Update on my last review from a month ago. Walmart grocery delivery has improved. First, the local shoppers have done an awesome job on my last four orders. Everything has been done in a timely manner. The shoppers choose great substitutes. Also, I can now see when the driver is on the way. The drivers that delivered my grocery have had pleasant personalities and great people skills. Keeping their safety and mine in consideration, I tape a tip to the door for them to express appreciation for them using their time to bring my groceries. If you are pleased with your delivery arriving on time, bless the driver when possible.
Decent store. You can tell different departments atleast try to keep it clean and organized, but if you know anything about working in retail then you know that can be almost impossible in a busy department. I love their online option and do that often. Its a hit and miss as far as whats in stock online but its still convenient and the employees who load the cars are always kind and helpful.
1/6/22 I was just at this store to do an exchange. I was waited on by Tamara, in customer service. . She was not too friendly. She handed me a gift card and said we no longer do exchanges, you will need to make a purchase with the gift card(as if she wanted me to go to another register). I said cant I do it here. She huffed and puffed as if she didnt want to do her her, and wait on me. Dont inconvenience the customers. Keep it simple by doing your job!When are you all going to get the money order machine fixed? Ive been coming for a month or so now, and its been out of order. You stand in line for 15 minutes or so, only to be told its down. Put a sign up or something, so I wont waste my valuable time for nothing.
Love shopping at Walmart but they need more cashiers physically to help customers we patronize the the store but you make us check our own stuff out and thats hardly ever a cash check out its always debit cards everybody doesnt have debit cards or money in an account sometimes they may only have cash
Zero customer service. Had to page someone to help me get paint from a locked cabinet 3 times. Then had to ask another associate if she could help me get someone. She responded as if I was interfering with her day, sighed and said “I’d have to page someone”. Several minutes later, finally got someone.Went to checkout. Lanes open with lights on but no one there. Associates chatting away in the aisle but no one comes over. Went to 3 separate lanes and finally someone came over. She proceeded to slowly open each bag on her carousel one after another while I loaded my entire cart onto her conveyor belt. I was finished and she was still opening her bags without getting a single item from my order nor saying anything at all. I asked if I needed to go to a different register and she replied, “No I’m just opening my bags.” Really?They make you feel like you’re inconveniencing them by showing up to their place or work to buy products from them that pay their salary. I don’t understand.
Variety of some items (ex. fresh baked breads, more cheese options, herb selections) could use improving, but options outside of the food area are pretty good. This place also NEEDS hand-carry baskets!! If Im only coming in for a few items, I dont want to be pushing around a giant basket OR dropping things on the floor because I cant hold them all in my hands. 😒
This review is for the grocery pick up only. Superb! Everything is always right and my shopper does a super job! WM pick up associates are super friendly and courteous! They are nothing like the associates that work inside (rude and unhelpful). Pick up service has always been seamless and super speedy. May never go inside a Walmart again because this is the way to shop!
Poor stocking in groceries, customer service around the store is horrible. Dont bother asking for help. They either dont know squat, or say ok and never help at all. I only use this store when I must, and for basics. The restrooms are always broken tore up and filthy.
The cashiers are nice, but thats about it. Its definitely not the worst Walmart Ive ever shopped at. There could be improvements with stocking products and presentation.lets not forget the two lines that you have to stand in one to check your own self out and then one to make sure you didnt steal anything when you walk out the door. I absolutely love the way you can hear the employees cursing three owls over or as are walking out the door dropping multiple F bombs I love having my kids up there because you can always see the enthusiasm on the cashiers face it’s a great place to shop if you don’t have a car to get to another town
The only reason it got one star is because thats the only way I could get to the review part of this survey. This was not only the worst Walmart Ive ever been in but the worst store of any store Ive ever been in. You would think that out of the six people we ask for assistance one of them could have stepped up. Even when I ask for the Mod no one could locate them. I finally just left. You just cant fix stupid. Who hired these people?
I went in to buy a pool. They only had one. I attempted four times to get someone to help me including going to customer service and having them paid someone in order to get this pool no one showed. After about 45 minutes of waiting for someone I took it off the shelf and pushed it to the register myself. The entire time other employees are looking at me push this pool and neither one offered to help me the guy at the register did not offer to help me I paid for the pool got it out the first set of doors as they checked my receipt still did not offer to help me I got it out the second set of doors and the guy pushing the grocery carts back in asked me if I needed help. He then proceeded to go get one of the carts and help me get it to my car. I have since tried to talk to a manager about the situation no managers are in the store no one can tell me what a manager can be in the lady at customer service was rude and snotty when I asked when someone would be in all she could tell me was shortly. And all of this happened by several employees were just standing around talking amongst themselves not doing any work. Worst experience with the Walmart ever!
Went to americus to tour college campus for my kid, had to make a stop at Walmart and needed some direction as the store is set up alittle different than at home. Customer service was rude beyond measure and the other employees were equally as rude. Great way to be towards people when you are a university town and wanting revenue.
This has to be one of the worst Walmart stores in all of the United States. The employees provide the worst customer service I have ever seen 1/2 the time they dont even know what theyre talking about. The nice lady in the Delhi should get a raise because shes the only one who can answer a phone theyre also. 3 times it just rang and rang and rang. 2 times she picked up and tried to transfer me to customer service desk. I dont think Ive ever been to a store with worse customer service. Not to mention rude. I wish 0 stars was an option.
