Walmart Neighborhood Market in other cities:
Convenient shopping center if youre strictly purchasing food. A fairly wide food selection for a neighborhood store. It is crowded and condensed due to the stores size, but manageable. I almost always find what Im looking for at this location. This location has self checkout so, checking out doesnt take long at all.
If this is the Walmart on Gillionville Rd, I dont like the employees in here. They act like its a problem for me to ask them for assistance especially at the Customer Service. I have had problems with getting someone to wait on me and one young man messed up on my JPAY PAYMENT and sent it to the wrong person even after I told him several times the name and I also gave him a copy of the paperwork with the correct information on it. Ugh I just cant do this Walmart!😜
Not one open cash register! Was all self serve checkouts only! They didnt even have anyone at the door. Was 100 percent honor system. I really think its funny that I have to pay full price for groceries and have to bag it on my own. I really didnt know it was my day to work at Wal-Mart. I guess i forgot my apron.
This particular location needs more readily and available employees to assist customers. Either no one can be found or theyre already busy assisting someone else. Please allocate more payroll hours during high peak traffic times and cutback elsewhere to accommodate your consumer base. Remember people are spending their hard earn dollars at your establishment, so treat them accordingly.
This place is convenient but horrible!!!! They dont care about customers and plenty have left to go back to other stores. There is no way a person should have to wait 10-15 minutes to checkout. But they love to push you to self checkout!!!! If I wanted to work for Walmart...I would apply.1 line open...10 people in line and they refuse to open another register !!!!
It was busy and the Wal Mart employees were stocking away.Found what I needed and was on my way. Seen no problem with what was going on. Just productively. Thanks for askingRuss [email protected]
Registers at self checkout reset 1145pm and 1200am. They only take debit/credit until then. How about instead of opening a register for cash payments, they tried to say wait till registers reset. But a manager open a register for us. No apologies. Just a explanation like we knew. Very inconvenient. Very unprofessional. If they stay off the phone long enough, maybe stocking wouldnt take its toll. And customers can have the attention they require.
I will no longer be using this walmart. Almost all the employees are rude and do not want to help you. Went there today to get a few items, i decided to go through a self check out. I noticed that the scanner was dirty(ive worked in retail so i know when the scanner gets dirty it makes it hard to scan items) and was not wanting to scan my items properly so i ask the self check out attendent if she could wipe it down she told me to removed my items that i had already bagged that it was probably slowing it down. I did that but it was no help i was already frustrated seeing how i asked politely if she could and she refused and went back talking to the other employee who was standing at the desk with her. I was going to talk to a manager or supervisor but she was the supervisor!
The checking out process is horrible and very unorganized me or others shouldn’t have to ring up ourselves it should be at least one or 2 lines open especially for people that has a lot of groceries it really don’t make no sense I was so aggravated and ready to get out of the store.
Nice store but not well stocked. They were out of French fries and most types of fish. Also, certain card types randomly show declined due to insufficient funds when there are funds. You have to take your card & all your stuff to customer service for them to type in your info. The next time you try it, transaction is seamless. Only have this problem at this Wal-Mart, no other place. Its embarrassing and time consuming.
The only reason I go to this Walmart is because it’s close to my house but I Absolutely hate this Walmart especially in the deli if you have to order cold cuts the employees there always have an attitude and so do the women cashiers the men employees are great but the women are the rudest... they really need to start hiring professional people... I’ll be calling corporate to complain once again.
What is the deal with the long lines i asked? What is so difficult about scanning and paying for yours stuff I asked?Wait for a while, finally scan something then 5 seconds later it asks if youre okay with it not accepting cash then after you accept it tells you to remove the item you just scanned from the bag. You do so, scan another item, put said item in the bag, and attempt to pay and it refuses to let you proceed...I proceeded to go to Publix and you should too.
Better than Albany publics... But thats not amazing. One big plus is that it is one of the few Wal-Mart neighborhood markets that is 24/7.The customer service here is iffy depending on who you get. The store is somewhat dissolved, though it is relatively clean.I will return.
While they dont have everything the supercenter does it is just what it says: a neighborhood market. They have pretty much anything you will need for a quick pick up or a low key grocery run. This particular building is new and still in good condition. 4 stars due to slightly cramped isles, and doesnt flow well. I found myself waking back and forth to find my items instead of the normal progression of products.
Went to bathroom while leaving passed customer service said excuse me have small question no one was at counter at that time. Was told by him I was not next.and given this look only him could give. EMPLOYES MOST SEEM TO HAVE ATTITUDES EVEN MANAGEMENT. POSITIVE NOTE THE STORE IS. CONVENIENTDONT HAVE TO GO TO LEDO RD
I bought a Walmart pizza. I cooked it and as I was eating it, I found MYSELF eating a long stand of hair. As I pulled it out of my mouth the other part was coming out of the Pizza. I stopped eating it and called Walmart the next morning to report it and to see what to do. I talked to several different people. They were NOT concerned with the fact that the pizza was contaminated with with someones hair and I had been eating the hair . They were only concerned with how much pizza was eaten. They NEVER said I am SORRY about that. They kept putting me on hold and only one person came back with no solution. They told me that being THAT half of the pizza was gone, and it wasnt even half that they couldnt see anything being done. They told me to waste my gas going that far out, bringing it back to see if anything could be done. STILL NO ONE APOLOGIZED. I dont know what was in that persons hair. But no one cared either.
Horrible place to shop as the store is not very cleaned. The rubber seals around the frozen foods and dairy refrigerators need to be repaired. They have self checkout lanes but the majority of them require either a debit card or credit card . If you want to pay cash they have only one lane for this which is often times a line. The foyer in the entrance into the store is very unkempt. The parking lot is scattered with trash. This store is fairly new but you would think it had been there a long period of time based on the condition.I would certainly not recommend this store to anyone. Its the kind of store in my estimation of using when youre in a cruch and need a can good or butter, otherwise I would recommend not shopping here.
This has got to be the coldest store in Albany! Seriously the different selections of food products are good but of course not as varied as a regular super store. And just like in all Wal-Marts, they push self checkout and have only two sometimes three cashiers working. The pharmacy doesnt carry a lot of usual drugs causing customers to wait while the prescribed medicine is ordered and then you hope they dont sell it to someone else before you get back up there to buy it.
I bought two items which I thought was in one bag but one item was in a separate bag and I left one bag behind. When I went back to the store and to the counter where I checked and told the associate I had left a bag she was extremely rude and told me I had taken both my bags. The store camera verified that I had left with only one bag. The rudeness was totally unjustified.
Wal-Mart is Wal-Mart but I come to this one most because the cashiers are usually sooo nice. Especially Q! (He wears an apple watch, but I cant remember his name past the Q.) He always asks how we are and unlike typical cashier script, he actually cares. Its really cool to get that in 2018 because being legitimately nice is almost considered passè.
Dont love Wal-Mart because the prices are still some what high. My only other place to do my grocery shopping near my house is Harveys on south slappey and I didnt feel like standing the check out line for 45 minutes to an hr!!! At this time of the day Harveys only as two registers opened. At least Wal-Mart has the self check out registers open that makes life easier.

