We expected a bit better from the pictures and known quality of the hotel brand. The pool was very green and murky. It had a vacuum floating in it and the man at the desk actually told my son to go swimming in it. I couldn’t believe it and luckily my son said no way, not in that nasty pool. As we walked up from the garage, there was a window knocked out on the first floor and the employees were parking in the electric charging spots after they told us we could park and charge in it. When they finally moved a car one of the chargers didn’t even work. As for the coffee in room, it was really nice to see a nespresso maker and pods until we then saw powder cream packets, so what’s even the point of a nice cup of coffee.
Check in was fine. My room, a superior king, no so superior. No Kleenex in bathroom. Lighting is a little inadequate especially in the shower with curtain closed. Sink vanity was in pretty bad shape and towel bar fell off.Went to the second floor bar, waited ten minutes for service, never asked for an order so we walked out.The hotel has much potential but a little subpar this trip.
Fantastic hotel - HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!! The hotel is gorgeous... southern historic building on top of a large hill, overlooking the city. The staff are VERY friendly and always helpful. Hotel grounds are well-kept. One of the best things - THE ROOMS... rooms are large and electronically friendly (which surprisingly is hard to come by at large chain hotels). There are plenty of USB and USB-C power ports. The beds are VERY comfortable along with great sheets and pillows. One nice touch the hotel had was welcome champagne for arriving guests... They dont have to do that, so that was a nice touch!
The front desk staff were professional and pleasant. The room and pool was great 2 reasons for my low score was the $15 per day for parking that I learned about on the 3rd day and the feeling of being ripped off by the 8595 Restaurant. I went there to eat and after about 20 minutes of servers walking pass without any service I decided to call for room service. The next day I went there to ask about a charge I was told the charge could not be removed. Trying again the next day I was charged $31 for a burger that was a rock with welted lettuce. Had to go back for a fork and mustard. Asked for extra pickle and told there was an extra charge. 2 strikes theyre out.
Disappointing to hear that my March reservation has been cancelled. The hotel had a planned shut down Jan - Feb in an abundance of caution w an expectation of rise in Covid numbers. So I booked our stay in March. A get - away for me and my girlfriends from Greenville, SC. Then I get an email that “Due to the current travel environment” they have temporarily suspended operations and will not be able to honor my reservation. What’s up Hilton?!? Oh well. Hyatt gets our business then.
Amazing staff from front desk to valet. Joyce, Harvey, Kelle, Shaquana and Arthur ALL just wonderful. The hotel is a historical gem. Normalize being nice to people learn from this team! Stayed for business and pleasure they rolled out the red carpet. Very proud to have this hotel as a part of the Hilton family.
Very disappointing, booked reservation for my birthday. Food was ok, the menu was mediocre.. and some of your entrees you have to pay extra for your sidesMy husband doesnt like sweet potatoes and wanted to substitute with fries, the chef refused, my husband was told if he didnt want the sweet potatoes, hell have to pay extra to replace it w/ fries.. really does this guy think hes Gordon Ramsay?! The coffee was terrible 😔 tastes watered down. Not pleased at all with this place, over rated, well never return.
I was not impressed overall by my stay. We choose the Partridge Inn because it was close to the Childrens Hospital and because the reviews were good. When my husband and I travel more than 3 hours anywhere we tend to dress as comfortable as possible. I felt that the staff at check-in gave a very judgmental air based on how were we dressed. Moving past check-in however, the floors are uneven and difficult to walk on if you are already unsteady on your feet. Once inside the room we discovered that the only tv channels that worked were sports and news and the balcony was dirty. When we woke up the next morning, we were met with the fact that the refrigerator was also broken and my sons milk had spoiled during the night. We ended up having to leave extra early just to get more milk as they claim that they did not have any we could use.
My babyboy brought me there for Mothers Day brunch and we were so disappointed. The layout of the food from the website was totally different from what we got when we were there. There is room for lots of improvements. It was over priced. The inside seating was good. I may give it another chance.
Came back one night to find the door to my room left open. I had asked for the room to not be cleaned, but the trash was emptied and towels removed, so I can only assume the cleaning staff didnt shut the door. Not sure how many hours it was like that. Very concerning.
Booked stay via agent for Masters as nearest hotel and a Hilton to the Masters golf. Reception was good, room not ready but we were early, no problem, went to the bar for food and drinks, told to check back at 3pm, room not ready, more time in bar watching the Masters on TV room eventually ready about 5pm. Asked about food in evening and was told evening meal only available at 5:15 via a app booking system. Room up in the loft basic, no opening windows at all I was told to get fresh air I should have gone for a balcony room, air condition unit was broken and noisy. Had to order room service, food arrived after a lengthy time we had hen started eating this but it was clearly very under done and pink, this wasnt eaten. When we came back from the golf the following day the food hadnt been cleared away, cups not cleared, room not made up. I paid for the bar bill in cash but upon checkout was told I hadnt, we went to the golf again and upon arrival the bill still hadnt been sorted as the manageress had been too busy, so what, sort it. We waited and eventually they had sorted the problem their internal procedures had not tallied but thats not my issue, I even had to get the waitress to speak to the manageress to tell her she paid the cash to someone to prove I had paid. The management told me they were not going to charge for room service cost, big deal I should have got the food free also as most was left. Management are appaling they do not have a clue and we were quite glad to get out of there. It doesnt matter its Master weekend and they are busy thats no excuse. Next time we will go elsewhere and if any one has any sense they will avoid also.
My door to my room could literally be pushed open without a key and the front desks recommendation was to keep my valuables in my car and theyd try to fix the door. Then the front desk lady goes gosh people have been complaining about everything today. So I ask for another room and she gives me keys that dont work three times.
I love staying in historic hotels. This one does need to undergo a major renovation in the near future. Rooms need to be renovated including air conditioning system. Seem to have problems with the elevators with buttons randomly lighting up.All that being said, pool was very nice and refreshing. The food in the main dining room was excellent along with the service. We used the shuttle a lot and all the drivers were great.
We tried our best to enjoy our stay and there were a few highlights, however, the lows were very low. Firstly, this hotel shows each age in every way; everything is dated and even as Hilton Honors members, there were limited amenities that could be offered at this location. Secondly, we selected and paid for a balcony room with all the works for a romantic getaway (city view and all) and the room was not turned over properly (the shower did not drain, the floor, washcloths and linens had blonde strands of hair everywhere and the condiments for coffee/tea were OPENED!) You can tell that the room was not cleaned. The biggest downturn was that when we walked out on the balcony, no city view!! There was a large tree blocking all of the view and a hornets nest was buried into the doorway where the hornets swarmed when you walked out. This was extremely frustrating because when it was brought to the front desks attention, they sent someone up to take down the nest, but they stated no one who has ever stayed in that room complained about the lack of view or the massive tree there. No accommodations were made despite the cost of the hotel room. In addition, they were extremely low staffed and despite the nightly valet fee, we had to park/pick up our own car from the garage because the front desk clerk did not want to valet and the valet wasnt working that night. So frustrating. The best part of the stay was the PI Bar and Grill; that is all.
I stayed here recently for a little over a week and it was truly one of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed at. It was updated but still had all the historic charm, also very clean. But my reason for leaving this review was for the staff 100%. They went above and beyond, every single person I had an encounter with was exceptional. Give them a raise, because they deserve it! Thank you for making my family feel welcome, and I will absolutely recommend this place to friends and family in the area!
This is our third stay at the Partridge Inn. It is a grand old hotel and we are glad that it has been restored to its historic luxury. It is clean, the beds are comfortable and there are electronics plug-ins in multiple places so its not difficult for two or more people to charge all of their phones and computers. We have had dinner at the restaurant and the food is always very good to excellent and the staff is accommodating and pleasant. The rooftop lounge has an area under AC as well as an outside deck with a gorgeous view of the city. We enjoyed the welcoming vibe of Augusta, too. They have several museums including an art museum that had many thought provoking and beautiful pieces. There are small independent shops and restaurants and a very cool vintage record store. We will back for a long weekend so we can take in more of the city and we will return to the Partridge Inn.
Warm welcoming southern hotel. Amazing staff and good amenities. We loved that the hotel restaurant and bar were well separated. And the rooftop bar had great views over the city at night.Drinks were good, good liquor selection and good drink princing as well at the rooftop. Parking with a direct walk-up to the hotel lobby was nice. And easy access to the pool and fitness facilities.
This is an old and historic building. It may have been beautiful in its prime, but time and weather have not been kind to this building. Its leaning, uneven, cracked, has gaps and is missing pieces, like gutters, and more.During our stay, the staff were wonderful and attentive and the food was decent. No issues with Hilton service here. The issues are with the building maintenance and quality. Some of it coming with being an old building and out of the control of staff. But some in control of the maintenance team. With humid environments, come roaches. We had some in the hall outside our room. In the bathroom, the shower ceiling has black mold growing visibly and you can see where its been previously treated but it keeps returning due to poor ventilation. The toilet seat was loose. An easy fix. But the floor in our room was uneven, resulting in the leaning just enough to make it uncomfortable and back hurting the next day from constantly trying not to slide off in our sleep. The old walls are thin and slamming doors and loud voices from the room next door woke us up at 6am. The hallway had a fire alarm chirp- like a battery out on the smoke detector. This was resolved immediately upon report. The roof top patio has a beautiful view, the buiding has a lot of charm and character but overall needs a lot of work. The 2 stars is for the roaches and mold.
The bed in our room was comfortable but the room had minimal amenities, the bathroom was too small (no place to put clean clothes but on the toilet seat), poorly restocked and shower had mold and a bar of used soap in the soap dish. And, the room itself was rather drab. Bottomline...it could use an upgrade. The hotel could also use a place to buy sundries like sunscreen, That being said, we did love the charm of this historic hotel, its location, the roof top bar was a great place for a drink and the food at the restaurant was very good.
