Such a beautiful campground. This place was absolutely amazing. Everything that you could want in a campground is right here. Very relaxing, super clean, beautiful pool, hot tub, and a wonderful little lake. The pavilion where the office is is gorgeous and the hosts are such wonderful people. They work really hard keeping this place in tip top shape. Its beautiful here. Nicest campground Ive been to and Ive been to a lot!!
Cute RV park. The lake and stream are pretty and the gated grounds are nice. Its a good location - near Blue Ridge and Blairsville but not too close. There is a pool, a playground, and public fire pits/fireplaces The sites are a little too close together but meticulously maintained. It is in a rural location so you can smell the cows next door when the wind is right.
My site was a graveled site. Upon pulling in I noticed a large indentation in the gravel that looked like the previous siteholder had sunken in. I backed in avoiding that area. I have a ultra light 20 trailer so I wasnt too concerned until I too sunk in with the rear wheels of my truck. I was able to unhook and get my truck unstuck. When I went to the office to express my concern about getting my trailer out I was nicely informed that it was not the parks problem and that I was on my own to get my camper out..
We stayed in site 66 for almost 4 months. The park is well maintained, and the newer section is still under construction, pouring rock, concrete etc. There is a mix of gravel and concrete sites. These sites seem to be mostly individually owned so seems site rentals vary in cost. This is a gated community but the gate seemed to be broken more than it worked, which wasnt an issue for us. We were there during winter months so of course the pool was closed. They pick up trash at your site daily which was nice! On-site laundry is free; however, there is 1 washer and 1 dryer so get there early. Tank Town USA (google it) is very near by and and loud, but its not often and over pretty quickly, and never ran at night, didnt bother us, and were aware of it from a previous review. The bathroom and showers are very nice, new and cleaned often. Wifi works as well as any other campground. Cable worked great, lots of channels. No water issues, great pressure, and electric on our site was included. Dog park and plenty of spots to dispose of your doggies business with bags for pick up. Other than the construction noise, the park was quiet, safe and sites had a good amount of space between them. We would definitely stay again.
We have stayed at Waterside numerous times, but it has fallen short the last two visits. Since all sites are individually owned, be prepared not to have standard campsite amenities you would expect to have when staying at a “resort” such as a table, WiFi, cable, or fire ring. When booking you get pages and pages of campground rules, but no one is in charge. On one trip, our power hook up wasn’t working (we were told the owner of that site hadn’t paid their bill). A man that was cutting grass was left to deal with our lack of power but he didn’t work at the campground. The last visit for 4th of July, the same site didn’t have power again. We were told on this last visit that our site owner elected not to provide WiFi, the pool is tiny and most of the 8 chairs there were falling apart. When paying this amount, you would expect better. Our next trips to Blue Ridge will be spent at the KOA down the street.
I have read the other reviews and was somewhat skeptical prior to arriving, but the customer service was outstanding. The park is very nice with a mixture of mini homes and Rvs. I only gave a 3 star review for the following factors. We were in lot 163, a pull through gravel lot. The gravel was very soft and not settled and very hard to walk on. The leveling aspect was an issue as our unit settled several times during our stay. The lot is very narrow with very little space to hangout and enjoy. The sewer cleanout was very elevated and hard to keep your tanks flowing. The flies were incredible and too many to manage. The gate is secured but is difficult to maneuver when leaving. The vehicles have to go more to the left of the gate to activate the exit. The entry portion of the gate requires everyone to get out of their vehicles creating backups. The cost for this location did not align with the amenities and the size of the lot we rented. The map for the location is very deceiving. Again the customer service and that end of the business was great. This location is very close to downtown Blue Ridge and 20 miles from Ellijay.
Came here for a quick getaway with the hubs. The campground is super clean and quite with nice BIG spots. We stayed in spot 116 that has a hot tub, brick fireplace with another fire pit area down by the creek (nice to sit at in the early AM with a cup of coffee) that did not disappoint!! Well worth the money for this relaxing spot! We will be returning soon forsure!!
