The staff at this facility are absolutely amazing. Despite the lack of personnel and funding. Mrs. Molly and Mr. Hunter took outstanding care of me. I even told Mr. Hunter, I wish they could be my primary care physician. I’ve been here since 7 o’clock and I feel like I’ve seen them work nonstop diligently to attend to each and every last one of the patients.
Brother ICU and I understand he was very sick. However, the nurse attending to him had to get hands on instructions to change out kidney machine that was malfunctioning and I asked about him being in same position from the day before they said oh the bed shifts..duh but he might be hurting. Change the position. When they suctioned mucus from lungs he sat up and legs went up. I know he was in pain or could feel it. Unfortunately my brother passed yesterday. I question the experience of the ICU team. God has him and I pray he was not in severe pain from the care. I saw it first hand and trust no one.
Please, if you are hurting do not come to this hospital. Staff is awful and especially the PAs They do not listen to you and will not treat your complaints. This hospital has no concern for the community in which it serves and lacks compassion. Please it is worth it to drive some where else..
Despite the long wait times, the staff was really nice to me. However, the front staff at the desk when the night shift starts is when the whole place becomes chaos. They seem to lack communication. They have the staffing but the head nurse doesn’t know how to distribute tasks throughout the groups of assistants, so it’s multiple people working on the same thing or same person. I was there for 4 1/2 hours due to the lack of communication and available beds because it seems like the head nurse refused to open the other side of the screening rooms. Overall, the nurses and doctors was very nice to me throughout the entire experience.
Bad hospital the African American woman who is in the front who check you in are very nice but those Caucasian woman in the back rude, unprofessional ,and racists she would not even see me or hear me out I ask for her full name to report her .....her colleagues tried to act like they did not know her name sad they wont help us CLOSE THAT MF DOWN
I came in here Tuesday and was seen immediately. I was admitted and they have been great. I came here because I wouldnt have made it to Grady, as I was having trouble breathing due to my high blood pressure and CHF. People say Grady is better. Here, I have never seen people on beds all thru the halls because there are no rooms in the ER.
I was pressured to remove my mom out of ICU. The reason was because they couldnt get a reading. Because of that she was denied rehab and outside dialysis. ICU was tired of boarding her so she was forced to hospice stage. My mom is in her Right mind and aware. She had surgery last Tuesday which is still healing they put a bag on her for the healing process. I felt the attending doctor was treating mom like a number not an actual human being. The day before she didnt receive dialysis in unit because they didnt feel she needed it. When they knew she depended on it. Ultimately its in Gods hands. But Im very disappointed. I have So much respect for the medical field 😔 But I really feel the Ball was dropped when it came to my Mom
On April 9 2021 my wife was rushed by ambulance to this hospital. We spent about 5 hours at this hospital. Most of the front desk staff was awful. They lost my wifes first draw of blood, put the incorrect ID bracelet around her arm and treated her poorly. I actually dont 100% blame the front office staff I blame management for inefficient and ineffective leadership. There was 1 bright spot during our brief stay there. The doctors and a couple of the nurses that were in the room @230 am, you all helped save my wifes life. This is a tip for those of you who work at the front desk area. Your actions and your attitude are actually hurting people. If you are doing it just for the money, then leave and let someone who actually cares fill your position
Came at 4am, wasn’t seen until 5:15am, it’s now 7:09am and I’m waiting for my bloodwork.I came in because I was in extreme pain. I sat and waited until my turn and then they flash my number and when I got to the front they said oh no that man was ahead of you.So unprofessional, the nurses were having conversations as if I was not sitting there doubled over in pain. The doctor came and asked a couple of questions and then went and got another patient from the waiting area, she then took him in MY WAITING BED AREA, threw my blankets on the floor and proceeded a check up.At this point I don’t know if there will ever be a time that I’ll come back here. Ever..
This place is definitely the worst hospital to go to. Extremely slow, they all just sitting around playing and joking around while there is a room full of patients and even more coming in. Ive been sitting here for hours and aint seen anyone get called back yet but i did see the nurses ordering food, possibly uber eats/door dash. They definitely be on their personal phones alot. This definitely a none caring, who cares type of environment. They purposely slow the service down and its ridiculous. This is the third nurse ive seen order food with all these patients sitting here. Jimmy j, subway and dominoes like really.