Positive: It was beautiful and historic, located in a residential area. The pool area was beautiful. You felt like you were walking into the past. Restaurant (s) on site. Fantastic place Negative: As this is an old hotel (think pre 1950s) the rooms were designed in clusters and you can hear the neighbors a bit. I just imagined I had gone back in time. This place is great.
Myself and one of my friends went there to celebrate her birthday and when I say we really enjoyed ourselves we did. The food was good. She had the shrimp & grits and I had the duck fat fried chicken. The amount of food was great for the price. Our waiter Juan was very knowledgeable when it came to recommendations with ordering from the menu. They also had a band there. So it was good food, good music along with a pleasant atmosphere. We will most definitely be going back for our girls night out.... Just dont order the sweet potato souffle, it wasnt good at all.... Juan didnt suggest that ad a recommendation as a side ...
I have stayed at this property a number of times and I would typically give this hotel, at least, a 4-star rating. This trip was not as highly rated due to the check-in (waiting 1.5 hrs for a room), housekeeping (didnt receive any), and dining (service was nonexistent and food was sub-par) experiences. I will say, the staff is always pleasant and tries to be accommodating and the rooms are comfortable.
Charged triple for room due to desk personnel not knowing what they were doing, took weeks to rectify. 50% of rate for a “resort fee”? What a ripoff, not a resort hotel. $9.50 for parking in top of resort fee. Loud band playing in the dining room, ruined a desired quiet evening. Rooftop lounge, took 40 minutes to get a drink, only one person attending customers. Very poor overall experience. Would not return.
Beautiful hidden gem. The staff is not that efficient. I asked them to call my parents room to tell them I arrived and she claimed she couldnt find them in the system. The second shift staff had an attitude because they asked for water upon return from the outside. The staff needs more customer service training. This hotel does not meet the Hilton Hotel family standards.
Historic Inn with modern updates. Due to COVID, room service was available only upon request and we had a spider web along with a spider in our room. The balcony was HUGE (about the size of our room minus the bathroom... take that how you want to.) We were on the 5th floor and had a decent view of the road and the city area. The restaurant was nice... we didnt eat there but they had live music and dancing which was cool. They roof top bar and indoor roof areas were in spacious and inviting.
It took a while to get my food. The fried chicken wasnt seasoned at all, but everything was great when I added Tabasco to the chicken. I had that duck fat fried chicken. It came w mac and cheese and collard greens. They should add a piece of Mexican cornbread and give more pot liquor w the greens. Nice band and vibes though. My company made it worth while more than anything else. The bartender was weird lol
0 should be the amount of stars they get! They sent a last minute email saying the hotel was going to be under renovation and closed during the dates I had already made a reservation and paid for. The city is hosting an event exactly during those dates, which Im attending. I called the hotel to cancel, as they said to do in their email, and the lady at the front desk hand up the phone because she was too worried about me being upset rather than providing good customer service, cancelling my reservation, and making sure I was getting a full refund immediately. I had to go through Hiltons customer service line, which is not even in the US, and explain that the cancellation was without penalty because the hotel decided to close. The guy at the customer service, extremely helpful, but was explaining that my rate was non-refundable; lets see if I see a refund in the next few days or will have to contact the bank directly.
The room and premises are nice, so if you are able to just be in and out with no considerations this hotel will be fine for you. If, however, you have to deal with management, you will not find a worse experience anywhere. Upon my departure, I realized that I had left some clothing in my closet. I called, filled out the form to have my clothes shipped, and was assured that they would be shipped the next time the manager came in. It has been 3 weeks, two escalations to corporate (both times the manager assured corporate that they were “on their way to FedEx right now”). With no end in sight, it is looking like I am going to have to take legal action.
Randomly received an email that my reservation was cancelled due to remodeling. I had booked this hotel months prior. The email mentioned other hotels but none of those they mentioned had rooms. Also a phone number they provided to call for Expedia connected with a medical alert services company. Why not inform guests of this potential inconvenience earlier? I doubt a remodeling was booked so suddenly. This is very unfortunate and reflects very poorly on a previously reputable property. Very disappointed and warning to those who choose to try and room here
The hotel was beautiful and the staff was amazing. The reason Im only giving 3 stars is because the breakfast staff needs some help... Two days in a row my breakfast was messed up. The server was slow, it took 20 minutes to get a coffee refill, I didnt get what I ordered. Im pretty sure I recieved someone elses order and when I told the waitress she told me she was still going to be charged for the breakfast I didnt get. Thats day one... Day two breakfast. After placing our orders my children got their breakfast at a reasonable amount of time. My wife got her food about 15 minutes later, thats when the waiter told me that it was going to be a few more minutes for my breakfast. 15 more minutes and no coffee refill, my children and wife has completed their food and I still have no food... I asked for the food and beverage manager. I have never asked for a manager before. Well I guess they didnt want to talk to me.So dont expect a good breakfast.
I didnt stay here because when I called in to book a room for 2 nights to visit the area and break up our trip to Florida I asked politely, is this hotel family-friendly? (aka does it have a pool, and is it upscale or relaxed?) because I have 2 young girls and didnt want to be out of place - I dont know the area at all. The concierge (if you can even call it that) replied, yea, most hotels are. in the most impolite way possible. I had just shown my wife pictures too, and we were excited to stay. Will be booking elsewhere now, and will try again when customer service improves.
The air conditioning was really loud and rattled all night. One of the shades was broken so I couldn’t close it all the way, leaving a 3 foot gap under the curtain that anyone could see into because it looked out onto a community patio, the amenities clearly said there was a hairdryer in the room. There wasn’t. I called down to the desk and was told that they don’t have any. Definitely not worth the over $200 I paid for one night.
As an Augusta native, I was looking forward to my trip to stay at The Partridge Inn, however, this was one of the absolute WORST stays I have experienced. The customer service was absolutely horrendous. DO NOT STAY HERE. The price does not reflect the service that you will receive. I understand that COVID has influenced the services that are available, however I just recently stayed in Chicago at another Hilton property and had zero issues. Upon arrival our room was not very clean, it was clear the floors had not been vacuumed. We were told during check-in that housekeeping was going to be limited. We were fine with that, but it took 30 minutes to get anything brought to our room. We booked this hotel to have room service and eat on the balcony. Don’t even think about it. Room service was advertised but then was not an option. They barely have any type of service. They do not answer the phone to fulfill simple requests to provide more towels. We called the front desk multiple times and the phone was never answered, which required us to wait in line at the front desk to request more towels, shampoo, toilet paper, etc. While waiting in line the phone was ringing non-stop as one staff member was at the desk and a second staff member remained in the office and would not come out to assist. Our room had a broken air conditioner that leaked and spilled on the balcony and loudly turned on and off during the night. After having one of the worst nights of sleep our first night, we were finally settling in to a nice sleep our second night when the fire alarm went off at 1 AM and there was not a staff person in sight for the hotel. The staff is horrendously unhelpful and disorganized. Do not book this hotel. Save your money.
I will give the restaurant staff 10 stars. Wonderfully friendly, genuinely kind, and very accommodating. As for the stay it was in the top 2 worst hotel stays in my business travels. My room was not ready at check in, the front desk staff were rude and had no idea what and why rooms had not been cleaned or ready for check in. I ended up in a room with a tiny 4 ft but 4 ft shower, no dorm fridge, a room that may have been 10 x 10, and on and on. At check out the desk clerk refused to give me a receipt because I interrupted her in the middle of doing her books. Excuse me, I require a reciept for my expense reports. Great place to eat, terrible place to stay.
No Room&RoachesAfter a 9 hour journey in a car we wanted to split our trip up to our final destination. Thought this would be a good place...nope. Arrived at 7, we were told that our room still wasn’t ready and that we would need to wait. Asked to speak to a manager, “ manager is not available”. After going to find food, (after we asked for a discount or something towards dinner since Our room wasn’t ready we were also denied) oh my 6 month old son is with us and he hasn’t had anywhere to stretch and lay out. And by 7 we assumed our room would be ready. He’s tired of being cooped up so we are dealing with that as well. We FINALLY get called at 845 and told our rooms are ready. GREAT. get there and unpack getting ready for bed and turn off the lights....... my wife sees a monster cockroach. One of those ones you usually find on the water. Almost 2 inches long. We chase it around the room trying to kill it. Finally we do. No one at desk picks up. I’m tired my wife is tired. Screw this place and the horse it road in on!!!!!
Love the charm and amenities of this boutique hotel. Feels like you’re on the set of Leo DeCaprio’s “The Great Gatsby”. The customer service was phenomenal. Danielle Douglas made our stay unbelievable and our departure awful because we didn’t want to leave. Looking forward to returning very soon, and enjoying the great cuisine, cool patio views, and class meets modern chic ambiance.
My friends and I booked two rooms at the partridge inn for a wedding and arrived an hour past check in and neither room were ready….. was told our room was 219 with no direction so we went to the second floor to look for our room for someone to say “oh yeah that room is really hard to find”…. Arrive to our room, which was behind the kitchen and smelled horribly of fish to be greeted by a bathroom with BLOOD and muddy footprint on the floor. We changed rooms for our second room to still not be ready and 8 people had to get ready in one room. At 5:30 our second room just ready right in time for us to leave. When we got back we realized the second room had no towels and no sheets for the pull out couch and the other room had no MATTRESS for the pull out couch! The front desk ladies were doing their best and were very nice but there are major problems at this hotel. With all of these problems we were offered no discount and they actually tried to charge us more for a room upgrade after the bloody bathroom. Hilton really should not put its name on this hotel, from my experience at least.
