Vallarta Restaurant in other cities:
We absolutely loved this place. Walking in, I was unsure of what to expect, but we were greeted by nice people and lead to our table. We got our food right away, and it is delicious. If youre ever on the Washington Rd. In Augusta, you should stop in and grab a bite. You will definitely enjoy yourself. They have good music playing all the time.
I’m still trying to figure out how one carnitas dinner, one build your own, one small margarita, one large margarita, one Diet Coke , one water, two orders of corn, one side of plantains comes out to $70!!! The server never brought a detailed bill. Only total amount due. Carnitas was nasty. Unseasoned pieces of meat. Corn tasted like it was mixed with dollar tree Mayo. Build your own had nasty tasting cheese mixed in. Won’t be returning to this place.
Nice restaurant. Service was good. The food was good, but a bit bland for a Mexican restaurant. The jalipinos didnt have any heat, nor did the salsa, in fact all of the food lacked the distinctive flavors we were looking for . The majority of the staff are not fluent in English. We ordered 2 of the bowels, one came out with cheese on top the other didnt. We asked for the cheese that was missing, the waiter came out with Caso, we repeated the request, he came with the cheese cut charged us 1.79 for it.
Every time I order from here they always get my order wrong I ordered a taco salad with lettuce black beans, rice, corn and queso and act like they can never do it when I’ve ordered it before fine so I don’t know if it’s the different cooks or who’s placing the order but it’s ridiculous this time my order was all wrong all I had was lettuce black beans tomatoes and sour cream nothing of what I ordered and when I called they were closing and told me to call the next morning so when I called the next morning they didn’t know what to do they asked me to bring my food and obviously I couldn’t bring it because it was the night before they told me to bring the receipt when they didn’t give me one and the general manager who I spoke to hung up on me so I had to drive up to the restaurant to talk to them they are so unprofessional and I will NEVER order from here AGAIN I tried to give them a chance because the food is decent but they can NEVER get my order correct and they make it seem like making a taco salad is so difficult.
Here now with my young daughter. Sitting behind us is a table of 5 young ladies. The easier continues to feed them shots and drinks. They are so drunk. They are so loud yelling and cursing! Noone is saying anything to them, just giving them more drinks! It is ridiculous. I dont curse around my daughter as she is young and impressionable and dont appreciate going to pay good money for a nice meal and having to sit next to it without it being addressed by managment. There are 7 small children in here under 10. They even have a small child at their table.
Disappointed , We did the fajitas for 2 with the steak, chicken and shrimp, and it seems we paid for peppers and onions, we found 2 pieces of shrimp in the entire mix and the chicken and beef where very scarce . So we were able to do a one soft taco filled with meat the other 4 were peppers and onions, i understand it was a meal for 2 , but I used to come here and portion sizes were great . The menu for higher in prices and the quality and quantity any way down . I also got a side of tamales and they were covered in this awe full sauce and they have never been l like that before
The food and service were awesome. There were some rude staff there though. I asked for a bag and she looked at me like I had 2 heads (glad she wasn’t my server), but eventually she gave me one. My server was an awesome little lady. I got the Don trio... delicious! Best chips and salsa. Food was very reasonably priced. I’ll be back
The Pros & Cons: The Waiting staff seem to work as a team to be sure all the tables had what they needed! That was nice to see! There wasnt an issue b/c 1 table belong to 1 waiter & not another! However:My Mixed Drink was wrong when I ordered it.& I got the food I ordered, BUT not the way i ordered it either! I gave up!Great to have eaten outside, chairs are terrible uncomfortable, even for a short time!
Extremely disappointed! We dined in but I asked for my food to be prepared to go. Not one thing about my order was correct, I repeated my order twice due to add on item and special instruction request. Left without cking order for accuracy, got 15 min down the road pulled over to sample my fish taco before it got cold. Add on item not in bag, special intstruction ignored, sauce for the fish tacos was rancid. Took back and explained problem, waiter actually told me that it was MY fault order was wrong because I didnt order what I had ordered?????? Seriously, thats what he said to me. Will not be back or recommend, unless its a recommendation to eat elsewhere!!! If no stars were a choice, thats what I would give them
Beer was flat. Portion size was super small, appetizer came out after the entree, margarita was quite weak and they charge for extra tortillas. Food was ok but overall experience not so great. Also to top it off the bathroom was like a murder scene and the overall cleanliness of the whole place is questionable
Service was top notch. Quality of drinks and food was one part. Got the Cancun burrito and it was huge with flavor. Friend got 2 hard shell chicken tacos rice and beans and it was marvelous. I eat everything on my plate. I really enjoyed it . I recommend this place for Mexican fare.
