanaire were the Crabcakes, two of my friends had them, and rant about how good they were.I wont be returning...so disappointed 😔
What a great meal. The ambiance is perfect the meal comes at a perfect pace, and you are able to tell the ingredients are freshly acquired. If you get a chance to dine here ask for Zoe, she was the perfect blend of service and interaction. Thank you young lady for a great evening.
Two of us went right after they opened on a Saturday night. Main room was airy and light. Table was spacious for us, and could have easily seated six. Servers were available but not pushy. Throughout the evening, the assistant manager and chef both visited our table. No qualms about the service. 5/5My dining partner ordered a Manhattan which came in a bourbon glass sans traditional elements like bitters or a cherry. My Old Fashioned was a little on the sweet side, but overall a good drink. 4/5We ordered the crab cake as an appetizer. Chunky and meaty with only a small amount of moisture to bind everything together. Remoulade sauce was light and complementary to the crab. Easily the highlight of the evening. 5/5I ordered the pan seared New Bedford scallops and my partner ordered the pan seared Chilean Sea Bass dynamite. Both came out cooked as appropriate for quality seafood. The crispiness from the sear on the scallops balanced nicely against the creaminess of the meat of the scallop and risotto, although the dish overall was under-seasoned. The same story was true for the Sea Bass: Nice textures but no pop. I would expect better at $75/plate. 4/5
Not my first time here, love this place, but we made reservations to celebrate my daughter’s birthday here today and the service was not at to what it usually is … the waitress wasn’t cleaning our table, when we order desert pour so much liquor it taste horrible, my cappuccino was cold , they took for ever to bring our sides, not pleased at all, won’t be going back…
Went here last night for a birthday celebration dinner and the food was fabulous! The Escargots Bourguignonne, Seafood Chopped Salad (more than enough for two), and the Chesapeake Bay Crab Cakes were delicious. Our waitress, Amaya, was so friendly and helpful explaining the menu for those who had never dined there before; ask for her when you go. We will definitely be going back! 😋
Service was excellent, 5 star. Our waitress was the best of the best. But the menu was very misleading. We ordered 1.5# of “Dutch Harbor King Red Crab” and they were Red crab but they were very, very small for “Dutch Harbor”. I am from Florida and buy crab legs much bigger from my local grocery store. I understand paying for the atmosphere but not when they mislead you on what you are paying for. I will never eat there again and would not recommend this restaurant.
Wife was craving grilled oysters. She was overjoyed with the flavor. She also loved the crab cakes. They were actually crab compared to a little crab and a lot of filling. I had the shrimp and grits that were perfectly cooked and seasoned. My salmon was fresh and well prepared. The service was great as well as the food. Be prepared to spend some money but it is worth it.
Very nice! Upscale and classy...excellent spot for a romantic dinner! Try the oysters and crab cake for appetizer. The cocktail I ordered was very good...sorry cant remember the name. For the main course, we had chef specials, sword fish and filet mignon and blueberry bread pudding for dessert. My chef special came with lump crab cake and gouda mac n cheese...the combinations are different, for the most part the food/menu is fresh, local, and based on availability...most items are served a la cart. Food and service was topnotch!
My wife and I were celebrating and decided to try Oceanaire. The ambiance was very nice and our waitress was really good. So far so good right?!?! I would say yes until the main course arrived. The steak and crab cakes were a little over cooked, asparagus was cold, and the mash potatoes were DRY. I don’t know how that can happen, but it did. We let our waitress know and she stated she did, but they did not try to make our meal better nor did they comp them. Needless to say, we won’t be back.
Overpriced and so-so food. Advertises itself as being fine dining seafood...our meal said otherwise. Three diners. I had a swordfish filet with sweet chili sauce. Co-diners both had 6-ounce steaks and crabcake. Sides were whipped truffle potatoes and cream corn. The potatoes were stiff, chunky and served with only a dash of truffle. The corn side was tough, but flavorful. Crabmeat appetizer was tasty...but chunks of meat were small. The large serving of Clam Chowder was flavorful, but too thick/pasty for my preference. The bread pudding dessert was shared...a big chunk that had a nice sauce and was 3 of 5 on the taste scale. The service, was top-notch, with the waiter being personable and attentive. Total bill was $500 ... no alcohol drinks. Definitely wont be returning.
Parking is the issue for those who have older parents. Wait staff is not attentive. I specifically asked for no oil hash browns or minimal it was doused in oil. It seems that other seafood restaurants would drink higher on my list although the pricing would be better. Wild mushrooms although tasteless at least they were not doused in oil. Also we waited for an hour for our food. And orders were mixed up and some sides were missing which prompted for another wait. Walking distance to Intermezzo where desert is fabulous.
We made reservations weeks in advance for our dinner last night. The atmosphere was nice, our service was very good. She always checked if we needed anything and was very friendly. However, the food was not worth the price. When we got there they was out of almost everything. The son wanted the lamb chops since hes allergic to seafood. He had to settle for a kids meal.
My server David was the most pleasant person ever. Me and my sisters where having our annual sisters day. So we decide to stop in and eat. The staff at the door was so polite it was refreshing. Once seated David greeted us he attended to ever need we had. The food was amazing. Im a certified seafood lover and I appreciated the food and service. I will be back for a birthday dinner