There are never enough cashiers working.the riding carts for disabled people needs more attention. Some of them are out of order. The battery is low or theyre not working properly. Need better up keep of the carts. The employees are very helpful and Friendly. Of all of my years of shopping Ive never seen a rude Walmart employee. I spend more money at Walmart than any other store. Walmart is my shopping place.
Went in with a return and the accompanying receipt and customer service was God awful!! Bryant, his name tag read, with a yellow vest was extremely rude. I was so taken back because I didnt expect to be treated this way. Im from South Florida and I was in town visiting. I had made the purchase the night before and walmart was closing do I bought 2 different items and 1 was more suitable for my needs. So I went to return the other. As I approached customer service the cashier was already telling me that I could exchange ONLY with diapers. She knocked on the door behind her. I dont know her name because her name tag was TURNED AROUND,which when I worked for companies was AGAINST POLICY. I informed him that they were out of stock in girls pull ups etc. I asked him if they could check j vendors on the computer before I went on a blind search, again, and he said No and he told me head to the back where Cory nem were and they could assist. I went back, and Cory nem were nowhere to be found. It was just awful. So I exchanged for a size of diapers that were comparable in price, but werent even my babys size, since he said i could exchange only. I came home and returned them in Florida in literally 2 minutes time. Because I HAD MY RECEIPT!! I called corporate as I was in Walmart as well. Corporate told me that that wasnt their policy and they would have someone call me in 3 business days. Idk what type of people they are accustomed to, but Im really not the one. Yall need to treat everyone in your store properly though. They are spending their money.
This is the absolute worst Wal-Mart!!! Drug Dealers have better customer service... You have to wait on 18 people to do returns before you can do a transaction at the money center.. BECAUSE ITS THE SAME LINE!!!! IDK where all the employees are but they certainly aint stocking items or helping customers...
I was quite upset, I had cash for my purchase, but none of the scan an go took cash only cards, there was only 2 registers open with real people. The line of those trying and waiting to check out went all the way back to electronics dept and back up into the freezer sections. Needless to say. I left with out my needed items
If I could give this Wal-Mart a 0 star review I would! How they treat elders is horrible. My grandmother is disabled and cant walk and these workers told my grandmother and mother that they cussed them out because they went under the rope. there was nobody in the line to get into Wal-Mart and everyone one of their so called carts that are for the handicap only are broken. We will never go back😡
I hate Walmart! There are never enough registers open. This morning there was 1 register and a long line. Of course one of the people in front of me in line had an item that either didnt scan or needed a price check. We all stood there not moving for the longest time. Some of us were encouraged to use the self checkout which I despise. I had only 1/2 a buggy full so I went to the self checkout. I got everything scanned and bagged and then tried to pay. Of course, no checks are accepted at the self checkout. I guess we are just all supposed to know that. If I had any other choice, I would NEVER shop at Walmart again.
It is convenient for the most part for groceries and stationary items, it lack a lot of variety and character in the clothing department unlike other stores. I have been assistant in fashion shows and I know how to put clothes together. The clothing here lacks variety and style. Thrift stores have more variety. They need to step it up with trends and quality.
The only reason I’m giving a star is because it’s required to leave a review. Customer Service is HORRIBLE!!!!! Horrible is an understatement. Only reason I didn’t file a complaint was I didn’t get a chance to see the manager. If you ever have to go to customer service, DO NOT and I mean absolutely DO NOT go to Janice or Kendall!! They have the WORST attitudes to work at the customer service desk. They come in the door full of anger and negative energy. Lying to customers, arguing with customers, rolling eyes, etc. If you can go to any other store, do so!
Dont get me wrong I love Walmart. But the baby department has been awful the last few times I have gone on. They never have our size diapers. The cashiers rush and wind up over charging me for things I have had to go back to customer service 3 times in the last month. Its getting to be a headache.
Last Sunday we went to Capt Ds in Americus, we were greeted, we ordered, paid, and then we waited other people came ordered got their food one lady was finished and getting ready to leave when the girl that took our order came to clean off tables and saw that we didnt have our food yet, it was not even cooked yet,by the time we got our food we were so aggravated I got a to go box and took it home ended up feeding it to my dogs. To top it off they didnt act it bothered them at no I am sorry or anything like that, I will not go back again!!!!
Its clean and i can find things i need pretty easy. Just never have enough lanes open have to stand in line up to 15 minutes some times.Well at the time I really like this Walmart. But now they have changed so much . The last 4 times Ive been there no small bags of cat food the kind I buy. And some thing I bought is no longer there. I dont no what happened. Is this Walmart closing down or what ? I no everyone would hate if that happens.
I stood at the pharmacy for 30 minutes and no one would assist. I just wanted to know where the heating pads were located. I said excuse me 3 times and the pharmacist rolled her eyes but would not look up. There were no other customers at the area. I left to look for the heating pads myself. I walk by the area I had just been and an employee from another department was being waited on. There were now 4 Walmart employees. No one would help. I hate this store. The employees must be rating this store a 5★ ... Smh only a few nice employees.
Two stars is being very generous. The store itself is typical for a WalMart, but the people! Man, they are terrible. Unless upper-level management comes by, they just do whatever. Half of the greeters won’t talk to you, the cashiers are hit or miss, and I actually think the youngest guy there is the best one. That’s a little messed up (no offense because you are really good. Keep it up!).This wouldn’t be such a big problem, except the minute management comes there is a huge change. I’m just tired of coming in and it bring a wreck. You have to flag people down at the self-checkout all the time. BUT when the DM is there, they’ll wipe your ass for you. Just ridiculousI don’t expect WalMart to be perfect; just better. Really let down guys. And the only reason I continue to shop here is simply because we have nothing else (variety wise, Harvey’s and Food Lion are great). I just don’t think this will work out. It’s totally not me. It’s you.
