The UPS Store in other cities:
Very friendly staff. Don’t know these other reviews are about. Watched the staff handle 10 customers back to back with a smile on their faces. Answered all questions. Would recommend this store to everyone.Update: 6.1.2020Had a great customer service experience in the store with Takarsha. Not sure if she’s a manager but she’s exemplar. Great conversation and a positive attitude. Not every experience I’ve had here has been absolutely bliss but I will day this most recent is the reason I believe she and this staff deserve 5 stars. When a customer is given all the options despite what one should say is respectable. As well as she understood my time frame and worked with me to make sure my deadline was met! Normally I keep it hi and bye here but I imagine around a personality like hers it would be hard! Great job representing the store and UPS as a company. I believe you will go far!
Was told by employee that the UPS store does not, as stated on their website accept or send certified mail (“that”s the post office”) but he went on to explain that even if they did do certified mail, (which I found out they, in fact, do) the mail was already picked up so it wouldn’t go out until Monday anyway. He went on to tell me that there had been numerous updates and the store no longer did passport photos nor did they take appointments, nor did UPS give them any power to update their site to reflect the fact that these services are not offered.I asked for a contact number so I could complain about this as it was critical the mail I was sending was sent today as it involved a lawsuit and had I known the UPS store did not offer service I would have waited in line at the post office. He searched around and finally wrote a number on an envelope.I phoned the number and after waiting on hold for around 10 minutes got through to a person who said that what I had just been told was unequivocally untrue and that the matter would be referred on.I’ll find out when I return on Monday whether the UPS store has an employee or corporate problem.
I went into this location to mail a package, I was told systems down. This makes the third time I have went into this location and the systems were down. The male manager that’s there all the time is uninterested is handling your concerns and barely wants to affix a label to mail your package. No apology given whatsoever, it was a plain message of “can I help you?”(no hey welcome to ups are you mailing a package or getting supplies today) I’m mailing a package , “o well the systems are down nationwide and we can’t mail packages only prepaid drop offs.” I’m not sure if this will be my location of choice again even though I stay on this side of town. This location customer service has definitely went down the drain.
This is the worst UPS store Ive EVER been to!!The owner, Ramana, was helping me ship my packages and did not give me all my shipping options! He tried to charge me $10 to send a small 3x2x1 box to Auburn, which had been sent to me for less than $4!!! He also got upset with me when I offered my coworker my roll of tape instead of them charging her to add a small piece of tape to her package! He told me, You have to stop doing that!I said, Im just trying to be kind. After I found out USPS was an option instead of the ridiculous prices he was quoting me, he said the computer was not working and he couldnt process the order. He handed me back my packages. As I was leaving, he said, Good, dont come back after I told him I wouldnt ever be returning to this location!AVOID THIS UPS STORE AT ALL COSTS! No wonder they are always hiring with this awful man managing this store. I feel sorry for the other employees.TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE!Update to owners response:I never once was on the phone while checking out at this UPS. Actually after beginning to help me, the owner got on the phone for 5 minutes. It was during this time that I got my packing tape from my car and offered it to a woman who needed some. I only claimed that I had offered tape to one co-worker, which is the truth.I was not offered all my shipping options by the owner, even though one of his nicer employees assured me the owner would give me all options once he got off the phone.People of Macon, all you have to do is read the countless awful reviews here to see that there is a common denominator at this store. His responses to customers are even inappropriate.
By far the worst UPS out there. The owner is the rudest person Ive met and arbitrarily declines packages youre dropping off.Edit: The person I dealt with was an older Indian gentleman. My package was rejected (despite the prepaid label), and you said it would need to go to a corporate UPS store. You have also rejected packages if the label isnt covered with clear packaging tape.
Worst EVER on Monday the 7th ! 1 staff member couldnt figure out how to tape a pre-printed label to a box, which ended up a mess. The assumed manager would look at me, ask a question, and then had to ask my partner the same exact question just to get the exact same answer. He kept insisting I wasnt in the system (who cares), told customers to come back and/or call back later, made no attempt to package my shipment before leaving, and on and on. Ill never be back. It was pathetic.