All right the seafood restaurant at 4 Aviance decor with a great atmosphere was fine a little cool for the liking so make sure you take a jacket if you are cold or in it food was good I ordered the seafood shell platter requested to have my lobster tail deep-fried which day did accommodate I love a deep fried lobster tail it is mouth watering the only thing that was wrong with my dish was the scallops were a little salty I did have a chance to talk to the chef as we were leaving and reminded him or as you would say told him about that situation and he said duly noted this was a Mothers Day outing and it was wonderful as noted before be prepared for a little high prices but the food was good
I have had better service before. A little disappointed this time.. Celebrating 2 birthdays, restaurant empty and we still couldnt get waiter to remove finish dishes or come check on us to see if wanted else. But he brought bill and snatched it up quick before we could tell him something about it.
The atmosphere was very nice and the service was exceptional. The staff was very attentive and knowledgeable. My cocktail, the Guava Daiquiri was delicious as well as the crab cake! My entree, the filet mignon with gouda mac-n-cheese, lacked in flavor, but it wasnt terrible. I would suggest adding some seasoning to the entrees and everything would be perfect.
I can honestly say I was extremely disappointed with my dining experience at The Oceanaire. I ordered a seafood boil that lacked some of the ingredients specified (sausage and crab legs to be exact). I had them remake it again...and there was still a “bottom of the barrel” look to my plate. I requested to have the meal removed from my ticket. The manager did not communicate this information to our waiter and I was double charged. My card is now on hold for an $85 meal for almost 3 days now that I didn’t even consume. Be mindful of going here. This was my sisters 50th birthday dinner and it was an unpleasant dining experience... between the suggestive up selling to the lack of care about the delight of our meal to ensuring I paid for what I consumed. My first and last time going to this restaurant. I would not recommend this restaurant to ANYONE. I have grace and patience, but honestly for the price point, there shouldn’t be this many errors.
Went to Oceanaire tonight, 9/6/21, for my daughter’s birthday. We parked in the garage right next door to the restaurant, which was pretty convenient. Valet was not applicable at this restaurant. Reservations are required. The restaurant wasn’t busy at all and we were able to be seated immediately. Our server, Jacolby, wasn’t personable at all. I learned his name from another waiter. Everything took forever. We were seated by 6:40pm and our order was taken at 7:30. Jacolby assumed we were waiting for more people. When our drinks came, the Guava Daiquiri stole the show. If you’re into sweet cocktails, you’ll love this. The food was good. However, seeing as though this is a seafood restaurant, the options were limited. The fillet mignon was delicious and I had it cooked medium. Out of nowhere Jacolby made it a point to tell my daughter that her son’s lemonade didn’t come with free refills. Why was that necessary? After the table was cleared, we waited another 20 minutes for the check, and another 30 minutes to pay. It was to the point where we scanned the bar code on the receipt to pay online, but that didn’t work. Once again, we had to get the attention of another waiter to track Jacolby down. Smh. Jacolby ruined the moment for us tonight. He had an attitude for no apparent reason and he doesn’t seem to enjoy his job. The food was good, but I probably won’t be going back to this establishment due to the lack of customer service skills this server possesses. We spent over $500 and didn’t even get a “thank you, come again.”
Waitress was very rude & unprofessional. And I as a customer was given the wrong oz of crab & was told to prove it in front of everybody with an scale & I came out right plus overall they was rude about it & this devastated my family because it was an family birthday celebration. I’m disappointed & do not recommend this restaurant even the GM was the actual person was proved wronggg!
Manager , Caucasian guy was disrespectful to my 7 year old son and I. He asked if we had headphones. I’m assuming he found a pair and wanted to know if they belonged to us. But no, he came and stood behind my son and asked him to turn the iPad down. Very disrespectful. Another manager came around to check in with us, (black female) and I told her what happened she apologized on his behalf. The waiter saw what happen and of course, kept quiet. Then later said that his device was loud but, she didn’t have a problem. Offered free dessert for my son. When I checked the receipt, it said “bday treat”. Food wasn’t even as good. Just bad service. I do not plan on giving them anymore of my money ever.
Went on Thursday night to celebrate my birthday. Theres a parking garage right next to the restaurant-ended up being $16, not sure how much the parking lot across the street cost. Although the restaurant was fairly empty it took a minute for our meal to come.....but it was worth the wait!!!! Amazingly Delicious. The waiter was very nice and polite. Three ppl no alcoholic drinks we spent $320 w/ tip. I would recommend and I would go back. The reason for the 4 stars--- as up scale as its supposed to be ppl where wearing whatever and I mean whatever....one guy was in shorts & soccer slides, one lady had on a hoodie and sweats & not cute ones Im talking grey ones straight outta wally world. Im no fashion guru but if you have a dress code up hold it...please and thank you.
So We went here for our 21 Anniversary. The lobster was good, and the lobster mac n cheese was good but we Ive had better king crab and a bit cheaper. My husband enjoyed the asparagus as for me a little too crunchy. They gave us a dessert on the house which was okay my husband loved it. Now I ordered margaritas and my husband order spiced rum the drinks were definitely overpriced and mediocre. But the waitress atmosphere and the cleanliness of the restaurant was so great that I gave the review 4 stars
Sure the ambience is nice but get ready to spend a whole lot of money for extremely average food. The entree will cost you a good $40 and no sides are an additional $20. The appetizers tasted better than the actual food or maybe I was just hungry. It took them an hour to bring the actual food out. For a check of $1200 they should have waited on us head and foot. For 10 of us friends we each paid $300 per 2 people, thats a bit much for the service and food we got. I dont mind paying big bucks for quality but nope never again here. Save your time/money and go some place else that appreciates your business.