Absolutely awful experience at this hotel. On top of the mold in the shower and carpet that makes the room smell terrible, the service is horrendous. The staff is uninformed and uninterested. We had the valet give us our keys and told us to go to the parking lot and try to look for our car with no directions whatsoever to get there and after we had called ahead of time letting them know we were going to need the car. His response was that he was busy. They told us we could do late check out at 2 pm so we had planned our day around that time and then came to the room at 12 and unapologetically kicked us out. Needless to say we wont be going back
Great rooftop bar/lounge, and great culinary experience in the hotel restaurant. The poor housekeeping experience (soiled sheets and towels left on the hallway floor for hours after I checked in, and dead bugs in the overhead light fixtures) made this hotel experience less than desirable.
Extremely loud. A/C was so loud in the middle of the night that I had to turn it off just to get any sleep. That got me a couple of hours of sleep until the temperature got up over 80 degrees. When I shared this issue politely with the front desk at check out, the front desk agent immediately became argumentative, saying that I should have called down to have maintenance fix the issue or relocate. You can hear everything through the walls as well. It was a very, very restless night. Despite the issues with sleeping, as of June 2021, the hotel is not allowing any late check-out whatsoever, not even an extra hour, despite Diamond status. It seems to me that the hotel added the Hilton banner in order to try to get more business travelers but isnt respecting Hilton loyalty status. Very disappointing stay.
The place could use some updates to the exterior in places. Cute front to the place and nice place to eat on the patio. The AC in our suite was not in the bedroom but in the outer are which made for a warm night. I was glad to have brought my own fan. Decent bed and fit our family ok.
I have been to my fair share of hotels, from upscale to very sketchy. While The Partridge Inn is a beautiful hotel, what it has in character it severely lacks in service and amenities. For such an upscale and pricey hotel, you get charged for everything! 10 bucks to park at the hotel? How is that not included!!!??? Talk about privileged! Our hotel is so amazing that we charge our guests for the privilege to park there! And then you have to pay for breakfast, unless you are some sort of higher level cardholding guest. What???As for service, most of the people there could care less that we were there to check in. We were told we could check in early, but the room wasnt ready. Okay, I can live with that. But when the room wasnt ready at check in time, whats the deal? And then we were told someone would come get us when the room was ready. 20 minutes later when we go to the desk to see whats taking so long, we get told the rooms been ready for the past 10 minutes! As for the room itself, it was decent. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable. The bathroom seemed like it was being renovated with missing tiles. The shower drain had a bad clog and the basin could have used some no slip pads because it felt so slippery.I find it hard to believe that this is the official hotel of the Augusta Heritage golf tournament. People that go there must be so wealthy that they dont mind paying for every service. They must also have help that does all the check in so they dont have to deal with the lackluster customer service.Overall, I must say I have had better experiences at Days Inn or Holiday Inn Express than The Partridge Inn and paid half the price. The only reason I fave this place 1 star was due to its beauty, but beauty should relate to the whole experience, but sadly The Partridge Inn fails in that area across the board.
I came here not too long ago. Perfect sized crowd, good menu of foods, and extremely comfortable beds. I had the best sleepover ever there. I hope to come back soon, even though the walls need some touching up, but this place is a bit old, but thats okay. Thank you to the employees working there, you all are very kind.
The Patridge Inn is a historical hotel in a nice area of Augusta. The Hotel itself is attractive on first impression, but fails to capture your heart, as you dive into its historic halls. It has not been well preserverd. A historical hotel such as this one, should be maintained and kept at its best standards. The bathrooms are OK. Really dysfunctional design that does not allow you to feel comfortable. The restaurant and the rooftop are without a doubt the highlight of this hotel.Unfortunately, our night was interrupted by a couple, screaming and fighting to the point where we requested to be moved to another room. At first, they were reluctant to give us a new room, unless we downgraded to a Queen room. After the police showed up to solve the situation, they suddently seemed to have a King room with balcony available. No vouchers, no coupons, just a vague apology from a gentleman in the front desk.Think about it twice before staying here. There are better options in Augusta, such as the Hyatt Hotel in Downtown Augusta. This hotel, does not pay justic to the Collection adjective and the otherwise decent chain of Hilton Hotels.
Our server Stephanie was just so amazing, she was incredibly knowledgeable about all kinds of things and fabulously entertaining. She could be concierge! The food was some of the best Ive had. I CAN cook and the dishes here are absolutely magnificent! I will be back. Thank you Stephanie for the amazing experience.
We were only there for one night and had the worst night ever. Between the staff, the cleanliness of the room, and they poir maintenance of the suite it was a complete disaster.Asked for a room away from noise in the elevator and instead I got a suite right above the pool on the second floor and it was so loud at 8:30 in the morning. Also anytime we tried to call the hotel we couldnt even get anyone to answer the phone.
I booked a king bed with a balcony room via the Hilton app. Upon arrival I found my reservation had changed and I was placed in room with a rattling AC unit with no balcony. At least the bed was comfortable. Unfortunately, the food service slow and the overall a poor experience. This is a huge disappointment due to the fact I had wanted to stay here since I was a boy. In essence I paid for four star money but received a cheap motel experience.
The walls are super thin. I could hear everything coming from the other rooms and hallway. They charged us tax and fees TWICE, a daily parking fee that was not disclosed in the time of booking. In addition, an additional $50 was charged on our credit card without consent or authorization and has now been reported as fraud. The room had a foul odor and the walls looked like they were under renovation.
Beautiful inn with nice amenities. Enjoyed the rooftop bar and the restaurant meal was delicious! The prices were a little high for drinks and dinner, but worth the experience. Loved sitting outside on the balcony for dinner, even in the rain. Heaters on balcony kept us cozy!
Such a beautiful place here in Augusta Georgia. Great place for date night on the penthouse roof bar. Not just masters Week but any week of any month of the year. Augusta does not have a more beautiful spot to view from an amazing rooftop. Nostalgia is all over the place. Tameka and Lauryn offer pleasant, professional service. You totally experience peaceful enjoyment in a laid back relaxing atmosphere. They make sure they deliver ultimate hospitality in their house. Large screen TV, in front of an amazing fire pit. The food is best of the best. My favorite is the shrimp. Yes it is an old, historic building, but it is a part of the endurance that this city has gone through. Gotta love it. Vince make sure that all guest feel at home. What else can I say? Pictures are always better than words. Peace ✌ is what you get here. The chef is tops. Ive never gotten a steak or lobster that wasnt prepared to perfection. Not a pocket breaker. But well worth your bucks. Generous portions delivered. If you are looking for great service with the understanding that this is and older building and everything is not as modern as usual. But it is clean, staff attended to make your stay comfortable and pleasant, check in, lay back, and have a fantastic stay at Augusta Georgia Historical Partridge INN.
Lovely historic hotel in a beautiful neighborhood up on a ridge. When I checked in, I was thrilled to learn I had a front room with a balcony. The perfect place to learn to knit after tasty dinner in the restaurant. Staff very hospitable in the hotel and restaurant. Bed comfortable and a nice gym. Enjoyed the retro furniture, felt a bit like a B&B experience.
Our hallway smelt like pure fish. Our room was right outside the kitchen. They could only give us 2 towels for 4 people staying in the room. The 5 star restaurant served us cold and extremely salty food and a bunch of young kids were outside smoking weed everywhere. Not what I expected for the price I paid
Sat at the bar on a Sunday night, and had amazing service! Mike (David) was an excellent bartender and created such an amazing atmosphere for us here. Overall, had an outstanding time and many memories made! Would definitely recommend, especially if Mike (David) is bartending.
Room A/c not working properly, water heater had bottom element burned out so only one person could have a quick shower. Dining, although food we ate was good, service was terrible for both breakfast and dinner. One hour in morning for grits and eggs, two hours for dinner. Four star prices for a two star service.
Pros: Nice, clean suite and layout.Cons: Toilet was broken and when we called for maintenance, it never got fixed. Also, me and my family left early in the morning to adventure out and when we got back to our room at 3:00 pm, our room had yet to be cleaned. After we called the front desk twice and 2 hours later, someone finally came. Too much money for the poor service that we received.
The atmosphere and history of the hotel makes it worth dealing with the challenge of staying in a older building. The bed was verycomfortable and the restaurant was wonderful! They took safety measures and practiced social distancing, which isnt the norm in Augusta and I appreciated it. My favorite part was the meal and thr lady who took care of us! Stephanie was the best!
This hotel is literally one of the most underrated hotel I’ve been to. My husband and I arrived around midnight on Friday night-early Saturday morning. The gentleman at the front desk was swift with getting us our room key. When we walked into the room, we were surprised on how clean and fresh it was. The bed was comfortable! The shower was huge and the bathroom had great lighting. My husband and I went up to the penthouse on Saturday night. The view was beautiful, the patio furniture was comfortable and the climate up there was welcoming. The bartender was wonderful and made great drink suggestions. They also changed the propane tanks for the heaters in a timely manner so no one would get cold. Sunday morning we went to the breakfast and the variety was pretty great. The staff that assisted us had very positive attitudes and were friendly. It was overall a very postive experience. I would definitely stay here again!
My room wasnt ready when I showed up in the late afternoon, so they gave me another one. It was small and had a slanted floor, but thats not the worst part. I came in from work the next evening and my toilet was filled with toilet paper and was clogged. I Knew there probably wasnt a maintenance person working that late, so I used the restaurant bathroom and told the front desk person the next morning about my toilet. She said she would send somebody up to fix it. I come back later that evening and its still not fixed. So, since it was my last night I used the restaurant bathroom again.