I obviously deleted my review because I see it was the UPS delivery driver problem. I don’t need you responding when you wasn’t even there. You going off he say she say. If you was THERE you would’ve known which driver tried to make y’all look bad. & how I’m going to tell you a package wasn’t there when I don’t work there. Have A GOOD day! Ok
I am just leaving this UPS on Tom Hill Rd and I definitely felt the need to write a review. There was a man whom I am assuming is the manager or owner, he is older and non-american, from the beginning his demeanor and attitude was very nasty. Even his facial expressions and the way he talked to customers was nasty. This is my second time using this location and my first time having to deal with him. This experience was horrible and I will not be returning. The process this time was completely different then the last, not only that I was charged $3.83 to print 4 sheets of paper that the last time I came, I didnt even need plus a taping fee which I didnt mind. The girl working in there with him seemed to scared to even speak up and was basically mumbling when she was talking to me. I seriously suggest that he work on his customer service skills and learn how to treat customers.
Customer service provided by the OWNER himself was horrific. I was mortified when I had to result to contacting the local police department in order to retrieve my package. Nevertheless the owner also prohibited me from entering this location again because he had to comply and give me my package. The owner himself, ignored me, raised his voice, & even continuously refused to give me my package. When I asked why not he mumbled & went to the back as if I wasn’t standing there. He was rude, unprofessional, aggressive and extremely hostile for no apparent reason. When the officer arrived to assist he continuously provided false excuses as to why he “couldn’t” give me my package, and even stood in front of us pretending to contact UPS and was actually hanging up. When the officer asked to hear what UPS was saying he placed them on speaker & the representative advised that because I had my identification & tracking number I was allowed to pick up the package.Of course that’s when he came with another excuse and stated that my package wasn’t there. I pulled up the tracking information where it showed my package was there.I wouldn’t recommend using UPS to anyone, you would be better off driving your packages here & there. What’s the purpose of using a shipping agency if they only provide you with a hassle and headache to retrieve packages? There is no logical explanation that can be given to why Macon PD had to come in and save the day to provide me with a package that is already mine.Update to the owners response:You are a compulsive liar & it shows! How did I not know the mailing address nor tracking number but meraculously you provided me with my package that I left the store with! None of your customers were frustrated with me, they were sick of the poor customer service you provide & how you’ve turned that location into a place people wouldn’t think twice about. How can I call the PD to retrieve my tracking number? I see you don’t put much thought into your lies, but you should consider stepping down. There is no way you can band me from a place I would never think twice of supporting, you need help not only for yourself, but for your business as well. Good luck with that!
I was charged $2.11 to send an email to have my return label printed. The only reason I had to have it printed in store was because their employees were unable to get my original return label to work. Employee made a snide comment about training new employees, told me not to “snatch the receipt out of my hand”. Maybe tell your customers when you’re about to charge them $2.11 for a sheet of paper I already printed??? Regardless, the reviews are true, don’t use this store. Doubt the owner who responds to comments on here will do anything to fix the issue.I want employees trained to explain costs before they are charged to unsuspecting customers. I want employees to provide a basic level of customer service, and present service options when original plans fall through instead of scamming unknowing customers. I want employees to not be rude to customers when explaining policies and performing their jobs. I would not have agreed to pay $2.11 if it had been presented to me as a choice. Instead the costs were hidden from me, and that is why this place gets a one star review.
I never get anything shipped by ups so I didn’t know exactly how everything worked. I ordered a package and it was being shipped to my house but I was at work so nobody was there to sign for it. I had the note on my door and I called the Macon ups store because that’s where it was last and I asked if I could pick it up or if I had to wait for the next day and he asked if the address was on there and I said I don’t know let me go back and check. Well I walked outside to my front door to look and I tried asking where it would say it and he ended up saying the address was supposed to be on there and hung up. So I drive 30 minutes to the ups store and walk in to find out that I have to wait the next day and the whole time I’m in there trying to ask a question the old man keeps interrupting me and speaking loudly over me and was so rude and not helpful at all. So there was an hour round trip that was wasted just because he was so quick to get off the phone and acted like I was bothering him with my questions that I didn’t even get to finish. So instead of him owning up to HIS mistake for not helping me on the phone, he talks down to me, tries making me sound stupid, and acts like a smart a when I’m walking out by saying “bye you have a good night” with an attitude! This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. Kindness goes a long way. Whether customer service is a big part of your job or not, you should still be polite. Personally, I’d rather go somewhere a bit more expensive with great customer service than somewhere cheaper or closer with a man as hateful as him working there.