2022-01-04This place service, staff, and food is exceptional. The manager will greet you and introduce themselves, to me that’s a perfect start. The waitress Maddy D. did an amazing job with everything, I don’t have bad to say at all. The food quality is the best I’ve had in a very long time, the parking is decent because at least it’s next the building and not in a deck or a long walk. Parking downtown is always a pain, I highly recommend this place for any occasion or the experience. The dress code isn’t force however I recommend business causal, it have the vibe and scenery for that plus you will look like an adult. Give it shot and enjoy shout out to Maddy D.

2021-11-28I really expected exquisite tasting food but it was just okay. Its a nice ambience but the food was way over priced and did not taste that great. I have had much better swordfish and steak. It was my birthday that my husband chose this place but I cant recommend it. The staff a was nice and the place was clean so I will give 3 stars but they really gotta step up with the taste if the food to match the prices. Really bland, they tried to add flavor with the sauces but just not there. The appetizers tasted better than the main course.

2021-12-12Great place for dining in downtown Atlanta and good ambience. The food is good. We ordered shrimp and grits, cocktail shrimps, fried calamari, crab cakes, steak, clam chowder and Baked Alaska.Definitely order the steak- it’s really tender and juicy. The crab cakes were also very tasty. The clam chowder was filled with potatoes and didn’t have any clams in it. It was also super thick.Absolutely loved the shrimps. The desserts were okay.Overall the experience was good.

2021-11-01One of the best meals I have had the pleasure of enjoying in quite sometime. Our waiter was excellent. We enjoyed bread and vegetables while we waited on our appetizer. It was the perfect compliment to the Bloody Mary I ordered. Im always looking for a good Bloody Mary and this place delivered. We had the crab cakes for an appetizer, they were packed with crab meat and just enough breading to give them a little crunch on the outside. For my entree I had the crab legs. Wow. Perfect. They were cracked down the middle and fully packed with meat. It was such a wonderful meal. When I visit Atlanta again I will definitely be going back for round 2.

2022-02-24Theres just no way to explain how amazing this place is - if you havent been, you should ensure this hits your must try list for Atlanta! Theres a beautifully-flavored menu of seafood, steak, and sides that is absolutely perfect regardless of what youre feeling that day.The wine and cocktail list is also vast and colorful, with my personal recommendations being the Oceanaire 2.0 and Appletini. On this particular visit we had es cargo, a seared chilea sea bass with broccolini, and a grilled swordfish steak dynamite with gouda baked mac and cheese. If you havent made the trip yet, go. You wont regret it!

2021-09-26Its my birthday and we always wanted to visit this place! The ambience was very nice and we had a great waiter, but to our dissatisfaction, the $$$ price for food didnt meet our hungry expectations; therefore, the food, in our opinion, is overrated for the cost! In addition, I had to send back my blackened salmon to the chef, twice, because it wasnt well done and too pink/jelly inside! Extremely disappointed in that, because I know my Salmon; nevertheless, our waiter and the manager took care of the matter.Anyway this was our first experience; however, my slice of birthday cake was really good.We tipped everyone, because thats just the right thing to do, and the nite out was beautiful, so some blessings came out of the evening. Regards, The Williams.

2022-03-30I had a wonderful experience: the hospitality was awesome, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was nice/calm. My waiter surprised me with an amazing cake to top it off to help celebrate my accomplishment of being selected as Teacher of the Year. Thanks for the wonderful experience.
