Tree House Savannah in Savannah
Great place to go for a good time in Savannah Ga. Would definitely recommend for a good time out on the town. The atmosphere is usually pretty awesome. It doesnt really have too much room so if you are an anxious person I would not recommend. Drinks are reasonably priced for the atmosphere. Dress code is laid back. You can smoke outside of the porches. Could improve the bathroom situation. Bathroom is right on the dance floor and were trashed.
Amazingly. As if the gods of all that is unsanitary and obscene deemed it so. This place.... is the same when youre drunk and its packed as it is when its empty and youre sober. The floors are always sticky. There is always loud obnoxious army guys drinking. The service is always slow.5 stars for consistency!
This place is the absolute best if you wanna go and just have a great time. Love, loveeee the music they play. The 2000s rap and songs that you can dance and sing along to is the best. The bartenders are super friendly and love that they get into the atmosphere by dancing and getting personable with their patrons. Keep up the great job!
Bartenders are great but I had two women (on separate instances) basically threaten me into buying them drinks or giving them cash. One said I broke her nail, the other said I spilled her drink, neither of which was true. This place might look fun, but it isn’t worth being bullied into buying strangers drinks just so their friends don’t jump you. If you’re a group of cute girls, avoid this place or the clientele will rip you off too!
Went here for a bachelorette party and had a great time. The DJ is great, the dancing is fun and they also have a band earlier in the night. Had two local beers here and enjoyed them. Looking for a club to dance at, fun drinks and want to try a local brew go to the tree house.
This place is a “must go to” in Savannah. They have the perfect space for inside and outside partying. The bar is pretty huge w multiple bartenders, so the wait is never usually long. The DJ is always on point w diverse music that everyone loves. Security is always present, so you’ll definitely feel safe. Kudos to Jeff for operating such a great place to party!!!
Visited the Tree House with coworkers during a seminar. Great atmosphere with a great vibe. Bartenders were great, and drinks were good. The DJ had this place feeling very much alive, and on a Wednesday night to boot! Great place to visit during a Savannah trip. Will be back!
Its a fun place, kind of a dive bar though if thats what youre into. Usually have live music or a DJ. Can be a little grungy compared to the more upscale options nearby. The staff isnt the best, but there are so many great places nearby that really set the bar high. All-in-all its a fun stop if youre bar hopping the City Market neighborhood.
This place is either dead or overly packed (to where you cant move anywhere, use the restroom, etc.) but its a great place to dance if you can time it right (time of night, time of year, etc.). Be aware that they will keep taking your $10 cover charge even if they really shouldnt be stuffing any more people into the place. The balcony is a great place to catch a view of historic downtown.
Had a great time!! Wonderful, speedy service with a smile. I lost my phone the night I went and not only did they hold on to it for me, they even charged it for me so that it wouldn’t be dead when I picked it up. Incredibly thoughtful. Super sweet staff! And whoever is in charge of responding to questions on Messenger, is also really awesome. They responded quickly and were so helpful. Thank you to the entire staff. You guys rock and I’ll definitely be back when I’m in the area.
Good stop that likely has live music or a DJ. With that. the dance floor is definitely used. They offer a full bar with the usual and interesting house drinks. Note that the creativity of the drinks will be reflected in the price. Enjoy responsibly- still recommended!
I usually won’t review any establishment that I never actually made it inside but I’ll have an exception for this one . My wife and I who are both in our late fifties were asked for ID in order to enter. Unfortunately my wife had left her wallet at the hotel as we haven’t been asked in over twenty years 😂.Now here when things go wrong and businesses don’t understand the importance of hiring the right people. The doorman could have nicely explained how things are done in Savannah and been understanding to us visitors being unaware of the rules. He could have invited us back later with our identification or for another evening as we are staying three nights and told us it’s worth returning as they have a really fun bar . But no, unfortunately it didn’t go down quite that way . FYI it was a weekday at about 8.00 pm and the place looked empty.
Was told it was 10$ in one line. 20$ in fast lane. Waited 1hr 45 mins got to the front and they doubled the price to get in. Not honest, loved this place before but not now. Even saw the dude put 40 in his pocket. Crooks!!! Go somewhere else. Great dj. But dishonest people at the front.
