Walmart Supercenter in other cities:
The Walmart location at MLK is 3/4 closed only food and 1/4?parking lot !!!! they are remolding. It’s a Walmart but it seems like all the departments are smaller. Everything else was fine. Biggest plus was when there was more than 2 people in line everyone seemed to jump in and several people opened up more registers, never have seen that before
This Walmart is terrible. Its dirty. Unorganized. The employees are moving at the speed of snail. There is no self check out and the unprofessionalism is the worse I ever seen. My God! Update: so they have self checkout now. Problem is, the lines are now longer than before because everyone is using them and the option to go to a cashier is limited to one cashier, which is just as long if not longer!
Its a nice Walmart but very poorly managed. Theyre never quite have everything you looking for, they DONT order popular items often enough, the lines are long and slow, and the management cant handle the menial task of keeping shelves stocked. Its sad actually because I see the potential, its simply not realized!
Lines are LONG all Walmarts are but this one is way past understanding Why there will be 7 associates conversing in random isles and only 2 registers open. Cashiers have attitudes (Which they should) they are being overworked. Customer service line is like waiting at all local club. I stopped shopping here a year after it opened, now years later I see why. Its definitely room for improvement no matter location
I feel like every customer is a suspect here. Maybe with good reason, but definitely would go to another one if it were convenient.Love the fresh pork belly!Sometimes shopping carts are not available, again I sorta understand why, and they do try to round them up in a timely manner.Staff is friendly, but seem to be doing the dual job of surveillance. Not everything Im used to in a Super Walmart, but okay for college students basic needs, which must be their target customers.
Its ashame that WE get treated like this in our own neighborhoods....I go to Marietta and something as simple as a portable charger is easy to get to, but I come to the MLK location and the same product is locked inside of a glass case and its 10am and no one is working the electronics section and no one I the store can find the person with the electronics key. 20-30mins to get help with something that took less than 5mins at a different location 😑😑😑
A quintessential example of corporate disdain for American customers, especially those from minorities. This store is located in the heart of historic civil rights movement HQs and is probably the worst Walmart ITP. Dirty, poorly stocked, barely two functional cash registers at any given time; no self check-out kiosks (which is discriminatory); always out of carts and the list goes on and on. This area was a food desert before so they think putting up a bare bones Walmart is development.Update: The store has been mostly closed since a small fire broke out on May 3. The hours were already 7am - 10 pm (when all other Walmarts are open 6am-11pm) and now theyre partially opening it at their discretion or turning away customers otherwise. No accountability ever. The store should get the title of the worst store in the southeast, maybe all of the U.S.
I pulled up and noticed the lights were off but also a lot of employees were outside. Before I walked away from my car 3 feet I one of these employees yells we are closed I looked at my phone and the same guy from ealier adds we closed at 10pm but it says 11 here Google Maps. Fix it.
There were three Cash Registers open this evening when I went in the store ( 6:50 PM).I think since it is near the first of the month and after work there should be more staff scheduled to accommodate customers until 9:00 PM.I had a chuckle when I saw this display below. Everyone around me was pleasant in line as we waited. This made our delay easier to deal with.
The Cashier that rung my grocery items was a GREAT young lady BUT the woman that was working in the Electric area was a mess. I had to keep asking to see a item locked up. She thought I wasnt going to make a purchase or It saw going to waste her time.I should have went to my neighborhood Wal-Mart.That younger cashier that ring my grocery up made up for my nasty experience I recd earlier.
It closes at 10:00 not 11:00. I question the legitimacy of any good reviews for this store. They must be people who can be easily tickled. But long lines stretching into the aisles. Employees joking with other employees or on the phone while people wait. Employees not seeming like they care.
There isnt much at this store compared to other locations like Howell Mill. Also, there is always free entertainment at this store and I come back from each trip with a whole lot of stories to tell. The aisles arent very wide, so not even two carts can come down one aisle, which is very bad when its busy. Checkout lines can be very long! The employees are very knowledgeable and helped me find a specific item in an odd location when I needed help.
