I discovered Training Room by tagging along with a friend at first. I went to a regular gym, but was curious to try this place out. It is probably the most intense, fun exercise Ive ever had. The workouts fly by, and are always diverse to keep your mind and body guessing from class to class. I have seen more results in the past few months from Training Room than in the past few years just working out at a standard gym. The coaches (and other gym-goers) are knowledgeable, welcoming, and always willing to help explain technique or modifications based on your strength/abilities. Its a wonderful place.
If you are ready to get your life together this is the place! Elle Ross is my trainer and she’s awesome! The facility itself is pretty awesome! Wide range of classes, work out options and super friendly staff. I love environment like this because everyone staff and patrons are driven and want to improve themselves. This is a one stop fitness shop, ps the my also accommodate all fitness goals! Whether you want to loose a little weight or become a busy builder, they got you covered!
I have been working out at the training room for about 9 months. I mostly do personal training with Amber who is amazing but ALL the trainers and coaches are truly awesome. I look forward to going to the gym because I know how friendly, helpful and nonjudgmental the trainers/coaches are. I know that their first priority is the safety (i.e. Not getting injured with bad technique) of all the members and I really appreciate that. I would definitely recommend the training room for anyone looking for a new gym, whether you consider yourself a beginner or expert, they have something for everyone and you will definitely be challenged!
Avoid if you’re being cautious about COVID-19. Mask policy has been spotty since reopening and a lot of the stated corona policies are inconsistent: stopped in to buy supplements right after Kemp said gyms could reopen (TR was one of the first local gyms to reopen) and I was the only one wearing a mask despite their stated policy; front desk person had on just gloves. I hurried out horrified and texted friends who are also members and the one who’d opted to return to in-person confirmed patchwork enforcement.I was a member for 2 years but just cancelled out of how they’ve handled things since March. Arguing over charges during lockdown, multiple billing issues, very rude owner, and most of my favorite coaches have left. Management doesn’t hesitate to tack on premium charges to already expensive membership; the Unlimited TR classes for $189 has to pay an additional $30 for open gym time if they want that; new outdoor classes require purchase of an expensive piece of equipment that the owner models for. Zoom classes cost extra.Really bummed, I liked this place a lot except for the biannual programming overhaul that would happen right when I’d start to love a class (RIP Boxing, RIP Animal Flow, RIP Switch Cardio Agility). The positive: Coach Colleen is the lifeblood of that place and she’s wonderful; the variety of workouts keeps you on your toes; it’s challenging; they emphasize proper form and technique. I made a lot of friends here... many of whom have likewise opted not to return anytime soon.
The coaches and members make for a welcoming, friendly atmosphere that often feels like family. Yes, the workouts are challenging, but theyre also a lot of fun and they produce real results. The coaches are solid - they motivate effectively while also correcting bad form that could lead to injuries. I started a little over a year ago and Ive made substantial gains in strength, skill and conditioning. Love this gym!
I started coming back to the training room repeatedly for two reasons, first, the people there. They all were so welcoming and friendly and now I have many good friends there that I enjoy seeing every day. Second, the results that I get from the workouts there. Whether it be from personal training with some of the trainers or going to Lean or Strong or Switch, I definitely keep coming back for more because the results are so good!
After training for and running a marathon I needed to change up my routine and add in more strength. The Training Room ATL caught my eye while running on the beltline. This place is exactly what I was looking for! I get variety, challenging workouts that fit my abilities and needs, and high energy. The coaches are personable and motivating. Everyone is there to have a good workout and were in it together to get it done. I highly recommend this gym!
We moved to Atlanta without knowing anyone...we passed The Training Room on the beltline and knew we needed to kick it into high gear for our upcoming wedding. From the moment we showed up everyone was friendly, welcoming, and accepting. It can be intimidating going to a new gym and trying a new workout - but never once did we feel out of place. In addition, this place works! In just a few months the changes we are seeing in our bodies, strength, confidence, and overall endurance are amazing. We love this place enough to go every weekday to the 6am! That says something!
I joined The Training Room 4 months ago in hopes of getting my butt back in shape after some long months of avoiding exercise. After the initial killer workout, reminding me of the lack of cardio and strength I had, getting into the routine here was easy. The trainers are super motivating and helpful. They push you to your limits but not over - a big thing for me having several bad sports injuries in the past from over training. This is NOT a crossfit gym where you are competing for time and weight - they do more circuit training in most classes that will leave you wiped but not damaged. The variety of class types and times allows you great flexibility, and the community here is unlike any other gym. Not only are the staff/trainers friendly, but all those who come here. If youre looking for a new home gym, come here.
The Training Room is an exceptional place. The training is awesome & so is the energy! If you looking to be challenge as well as grow on your fitness journey, this is the place for you. The instructors are very attentive & the fitness community makes you feel at home.
I have been going to the training room for nearly 2 years and every time I go, typically 3 times a week, that team never lets me down. The work outs/training can be intense, hardcore, and inspiring because of the great people that are there. Everyone works Hard and pushes eachother. There is a respect factor that Ive not felt at any other gym before. For me, TTR makes me feel like my age is just a number, that I can do anything I commit and dedicate myself to do. I am here for the long hall...I love this place.
The Training Room has improved a great deal since Ive started coming here. The LEAN classes are great for slimming and muscle toning, STRONG is challenging for building muscle (newcomers should be especially attentive to form), and BOX makes me feel like Muhammad Ali. I highly reccomend any class from Erin (personal favorite), Jackson, Colleen or Amber (the very dedicated owner). There is a genuine community here that is as welcoming as you are.
Great gym with some great trainers. The owner spends a lot of money on getting good equipment and keeping the place nice. This is NOT one of those gyms where the owner bought some weights ten years ago and called it a day. Its a great place to workout and right on the beltline.
The Training Room is the first gym in years I found that worked, I enjoyed, and I stayed! My body composition has changed dramatically; Ive replaced fat with muscle, I look better naked AND in clothes, and most importantly Im stronger and more confident in MY body. Ive been a loyal TTR member now for a year, going 3-4 times a week, coming off years of no strength training (and despite being a distance runner, it showed). The programming is designed to prevent common injuries you hear about from other gyms, but is also FUN, challenging, varied, and everything you need to hit your goals to lean out, build strength, sculpt, and/or condition. The trainers are encouraging, highly skilled and experienced in their field, happy to modify movements if needed due to prior injury, and look to correct and improve each individuals form throughout class. For a gym of its type, the facilities are very well equipped, organized, and clean. They are constantly reinvesting to enhance the gyms equipment, classes, and amenities because they truly care about members and continuous enhancements in programming. The programming is why you join TTR, but if youre the type to invest yourself into relationships, youll find comraderie and a supportive gym family here as well. Hope to see you in class!
This is by far favorite gym and workout in Atlanta. Always a new challenging workout, instructors are great!!!! If youre in shape the training room will challenge you, if you need to get in shape the training room will whip you into shape!!! Give em a try, you wont be disappointed!!!!
*DONT GO HERE* The most over rated, over priced gym in Atlanta. The staff and owner are BEYOND rude and workouts are weak and inconsistent. The trainers are always looking at their watches hoping that the workout is over because Weve been here all day As a gym member that is paying top dollar for a mediocre gym, I need my trainers to be nicer and more enthusiastic. Dirty gym, rude owner and over priced. *DONT GO HERE*
The Training Room is great-- conveniently located along the beltline, many awesome trainers along with a class schedule that fits any type of lifestyle. Definitely recommend coming to this place and trying it out-- I started with just a few classes and was then hooked to become a member.
I first worked with Amber at Nike with the NTC classes at Lenox Mall. From the day I met her she has been extremely professional in everything she does. This translates to her gym at The Training Room. Easily one of the top gyms in all of Atlanta. The variety of classes, coaching caliber, and resources available at The Training Room are unlike any other gym in Atlanta. The staff, coaches, and trainers are all very supportive, knowledgeable, and dedicated in their respective practices.
I stepped into The Training Room ATL expecting to not like it. I spent my whole life avoiding workouts involving anything heavy. But it turns out the heavy stuff isnt scary when you have knowledgeable coaches to explain what to do, why to do it, and how to do it properly. And its also kind of fun.