I been here a few time but most recently for a bachorlette party this weekend. It was free to get in before it got to crowded. The drinks were about 8 dollars. The paid a mixture of new school and old school hip hop. The DJ was on point this weekend. He kept the crowd dancing. I had a ball!! and they have these balconies were you can smoke and catch a cool breeze.
This bar was a great spot for music, socialization, and tasty cocktails, until about 1am. When they get busy, this bar utilizes a bouncer for the restrooms and his rules are very arbitrary. This bouncer wouldn’t allow my two friends and I to use the restroom together and accused one of my friends of having drugs on her because of her race. He manhandled her away from the bathroom and wouldn’t allow anyone else in with her. We spent over $100 on drinks and spent several hours in the club only to be escorted out by security because this bouncer believed my friend to be a troublemaker. Very disappointing experience - please fire this “bathroom” bouncer because he’s abusive, rude, discrimantory and unnecessarily aggressive.
I visited last Saturday. I guess this place caters to a very specific crowd, like those that like top 40 charts mash-ups. I give it 3 stars cause I am not one of those. Also, I moved from Miami and this place reminded me of the exact ones I’d try to avoid when I lived there. A lot of guys just standing around and several sloppily drink people. It was so crowded, with a balcony filled with unavoidable second hand smoke. For what it’s worth, the drinks reasonably priced. It was just too college-y, crowded, sweaty, and ‘eh’ music to dance to.
Dont waste your money at this place! I hate being taken advantage of. Bartenders will makeup prices for drinks and charge more just to collect a higher tip and then come up with terrible excuses as to why the same two drinks just cost $10 cheaper from a different bartender. If youre going to scam people out of their money at least get on the same page so its not so obvious
I went here on New Years 2019 and it was a fun place to party, however, the bartender who put my tip into the computer added $30 extra to it. I called the number on my receipt and the number on their website to try to talk to them about the problem, only to hear both lines had been disconnected. I do not suggest anyone go here as the bartender stole from me and I had no way reach them to try to resolve. I will NOT be going back.
First time in my life Ive ever been cut off. And not because I was visibly drunk (we were literally just sitting there quietly), but because of an imaginary 5 drink per hour law that definitely doesnt exist. Still wound up paying almost $100 for our tab, so thanks for cutting me off - you probably saved me another $100+ at least.
Walked into this place and was horrified by not only the music, but the crowd. Immediately went to leave and almost didnt make it out with both my flip flops cause the disgusting, sticky floor was like glue? Would not recommend this place unless you are a legit animal and want to get sweat on and stick to the floor. Terrifying.
My wife and I were visiting Savannah on our honeymoon and stopped in. The happy hour bartender was a hilarious guy who shocked me with his sports knowledge. My wife isnt a big drinker but he went out of his way to make drinks for her catered around her taste. We left and came back several times and were treated as regulars. Very accomidating staff and highly recommended place for a Savannah experience.
Would post 0 stars if I could. Worst bar ever. Bartender threw away my vodka soda sitting on the bar then blamed it on me for leaving the drink on the bar when I was 2 feet away. Management also told me thats what I get for leaving my drink on the bar at a night club. Its not a night club. Its a bar with 20 people in it and some of them dance.
Its ok, I try not to judge a place on one visit, but there are way better places in Savannah to spend time and money. Kinda dirty/run down, it could be more but currently it seems like they cater to the trashy biker types. That was the case the day I was there anyways. Also the live music that was there that day was horrendous (not the bars fault), and someone affiliated with the artist came around with the tip bucket. I feel this is tacky at best, but when she made it to my group and we said no, she got upset and said, its for the music, Ill not a damn homeless person. I caught myself, but was close to saying, if your boyfriend wants to make money, singing off key and missing a plethora of notes on the guitar isnt a lucrative business model. I gave them 3 stars for the view of the street and City market. Tree House because its on the 2nd floor, otherwise I didnt see anything decor/theme to make it worthy of the name. Good place to people watch.10/10 would say Eh, sure I guess we can go there.
They didnt have any whiskey or scotch This security was very slow to react to an altercation on the dance floor But thats just my opinion 9 minutes to respond to an incident is way too long and I was standin right there But all in all the people that I will with had a good time
This place is sketchy!!! Lots of illegal drug use and gangs here. No wonder why they have armed police moonlighting as bouncers. If you do risk going here pay with cash to keep from getting ripped off by the bar tenders. Be careful. These cops and bouncers are not friendly and the crowd that patrons this place is rough.