I asked them to send my prescription to the Kroger on Cleveland Ave twice the first time they put the wrong address they said they will change it and send it to highland I called them today it was not there it was still at highland I have no way to get there they lied and said it could still be picked up at Kroger now I have to figure out a way to go to east point to pick it up
My aunt passed today , another human passing to add along to the million that has passed at this so called hospital. The nurse here are not the typical nurses they’re just working to get to the next check. Growing up , care givers where heroes! God doesn’t like ugly though and I know my God will handle every single nurse , doctor and staff in the hospital the proper way just for the simple fact they do not have love in their heart. Rest In Peace Riri 😔💔
My husband had a cardiac emergency in January while at the airport. We live 8 hrs from Atlanta in another state. He did have to stay in ER overnight due to no rooms available, which is very understandable at this time, I cannot Thank the ER Dr, nurses, & staff enough for the excellent care he was given & keeping me updated on treatments, condition & results. I truly praise all healthcare workers for working during the biggest health crisis going on in the world right now. Thank you so so much
This hospital is by far the worst hospital in Atlanta. My girlfriend came in at 4pm and wasnt seen until almost 6pm and even when the doctor saw her it wasnt anything done to help her pain. They sent her back to the lobby to be discharged which was about 8:30-9:00pm here it is 1am and my girlfriend is still sitting in the lobby waiting to be discharged. I called the emergency desk to find out what was going on and why it was taking so long and the receptionist who answered the phone a girl by the name of Tenisha was very nonchalant and rude and she hung up in my face twice. If you can avoid going to this hospital please do by all means necessary
I came here for a mammogram. I was told that because I recently stopped nursing, I should return due to the risk of inconclusive results. I was told that I would receive a phone call the next day with a timeframe on when to return. After two days, I call Wellstar to inquire. I spoke to someone in Radiology who began speaking to someone else in her presence WHILE I was voicing my concern and question, then ABRUPTLY put me on hold. No explanation. No apology. No hold on, please whatsoever, and only to be forgotten about about while holding!! I eventually had to go to the clinic PERSONALLY just to receive answers because no one likes to return calls or answer phones at this place. As a woman, as a veteran, I am disappointed in this place in how WOMEN treat other women within their own community. Especially involving serious healthcare related concerns. Some of you need some serious sensitivity and customer service training!
I had a Pulmonology appointment in another building on the same campus of Wellstar. I was in the wrong building, winded from my condition and late for my scheduled appointment. Dorothy called the office which was across the parking lot, verified the info with the receptionist, walked me out the building with directions on how to get to the suite and back out to the parking lot. I dont know about Wellstar, the facility or their employees, but Dorothy gets 5 GOLD STARS from me. If you read this, thank you so much!!!
This is my experience in the ER at the Cleveland Ave. location.I don’t feel there is proper communication with all the staff. The doctor I spoke with was great, really listened to me and told me I had a concussion. She even made sure I got a CAT scan to make sure I had no bleeding in my brain. However, when I was discharged I was given papers saying I came in for eye pain which was inaccurate. Also, the summary explained what I should do for my eye, that I should see my primary care physician and that I can go back to work the next day. Due to continued migraines, the feeling of vertigo, inability to process my environment and conversations AND being sent home from work every other day, I scheduled an appointment with my primary care doctor. I was not only diagnosed with a concussion but I was and am still suffering from post concussive syndrome. I feel if there was proper communication with the staff and was given proper instructions on how to care for myself after a concussion my healing process would have been better. I will not only never return to this hospital but I would never recommend it to anyone. Coming to the ER meant I was truly concerned for my health and well-being. I should not have to worry or wonder if the staff that I am trusting with my life is properly communicating with each other to give me the care I deserve.
My dads been in there for multiple weeks was transfered there to be rehabbed and took off of oxygen. He very rarely sees a doctor they call is tell us one thing and tell him completely diff. Not sure what truth and lie was or if its all lies. He been told that he could come home twice now and they day of it somebody random will pop up and say that he cant in that nobody ever told him that. Even when it came from a doctor himself. They keep doing covid test and say the swab test is a very inaccurate test but they continue to give it to him 3 times so far. They say he needs be on oxygen when he leaves but when they take him off of oxygen hes breathing fine on his own. We get calls from them saying test results came back positive for things but when he talks to doctor there still waiting for the results and cant figure out who called. Machine was going crazy for 4 hours in middle of night before they try do anything. All the staff( may be some that was nice) but for the majority was rude and treated you like you was a burden to them being there. The doctor actually walked out and slammed the door on my dad because he was ticked off and he wouldnt give my dad a straight answer. List could go on and on and on. This is the worst hospital that Ive seen or even heard off. And Im from Douglas county and that saying somthing. Please if all possible go to a different hospital. I know not everybody there is horrible but a few number very little in number.