2022-01-27I shop here several times a week & am usually satisfied. I have a problem with the pharmacy. For several years Ive paid $5.00 per month for a prescription. Recently one of my insurance companies stopped dealing with Walmart, so I switched to CVS. My monthly prescription is now $1.31.Seems like quite a discrepancy.

2022-02-05Very good, very well stocked and clean. Not much shopping traffic now. Get through the self service check out quickly and efficiently with some assistance from the Walmart associates.

2021-08-05I generally like the store, but it is very backed up today. With school starting soon and still early in the month. Need more cashiers. Self checkouts are good but lets be real. This is a busy store, because there are no others on that side of town. I like Walmart but seriously lets try to keep lines shorter and money order machines working. Thank you

2021-09-28Staff was very nice but seemed very confused as to what orders went where. Not sure what good check in is when they keep bringing carts by and asking my name. They need better tools or more knowledge about the tools they do have.

2021-02-26Was pretty crowded. Shelves werent stocked very well. There were quite a few employees huddled around talking in group close to the checkout counters not doing anything. All except 2 of the checkout lanes have been converted to where you scan scan & bag your own groceries. The only 2 lanes left where a Walmart employee rings up your items and bags them were both closed. Definitely wont be going back here. Having customers scan their own items really slows the process down & makes it take a lot longer to check out. I dont work at the store so Im not ringing up anything.

2021-11-14There is one employee there and was a very big help to me and my sister and we really do appreciate her. We were there around between 1pm and 3pm . We wish we had got her name .

2021-11-07No hand baskets available, but at least there werent pallets everywhere hindering my shopping. The workers are not very friendly, but the shelves were stocked and I got everything I needed.

2021-04-08Isles blocked with pallets of food all over the store. Out of most things I went after. Prices climbs from week to week. Never has wipes to wipe handle on buggies. Going to Public or Food Lion where they have cashiers & appreciate your business. Wal-Mart has a lot of expired or real close to expired food on their shelves. So tired of throwing out expired food, or doing without what I came after. Gone greedy on prices, a self service store, if they even stock what you need. Done with the Walmart neighborhood grocery store.
