Free at last! I just closed my last account here. Went inside to close it and confirmed why I left SunTrust since the merger with BB&T. Poor customer service - extremely slow and unprofessional. I am hoping my new bank is better. SunTrust was fine for 7 years until this year. If you’re looking for new business banking - go elsewhere! Run!
HORRIBLE customer service!!! i went in to finish my business account information. My account was already open i just needed to pay my deposit and sign a paper. I advised the branch manager HAI T. PHAM that i had did most of my paperwork online and i was just coming to finalize things. He asked me for my id card then asked me to step out the office. This was my first red flag. I do business with at least 3 other banks and never has an associate asked me to step out when the information is concerning my account. Once i came back in he had my paperwork ready and tells me my account is not open and will take 2-3 more days to open. I had already spoken with a representative the night before discussing the matter, which she advised me my account was open and just to go in and finish your process. Mr HAI T PHAM did things his own way. I also had emails verifying the information that i had provided. Mr Hai T Pham made me feel like i was some dumb n word. I even told him, hey man i feel like youre giving me a hard time. Which he never answered. He was very unprofessional and if their were any problems i was there to discuss them with him. Mr. Hai T Pham is the vice president / branch manger at this location. I hope no one has to deal with the level of disrespect and racial profiling i just went through. After i left i called the 1800 number where they also advised me my account was open and that i just needed to make my deposit. Again, Mr Hai T Pham did things his own way. Very unprofessional to be the branch manager. I WILL NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION AGAIN. If i could give negative stars i would. No one should have to deal with racial profiling and discrimination. I am very upset with how things were done at this branch. Suntrust should pick their representatives more effectively, especially ones with any racial demeanors.
I needed to add my son to an existing account. I waited for over an hour and half and not one of the reps ever gave me a wait estimate. Just kept saying a few more minutes... terrible service. Simply providing an estimate could have saved me the time. Sharing the knowledge of the time needed would have allowed me to determine if i wanted to wait that long or just come back. False promises waisted my time and i ended up having to leave and never got help!Terrible wish 0 stars was an option
Please remove all important funds you own out of this bank. The announce announce my Balances out loud with people in the room. They Lose our Checks on a usual bases from our clients. They have costed us almost $1800 in fees with our factoring companies and insurance. These folks are bad business and will call corporate to disrupt your account secretly even if they just feel like they dislike you for no given reason. What a shame... this is supposed to be a bank. They have a bunch of females that I have looked up and almost all of them went to school together or are related running this bank as if it was a family owned business. Im pullling out all my funds and closing today and suggesting my 2 other colleagues with multimillion dollar account to do so as well.

2022-02-28I had the same issue as everyone else waiting at the bank today. Debit card wasnt working. You would think the employees would think hey a lot of our customers are having the same issue and we cant resolve it. We should tell them to leave. Instead they called fraud prevention over and over again for each customer and waited??? Fraud prevention didnt answer any of their calls so they wasted my time and everyone who waited.

2022-09-13This is the absolute worst branch to go to you can really tell that it use to be a sun trust The ladies are so rude they only have one banker who can do a wire transfer they want me to wait 45 minutes on a Tuesday thanks but I’ll pass

2021-09-08No greeting upon entering the establishment. Three employees were busy talking amongst themselves in a corner having a conversation that could have been saved for the break room. Definitely could have used that time to assist customers and acknowledge customers walking in. Always inconsistent and poor service at this location.

2022-02-04The manager Zachary Zulock is amazing. He has such a refreshing attitude, and makes all my visits easy. I work at GameStop and he helps me all the time!

2021-07-10Sooo slow, long lines, people who come to this suntrust must have like 7 transactions. The wait is absurd, drive thru or inside. Suntrust in general has the worst customer service and they are always behind in technology

2021-08-14I do not recommend SunTrust Bank in Duluth. My husband and I talked to a banker Tonya Wade, she was very impatient and unprofessional. She is not listening to her customers, also showing her frustration and stress toward her customers. Tonya was not fully understanding the issue that I faced well then she started showing her frustration. While we were talking to her, Tonya suddenly threw her pair of glasses and made us feel very uncomfortable. Her unprofessional and aggressive behaviors need to be addressed to HR and SunTrust customer service.

2021-03-13I am only giving 1 star out of the customer service from the banker I spoke with in person, but the institution itself is a joke! Do NOT bank with Suntrust! I was a customer and someone got ahold of my daughter’s banking info and made up fraudulent checks and somehow managed to deposit them AND cash them into our joint account. I submitted proof that this was a fraudulent act and submitted police reports and verified handwriting discrepancies and all. They did nothing. They didn’t even go so far as to check atm cameras. They took my hard earned money and closed my account.But it gets better....Recently I was a victim of residential fraud and my new bank was able to determine that the wire transactions I sent were going to a Suntrust account holder. I filed a police report and my bank contacted them. I even went as far to go to a branch and show my police report and they were able to see the account holder’s info and yet still did nothing.This bank is only interested in taking and keeping your money no matter what expense it greatly costs you. You have a plethora of other banks to choose from-don’t be like me. Choose wisely.

2020-12-30Had a very long line today at the drive thru. I wondered why and called the branch. The manager said: “if there is a long line, then it is a long line.” Ok?! Why? “Because we only have 1 teller working!” Then why the hell you’re not helping her??? Hire some more! Do something. How slow can this teller be? Helping 1 customer for more than 30 mins? Bank teller, not story teller. Very frustrated with this incident!

2020-08-03Horrible horrible horrible horrible customer service from the teller. No accommodations no empathy no care no nothing to their customers during this hard time of Covid pandemic. This branch on pleasant hill road cross from Gwinnett Mall in Duluth Georgia is horrible. Would not give us a withdraw slip after we waited for 30 minutes in line at drive thru. Teller was very rude, took long time and then acted rude again. My entire family bank with Suntrust and look like they will lose all of our business because of this one horrible employee. I pray their branch manager Or Regional leader will realize this and correct it before they become well-known for their horrible customer service. A terrible bad mark on Suntrust. What a shame

2019-05-31Not only is SunTrust the worst bank you could work with right now, but the people at this location are pathetically slow and absolutely love saying theres nothing they can do for you so that they can stay sitting on their butts. SunTrust has the technology to email you about an overdraft fee for a transaction that doesnt even show on your statement but they dont have a system to warn you before an overdraft hit. Over $3000 moved through my account this month and I was still charged a maintenance fee. Then in the same month I just had an overdraft of .04 cents and they still are robbing me of $36 fee. These people are evil, bottom feeding pirates that give you no method of recourse.