I just wanted to get some medicines that I needed because of a delayed flight. I literally thought I just stepped into the film set of star wars medical facility! But is easy to leave once you pay the required admissions fee. This hospital really is a joke! They use my blood samples after they drew my blood and they rolled around on the floor for an hour , because another employee came by to ask nurse a question, and they both walked out. I got my medicines after 4 hours and escaped with my life. The guy on the gurny in the next room was not so lucky I think. Dont get me wrong though, i did get my required medicines. And all of my results were eventually uploaded in the system. The doctor was great, and she immediately found my arm was infected. And started me on antibiotics.
The emergency staff was professional and very attentive. I was admitted to the 3rd floor. The nursing staff was excellent! Dr. Mann, Nurse Freddie, Nurse Babu, Nurse Jean, and the female nurse who treated me and discharged me were all wonderful. I received treatment, counseling and was well educated of my diagnosis. The respiratory therapist who walked me to determine my oxygen level (sorry don’t have her name) was wonderful! The technical nurses, who took my vitals were caring. Even the dinning teamdelivered the meals with smiles. I felt cared for and safe. Thank you to all!
Third shift front desk was VERY rude, none of the doctors took my medical emergency serious. I had a seizure and they told me I didn’t because I had memory of it and write it off as an anxiety attack. There are several types of epileptic seizures!!! The lack of education in the medical field will be the demise of us all.
This has been the best care I’ve ever experienced. Don’t be fooled by the negative reviews. This hospital may not have the aesthetics of the larger hospitals but the doctors, nurses, and assistants are great and give great care. This is the most attentive staff I’ve experienced. I hope they receive more funding.
The staff at the front are extremely disrespectful. Plus they have chairs sitting less then 3 feet from the main window allowing other patients to hear your Full name and SSN when the receptionist ask for it. This place charged me for tests I already had done at another hospital. For a test that takes 3-5 days to come back they told me when I got ready 30 mins after my wait and frustration on why I have to waste $$ to be tested again and I already have my results.
I would’ve loved to give NO STARS!!!! This hospital doesn’t deserve to even still be in business with the LACK OF CONSIDERATION for the people they have coming here! We are all living on a budget and can not get to the absolute best medical care possible but there is a standard ALL hospitals should follow and this one follows NONE!!!!! I have never seen an obvious in need person who is limping on one leg to walk herself out of the hospital!!!!! Where was the wheel chair???? I have NEVER been told to sit inside a hallway next to a very sick person because that was my daughters room for the night!!!! Then patients are yelling asking why there’s urine sitting next to medicine and the nurses are just giving out the medicine!? NOTHING was sterile in that hospital!!!!! This was by far the worst thing I have ever seen! My heart goes out to the people who walked in expecting to get help and were only giving fluids!!!!! They do not care for ANYONE! My daughter is only 2yrs old, a baby! And this hospital had no regard for her life WHAT SO EVER!!!!! I’m glad I went to another hospital elsewhere because this place is the lower than low of hospitals!I urge everyone who is in need of medical assistance and can not afford medical bills to not settle for this hospital! Please!
Been sitting in the ER since 8pm and now here it is 1:33am and we still haven’t made it to the back to see a DOCTOR! My husband came in because he couldn’t hardly breathe and sharp pains! He has been sitting in the lobby all this time. I will NEVER COME HERE AGAIN! I wouldn’t bring a dog to this nasty hospital PERIOD
I was admitted to the ER with chest pains. A person who assisted me at the airport, who seemed to be a nurse but I never got her name, was sure I was having a heart attack and helped me until the paramedics arrived. Once in the ER it seemed I waited for over 15 - 20 minutes after being brought in for someone to come see me. Once they did see me, things seemed to get better. I was admitted and put in the cardiac ward. No problems there. The next day they did an angiogram and found a blockage and needed to do an angioplasty to install a stent, but the doctor wasnt available. So, they moved me off of the table, with the catheter still in my leg, and back onto my bed. Waited like this for over four hours, meanwhile they treated a guy who came down from the ER with a heart attack and treated him. When they came to put me back on the table they moved me over and as they positioned me in place the IV Pump with the blood thinners fell over and hit my head causing a bleeding head wound. Cancel the procedure and put me now in the ICU so that they can take care of that. CAT scan done, extra day and a half in the ICU, did the angioplasty two days later. Now, the hospital is trying to bill me for the CAT scan, the ICU room, and all of the medication I needed to have because they dropped an IV pump on my head. If I had known I could choose which hospital to go to for the ER I would have gone someplace else. I will have to say that most of the nurses (MOST not all) were very good and the cardiologist who saw me was very good also. Everyone else, not so much. I wouldnt recommend this place to anyone.
