Charged over $90 for a synthetic oil change. I understand many places will charge this amount, but it didn’t include a tire rotation, wiper fluid, or battery check. Things that typically come with all oil changes, at least in all of my previous experiences everywhere else.I specifically asked for a tire rotation because it had been about 8,000 miles since the last one. I took photos of my tires beforehand to make sure they were rotated, but it didn’t happen.I went to an auto store a few days later because my wiper fluid was empty, when I popped the hood I also noticed my battery had acid caked up all over it.
They had no idea how to work on my husbands sports car and they put his clutch on BACKWARDS! To make matters worse, we found A WRENCH IN THE ENGINE once we drove it, after hearing a terrible rattling noise from under the hood. Once we finally got them to fix it, we found other problems they caused as well! The owner is very nice and tries so hard to be helpful but with an inexperienced mechanic like COWBOY, his business will surely suffer more than prosper!
I took a my car YESTERDAY to get a newalternator because every time I went to use the car it wouldn’t start with out a jump. Once they finished the job they told me I my battery died. I brought a new one and they installed it for me. TODAY not even half the day has passed and I’m unable to get my car to start with a jump or a wall car battery charger. They were polite and they seemed have tried to give me a good deal for the price. I’m a 19 years old girl and with no prior experience with cars and a full time job that’s being put on hold because my car won’t start. People make mistakes and I’m very forgive and was grateful for they’re serviceyesterday, but I paid almost 500 to fix an issue and left with a car in perceivably worst condition than I brought it.
I have been taking my van to them for 2.5 yrs now. My last visit was my first one since the new management. I was beyond disappointed. I spent $350 for work to be done, that did NOT even fix the issue. Part of that was replacing a battery before asking if I wanted them to. I had to go out and buy a new car because we couldnt fix my van. Would have liked to know the money put into it was not going to fix it. That could have been my first car payment! I will not be going back to them! They have also raised their prices and taken away their military discount.
Hello, bad business!!! NO seating arrangements for customers. So good luck ... sit outside in the hot sun. No Wi-Fi so too bad you already miserable. No cab service in Hinesville makes it really better. If Im going to spend my money at this mechanic shop, you best believe, it shouldn be a comfortable experience. I am NOT recommending this shop to no one !!!
I have went twice to them about issues, although busy I was given a honest assessment of my truck! Told me the issues and got it fixed quick even helped me with some things I can do my self after to help keep my cost low! They want your business and are willing to show for it!
If I could give them zero i would. Went there in my uniform like over a year and half ago. All the guy seen was an AER loan walking in. He was taking advantage of military so if you are military dont have afresh hair cut or come in your uniform. Had an issue with bushings in my front diff. Told him I just want the problem fixed nothing else. Because I know how they like to add in a bunch of stuff I can do my self like breaks. Well guy came back told me it was going to be like 1200 dollars and the front diff needed to be changed because you cant change the bushings. Well I didnt know better but didnt have the money to fix it so I put it off. Called the ford dealership and they basically told me they were trying to rip me off you can change them and it was like 60$. Well was pissed never called them until a month,or two later because I wanted to say something to them. Called and talked to the manager and he appoligized and proceeded to tell me that the person that was working there at the time doesnt work there anymore. He basically told me yes he was trying to rip me off. What great customer service they are the cheapest place to get work done but watch out. Interested in a response from someone.
They really take care of you and wont cheat you. Had a problem on my diesel that even though they were able to locate and diagnos, they were unable to fix it at there shop. Usually just for that service shops will charge you 100 to 200 dollars. They didnt charge me a dime and were able to recommend a shop that could fix the problem. Highly recommend them to anyone.
I had them install a doughnut gasket on a 2002 Honda. Took 2 hours from the wrong part to be delivered and the right one to arrive. Took mechanic 15 minutes to take out 2 bolts and put in gasket and tighten 2 bolts. $85 bucks at 70 for labor $5 shop gees and parts. Total hourly rip off should of been like $30. I could see the mechanic telling the guy up front yeah screw that person before it came. Dont go there. There was a car there booked at 8 hours labor done in 3.5 think that made their pocket fat? Wonder who got ripped off. No such thing in a good car repair there. Doughnut still sounds like leaking.
