Ditto to most of the comments here. We moved to Blue Ridge 6 months ago and immediately began having problems with Amazon packages not being delivered. Almost every package was marked “undeliverable” and returned. No option to pick them up.Edit to relay steps along the way:When we first arrived there was a mailbox in front of the house. I wentin to the post office to put a hold on mail since we were going back toour other home for an extended period. They advised we should get abox at the post office since they didnt want to have several holds overthe course of a year. We got a mailbox and took down the one at thehouse. We set up a FORWARD from the street address to the mailbox.Then no packages were delivered. All marked undeliverable andreturned. Went in and was told, We dont allow packages sent to thestreet address to forward to the mailbox. Then given a street addressfor the post office and told to use the box number as the unit and haveall Amazon packages sent there.When we returned we were advised that all packages had beenreturned to sender because we didnt pick them up in a timely manner.Now we have been told to erect another mailbox at the house if wewant packages delivered. We did so and are waiting. We have beentold that the mailman doesnt have to bring packages that wont fit inthe box to the door if he/she feels the driveway is too long or steep or,otherwise a bother.It’s true that they refuse to answer the phone. Have tried MANY times with no success.Obviously it’s time for the Blue Ridge public to take these comments to a higher authority.
This Post Office is a disaster and has been for at least 5 years. Theres never been a postmaster that is worth anything or cares to earn their salary. When it takes 10 days for a piece if mail to go 8.6 miles within the same zip code from which it was mailed theres a really big problem.
I absolutely wish I could give this post office negative stars. Dont even bother going and checking if it says your package has been delivered, more than likely it wont be there. Its just a waste of time. And if you ask about it, ESPECIALLY if its an Amazon package, theyll assure you Package has been delivered and placed in po box does not mean your package has been delivered and placed in a PO box, it actually means your package is in transit to the post office and wont be there for a couple more days. Its always delivered on the 2 day shipping date that Amazon promises, but its never available to be picked up. Every interaction here is a frustrating one.
My 1st experience was over a year ago - had recently moved to the area and was not receiving my mail. Ever since, my mail comes in lumps. May not get mail for over a week at a time then all of a sudden my mailbox is jam packed (even when I know I should be expecting things on certain days). This time, I am missing a package. It was scanned as delivered over the weekend as “In/At Mailbox” which in fact, is false. As number one it is too large for the mailbox and two, most certainly was not anywhere on my porch or around my home. I called the 1-800 and made a formal complaint. However I have been trying to reach someone at the local BR post office since 8am. No one picks up the phone after consecutive attempts at calling. VERY frustrating to have to rely on an unreliable post office. And when having to go inside to mail something - I somehow typically get the rudest employee - She is short in responses, abrasive and apparently annoyed with the fact she is a postal employee needing to fulfill her job requirements in customer service at the front desk. God forbid you need some tape. Trust me.
Absolutely horrible service, the carrier won’t even leave the smallest packages in the box and leaves Notes saying attempted delivery ?? I have to chase my packages down on a weekly basis!! lazy lazy lazy.. there’s plenty of people out there that would love to have their jobs they need to step up!
The Postmaster of this office evidently allows his employees to ignore USPS policies. They are allowed to say a tracked package is delivered - even though it is not. (My DVD rental service is always telling me I am beyond the rental period because the tracking number says Delivered - when it isnt). When I use the USPS Hold Mail service - mail is still delivered -- and Held Mail is NOT delivered when it is supposed to be. Just because this office is in a small town, doesnt mean they should be incompetent - if anything, they should be more devoted to customer service.
Everyone inside is always very nice and helpful, but there is never even an attempt to deliver packages. Im tired of driving 30 minutes out of my way, during their short hours, to pick up packages that arent even heavy that I paid shipping on. I was told the last time that I called about this that the issue was resolved, but evidently not. If you dont want to drive to the Post Office to pick up your package, pay for UPS instead.
Unfortunately, packages will not be delivered regardless of the size being small. The person sending the packages always says that they receive an undeliverable message stating that there is no access to the door, no one was home, or that the mail recepticle is full. I have been home on some of the days attempted and never had a person come to the door. The door has never been blocked or mailbox to full too full. We do, however, have a driveway that dips downhill. I walk up and down it and I’m9 months pregnant. Other drivers have delivered without issues. When I have been contacted by the person sending the package, I’ve gone to the post office to check, but I was told not to show up at the post office without the orange delivery slip. I didn’t have one yet because I was rushing to the post office to catch them before they closed. The person standing in line in front of me was having the same issue. This seems to be an ongoing issue that needs to be addressed, please.
Postal service has gone down the drain. In ten years I havent had a package not delivered. Today I get a notification from Amazon that my package was taken back because my drive way or front door was blocked not true and I was outside working in the yard and never saw anyone attempt to deliver a package.