Noise and service issues. My King suite room had a very noisy HVAC closet. Couldnt sleep. Called reception and they promised maintenance visit to see what they could do. After 30 minute wait i decided to just turn the whole unit off and open the windows. Phoned reception again to cancel the maintenance and they said fine. 15 minutes later knock on door and its maintenance. Explained I cancelled and she says no one told her. Sheesh.Arrive for Breakfast in the 2nd floor restaurant at 9.55am and am told kitchen is closed. Arggg. Not impressed. Nice looking hotel but service not so much.
The pool is stunning and quiet. I imagine the rooftop bar is beautiful, but it was closed on Sunday when we went. It’s open from 5-10 so go early. It boasts views of all of Augusta. The beds are some of the best I’ve slept in. The tv did not work well in our room, but we were not there long so we didn’t bother trying to get it serviced. There was jazz on the second floor when we arrived late at night. I forgot my toothpaste and they were out, so don’t forget that. It is a beautiful old hotel that was originally owned by the governor of Georgia and whom was one of the singers of the Declaration of Independence. We had breakfast at the Metro Diner and it was great. They serve breakfast all day. I had the crab cake Benedict. The fruity waffle and bacon, egg, and cheese croissant looked good as well. We went downtown and walked along the river front. My friend who used to live here suggested a walk along the canal instead of riverfront as well. I didn’t know until we left they have still have a drive in theater and the miller and imperial theaters are old retro theaters downtown that have plays and concerts. We would like to come back for that.
Wonderful property with an excellent rooftop bar. Staff were exceptional during this short stay. The room is slightly tired even with this being such an old property. I will be coming back to Augusta several times in the next year and will certainly choose The Partridge Inn!
Older hotel and property. Rooms are distinctive and unique. Property reminds me of an older southern home. The rooms are clean and semi-quite depending on your location on the floor. The restaurant has excellent dishes and service is very good. I like eating outside on the porch during the warm weather.
We stayed at the partridge inn at the start of October 2019, and we were very disappointed with the hotel. Don’t get me wrong the staff was excellent; they were very nice and polite. But the hotel was musty, as in moisture, as in Mold. It was also very structurally unsound; our bed was propped up by a wedge and generally the floors were not flat. Which made the desk creak every time we walked. They try to cover it up with sprays all throughout the halls but it doesn’t cover the smell... it was imbedded in our clothes but worse we ended up with a cold from the mold as I’m quite sensitive. I also found a hornets nest outside my window. Which I did tell the staff about, and they moved us to a room where the two was broken and it was missing a few other things. We spent a lot of money per night to wreak of must and be honestly super disappointed. We could’ve saved money and got a much more relaxing experience. Not impressed.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here! This is a beautiful historic hotel, that unlike a lot of historic hotels, is in great shape. The renovations were done beautifully! We stayed in a king room and it was spacious and very clean. The bed was probably the best hotel bed Ive ever slept on. The staff was warm and friendly and breakfast was delicious. The only complaint was the shelf in the bathroom made it difficult to use the sink but that is minor. We would definitely recommend staying here!
This is a beautiful building in a great part of Augusta. However both the room quality and especially the quality of management were very poor to me. I booked two rooms. One was not ready at check in time. The quality of the rooms was underwhelming, like a rush job aging motel update. Valet and baggage assistance was abandoned. After we moved everything ourselves someone came out and asked if we needed help. Several other basic functions from hotel management were mishandled, botched, or were high effort on my part. I really wanted to find a premier hotel in Augusta and thought this was it because of the price, but this was a good example to me of very poor value and management not prioritizing customer experience. I planned this trip months in advance to attend a wedding. Unfortunately I canceled my reservation after dealing with check in and seeing the rooms and booked at a different hotel in downtown Augusta.
Positive: The southern charm and porches to sit and have a drink or dinner on. Negative: There were multiple issues w/ this hotel.I was given a room down a small very cluttered hallway that I had to go past the electrical room, the laundry services. When I reached my room, it was unlocked, the TV was on & there were blinds rod & junk leaning
This is THE place to stay in Augusta for a variety of reasons. For one thing, its a well renovated 1830s structure. They have an amazing bar and a Sunday brunch. Many rooms have a view to downtown since the Hotel sits upon The Hill . Curio runs it now, so obviously a higher level of service can he expected than other brands in the market. The beds were sumptuous, and it used to be very pet friendly, although I dont know current pet policy. Google maps ought to have that built into hotel listings!
Very disappointed in quality of room, known issues with inability to operate TV. Maintenance said they have 50 new TVs in storage. Sink cabinet falling apart. Business center not operating (Uniguest service) due to unpaid bill. As part of Curio Collection owned by Hilton, I would expect better maintenance while maintaining historic character.
Nice view but not a very nice hotel.Leaky shower; stains on floor; slanted floors in room and balcony; UNSAFE balcony rail with missing poles and barely connected to the wall; balcony door & bathroom door dont stay closed; some windows missing areas of tinting; 2 wasp nests on balcony ceiling; blinds & shades barely work; cracks in the ceiling; mini fridge barely worked; ceiling was leaking; no insulation for noise, you can hear everything in the hallway outside the door. The hotel looks nice from the outside, but is not very nice on the inside.Got the cops called on our room because of a noise complaint for just sitting on the balcony having a regular conversation, even though other guests were louder and could be heard walking in the halls/talking/getting ice. Pool was drained and unusable. Staff kept telling us the restaurant & bar would be open the next day, but after 3 days they never opened so unfortunately we could not go.Im very glad the nights we stayed were at a discounted price because I WOULD NOT pay full price for this hotel. Save your money and go somewhere better. Definitely will not be staying here again.
Stayed in the hotel for only a few days but had to leave due to issues during my stay. I checked late at night. If you care for safety this is not the place to stay.Pros:-First off the staff was polite and understanding. No issues with anyone there.-Check in was easy and the area looked greatCons:- Stains on carpets-Water for the shower did not get hot enough-Poor Customer service and poor care for safe of people staying-No microwave. When asked for one I was told it would be brought up to my room in the morning. Got a phone call and all. No one showed. Next day no one showed. On the third day someone brought it up.-What made me leave is that my manual lock on the door. The one on top was broken. I had no way to lock my door. If someone had a key they could walk right in. I brought it up to the attention of the staff. They told me someone would be up there in the morning. Called my room phone and asked what time they could fix it. No one showed. Next day, no one showed. Took 3 days to fix. I stayed to make sure they actually fixed it. The lack of caring about safety means alot to me. If they do not care for it I do not care to ever come back to the hotel.
Went to the PH floor for the rooftop bar. Furst time here gad to circle the bldg to get a parking spot and walked around corner and up to rooftop bar. Sat in a corner around past TV and it started to get warm. Dirty glasses around so went to window that was open for var. Ordered two drinks, marvelous, strong Long Island Ice Teas. It kept getting warmer as sun set so we finished and left. Nice bartender but will come back when its cooler with service at table. Nice area and will be back.
Beautiful hotel. Always wanted to stay here. The rooftop bar is amazing. Room was large and beautifully decorated. Parking deck was a nice touch. Only thing that was a small disappointment was the bar was closed by 12 on a Saturday which is ok. We went out to a local spot. But also the Breakfast wasn’t what I was expecting. Good. But nothing to write home about. That’s why I didn’t give them 5. Expected more as far as food and beverage. Still. Great experience. Highly recommended
Five. Stars for Stephanie our server she was from Italythe service was excellentWe ordered a bottle of wine Twomey merlot the price on the menu said it was 65.00 Stephanie the server came back to the table to tell us that the bottle of wine was priced in the computer at 85.00 she apologized she was so kind and felt bad so. We told her not to stress about we felt so bad for her . i do not understand how this could happen or why a manager or supervisor did not come over to our table ti explain why we being charged 85..00 when the menu stated 65.00We did not let that ruin our experienceThe duck that Stephanie recommended was excellentMy friend had fried chicken it was good as well.Stephanie went over the deserts we did not plan on ordering dessert but she talk us into it after she explained them to us they sounded so goodWe said we would split oneWe ordered pecan pie with vanilla ice creamStephanie came back to explain they had no vanilla ice creamSo she said why dont you get the chocolate cake with mint chocolate chip ice cream the chocolate cake is wonderful she talked us into itStephanie came back to the table to tell us there was no chocolate chip ice cream. We felt so bad for Stephanie again no manager came to our table to apologize or check on our experience.
Some parts of this hotel were really nice. It had a good rooftop bar and the front desk was very pleasant. The hotel itself is older and those coming for golf or history would enjoy some of the unique history and offerings. The rooms were quite spartan and although some upgrading was done, it still lacked. My air conditioner could not get the room below 75 until the sun went down and when maintenance came to look at it they tried to tell me it was because the thermostat had motion sensors (I had been in the room several hours by then). The shower was also incredibly small. All said I think for those taking pleasure travel may enjoy this hotel more. Also for those that may have some mobility issues the floors have a few stairs up and down to different levels so be aware to ask for a room without stairs if this is a concern for you.
I honestly can’t say enough how friendly and helpful the staff was. 2 very nice things happened. The first is that one of the ladies at the front desk, named Kiki, went out of her way to move our room to the bottom floor even before I had to ask. We (My husband and I) were on the very top floor and having a problem with the air conditioning. We asked if someone could look at it while we went to dinner. We came back and it was fixed as far as the heat going down a little, but I think the top floors are just naturally hotter, so I called the front desk to ask if I could switch rooms to the bottom floor. Kiki answered and told me that she already reserved me the bottom floor in case I was still too warm. She did it while I was at dinner. I LOVE that! She made the switch so comfortable and easy. And then at dinner, on the next night, we went to the hotel restaurant. It was officially our anniversary. We sat down and ordered drinks and realized that the menu posted online is not what the new menu was. We had only just ordered a cocktail, so we decided to let the waitress know we would only be having drinks. She covered our drink cost, didn’t give us a bill, and said Happy Anniversary. And the way it all unfolded was SO sweet. I wish I got her name. Overall I’m very happy with our stay there. The staff truly added to the specialness of our anniversary trip.