My 1999 Toyota Camry was shutting off on me during random drives, I took it to Total Car Care Center because it was the closest to my house and I was charged a $85.00 fee for a diagnostic then told I needed a new throttle along with some other parts. The mechanic estimated $70 an hour for a throttle body change and he told us it was take 10 hours to do so. My light bulb rung and realized something was not right. I took the car another mechanic and he charged me $25, the car had a loose sensor and its running perfect!!!
I give 2 stars because they completed the work I needed with no problem. What I didn’t expect to happen was my property to be stolen out of my vehicle while in their possession. Yes I should’ve taken my stuff out, but you shouldn’t employ thieves and you should probably get rid of them when something like this happens. I filed a police report and didn’t hear back from anyone on either end.
***DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE****Got my exhaust done here about 6 months ago. Driving to Mississippi to see family and the weld job they did just came undone. Luckily the frame is holding it up. Truck is so loud its deafening haha. Hopefully they will fix it... doubt it.... now twin two year olds and 5 year old and wife are now irritated..... guess all the one star reviews were right. Had to check all of this while it was downpouring, so I am soaked.***DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE****UPDATE***DO NOT BRING YOUR VEHICLE HERE****Upon further inspection, the weld did not fail but there are several missed spots in the weld. The pipe fell due to it being cut which I did not see because its further up near the cats. They cut my pip a couple feet up from where they did the welds. I know it wasnt cut because I installed nears cats before they worked on it. Of course cant go to court 6 months later and say they cut the pipes being no proof but I know it was there before hand. Plus they didnt even properly do their job doing the weld. Complete garbage service and company. Dont come here for anywhere. Southeast Autos in hinesville does great work. Ive taken my vehicle there for a couple issues already and was very inexpensive.Not conflict of interest. I dont work there and have no association other than they have worked on my vehicle.
First off I want to say that I am a military veteran and have been deployed numerous times and during those times and engaged with lots of locals who were friendlier and more professional even though our beliefs werent the same. this shop has horrible services horrible customer service very unprofessional and petty. The personnel working at this shop refused service to me and vehicle due at profession of choice. I would not recommend the shop to anyone I know or even those I dont know. ZERO STARS
I had my oil changed here about 2 weeks ago. Yesterday my wife drove my car and it started shaking, the check engine light came on, and it had little power. So today as I got the chance to inspect, I drove it and it did the same thing and I could smell burning oil through the vents. I got backed and popped the hood to find the oil cap sitting right next to where it was suppose to be screwed in. No one has touched my car besides me since I got the oil changed, which leads me to the only conclusion possible. The technician didnt put the oil cap back on. Great job Id say. Nothing like paying $60 for an oil change for something so basic as putting the cap back on didnt happen. Luckily it seems like no damage occurred but no biggie considering I have driven at least 700miles without the oil cap on. Pure incompetence and a lack of attention to detail is what this is. I will never go to this place again.
So I took my wifes car up there for an oil change this morning, and everything was fine, until about 4 hours later (first time driving the car since I brought it home from Total Car Care) when the thermostat started running hot. Pulled the car over to realize part of the radiator hose was popped clean off. Had to have it replaced. Coincidence? I really dont think so. If it was possible to post without stars, I would. To add to the issues my wifes car had since I last went there, the oil change indicator popped up, and this is 2 weeks after an oil change was supposedly done by them. Pathetic. Ill be going up there to see about getting a refund.
I sent my wife in to get a quote on a window regulator for her car. When she came back with the printed estimate, the part was DOUBLE what I was quoted at Auto Zone. It was a simple job that I didnt really have time for, but I ended up doing it that following weekend in about an hour and a half. I wont throw my money out of the window. I dont care if its broken or not. What a rip.