Night started off well but because of the overly aggressive bouncers, night turned to shiitt. Watch out all! If you want to see 250lb bouncers man handle women, this is the spot to go! Grabbed this random lady by her Face and throw her to the ground because he couldnt handle this 110lb lady. The owner needs to fire all of these people. Luckily I dont live here otherwise I would peruse charges. This place is drama waiting to happen. BE CAREFUL HERE
I was discriminated against and had the “security guard” at the front door turn away me and my friends simply because I have a medical alert dog. This establishment clearly doesn’t know the laws. When I tried to explain what the ADA laws say about service dogs (that they are allowed all access to businesses, restaurants, hotels, etc.) he wouldn’t listen and would not allow our group to enter. I told him he was discriminating against me because of my medical condition and he replied with...”I don’t care.”Clearly this business has not been educated on how to treat people with disabilities.
In a town overrun with the hoity-toity bistros and white linen eateries, this place is a breath of fresh air. Its a bar with just the right amount of dive combined with non pretentious staff and patrons. When you have had enough of the fluff and just need a good drink, climb on up to the Tree House in Savannahs City Market district.
Ha e to give it one star as for reason belowWe went here last yearReal nice , music was greatBut this year we were downtown and my wife didn’t have ID , she left pocketbook in hotelThey wouldn’t let us inWe are in our 60’sI wish we looked under 21The bouncer at door said no ID no admissionI this establishment should let bouncers at door use some common senseThey did recommend another bar with music somewhere elseWe never found itWent back to hotelDon’t think I’ll visit Tree Top next yearJust think if bouncers don’t allowI was in business myself and in business everything is numbersJust think if bouncers don’t allow 25 people a night because of ID problemsThat’s 9000 per yearAt an average spent of 30 dollars perThat’s $270,000 at at profit of 60%That $162,000I think I would let common serve more of a guideline
I told them my Cuervo wasnt Cuervo and I was told what do you want me to do about it. They had it in a cuervo bottle but it was a bottom shelf liquor, it taste like Pepe or captain tequila. If you dont have it fine, say that but dont make me pay $12 for a drink and your giving the $6-8 drink.
🔼They gave my credit card to a complete stranger after I opened a tab at the bar.-I was out of town visiting Savannah and went to this hole in the wall bar with one single unsanitary bathroom that connects to the dance floor with a door that doesnt lock.-After giving my credit card to the bartender to open a tab for watered down drinks, when I attempted to close my tab they were unable to retrieve my credit card.-The bartender insisted he had given it to someone associated with my party. There was only 1 other person other than me that had not attempted to retrieve my card either.-They have no system to ensure their patrons credit cards are not being given to strangers.-Someone claimed my credit card and started making fraudulent charges across Savannah. I was stuck in another city with no money until that following Monday. Not to mention the ensuing frustration of waiting 10 business days to obtain another credit card, rearranging automated payments associated with the card, etc.-The manager showed no remorse or accepted any responsibility for aiding in identity theft. Infact stated that I didnt need to get an attitude with him.-There are so many great places to visit while in Savannah. You could find a bar just like this in any shady part of a college town.❎ Visit the real Savannah and avoid aggressive bouncers. Watered down drinks, an unsanitary bathroom..all mismanaged for your dissatisfaction.
Generally a fun night out - with one MAJOR setback. One of the girls we were with got her phone stolen out of her purse there (and the cops inside - yes, there were on-duty police officers inside the bar - did not seem surprised by this at all) . Watch your bags and pockets if you decide to try it out!
Wondered in for a jjager bomb with the bestie. Savannah local, born and raised. Had the pleasure of reuniting with my favorite person I hasnt seen in years! Great service. Chill atmosphere. Kick ass bartender...Joe truly enhanced our experience with his charm and spunk. Love
Went in with three ladies. Had a drink and I am 70 years old. When I went to the ladies room and opened the door. A blonde was in their and I did not know of course that the lock on the door evidently does not work and she cursed me for everything that you can imagine. She was every bit of 23 or 24. I felt like the best thing for me to do is leave and that is what I did. This was Sat. April 30 around four oclock. Guess that is not the fault of the club but I will not go there again.
