Best sushi ive had in awhile!!
Food and service was ok but definitely not up to what I expected
Let me start off by saying that I normally LOVE Tokyo, but havent been in a while. Im not sure if this is now a regular occurrence, or just a bad night for them, but tonight my service was HORRIBLE! The lady, who Im assuming is the owner, was so rude to everyone! She was pointing her finger in our faces to tell us to wait a minute and being very snarky when we couldnt understand what she was saying (mask played a roll in that problem) and when we would repeat ourselves to make sure she was getting our order or what we were telling her correctly. She kept taking phone orders ahead of me when I was standing there waiting to place my to-go order. When she finally took it I went to sit in the car to wait. She never told me how long, but I assumed about 20 min, because I heard her telling others on the phone that long and the sushi guy only had about 5 tickets before mine (only ordered 3 rolls.) I came back in after about 25 min and the guy still hadnt even started it! Shortly after I came back in the lady who ordered AFTER me received her food (cooked meals & sushi) and left. I sat there another 25 min while the line stacked up from the register to out the door, another girl passing occasionally telling me it would just be a couple more min. They kept taking orders, telling all of them 20 min knowing it was a lie and being so rude to everyone! It took over 45 min to get 3 sushi rolls!!! The rolls were very tiny also when I got them. I was very disappointed. The sushi guy was just going at his own little pace, unconcerned that he had tickets a mile long and the only one concerned with giving good customer service was the younger girl. She wound up having to go start my order. By the time I left there were 2 VERY YOUNG boys giving out drinks and running food. I have never had this bad of an experience with them, but it definitely left a very bad taste in my mouth to ever want to return!
Terrible experience.No AC, so very hot there.Our table and the bathrooms were dirty.It says its a Japanese steakhouse, but only sushi and some hibachi were available.We ordered the fried sweet potato for our appetizer. It turned out to be some low quality store bought sweet potato fries. Worse, we got them after we received our main course.They were soggy and inedible.We ordered sushi, 2 rolls each.They were either room temperature or very warm.Our drinks tasted watered down and much like tap water.I got sick on the way home. My wife got sick after we got home.A lot of pepto bismol and imodium were used that night.Stay away from this place.
Really good sushi but I wouldnt recommend the bento boxes. A bit too much for the quality of rice and sushi you get with it (the main meat is decent on the bento boxes). The sushi itself is good

Pretty good pot stickers but they call them something else lol love the Bento trays keep stuff where it belongs lol separate
The food was the driest chick and beef tips ever (Nott!! flank steak at best) and my husbands scallops were raw. There were fruit flies around us while we were eating and no fortune in my cookie.
Good food and decent service! Seemed a little rushed. They had a huge amount of to-go orders. They seemed to be doing their best! Making the effort for in house diners!
Its a little “hole in the wall” but SO GOOD! Well priced and delicious food. Give it a try!
If I could give it less stars I would. I have ate all over the U.S. and this place ranks pretty far down the list. Sushi tasted like gas was poured over it. Stay away!!!

Unfortunately not a good place to dine in. Its just not good.. the menu is dirty, the reception/waitress, I dont know maybe a little bit of professionalism.. the place itself is not pleasant to dine in.The food yeah its okay.. some good plates some bad plates... Didnt like their Guioza.Its a homie chinese restaurants like those on the street of china with the Japanese name.Idk I have a different view about restaurants fast-food and refine restaurant. Besides that it looks like its gonna be a nice restaurant - but its a fast-food kind thing. So its better to just order and leave.
Everything is delicious. I always get some sushi 🍣 along with my meal. Prices are reasonable, the folks are very friendly. Highly recommended.
Good soup and they didnt listen to my request on just mushrooms and zucchini p service sucked. They sat in a booth and ignored that I was there. I realise it wasnt busy but no reason to not check on me. Thats why you didnt get a tip.
Delicious, as always.Their Sushi is by far the best in town!But i agree with the lady below.... the young waitresses they hire are always rude... have been for years cause they keep hiring the same TYPE of girls... maybe they should try something diffrent.. i dont recommend to eat in unless you want attitude... but their food is awesome. Eat here, carry out only.
The food was SMOTHERED in mushrooms which we did not know based off menu and non of my family eats mushrooms so we had to pick our food out around it. The salad was tiny and packed into a bowl so small when you tried to mix us your dressing the salad falls all over the table. Their ginger is super thick and pasty. The actual meat was good but veggies were all cut up so small and thin was hard to get it on fork.
Food was terrible, its dirty inside. We wont be visiting that nasty place again.

So not pleased salad is lettuce with dressing, fried rice was just rice and sauce, white sauce was on table and looked gross and tasted like to much vinegar. I will be going back to Soho Hibachi with great pleasure just a few doors down. Dont waste your time in this dark hot place.
Eaten here a few times. Consistently good food. Sushi is good too. Good service and a nice place to meet up with family and friends for a good affordable meal. Never had a bad meal there.
Food is delicious and staff are great. Kinda disappointed its not a hibachi grill type place where they cook at your table but it was very good food.
This has to be the absolute worst place I have ever been. $50.00 worth of food and never got a single refill. Asked questions about the menu and the server told me she didnt know What it was. Didnt even bother to go ask anyone what it was. Not impressed at all. It really doesnt deserve the one star I gave. Definitely never coming back.
Some of the very best Japanese food Ive ever eaten and very kind staff. I live over 200 miles away but Ill make it a for sure stop on the way back
Very good. Nicely priced. Ate from the sushi rolls menu and was pleased. Some of the seats needed refurbished as the cushions had cracks in them.
Worse sushi ever. Waitress picked up my husbands drink to go refill it. Sets it down and forgets about it. Ive had way better sushi. Now I know why we stopped coming here.

