This was one of my favorite stores pre-pandemic. The stock was lower than Im used to and pickings were slim in housewares. But overall thats thrifting. Got some good finds for shipping overseas.

The FITTING ROOMS ARE STILL CLOSED. Like really at this point every sore has there fittng rooms open. I think they like the fact that you can buy the clothes if they dont fit you have to drive all the way back to that store and you dont even get your money back you get a merchandise credit thats exactly the real reason why theyre not open will not be shopping a t goodwill until they open there dressing rooms!!!

This is a really nice Goodwill. You can almost always find nice clothes in good condition, if you are lucky you will find excellent furniture ripe for renovating. Clean store, friendly staff!
I visited this location yesterday morning 05-25-20. I was putting my mask on as I was walking in when one of your employees rudely yells to put my mask on. I then answered her that I was putting it on so she snaps at me and says It needs to be on before you come in!! I dont have a problem with wearing my mask, but you should have someone that is more professional and not so rude to greet your paying customers. Also a employee walked in without his mask and all she said to him was good Morning Really??
This was by far the best Goodwill I have ever been to. When friends and family came to visit, they would ask to go there. I have been going on a regular basis for the last three years. However, recently I noticed things had changed greatly! Primarily the price tags. Things are no longer the great prices they once were. I ended up taking things back when I saw the price tag! Such a disappointment. Please go back to the way things were.
I went looking for business professional clothes in my size and on a budget. I’m a healthy well nourished sized mama so sometimes I have a difficult time finding good quality modern clothing for a decent price. I was not disappointed here. I found a great selection of modern professional styles in my size (XL). I know this is not always going to happen. However when I shop at Goodwill, I usually visit 2 or 3 at a time in one day and I nearly always have success with this one.
Best thrift store I have been too. My sister and I have so much fun looking for treasures. My sister is a teacher and finds things for her class. I found an amazing resort wear dress with the tags still on it for seven dollars. The donation drop is easy and efficient. The staff is friendly and helpful. They are open on Sunday.
Friendly help, but a lot of stuff isnt tested and sold broken, missing parts, and no returns. Be careful. I bring my own tire pump when testing a bike. Sell with flats, broken chains, gears not functioning. Some good deals if you check often. Owners retain way too much profit for the corporation rather than pay employees well or support the local communities.
Wheres the goodwill?My wife and I have been Goodwill donors for many years, and we have also patronized Goodwill as shoppers. We have always found the staff at the Whitlock store to be friendly and helpful, until yesterday, December 30th. After making a donation at the Goodwill center next door, we visited the retail store to make a few purchases. My wife is not a senior, but I am in my sixties, so she asked--as always--for the senior discount. I did not drive over, so I did not bring my wallet, and the clerk--who was not friendly-- refused the discount without an ID. Since Im obviously a senior, and it was never a problem before if I didnt have an ID, we politely asked to speak to the manager. He was polite enough, but still refused to allow the senior discount despite agreeing I look qualified for it. He said several times something about being consistent when checking people out. Were not talking alcohol purchases; were talking artificial plants and an office chair for a person who is obviously in his senior years. How about friendly, no-hassle service; how about common sense consistency; how about building goodwill for Goodwill? He cost his store some sales as we left the items we wished to buy. We will continue to donate to Goodwill as we believe in its mission, but not so sure well return to the Whitlock location.
Love good will stores!! This one is on my way to work and I stop pretty much everyday on my way ... the Managment is very nice and accommodated... but some of the stuff people in the morning are always in bad mood and rude ! If you are in costumer service business (as I am ) you need to have different attitude and if you do not like people ... go somewhere else .....
Stopped to shop, was told we HAD to wear a mask to go in. We left, none of the other Goodwills require this. Apparently you cant touch used junk from peoples house without a mask. We wont return to this location I guess
I really like this Goodwill location. The staff is always so nice and remembering of regulars. The store is pretty clean and organized very well. This location gets a lot of great clothing donations, very modern things not so old fashioned. You can always find a good painting or two here as well.
This Goodwill location is better than most Ive been to in Georgia. The quality of clothing is nicer and the prices are good. If youre looking for anything but clothing the quality goes downhill quick. It still doesnt have the quality of products Im used to most Goodwills across America, so I wouldnt return or suggest it to anyone. Im done looking forgoodthrift stores in Georgia.
7.18.20 Visited this store on Whitlock Avenue to get out of the house after an open heart surgery a few weeks ago. My friend picked me up so we could do one of our favorite things...hit the Goodwill! Walking in Kimberly rudely snapped at me about a mask, I stated I couldnt wear one right now and was medically exempt; I read on a Goodwill website that medical exemptions were acceptable. She said that didnt apply to that store because it was privately owned. Then she said ok and I walked on, but my friend was behind me and once I walked away Kimberly turned to the cashier a loudly said Well then she should stay home! WHAT!!! Kimberlys rude and condesending attitude is as unprofessional as it comes. She should NOT be working with the public, her comment was unnecessary. Dont judge people since you dont have a clue as to what their situation is. Put her in the back room....
Cleanest restrooms I have ever seen at a Goodwill. And believe me I’ve seen over a hundred. In my top 10 for variety and value of merchandise. Well worth a visit.
Fitting rooms are closed because of “health and safety concerns”. How does this keep anyone safe?
I had a ring in my basket and i went to the counter right next to my basket to get something that was locked up. Someone took my basket and i asked the manager to announce it over intercom he acted like he didnt understand what i was saying...he was condescending in his tone with me. A customer was right next to me and she admitted she just bought the ring...i got no support from the mgr...the customer will hae to deal with the guilt of that purchase and now goodwill receives a 1 rating.
Prices are pretty good. Found some really good kids toys, bicycle, rocky horses, etc. Worth checking it out. Things coming in daily.
Always pleasant staff and organized. Trying to figure out why a staff member, on 99¢ Monday, was going around pulling all those colors and taking them to the back (?).
I cant believe I left my wallet on the counter two nights ago! I had recently traveled and was carrying more cash than usual. When I picked up my wallet, everything was there. The original cashier, todays helpful gentleman cashier, and kindest manager assisted me. Thank you!
Love this location.Clean, bright, organized, GREAT priced furniture. Actually, this is the best-priced Goodwill that I have found in Atlanta AND it consistently has some of the highest-quality goods.The employees here are all polite and friendly and I find good stuff every time I go! I cant not over-state how clean and well organized this branch is in comparison to all other ATL locations.I have found everything from brand new Tory Burch flats, Moschino, D&G by Dolce and Gabanna, Tiffany, Ariat, Jusin, Lululemon and so much more.