The food was very tasty and the service was friendly and prompt. I ordered the Supreme chimichanga with sour cream instead of Nacho Cheese & the server said it was not a problem. It tasted great. The only negative I have is very minor. Our empty glasses werent cleared off the table when we were done with them. Overall, I was very happy eating here. Im definitely going back.
Terrible customer service tonight. For the last two years, my gf and I have come to this location because we thoroughly have enjoyed the food and the service, however tonight was abysmal. The manager took my order and got the order wrong and rather than apologize, opted to argue with me about the difference between arroz con pollo and the Don pollo, a meal I get everytime I come here. Rather than fix the mistake, she wanted to argue to the point that I canceled my order. Her waitresses quickly took the same nasty attitude as her. I will not recommend in the future and will actively tell anyone looking for good Mexican food about my experience at Vallartas on Wrightsboro road tonight.
Our family of 10, decided to have supper together before we went our separate ways and wanted something everyone would enjoy that was on Washington Rd. Vallarta dis not disappoint. Our group of 12, that included 4 kids, was seated immediately. Chips and Salsa came out quick followed by the multitude of beverages. Our orders were taken quickly and efficiently. While we enjoyed each others company and noshed on chips and salsa that was always full our dinners were prepared to perfection. Not a complaint to be had. Service great and food delicious. Would definitely stop in again when in Augusta
Service was POOR ! server charged me for three different cheese dips when I asked for two in which one came out wrong so he basically charged me to fix it ! my boyfriend dropped his phone and when we went back to go get it they laughed and told us they didn’t have it, as soon as we left they came to the car laughing with the phone and the server was standing at the door laughing ! Definitely would never recommend this restaurant!
Great experience Margaritas were awesome service lilttle slow. But there attitudes were so gracious to have the customers. I was happy to be there liije I said Margaritas were simply Awesome & atmosphere was great . very nice Patio and Indoor seating authentic Mexican Cantina. People were soo sweet. Made the wait no t so bad......I definitely go again & again
Great happy hour margaritas, food was pretty good. Service was good until the end when our server walked by our table twice in fifteen minutes and didnt pick up the check with the credit card either time. He was very attentive until then and I wasnt sure if I was supposed to take the check up front to pay. He took it eventually.
Me and a group of friends seated and waiter took our drink order and never return back to get food order till 40 mins later. We about to walk out waiter comes and say he had a big table to take care of. They looked fully staffed and I even asked another waiter where our water was and he looked as if he had an attitude. Waiter never apologized only wanted to know was we going to order are not. Never been treated so poorly.
Sooo after giving these people a great review , I regret to have to rescind it i went here and was disgusted by the service after being the first online everyone was served before us. As we sat there everyone enjoyin tortillas an sauce with drinks we sat there, numerous waiters walked by us still nothing we decIded to walk out. Will not eat here again.
Got beef taco supreme plate, cheesesteak burrito, shrimp taco plate. Food was good, salsa and chips were tasty and it was hot when it came to the table. The downside was that the waitress seemed to disappear for 20 mins at a time, and that was by far the nastiest bathroom Ive been in, clearly not well maintained. Walking into it made me question the rest of the place. I probably wont go back.
Wonderful, quiet atmosphere. Fabulous, tasty food. Husband had fish tacos and I had Fajita combo Vallarta. I have nothing bad to say about this experience. What I don’t understand is why they don’t have more traffic. They are one of This areas best kept secrets, we will be back.
The Don Pollo was good. It could have used more cheese sauce & they could have removed the gristle from parts of the chicken. The menu needed to be cleaned; it had salsa on it. Service was good & the dish looked very similar to the picture. The salsa was also flavorful.