Very unique. They opened up the roof top suite for everyone the night we stayed there. Beautiful views with an awesome lightning show. We got a king suite with balcony that looked over the pool. My wife and I sat out out there until 1:30 am having a few drinks and listening to the cicadas. The staff strives very hard to make sure youre happy. Actually, this is the friendliest staff you will find. Everyone, including housekeeping wanted to make sure we were enjoying our stay. Loved the restaurant too. Had a fresh breakfast with Crab Benedict and luscious local fruit.
The hotel is nice but appears to be a little dated. Stayed in a king room with balcony. Room was spacious and comfortable. The bed and pillows were amazing! Definitely the best part of the hotel. The breakfast buffet was good with a decent but not large amount of selection. The roof top bar has a great view but limited selection on drinks.
Great weekend, great hotel. Restaurant is great, though the lunch is slim on choices. However, the breakfast was excellent. Beds were comfortable, balcony was beautiful and large. Was in the room when housekeeping came and they brought us towels but never came back to make the beds or put trash bags back into the cans. All in all it was great.
I stayed here for the “When in Rome” effect In the city... plus the upstairs lounge overlooking Augusta... It really is a hit or miss property, as the reviews reflect.First stay I had a suite that I had to fight for as a Diamond upgrade... Enjoyable. Three drink coupons.Second I tried to be lax and accept my “upgrade” to a balcony room - Half the room’s power didn’t work, and the AC was almost shot... I changed rooms. To their credit, the staff are trying to get a grip on things. The maintenance guy literally replaced the AC in the room that night. Plus ONE coupon this time. *consistent*They do have a decent staff. The Manager was ultimately my issue.Breakfast downgraded their menu very recently. I ended up getting the buffet 9/10 times because service is sporadic - buffet is always the same. What gave me a bad taste is that as a Marriott guy, I’m very used to flexibility with schedules... The Partridge declined my early checkout at 5:30pm when I found out I could go home early from work... when two weeks earlier they did the same as a “Diamond Courtesy...” One night stay to them was worth two more weeks for me and two others that canceled and opted for the Marriott. We never have to deal with schedule conflicts with Marriott status. The front desk was literally discussing their occupancy at 40% when I checked in - No Wonder.I don’t know why they have a valet... parking is never full onsite.Hilton needs to revamp their rewards/honors. No consistency... No differentiation...All this visibility for not “honoring” an early checkout, Partridge!
Historic location. In the Summerville area of Augusta. One of the oldest hotels in the southeast of the United States. Room service. Shuttle service. Private security.Jack Nicklaus sweet as a great view and is great for parties and receptions. The place is a little understaffed due to the fact I think quality employees are hard to find these days. Seems like they should do another remodel and put the pool inside. But overall its a great place. I would recommend staying there if you have never stayed
Wow where to start: We had our small wedding reception here:1) The catered food was great! The issue: They didnt refill the food..not even one time. The guy who checked on it just said that he would check with the chef. If you have seen their catering prices you pay about 5 times what the actual food is worth. To expect superior service is not unfair especially for a wedding reception. It was quite embarrassing that the food went empty 30 minutes into everyone getting there and was never refilled. They did manage to bring a tray of crab cakes about 1.5 hours later but a-We didnt order that and b-Many guests had left at this point. Too little too late.2) We rented the awesome penthouse. This is the only reason it is not a 1 star rating. It is a glorious room that overlooks Augusta and is probably the best view in the city.3) The lights and heater were not working for the entire night. They were unable to fix it and without apology, just left.4) When we went to them, after the honeymoon, with these issues, they agreed to refund half of the purchase price....fair enough and easy enough. They apologized and I feel I was treated well. Yet they still charged gratuity and taxes on the full purchase price instead of correcting that amount as well.5) The staff were friendly and I do not feel this was their fault. I feel management has a poor structure in place and does not have the right hand speaking to the left hand. There is not follow up for satisfaction and after bumbling something as big as a wedding reception, the refund was incorrectly adjusted.I would not recommend getting services such as catering here. I would recommend checking out the Penthouse, it and the friendly staff were the only redeeming qualities of this establishment.I would like to see this place succeed.
My worst experience ever at a Hilton. The staff did not wear masks. Even while talking to me in the lobby and at the restaurant. Including the restaurant manager and the front desk manager. I am not vaccinated and was on my way to visit my elderly parents and I am shocked to see this especially in a Hilton hotel. When I asked lobby staff to please speak to me with a mask on they refused and yelled at me, saying I was causing a disturbance. On top of all that, we were denied our free breakfast, the remote didn’t work, and there was someone’s old fish tacos in the mini fridge. I did run across a staffer, I believe housekeeping, who was wearing a mask. She saw someone in the hall and pulled down her mask to talk. The front desk people also said something like that. Like they couldn’t put their mask on because they would need to take it off to talk. Guys, PLEASE WEAR A MASK AND PLEASE KEEP IT ON WHILE YOU TALK TO GUESTS.
Now, I should preface that neither my husband nor I are strangers to hotels. We both regularly work with and stay in many for our jobs, along with Ive worked for a luxury hotel here in Savannah in the past. So we are not people to normally raise a fuss unless something is VERY wrong. We had originally booked the Celebration package for our stay and were disappointed to find out 15 minutes before we arrived that the package would not be able to be honored. Although disappointed, we understood as we knew that we would face closures still. Your desk agent was apologetic on arrival and did already change our rate before we asked, so we moved on as we were just excited to be getting out.But what we can not move past is the fact that our car was apparently left unlocked in your carport by the valet, and subsequently broken into. Upon arrival, we did choose to leave our car with your valet to park that night as we knew we werent going to move it and we trusted your staff to park it in a safe and secure spot. We checked into the hotel around 3:30pm on Sunday. We did not use or require access to our vehicle that evening, meaning the keys were in the hotels possession. When we checked out the following morning and had a different valet attendant retrieve the vehicle, we were concerned to see the vehicle pulled up with the passenger door slightly ajar and the glove compartment open, with its contents shuffled. At that point, I immediately returned to the front desk to address the issue, while my husband stayed with the car and took pictures to document the state it was in. Upon further inspection, the only things missing were a bandana that we were using as a face mask as well as an iphone charging cable that we had been using to connect our phones to the vehicle for navigation.Although we can say we were lucky that we had not left any belongings or valuables in the vehicle, I must admit that I am severely disappointed with the lack of accountability while we left our vehicle under your supervision, especially given the seemingly low occupancy at the hotel at the time.Furthering my disappointment, we have not received any response from management after reaching out. I unfortunately can not recommend staying in this hotel, as we would not stay here again ourselves.
First I would like to go on record and say that Toni, Shante, and James were ABSOLUTELY WONDERFUL!!! But the The Partridge was an absolute mess. Our check-in was over an hour late, my luggage was lost and didnt make it to my room until 45 minutes before the wedding rehearsal I was attending started, and the ceiling in our room leaked the entire time it rained. We had to use a trash can to collect the water.
Took my 92yo mother to brunch on a sat as this place held some special memories for her. The 1 star is only for the waitress. She was wonderful. I ordered the trout and the sauce it came with was too salty for me to even eat it. I told the waitress and she immediately offered another item on the Menu. I ordered the chicken and waffles. The chicken was good. However it was obvious the waffles had been heavily salted. It was shocked and even had my mother taste them to be sure. She took one bite and concurred. Im sorry someone in the kitchen felt the need to do that. We will never be back. I hope the waitress will be able to find a better job...one that has the betterment of the entire team in mind rather than their sissy hurt feelings
Hotel staff was outstanding. There are pros and cons to this being an old transformed mansion. The hotel and rooms are incredibly unique and not cookie cutter like modern hotels. The downsides are that the walls are thin, the windows dont seal well and let in outside noise, and the shower is good enough but leaves desires.
Cool hotel, great rooftop bar, parking structure was convenient for access to the hotel and the patio/porch off our room a nice place to relax. Located close to downtown, just a quick taxi ride to some good restaurants. Room was nicely renovated, suited the hotel style without sacrificing the character of the building. Would recommend if staying in Augusta.
This hotel is very nice. The rooms are unique. The food at the restaurant is always good. The staff is always very polite. The rooftop bar is a great place to unwind as it has a nice view and there has always been a slight breeze when Ive been up there. Would recommend.
Positive experience. Very unique hotel. No two rooms seem to be the same. Staff was fantastic. Only complaint was that our room was very warm during the day. Only had one vent in the room and one in the bathroom. AC was doing all it could but it was pretty uncomfortable if you had to be in the room during the day, especially getting ready for a wedding. If youre staying in the summer Id bring a fan.
Beautiful old hotel with great restaurant and facilities. Staff are very friendly and I was able to get a last minute manicure appointment during during a busy weekend. Location is within walling distance of some pretty good bars. On weekend evenings we found a very hip mixed crowd, with a surprising amount of visitors from abroad. The beautiful old lobby was transformed into this cozy, lively lounge with a roaring fire.
New to the area and was looking for something local, different, for just a night to get away and just relax. This place exceeded my expectations. I got a room with a balcony on the pool side. It was clean, relaxing and staff was super nice. I did end up ordering from the great menu, food was fantastic. I didnt know about the roof top bar until I arrived, amazing views! Augusta needs more of them. Would def. Come back for a staycation.