If you HAVE TO HAVE this Walmart, then come on. Otherwise...go elsewhere!Simply by virtue of its location, this HAS to be the worst Walmart. I wish it wasnt so, but it is. No self-checkout at this location (see update below). ALWAYS A LINE in this store; Ive NEVER been in & out. Seriously, never. It boasts Supercenter, but its a DWARF STORE. Its smaller than others, not all departments are represented, & inventory is diminished. If youre in the area Walmart.com shld tell you if this store has your selections.UPDATE: There are now a few self-checkout registers noticed in June 22
Update: They closed over an hour early on the Saturday before Christmas. Wow.They have paid people to leave reviews here lol. I live two blocks from this place and its always a huge hassle. Mostly its the lines... they never have enough cashiers and refuse to open self checkout. Multibillion dollar corporation and they dont care..Parking lot looks like a dump, trash everywhere always. Often out of what you need... check the dates because they dont!!!
There are not enough cashiers. The lines are very long. There wasnt anything on the shelves.I went for only 10 items I was only able to locate 3 items. When I asked for assistance I was told that if I dont see it for get it. I try to go to my local store but if they dont have what I need I have wasted my time.
Waited an hour for someone to come to electronics. There were more employees outside standing around then working inside. Asked the shift lead several times to get me help in electronics. Finally sent someone over and he couldnt answer any of my questions on finding the products I was looking for. It was frustrating and ridiculous. Never going back.
My experience was very inconvenient this go round. First thing, the customer service was closed all day Sunday! Next, the cashiers was only taking cards only. No signs posted stating that informations. I went to three different lines waiting just to find out that they wasnt taking cash. Only one register was taking cash, and there was a line.
The employees will look you right in the face and not speak. Also there is never enough cash registers open. I only go there, because its convenient. Whenever I feel like driving, Ill go to a Walmart farther out. Where the employees dont act like it hurt them to speak. Plus the customer service is so much better.
So this store supports 4 local colleges that start the same time. Having been in the area for many years and the student are a large part of your consumer base, how are you not prepare for the week school open? If you can find what you want, it take almost 1 or more to check out. I had to go there 4 times overa 2 day period and the quickest I could check out was 50 minutes. They have no self check outs.
Located in a highly populated area and very busy on a Sunday afternoon. The location felt different and more like a neighborhood grocery store and then a Walmart. The parking lot is kind of small but it has to be given the location near the city. The Mercedes-Benz stadium is within eye distance from this location and there is a popular restaurant across from the shopping area.It took about 20 minutes in line to pay for the handful of snacks I purchased but I was entertained by another customer. The workers seemed very competent but they needed more help with the volume of customers.
A worst walmarts of them all. very very very slow check out the staff is rarely helpful the police(apparently stationed there) always have the worst attitudes like theyre not being paid to be there. The bathroom clean 50% of the time. The selection is always insufficient.
Reps at this location have no customer service at all. Why would you mark down the middle of my receipt with a purple permanent marker. Most store put a check at the top. How do I submit this to my job for reimbursement. Now I half to go back to the store to reprint the receipt like this is $300 worth of stuff. I can never shop at this store again. Luckily I used my credit card
I hate the lines here. I hate the lack of cashiers. I hate theres no deli, bakery, just bare minimum. Not well stocked, I need to drive to Cascade or Reseach Drive just to get some water (Aqua Fina). But they keep Essentia stocked up... Every section is small, like they arent even trying - and they close early. Its a sad, sad store.
Uhh no! I go here only when I am cooking on Sundays and in need of an ingredient that a recipe calls for that I am out of, lines toooo long. My daughter and I were there one day that a man was outside fighting with a police officer, my daughter kept screaming youre going to jail, lol we decided then not to go back and like I said I only go in dire need.
It was horrible it was so horrible cuz its really sad that the employees do not like to help the customers they are just not correct and someone need to get that store in order the other manager at the store theyre at Martin Luther King and Ashley he was real nice but then it was for another manager that was first I talked to him he is not correct but the other manage I talk to he told me they know thats what they supposed to be it from the beginning but they didnt so I had to go through that about an hour in that store but other than that everything turned out to be okay
The cashier was pleasant and double bagged my purchase and the police officer in the store came to my aid to help me with my bag as I was rushing out of the store to meet a deadline. I dont really come into this particular store alot. So I saw the upgrade in the quality of service..