Sent an 1800$ camera via USPS pickup at this location. An employee wrapped, boxed, and receipted me for it. When the camera never arrived to my Ebay buyer, I inquired with the store. They hardly acknowledged. They blamed it on USPS. I had USPS try to track it down and they never received it, placing the blame back on the UPS Store. UPS Store to continued shirk responsibility, no apology, no effort, and no explanation. “It’s USPS’ fault.” Either way, I entrusted YOU to provide USPS the package upon pickup. It’s YOUR receipt I have, UPS Store. It’s your own pickup service provided that you are blaming. It’s taken me months to be calm enough to write this review. I am out 1800$, plus growing interest on the sale I was never able to make. However, I’m writing this not to seek revenge but because I feel it’s my duty to warn others from doing business at this backwards place. Wouldn’t be surprised if one of their employees is walking around with a stolen high end camera thanks to this once trusting customer. Never will I set foot in any UPS Store again, on principle.EDIT: Based on the owners reply: I was going to say I appreciate your attempt to correct this, but you havent at all. You were faced with a bad review and were required to respond to it, however incorrect. You didnt take the time to check your spelling, and you didnt do a thing to change the problem I had. You argued with your own customer. Youve incited a new indignation, and Ill be happy to revisit the problem I had with you here:When I asked to speak about it at the store, twice, I was turned away and told it was USPS fault, with no follow up or further information. I was hardly given the time of day. I spent weeks with the USPS tracking and calling. They were sure the fault was with you. I called your store several times afterward and spoke two employees on separate occasions who did. not. care. Again, its your receipt of shipment I have in hand. Why werent you more concerned at the time? I wont be removing this review until I am refunded 1800$ plus interest charges on my credit card after my sale was not made. This debacle, to date, has cost me upwards of 2500$. I dont expect this to happen, so dont expect a citizen to remove an honest review that might help others. Please, customers, do not ship via USPS through this store. The UPS store cannot take responsibility for any items lost, sold, or stolen. Thanks to the owner, Ive revisited my original review and improved the wording and information. Im not out to get any hardworking person or business, but I want my camera or money or an apology back.
They wanted to charge me a dollar to tape my paper pre-paid label on the inside (I already taped the label all along the edges). They told the woman in front of me they recommended she fax her confirmation to a company she was returning the package to, seems like a scam and that they were up charging every person in there. The line up was horrible due to the faxing and up charging of every person.Update 4/4/19: the owner somehow got my cell phone number, I hung up on him and blocked him. He then called and left me a voicemail saying I am considered a liar until I explain myself. WHO DOES THIS? Literally crazy. Now I will contacting the head UPS office to make a complaint, I am so happy you left me a voicemail as proof of this!
I went in to get postage for a letter they weighted it but didnt put postage on the letter they said they would mail it the letter never got to the place until 6 days later and it was intercity mail! I kept calling about the letter they were really nasty to me hook up the phone! When you go to the store its so disorganized the worker uniforms have wrinkles in them like they slept in them. They are not clean Shirts with stains in the front of the uniform the pants il fitting. I cant believe this is a postal service? It really needs to be inspected because ppl have a lot of complaints! I gave a 1 star because thats the only way I could post my complaint but its not even a 1 its really a -0🤭
I see the reviews and Im wondering if personal attitude is contributed to some of the bad services some people claim they are getting. I go to this location all the time. Every time Im there, Im greeted, even if someone else is in front of me. One employee (older white gentleman) even took extra time to explain why they couldnt notarize my I-9 form and showed me the law that backed him up. I wasnt upset, I wasnt rude or condescending. The employee even suggested I call my employer and have them send over a letter allowing the ups worker to become the authorized witness for my form. When the employer wouldnt do that, he asked if they would take a verification form that he could notarize that stated he saw my state id and social security card, they did allow that. Im not saying the bad reviews are not accurate, Im just saying every time I have gone it has been a pleasant experience. I will agree that the individual responding to the negative posts could use a class or two in how to handle dissatisfied customers, but working in customer service myself, I know how frustrating it can be.