My experience at Treehouse last Saturday 8/4 involved being verbally harassed by the bouncer when I asked why theyre charging girls $5 cover, I think its extremely tacky to charge girls for a cover especially before midnight. The whole point is to attract customers to your business, to buy alcohol etc. Mind you my cowokers who got in without having to pay a cover before us made me think this bouncer is pocketing peoples cash. The bouncer continued to berate me after I paid him and called me names and said that I shouldnt be telling him how to run his business, when I simply asked a question. I was with a large group on a work trip and the cowokers behind me said he continued bad mouthing me after I left the line, which I thought was trashy, disrespectful, immature and unprofessional. I got inside and it smelled of sweat and BO because it was so crowded with a bunch of college kids overtaking the main dance floor bar area, I immedaitely left displeased with my entire experience. Savannah Smiles will be the only establishment I trust from now on in Savannah! This place sucks.
The Tree House truly lives up to its name. From the moment you walk through the front door and make your way up stairs, the atmosphere is not only amazing but electrifying. The staff is highly professional and super friendly. Everything from the jungle decor to the magnificent DJ makes the location my new favorite spot in the Savannah night life.Though they do not have draft beers, the stocked beer selection is top notch. With a unique specialty drinks like Liquid Marijuana and Savannah Grammar to some tasty shots like the Acid Trip, Pineapple Upside Down cake, and Morphine Drip.Every other bar in the area just seems like another dive. The music is awesome. Live performers that know their craft to the letter and an exceptional DJ that can mix any top 20s hit with great dance music. This place is worth checking out, if your in town, especially on the weekend. and its one of the few locations in the area where you wont have to leave the bar to smoke. You just walk out onto one of the balconies.
I am disgusted to learn that Tree House kicked out a lesbian couple today because one had their arm over the shoulder of the other. Homophobia and discrimination is abhorrent in a place of business such as this. I do not recommend even giving so much as a side eye here. I will NOT ever be spending my money here again.
If I could give it ZERROOO stars I WOULD!! Their drinks are WATERED DOWN and they have a dumb dress code policy! No t shirts OR jerseys!!! Thats PATHETIC !! Its not like its some fancy club, its literally some hole in the wall that youll take a piss or poop in!! Not worth the money or TIME!! And the door guys are RUDE
It’s a nice atmosphere N the music was great but I order two liquid marijuana which like a house special for them for a friend and I. It tasted like soda I didn’t taste any alcohol and I asked my friend didn’t he taste anything and he told me no but it made a good soda and I know some bars have their nozzle set to 2.5 but you couldn’t taste anything so that’s why they got one star the crowd and the music was great but when your service isn’t up to par I have to give you thumbs down.
👉NEED AN UBER?ENTER CODE: VPU8H ......FOR A DISCOUNT ON YOUR FIRST RIDE!!!!!!👈Great Vibes and the locals are even better😂. As packed as it gets, surprisingly enough its pretty easy to get a drink. The bartenders are A-1 and heavy handed 🙃😎lol. Best drinks IMO..... LIQUID MARIJUANA and BOB MARLEY.👉NEED AN UBER?ENTER CODE: VPU8H ......FOR A DISCOUNT ON YOUR FIRST RIDE!!!!!!👈

2021-12-29I will put 1 star because i cannot put anything less than that. While the music was great (specially the live band) the service was absolutely awful! DO NOT ASK FOR ANY MIXED DRINKS, the bartenders do not know what a shot of alcohol is, i was sipping on cranberry juice…. Not only that but when another person there called them out they kicked him out!! So me and my friends made a decision to leave and go elsewhere. Don’t waste your time coming here….

2022-02-12Spent $30 cover charge for 3 people. Then immediately when purchasing drinks was told that there was a $10 minimum charge on cards. Bar tender wanted to open a tab and keep the card. I told the bar tender to immediately charge the minimum and close the tab and return the card. The bar tender didn’t follow through and left to help another customer. Another tender, who I assume was a manager, came and asked if I needed anything. I told him that the tab needed to be closed and card returned. He immediately asked if there was a problem. I said yes, since the other tender left and didn’t follow through with what I asked. This tender immediately without any hesitation or question, notified on staff Law Enforcement to remove myself and my party from the establishment for having a “problem”. I told law enforcement that I disagreed with the $10 minimum charge practice and keeping cards and requested the tab to close. Law Enforcement who was paid staff said that the business wanted us to leave and they were there to ensure we left. TR:DL this place is only here for your money and holding your charge card. Their business practices are confrontational to say the least. They do NOT care about customer service.