Worse Walmart I have ever witnessed in my life Everybody is totally Stupid working in their. from the hunting department to the front of the store Im telling you now is The worst Anybody that says different They got to be nuts also. Theres only one guy in the Hunting. department and hes white. that has an idea . whats going on around there.. If I was a crook of could of made 80 some dollars or cause they got cashiers that dont know how to give change back. I give him a $20 bill and I get change back for a 100 This place is crazy!
On July 29, 2017 approx. 11:00pm I stood in line for 15 to 20 minutes only to hear the cashier saying everybody at the end of the line go to the other line that was wrapped all around the beginning of the store.. so I had to wait another 15 minutes just to check out. Only two lines opened and the cashier that was on #3 register didnt suppose to cut her light off until she got every body out that was in her line before it was time to go home. I give this Walmart a 1 star. Never will I ever go back to this Walmart.
Accidentally left some items at the store that I paid for. Have tried to contact the store but have listened to it ring for over ten minutes straight. No one will pick up. Stockers and employees are very kind. But Walmart has no use for customer service. The lines are always long. You can never get anyone on the phone. They just dont care.
I had a good experience while I was at Walmart. Once again it would make me happy if you could call in your order and pay for it over the phone and then have it shipped to your house or just go pick it up and never have to get out of your car. That is unless you want to.
The customer service was so bad I will now be shopping elsewhere! she gave me $1.02 for a pair of gloves that I paid $3.97 for! And she only did this after 5 minutes of telling me she couldnt take it back with her manager standing right there telling her to take the damn gloves back!!
Its alright for a Walmart, though there are remarkably few employees available in the respective departments and this branch seldom has enough cashiers working to keep up with the customer flow. From my experience at other Walmarts I would give this one a 3.5 out of 5
Kim in the Bakery was super nice and outstanding I had called earlier because we are staying at the Windsor Inn to see if they had the big cheese cakes for a anniversary event tomorrow and she went over and above my expectations she checked to make sure they had a couple extra ones. Thank you Kim !!!!!
This place has everything I need... More-so than the other Walmarts in the other areas around here. I just wish the employees were more friendly. I have spoken to them directly after checking myself out, and on my way out the door and its as if I was talking to the wall or I dont exist.... But other than that its great.
Everyone is suppose to love Wal-Mart but I cant give a 5 star because my shopping experience was just ok. Its not the fact that they change everything around so much but because the majority of the time, zoning isnt correct. Items are in the wrong location so therefore, youre unsure of pricing. I can never have a wonderful shopping experience if Im constantly checking to see if an item is priced correctly. Its not my job to check barcodes, I trust the associates who work there. The staff is ok, some not all are not friendly. They want speak and if youre asking a question concerning another area from which they work, you just ask them to kill themselves, youre basically on your own. Ive worked in retail for over 35 years and cross training was a must so that the customer was given the best service. Now the biggest problem which I hate is the fact that when its in the peak of the busiest time of the day, theres only a few registers open. Why????? Why would you allow customers to stand in a lonnnnnnnng line and wait; not everyone like the self check out and then theyre not properly working sometime. When dealing with retail on a large scale such as Wal-Mart, be prepared for some disappoint because everyone doesnt understand RETAIL is about SERVING.
The selwction in the store is not very good. All the surrounding walmarts are much better in regards to the selection of products they have. They also do not have many registers open and close the self checkout at night which forces you to wait in a line at the register.
No one at fitting rooms. 2 people paige them. My mom and I also asked other employees for help. My niece finally went under the door to let my mom in so she could try clothes on. We were probably at the fitting rooms for over an hour and no one ever came to help us. The one star is for the few employees that actually tried to get someone to help us.
Walmart is excellent but they dont need to have more registers open when they see a lot of people out there people dont need to be similar standing around waiting on the register into the open and some of those electronic cashiers heaven Ben most convenient to me but I appreciate Walmart but most the time we should open up a got too many
Its Sunday morning had to call 4 times B4 someone answered. Passed me to wrong department who hung up on me. This is the WORST WAL-MART Ive been to but its the ONLY one close. Columbus, Albany are run so much better. Why cant Americus have SEPERATE Customer Service from cash transactions. I hate having to wait for a refund while people are filling out forms to send/receive money or other transactions which usually take more time. I know management probably never look at reviews but they should to see whats really happening at their store.
I love Wal-Mart but this store is severely lacking in the diversity of their products. They have plenty of stuff, thats for sure, but not near as much as most other Wal-Marts that I have been too. For an Everything store, this place is great, but compared to other Wal-Marts this location is not hitting on much.Sidenote : I do enjoy being able to get cheap glucose test strips and insulin without a prescription so there is always that.
WalMart Supercenter is a great place to shop. If you cant find what you are looking for at other stores, go to WalMart. Your experience at other stores will let you know to go to Walmart first.Ive never gone to Walmart and not found what I needed, even if it had to be ordered and shipped in.Go to WalMart first.You WILL find what you are looking for.One issue I find with WalMart is that you can not find associates to assist you, unless you walk all over the store to find someone (anyone). They must be invisible.WalMart - get your associated in gear assisting customers. That is not good customer service.That is my one issue.But please, shop at WalMart.

