Vallarta Mexican Restaurant in other cities:
Terrific Restaurant! Was trying to find a good restaurant in Georgia and was so happy to find this place! Food was excellent and so cheap! We could not believe it. Atmosphere was excellent and staff was so friendly. We were in Georgia for a week and ate here 4 times in that visit. Really wish we had a restaurant this good by us in New Jersey! We miss you guys!!
Terrific food and service. Restaurant was super busy and the staff was under staffed but accountable and keeped checking in with us.The salsa and guacamole were really good and so was my enchilada. My moms tamale was superb.Highly recommend. My son enjoyed his burrito and ate it all!
Normally the drinks an food is decent this time not so good. Found something foreign n my enchiladas. They tried to tell me it was a onion piece. I beg the differ ,it was hard like a piece of plastic film from cheese block. I know the difference from a translucent onion, and a piece of film from a block of cheese. Not pleased.
I was cautious with my order because my expectations were low. I knew this wasnt going to be the real Mexican food of my experience in the American southwest. The food pretty much live down to my expectations. I ordered a tamale and a chicken enchilada which are pretty difficult to mess up. The enchilada had only a little bit of sauce on it which made it difficult to judge and the chicken inside it was basically boiled and bland. The tamale was 95% masa and had little flavor.. The refried beans were very good - very fresh and creamy. The rice was yellow like chicken flavored rice from a box. It had almost no flavor. The chips and salsa were good - both freshly made with the chips warmed. My son ordered the chimichangas which were covered in a white cream sauce. What is that? Seriously? We were with my other son who just graduated training at the top of his class so we did not let the quality of that food spoil a happy meal.
Once we all had time to read the many authentic Mexican dishes we were able to come to our decisions. Was tough to do because there were so many good choices. Full of good Mexican flavor and some of our choices did not disappoint with the heat and spice. The traditional Mexican sandwich I thought was a lot of bread but the pork inside was really well done with a crispiness to the pork and very tender. The very spicy red sauce was fantastic but you have to like hot and spicy. The tacos looked fantastic and our daughter said they were very good along with the other meals at our table.
Was a little worried when I saw the 3.3 star but I thought what the heck and I’m so glad I did the service was fast and very friendly, the food OMG was so delicious I ordered the camarón a la diabla and was surprise the amount of spicy that it had. I came from San Diego CA to visit and this is one place I will go back to.
Went once. Got the shrimp tacos. The shrimp were juicy and cooked well with good seasoning. The veggies on the tacos were fresh. The complementary salsa was some of the best Ive ever had. Great fresh flavor, plenty of cilantro. The Verde salsa I got for my shrimp was fresh, herbal and just spicy enough. Would definitely recommend.
Our service was fast and our server was kind. However, I ordered chicken fajitas and received steak. Wouldn’t have been a big deal if I wasn’t limiting my red meat intake. My family did enjoy it though. The salsa that comes free with chips was very spicy and the cheese dip was unfortunately kind of bland. I was actually hoping for a little more flavor, it was similar to the way white people make cheese dip, or as though it was prepackaged. Everyone else enjoyed their food. One great thing about this is that if you’re a trainee or family of a trainee, they offer special discounts on graduation day, but on graduation day only. New graduates receive a free meal and their families get 10% off. We missed out on this offer, but it’s great to spread the word.
I am impressed! I was born and raised in California and havent had REAL Mexican food prepared like this. The beans were soft and seasoned just right the salsa was perfect the staff was super fast and their food was hot all the way to the last bite. Why arent you guys Nationally known?? Thanks for the wonderful experience
I’ve been here more than twenty times and it is truly amazing the food is always hot and the drinks cold. The staff are friendly, fast, and efficient. I recommend this establishment to anyone looking for a good Mexican restaurant. This is the place to go! It is also conveniently located near the base and will give you a discount for your graduation!
There isn’t too much to say about this place other than it truly has yet to disappoint me in anyway. The food comes quick and is delicious and the portions are very generous. The chips and salsa provided with meals make for a great snack and the food - although not exquisite or expensive - is thoroughly enjoyable and fresh. Best Mexican / Tex-mex I’ve had in the area.
The food here is really good, the service is excellent, and there are usually some soldiers from Ft. Benning in there eating. The only thing is the neighborhood isnt that great, but Ive never seen or heard any problems here. Ive eaten there for lunch several times, always enjoyed it.
This place is a dump, Im not sure how it got any positive reviews. But I would not recommend it to a homeless person... The food was awful. The Salsa was so watery it was like soup.. And the Shrimp Quesadilla was awful. The Texas Margherita was watered down and tasted like rubbing alcohol.. The worst experience Ive had at any Mexican restaurant.. Run dont walk!
We know good fajitas and good service, so we were pleasantly surprised when we gave the Vallarta team a Togo order for fajitas for 6 with only 10 minutes till closing. Feeding soldiers is a dicey thing because you never know when they will be available, especially during jump week, so it was especially nice that they took our order so late. Vallarta’s did a really nice job and got it packaged up very quickly but more importantly, it was complete, great food and way more than our 6 guys could eat! Thanks everyone!!
We came from El Paso and this place is just as great as the mexican food there . Authentic!!! The customer service is always so friendly and fast we come here all the time . I love the atmosphere!!! This is my favorite restaurant in this town Im never disappointed!!! Best place in town
Came here after my brothers Basic Training graduation with the Army. We are from Oklahoma city.Food was ok.But, Maybe would have tasted better if the owner actually gave us what we ordered. I got the enchiladas and asked for everything on the side and was told they wouldnt do it.My mom ordered tacos and the owner came back with the wrong food and legit said Im sorry, I misunderstood and and put these in instead of your tacos thats why you didnt get your side she then proceeded to put the plate down and said you can just eat thisMy mom is too nice to make a scene. To top it all off, the husband (owners are wife and husband or at least seemed like the owners)would not stop staring us down. The entire meal, continued to stare at us from different angles and stand close to us with his back turned (I assume to listen to what we were saying)The waitress seemed like she was trying but the 2 owners were just horrible to us. And made the entire meal awful.
The best salsa, shrimp quesidillas & cheese dip EVER! Nowhere can anyone compare to Vallartas! They are the best. We always order the same thing every visit so as soon as we walk in the door, they start our orders and serve immediately. Service and Owners are outstanding!
Food was largely flavorless and a lot more than I would normally pay for that quantity of food. They forgot my beans, so I got vegetables, rice, a small order of guacamole and chips for $17. And three tortillas. The vegetarian options are ok, but the vegetables seem to the the California Medley you can buy in the frozen section of a grocery store. Carrots, broccoli, and cauliflower in a fajita? With no seasoning? The quac was ok and the servers were nice, so thats why I gave it two stars.
The waitresses were white (not that there is anything wrong with that) but they didnt even know what horchata was?! We asked for a torta de asada and they also didnt know what that was. They were completely clueless to Mexican food. They messed up on our order twice, and seemed to have gotten annoyed with us when we asked them to correct it. When we were ready to leave I realized I had extra things I did not order on my check, she tried to charge me for things I didnt even get?? The food was not all that great. The owners really needs to properly train their staff and give them knowledge of what they will be serving before putting them on the job. Will NOT be coming back.
This place made me feel at home as soon as I walked in. The place looks a bit antiqued but the service and food makes up for the rest. Trust me I always look for the real mexican in restaurants that claim to be and I hardly ever find one but this place it is what it claims to be. Even the coffee tastes like home. Enjoy
This place is the MLK of chicken nachos. Revolutionary in all the right ways. Tasteful. Classy. To the point. If Top Gun were about nachos, this would be Maverick... and Iceman.. super baby.. nacho love product. Seriously, go eat these nachos and open your third eye. Fourth eye. Nacho eye. Whatever. They’re incredible.