My mother and I are both handicapped, my mum can’t drive so we set PillPack for our daily medication and we cannot even get the contracted postal person to deliver our medications! Yep they are still sitting at the post office. Yes just sitting there somewhere we have no specific delivery date and now we will have to pay to get priority notification for this🤬😡 I guess it’s okay we don’t our need blood pressure medication. I know for a fact that some of the workers are tired of doing the job the contracted carriers are supposed to be doing( delivering Amazon orders or items that fit in the mailbox!). So, I can understand those at the counter get tired of getting yelled at about it and put in their place, I would be screaming mad!! My solution is hire a postal employee not someone / contractor who bids on the delivery of personal mail because they do not have to care. In general most people do not place prescription drug orders via mail unless they have a good reason like they cannot drive to get them. That said I do not appreciate having to go to the next street to collect my mail from my mailbox which measures 9” x 12” to find a pink slip indicating I need to pick up a box 8x6 at the 🤬 actual post office 10 miles one away. Post master get a grip on this ASAP or find a new job where caring does not matter to you and your employees.
I think eveyone here deserves 5 stars. Theyve always been helpful to me. They are a post office that has become a storage building (exaggerating)Alot of mail can not be delivered because post workers vehicles are not always provided, they are individually owned vehicles. In this case alot of people live in the mountains and the vehicles can not get to them. For instance to my house you have to drive through a creek:) Be patient and wait for your delivery card , then go pick up your item. Its a choice to live in this Beautiful area. Things are done a little different but thats what I love about it here:) I didnt move here for city life.
I got a receipt in my mail box stating that They were unable to deliver package due to no safe place to put it. They never came in my driveway. I have cameras that would have recorded. I was home or they could have put it inside the porch. I called this office they said it was sent Mineral Bluff. Mineral Bluff office says they dont get this. What a joke!!!!!!!
I am so fed up with our mail and packages being lost. How do you lose a package with a tracking number? I dont know why the postal inspector does not look into what is happening at this post office.
I have never had any issues with this post office the staff is always friendly and helpful! You people should really be ashamed for these reviews. If you only knew some of the things these people have been through just to get you your mail, and packages that you all always have to have “right now” you would be amazed! I suggest some of you apply for some of the open positions they have available, maybe it will open your eyes a little bit.
Our regular carrier is excellent however almost anytime he is on vacation we go days with no mail and packages get delivered to the wrong address.
Delivery driver left a note saying the package was to large for the box instead of delivery it to the door when the office was 200 ft behind the mailbox. Moved to Blue Ridge applied for a box to be keyed and paid a month ago and still no key. Yes I worked for the post office and this is unacceptable.
Have not received any mail for weeks since we moved and I’ve called multiple times to find out we’re my packages and mail are going and they basically told me they have delays sometimes. So I guess problem solved huh! Still no mail maybe next month though
Ive never had anything but the best, and courteous service, from this Post Office, both from my in person visits, and my carrier, (Don). As far as phone calls, perhaps a little grace could be extended due to the fact that there is ONE line, and they DO have other things beside the phone to keep them busy. Also, NEVER had any Pkg. delivery problems in 15 years, which I cant say for UPS, or Fedex! Good job folks! Gb bg
Moved living my location and filled out a change of address. Still they are delivering to the old address. They also lost several of my packages while I lived in the area. Avoid using this post office at all cost.
I would give a zero if that was an option. It is very sad the length they go to not delivery packages. Very disappointed with the lack of service.
Worse Post Office ever and they don’t care. Megan Brennan needs to get involved. Blue Ridge is growing and this PO doesn’t seem to want to change. They don’t get tax dollars It is the only agency that stands alone and makes their money from services and the services are lacking. It would be interesting to see who can give them a run for the money. It would be nice to have an alternative to mail delivery
Nobody give a rip! Lost packages no one can find them no one cares to even look for them. Tracking says left on porch but I was here and they never showed up! Manager at the Blue Ridge Post Office said she would check into it but did absolutely nothing! Nothing at all! Hoped we would just go away.
It’s no wonder the US Post Office loses millions of our tax dollars every year. Packages constantly delivered to the wrong addresses and they won’t even answer the phone. I will pay extra to never ship anything USPS again.
Every employee I have encountered at this post office is rude. The ladies who work the counter act like it is an inconvenience to do their jobs. I came in today to pick up a package and the lady rolled her eyes at me after i told her why I was here and handed her my slip. This is not my first bad experience here, Im sure it will not be my last. I dread needing to come in to this Post Office.
I went on google to find the hours of this post office and couldnt believe the low ratings on google reviews. So I went on to read the reviews and was shocked to read them. I actually had to go back to make sure they were talking about the Blue Ridge USPS. I have found the people working there not only professional but accommodating and very personable.
Blue Ridge, GA Post office has to be full of the laziest overpaid jerks I have ever had the unfortunate opportunity to deal with. The driver on the Mineral Bluff route refuses to even do his job, he spends more time eating than delivering mail!
I am 64 and do not go out very much. I do almost all my buying by mail order. It is very frustrating that the Post Office will not deliver my packages. I understand large packages can be difficult but why cant they deliver another day?
Looks like the inside hasnt been swept or trash emptied in weeks. Peoples mail just laying around on the top of trash bins from where it was placed in the wrong box initially. Very poorly managed location.
Absolute joke of a Post Office. The actual Post Office is great but our carrier is independent which apparently means she can deliver mail whenever and wherever she wants but rarely where it is supposed to go

