Three Dollar Cafe in other cities:
Food was nice the potato skin appetizer was delicious. Took a star off because my entree was a bit salty and the mashed potatoes were so drowned in sauce it was like soup...But over all they are decent. The server was very friendly and service was prompt didnt take long to get my food and the timing was on point from getting the appetizer to salad to entree.
The food is fresh and always cooked to order. I always order all flats lightly seasoned and lightly fried and there is never an upcharge or issue with my request for all flats. The wait staff earn their tips and are deserving of them because they continuously check on patrons to ensure that you dont need any additional food or drinks. They dont harass you about paying your bill and allow you to enjoy your visit without feeling like you have to pay right away or as soon as you receive your food or drinks. The smokers section (on the backside of the establishment) is well ventilated with specialized fans to keep the smoke at bay. There is a small outside patio next to the smokers section and there is a non-smoking section which is family oriented and children friendly. The non-smoking section also has an upstairs area for more privacy for couples on a first date. A great place to order takeout, stop in for lunch or hang out during a weekend night with your friends. Service and food are exceptional. Kudos to the owner and staff for making this one of my favorite places to eat.
Been going here for sometime now. IMO, strongest things about this place are relaxed environment, Buffalo Chix sandwiches, wings, and full service bar. Wait service is great! Food is fresh and they will blend your sauces upon request. They aim to please! Thanks to awesome waitress Stephanie for making my experience top notch.
Employees are not very great with Customer Service. Myself and another person with me. Walked in and no one said hello or anything. We walked in went to the back where there lounge area is and another bar. Sat down in the couches to view the menu. No server came over to us. The bartender didnt say hello or at least assist us in either placing an food or beverage order or something. We sat there for about 10/15 mins before just leaving and walking out.
Everything was good. The wings were a nice size and flavourful. The shrimp were bomb. The service was great. Constantly checked on me but not in an annoying kind of way. And I didnt even finish my food. The food is definitely worth the money. The drink i had was good. Not watered down like most restaurants. I live 35 mins away and will fit them in my schedule weekly. This is a must visit.
I always like the cigar bar section in junction with the after work vibe. However, the service in the bar area needs serious improvement. I’m not sure why they’re often understaffed but during high volume times, it would be helpful to have more than one server. (I honestly have gotten frustrated with it and stopped coming.)
I don’t stop in often but from time to time I stop by to have drinks downstairs. The female bartenders, Kat in particular, can use some coaching on customer service. Times that I’ve been there I’ve noticed she looks like she doesn’t want to be there, I’ve witnessed her yelling for a server to come down to assist her, yelling across the bar at customers, use profanity especially saying things about customers pissing her off and it’s like if you’re not a regular you don’t get top tier service. Seems as if the bartenders here more nicer to make customers versus females which is a shame because everybody regardless of gender a paying customer.
I was here just last night I got the extra hot wings which were perfect with blue cheese which was just as good. Also I got the margarita which was really good the bartender knows what she’s doing. And you can smoke inside I didn’t have any black a molds but this place is where you want to be if you’re in Marietta. I will be going back to try more items on the menu.
I love this place. Good drinks, good servers, laid-back atmosphere. Dont bring a fancy date here. This is a place where you just relax and drink. Some order food, some just smoke and drink in the smoke bar/lounge, some do both. The bar/smoke lounge is a separate area from the people who just want to eat. Though Im not a wing person, myself, most come for the wings. I hear they are amazing. My personal go to is the grouper. Any dish its in: grouper fingers, grouper sandwich, grouper tacos. Delicious fried or grilled! Hit this place up when you need a chill spot to drink and eat fish tacos!!