The service is friendly and FAST. I dont know who is that kitchen, but let me tell you... Ive never waited longer than 10 mins for my food. And its always hot and fresh. Five stars. Not many cars were there but it was near closing so we gave it a try. Big booth seats with spanish decor all throughout.
I called in my order and went to pick it up. I gor there, went inside, and something felt off to me. There was nobody in the front so I had to walk in and past the host area before I saw someone. I asked about my order and neither worker seemed to know what I was talking about and they didnt seem like they were interested in helping me resolve my issue. I left without any food and no one cared. That was my first time at the Washington Rd location and probably my last. I will continue to go to the Wrightsboro Rd location where the workers do an excellent job.
Went there today for lunch. I was drinking my tea and something was blocking my straw. I figured it was a lemon seed. However, I decided to check, and there was something in the glass that looked like a fish. I poured my drink out into my husbands glass and realized there was a SLUG! IN MY TEA! Management denied all wrong doing and said they clean daily. DISGUSTING!
Terrible service and food. We ordered Fajitas, when they arrived they were hot which was good but they tasted bad. The beans and rice were stone cold so I told our waiter, who took them to the back and microwaved them. The service was poor, no refills, no checking to see if we needed anything and no dirty dishes taken... When we went to pay, we saw that we had been charged for the sour cream and guacamole, that came with the meal. After ten minutes of back and forth, we were credited for the sour cream but not the guacamole. I asked to speak to the manager and they fumbled around and looked and looked at the receipt. Pure craziness!! We gave up and just left, we had movies tickets and didnt want to miss our movie over a dollar. We will never eat at this place again.
I was there on Saturday night. We were seated and left there. 15 minutes went by and we were still sitting there. No chips and no one even came to ask what we wanted to drink. This place use to be one of the best in the area. But now that they have new owners...they suck. The service has gone way down hill. Not going to say ill never go back. I will....if I have to.
Used to come here a good bit and the food is still good, but the past 2 times the service has been extremely terrible. . server was a ghost and they were dead both times... Got charged for every extra tortilla and shredded cheese with the fajitas, they give you two tortillas... with out any notice or warning bam on the check. Wrong drinks, issues with bad draft beers, salsa was super chunky..
Just got new booths but still ugly... doesnt matter, everything I eat there is delicious. I suggest you try flour soft tortillas- al pastor taco combo. My mouth waters just to think of the taste. Service is good and if you want something extra they so far always bring it like more chips or more flour soft tortillas ...drink refills come without asking usually.
The chips tasted like soap, my beans tasted like someone ashed their cigarette in them and our waiter couldnt remember what came with my meal. I had to ask for items that were listed on the menu as coming with my meal twice. Staff was friendly but my food was pretty terrible. And I wasted money on cheese dip that I couldnt eat because of soapy chips....I wont be back.
Did not enjoy this restaurant at all. The only reason I gave 2 stars is because of the service, not because of the food. The food was not very good not just for me but the other parties I was with. (There was aboit 12 of us) we had the conversation piece on nothing but the food ... I personally have not returned and will not return to this establishment.
Poor service. Employees barely spoke English and as a result messed up my order. Despite being polite and patient, staff was rude and sassy in return. Bathrooms dirty with urinals placed right in front of door so anyone using them would be visible if door was open. Food was acceptable. Family members who visited before said they had similar experiences.
I highly suggest having reservations here because it is a very nice restaurant to dine at. There is valet parking, but I would suggest having a nice day at the Atlanta History Museum and just walking here for a nice meal.On a final note: their Lentil Sausage Soup and Crab Cakes are delicious!
Honestly, the food in this place is a little bit better than Monterey Mexican Restaurant and only in meat wise, I have never seen a cook serve raw veggies, like for example my carrots, other than that it was OK. Now what is the situation with the employees down south I mean Im seating down having dinner with my significant other and out of the blue they star running back to the kitchen as if they were running for their lives, I though the police of the immigration was in town. Excuse me but not a good impression for the business.
So much good food and the sweet little waitress was tired, and then I saw the significant baby bump and congratulations were in order. We will return again and again to practice our Spanish and eat wonderful food. We split our meal, as we always do, and there was no extra charge for an extra empty plate.