My husband was brought directly by ambulance from the airport with a severe medical emergency. The Emerg Care Team was efficient, kind, and very thorough with my husbands needs. They answered his questions politely and knowledgeably. Dr. Akeem was very professional, caring and supportive. Nurse Angel was just that - an angel. She brought the first smile to my husbands face after his horrific experience. The entire Emergency Care Team on April 11th was just amazing. We will forever remember their kindness. Yes the hospital is a little bare bones and run down, but the Care Team does NOT reflect this at all. They are excellent. I was experiencing considerable dread as a foreigner bringing my husband into the hospital. But we were treated with true Southern Hospitality and kindness. One of the doctors even tried to help me locate my suitcases that I had forgotten in the taxi that I had followed the ambulance in! I hope AMC South recognizes how valuable their Health Care Team is and that this facility can be revivied to the standards they deserve to work in. Sending the Emergency Team much love and gratitude from Canada...
Only go here if you wish to die in the most literal way. Came in once with a terrible asthma attack, took over an hour to receive a breathing treatment even though my esophagus was closing and oxygen was being cut off for my brain. A nurse took me in for x-ray to see if I had pneumonia and tried to argue that I most likely didnt have asthma because Jesus... it was so bad that they wanted me to stay over night, I assume so they could finish the job and smother me with a pillow. On another occasion I was attacked by a dog and needed stitches, came in soaked in blood only to sit in the waiting area. From the time I was bitten to the time I was stitched up was 4 hours! The medical care isnt all that great, Ive never left feeling like I could trust them to save my life, I didnt even trust them to cut my stitches off (did it myself). The medical care isnt only bad and terrifying but the worst aspect of the visits is how rude the nurses can be, especially at the front desk. I havent been there in months but I wrote this review because I was having chest and side pains and even though this hospital is 1 mile from my house, Id rather chance it and fix it myself or if I fall out, get a ride to a serious medical center. Youve been warned
Was transported there after an accident and this is by far the worse treatment I have ever received in my life. I’m a 100% disabled veteran who obtain injuries in Iraq, Afghanistan, and Jordan (local care) not on base and I’ve received better care and treatment in those countries then I have at Atlanta Medical Center South. Either they just don’t care or they don’t listen and pass you along. Only thing they did do was bill me and waste my time. I feel the same as I did when they brought me there with no relief at all. What a joke.
Some of the staff is nice, but nice doesnt always solve your problem. Yes you will wait a long time. Yes, there is nothing urgent about this care. Yes, the service is equivalent to take a number. I went for shortness of breath. Was there for 4 ours. After their tests, which found nothing, they sent me home with robitussin and ibuprofen. Still couldnt breath, still didnt know why. Called 911. They took me back to this ER, after I told them I had been there already. I have been waiting another 2 hours, and hardly anyone is here. You want me to pay for this????
So this is my experience with FailStar not WellStar because people are really being failed there. I got there about 12 pm I went back in a room about 1 pmA doctor came in real nice and said they would run some test and figure out why I havent been able to eat in over 3 days losing 13 pounds in less than 5 days, not to mention the vomiting blood and chest pain. I never seen anyone else. I got a call from Ms.DD who hung upon me twice and that was at almost 5 pm. I realize no one was coming and I am just gonna have to go to Grady and pray for the best. Anything is better than FailStar at Cleveland Ave. If you want to live do yourself a favor GO SOMEWHERE ELSE PLEASE I wish I could give them a -0 thats what they deserve.
This hospital is only good for is commend colds and miner injuries. I came in with major stomach pains and one of the nurses forced me to walk(limped over clutching my mid area) halfway to my MRI scan, until I stopped and demanded that she find a wheel chair for me. After I ended up having my gallbladder removed and was placed on a liquid diet, the male cook lied to me about the broth soup saying it wasnt chicken, knowing Im a vegaterian. Theres are far more details about my bad experience than I can fit into this comment. The staff is very lazy and very nonchalant about the needs of the patients here. ...and the only reason why I gave the second star is because the nurses that was a different hue then I am, and nurse Pam were comforting to me in my situation.