Hello customer care, I would like to submit a major complaint about your company Three Dollar Cafe located on Windy Hill Road in Southeast Marietta, Georgia. My fiancé and I have been going to that specific location for over seven years. It is the very spot where we had our first date and we first met. We both love to go to that location on weekdays and weekends. Especially when there was live music. In which the band members are some of our wingmen. Both I and my fiancé are combat veterans of the United States Airforce, Army, and Marines. On January 29th we went to your location in Marietta and after enjoying ourselves we paid our bill and went outside to leave. However, my fiancé changed his mind and said let us stay for a little more time. Once we went back inside, we were met at the back-entrance door by your bar manager. I believe her name is Mercedes. She told us why did we only tip $5. She then continued to say that we were no longer going to be served there! My fiancé asked her to repeat herself because he could not believe what she was saying. He said well I can just spend my $100 someplace else since we are not wanted. She asked was there something that she could do better about service to receive better tips. She should have led with that statement instead of the other. Once we tried to answer she cut us off and stated that we were no longer getting served at that establishment. We wanted to tell her If she would take the time to train her staff and not drink on the job, the service may become better. I do not know if she was drunk, but she appeared to be.I am very disappointed at the quality of leadership that your company has placed at this location specifically. Because we also attend your Kennesaw Georgia location as well. We live in Kennesaw but prefer to drive to your Marietta location because it is so dear to us. Now we no longer can be served at the location per your bar manager Mercedes. My fiancé says for seven years your company has gotten hundreds of dollars from our family. This is absurd to be told this by your manager just because one of her servers received what she believes is a poor tip. She also went on to say that we always gave bad tips. I know that is not true. During these hard-pandemic times, we decided to go out after being cooped up so long. And the fact we chose your business should be a great thing to the owner. Many businesses have closed during this time, mine included. It is ridiculous that your manager would treat us with such disrespect. My fiancé does not want us to return to either establishment now because of your bar manager. I am hoping you could do something about this so that I can change my fiancé’s mind about your company.Very Concerned,Akya WilkinsSergeantUS Army Retired
The food is decent, what I didnt realize is that they have a cigar bar down stairs. It has a bar with live music, couches in sections, and TVs to watch the game there. Its a nice atmosphere. The only downside about downstairs is that its a little sample smoky, if you can stand withstand the smoke youll be fine.
Quick and friendly service. Menu is on the smaller side with some good options. Food came out hot and tasty. Fries could use a little work. Low prices, beer is offered as well, though the selection could be larger. In the bar area they allow cigar smoking which lingers slightly into the cafe but overall a good spot for a late real meal.
The name says $3, but you wont find anything for less than $10 except the appetizers. For example: $7 for 4 cheese sticks. I felt the portions were small for such a high priced lunch menu. The inside was dark and lack luster. The food tasted good and was prepared properly, but the atmosphere made me uncomfortable. The music was fun, but there was nothing welcoming about it. No smiling faces, kind greetings, nor warmness. Even the chefs on the line wore scowling faces. At least our waitress was nice, but we wont be back. We did not enjoy our experience.
Very chill hidden gem off of Windy Hill Road! The best features are food, and the separation between the restaurant/family side and bar/lounge side. Great vibes food is cooked fresh to order Ive visited a few times and the service has been great. Nice safe place to enjoy a family outing or if you are looking for more mature atmosphere the lounge is great. The music is on point it also doubles as a cigar lounge. I recommend this spot definitely a good late night spot in Marietta.
The nicest bar in Marietta period. Couches and end tables in private sections with flat screen TVs everywhere. Cigar and cigarette smoking allowed inside the bar which is located in a separate area from the front of the restaurant which seems like 2 different places. The food menu offers chef style options from baked fish on a bed of rice and broccoli and toasted unique bread to their famous wings and pasta and Philly steak and cheese. The bar drink choices are long with daily drink specials. Conveniently located right off 75 near the new Braves stadium and Cumberland Mall.
Currently sitting at the bar and still havent been waited on. The young lady with bantu knots looked at us FIVE times and ignored us! She was so focused on her regulars, (the men) that she totally ignored us. This was my first and last time patronizing this establishment. I am in food service/hospitality as well, and the way she handled us was simply absurd.