The worst post office ever. They never deliver my packages even though I put up an oversized mailbox for this reason and they only leave a note to come and pick it up when it will fit in the box.

Had a hold on mail, with delivery requested after return - never delivered, had to go to post office. Amazon order, was not delivered to my home nor even put on the truck. now I have to go to the post office to pick up a heavy package!! After paying for shipping to my home
Instead of delivering my Amazon order, they just said incorrect address and sent it back.The address was correct. That seems borderline illegal to me. Lazy as heck at best.
Just like all the other comments this post office doesnt like to deliver packages although I talked to my normal carrier and explained I run a business and need my packages because I have customers waiting so he delivers them but his sub wont deliver them because my dogs are in the yard funny how hes the only one out of my normal carrier ups FedEx dlp and anybody else that delivers thats afraid of the dogs well I met him at the mail box Saturday because I knew he wouldnt drop off my package and I needed it since the post office was going to be closed for veterans day Monday and Id have to wait till Tuesday to get it well he didnt even have my package in my car said its at the post office this was at 1pm and the post office closed at 12pm so now I have to explain to my customers how bad the post office is and they have to wait until Tuesday because the mail guy doesnt want to do his job
According to the USPS app my package was READY FOR PICK-UP. The PO told me the package came in at noon and wasnt processed yet. Come back tommarrow. Bad customer service.
No mail pickup/delivery on Friday 11/30 - no delivery/pickup on Saturday 12/01 not able to report problems with delivery-pickup post office is CLOSED at noon.
Our mail lady is as nice as she can be, but the post office and people who work there are beyond a joke - rude and very rarely answer the phone, but you sure do get a busy signal all the time..

2022-06-18If I could give no stars for the Blue Ridge post office I would. I have lived in Fannin County, GA for 19 years. The first 14 were spent in McCaysville, GA and the post office there was amazing never had one problem getting packages delivered. Since moving into Blue Ridge for the last five years I have had nothing but problems getting the post office to deliver packages. When you pay such large prices for shipping then it should not be too much to expect that the package get delivered to your home. I can understand when it is a large or heavy package, but when the item is a dog collar or a leash then why is there a problem delivering it. This is absolutely insane. I do not have the time to get to the post office because like everyone else I work and the hours that I work just happen to be the same hours the post office is open. This is why I pay for shipping so I do not have to figure out a time that is convenient for the post office so I can get my package.

2022-01-25I have never been so disheartened in a post office as I am right now. I have given every chance to right the wrongs and in the end Im just out that much more money! I have even ask that my packages get held at the post office so I can pick them up but STILL I get a notification saying I have a package delivered on my porch to get home and find nothing.I call the post office and voicemail is full. I am now on a mission if it takes getting an attorney! This is suppose to be a government agency, not only is it very unprofessional but ABSOLUTELY UNACCEPTABLE! Who ever reads these in looking to ser up an appointment with the Post Master.....I want all my money that has been given away back. Ill be in touch, Im not gonna accept this as ok.