2022-07-02I came for lunch the day before and my experience was excellent. I had the steak fajita burrito and a frozen margarita. My chips were fresh and warm and the salsa was delicious. I came back today for lunch. Vallarta states opening time is 12pm. We waited in the parking lot a good 45mins and never saw an employee park to walk inside. At 12:05 we began calling the restaurant to see if the opening time was correct. We eventually gave up and left. We were visiting out of state for a family member’s Army graduation.

2021-05-15Terrible vegetarian options. They basically gave a bad of steamed vegetables for fajita which had no flavor. The veggies were cold, the host said she will give us a discount because of that and ended up reducing just $2.Chips and Salsa were good. Maybe its a good restaurant but definitely not for vegetarians

2022-03-26Food was okay. Reviews stating discounts/free meals to soldiers/families were FALSE. No discounts given. Barely got service. Waitress was rude as hell and acted like we were an inconvenience. She kept pushing for us to leave, asking if we wanted stuff to go. Brought the check without even asking if we were finished. Very rude.

2022-06-09The sign on the door says something about sorry if the service isnt great, were understaffed but I just went on a wed afternoon, fully packed, every table full and they STILL were super fast, super sweet, attentive, and the food was perfect. This is honestly one of the best restaurants in town 🙌 AND THE TEA IS NEVER STALE

2022-06-19We went with family who lives in the area and enjoyed the time and meal. The chips and salsa were fantastic with the heat. I had the Camarones Al Diabla for my main course. The heat was excellent, even a hot for someone who loves and eats spicy whebever possible. I had some leftover Quesadilla that the wife was not able to finish. The seasoning was good, but was a little salty due to the cheese. We even were told that a friend of the family who eats Fajitas all the time and said this is the best Fajita place hes been to ever. If we are back in town, we will make it a must stop for Mexican dining.

2021-09-27Two nights in Columbus. We had no intention of eating Mexican food both nights. Night one, we went based on the recommendation of a local. Night two, we found ourselves returning.GET THE CARNE ASADA FRIES!!! My betrothed noted that the chicken nachos were the BEST shed ever had.Youre welcome!