Paid for a diagnostic test told the mechanic that I know my cv axle is cracked but my car is running hot when I run the ac and theres a leak under my car but Im not sure what it was. So When he was done checking my car he said yeah the cv axle is messed up but thats it. I asked about why my car was running hot and he said he didnt know that he would have to run my car longer than what he did when they had my car for 3 hours.
I do not recommend this company at all!! I would give no stars if possible. I went to the shop the day prior to ask what would be the rate for an estimate and I was quoted $25. I thought that was really good and decided to bring my car in the next day when I had more time. My car had a noise while turning both directions and I was eager to get it fixed. I came in the next day and as stated they told me what needed to be fixed which was well over $800. No problem but I wanted to discuss it with my fiancé so I told them I would come back for the repairs with the quote they gave me. The gentleman says its $25 as he had said previous, no problem. He swipes my card and says the machine went down. He turns it off and on again and asks to swipe my card. This time he says my card is declined. I told him that cant be possible, I have money in that account. He swipes again, declined. I said hold one second. I pulled my phone out, login into USAA, they had charge me the $800 and something dollars to my account!!!! I just didnt know because he said he had charged me $25 the whole time but my account was cleared!!! I told him what he did and called USAA immediately!! They asked me to speak to the representative at the car place, he acknowledges that it was supposed to be only $25. After following USAAs command, they reprint the last receipt and there goes that amount I was charged and the remaining balance owed since I did not have that money in my account. USAA stopped payment. Later on that day the company calls and says they need me to return with my card and receipt because they need to verify the transaction. They said that they were afraid that they refunded me twice. I told them I would contact my bank to make sure that doesnt happen but I would not give my card to them again. My bank said do NOT GIVE THEM YOUR CARD AGAIN. They can recharge u the amount with the receipt if you do and u didnt get refunded twice, the transaction was revoked entirely......needless to say, I am still looking for someone honest to fix my car.And my update: a fraud report had to be submitted because the transaction was charged on my account again.......
My car had problems when it when into the shop, but after I got it back it sounded even worse. And they charged me for several things that I didnt even want done to the car. It was expensive and the staff was not straightforward.
We took our 2006 Impala to Total Car Care as a first visit. I have owned the car for 8 years and I am anal about its care. The garage crew did a coolant flush, replaced the upper and lower hoses, and replaced leaking valve cover gaskets. In addition to the repairs we asked for, they cleaned my engine and removed all the oil that had made a bit of a mess from the leaks I had. They did a great job and took far less time then they estimated.
I got my tire patched at the 196 office for very cheap. In an out in less than 15 minutes. We worked with Matt, he was very kind and the shop provided great service!
Bought the car in to have an alignment and sway bar link installed. They tried to charge me almost $200 in labor to have it installed. It literally only involves taking off the tire and undoing 2 bolts. Took my down the street to another shop who put it in for only $30.
I went in for a oil change and the cost would be considered fair I guess.Just make sure to ask about hidden fees.Overall not to bad but definitely could have been much better.
Today I called and spoke to the mgr about getting a Bill Stein System engine oil flush and if they had the equipment for that type of engine flush? He said yes we do and it was $50 plus an oil change. I was excited because, I explained that I took my truck back to VA to have my engine done..So I took my Kia van in, and asked again to make sure he understand what I wanted and they could do it. He told me yes sir we have the equipment and so I gave him the keys. Well when my vehicle was ready, I was amazed they were able to do it so fast about 15 minutes, it normally takes at least 30-45 minutes hooked to the machine, then he began to tell me that he added a BnG motor flush then changed the oil and add the other additive and on my next oill change the engine would be done and thats the way they have always done it. I asked him then why did you tell me you have a Bill Stein engine flush system. I was going to pay for the service because they did a flush, smiling I handed him my card to pay. He took my card, then told me hes not going to charge me for the flush, I just got a free service, but dont come back to his shop again. Well thinking he was joking I took my Ipad and pull up the Bill Stein System so he would at least know what I was talking about. He said again I didnt charge you for the engine flush, just the oil change. Now get out and dont come back. I said, wow and leftBefore you pay for a service at this place, make sure they actually do the work they are charging you for.
