Nope nope nope. Don’t go.Messed up the order. Said 10 mins for order- was around 40. Food was lukewarm and not tasty. Overcharged us and no recipe. Table was also sticky and I could see rows of dirty barware. I’m a little worried about food poisoning so wish me the best
I ordered a drink, sipped on it!!it didnt taste right, when I told the bartender I did not wanted my drink , He took it back and I saw him pouring back into a plastic container to serve to other people. Me and my husband told him that was not right!! If theyre doing this during covid, I cant imagine their hygienes in the back. Awful management!
Great atmosphere. Clean. Friendly staff. Ive been there twice because its reasonably close to where I live. Food is good and prices are reasonable. 4 out of 5 because food is a little bland compared to other Mexican restaurants Ive been to, but they do have two really nice house made hot sauces. Margaritas were also really good-i get the traditional lime on the rocks. They have mostly booths for seating, which I really like, and a small bar area if you just want to come for drinks.
Had a very disappointing first experience here. Came for dinner with a party of 9. The server was rude, and inattentive. We all ordered extra dips, outside of the salsa you get, and when we tried to get more chips (keep in mind, we had 9 people) and were told only one refill per basket, and normally a table gets 1 basket and 1 refill, but because we had a large table, we got 2. So several of us didnt get to finish our dips. The food took forever, and the food came out before our silverware. The food was bland and horrible. We will not return.
Was there for Cinco de Mayo 2021. The food was great but the service was extremely slow. The place was standing room only so people were waiting for an empty table. I heard the service is never this slow but never been standing room only. I plan to return in a few weeks to see if the service is better but Im sure the food will be great. I overall I enjoyed my self there.
Went here, for lunch, with co-workers! None of us enjoyed the experience! The staff took way too long to take our orders, the salsa & guacamole tasted expired, our food/drinks were completely incorrect, they provided 4 different napkins for 8 people, AND they overcharged us! I paid for two of us, our ticket was $60...they charged us for EVERY SINGLE ITEM ($3 for cheese, $1.50 for lettuce, etc)! We will not be going back, not even sorry!
Absolutely delicious!! The portions are generous at a comfortable price. The seating is very comfortable, and the atmosphere was very pleasant. The music is very energetic and happy, but not loud enough to need to raise your voice to talk over.My family and I had a wonderful time, and we plan to invite our inlaws along soon.
We have enjoyed every meal. Nice people. Wheelchair parking in front of restaurant. Accessible door. Bathroom not so good. Steep ramp to get to it. Nice employee helped my husband up into narrow, dark area. The entry door goes the wrong way. Also very difficult to get out.
Staff was very friendly upon our arrival, we were greeted by multiple people and asked for our drink order by 3 different people. The seating was pretty cramped- my husband had to scoot his chair up 2x so that others could walk by and get to their booth. Once we were ready to order our meal, it took about 7 minutes for someone to take our order. The food had very minimal seasoning. The serving size was small compared to other Mexican restaurants in Augusta and it tasted bland. It also took a very long time for us to get our check. We will not return to this restaurant.
This used to be a very good restaurant but in the past couple of months service leaves a lot to be desired The majority of the girls in the restaurant only speak Spanish so they have no way to know what in the heck you were saying and you can’t understand them you end up just pointing at a lot of pictures and hoping somebody gets it right. the quality of the food is going down as well as the size portions which are ridiculously small you should not go into a restaurant and leave hungry you will hear.there always seems to be an issue with an advertised special on the price since they added karaoke it is absolutely miserable to be in there on Friday or Saturday night not worth the trip anymore
Stopped by this little rat hole tonight for dinner to get a couple to go plates. It took 3 different people to understand what I wanted. The lids was not put on right abd by the time I got home most of the food was in the bags... not to mention my refried beans was gray. How does that even happen??? Spent over 32 dollars for food that ended up in the trash. Needles to say I never return.
Come in for lunch with s friend ordered nacho Supreme got nacho with beef only..and nachos with chicken only . Then they say the half order is only available happy hour WHAT? This is crazy 🤪 then they wont give you s receipt without asking for it . Servers had no clue what we wanted when come our drinks which is aMexican drink the horchata . What a bad experience.