My first visit to Three Dollar Cafe and I must say the service was top notch. We had a party of atleast 40 ppl. The whole Legal Shield team brag on the fast service as well as the awesome waiter Tristan. The food was awesome. There was a variety selection of foodies to chose from off the menu. Our drinks never ran low and we all ate at the same time. Customer service is our drive and we respect and applaud it when given back. We already have plans to have a social meeting there in the near future.Keeping rocking and rolling. I recommend this cafe to all visitors. Location is right off interstate 75.
I eat at this location at least twice a month and have so for years. The entire menu is amazing. They have great fish sandwiches, its almost the closest to a true deli in Smyrna. The waiters are very nice too ask for Chris or Dom they have been my waiters for a long time.
This by far was the worst experience with any of the three dollar cafes! We visit very often and the service is exceptional with the two gentleman wish I knew there name but today the young lady with the short twist was very unprofessional and unpleasant. I had to go down stairs twice because she never came up then 30 minutes after not seeing her she brought the check without asking if we needed anything else never received a refill never asked if everything was ok nothing !! The restaurant was not busy upon arrival and it was plenty of servers! The one tale gentleman was amazing and he was the only server! You are amazing!
This place has the best wings in the world. First time at this location, service was great but it is attached to a smoking bar. That is almost too much, next time I will do take out, but if you want great wings for dinner or entertaining you need to make a stop at 3 dollar cafe.
This place doesnt really have healthy options, but the burgers are great and the fries arent greasy/salty. The wraps are pretty good, and they really advertise the wings. I wouldnt personally try the wings as they dont have a boneless option, but to each his own. Because they dont have the boneless wings, I most likely wont return, but the food is decent. Very unique vibe. If you enter from the cigar bar side, you have to walk through a hallway by the kitchen to get ot the main dining area. Very friendly staff and the whole experience was excellent.
I went last week and walked in...no seats in main level dining room...so I walked upstairs and waited for severe to come up and greet me...server never came upstairs so I walked out and went to another local eatery.Suggestion....put a camera upstairs so staff can see if any patrons have walked in and went to the 2nd level tables.
Great place for a quick bite and or drink. Its sectioned off with family dining in front and a bar in the back. Smoking is allowed in back and the smell is apparent up front. The drinks are competitively priced and the food is decent. Happy to have this near home and work.
Yo, if youre trying to get wings in Atlanta, you need to be getting them from Three Dollar Cafe. They have a lot of great looking stuff on the menu, but who cares? If youre not eating wings here, youre making a mistake. (But seriously, if you dont like chicken wings, their burgers are *AMAZING*) Seriously a 5/5 experience just based on the food alone. Service can suck a lot, but when that food hits the table it doesnt even matter to me anymore. Theyll get you out fast enough if you get a good server.
Ive now had the burger and the wings and they were both great! Dont let the name fool you, it was worth the $9 with the giant onion rings. Theres also apparently a sports bar with liquor and cigars. Multiple tvs for sports viewing, a friendly staff, a full bar with a wide selection of beer and liquors and a friendly staff. My first visit here was pleasurable and Ill surely be back!
The WORST Three Dollar Cafe I have EVER visited!! It was 4pm on a Wednesday and I called ahead to order wings and fries to go. Got there less than 5min later and my food was COLD N OLD!! Im standing at the register looking and the guys cooking got an attitude. Idk what they expected when they serve old food!!She gave the order back to them and the guy dropped them in a bowl and re-tossed them in cold sauce, returned them to the box (didnt bother remaking the cold fries) and she tried to re-serve them to me!! I told them No thank you. Im quite surprised at the service and quality of this location because I have friends who work there!!No comment from any of them. Cant imagine what theyd done had I not been standing there watching!!Did I mention there was not one single customer there besides me.??Ill NEVER return. I did mention it to my friend and she offered to bring some to me next time I see her. Thanks, Phallan!! Wish everyone there that day were more like you!!And did
This was an okay spot. We went midday, and there was no one sitting in the front...nor anyone to greet us. We walked to the back, and it felt like a bonafide man cave. Lots of cigar enthusiasts, cigars, and smoke. I opted to just sit outside. The young woman with the short cut was nice. Hope she makes it to the general manager position!!