Unfortunately have to drop this down to three stars. I love the location but they can do better w these lines. Only two or three registers open and even when the store is almost empty the lines are unbelievable. Then stock is almost always out. At least they have some pretty decent customer service but its almost always bad news of some sort. I wish i could rate them higher but i just dont see how.
I ordered something online and the communications I received indicated there was curbside pick up available. When I arrived to the parking lot there were no signs indicating curbside pick up so I parked and went inside. There was only one employee at the customer service desk where the online pick up is located. There was a line so I waited for about 15 minutes before leaving. I expected the pick up area to be run more smoothly.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICEOrdered a printer online and recd confirmation item ready for pick up only to get to the store and be told the item is not in stock while my walmart acct is still showing item ready for pick up. I would give them negative stars if that was an option
Walmart is one of the most customer service Stewart Ive ever seen you standing line for 30 minutes before you can even get checked out they dont even have enough tellers in there working to get you checked out its really ridiculous and this isnt just one time this is all the time
The employees do the best they can. The ones that be there for the most part be working & showing customers service well. I have had quite a few hiccups & anyone I encountered was a great help. But the thing is they cant keep that good help because of the location. People we have to do better to support or neighborhood support systems. Stores school s etc.
I had a problem when i asked for help getting some headphones, the guy who i asked for help came out of nowhere & told me i was asking too many questions & walked away from me, i then went to customer service & asked to speak to a manager, a woman spoke & said im the manager, i told her what happen, she sent someone to help me & i got some headphones that i like. If it wasnt for the first guy who wouldnt tell me his name & turned his name tag around so i couldnt see it, i would have had pleasant & wonderful time at walmart. I fear going back he would be one less employee that would help me not
Only 2 register opened and lines were long, if you have a question never ask to associate they will ignore you. You see the costumers taking stuff and putting in their purse or pocket and walk out the store like nothing is happening super ghetto places. I was staying near in an Airbnb and I said never again to this Walmart in my whole week that I Stayed there.
They hired the most laziest MuthaFkrz in ATL to work there...the chics at the only 3 registers open out of 15 in the store all are frustrated cuz they are ready to close the register down 6 hours before the store even shuts down ...its more employees standing around talking 🐃💩 Looking at the loooooong lines...instead of jumping on a register... Ive seen people stealing and i just looked the other way... because the customer service sucks...this place make me wish I wasnt black sometimes...employees chilling in front of the store outside smoking herb... I will be back to the review with photos so you can see how this place is ran...JUST LEFT 4/9/2018 this Heffa closed her register down saying she going home with tons of people in line...walks away from her register then stand around for additional 10 running her DAMN mouth
This has to do with the lines. There are 13 lines total. Im currently in the store and there are quite a few people in here and only 3 lines are open. This is ridiculous 😒. Plus there are no self checkout lines....I wonder why🤔. I have to put this line situation on management. Do better in the African-American community please!
Im only given Walmart five stars because of two workers at this location . One is Cedric which is in the picture . He stopped what he was doing just to help me . He answered all of my questions before he went back doing what he was doing prior . Also Kempton, he was with another Walmart worker when I needed to find Cedric to thank him for helping me. He also stopped what he was doing until he help me find Cedric. Thank you for these two Walmart workers. I do not know them. I am only a true Walmart customer
Got to be one of the worst Walmart stores around my God. Lines are always long, cashier are slow and definitely need better training the staff in a whole is poor and they never have things on the shelf that they clearly have in stock. Someone needs to get hold of that walmart.
Upon walking in the door I was treated incredibly rudely by the security guy. I asked him a simple question and he laughed in my face and walked away. if he feels like he can treat a customer that way with no concern then clearly the problem begins at management. Will not be returning here again!!
The pharmacy is very good. They have a sms system to let u know when ur script is ready. The wait in-store to pick up is generally a short 5 min. The rest of the store tho...no self-check out and slow service make a busy shopping day much longer. And watch the bag carousel. Theyll have u leaving items behind whether buy accident or not, it sucks to get home and find paid for items missing. They could use a good store manager to fix the stocking issue. Many Shelves mostly empty and disorganized with pallets of unopened boxes nearby. Again this is a southwest Atlanta issue. Poor and no services are standard. Its getting better tho cause the beltline and rising rising property values are bringing more white folks . Wonder where the first Starbucks will be?