We were VERY excited to stay at Waterside, but were quickly disappointed with one of the WORST RV experiences of our life. The second night at the park, half of the park flooded due to crazy rain. Zero park staff was around to help during the chaos and we were up until 2 am reestablishing ourselves at higher ground. The next day the park staff relocated us to a worse site in which the sewer connection was higher than our rig. So basically we could not dump our rigs. The park did not offer us a refund for relocating to a worse site or for our troubles. My wife was attacked by fire ants during the flood and our rug, as well as our RV, was damaged. We were so fed up with the park that we decided to leave, however the park OWNER would not give us a refund since we were not giving a 30 day notice. They ended up charging us for 10 days we were not a the park.In my opinion there are WAY friendlier parks in the area that will treat you better and will charge you a better rate. Stay here at your own risk, literally.
My husband and I decided to come to Blue Ridge Mountains to celebrate his 50the birthday!!! Waterside at Blue Ridge offered the perfect accommodations for this trip!!! The grounds are beautiful and decorated for Christmas!! Great places to eat all around us!! The name of the Camper said it all “Solitude!!!” It was super clean and beautifully decorated! The bed was perfect! The kitchen was stocked with whatever we needed and the living area complete with an electric fireplace was our favorite spot!!! We are already planning our next trip back!!!
Beautiful park with spacious sites, particularly the ones that back up to the creek. Many if not all of the sites are owned by individuals who determine the amenitiesthey offer. Some sites are decked out with fire pits (saw one with a fireplace and outdoor living area with a working television), decks, concrete pads and WiFi. Others are bare bones. Our happened to be a gravel site with no fire pit (no problem, we travel with one), no cable and NO WIFI. The lack of wifi made working from there a challenge. The staff is friendly and helpful during business hours. You will NOT be able to reach anyone after hours, even though their paperwork and voicemail both give an after hours number to call and/or text if there’s an after hours issue. We arrived after hours and had a couple of significant issues and we never heard from anyone after 2 texts and 2 phone calls. This is a big deal and the main reason for 3 stars. Honestly I should rate them lower but the place is so nice. Just beware of the lack of after hours support should an emergency arise, as one did with us on the first night.
Was not pleased with our experience here. Not very good communication. On arrival, we arrived to find the place was not well maintained. Grass was tall and the gravel lots and gravel fire pits were over grown with weeds. The park is not well laid out as the hook ups are on the very back of the sites. It was difficult to navigate as well with lack of visible signage. When we arrived at our premium spot, the additional fireplace hot tub and covering was nice but the site needed a mow and there was an area in the back of the site that had an unused fire pit overgrown with railroad ties with rebar sticking 2 feet straight in the air. Definitely a safety issue. We were excited about the hot tub only to find it at 80 degrees. I’m their marketing they mentioned finer optic internet and had given me the wifi password in my arrival docs, but not. what network to connect to. I went through all that was showing and tried to connect and it didn’t work. As I was nosing around on the patio on the fireplace mantle I find a router that shows it goes to another site. It had instructions and was able to use it. We only saw 1 staff person at arrival who brought us paper work with a lot of particular rules, which I don’t mind, but when the park looks the way it does, I think they need to focus on some maintenance instead. We tried to reach out to show our displeasure with the management company and they never got back to us, we we cut the trip short and left early. Will not return. Be aware, this place is bait and switch.
We just returned from our first camping trip in our new RV. Waterside was a great location for us newbies that were in town visiting family. The lots in the new phase were easily accessible. They have full hookups, a great, clean clubhouse and beautiful premium creekside sites. The rangers were very kind, helpful and easy to locate if needed. I gave it only 3 stars because our site (#112) had two septic tank risers on the lot, next to the picnic table. The odor was horrible and we couldnt sit outside or cook outside. There is a firepit closer to the creek that we unfortunately didnt have time to use. As a new camper, I now know to ask where the septic tank clean outs are before reserving a site. We will probably stay there again next year but Ive noted which sites to overlook.
This place offered a convenient, easy-to-find location right of the paved main road. Everything we needed including low-cost, 10 minutes from Downtown Blue Ridge, Zip-Line, hiking, boating, mountain biking, and all kinds of fun. Sometimes we go to the mountains for seclusion and quiet, but when we go to the mountains for action, Waterside is the place. My wife and daughter love it because of the easy drive to town for shopping shopping, while my son and I hike and kayak. We then all meet for dinner at Waterside. Perfect!
We stayed at the park near the creek, and heavy rains turned the creek into a raging river that forced us to evacuate our site. If we didn’t leave the site, our RV would have been hit by numerous construction materials from a site up river, and the river could have potentially swept away the blocks and chalks under our RV. The management team was horrible to work with after this event. They were not empathetic whatsoever, and they never once apologized for the damages that occurred. They definitely care more about money than people.