Phoned in an order for 5 beef tacos, two without tomatoes. Picked them up on my way home to find out that I received 6 fish tacos all with tomatoes. I called back to let them know about the mistake and the guy argued with me saying that I told him fish which I then explain that I don’t eat fish and had I told him fish I wouldn’t be calling right now. He said that I had to drive all the way back there to bring back the fish tacos rather than just having my husband pick up the CORRECT order on his way home. No apology and nothing but argument the entire time. $22 for 6 tacos that were wrong and cheese dip to go. Not worth the price, hassle, or attitude that you get from the wait staff and their inability to remedy a situation and admit when they are flat out wrong.
I ordered from them on DoorDash a couple nights ago and they did everything I asked...I wanted 3 soft tacos, no lettuce, add tomatoes and a cheese dip with extra salsa. Order shows up, tacos are perfect, cheese dip and two salsas...no complaints whatsoever, though I did realize 3 tacos is too much for me...so tonight I place the same exact order...the way their menu is on Doordash you can’t just get two tacos from what I see... so I placed the same order as before but under the cheese dip I asked for them to give me 3 salsas, and then under tacos I said I only wanted 2 tacos even though I was paying for 3 with no lettuce, ground beef and cheese only... and add tomatoes... that the extra salsas I requested would balance with the missing taco... my order showed up and they got my two tacos and my three salsas... but no cheese dip and my tacos had lettuce on them. Please pay attention when reading/making the order. Especially with a delivery service... A. I’m not going to make DoorDash go back and fix it... B. Even if I would get them to, I wouldn’t want it anymore by the time they got back.
I was like the only person in there... service was GREAT let me start off by saying that my waiters were great. All three of them. The food came out instantly. Like not even 5 mins went by and I had my food in front of me. Two cheese steak quesadillas and rice with cheese. The rice came out without cheese on it and was sent back to get cheese. It came back out with “no exaggeration” a teaspoon of cheese on the top. Then I opened my quesadillas, the cheese wasn’t even melted and the tortilla wasn’t cooked all the way. I ate one and sent the other back to be heated up and it came back fine.Got the bill and guess what? 20$! For two cold quesadillas that had to be reheated and some cheese rice that had to be remade. They charged me for a small cheese dip lmao. The waiter was nice and said sorry though... so I guess that makes up for it. No wonder the place was empty, it’s nothing like it used to be.
Food was awesome, woman who couldnt speak English was very hospitable. Frank ruined the night, and I hope the managers see this comment. Chewing gum, slandering your customer, and having a problem with taking 45 minutes to get your dates food doesnt make sense for any restaurant to keep that employee. In the future, when I visit (the food is great, so of course Ill go back), I will purposefully ask to not be sat in Franks section.
Words can not describe how good the food is at this place. I ordered a Cinco de mayo sampler and was surprised by how much food came with it. I had to take it home in a box and didnt even order a meal. Service was great as well. Definitely on my list of favorite restaurants.
We came on a satuSatu night during happy hour .for a Mexican restaurant it took too long to get our chips and it wasnt busy .It took up about 30 min to get tacos and taquitos. Both on the happy hour menu. Too long . One of the reasons I choose Mexican as a mom of two littles is speed of service. This is the second time Ive weve been here and the service has been slow both times. And they got the order wrong too .but I wasnt going to send it back.
Lunched here yesterday. We were first dated under an air conditioning vent which blasted cool air - it was only in the 50s yesterday. However, they did move us promptly upon my request, which I appreciated.Meals came out quickly. Food tasted delicious, though my meal (Stuffed Poblano Peppers) looked a little too greasy- I would have preferred it cooked with less oil. Server was polite enough but appeared rushed - felt like I was being a bother to make further inquiries about the menu... (tip to servers: taking the time to be patient may initiate more orders!)Bottom line - this place is good for wanting a quick meal of more substance, nutrition and taste than fast casual, but try another place if you are after ambience and high quality.
Suuuuuuuuuucked!!! We almost got up and walked out. Nobody was taking customers orders. Our queso was so watered down and our food sat under the heat lamp for a long time. It was horrible. We will never go back on our own accord. We will just go to Salsas from now on.