Terrible experience, stayed at an airbnb nearby visiting from SF. My girlfriend and I walked hear and as soon as we stepped inside it was evident that this was as ghetto as Walmarts get. I asked 4 teammembers the same question and 2 of them were completely wrong, and the other 2 practically ignored me and said idk. Its clear that the staff doesnt care about their jobs
I just needed a box fan. I asked 3 different employees who sent me to 3 different areas of the store-No fans. I asked a fourth employee and was finally told that they didnt have any fans because when it gets close to winter they stock heaters. Would have saved me a substantial amount of time if the first employee I asked had told me this.
Im glad this Walmart is in our neighborhood. I wish the art section was a little bigger but I also understand that its a campus store. I can say the crafts Dept they do have has rare finds in it that do make my day, so I look over there every stop I make to see what they have. I recently found some cricut vinyl and a spin paint kit. Very happy about that! This is my go to Walmart store though, if they dont have it I go to the Howell Mill location.
Customers service everyone was frustrated because the employee just sat in a chair at register moving at his own pace and not helpful or had any customer service at all. Also for pick up noone was there when a customer asked for pickup assistance the boy was rude nonchalant went and got someone and she came over with another youngman he was saying oh no Im off Im off Im off .just poor customer service with them all at customer service booth.
Money center let the line add up.to about 20 people, with it being a 8am opening time, the lady didnt help us until about 815, then had a attitude because we kept asking other employees whats the hold up. If your in a rush dont come here u will be in this walmart for more time then expected.
The last 3 consecutive times I’ve gone the cashiers set aside one of my bags beside them. They hand me all of my bags except the one they have set aside. After I pass them I look in my cart and see I am missing what they took. Then I have to go back and ask for my bag they set aside. Check your bags and your receipt. Will report them to corporate because 3 times back to back is not a coincidence.
Walmart corporate help this store out. They need more cashiers on a regular basis. The lines are ALWAYS 10+ feet into the clothing dept. Its unsafe in a pandemic, it sends the wrong message because it only exists to this degree at the Walmart in the West Side versus what I have seen in Smyrna, Marietta and Acworth
Service was non existent at this place.. I asked 4 people for help and they all said someone will be right here. I was then told by one employee/manager when I asked for a specific item Do you know where you are white boy, you in the hood, we dont sell those items here.Well, at least I learned that I live in the hood and Walmart does not cary many sporting good products at this location and if you are miserable at customer service you can still get a job hear.. You might even get promoted to management.
Great Walmarts in this area, way better than any of them I frequent in Fulton County. I have to wait in line over 30min sometimes at Walmarts in urban areas. There is definitely a double standard, crooked azz Waltons have the Walmart on my side of town looking like a prison line when you trying to checkout.😢😢😢 They probably are amused by those type Walmarts.
I needed lightbulbs and a key ring, so I ran to Walmart. walking through the store, I found a few other essentials, like an air freshener for small spaces and rotary cutter blades and some candy...until I couldnt hold anything else in my hands. I headed to the checkout with my treasures. I looked for the best line - I have a real fear of dying in line in a Walmart. I dont want a food death, or a Walmart death, so I dont stand in line with anyone who looks like theyre gonna pull out a checkbook or count out exact change (like my dad). There was only one line and it was closing time. I put everything down on the nearest shelf and walked out. I went to Kroger and got all the same stuff, except for the rotary cutter blades.
The pickup center is literally right at the front door, off to the immediate left. But the waiting time can be a drain. BRING YOUR I.D. if youre picking up goods youve ordered for store pickup. Service counter staff arent exactly in a rush, but are very nice and helpful people. This is absolutely on the poor side of town, but the people are nice - the cutest kids out tricking on their bikes, popping wheelies and other stunts. They have what looks like could pass for a club bouncer at the door - hes the security guard. A real nice guy. Staff there is polite and theyll help you find stuff if you get lost. Absolutely love to go here because they have an excellent selection of goods to purchase. This is my go-to spot for in-store pickup because its easy to locate the station and this store has plenty of available parking.