Very nice campground with concrete roads and a variety of sites from gravel to concrete with picnic table shelters. Some of the sites are difficult to back into especially when people are parked close to the road or parked right alongside the road so you may have to ask someone to move their vehicle. Basic utilities all work well but the Wi-Fi is very slow due to limited bandwidth. Signal is good but bandwidth makes it unusable even when not many sites are occupied. Its unfortunate that the campground is located close to a sawmill that is fairly loud and operates from Monday through Friday from 6am until Midnight or 2am the next day. There is also Tank Town which is next door which occasionally you will hear a big caliber machine gun fire from on the weekend but it is short lived as it must be fairly expensive and you dont get many rounds to fire. They are in the process of adding more sites in the back which look like they will be very nice and appears they will more than double the current number of sites available.I would stay here again when in the area. There is a lot to see and do in the area if you like waterfalls and hiking.
Our family had a wonderful 4th of July 2020 at Waterside Blue Ridge! The children greatly enjoyed the pool and playground and the fireworks show was fantastic!!!! We all loved it!With this being a time of uncertainty and a lot of disarray, the staff and management of Waterside made the park very welcoming, very clean and very relaxing. We are also super excited to see the expansion of the park, as Waterside continues to strive to make this tiny home/rv park the best in the area!I highly recommend Waterside to families and retirees alike.Thank you! 🇺🇸
I got there on advertised land sale event, which promised a lot with tiny house for $69.900. Typical bait and switch sales tactic. They were selling gravel tiny lots only. In a past It was, may be, a cozy small RV park before, but with extra 170 lots pool and other facilities will be overwhelmed. No trees or grass. Very depressing. I left immediately. Small dirty pond moonlighting for lake. Approximately 6 miles to Blue Ridge Marina. Stay away!
Very clean and nice atmosphere. Everyone respectful. Like that Rangers actually manage onsite operations. Easy to find. During July 4th weekend, that had dog show and bike parade for kids as well as fireworks that night. They gave out beads and candy to kids as they signed up for the bike parade. So cool. No RV park we’ve been to had this kind of organized event.
We rented a tiny house here which was great. But Waterside your lot I was on was so muddy, hot tub was cool @ 97° and so over chlorinated that just checking it out made us cough and irritate our eyes. Pool was great temp, but could have had debris cleaned out sometime throughout the day. We were here for only a couple of nights each morning @ 8am -10ish the lawn guys were right outside our tiny house with a weed eater on the hill, or mowing. Upset me. Im on a vacation I dont want that.
Beautiful place family oriented, peaceful. The Tiny homes look Awesome would have loved to have seen the inside, the outside they look really neat. We would stay again an our daughter checked it out while we were there an they will be bringing there camper also to stay.
I can’t give a review of the property because I had an accident during the first week of my six week vacation that made it necessary for me to return home to see my orthopedic surgeon. Waterside was to be the second stop on my trip for a week and then I had three move RV parks booked for the remaining four weeks. Every RV Park I had booked returned my deposit or full payment with no problem except Waterside. Because I had to cancel three days before my arrival they only refunded half of my full payment for a weeks stay. I’m sorry but accidents and emergencies do not follow timelines. I’m happy to get half my money back but I think this is poor service and consideration should be given for circumstances beyond my control. When I do make the trip to Blue Ridge I will not book This Park.
Worst camping experience I’ve ever had. We’ve traveled around the USA and go camping at least once a month. We’re told no fireworks. We arrived July 1st to find out the camp ground is under construction after a 9 hr drive we just set up. I called the next AM to see why we weren’t told someone was suppose to call us back. Now on July 4th we have fireworks being shot at the RV. Called no one answer no one gets back. Approach the Park Ranger he tells us it’s July 4th so deal then threatens my 70 yr old cancer survivor husband. Then the management company calls says they did the fireworks and threatened us because of the altercation were the Park Ranger threatened my husband. I will never stay at this place again. Worse management I’ve ever seen. PLEASE AVOID THIS PARK.
There was several people riding their golf carts drunk and no lights and the middle of the night so you better watch out you could get ran over but there are some good owners in there too just beware and they do have issues with their lawn Care and holes in the lots that water collects in and it takes forever for it to drain and they have issues with flooding when it rains for a couple of days and they really need somebody to monitor the drinking and driving golf carts it is real dangerous