Although the staff was quick and friendly, I got food poisoning from eating their sushi. Its a shame because I always loved the food but because I got so sick I cant handle the thought of eating here again. :(
I got my order to go and I kinda felt rushed. The wait time was very fast. The food was alright wasn’t the greatest thing I’ve ever had. Although the food was smothered in mushroom. I’d advise you guys to order without mushrooms.

I travel a lot for work and when I am on the road I always try to find somewhere to eat that has sushi. I was very impressed by the sushi and the service was nice and quick. This is definitely one of those places that I would recommend trying if you are on the hunt for some good and well priced sushi!
I went with my family and my service dog after work. We had a wonderful meal and great conversation. The waitress was very sweet. The Hibachi Chicken is my new favorite.

Ill start by saying the food didnt disappoint. It was really good when it got to us. And maybe if we had a better server I would give more stars, but she had no idea what she was doing and it didnt *seem* like she was new, but I cant know for sure. We asked what an item on the menu was (Yakiniku, turns out its beef tips) and she had no idea, said she had never heard of it before. I pointed out it was on the menu tons of times so she should have known what it was. Didnt offer to find out for us so we had to Google it. We had 3 children with us and on the kids meal it said the Hibachi meal comes with fried rice and glazed carrots but when we ordered the 3 kids meals our server kept saying no vegetables right? And we kept telling her, we want what it comes with and then when one of the kids meals came out she said kids chicken? And sat it in front of me, like it was my meal, and I said well Im not a child so this goes to my daughter and then my nephew just got beef. Nothing else. He was most looking forward to the rice the menu said his meal came with but we had to put in a whole nother order for his rice. $100 for our meal, 4 adults and 3 children. Like I said, food was good but we had to do a lot of explaining and reordering to actually get what we all asked for.
The lunch portion doesnt give much steak. For the price, its disappointing because I can always make two meals out of one-except here, just a bunch of rice. Also, the rice doesnt have any veggies or anything extra in it. Very plain.

Just ok not that great... I can tell they skimp on the quality of Indregidents so therefore I felt the price was a little too high, hibachi is better than the sushi for sure.

Good food but during these hard times they reopened as soon as the stimulus checks hit and started price gouging ! I ordered my usual there and they told me a price that was seriously double what I usually pay

The fish is frozen, not fresh. Service is great at times but is really hit or miss. Not the cleanest restaurant either. The food is expensive for what you get no doubt, but the best sushi you can get in Calhoun without having to make it yourself.

The food had no taste. The shrimp for the shrimp hibachi rice was cooked separate from the hibachi rice.

2022-03-20I’ve been coming here for 7 years and they are absolutely amazing!! The scallop Bento Box is awesome and their sushi is the best I’ve ever had. Very friendly staff and zen atmosphere.

2021-12-12Do NOT eat there.Im astonished by any positive reviews!This is the worst Japanese Restaurant I have ever been to!1. Dirty with boxes pilled up in the dining room.2. Waitress was coughing repeatedly.3. Waitress was eating and come to my table with food visibly on her hands.4. I ordered at 2:30, lunch menu said until 3, the waitress brought the check and the surprise it was double the lunch price...she changed me for dinner.5. Food salad they brought was NOT fresh, over piled with ginger sauce, so you wouldnt see how wilted the lettuce was.6. I asked for food to go. Then just paid for it and left it there. I was not going to eat there.DO NOT EAT AT THIS PLACE. IT IS DISGUSTING.

2022-02-06Tonight was our first and LAST time eating here. Honestly if I could give it zero stars I would. The restaurant itself looks very run down on the inside but I tried not to let that turn me away because I have been to restaurants like that before and it end up being the best food ever...However that was NOT the case here. First the soup and salad came out and I couldnt even bare the smell of the soup (I normally love Miso soup) then the salad literally looked like bagged shredded iceberg lettuce with JUST ranch dressing(which tasted like cheap dollar tree ranch). Then our food came out (chicken hibachi) the chicken was really chewy/over cooked and didnt have any flavor except black pepper. The rice was not authentic fried rice it was definitely undercooked boil in a bag with a little soy sauce for color. I literally took maybe 4-5bites and I just couldnt stomach it. Normally I dont waste food if I dont finish I take it Togo but it was so bad we paid, left and went and got a sandwich from firehouse.

2018-07-15Food is great. Always big portions. Very flavorful. Love the boat our appetizers come in. When you eat here i feel like you get more food than when you order togo. It has a sushi bar even tho you can’t sit at it for all the clutter and items around it (would be nice) looks clean inside... could use a update in decor. Price is far for the amount of food you get. Older waitress has a bad attitude if you ask questions.. while the younger ones are really nice. Would have gave it 4 stars if it wasn’t for the bar & attitude.

2021-07-23There is a reason they have received horrible health scores in the past!This was my go to place for hibachi and sushi but after my last visit I will not be returning.I ordered a salmon roll and a tuna roll while my wife ordered the vegetable lo mien.My sushi rolls tasted fine but about a hour or two after I ate I had extremely painful stomach cramps. Seeing as the sushi rolls was the only thing I ate that day it makes me believe there was cross contamination, which then lead me to being sick.My wifes lo mien was made from old freezer burnt ingredients and every bite was like eating a mouthful of freezer burnt. It was the worst we both have ever experienced.Unfortunately there are no great places in Calhoun for Asian cuisines, but I will not be desperate enough to try this place again.

2021-10-15Ordered filet mignon, flavor was good however, it was tough. I do order mine well done but that is pretty much everywhere and Ive never had a filet that tough before. They dont cook in front of you on a grill but food is pretty much the same a priced accordingly, so not as expensive as some of the nicer establishments. People were nice, if not for tough steak I would probably have given all five stars.
