Fast, Friendly and Efficient service. All employees I came into contact with was personable, respectful and helpful. That is a rare these days! Being a customer service professional for over 30 plus years I too know the difficulty in producing this type of results. So I tip my hat off to you and whomever is the manager for this location. The staff or the body can only reflect that what the head is producing. Well done, well done and again I say well done!!!
First the reservation was made for 7:00 a.m. since the place opens at that time it is waiting until 8:00 a.m. that the manager of the place arrived, the lousy service and at the last minute they would give you an estimate and at the end of the day they give you another with other charges changed by themselvesHello, good morning, I do not understand why such a high charge if the estimate was for 40 miles, the insurance was 14.00 that in the estimate that they gave me in the morning was $ 94.26. In the afternoon I return and they send me the second estimate, I only used 26.20, plus they changed my insurance to 28.00. with a total of $ 162.23, changes that they make if the presence of only one I ask them to correct that error
This was a horrible experience. Ive used u haul several times before and have never had anything like this happen, nor did I even think this was a thing that could happen: I was scheduled to pick up a truck at 8am from a location that was about 3 minutes from my house. I pulled into the parking lot, opened my reservation to check in on my phone, only to see that my pickup location had been moved. Not only was it moved, but it was moved to somewhere that was about an hour away from my house, which is even farther than the distance of my entire move. As we were on a very specific time crunch and had movers coming to assist us, I didnt have time to spend 2 hours picking up a truck that shouldve been at the location i ordered it from in the first place. I called customer service and was placed on hold for over 25 minutes. I also initiated chat on the website but never got a response. When someone finally answered the phone, she was pretty rude and unhelpful and she told me that it stated in the contract that they could just change the pickup location at any time. Thats a ridiculous and horribly inconvenient policy, but whatever. This is an incredibly important piece of information to know. Im guessing about 2% of people, if that, read the entire contract before signing, especially when its online, so the fact that this very very important piece of information was snuck somewhere in the fine print is insane. If u haul can change your reservation at any time to a location thats an hour away, that policy should be in bold writing, right in the middle of the page. Ridiculous policy aside, the biggest issue was that I was never notified of this change. I found out the morning of. The rude woman with customer service said well someone shouldve called or emailed you about the change that never happened. I was never notified that my pickup location was moved over an hour away last minute. I checked on my reservation the night before my scheduled pickup as well just to make sure I didnt need to do anything else, and the correct pickup location was still listed. So sometime between about 8pm the night before, and 8am the morning of, the truck I was supposed to pick up just disappeared and apparently wasnt available at any other locations except for one that was an hour away. Again, I was never notified of this change. We called about getting at least a partial refund for having gone through this massive inconvenience that messed up our entire scheduled moving day, but was told there was nothing they could do. The next time I move I will not be using u haul. This was such a disappointing and frustrating experience. The fact that I wasnt notified of this last minute change is the worst part. It seems like a stupid policy to begin with, but not notifying people that their reservation has suddenly changed and they will now have to drive an hour to pick up their truck is just negligent. I probably wouldnt have gone to the trouble of writing this review if we had gotten some sort of refund or even an apology and a promise to do better, but we received neither of those things. Do better.
Super helpful staff. I rented a 10ft truck with my car on a trailer hooked up to the truck. Even before getting anything the staff here were amazingly helpful in reserving my truck and getting me the rental I wanted. When I arrived everything was setup and ready to go including the fluids checked and the trailer hooked up. I was fully and thoroughly assisted in loading my car to ensure a safe move. The staff was always very professional and had a great attitude!
They rent you the truck, they give you a price and they charge you another price when you deliver it. The truck was delivered to me with almost a 1/4 and on the paper it had less than 1/2 tank on it. The estimate was 102.87 and they charged me 154.10. flagpole with fewer miles than I put approximate
Miss chantel was very nice and helpful I accidentally forgot to turn my dolley back in and was gone bring it back In the next day came in the store because i couldnt get through the phone line and Kesha was very unhelpful and nasty about the whole situation i just smiled and left i refused to let any take me out of character thanks miss chantel.
The manager is very rude, its always something or someone blocking the entrance and they have no security my unit was broken into and they try to say i did it the employees are rude as well alot of drug activity going on i wouldnt recommend this location to no one .. very very unprofessional your leave every thing at risk dealing with Christina and her crew they all do drugs.... think about it and they only want u to rent the bigger units they well be quick to tell you they out of the small one... good luck ( smh)