I wish I could give this place zero stars; the employees seemed totally miserable and bothered to even be working there, the taco shell and chips were stale and all of the food ordered was cold. The meat itself tasted gross and bland and apparently it was bad because everyone got sick after eating here. The cheese dip was also like water, couldnt really even try to get cheese on your chips. The salsa also tasted like straight ketchup. I wouldnt even feed any of the food here to a stray dog. Definitely not authentic Mexican food or even EDIBLE food!
I went to Victorias Mexican Restaurant on 04.06.2021. On their board that displays their specials, the drink that I ordered was advertised as $9.95. When I paid I was charged $18.00. I made the server aware of the price that was advertised. He went to speak with his supervisor who told him that the advertised price was for the day before. It was 4:17 p.m. By this time of the day, prices from the previous day should have been updated. A couple of weeks prior I watched the waitress erase the price on the board after a customer ordered to let the customer know that she would not get her entree at the advertised price. The task of updating the board in a timely manner should be assigned to one of the employees. I shouldnt have been charged double for someone elses negligence.
I try to like this place but I am tired of the extra charges and if you arent paying attention ( like me) then they will get you for an extra 20$(like me). Lesson learned, if I ever go back I WILL make sure to read that little tablet before giving her my card. Oh ya, and never could get a fork. Had to eat my food with the chips.
Food was incredibly bland, and any vegetable garnishes were not fresh or colorful. Could have gotten a better taco salad by making it myself. Ordered online, but still had to wait 20mins or so past time that order was supposed to be ready. They had many selections, but the food provided had none of the heat or brightness of flavor expected. Overall a disappointment.
I had the carnitas tacos, which were pretty good and good portion of meat for the price, in the other hand i also tried the steak mexican style and the portion did not went proportionally with the price of almost 15 bucks, more likely should be on the 10 dollar rate. I never mind to pay but portion have to go balance with price. It may eat again there. Who knows.
Just got a to order 43$ worth of food 2 sour cream chicken meals and steak Ranchero. sour cream chicken had no flavor at all no seasoning whatsoever the steak was the toughest ribeye I ever ate and it was ordered medium was closer to rare rice and beans were ok cheese dip was good
Con: ordered for curbside pickup online & called when I arrived. I gave my name and was told it would be out shortly. She hung up. Did not ask when I was parked or what car I was in.After 15 minutes in the car I went inside. Two of the ladies inside told me they didnt get my online order. I showed it to them but no one wrote it down. They only went to get the manager because another online customer came in and interrupted to ask for himPro: the manager came out to tell us there was an issue with their portal where they did not get the orders. The food was pulled together quickly and correctly. He apologized and gave gift certificate for our next visit and extra chips.Food was good. -1 star because of the wait staff. Manager was great.
Weve been eating at Victorias for years. Everything has always been great and the good is so good. Im not sure if they have new management or a new owner, but things there are a lot more upscale than in years past. The prices have gone up a few dollars, but its worth it for the changes they have made. I ordered fish tacos and a shrimp quesadilla yesterday, and my husband got some kind of fajita with shrimp steak and chicken. The food was AMAZING! Ive had fish tacos, and I think these may be the best Ive ever had. The fish wasnt too seasoned but the mixture of flavors on top with the salsa Verde was delicious. My husband had more food than he could eat and brought most of it home. Thumbs up to the Victorias for new changes and always great food.
$14.00 for a shrimp chimichanga. Save your money, honey. The manager/owner said it comes with rice/beans OR the guacamole/lettuce/sour cream/tomatoes. For that price I would think it would come with both but not every Mexican eatery is the same.Oh yeah, they didnt even put cheese on or in my chimichanga. 😡I hope I can post a pic.
Consistently good service and food. Best quality Mexican food in the area. I have frequented this place for a couple of years now and was at first reluctant to sing their praises publicly as I did not want the place to start becoming crowded (they are so good) but then realized how unfair that was to the business so here we are.
After a long drive I need something easy and light before calling it a day. The Tokyo Train was close and turned out to be a pleasant surprise. This is hands down the best sushi I have ever had, well worth the drive. It is fresh, delicious and looks amazing. Staff were friendly and the tablet ordering system worked very well.