SCAM WARNING... The Sweeten your Stay $50/day credit is a scam. My family and I stayed at this hotel twice between Dec 2020 and Jan 2021. Both times we had to call and fight for our room credits, I even went to the front desk after the 2nd trip and they assured me it would be taken care of, but more than a month later, with many emails back and forth with Madalyn the sales manager, this is still NOT resolved. Its CRYSTAL CLEAR that is this is scam designed to trick customers. Im sure MANY people have had this same problem. In all my years of traveling for business and pleasure, this is officially be my first negative review of a properly. My time is worth much more than a $50 refund. I just hope that someone will read this and not make the same mistake we did. If you find yourself in the Augusta and need of a place to stay, book at another hotel. BUT.. with that said.. you MUST eat at the PI Bar and Grill. The food is exceptional !
Nice hotel probably better for weddings and events. The rooms are small and if you are a diamond member the breakfast is way better than most Hilton properties and its free. The front desk staff are great as are the staff at breakfast. The maid staff didnt do the greatest (didnt clean my toilet for two days, I put the garbage can in the middle of the floor to catch a leak that started after a severe storm and two days later when I checked out they hadnt moved or emptied it. The rooftop bar is really nice but make sure they arent having an event or it may be closed to guests. The decor is a little too modern for the building. I would have gone a little classic.
Nothing luxury about it at all. We picked one room but were given a different. One of the two beds was in the living room rendering this room useless. The bathroom was tiny. Only one person could fit at a time. The only shelf in the bathroom was right over the sink. Cant tell you how many times I hit my head washing my face. The HVAC outdoor units for the hotel were right outside our window. Something was wrong with one the final night and the noise kept me up until about 3:00am. We had to ask for things more than once (like to have our room cleaned). We will NOT be going back here.
We are diamond members and stay often at many hotels throughout the U.S. This was the first time I’ve ever walked into a room and then chose to leave. We pulled up and waited for Valet and no one came...Room smelled like urine.. went to open window shade and it was inoperable and looked in bathroom and found that there was no toilet paper. Many stains on carpet as well. We didn’t feel comfortable staying so immediately left and went and stayed at the Hilton Harden Inn. Partridge Inn front desk staff assured us she would check us out and WE need to take of getting our HH points back. Turns out she did not check us out and after speaking to a representative at Hilton Honors, the hotel needs to be the one to generate the request to give the points back. Overall very dissatisfied.
Rooftop bar is great. The restaurant and bar on the 2nd floor is really nice also. Its an older building. My room was the smallest hotel room Ive ever seen. Too toilet paper. Bring your own. Great customer service. Before though, my bartender tipped herself 25 percent on $14 food pick up that I ordered. Even though I gave her a cash tip, for picking up my own food from my room.
Excellent hotel with very nice southern hospitality represented by the staff. This is a nice hotel with great history. The breakfast options were a bit limited, but the staff was very accommodating and friendly to offset the somewhat limited selection on the buffet. Eggs are cooked to order, so you can get whatever eggs you want. When they were out of pineapple, they cut some and brought it to me.
The rooms are gorgeous. The hotel is gorgeous! The food was delicious! The only complaint I have is the fact that the walls seem really thin. We were woken up multiple times throughout the night due to loud people talking out in the hallway and the room next to us. Other than that, it was gorgeous!
We attended the Sunday brunch for a family get-together. Overall the food was above average, average cost per person was around $35. I would recommend it again if you are in the mood for a mixture of classic southern breakfast and lunch items mixed together in a fresh Buffet. The servers were polite and the room was newly decorated. overall the experience was good, a little pricey for what was given to you but still adequate.
That place was not the best experience. The rooms are so close together you can hear your neighbors conversations. My room door had a huge crack that I could see my neighbor walk pass my room and Im sure he could see me. I had to stay here for a week because of business. But they did bring someone to fix it and he did. Still it should have never been an issue to begin with. The rooms a tiny but the bathrooms are neat looking. The battery in my remote was dying. The rooms need to be refreshed. Its that simple. Keep the old look and old smell if you must reserve history. But update the rooms as good as you do the bathrooms. And see about the floors they have bumps on the floors. Parking is confusing amd terrible. You can tell its old. When you walk down the halls its creepy I feel like Im the movie the Shining.
For a Curio Collection hotel, it was just average. There werent even USB ports in my room. Noise was bad in the halls and the person upstairs talked loudly we heard everything he said, and his phone was on speaker, and we could hear them too. And he never shut up until after 3am in the morning. We called the front desk but the guest never seemed to care or didnt get the message. He was a heavy walker who walked and talked. The staff on the other hand were fantastic. Great staff and James was the best! The balcony was the best thing. Loved the balcony! Will not stay here again though.
Great hotel to experience true southern culture and architecture. Yes, the building is dated and may need some renovation work in the future, but the rooms are spacious and well maintained. The most memorable are the staff from Asha, who helped us reserve our room to James, who greeted us at the entrance, took care of our luggage and shuttled us to and back from our restaurant, and the very respectful housekeeping staff.
Very unique rooms! Each of us had a different layout. Great restaurant as well. A minor complaint is the room didnt get as cold as I like but it was perfectly acceptable. And a note for anyone that has trouble with stairs most of the floors and some of the rooms have stairs that may preclude you from staying at this hotel.
We checked out this morning, mind you we were booked until monday, so 4 days at $250 a night, so spotting a roach crawing up the chair at the penthouse bar was the first strike, spotting a roach crawling up my white sheets to me was the last straw. Nope wont be back.
5 Star all the way! Hotel is up to date. Rooftop bar is outstanding, great view over Augusta. Restaurant is tremendous, sat out on the huge porch with authentic 1800s gas lights. Highly recommend!! As a Hilton Honors member, its a must stay if you are anywhere near Augusta.
The staff was fantastic, they forgot my recommendation but they fixed it, dinner was outstanding other than the portions were tiny.But.... breakfast Valentine’s Day morning was horrendous worse than a 2 star hotel breakfast. The only thing eatable was bran muffin and fruits! It was a nightmare! I love love breakfast it’s my favorite meal...The rooms are reasonable price and very nice!
Amazing stay! Had to give a shoutout to the awesome staff that made my sister and I feel so super safe and cared for. James was our great shuttle driver for the night, getting us to and fro with haste and jazzy music. Kiki and David were the spectacular front desk employees providing us with assistance and warm smiles!
Its well appointed and historic..the concierge desk could use some improvements and by improvement I mean its non existent...no one could give me recommendations for hair salons or restaurannts. The rooftop bar and PH are really nice and the bed is very comfortable. There are some dusty fixtures around the room and broken lampshades and air vents that need some house keeping attention
Overall it was a good stay. The restaurant on site wasnt the best but the staff was amazing and extremely friendly. The location was perfect. Plenty of good food within 10 minutes drive time. They were power washing everything, so I did constantly get dripped on while going from room to parking garage.
Great atmosphere and nostalgic hotel in Augusta. Great dinner menu and the food was top notch. Service was great during the meals and stay. Will make this my go to place to stay when working in town. Why stay at a regular box hotel when you can experience history and old school designs.
I am going to save my review for a later date.My wife, and I will give them another try at some point, and will review accordingly. It was just ok the 1st time outside of service. The staff was excellent overall.Give them a try when youre in Augusta, and decide for yourself.
The hotel itself was awesome, with that “old time feeling”, but we had to ask 3 times (in a 9hr span) for room service cleaning. On 3rd time, finally just waited for our towels, shampoo/conditioner/bar of soap, & toilet paper.I don’t like having to ask repeatedly for something that’s supposed to be done on the first ask; especially with how much it cost to stay here. So I wouldn’t recommend this hotel.
This is a totally and absolutely beautiful hotel. However, its a bit outdated and it could use some love from the Hiltons. I heard through the rumor mill that its scheduled for renovation sometime this year. I will definitely rebook with them after they renovate but not before.
My girlfriend and I are local to Augusta and wanted to treat ourselves to a little staycation to celebrate her birthday. We chose The Partridge Inn for our love of history and it’s charm. The Partridge Inn did not disappoint! We absolutely loved our stay from start to finish! The staff were amazing. Everyone was so kind and welcoming. We made our way to the Penthouse Bar and couldn’t believe we’d not been here before! Such an incredible view. We had dinner and breakfast in the restaurant and it was delicious. Our server made great recommendations for their shareable entrees which was so good and huge! Great bang for the buck! We slept in the next morning and made our way down to breakfast. My girlfriend had the salmon croquettes and even I was drooling across the table. We will certainly be back for drinks, for dinner, and will definitely be booking another staycation! Thank you Partridge Inn!!
I visited the Partridge for a Jazz event open to the public. Gorgeous ambience in the lobby with welcoming desk clerks, and the grill area was lovely, but the rooftop bar was a little lacking - no soap or paper towels. The bartender was very cordial; she was patient with my indecisiveness about my drink order and gave helpful recommendations.
Loved the nostalgic hotel. The AC broke so it was miserable during the wedding.Since we were part of a large party I got charged an automatic tip and they disguised it as Service Charge when we went to check out. This would have been great to know ahead of time. Also, I would not have given the $20 cash tip at the bar.Very disappointed. i know you are not supposed to spend a lot of time in the rooms, but It really did not have any closet space. We were supposed to have a King size bed, we had a queen. I am 63 that was a pain.
Nice hotel. Friendly staff. The rooms are a little small and if you book a corner room be prepared to climb stairs. Just don’t take a lot of luggage or you would be in trouble on the corner rooms. Other than that it is a very nice place.Lots of windows in the corner room. My daughters loved that part.