2021-11-28Very Clean rv/tiny homes resort. Nice concert sites with fire pits. New owners adding more concrete sites. Downside is weekenders are mixed with residents. First loop has internet, second loop doesn’t. I believe the owners are working on it. AT&T and Verizon had 1 to 2 bars, Has pool and hot tub (but hot tub was not hot, when we were there) some sites do have hot tubs, but looks like residents had some of those sites. Club house was done very nice. Very clean bathrooms and showers. Has a kitchen you can use and washer/dryer for free. They also have a wood burning pizza oven.

2021-08-17Nice little getaway. Had great showers and you have a washer/dryer/kitchen area. Lot 181 had a fire pit & wifi. Enjoyed the pool & hot tub. Friendly neighbors are always a plus.

2021-08-10We had a wonderful time 2nd year in a row staying in a tiny home at Blue Ridge. The kids love the layout and how they manage to fit everything you need in a little house. Lots of fun activities around all within 15-20min. We had a blast tubing. The site is very well kept and the site coordinates are so helpful with any of your requests. We will come again its a great get away.

2021-10-28This place is really beautiful. Really well maintained. People are real friendly here. There is a dog park, a playground for the kids, a swimming pool, and a hot tub..However, there are a few downsides as well.1) There is only 1(ONE) washer and dryer in the whole place.2) Sometimes you can hear machine guns from down the street. I believe its from tank Town USA.( Its out of their control. )3) Also sometimes there is a really bad smell from the livestock that someone have down the street. Maybe cows. And you can smell their waste in the whole campground. Its so bad that it almost makes me want to puke. (Also out of their control)

2021-11-07Let me start with what I love! The grounds are amazing. Very well kept! The games need a touch up they are falling apart but, we made do and played some ladder ball. My daughter loves to fish so she loved the stocked pond and actually caught a little brim. Now with what I was disappointed in. My opinion is if you are passing through and need a place to land for a night or two this place is great, but if you are looking for a weekend getaway I am not a fan. To me and my family it’s what we call back yard camping. There are no views of the mountains which was a definite bummer to me and unless you rent a hot tub/pavilion site you’re literally camping in your own back yard. I guess I was expecting more mountain scenery which is where my disappointment is coming from, but again a nice place to stay if you are passing through the area. Our neighbor who lives here in waterside couldn’t have been friendlier and blue jeans pizza was great and spending the afternoon in downtown blue ridge was cute. Just not a weekend vacation spot for my family. I guess if you’re looking for scenic Mountain View’s this wouldn’t be your spot, if you want clean and safe place to sleep this is your place.

2022-06-08Nice RV/Tiny House park. We stayed 4 nights. Pool looked nice and clean. Laundry was clean. I think the public hot tub is strange...but thats just me. Staff was nice with the exception of the person who checked us in. Definitely recommend.

2021-07-13Our family of five had a great stay at Waterside at Blue Ridge. We stayed in a tiny home. The kids thought it was so fun to sleep in the loft. We soaked up every sunny moment at the pool. We practically had the pool to ourselves on Monday and Tuesday. We spent a rainy afternoon at the Pavilion in Phase 2 playing ladderball. Great long weekend!

2021-10-31My husband and my brother and sister-in -law stayed at Waterside recently. It was the most beautiful campground I have ever stayed in. We rode through the entire place and it was impeccably kept. We would not hesitate to come back here. We camped and my brother and sister-in-law stayed in a tiny house. It wasbeautiful, fully furnished, and so very comfortable! Every aspect of our trip was perfect except the weather...it rained every day! The personnel were friendly and helpful, too!

2020-12-01Sites were nice and large. Loved the creek! If your in to more serious fishing or even want to just catch 1 fish the stocked pond is not the place for you. But if your there for the enjoyment of just sitting there for hours with your pole in the water not catching ANYTHING then go have fun and enjoy yourself🙂 other than that I loved it and would return most def. Great place for dogs!BTW the pictures are nothing how it looks...