I have a Jaguar and these guys do a good job of fixing any issues that come up. Also, something I like is they arent no it alls, if you tell them the car needs a different fluid or type of care they listen. They let you hang around the garage and watch how things are done, always friendly. They always seem to be able to squeeze me in as long as its a quick fix, never leave your car here and we will get to it when we feel like it type place.
I called them to get a price on a turn signal bulb replacement so i wouldn’t have to drive all the way to the Savannah dealership to get it done. I have a 2015 genesis 5.0 sedan, MATT told me it would be 150 bucks just to change the bulb. Said he had to drop the bumper which is a complete lie just to scam you out of money. He also proceeded to argue with me that you’d have to drop the bumber. Hyundai quoted me 20 bucks to do it. In the end i ended up doing it myself by taking one small plastic panel off to access the bulb after YouTubing how to do it. Long story short do not go this shop. Scam artists
Bought two tires and gave them specific instructions to put them on the front of my truck. They put them on the rear, and told me that they did that because the front bearings were shot. A week later my REAR bearing went out in it and almost mealted the tire. Also had the front bearings checked out and the mechanic told me that there was nothing wrong with the front bearings, and that they didnt even use the correct wheel weights on the tires. Dont use these guys!!!!
They were a bit over priced, and not very friendly. At least they werent rude, and they did fix the problem. But when I checked under the hood hours later, already two states away trying to finish my trip, I realised theyd left a greasy paper towel under my hood! A PAPER TOWEL! In a car with massive exposed fans, not to mention the universal fire danger! How stupid and unprofessional do you have to be to do that?
Girlfriend went there to get her rear hub bearings replaced. When she came home we smelled gasoline really strong. Realized the gas was dripping from a rusted line connecting to the fuel tank. Understandable that they might have nicked it by accident. I dont get how they would have missed it since it was leaking pretty heavy but okay, sure. What isnt understandable is that when we took it to another auto repair shop to get the line replaced, they said the rear hub we payed $70 to get put on was so loose you could unscrew it with your hand. Dont want to be too dramatic here, but my girlfriend was going on a trip the next day and Im horrified to think what might have happened if the hub flew off on the highway with gasoline leaking out the car.When we called and talked to the owner about this, not asking for a refund or anything, just letting him know what a catastrophe the whole ordeal could have been, he proceeded to get super butthurt on the phone and tell us how even though the car was leaking immediately after she got it home, and that my father was there to observe how the bearing wasnt even screwed on, that none of his crew could be responsible. Awesome way to run a business, dude.
They are not professional they scam you for you money go in there and get a quote on something then go to another shop and ask them the same thing they cheat people out of there money and once you pay they will leave your car sitting even if they was supposed to fix it bad service all around would not recommend anyone to them at all
WORST AUTOSHOP IVE EVER HAD THE UNFORTUNATE PLEASURE OF DEALING WITH. took my wifes car in for a broken Radiator then I tell the manager that I have an extended warranty that covers the radiator the manager Eric then replies to me with :WELL I DONT WANT ME OR MY GUYS TO BE ON THE PHONE WITH THE CLAIMS PERSON FOR HOURS TRYING TO GET THIS FIGURED OUT! And as Im explaining the simple 10 minute process to him he walks away from me while Im talking to him! Ive never met such a disrespectful unprofessional clumsy person they broke another part on my wifes car and had to replace it along with the radiator in my life! Stay far away from this place!
I was a little worried from the reviews but they showed me excellent customer service. They took care of my car issues very promptly and they had no issues using my extended warranty. I will return!!
This is just your average shop that covers common repairs/maintenance. I pretty much told the tech was recently installed and the very likely problems behind my ABS codes popping up on my scanner. Services were done within a very reasonable time and garage/tech rates were about average for the Hinesville area. Invest in your own code scanner and use this thing called Google...
First trip was good, second trip they wanted to charge me for the same things I had paid for less than 30 days prior. I am not sure if the management changed. The guys in the shop remembered me and came to talk to me about the issues. They are nicer than the manager.