They have reasonable prices on clothes, and a little of everything, but they need more places for disabled people, and seniors to sit down, and REST, plus more cashiers, because many seniors, and others do not trust self serve, and will stand in long lines to just be able to get out, before they give out!!!
This Walmart in particular is very poorly stocked. If something runs out on the shelves it could be a month or more before anyone puts more out. Also, if you ask an associate for help they will just say I dont know and wont bother trying to go any further to assist you. Bad customer service.
Only had two lanes open at 9:30 at night and had already shut down the self check outs I thought the purpose of self checkouts where so that they could be open at times when the store is understaffed I waited in line for 20 minutes just to buy a pack of cheese. Also the management is rude and the store is nasty and never properly stocked
I just called to ask if this Walmart had one of those nail salons up front, just couldnt remember. The lady who answered cut me off mid-sentence and said, verbatim Im gonna transfer you to customer service cuz I dont know what you talkin bout. This is Americus Wal-Marts 3rd strike with me. The other two include having an employee run into me because they were walking forward while looking over their shoulder and carrying on a wholly inappropriate and profanity riddled personal conversation, AND a particularly grumpy geriatric back near electronics that literally told me she was busy when I asked for help.I fully plan on contacting corporate about the management teams inability to recruit, train, and retain a team of associates with even a modicum of professionalism or courtesy. Until they have been replaced my business will not be going to the Americus Wal-Mart.
At Walmart in Americus, Georgia The store Manager Robin Early doesnt know how to talk to her associates,she has a very very nasty attitutude.because of her position she feel that she can talk to peoples any kind of way.and you try explaining yourself to her she will threaten to fire you..This Lady has caused a lots of peoples to lose there jobs,she needs to replaced and that way Walmart will keep quality employees..her attitude is bad with customers as well....