Ive never felt a need to post a review about any restaurant and I have had some pretty horrible experiences... However I love mexican food primarily because now days no matter where ya go ya can never get food that has been seasoned.. I believe its because people are afraid of being sued for any number of reasons... Allergies, preferences, ect. ect.. With that said i have never been to a Mexican restaurant where the food wasnt perfectly seasoned until now..... My wife ordered me the enchilada supreme come with 3 different enchiladas had it changed cause all i wanted was beef... I expected to have enchiladas and sauce beans rice pico guac or sour cream... Instead what i got was 3 bland beef enchiladas with cheese and lettuce on top and a sliced tomato (sliced like it would be on a burger)... I had to add some left over beans to it i had in the refrigerator and some seasoning just for it to be eatable... But in no means did it even resemble mexican food.... By far the worst supposed Mexican food i have ever had....
9/23/20 I ordered the Nachos with chicken and peppers for me and my daughter.. Now I know that cheese sauce comes on the nachos or at least suppose to anyway, Well I asked for extra cheese sauce in a cup. Well needless to say our nachos did not have the cheese sauce on it and they gave me two small cups of cheese sauce for our nachos, where is the extra sauce I asked for maam and I paid almost $30 for this. REALLY!!!! No I am not satisfied at all!!!
Went there many times before but today was the first time on a Saturday night. Karaoke night. 😝I ordered a taco salad. It was nothing impressive. Taco Bell has a better tasting and more visually appealing salad.Salsa was pretty good. I liked the complimentary bean and cheese dip. The chips were fresh and crispy. My date ordered a dessert if fried cheesecake tortilla which looked pretty good and she liked it.On a scale of 1-10 Ill give tonights experience a solid 6.
I went there today ordered two steak and shrimp dinners. Also got 12 shrimps , ask for them to be fried . They came to us grilled. The steak was too salty and the shrimps was not good at all. When we got ready to leave she asked us to we want a carry out tray ,we said no because we barely touched our food we told her it was too salty. She told a guy and he asked us what the problem was we told him he basically said nothing I paid $43 for water and tea . I will never go there again . Well maybe to get water if it’s free
I tried the super Hawaiian fajita and it was really really good! Only reason I gave them 4 stars is bcuz the house frozen margarita they gave me tasted like a whole box of salt and it took them 20 mins to decide to fix me something else after I told them several times I didnt like it and neither did the other person in my party. But overall their food was delicious and the salsa didnt taste like dishwater like other mexican restaurants.
Service was very unfriendly. Waitress rushed us. My chimichanga was tough to cut through the top then the dough raw on inside. Rice and beans were cold. Husbands steak was tough. The salsa tasted like tomatoes from a can. The breading on the Chile relleno was raw. The other Victorias we have been to was much better. We wont go back to this one.
The order was too salty. The young Latino manager refused to take responsibility for the overly sodium death meal. This was the worst Restaurant that appeared to be designed to put poor in the Hospital with Extermely High Blood Pressure. Gid Bless One America!!!Donald L. There used to be pretty good service here. Today, a friend and I went to eat lunch we walked in and the lady brushed us off and told us to find a seat. Service was very slack. We ate to baskets of chips before our food ever began to arrive. I had almost finished my meal before he ever got his. There was also something that might have been some kind of leaf or mold in my ice. We have been to Victorias twice today since the change over - the first and last time.
Food was good. Didnt like the fact the waitress did everything though the window in walkway instead of walking on floor to table, she handed drinks and we passed them out and had to hand her our cups for refills instead of her hanging out over our food to refill though window. Will seat away from window next time
If I could have gave them a zero thats what it would have been. The service sucked, we walked in waited a while to be seated then when seated they gave us no menus we had to ask for that. We had to ask for our drinks. A bigger party came in an ordered after us mind they got they food before us and when we got our food it was not right. Will never go again...
First time to Victorias. Will definitely not be my last! Everything from the perfectly made salsa (made fresh daily) to the pork tacos with just enough grilled pineapple. My mouth is watering just remembering how wonderful it was and Im still full. Cant wait to go back!