Some of the worst service Ive ever received. Sat with nothing for a long time, only to get our cheese dip before chips. Chips didnt come till cheese dip was cold. No refill on drinks. Asked for manager, was told they didnt have one. Wont ever go back. Los Cabos or Salsas will get my business from now on
Delicious mexican with an awesome covered outdoor area. The texas margaritas are top notch and they bring two types of salsa with the chips - one a bit spicier than the other. The only thing they could improve is the service... there have been multiple times we have to find the waiter so we can pay and leave.
Best Mexican food ever, we drive from SC just to eat here! The Cinco De Mayo platter😋 is amazing, its my pick everytime👍 and the cheese(queso)dip with beef & beans so those yummy with the tortilla chips. The staff is nice and very accommodating. The tequila shots are great!!!😁❤
A little run-down looking, but the food was nice for the most part. The shrimp quesadilla Vallarta could have used a little bit longer on the grill - youd expect a dish with the restaurants name on it to have a bit more attention given it. Also, the camarones al mojo de ajo had almost a half cup of minced garlic dumped on top. My wife and I both love garlic, but thats a bit much.
OMG I LOVE THEIR FOOD!! HANDS DOWN THE BEST MEXICAN RESTAURANT IN AUGUSTA/MARTINEZ AREA!! prices arent TOO bad but the quality of the food is worth every penny u spend.. service is not bad but it could be better. Id DEFINITELY recommend this place to EVERYONE who wants some amazing Mexican food
Young girl supposed to be serving us was a Houdini! I sat for an hour without a tea refill. Plus charging $1.50 per pitcher for strawberry mix in a margarita? Cmon! Not good service when there are plenty of other choices within 3 miles. Wont come back if I have a choice of location.
Horrible customer service. I arrived there at 10:12 with my boyfriend and they told us the kitchen was closed. We advised the servicer we only came for a drink. She then set us down, came back to advise us in order to get a drink we have to go to the bar. The restaurant does not close till 11. We just left and went to Mi Ranchos. Much better customer service.
This was my first visit to Vallarta. I travel to Augusta often and Im always looking for good, local options to the typical chain resturants. I was warmly greated as I opened the door and that set the stage for the rest of the evening. The food and my magarita were great as was the service. The prices were under the typical price of a meal at a full service chain resturant. I will dine here again for sure.
Me and 3 other friends came and ate and had 5 sangrias all together. We ask MARTIN the waiter that we wanted another sangria. Well waiting for like 20 mins , he never brought it so we paid for our food and drinks and left bc he never brought the drink. So then he come and chase us outside to tell us we didn’t pay for the 6 sangria that we NEVER received. So we went back in there and ask to pull the cameras up and see bc we will pay for it but we just never received it. So he stated, next time he will call the police so we then curse his ass out and told him we will never be back bc of his ass. His ass knew he was wrong and never would want him as our server. Bad customer service.

2022-04-29I ordered the local lunch special, Don Pollo. It was the best dish I have ever had at a Mexican restaurant. Peppers, tomatoes, onions, mushrooms and the most tender chicken ever. Served on a bed of rice with cheese sauce. 😋 😋 😋 excellent 👌 👏

2022-05-10This used to be my favorite Mexican restaurant and I used to come here all the time. After my last two visits though, I dont think Ill be going back. This pitcher of margaritas cost $19. All the other Mexican restaurants will sell you an actual pitcher for $20; at Vallarta, theyll give you a styrofoam cup.

2022-06-21Seriously could be top 5 Mexican Restaurants Ive ever been to. Outside doesnt look like much, but I know those places have grandmothers in the kitchen making tortillas all day. Service was very fast and food came out quicker! Ordered a fajita taco salad and my buddy ordered enchiladas. Chicken was tender and grilled to perfection. Salsa was mild and undertone of ketchup but let it fool ya, its excellent. Also, dont miss out on ordering queso, you can tell they melted different cheeses for it! Dont pass it by, its great!

2022-06-13Food was great. Waitress did not speak English very well. Getting her to understand what we wanted was a little difficult and one entre was left off order, so one person was left waiting on food.

2022-05-06Very little wait time, the food was delicious. Seating wasnt the absolute best, but parking was good. We were sat and served quickly.

2021-04-22So far the best fajitas Ive had since moving to the area almost 2 years ago. Got there early right after they opened for lunch and received prompt service and fresh food. Really impressed and will be coming here again and again.