2022-05-06Ordered a cake for my daughter’s birthday lady in the bakery was very rude acted like she just hater people, I said thank you when she handed me the cake all I got back was mmhmm, I look at the cake and it looks pitiful ordered a half sheet cake that’s not even trimmed so it looks like it’s melting. I will not be using them ever again.

2022-03-13I’m standing in Walmart in this NO ANSWERING THE PHONE FOR GROCERY PICK UP OR ANY NUMBER trying to get my groceries and I guess they thought I was leaving without my groceries but THEY GOT THEM. Since I had to go in I needed cigarettes. Yes they sell cigarettes but there’s NOT A REGISTER OPEN THAT CAN SELL THEM??? Who have they hired to run this place??? Whoever it is needs to find something else to do like be a TREE or something easy because this absolutely above their level of expertise! Find a manager that manages and doesn’t just befriend the folks hired to take care of people who are the reason you get a paycheck which is obviously what the CEO OF WALMART IS NOT TEACHING HIS EMPLOYEES!

2022-05-03I know there have to be a bunch of hardworking people here, but they are overshadowed by many who aren’t helpful, rude or simply lazy. The managements lack of oversight is apparent, with mislabelling, pricing, messy displays, and shelves in disarray. I know a box store faces a lot of challenges, but this one is one of the worst.

2022-06-29We are not hired as cashiers so why should we check ourselves out. I’m so tired of being used. They can’t say they are doing this to save money because they are investing in Robots and driverless vehicles on our expense. Not to mention, they’re prices are going up if you have noticed. It’s cheaper to go to the dollar store now. I about tired of shopping at places that I have to check myself out of. 😡😡😡

2022-06-07Still waiting for my paycheck....Last I checked, I dont work for WalMart. 12 checkout stands and 4 self checkout stands. Take a guess which ones are open?They do have tons of goods and food, so that a plus I guess?

2022-06-06Only gave it a one star because I had to. If I could, I would give the Walmart in Americus Ga, a NEGATIVE 5 stars. On my last visit there, I had issues with the self check out station and had to get help from an employee THREE different times. And only after I jumped and waved the employee over did she finally come to help. After I had finally finished scanning my items and paid, I started out through the doors with my receipt in hand. I exited the interior door but before I could exit the second, exterior door, a guy ran up to me, grabbing the front of my buggy, saying that he was with the Walmart asset protection team, and that he needed to speak to me. He asked me to bring my buggy into the security room, and although confused, I complied. Once in the security room, I was accused of stealing by not scanning items properly. I was still confused, as again, I had gotten help THREE different times from a Walmart employee, who never mentioned that my items werent being scanned properly, but I agreed to let them go through my items and receipt to see what did not scan correctly. Once they showed me the items that did not scan correctly, I then offered several times to go back and let them scan my missed items so that I could properly pay for my stuff and go. Granted, I was distracted, talking on the phone, have a ton of personal issues going on, and was also rushing, as I had to pick up my son from school early, but I had gotten help from a Walmart employee THREE separate times during check out, so I did NOT realize that I had accidentally scanned stuff improperly. I showed them (via apps on my phone) that I was financially able to afford my missed items and again offered to pay for my accidentally missed items. They literally laughed at me, were whispering stuff about me, and then told me that wasnt possible. They detained me, called the Americus police department, and had me arrested. I was taken to the Americus police station, finger printed, booked on the charge of theft by shoplifting by scanning items improperly and then was released with a court summons to appear in court in July 2022. I will NEVER return to that Walmart again! I have heard of several other people that this has happened to as well at the Americus Ga Walmart location. I am disgusted with the whole situation and cannot wait to go to court with my lawyer so that they can be proved wrong!!!

2022-02-20I use to like Walmart. I went to order a cake for my daughters 13th birthday. She wanted chocolate bread with butter cream icing.. Im posting the cake I wanted and the cake I received 😥, the bakerys customer service is TERRIBLE! They act like you arent even standing there, they never greet you, its like your invisible! But when you say something oh your wrong! I didnt want a refund nor did I want another cake. I just wanted them to know that they messed up the cake. The only part they got right was I wanted more pink than blue. And they even spelt Birthday wrong!! Clearly you see WHITE BREAD! My daughters didnt even eat the cake! I will be driving 20 plus miles for my next cake! (Publix)

2022-02-22Without a doubt, the Americus, Georgia Wal-Mart has to be the worst Wal-Mart store in America. I tried to do some grocery shopping and had to constantly struggle through grocery aisles blocked by store employees stocking shelves and store employees filling orders for curb side pick up. I waited ten minutes in line to check out which is actually a relatively short wait at this location. The cashier rang up all of my groceries and I put them in my cart. Then when I went to pay, they were unable to process a SNAP purchase. I was forced to leave a cart containing $150 worth of groceries. Ridiculous!