I walked into the restaurant in Marietta, Ga a little after 10 pm on Sunday night and was told that it was take-out only. This restaurant doesnt even close until midnight (per online closing time), so Im not sure why we were told it was take-out only. The employee was very rude to us and needless to say, we will not be going back because of the terrible treatment we received.
WHERE HAS QUALITY CUSTOMER SERVICE GONE?! My husband and I walked into this place for the first time to try it out, after leaving a different restaurant that we werent satisfied with. We browsed the menu and then decided to sit down. Behind us was a gentleman who sat down after Us, we sat patiently waiting to be help when we look up and see the waiter serving the gentleman that came in after us, that did not sit well with me as we were on a tight schedule. I express my disappointment to the waiter and he just looked at us with a blank stare. And then claims he didnt see us! When he already greeted us at the door, at least he could admit he was wrong and apologize. So we left and as we were leaving he begins to laugh and say good luck in a condensing tone. its truly a challenge to find a place to eat With good food and quality service, guess those dont go hand in hand any longer....
I made a To-Go order. Chris took my order and I clearly said Platter(I don’t eat fries). But the order was wrong and I get home(30 min away) and see that I had fries/Sandwich. I called the store back and spoke with a manager named Jay. Jay was very condescending and slightly rude. He advised me that I needed to save the food and bring it back up there the next day. I am extremely disappointed with the service.
I was really excited about trying this place. Ive wanted to check it out for awhile now. I really wish Ive never went. We waited for a hour to get our food. Just a cheeseburger and chicken sandwich. When we got there there wasnt hardly anyone there , but after waiting an hour seeing everyone who came after us get there meals the waitress start to notice our frustration l. Telling us twice that she didnt know why it was taking so long. Once the food came the sides were cold. My wife told her she couldnt eat it. The broccoli that came was still raw. After sending it bad an Asian gentlemen who was hard to understand came and told us that the broccoli was cooked. It wasnt. To have a manager come and tell the costomer that they are wrong is asinine. He said the he would remove it but when we got the check just minutes later he had not taken it off the ticket. I will not be returning to this location. They are in desport need of new management.
So first time coming here and there was a young man who simply asked for a cup of water and I believe the owner (an Asian lady) turned him away and said no. She was just sitting on her phone on a bar stool. My partner was nice enough to ask the cashier for a cup of water and give it to the guy. Next time be generous. You guys are ridiculous.
I ll occasionally get the fried grouper sandwich and fries as a to go. I work 5 minutes away. I was happy the food was ready when I arrived. However the grouper was not as crispy as I have had before. The french fries were not fresh. I also ordered the house salad for a co-worker . The lettuce was disappointing. I was not able to take the food back due to limited lunchtime . I expected better from this location.
The wings are good if you like spicy the hot and the spicy BBQ are spicy and delicious. Also if you order the fish sandwich it is amazing and gigantic literally like you are eating an entire fish we grabbed some extra buns and was able to have 2 sandwiches with just the one fish sandwich!! Amazing!!!
My experience was mey at best. The food quality isnt worth the expense and Ive seen better to go service at McDonalds.I placed a to-go order at 3 p.m. A guy with a squiggly beard took my order. He refused my kids meal order for my girlfriends daughter because I he claimed that i could not order a kids meal alone. I order fried jalapenos and a drink to avoid further confrontation and $6 turned into $15. I guess sales were down and they really needed a boost. To add insult to injury, he returned my signed receipt to, I suppose, insist on a tip. I didnt know a tip was expected for to-go orders. I added another couple of bucks.Anyway, I asked for ranch with the chicken (which ended up dry and disgusting to her daughter btw) and he didnt even ask about a dip for my jalapenos. Really, it was a waste of twenty minutes and nearly twenty dollars.I have no urgency to return; theres a Subway next door that has provided fresher food and better service.