It’s understandable to want to be informative about the types of service a business provides, but it’s not necessary to be condescending when delivering that message. I feel as though one of the male employees talked to me like I was a child when explaining something I had no idea of. As an employee of any business, incorporating customer service should be a habit of every day social interaction. Well, you would think. Two stars because my stuff got mailed. Thanks!
I went to return a package with a prepaid label. There were 3 people in the store working. They all stopped and smiled, made me feel welcomed. I didnt know they sold stamps and ended up buying some. I will definitely go back to the ups store for stamps and when I need to ship.
I have been using this store at this location since it moved from across the street.I dont know if it has had different owners but,the service is always the same.I go in wait in line then, put my box on the scale. They ask me how I want it to go and how much insurance I want.I pay and then I leave.I have seen a few unhappy people here but,I think they would be unhappy at the post office too.I have never had any problem. On the contrary at the USPS location I go to, I have had damaged shipments and lost packages.UPS always gets it there and I dont need anything else.If you are unhappy go to FEDEX pay 5 times more for the same thing, then go to USPS and have them damage your stuff. Then come back to UPS and you will have a better outlook on life. The old adage applies,You dont know what you got til its gone.
Worst customer srvice EVER.Had to return an Amazon package, which was not taped, i was told it needed to be taped, i looked and said you dont have any tape i can use .. he said NO YOU HAVE TO PURCHASE $4 tape .. walked out i will go to a diffrent UPS. I advised you do the same! In response I did not print a label I didnt have to I have a bar code to scan! None the less, I walked in not even knowing how to return the package, I was advised to take it to a UPS store and they will can take care of it seem that how it was dropped off. I was asked to please do a favor and go to UPS to return the merchandise, when I walked in never in a million yrs would I think the UPS store manager, owner, employee couldnt offer a little tape! CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Horrible experience with the manager, I assume he was the mgr. Since we was lecturing the young guy. The young guy was gracious and doing all the work. The mgr.?? said I was rude when I rolled my eyes and I said O Lord because he wouldnt let the young guy sell me a ups document envelope he had behind the counter-because they were not for sale. How is it that a UPS store doesnt have UPS document envelopes. The mgr?? is inept. Ill drive further from now on.
Worst ups store ever. The owner is the most rude individual to ever own a business. He scolded me for taping a box incorrectly last time I shipped something. This time he gave me a hard time because I wanted to watch my packages be taped up. And I payed for them to do it! I’ll not be using ups again
If I could leave no stars I would!!!!!!! The most absolutely absurd way to treat a customer much less a human being is offered at this store! I get more respect from a fast food drive thru restaurant than what I have received by your employee/ owner! I really hope they do something about this! The employee ever cursed at me while “attempting “ to help me bc apparently coming in at 6:35 15 minutes before they closed was just so tragic to her when I had something as simple as making a copy!!! Please please please save your self the trouble and go to the ups store on Zebulon road!
I will NEVER go to this UPS store again! I JUST found out that a package I took there to be shipped NEVER moved!!! Its been over a month and it was the owner of the store that took it in. I previously had issues there getting documents notarized and the employees were not helpful or engaged AT ALL. I was giving them ANOTHER chance but I have completely learned my lesson. DO NOT GO TO THIS STORE!
This store has the WORST STAFF EVER!! Not once but twice was I treated poorly, spoken to rudely and quite frankly I am just appalled at the treatment I received here! After the second experience, I spoke with the person “in charge” and was just dumbfounded by his string of excuses for his terrible excuse of a co-worker! I will NEVER give my business to this establishment again and plan to tell everyone I know!
Customer service was one of the worst Ive seen. The employees were not competent in notary services that the other location was more than happy to address for me. No apology or anything. Instead of calling to verify, this location directed me to go to the DMV instead. Needless to say, my business will be going to this location.
I concur with other reviewers about this locations overcharging. They quoted me a price of $44 to ship a small, insured package (under three pounds) to Brooklyn. When I asked the guy at the counter why it was so much, he said shipping these days is expensive. I went to the FedEx place just around the corner and shipped for under $20. I would recommend avoiding this place.
Great experience, everyone is friendly and knowledgeable! I’m grateful for their service because they are busy non stop, and I appreciate they can get everyone in and out the door in a fast and efficient manner to meet the needs of their customers! Thank you guys for being awesome, 5 stars without a doubt!!!