2022-03-04If the package is bigger than my mailbox I get a “Delivery Attempted - No Access to Delivery Location”. I guess I’m gonna have to build a big box outside for them to put my packages in? The trouble is nobody can confirm what the problem is, so I don’t know if I’m fixing the problem or wasting my time. So frustrating!

2022-04-19False advertisement for po box prices. Sign says $53.00 but they charge you $69.00. When you ask them about they say that is just how it is. They have not been sent the updated prices for the wall. Post master says they wont honor posted price. I told him he needed to take it down then. He said I guess I can do that.

2021-09-18Worthless post office. Numerous delivery issues. Most recent was that they left a notice that there was no secure location (the package was small and could have fit in the mailbox and did not require a signature or have any other delivery instructions). Yet, they delivered other mail and a large package that they left in the dirt. I scheduled a redelivery and had a confirmation number, but it was never redelivered. Yet, once again, they delivered other mail and another package. So I was supposed to pick it up in Morganton, but Blue Ridge picked the package up from them and now it states that I have to pick it up in Blue Ridge. I no longer drive because of my disability so I have to get a ride to pick up the package. Its no use calling because they never answer the phone.

2021-09-25Sad excuse for our Great postal service. Have had issues here for 7 years. Reported through proper Chanel’s over and over. Yet nothing ever done about it they just don’t care. Packages lost. Deliver mail to mailbox. But if package done fit they leave a not that it’s undeliverable. Yet my door is 50 ft from box. Pure lazy. I normally get my package 3 days after it was supposed to be delivered. And 80% of the time is because I have to go get it. There phone is left off the hook and voice mail box alway full. Just sad

2021-11-04Got an email this morning @ 8:47 am statingdelivery of my package was attempted @8:17,But not left too large. “A notice was left” arrange for another date/time for delivery or it will be returned. I was in my front yard w/ my dogs who bark if a car even slows down, let alone stops to “attempt” delivery! In yard from 8: 00 til 8:30, came inside & looked at email, low & behold! the“Ghost”driver had come, even dogs didn’t know he was there! AND he left an invisible notice!Searched for supposed notice in my mb, in largecontainer for packages, on the ground & in the trees- Nothing! Is this a type of job security? Cango out & drive around , not deliver, then do it again another day? I have had more missing & mis-delivered mail in 6 years here, than 49 yearsIn various other states. Bet this review will escalate this problem. But can’t get much worse. A neighbor got in touch w: Atlanta Postal Service about this problem then renteda USPS box in another town after Blue Ridge Postal Service gave him a hard time . Let’s take“Service” out of the name.The notice slip was finally delivered AFTER 5pm, says schedule an appt . For re-delivery (ha ha, has to be a 1st delivery before re- delivery) Did so, was not delivered. & now says on site CANNOT be re-delivered!This carrier (male, not usual carrier. is really incompetent & nasty personality. Also speeds & tailgates- black jeep with yellow caution lite on top! ) Beware…if driving on Galloway

2021-12-06I would walk to the post office in Ellijay through rain, wind, hail snow, sleet and whatever else not to have to interact with the impatience that works the counters at the post office in Blue Ridge, Ga. Go to Ellijay. Friendly people await you there. Ive lived in north, central and south Georgia my entire life and this is the worst post office Ive ever visited.

2021-12-08I wish there was another way to make a formal complaint othe then going down there...i dont feel like that does anything. Everytime we have a substitute driver, they leave packages in the rain under the mailbox, I have other peoples mail I have to deliver in my box. Not just old residents whom used to live in my home...I mean other addresses on our road..and from other roads. I have checks lost, packages damaged. Our regular btw is awesome...I wish I could review them individually but I cant. I once saw the guy floor it backwards half way down the road...w people coming up behind him...what is this guy doing...I know help is hard to find latley but this isnt right. I shouldnt have to bring other people their mail and bills...also shouldnt have to worry about medical supplies being left under my box...which by the way is about a half a mile away from my home...our regular drives it up and drops it off if it doesnt fit...not leave it in the rain 2ft from the road...

2022-02-04I live in Morganton! The BR Po does not forward our mail promptly! Packages arrive an reaches are hand a week + later.