There was a small hiccup where the agent and I discussed a 4 hour window, but my contract said 3 hours, however the agent upon my return kindly took care of the discrepancy. I came to this location after a reservation I had was not able to be honored at a different location. The Uhaul agent I reached on the phone was so helpful and quickly found me a truck nearby. The agent who greeted me at the Forrest Hills location, knew my name when I came in, she was awesome, even recommended some boxes as she saw me looking, which I purchased. The one hiccup with the hours was small oversight, but she was awesome. The agent on my return was great as well. This will be my preferred location from now on.
I called to inquire about multiple units for my business. I spoke with Summer. I was told the information could not be provided to me. I was then immediately hung up on. I thought this was rude but called again to clearly explain my question and was placed on hold for a very long time. I called from a different number while still on hold and was answered immediately then hung up on. I continued to call back at this point furious and was continuously placed on hold and then hung up on. THIS WAS THE WORST DISPLAY OF CUSTOMER SERVICE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.
Manager (older female)was extremely rude & very unprofessional.. When I arrived, I received a quote higher than what was told on the phone because the manager charged excessive mileage. It took nearly 5 day to receive a refund. This location made a stressful event 10x worse!!!!
Out of all the U-haul that I have used in the Atlanta metro area this location is the best.You get courteous, friendly service here. Do not pay attention where the U-haul location is. Despite the location, they are very clean and professional. If you need a U-haul, this is the place to get one. You will not be disappointed. Clean and reliable vehicles.The vehicle on our last visit was brand new. It had ONLY 5 miles on it.
We brought our truck back to this location fueled up and clean, approximately 3 hours later than the stated time on the contract. Other trucks were packed on this lot and office is in less than desirable condition. We were told that everything is good to go and went on our way. Later found out that U-Haul charged our credit card for an extra day saying they lost two reservations due to the later drop off... while other trucks were onsite. We tried to resolve this through U-Haul customer service email, emailing the manager of this location, and then calling. Had to follow up every step of the way to figure something out. We cancelled our next reservation in October and will go elsewhere from now on.
Veeda (I think was her name) was fantastic from start to finish. She helped accommodate us even though we were late for our appointment due to unexpected moving challenges. Once we arrived, she also handled our transaction and helped attach the uhaul trailer to my brothers truck. She was so helpful through the process. Thanks!
Worst truck rental experience I have ever had. Truck broke down...had to wait 2 hours for roadside assistance to tell us that truck was broken...Duh. Had to wait another 2 hours for tow truck to arrive and tow us to the worst hotel we have ever stayed in where someone tried to steal my motorcycle. Next day, U-Haul towed us to a U-Haul location that was closed and had NO working replacement truck...the replacement truck was also broken. We had to wait and wait...with no bathroom. It took us 21 hours from the time we broke down until we were on the road again. Can Roadside assistance and customer service get any worse?
Reserved a truck and auto hauler. Called ahead to make sure they actually had it, and was told they did. Got there, and was told it wasnt there, but I could get the truck then drive to another location to get the trailer.This is the SECOND time something id reserved and confirmed to be there turned up missing. Never again.
I rented a clean nice truck at this location. When I dropped the truck off after hours there was no drop box so I called the manager; he asked me to leave the key in the truck and as I was putting the key where he suggested I closed the door. After closing the door I was informed to not lock it hence they charged me about $69 for a locksmith. I wish the gentleman would of informed me first before instructing me where to place the key. Leaving an expensive truck unlocked for anyone to have access in that high crime area is something else. If anyone is willing to make this right due to the mitigating circumstances my Contract No is: 804-834-35 and I will gladly remove this comment. -Tony
On Sunday, 1/26/20, I immediately needed a 15 foot truck to move my furniture, etc. So, I contacted thisU-Haul Center and I spoke with employee, Camellia. Much to my relief, she did have one, 15-foot truck available. So I booked the truck with her, and I then proceeded over there to pick it up. Camellia was very courteous, patient and professional, even though there were three other customers in line ahead of me.When I returned to drop off the truck, employee LaKisha was also extremely courteous and professional. Overall, I had a very positive truck rental experience. I will highly recommend this U-Haul Center to others. Job well done!✌
Im forced to give this place one star, the young lady named Keisha is very unprofessional and rude. Went to get my grandmothers things out of storage she has had this unit for 10yrs. Things have been updated since then such as needing a card to get in the gate. My grandmother is handicapped she wanted her to get out the car and come in when she can barely walk. I suggest if you have items here or need to rent a truck or need a unit stay away from this place they will not help you and treat you like trash.
Reservation confirmed for one-way 10’ truck, later auto-confirmed to 15’ truck 2 days before rental pickup. Uber’d to U-Haul lot filled with 10’ and 15’ trucks, but was advised that only a 26’ moving van was available for one-way rental. The truck was huge, way too big for us, so we declined. Noticed multiple U-Haul reviews had same experience. Went to Enterprise and paid half the U-Haul price for a cargo van.