I hope to never go to this UPS Store ever in my life. I was returning the receivers for Dish Network and there was two big boxes. The clerk was rude and he took the boxes and threw them all over the counter, scanned them like I was bothering him and threw my receipt at me like he was paying me. Never Again!!!!
Horrible customer service and I hate this is the only place in macon who does finger prints one guy kept getting smart with me and was so rude to me because I didnt understand what he was saying I really feel that they need to hire a better staff cause this aint it and they never have the finger print station set up on time I hope to never see those people again
I was thinking of going to this store but it is very clear, the person responding on behalf of this store is full of excuses. Seems like you dont want to own up to your position and rather blame your customers. If you are the owner Im not sure how you got to the position because clearly you have no management much less ownership skills. You sound very ignorant on your responses.
I went to return a package, and already had a shipping lable as it should but didnt have tape at home so i left my card in the car expecting them to apply tape without me having to buy it myself since i was already paying for shipping and the lady actually said i had to buy tape to be able ship it so i said ill have to go to my car to get tape and she got a attitude and gave me a dirty look
PACKAGE NEVER WAS SHIPPED!!!! I SEE A FEW PPL ARE SAYING THIS AS WELL. I KNOW THE OWNER WILL LEAVE A SNARED COMMENT BACK TO ME AS WITH ALL THE OTHER NEGATIVE REVIEWS.. IM JUST CURIOUS AS TO WHO IS KEEPING THE ITEMS WE ARE TRYING TO SEND??? ORIGINALLY I HAD POSTED THIS ( new to Macon and have been in this store 4 times in less then 2 weeks. Each time Im greeted by a very energetic, very personal and professional associate named Ebonie. This woman is well trained in all store functions, great at multi tasking and performs well under pressure. Everyone who I see waiting seems to be patient with her possibly out of respect for how well she handles herself as well as the customers under stress and high volume. She would do well in a management position, same responsibilities better pay, she deserves it. Thanks for a hassle free process.. ) THAT HAS CHANGED!!!!UPDATE::: ON 1/7/19 I GAVE EBONIE THE BRILLIANT EMPLOYEE A SMALL PACKAGE THAT DID NOT REQUIRE A TRACKING NUMBER TO BE MAILED. INSIDE WAS MY 10 YR OLD NIECES $23 MERCH POP SOCKET. THE POSTAGE COST ME ABOUT 1.74 AND WAS TO BE MAILED REGULARLY AS A MAIL PARCEL. IT WAS GOING FROM GA TO NJ SO I KNEW IT WOULF TAKE ABOUT 3 DAYS. IT IS FEB 5, 2019 AND IT NVR ARRIVED. UPON INQUIRING WHICH I DID 4X WITH UPS SHIPPING AS WELL.. THE MAN WHO IM ASSUMING OWNS THIS STORE WAS NOT HELPFUL, SEEMED ANTSY AND INCONVENIENCED BY MY QUESTIONS.. TOTALLY INCONSIDERATE. UPS SHIPPING COULD NOT HELP ME WITHOUT A TRACKING NUMBER EVEN THOUGH AN ADDRESS SHOULD HAVE BEEN SCANNED IN... BUT... IT WASNT. WHICH MEANS.. IT NEVER LEFT THE STORE. TOTALLY DISAPPOINTED. NOT RIGHT AT ALL .. WHATS UP WITH THAT GUYS???

2022-07-16UPS can be a little busy at times but I would like to highlight the most pleasant experience at the UPS store today in the North Park II plaza. Mr. Dennis displayed exceptional customer service, kindness & patience with all customers. He was thorough & ensured he spoke to every customer, thanked us all for our patience and was the kindness person I’ve encountered all month to be honest. Thank you so much Mr. Dennis, I will be returning again & recommend all my family & friends come to this establishment. KUDOS TO YOU🥳🥳🥳

2022-02-16I frequently use this store and was considering going to another location until I had the opportunity to waited on by your awesome clerk named Stephanie, who was very courteous and gave me expedient service as I was on my lunch break. I was beginning to become irritated because of the long wait time. as I watched her wait on customer after customer and observing your other clerk Dennis spending time waiting on only one customer and chatting with that same customer who only had one Amazon return that took him nearly 5 minutes because of his excessive talking. other waiting customers were equally irritated by his slowness. my one return took Stephanie about 45 seconds in which she was fast friendly got me in and out of your store once I came to her counter. Dennis needs to spend less time talking and more time waiting on customers who may be on their lunch break also. Remember, Business goes where it wanted and stays where its appreciated !!. Thanks to Stephanie, I will be back !!