Beautiful hotel with friendly staff. Dinner in restaurant was delicious, and our server, Christopher, was excellent. Only slight downside was the room I selected was directly beneath the rooftop bar which was pretty loud on a Saturday night. Views from that room were pretty awesome though.
The food was good, but the menu selection seemed a bit lacking. I could tell the place was recently updated to look modern. I liked the rooftop area better than the dining area, but unfortunately food was not served there. We were seated next to a buffet line for a private party, which detracted from my overall dining experience. I am not a vegetarian, but tough luck if you are because there are no entrees for you to choose from.
Ate brunch here on a Sunday. The omelettes were great, as were the grits, sausage and oysters on the half shell. The service was also excellent. We came from out of town and didnt know about Georgias backwards alcohol laws, so we couldnt order an alcoholic drink. Apparently we werent allowed to sit outside on the porch to eat (it was confusing). Overall, pretty good for the price ($30 a person) if you pig out.
I heard great things about this hotel, unfortunately, my experience was the opposite. 1) during breakfast (7am) I reported that the womens sink in the restaurants restroom was inoperable. At dinner (6pm) almost 12 hours later, it still had not been repaired. In my world that should be priority. So I am trying to understand how staff and guest were properly cleaning their hands? I know personally, I went back and forth to my room to use the restroom. Not to mention they never put a sign up notifying guests that it was down. 2) My trip was business related. My Directors room was out of hot water at 9:30 am so they gave him access to another room. Unfortunately, the room had not been serviced at that time. Someone had just checked out. How disgusting. Yes, they did not charge him for his room, but who does that? The appropriate levels of competency is lacking or maybe theyre only competent for The Masters guests. And FYI... In this hotel the shower faucet is hot then cold. The opposite of what it normally is. I did however, encounter some very nice staff and the restaurant was nice, and the food was good. I wanted so much to be able to rate them higher but once these two things took place...I couldnt ignore it. Good decision making, cleanliness is priority in my own personal world.
While an older hotel the recent renovations make it a nice place to stay. Close to all the good places in Augusta from shops to eating. Parks and all just about everything within 5 or less miles. Walls are a bit this but the first floor standard room almost resembled a suite. I had a couch desk two TVs and a bedroom. Bathroom was as small as a broom closet but still a pleasant stay. Good staff too.
I finally wanted to come in and see the new updates which have occurred under the new ownership of Hilton. I was quite excited to see our Partridge Inn had been selected for their boutique line of hotels which Hilton has started doing.Staff wise, everyone appeared well dressed and helpful. However, because (possibly due to the slow traffic for their lunch service time) they had no bartender, the only server on staff for the restaurant area explained that she could only provide either beer or wine, because thats all she could do. Huge loss of points for me on this. Your staff should be trained in all faucets of what they are responsible and have your business staffed sufficiently to carry on daily roles. Having a full time bartender seems pretty basic. Hilton, this blew my mind quite a bit.Your menu. If something isnt on the menu, please dont continue to hand out the same menu until your changes are done. Otherwise you have a staff member who has to stand there and point out everything that you are no longer serving because someone either doesnt want to spend the money to update the menus, or someone doesnt want to spend the money to update the menus. Providing temporary menus is still better than a menu with half its contents removed.Moving on, the selection of wine was good, and I ordered a well poured flute of St. Hilaire. Plus points for it being a fresh bottle while having an excellent crisp plum of bubbles . I ordered one more because who doesnt enjoy a chilled glass of champagne? Finally, the smell. It smells like old, stale mold through-out the hotel, more so lingering on the bar & grill floor. I dont know why, being it went through renovation, but the smell is just .... its unpleasant to say the least. One could still pick up the smell of paint, which is expected; however its covered up by this overwhelming odor. A deodorizer would help, or perhaps candles? Or something.... really anything is better than what Im smelling.Hopefully my next visit will better.
Went to the P.I. Bar and Grill my boyfriend for a belated birthday lunch. Tables can be reserved, as he had one reserved for us. Our server was nice and very attentive. Food was delicious and surprisingly affordable. Lunch menu isnt quite as inclusive as the dinner menu, but still good nonetheless.
The shuttle was awesome. James did a great job and was very customer friendly. The doormen and front desk was fantastic. Rooms werw great. Bartenders were not good and bar was not up to service we had from the rest of the hotel. Did nor have a good selection of draft beers
Beautiful historic hotel. During covid you wont have the usual experience at all. Open air penthouse (coffee, food, cocktails etc) closed. Other parts of the hotel are closed due to covid and also the dining experience will be different. Times to dine have changed. Again - Covid19.Would give five stars except for the dining staff and barman. While friendly and polite - theyve had no training whatsoever and they lack basic knowledge. Very basic knowledge. It would take you aback.
Mechelle, the overnight woman is second to none! Kind, friendly and incredible dog lover. She said if she had a bigger place at home, she would take in 30 rescue dogs! Outstanding love oozing out of her. Stay and get up before 7 and say hi for Darrell, Karen and our rescue dog Burt. 4.5 stars, but ran out of chicken( it was a Holiday weekend during COVID- so hard to pin an issue). Merry Xmas Yall!
Whoever thought of their being a great rooftop bar in Augusta? This place has it, and it was awesome. Ok, it was a great rooftop hangout. There wasnt a bar in the strictest sense, just a window where basic drinks were served. The beds were great, the rooms unique, and the breakfast was... adequate. Overall a great place for Hilton loyalists to get off the beaten path. The staff were all very friendly as well!
A hotel where you feel welcome!Staff especially at the front desk is extremely friendly and helpful. They even remember your name after 24 hours. Not usual but definitely gives a feel good sensation.Rooms are not very modern but comfortable, large and clean.Choice of breakfast is ok but nothing special. The rooftop bar with a very nice view towards the valley makes it an enjoyable place.I would go there again for the general atmosphere
Beautiful! Used to come here for brunch years ago when we lived in Augusta but had never stayed. My husband surprised me with an upgrade from a Hampton Inn as I was in town for my brother’s open heart surgery. Very aesthetically pleasing, and a relaxing atmosphere to come back to after being at the hospital and my only regret was my husband wasn’t here to share it with me!
I am giving this hotel a 5 star rating. Thanks to two of the hotels amazing staff members, Andre and I believe his name was Marcus, I had an amazing stay. They were super helpful and accommodating. Also, the bar staff was amazing. I will definitely be staying here again.
Very unique historic property converted into a modern hotel with comfortable rooms, a very impressive rooftop bar and breakfast available which is in line with a double tree or embassy suites. Be aware that as this is a historic property it does show its age in small ways.
Ever since I was a little girl I wanted to stay at the historic Partridge Inn of Augusta. As a treat, for my birthday I booked a room. I was not disappointed. The staff were friendly and professional. I stayed on a warm sunny night with a surprise summer rain. I had the pleasure of sitting on my balcony eating my room service and enjoying the pleasant sprinkle after swimming in their pool. I loved it! If youre looking for a quaint romantic hideaway for the weekend....this is the place!
A very nice hotel, with very historic characteristics. The building itself is quite old, however everything you touch is brand new, giving a feel of character, but with modern amenities. The wrap around porch in the restaurant has a great view, but the 5th floor bar is even better. Parking is either valet, or you can park behind the hotel on the small parking garage.
This hotel is newly renovated and just re-opened! They have done a beautiful job with the rooms and other areas of the hotel. The staff were all extremely helpful and hospitable. We also dined in the restaurant, The P.I. Bar and Grill and had a fabulous meal there! The Sunday brunch is a not to be missed. Would definitely recommend this hotel to anyone heading to Augusta!
From the outside, this looks like a well-preserved 19th century hotel. But I stepped in the door and met with great disappointment. Every trace of Victorian charm has been erased, and the atmosphere is ultra modern-right down to contemporary art on the walls in the rooms. No attempt to use retro fixtures or patterns in the decor. I will be looking for a more authentic experience elsewhere next time I book a room.
This beautiful Augusta historic gem has been beautifully updated. The food is good, but the service is awful! The hotel staff are friendly, pleasant and helpful but the food and beverage absolutely ruined it. Well, that and the tiny cruise ship sized showers. We were considering this hotel for our out of town wedding guests, but there is nowhere to get ready, the closet wont accommodate my wedding dress let alone the rest our luggage and a 45-60 minute wait for dinner service in your hotel is unacceptable, particularly when there are visibly numerous empty tables. There was a Wedding rehearsal the night we stayed and if this is the cause for poorly staffed food service, I fault the food and beverage manager who should absolutely be aware of any special events and prepare to staff the restaurant accordingly. The room service menu in our room was outdated by a month. Another restaurant guest was told by her server that she had to order wings from the bar, while the other people at her table could order from the server. She was obviously irritated when the bartender corrected the server, handed her a bar menu and sent her back to her table. The lady, who I assume was managing the restaurant last night seemed more interested in socializing with the bartender than addressing serious issues with her waitstaff. Another order placed at the bar was dropped off from the kitchen with zero communication. The bartender, who didnt take the order, had no idea what the item was,nor which guests ordered it. The ENTIRE wait staff seemed completely unhappy with their job and that reflects poorly on the management and owner. This is not the level of service I have come to expect from the Hilton chain of hotels. Whoever currently owns the Patridge Inn clearly needs to be more invested in their business or they will lose every penny invested and Augusta will lose a huge piece of history. The bathroom had pink stains on the shower walls, 1ply toilet paper but the balcony was huge!