My son was on his way to Florida from Michigan. The alternator went bad. He picked up and installed a new battery at NAPA in Midland and found out the alternator needed replacing. The guy at NAPA made a call to Chris at Total Car Care and within two hours (which included a tow from Midland by Blount Towing) my son is back on the road, picking up his friends in Midland and on their way to Florida. Oh yea, thanks to Sammis Towing for the first hookup from McDonalds to NAPA. Thanks to everyone who helped. Thank God I (we) live in America.

Just moved here in November and I have been hesitating taking my car anywhere, but they have done a great job with my car, and I will definitely be going back for all other auto needs.
Horrible experience they said they fixed the problem but when I went to pick up my car it was in worse condition than before. And on top of all of that they try and charge you an arm and a leg.

Had an alignment done here and 6 months later still showing the same wear before the alignment. They dont guarantee their work.

2022-07-13Ruined the vehicle and refused to correct the issue. I took my vehicle in to have timing verified due to a camshaft phaser install. I had not turned over the vehicle but when I turned the motor by hand it was making a ticking noise. This vehicle is less then 3 months from the used dealership I purchased it at and I was not prepared to risk the motor hence why I brought it in the a mechanic to verify timing first. I had brought it in and expressly said do not turn over the vehicle all I need is the timing verified. The valve covers, coil on plugs, number 1 spark plug and timing tensioner cover were all off at the time to further ensure that they did not turn on the vehicle. I received a call 2-3 hrs after having it towed there to verify which vehicle was mine, at which time I said again “do not turn over the vehicle just verify the timing”. I then get a call 30 minutes later saying that there is a bent valve or engine knock at which time I asked how they would know that without turning the vehicle on. The mechanic Matt said that he did not verify the timing and assumed that it was correct and turned it over by jumping the positive and negative lead. When I brought the issue up to chuck he refused to listen or negotiate a solution for the engine problems HIS TEAM caused. Terrible service and even worse ownership for their own mistakes. Owner chuck told me to get my lawyer and he’ll get his and we will settle it in court.

2022-06-07Pleased with service I received. Owner was nice and upfront about what my car needed. Called me before doing something extra my car needed. Checked rates for brake replacement for my car online and Total’s was right in line with that estimate.

2022-05-10If you’re military I highly suggest staying away from this place. My husband and I recently took in our vehicle for a diagnostic through our warranty company. At drop off time we were told it’ll be a while because they have several big projects ahead of ours. We said that’s fine. It’s no issue. As long as the vehicle gets looked at and we get to the bottom of the issue. Not even two hours after drop off we get told to call them and are told our warranty company doesn’t cover PCM issues and we need to take it to the dealership. Called the warranty company to find out what exactly happened or why it was denied, come to find out the warranty company was never even contacted. Nor were they given a diagnostic statement, nor did they send anything to them denying anything. They pulled up our account and there was nothing listed in the history for them even contacting the warranty company.And also to add, once we got the car to Chevy, they looked at everything, and it turns out the issue isn’t even the pcm. The pcm is fine, so is the starter, it’s the gasket, and the pcv pipe. When we pulled up to pick up the car, it looked as if the car hadn’t even been moved. It was sitting in the same spot facing the same direction.

2022-06-16Had my car towed here after it broke down, they were very friendly and understanding with the times I was able to be there. Even though they werent able to assist me, they definitely pointed me in the right direction. Would definitely come back here for any problems that I *know* is wrong with my car!

2021-10-15The receptionist was very professional and the mechanics were great. I got there at 8 to replace my catalytic converter, everyone said it would take a few hours but they had me done by 9! I will definitely be going back.

2020-11-06I bought a part and took it there to have it installed. Turns out the part didnt fit but instead of taking my money and taking advantage of my ignorance, the manager let me know that I dont really need the part anyway. I told him if I ever do have a problem with my car then I will most definitely bring it to them! Integrity is rare today with a lot of people. I highly recommend this shop!

2020-09-17I went in here because they’re right around the corner from my house. I would have went somewhere that only charges $40 to diagnose my radiator issue but it was cheaper to have my car towed right around the corner. I may have had to pay for $69.95 General diagnostic fee but then they did an electrical diagnostic that would have been $140 more but the guy I was talking to told me he’d waive that. Even though the diagnostic fee was more expensive, I could have possibly paid more at the other shop on the other side of town. Reason for 4 stars is not because they were unprofessional or anything but because I was quoted $243 just in parts when I found the parts for $160 and $11. Saved myself a good amount of money having someone I know fix it. Just needed to know for sure what was wrong. Was hoping it was the thermostat but it is actually the cooling fan that was not working. I was satisfied with the service for the diagnostic, though!

2020-08-28Complete and total rip off. Gas was put in my desiel truck and the key was never turned on. 100 yards behind the gas station was Total Car Care. I walked over and asked for an estimate to drain the gas tank. I explained the situation and told them I could push the truck over or get it towed. They quoted me 2.5hrs labor which was high but what ever, my mistake. He told me Id have to wait until the mechanic got back to quote me the total price. 30 minutes later the tow company arrived and the mechanic came out with his quote 6.5 HOURS OF LABOR plus he wanted to replace filters and a fuel pump. I used to turn wrenches for a living... never have I dreamed of ripping someone off this bad. I routed the tow truck to my house. I drained the fuel and refilled in under an hour in my dirt driveway. Total Ripoff is more like it.