2022-04-01I work for a 3rd party logistics company and we use local packers all over the country quite frequently I emailed this store regarding a pickup pack and ship job I had in Eastman GA - about 70 miles away from them. Ramana got my quote back to me very quickly and it was very reasonable. They got my equipment picked up and packed same day. I highly recommend them!

2021-09-15I had a large, heavy item shipped from the UPS Store in Macon, GA to my residence. It was packed very well by their staff, but it unfortunately sustained damage in transit, likely due to being mishandled by UPS drivers/carriers. So I opened up a damage claim with UPS and also contacted the UPS Store owner directly to advise him of the situation. I must say that, I was very pleasantly surprised at how well this was handled. His communication was great and he promptly responded to all of my emails and phone calls. He was in constant contact with corporate UPS and worked hard on my behalf to get my situation resolved as quickly as possible. Im so grateful and cant say enough good things about this particular UPS Store, the owner, their hard-working staff (Mark) and the level of customer service that was shown to me! I was reimbursed for a portion of the insured amount of the package and was promptly issued a check to assist with covering the costs of the damage to my item. I would recommend this UPS Store to anyone in the Macon, GA area...they are a fantastic business and they will work hard on your behalf to make sure you are well taken care of in any situation! Thanks so much for taking an unfortunate situation and making it the best that it could possibly be. I definitely hope to do business with this UPS Store again! THANK YOU!!!

2021-08-26Took a rather large package to the UPS Store with a problem. We were returning weed eater which we could not get completely dismantled. Dennis got the tool apart and into the original carton quickly with a very pleasant smile on his face and a upbeat sense of humor. Did not get his name during original trip. So went by about an hour later to be sure I let UPS know what a great employee they have.

2022-03-09Today 3/5/2022 (Saturday) only, closed at 4pm due to maintenance, see photo. (I called Bowman Rd, thinking it could be all UPS stores, they answered immediately and said they were open to 5pm). No one knows until they get here, however I didnt call either before I went (I called later prior to 5pm, after I went to the Bowman Rd location and handled my business, it was automative call and no one picked up at the Northside Dr location). Google said they were open. Go to the one on Bowman Rd, they are open until 5pm today. Update to the owner who responded on 3/8/22, please see photo, though I appreciate your response, it does sound argumentative as do many of your responses to others that were dissatisfied. Friendly advice, accept the facts and really no one can argue with the facts and this is what I represent: this is your store on Northside Dr and the sign someone put on the inside of your door. You may be upset with someone else, however that person its me. I didnt expect, I would get a response from UPS, since this was a FACT post. I normally dont have any issues with your store. However my personal opinion is the female employees are more friendly than the young male that works there he is a little jaded, however seeing these responses from the owner, I can understand why it seems the young male seems jaded.

2021-06-11I usually use this store to ship off all of my packages but due to Covid, I’ve only been about 4 times this year. Today was my first day meeting Dennis and I must say he is one of the kindest people I’ve ever met. In the 5 minutes I was in the store. He made me feel welcomed and had me laughing the entire time. He didn’t know I was having a tough day yet he made It better. I will definitely continue to do business here because of him.

2021-10-08I just visited the UPS Northside Drive store in Macon, GA and had a great experience. I asked the employees name so I may be able to brag about the excellent care. Mark Massey went over and above meeting my needs in faxing a legal document that needed to be sent in a timely way.Knowledgeable and kind, the ingredients that make for a return trip when needed.Thank you,Suzy Nicholson

2021-12-08Left a bad review but want to fix it because the driver made the employees look bad. It was a a lot of confusion about a package. The employees made sure I got my package! Thanks! But As for that manger responding back when He/She/It don’t know what it’s talking about. Be more respectful & Stop trying to be rude about everything. So I’m going to give it two stars just cause the manager is VERY rude and don’t be know where to be found. Seems like it just goes off he say she say!I wish I knew who the owner was with the smart mouth. Arguing with a customer WERID at its finest! When you need to be in the store helping with all these complaints!