Went to two different places of goodwill,.And the way very for no apparent reason,.one place didnt put one my item in a bag,. I ask for a bag and he throw it at my husband.. Here visiting from out of state,.but I know for sure I wont be back to those goodwill ever again..
I visited this Goodwill on Monday..the store was clean however the bathroom was disgusting!!! I couldnt even use it. I dont think its been cleaned in a year...🤢

Place is neat and clean. Budget friendly prices. You can find many new, with tag items. Most Other items are of quality brand names. Found really kool clothes here.

I love all of the Goodwill stores!! I Always find great, clean treasures. I also live in Sylacauga, Alabama, but it is sad that there are no Goodwills there.

Not a good store anymore ....some times you might wait 2 hours or longer for anything to come out...linen department is bare...purse and shoe department hardly has anything and yesterday an employee took a blouse away from me because she said she was buying it when she got off work.....really???? No wonder theres not much in the store for customers to buy

Staff doesnt greet or thank customers for their patronage and seem miserable. Also, cashiers need to apologize when they make a mistake.

This GW has a lot of merchandise, but many things were over priced, in my opinion.

This is a really good thrift store. I always find something and sometimes too much, you have to go often to get fabulous things. It’s also a good place to find furniture.I went in recently and noticed the air conditioner is not working and the poor workers need that.

2021-05-10My brother and son LOVE going to Goodwill to shop and I have always preferred shopping in other retail stores. Only recently Ive found a genuine interest in finding books for my collection. I also like looking for dress shirt colors that I dont have. 2022-07-09Never seen so many lazy unappreciative men in my life. Won’t lift a finger to help you load items when dropping off. I don’t think they realize or care that donors keep them employed. Very unfriendly too

2022-01-22Went to drop things off at the donation center today 1/22 @2pm. The employee there (did not have a name tag on) completely destroyed two of the items by throwing them on the ground. I said something and he said, its all good. No wonder this store has declined if they employ people like that. I would have rather kept these items than have them instantly destroyed

2022-02-16Well I noticed that there was double tags on items with lower prices and then a higher price tag. Then item didnt have a tag and of course I know sometimes I dont sell it but the fact that they didnt get anybody to come look at it to give me a price or even have record of it being sold was a little aggravating. You should at least have a copy of items being sold for them to pick up because I know theres a time limit they have to pick it up by.

2022-07-09As a bargain shopper, I love going to this Goodwill. They keep it clean and well organized. I can always find a bargain purchase.So Google asked me for an update, so here it is... another enjoyable excursion where I nabbed a $4 basically new collapsible camping table and good quality shorts and shirts. Feels like some of the smaller items are overpriced.

2021-12-15I found one of the items I was looking for and at a very good price. The store was very clean and well organized. Unfortunately, children were playing with toys and scattering them on the floors but their parents were oblivious to their behavior.

2022-01-11Some items are not worth buying too pricey to be used and broken. Can buy brand new at certain stores and for about the same price as Goodwill. Ill say 90% of the store is asking for a ridiculous price on used and broken/missing items.

2021-11-20Dropped off dishes. Willing to leave Tupperware container they were in because they are breakable. The employee Chris dumped them. He basically looked me in the eye when I asked him why he did that. He has zero pride in his work ethic. He needs to be fired.