I work about a mile and half from Victorias. Ive never eaten there before in the 6 years Ive been working in the area. So, I tried it today for the first time. After, my fellow co-worker bragged about the 3 huge soft shelled tacos for $7.00. theyre not huge!!! You can get extra meat added to your tacos at taco Bell. And, theyre bigger than those. And, cheaper than $7.00. And, taste better. I wasnt greeted very friendly. But, noticed everyone after me got the red carpet/ white glove greeting. Treat everyone the same like you want to be treated. No matter race, Creed, or religion. And, add more beef😊.
Gross!!! NEVER AGAIN!!!! I ordered a steak chimichanga to go ...... by the time I got home (I live close) it was soggy not a crunchy bit on the entire chimichanga; just SOGGGGY !!!! It was gross the guacamole was gross tasting ...... I honestly will never go back and that sucks cause I very much wanted it to be AWESOME
Came here tonight for date night. Had an EXCELLENT time! The house margaritas were super fresh and not pre made, the salsa was good, the chicken and steak quesadillas were delicious! The blue margarita is a little sweet for me, but well made. The guacamole here is TO DIE FOR. Its so fresh! And the queso is great too. Good service, good food, will definitely be back!
The only people posting on this site, have NEVER had real MEXICAN food. This place is beyond foul.I thought to myself, if youre going to leave a bad review, let the people know why.So here we go, I grew up in Southern California, I live in Az and I work in Dallas. For those of you who are not sure, I know what Mexican food is supposed to taste like, they dont have a clue. However, if you like it, continue going. If you dont know any better, who the hell am I to say?
Horrible. Just to be one of our favorite places... Over last 6 months they have remodeled and changed staff and now its horrible. We gave it one last try and no good. The waitress paid us no attention.. She was mopping around us while we ate and then touching plates without washing. The lady that brought us food spoke no English so she couldnt help us. And the manager had to come ask what we needed but didnt bother to check back in. The food doesnt even taste the same... This place wont be around much longer if they dont make changes ... And Ive been writing this review while sitting in the restaurant and no one has checked on us once since our food arrived over 10 minutes ago.
Sat down, asked about happy hour, and the waitress said there wasnt one. Found a sign with happy hours specials and went to order one of the drinks and she interrupted me and said hold and walked away so that we couldnt order it as happy hour was over in 10 minutes. After she didnt come back we went to the bar when the bartender went to bring us our drinks the waitress grabbed them and took them to the old table. She then proceeded to talk about us within eat shot to her coworker thinking I could not speak Spanish. I informed my fiancé she was talking about us and she heard me because we were so close and walked behind a wall to continue before ignoring our table for another 15 minutes. They served my fiancé the wrong burrito and their quesadilla grande is in fact not a quesadilla, but opened faced flour tortilla with everything on top if it. Im appalled how one waitress who doesnt want to do her job impacted our whole experience, and the food was disappointing to say the least even if you look past it not being what you ordered.Update: talked to Oscar who seemed like the manager informed the waitress was horrible his response “oh really” and then smiled at us until we left.
Cut that star in half....will not be returning here. Ill drive out of my way to North Augusta for Mexican next time. Employees were pleasant but this place nickle and dimes it. Asked for the large bag of chips...asked the lady salsa comes with the big bag? She said yes....well it doesnt...got home saw this tiny cup of salsa..called the restaurant and she said oh....no you have to pay more. ..Im fine with paying but dang ...I did take out and still tipped 5 bucks to go home and eat some dried chips...aggravated
I used to go to this restaurant all the time...but the last 2 times it was just awful.I ordered a dish that was supposed to be steak, and it was ground beef. And it was fatty ground beef. When I asked about it, I was told that the menu was old, and that the item is supposed to be ground beef.My friend ordered Fajitas, and the meat was so well done, it looked like dried up jerky! He sent it back.I was charged extra for hot sauce, and charged extra for the cheese that was sent back with the Fajitas....aka Jerky!
Big waitress turnover, the recent waitress/bartender was veey mouthie! And also in the past one of the owners one of the sisters first letter in her name is F, has always had a problem with me, very unprofessional, you have a business and should be grateful of regular customers that spend money there for years! Was there Sunday 10/15/17
I travel a lot around the South and this is not a Mexican restaurant. Be warned that most of the comments are from workers and family. Very bland food. Watered down cheese dip, and guacamole. I love Mexican food and unfortunately this restaurant does not compare to most I have been to.