You better count your wings! They short changed me twice and was unapologetic about it. This last time I called about the missing wing and was put on hold for 15 minutes. Hung up and tried to call again and the phone was busy for 2 hours. I finally got through to the manager named Jay. I told him about it and he said hed give me a 10% discount on another order of wings... Huh? What am I supposed to do with that? I said Id rather get my 1 wing. He said come get it. I told him it wont be until the next day because I was already home settled in. So after work the next day I went in to get my 1 wing... He tried to place an order for a 10 piece with that pitiful 10% discount he offered the day before. I told him I already said I dont want that. So I picked up my 1 wing with no apology. Also the cooks and the guy server were behind the counter snickering at me. An apology on the phone the day before would have avoided all this. Piss poor customer service in this place and I plan on speaking with their corperate office and the BBB. If they can be petty I can too...
Worst bar tenders Downstairs. Was out there a couple weeks ago on a Tuesday I believe at around 4:30pm.Bartender #1Took 15 minutes to ask me what I wanted to drink.Did not ask if I needed a food menuNo smile on her face, almost like she was doing me a favor for being in thereBartender #2 (who swapped out with the first)Took about 10 minutes to ask me what I wanted to drinkAnother 10 minutes went by with no status on my single drink (sweetwSwee 420)I waved her down and asked for my checkShe acknowledged that she indeed had not gotten me my beverage but did not apologizeYou have to do better considering the fact that there were hardly any people in there that afternoon. We ultimately left and dined at sage woodfire next door to you.Terrible terrible service!!!
Its ok. The downstairs is set up to be a cigar lounge but the humidor is not a humidor. There is a couple stand up cabinets with a small variety of cigars in them. Be prepared and bring your own if you are particular about your sticks. Great place for 45 and up type folks..
Great environment.... Very diversified.... Food was good as well.... I think the patrons made it more enjoyable.... Atmosphere is for family , bunch of friends meeting up....or just a couple that wish entertain each other with no pressure.... Oh did i mention, theres a cigar lounge also outside patio for those that like nature 😉
LOOK, the place sells beer and burgers. Both are good, neither are fancy and you dont care b/c youre watching the game in a placed called the Three Dollar Cafe. Its fine. Get drunk here, take an uber home, wake up on the couch wondering HOW you got home. Run around the house in a panic, check your wifes pulse.. This place has it all..
I dont understand why they call it Three Dollar Cafe because the pricing is very standard, and definitely not $3. However, the food and service is good and its a fun, casual atmosphere. The decor is dated but its charming nevertheless. I like the bar area and the upstairs. I had wings and the reuben sandwich and it was good.
The wings are great, but the customer service is horrible . A girl tried to steal my moms purse here . Smh. Not to mention, that when her and her accomplice were caught , they denied the whole thing even though the purse was found in her car. The manager never did anything and they still work there . I would recommend going to another location or ordering take out .
Staff was courteous. Swiss burger is filling n fresh. TVs everywhere. Nany spot is a good spot. This location has a bonus because kust past the kitchen, down the hallway on the left side, leads to a next door establishment which is a cigar bar fully stocked with all your favorite liquor. Oh, did I say cigars too? Ohhhh yeahhhh.
This is the worst 3 dollar cafe I have went to. Foreigners own the one in Marrietta, a big mistake. He charged me for a large blue cheese and he only gave me 3 napkins and no silverware. Bathroom was nasty & feces on the toilet. I told the owner I would not be back and that I was gonna write a bad review.
Soooooo.... I will NEVER call an order in again... this was the worst Ive ever been treated. I called over an hour before close time to get a quick meal, and then guy said Im sorry... we had a slow night so were closing early and then hung up on me before I could even open my mouth to form another word! How rude! This establishment should be closed down and they will never get a dime of my money.