I had bariatric surgery here! I have to admit some of these reviews concerned me, but did not stop me from going there. I am so glad I did because, I found a totally different experience. From the minute I walked in the door, all of the staff were friendly and treated me as they were genuinely interested in making everything right for me. My pain level was constantly monitored and I was actually able to relax and heal. Anytime I rang for a nurse, they responded immediately. The place was clean and I will definitely be here in the future if the need arises!
My wife has been here since 10:30am and its now 1:56pm. Her blood pressure is 170/100 and she has a very headache. It doesnt make any sense for the wait Time to be seen by a doctor to be this long. My wife could get worse just sitting here. This hospital needs a whole new staff asap. Im very disaappointed. We wont be back....poor service service.
Went in a month ago to get a prescrption renewed at this location as they couldnt fit me in when I needed to get in at my regular office. I left and not only was I not given the refill I nees but had another medication removed without my knowledge or explanation or even a phone call to the wellstar office I visit regularly. The staff is sloppy wearing hoodies and almost what looks like house clothes. Nurses are short and hardly give you time to explain anything before theyre out the door. I was given another medication for a new problem and when I got to the pharmacy was told its an over the counter medicine. Go here if you want to die have NONE of your symptoms taken seriously, pay for parking, and your important medications taken away from you by a doctor who spent less than 5 minutes talking to you. He should have his licensed revoked and this establishment should be closed. I pay $400 a month for healthcare out of pocket, I expect better. Ive gotten better care at free/low income clinics than this place.
My daughter went to this hospital after a car accident and the car of multiple staff members was horrible! First I dont know where your x-Ray Technologist went to school but after you take an AP x-ray of the hand and see that it is fractured in several places you DONT try to move the hand around just to get you images. That is why your tube can move! Whoever this Nurse or nurse aid in the ER named or called herself LA La needs to learn you move a patient fractured arm to put a case on or anything until after you give a patient the pain medicine! So dont get piss when a patient gets anger with you! If the hospital staff dont like or want their job just leave and let the 10 other people want to take it. Some people dont need is the health profession!!!!!
This place is HORRIBLE especially a lot of the staff many of them are very unprofessional!!! My Grandma was there 3 weeks when she went there via the ER she had been non responsive yet alert and she was able to walk with her walker, able to dress herself, eat and drink without ANY ASSISTANCE! After being there 4 days she was put in ICU due to difficulties with breathing stayed 2 days back to the 3rd floor. Week 2 she was preparing to come home when the doctor came in to tell her she found her struggling to breath, when was she checked on last???? So back to ICU but they still couldnt give us a reason why there was such a drastic change in demeanor and her ability to do for herself no answer. FINALLY they diagnosed her with a Urinary Tract Infection which is really bad on the Elderly, so they put on antibiotics and kept her in ICU a few more days. Now they suggest she goes to a rehab for therapy and my family agreed. Im not sure who the lady was but supposedly she started a search for a facility a week ago which was plenty enough time before the Labor Day Weekend, didnt hear back from her until yesterday to ask if there was a specific facility my mom gave the preferred rehab but they had not contacted her back so she picked place in Riverdale, Ga. The nurse came in and said the transportation would be there by 4;30 and she would come back to get her dressed she NEVER returned so my mom, sister and daughter had to struggle to dress her. She gets to the rehab and they tell my family that they dont have rails for her bed because they didnt know she NEEDED them and cant get them until tmrw, her room reeks of urine, dirty floor and a knife under the bed!!! WELLSTAR ATLANTA MEDICAL IS THE WORSE!!!! These things listed are ONLY a few of what took place during her stay!!!! Take your love one to GRADY before you allow them to go here!!!
I was so impressed and pleased with the service I received today at Atlanta south location. Everyone was pleasant and actually said good morning. There was a little wait since I didnt have my orders request from doctor. Once my orders was fax I was seen right away. Due to the delay I was given a voucher to have free lunch in the cafeteria. The radiologist explained everything to me as we want along and really took time out to make sure my labs would be right. Not to mention the food in the cafeteria was great. I visited this hospital about 10 years ago and I must say what a great change.
Hospital was beyond dirty. Sat in the hallway with an IV hanging on a coat rack also sharing the rack with a stranger. We were both in chairs. Now my father is there in a filthy room. Needing open heart surgery with nurse more sedated than him. I have been in the medical field for 6 years. This is by far shocking. Nurses were on facebook a majority of the time. Definitely needs to be reported!