2022-04-18Please look at the condition of your vehicles before letting customers drive them. If the tires have zero tread and multiple gashes and corrosion, then maybe its time for a tire change. We unfortunately had to deal with this issue in the middle of our move. Completely unacceptable. Last time the oil was changed was last September. When I called the next morning to voice my concern the lady (I think her name was America?) began to give me an attitude instead of helping fix the problem. Should probably close down that whole store.

2022-08-01I was illegally charged an additional charge on my credit card without consent! I was told someone should be there to check me back in around 6am. Nobody was there as stated. I was charged an additional fee for nobody being there like they said. They are a complete rip off! I will never do business with this specific place again!

2022-01-17A customer came in and was verbally abusive to me because I was white. he said that i was after him and the clerk told he that he wasnt. the man ranted and raved and spewed racial slurs at me. the Uhaul guy told him to stop or leave and that he was after me. the uhaul rep went outside to check the current customer in and took that man anyway. what a way to treat your customers. If I had acted that way your rep would have called the police on me.we should all be treated well regardless of our race but a man who thinks he is better than white people and then your rep treats him that way is an insult to ALL the people.... SHAME on you

2021-09-22The location that I used (7866 Forrest Hills Dr, Atlanta, GA), could not have been more unprofessional. My box arrived here in June. I scheduled a pickup for my box on Saturday 8/7, many days in advanced. 2 hours before pickup, I get a call from this location saying they don’t have a forklift driver. I was frustrated because this should have been planned for in advanced. ISaturday is when I had off from work and could move into my new home. UHaul should have planned for a forklift drivers on a Saturday weeks before. The lady on the phone was unapologetic and unprofessional. I then move into a new home on Sunday 9/19. My movers show up at UHaul to get my box but UHaul tells them “it’s unavailable” with no information. Because this UHaul location didnt answer my numerous phone calls, I had to drive 30 minutes to the location to speak to them and they said they didn’t get the box from the back of the storage room. I had placed my moving order 3 days before!!! There’s no reason this should’ve happened and the fact that they can’t call to let me know with proper notice! THEN I reschedule my movers for the next day, and my movers have to spend 90 minutes waiting for UHaul to get my box because my order shows canceled in the system!? I didn’t cancel it, I had no refund, and it showed as active in the system. This was such a frustrating experience, I will not be using UHaul again. They were EXTREMELY difficult to get ahold of on the phone or chat consistently (from June to September I only got ahold of them on the phone twice)

2018-09-10Rude, loud mouthed and very unprofessional are just a few NICE things to say about the staff.Received a dirty truck filled with broken glass and other obvious signs it wasnt cleaned, brought it back to the front at which time flip-flop wearing asst mgr decides to move it to the curve and just swept it onto the street!! (I mean, reaaaally??)Also, if you rent a truck... make sure to ask for FULL DAY, otherwise theyll sell you returning it early 6-8 hrs same price... and will charge you another day even when returned in less than 24 hrs since it left their property.Owner tried to help manage the situation but theres a bigger problem there to be handled...If you see past all that, facilities are kinda nice.