This is my fav Walmart. I think I know everyone there now. The employees use face masks and gloves. The lines are long because it is a popular place so try to go early in the day to avoid the lines. During the height of the virus, they were always working to restock. I had to go back a few times for cleaning supplies, toilet paper and paper towels but the restock only took a few days. Better to wait, then pay higher prices somewhere else.
I’m using Google reviews to recognize Mr. Johnny Murphy, an excellent employee at this Walmart, for going above and beyond in helping me with my pickup order. He called me personally to let me know of updates in inventory and then met me in the store and helped me with my pickup. He was extremely pleasant and radiated joy and goodness in his interaction with me. Quite frankly, I was floored by his care and consideration. I have never experienced this type of customer service at Walmart, so Mr. Murphy is truly an exceptional employee and he should be recognized and promoted. Thank you Mr. Johnny Murphy!!
This Walmart is very busy seem like the supervisors would at least help they cashiers out. They stand around talking not Mr.Johnny he is very helpful it’s a manager that work in site to store she always be working also. I use to pick up a lot of site to store order from there now I make the drive to Thornton Road Walmart I gave 4 stars because of Mr.Johnny and the manager lady that in Site to Store they greet you with a smile omg they are warm hearted
This store is very convenient to my location I live right off of Joseph Lowery and Rock Street just down below Ashby MARTA station I went to Walmart today on Martin Luther King Junior Boulevard and bought hey Care Bear a pink colored one there are three generations of women that go to my church there is Sandra who plays the piano there is Jennifer her daughter and Leah Jennifers daughter
I love shopping at Wal-Mart, its a one stop shop. My daughter and I stop in there sometimes when she get off from working at 11pm, I like their hour of closing time at midnight, give me some time to run in there and do a little shopping.some stay open 24/7. We shop when they not crowded, you find everything you need in one store. When you dont feel like running around town, stop in one of their stores, save you time and money.😆 Always fine what I need when I go there.😉 Take stress off you running all around town! Just Saying!😉God bless! Enjoy!😎
It was decent however you will most definitely feel as though you are in the hood. After standing in line paying for my items the greater still asked to see my receipt. How the store is set up and how my items were packaged you could clearly tell I paid for my items.
Good service, very friendly, able to shop comfortably, other customers were friendly, knowledgeable tech dept., cashiers were fast even with many customers. Lost only one star due to mens dept. not having my boxers, but, i didnt ask; and didnt have small shopping carts. Overall very good 4 stars!
Now this Walmart is incredible.......... All wrong 4 a neighborhood store. The store layout is fine as far as square footage but the items they sale is not needed for the area that its in. Rethink the merchandise. (1) Not so much toys during off seasons. (2) Not enough electronics. (3) More home improvement items. (4) 2 many beauty care products. (5) Not enough fresh produce. (6) More cashiers all the time. (7) More than 1 person at money center. And please teach associates customer service. (8) The big one, stop the people from coming inside the store 2 harrass customers 4 money, buying food stamps or trying 2 sell u something they stole somewhere else.
Have never been to this Walmart before today and I thank god that I never have to go back!!!!The woman with light brown braids working the express lane today 7/1/19 @ around 5:30 pm was the absolute rudest! She came to the shoes that we were wanting to purchase and was rude about them not having a sticker. I told her what I thought the price was, she got rude and said I’d still have to go get another pair for her to scan, not wanting to have to stand in line for any longer I told her to just take them off, to which she got snotty about, then I told her I know she could look them up or call a csm, she then proceeded to laugh the entire time. I don’t find her laziness or level of incompetency funny in the least and believe that her superiors should be looking into the people employed to “help” customers.
Pretty easy to shop here. Checkout lines seem long at first sometimes, but they actually move along pretty fast. Its easy to get home by Uber or Lyft. Parking lot is not over crowded and traffic moves along nicely. Produce department is on the small side, as are Electronics and Pets, but prices are great, as they are throughout the other departments. Good place to find seasonal items such as lawn chairs or tables during summer, fall sweaters, warm coats during winter, etc. The staff is pleasant and helpful, everyone seems happy to be working there. Shelves are very well kept in an orderly condition and the whole store is clean overall, including the parking lot. Customer Service will help you return or exchange items when you need to, just make sure to flag down a security guard to sticker your item before entering the store and heading to Customer Service on the left. Overall, a friendly, pleasant place to shop
I think this is walmart off mlk..this post DNT say which location but go to a few.. mlk too crowded.. things are misplaced and the cashiers seemed not trained.. but got through it...All walmarts hard to get a hold of customer service when calling just to verify if items are there...