2021-09-15I took the lean workout class and it was great. You can determine the intensity of your workout with the motivational push from the trainer. A good variety or exercises paired with different types of cardio.

2020-02-24I used to do the class pass circuit but really felt I’d found the right gym when I came to the Training Room full time. The coaches all know my name and make me feel welcome and comfortable learning how to lift and work out safely while putting increased demand on my body. Im seeing results like I never have before and those have markedly improved my performance with competitive cycling. I also really appreciate that TR knows that life happens - like when my car wouldnt start this morning and they moved me into a later class. Finally, I love supporting female-owned, local businesses who give back to causes and our community. All are welcome here and they really support that. Love TTR!

2016-12-29I have been going to The Training Room for nearly 2 years, working out with a personal trainer, and I love this gym. Here, your not just a member, youre part of a family!!! Everyone is happy in this gym, and wants to be there!! Everyone encourages each other from trainers to clients. And the owner is always updating equipment and adding new equipment to keep workouts fresh!! You never know what new piece of equipment will be there next to try out! This is hands down the best place to work out!!!!

2017-01-09I joined the The Training Room 8 months ago and I LOVE it. I love the coaches and the community. My body composition has completely changed and for the first time in my adult like, I have muscles. It’s given me a confidence that I never thought I’d have in a gym setting and in myself. The coaches are amazing and teach you proper form. The programming is designed to prevent injury and is fun and very challenging. I highly recommend to anyone!

2018-10-23My first time going to a gym of this nature and l really enjoyed my workout. Boxing is super fun and the time flies!! The other classes really worked me out but l got a little lost with the concept of timing and the instructors dont really explain this too well at the beginning of the workout, ( for beginners).I considered buying a membership but was told that it would only apply to the classes and not to use the gym, weight room, etc.Im just not sure that l want to pay close to $200 a month for classes only and no personal one on one time or access to other types of workouts.

2019-01-20Really enjoy the workouts. I love that I don’t have to think about what I want to do at the gym. I just show up and follow the planned workout. The staff are very motivating and take the time to know your name. Great location along the beltline. Membership is a little pricey. It’s also been a lot busier recently also so it’s been tougher to reserve classes. You almost have to book two days in advance to guarantee a spot. Overall good experience.

2017-01-09I have trained at many fitness gyms and this is certainly my favorite. The instructors push you but keep you safe, the people are friendly, the gym is very nice and clean. I especially enjoy that it is directly on the Beltline so I ride my bike there most days. I look forward to being a part of this gym for a long time.