It was was pretty good..we ended up coming in late.the grill was off and we ended up having to have something fried.the food was good although portions were small but the drinks were awesome.good price and our server Will was fantastic!!!!definitely worth another visit!!!!!!
My most recent experience was great naturally I returned today to enjoy an equal or better experience ... today I did not enjoy my experience ... the server today was definitely NOT as courteous, patient and genuine as before ... needless to say, today was not only disappointing, but I made a mistake by choosing today to eat my lunch @ the Three Dollar Cafe, Windy Hill Road, Marietta ... note to management: train servers to serve patrons as they themselves would like to be treated with genuine respect ... thank you ... humble patron
I like this place but I swear, literally half of the time I call at night (9:30ish) no one answers the phone! Its extremely annoying since they claim to serve food until 10pm. I have literally called every 2 minutes before and they just flat out dont answer sometimes Sometimes they do, but like I said it seems to be literally every other time I try and eat here they dont answer the phone. Decent food, but geez. I tried calling 4-5 times from 9:20-9:50 tonight andddd nothing. So, I found somewhere else.
I have been there twice..the first time i went there they were rude and my food wasnt good but i wanted to give then another try and this time it was worst..the girls that work there are nasty and got no respect for them self..i went there with my family and these girls were pretty much throwing themself on to my husband..what kind of place is this? NO respect..if thats how u make your tips well go work at the strip club..SO RUDE AND NASTY AND ON TOP THE FOOD WAS GROSS. I WOULD NEVER GO THERE AGAIN..IF I CAN I WOULD GIVE IT NO STAR...STAY AWAY..OH AND THE FIRST TIME THE OWNER WAS RIGHT THERE WEN THE GUY WAS BEING SO RUDE AND DID NOTHING..WHAT KIND OF OWNERS ARE YA??
My experience at the Three dollars cafe was the worst idea in the world . I have had food poisoning for the past 2 days . I advise anyone not to eat their chicken tenders . My friend and I both had the same thing 4 tenders and fries and for the past 2 days same symptoms !!! Be careful eating here make sure you ask to get chicken cooked well or you will throw your guts up !

2022-04-05I absolutely love this place, walking distance from the Cumberland supercharger. The best thing to try is the fried shrimp they use the wing flavoring in them 🔥🙆🏻

2022-01-03One of my favorite places to go, especially to watch games. Small with good vibes, good wings, and strong drinks. Sometimes the cigar smoke can be overwhelming in the lounge, but you can always sit upstairs instead.

2022-05-26It’s a BIG NO for me😮💨 I literally just walked out of here. I felt so over looked and I welcomed. When I walked in the 20 minutes ago no one greeted or acknowledged me. I asked the cook which way was the restroom to wash my hands and in passing seen a waiter and asked could I seat myself as I may. He directed be to the smoking area. There was a bartender and about four waitresses I saw. Three where on the phone, outside & having conversation outside the door a few steps away from me (I sat by the door) and the waiter that the bartender told I was seating have a half smirk and quickly over looked me. I sat uncomfortable, no water, greeting, acknowledgement of any kind so after about a collective 20 minutes I left. I suggest going here & sitting at the bar (I didn’t because I was alone and I don’t drink or smoke) because that’s who they cater to or in a group. I was looking forward to trying them because the food reviews where amazing but yeah, NO.

2021-05-08We came for lunch. Couldnt sit at the bar as it opens at 2pm now. But there was a nice crowd and only 1 waitress. The waitress was definitely moving quickly trying to take care of all the tables! Food was good.

2022-05-29Good fried mushroom dish… Just curious how the cafe got its name? Maybe they should have a side menu with $3 items? :-)

2022-07-11A great place to sit back and relax with a tasty cigar and yummy drinks. Customers and staff are create a friendly atmosphere.