I had the pleasure of meeting Mr. Mickey a Support Supervisor....He exhibited so much patience & a willingness to ensure that I was satisfied...with the product I purchased today..Im a senior citizen... Im not familiar with some of todays technology...He was working in someone elses place... However, I want to commend him for his service ...with such a pleasant personality!
I visit this Walmart at minimum twice a week. The store associates are very professional, extremely nice and unlike other Walmart theyre very helpful. I dont mind driving far to come to this Walmart because I know Im going to get better service. The only thing that I would recommend is have one or two more lines open because no matter what time of the day the lines are always a substantial amount and I have to wait well otherwise perfect experience
First time here in Atlanta and I get to the store and it’s only 10:20pm website says they close at 11 pm but I get out the car just for a bunch of workers joking around to say oh we closed at 10 the website wrong ! Well don’t you think you should fix that? Plus the area is trash ... spend your time else where
Called the department (electronics) before arriving no answer. Get there two people are complaining saying they had been waiting as well for more than 10 minutes.Look for a rep they tell us thats not their department. I dont have time for this. Its nice to have it in that area but staff has to change.I left & went to another store & purchased what I wanted
I mean...its Walmart. Be warned - Its a tiny super Walmart, so the selection is limited. The stars I give it are for its being a food oasis for this community. It filled a gap that was much needed and has remained busy and open for the past 4 years +. I live so close to it, I cant avoid it but there are times that I would rather drive out of my way than to deal with some of the stuff that goes down at this store. There is ALWAYS someone in the parking lot asking for food or money or both. Parking can get ridiculous if there is an event at one of the nearby universities. The lines are what Ive come to expect from all Walmart locations, but this one can just get insane. Especially at closing. They close at 10pm and remind of that starting at 9pm, but there is no get-up-and-go on the part of the employees to speed up the checkout. In fact they will close lanes during this time so avoid it at closing time if you can. They dont have any hand baskets, and very few of the small carts available, and since its tight in there you will probably find it a little challenging to maneuver your cart at times on a busy day.
This store is not a superstore, there is NO sewing section. Not even basic sewing kit. Large over sized carts and tiny aisles. Limited selection, shop online. The staff on the floor, stockers, fitting rooms and electronics are all nice and helpful. The cashiers and customer service/return associates are either overwhelmed or just rude and not helpful.Theres never more than 3 lanes open until it gets backed up.. so prepare to wait.
Worst Walmart in Atlanta. I only go here because I have to, but if you don’t have to then please save your time. They only ever have like two registers open and I once heard a cashier tell someone their remaining balance out loud....how rude, classless, and embarrassing.

2022-05-23We werent able to enter the store due to a fire that had supposedly been set in the womens clothing department by a customer. When we pulled into the parking lot, we saw a fire truck and a bunch of people standing around watching. Upon approaching the first employees we saw, we simply asked if the store was open for business. The woman who stepped up to answer, responded with an ugly attitude and refused to answer any questions. So we parked and waited a few minutes but that didnt offer any insight, so we asked someone else, who was standing closer to the entrance. He politely informed us that a customer had set fire to a rack of clothes in the store and everyone was evacuated.

2021-10-31It’s only 9pm and there are two registers open. I heard a customer ask a employee for help and the employee told her to look somewhere on a aisle and told her she wish she could do more but she was busy. I wish I would have went to target. Awful place to shop. Shelves are barely stocked. Almost empty.

2022-04-27Woooohooo...when I say this place reminds me of the jungle....boy aint nothing stocked...shelved. Went for basic items...nothing on the shelves....oh toilet tissue is on aisle 3....lol just kidding... inside reminds me of a worn torn 3rd world county...take your pick which one...lol!Neighbor is run down...quality is below satisfactory....but cashier was very friendly....go figure!