I have stayed here many times but this time something was not right. The two rooms we had and even walking into the hallway, smelled so badly. Like mildew, not a subtle smell but very strong odor of sour and moldy. We arrived at almost 10:00 pm and the hotel basically shuts down by 10:00 so no one to change rooms or help. My daughter showered and turned in the dryer at 10:30-10:45 and the breaker flipped and lights out in bathroom. And no one to fix. She has Med school interview in morning and no lights in bathroom. Oy!!!!!! Will not stay here again. And with a smell that almost takes your breath away, we are paying over $200 night. I will complain
The bar is on the second floor. I have not tried the food. The bar and dining area is nicer than comparable places in the area. The drinks are generally 5-10$. Atmosphere is low-key and chill. There was no music playing at the bar so we ended up going somewhere else to dance.
Very nice and clean hotel. My only issue was the adjustable slide for the hand held shower head was installed upside down. This resulted in the shower head being held very loosely, and falling to slam into my toe once. Other than that, I had a great experience and will stay here again when Im in town.
We stayed there as a wedding party for our friends wedding weekend. There were also many family members and spouses there with us.PROS:- The rooms were very nice, we had a double queen and it was quite spacious, with a fridge.- They have a very cute pool as well.- The staff was phenomenally polite and helpful. They worked with us in trying to get rooms all together.- FREE VALET!!! (you should tip them for this service)- They have a lovely meeting room where the Newlywed Brunch was held.CONS:- There are a lot of stairs randomly in the hallways because its an old style building. So, rolling your suitcase to your room is a much harder feat than you might think. I would recommend getting a bellhop. (you should tip them for this service)- They closed their bar SUPER EARLY, like 11 p.m. and the hotel was FULL!!! There were at least 3 wedding parties and families there. They would have made bookoo bucks from our group alone. We wanted to have a few drinks as it was a celebration weekend. There arent really any close by bars in the area so it wasnt like we could just go downtown either. All in all it was a good hotel. If you just need a room and a little R&R this would be a perfectly fine place to stay.
I really wanted to like this place. The staff was incredibly nice and it had all the looks of a place that was a unique and fun place to stay. Unfortunately, the hotel for me was all sizzle and no steak, if you will. We stayed in a room with a roll-out sofa, and there was only a pillow and no sheets or blanket for the person with us who needed to sleep on it. No problem. We called the front desk when we got back from dinner and asked for sheets and were told that they would be right up. We waited and checked with them again and were again told they would be up shortly. Eventually midnight rolled around and we still had no sheets, so I just had to go down to the lobby and asked for them myself. The person at the front desk said he hadnt received any calls about sheets, so its possible I just made the request during a shift change and it fell through the cracks. Either way, he was helpful and went and got what I needed himself. I dont mean to sound difficult, but when youre paying what we had to pay for a room, theres an expectation that anything that might come up will be handled in a timely manner. That didnt happen here. The rooms were also fairly cramped, and the walls were paperthin. We were on the fifth floor and could hear people at the pool down below as if they were in our living room. They werent being loud or anything like that; just going about their business as anyone at a pool might, but it still felt like they were right next to us and didnt really feel like we had any privacy. Its also a very old hotel, so there were signs of wear and tear (carpet stains, rust around the air vents, dents in the wall, etc.). Not to mention there was a used coffee cup in one of the closets that had been missed. It wasnt one big thing, but a lot of little things that left a bad taste in my mouth. Normally I wouldnt give things like this much thought, but when Im being charged almost $300 a night, I just expect to be able to take a load off and enjoy yourself when youre at the hotel. Ive stayed at far better hotels for a lot less money. I dont plan on ever coming back.
The Partridge Inn is a well-renovated old-time building, and it looks like a lot of time, money, and love went into it. In my particular room, there is no chest of drawers, but there IS a three-drawer mini chest in the closet.According to staff, this may be the oldest continuously operating inn in the city. Parking is nested behind the building in above- and below-ground lots, and there is plenty of it. The primary entrance in front of the building is a half-moon driveway that reminds me of horse-drawn carriages.Overall, this is a very nice inn and I recommend staying there.[edits fixed grammar issues]
Property appeared charming, lovely, and historical. While we were told there were very many unique and lovely rooms, our room was not. Poorly located in a far off corner of property, no balcony, no view except for a parking lot, and very much in need of an update. The bathroom was much too small, no counter space at all, and stocked with only one set of towels for a double Queen room, (1 bath, 1 handtowel, 1 face... We called to ask for additional towels and again were brought only one bath one hand one face). The worst part, the room was very damp feeling and wreaked of stale smoke odor and whatever cover-up cleaner they tried to use to remove that smoke odor made it much worse. We were told they had a full house without other rooms available, and were also told because they had a full house if we wanted to eat on the property we should make a reservation right away in order to get a table at 7:30. When we went down to dine we were the only ones in the dining room, and on a scale of 1 to 10 the meal was barely a 5 for every item we ordered. Very dissapointed, especially considering we are loyalty brand members with gold status. We definitely expected much better considering all the hype. This could be an amazing property with some minor updates and improvements, and perhaps new or better management, however as part of the Curio collection, we found it completely inadequate. It was a very disappointing stay and we expected much better.

2022-05-09Had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights. Our room had a separate patio area which was great. The room itself was clean and comfortable, especially the bed.The dinner was amazing. I had the fried chicken, which came with the best mac and cheese youll ever eat. The waitress was informative and very friendly. Breakfast was also a pleasure.I think the best part of the experience is the staff. Every single staff member had a smile on their face and went above and beyond to give you that southern hospitality. I wish I could list all their names!

2022-05-31Amazing history. pictures from back to early 1900s everywhere i went. Every hallway, lobby, elevator, grounds - spotless. Greeted by Jimmy who helped with bags, and also provided the free Valet service. Very helpful. in fact, JD, Charlie and all of the Valet crew were helpful, courteous, and made us feel like a welcomed guest. The hotel has had a total refresh/remodel and it shows. We were greeted with champagne in the lobby. We had the queen with balcony. quaint, spotless room.We were immediately assisted with luggage when it was time to check out, and the car was waiting for us. We will return for sure.

2022-07-02Deep pool, great food and drinks and the staff really set this stay apart from any other stay. We felt cared for and respected our entire visit. The room was old and quirky but had nice furnishings and a really comfortable bed. Would love to stay again anytime I am anywhere near The Partridge Inn.

2022-07-05Great stay here over the 4th of July weekend. Loved out room. We had 2 queens that couldnt be more different. One was like sleeping in a marshmallow and the other was very firm. One was also directly in front of the a/c vent which made it very cold sleeping. Our room was at the end of the hall, very quiet and a good size. Very clean. Restaurant and Bar provided great service, food and drinks. Only problem was on the day of check out one housekeeper walked in without knocking around 845 and another at 930 but at least he knocked. Checkout wasnt until 11. Would be a great spot if going to the Masters!

2022-04-088595 Restaurant is great! I choose outside dining during the Masters to take in the cool morning breezes and people watch as they enter and leave for the golf match. Food is even better than before the renovation and hotel changes. Superb job!

2022-06-19First time in the hotel. Liked the boutique feel of the place. Lots of steps to carry luggage from front drive or the parking garage and on the hallways. Self park and valet same charge, so will let them do it on my next stay. V.nice bar and restaurant. The veranda and pool are inviting except for the unbearable humidity while I was there. Try it in some other season!

2022-06-10This hotel has amazing history and the staff were friendly. Our room had a very large balcony that overlooked the amazing and private pool. The room was very spacious, the beds and pillows were so top notch that it made it hard to get up. The restaurant has an awesome outside dining area. The bathroom was small, and theres no microwave. Spotty wifi. But I will definitely stay here again!

2022-04-03Had a great bartender Saturday night! He told us it was his first Masters in Augusta. Partridge Inn did a beautiful renovation. Very sophisticated, clean lines. Highly recommended. A great place to pop in for a drink before dinner or to finish up the evening.

2022-04-04Disappointed with the stay though the Inn is beautiful, historic, and the grill was great. We had a few issues such as the air in the room never getting below 74 degrees which made it difficult to sleep. Apparently they just completed renovations so some amenities were not open yet including the penthouse and pool area. There was no indication of this when reservations were made but when open Im sure it would be more enjoyable.

2022-04-19Ugh, I hate to write a poor review for a classic hotel. But had such a bad experience. My daughter and I were in town for her surgery and arrived exhausted and late. There was a cluster of employees standing around the desk staring at us when we walked in which was weird. They gave us Room 106 which looked like a poorly renovated storage room. The carpet/floor was oddly lumpy, the wood work was clumped over with paint, the tile a mess. The room looked dark and tired (other than the beds which were nice). There were only slivers of windows near the ceiling. If you were 8 tall & could see out of them at that height, youd be looking at feet level outside against a wall. A basement room. The bathroom had no towel racks or hooks so the only spot to put your clothes or bath towel when showering was on the toilet. There was no hairdryer or trash bin in bathroom. (They brought hairdryer after we requested.) The shampoo/toiletries were among the tiniest Ive seen in a hotel, barely enough for one. If it had been renovated, it was done poorly. We were too tired to move hotels. The maintenance man came to assess the situation (not sure why as he couldnt have renovated the room) and said that this was just the way the designers made the room. The next morning, we checked out a day early. I asked if the hotel was at capacity. They were not. So if there had been better rooms, Im not sure why they put us in the dungeon. As we left, the valets stood and watched my daughter (who had broken ribs) and I lug our suitcases out the door and up into our car. I did ask one of them to help my daughter as she tried lifting hers, which he did, after I asked. The beds did sleep comfortably and the ladies in the restaurant were lovely. But the hotel was not ready for guests after their renovation. (We were there the week after the Masters.)