At the present moment, I am too busy enjoying the salsa fresca and margarita to invest the appropriate time required to describe explicitly my thoughts regarding VICTORIAS,.....but I will convey that it is as close to home as I have experienced on this side of the country.P.S.,...Home use to be Los Angeles. And L.A. has some of the BEST Mexican food North AND South of the border!! John Paul Dean.
This was my second time there and I always tip the waitress no matter where I go but this place added 10 extra dollars to my card every time the food is good I will go back but never use my card there ever again If you go check your card the receipt said 38 I was charged 48 plus my 5. Dollar cash tip

2021-12-20I was sat a table that wobbled so much, I thought I was on a cruise. The food tasted good, but was very small portions to the cost, and the waitress never came back if I wanted more salsa, nor did she come back for the one small nampkin. She did not give a receipt copy back for the bill and the change came back to the exact dollar. Something wrong there! There was also NO THANK YOU for coming in.

2022-07-08The Victorias fajitas were really good. The salsa that comes with the chips was distinctly tomato flavored and not particularly spicy. Nice flavor, though. The green salsa, on the other hand is both pretty tasty and very spicy. The horchata was the powdered kind but still not too bad. Over all this place is a do over when Im nearby.

2021-12-21Good food. Service was interesting. The water and drinks were not ever refilled. The waitress spoke only Spanish. The food was delivered in a timely manner. We got the guacamole (chunky), that was delicious and taco salads with steak as the meat. Three stars goes to the food. The staff was pleasant but communication was interesting.I would recommend.

2021-05-27Let me start by saying the customer service was top notch. The restaurant was clean and the staff very attentive. I personally didnt care for the food. The salsa tasted like spaghetti sauce and my main entree the steak and shrimp tasted like it may have had cinnamon or nutmeg in the sauce. The steak and shrimp were both cooked to perfection. I just didnt care for the seasonings and sauce they used. I would recommend them though.

2022-04-08I have given this restaurant three solid fair tries after two honestly rude and unpleasant experiences with the manager. The lack of quality restaurants near the South Augusta area leaves this as a prime option and I would certainly scratch this off your list now. First - The food preparation and quality is inconsistent. Quesabirrias were extremely delicious the first time and then the second time they were so dry & flavorless. I pretty much drowned them in queso just to add. Secondly - they will not make your Sangria or Margarita with Light or no ice. In fact, they will charge you double the price simply because you do not want to indulge in a cocktail filled 75% of the way with ice. Third: They will nickel and dime you. I’m truly a person that pays for convenience or whatever I may desire, however, charging for Sprite when I’m getting Club Soda ( carbonated water)when you have never been charged before is silly. Upon asking the manager about the matter because the receipt said Sprite, she told me that’s what I ordered. Also, I will preface- I had inform her of what Club Soda is because she did not know. So hence even greater confusion. $2.75 for Club Soda is not a big deal but when they are rude and express they will charge “whatever they want” then it transitions to horrible customer service. Lastly, I sat at the bar for 20 minutes and my food was brought out to me cold plus has onions as I requested to remove them. They lack attention to detail and are so quick to dismiss the customer when the concerns aren’t they huge. Sadly, I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

2022-02-15Weve been going here for Years! Tonight was the worst meal we ever had here. Husbands Burrito Supreme was Cold so the server took it back and nuked it. Came back with wilted lettuce and warm quac. She brought a new one after saying there was no manager there. My chimichanga was barely warm and had almost no ground beef in it. Also, I could barely taste the tequila in my $10 margarita. Will be a long time before we return to our go to place. Sadly disappointed.

2022-04-11Horrible experience. Was told this was authenic Mexican. Did not get our drinks until after most of the people at table were served, 3 people did not receive untensils until about 15 minutes after their food was delivered. 2 people did not receive food until everyone was almost finished. Waitress had an attitude this was all our fault. Everyone (7) said the food was horrible. So sorry we wasted our time and money on a very unenjoyalbe experience.

2022-06-08The meal was simple and kept me full and was tasty. Shrimp in a cream based sauce with rice and beans . The atmosphere is great! Would come here again.