11/16/2018 I arrived tuesday 11/13/2018 for heart related issues, my first 23hrs in obsersvation, I was in the O.R room, I stayed there until about 10:00am the next Morning, it would of been better if a room was available? During the night was challenging a bit noisy listening to the staff do their job! I was move to the ICU unit, which was accommodating with all the amenities, while there the staff was routine in taking my vitals. On 11/15/18 I was notice, that I was leaving ICU unit? To the third floor do to the fact my condition was not critical, which was all fine with me, this room was typical of a decent medical facilty, to the staff! I wanna give a special thanks to nurse CRAIG, with great people skills, and a Sign he cares about the patience and displayed what a professional nurse should Do! Also I would like to thank, Ms, Cynthia Starr! She was point on when drawing my blood! Along with her care and dedication of her job! She has a voice of an Angel, and her warm smile was the icing on the Cake that made my stay very pleasant, every medical estabishment will have some flaws, but to those who take their profession seriously like the ones I mention above, is what shows no matter where you go for medical services, GOD always has his angels in staff that make any shortcomings worth the Visit!
Came in for same day surgery and all I can say is, I appreciated the entire staff!! Very polite and great bedside manner. If anyone is reading this that works there, I appreciated you and your team for all that you done for me. (I tried to thank everyone I came in contact with because being nice and polite to hospital patients is almost unheard of in these times)
I don’t know who came up with the idea that it’s safe or makes sense to hand out numbers before you even know what is wrong with a person ... my biggest fear is someone dying while waiting for help because that are giving out numbers and didn’t even know wen to start over. The staff has no Regards to patient safety. I believe it’s because they are use to ppl just complaining there and not taking it further
Back in the day South Fulton used to be called the Meat Market. People would joke about the hospital practices and warned people to let it be the last resort. Today, its a lot of staff, but why? This is the most ghetto hospital ever, the staff, no protocol. My daughter is here for chest pains, she is high risk. She sitting in chair, and they an hour wait. I want to Emory for same thing, they were professional and worked as a team. Emory is amazing. Had I had a choice.....
Came here back in March after a minor car accident to get a check-up. Considering I had no real injuries, the wait wasnt too bad, only about an hour. Hospital staff was sweet, and all I was given was a prescription for pain meds. I didnt do any diagnostics or test. The visit lasted maybe 10 minutes tops. The bill came back to be a bit over $100. Bit much but doable. Was what I thought until got a separate physicians bill. Id been charged $500 for literally CHATTING with doctor Dr. Baljinder Mudahar. Will make sure I NEVER go back.
Came into the hospital around 11 am Forrest Armstrong, I had a full cast on my leg , I had broken my tib, and fib during the ice storm. Im fully aware of the many cases they have due to flu season OUTBREAK. so Im NOT demanding any special attention but being that Im 59 have a rod in my back per Dr. Orders I explained Im not to be sitting in an upright position for these many hours . They turned a deaf ear to that. Now Im fully ingulfed in pain due to swelling of my broken leg .running a temp at 99.9 X-ray the staff is fully aware Im in excruciating pain. They continue to tell me they have no wheel chairs with legs that extends or a stretcher in the hospital to accommodate me. So I had X-rays in the waiting room pretty much a room ajared to the waiting room. so when I complained about pain on 01/23/18 the fat black guy who was checking in patients asked does The pain hurts WORSE sitting in here or out amongs the other patients in the waiting room? smh how UNPROFESSIONAL is that? I really wanted to say take my broken fib, and tib and the full length cast and you tell me..now its 6 painful hours Ive been sitting in a chair leg propt up on a table in the waiting room back hurting very UNCOMFORTABLE and NO help. They claim they didnt have a stretcher anywhere available in the hospital. So are you saying when a person is discharged from your facility with a broken leg they have to hold it up themselves??🤔. The nurses bedside manners needs to be reevaluated. Before you guys be handling a LAWSUITE. but from what Ive whitness it doesnt matter its NOT you their money. Who cares? Seems to me their only there for a check. So why give a dam about the patients? I really and truly think your emergency staff should be briefed on how to handle emergencies in urgent times...and how to handle any situation in critical and stressful times. Poor bedside manners.👎
The worst hospital in AMERICA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! No seriously do not go here!!!! I sat here for an hour and there was one girl carried in unconscious... now I work in the medical field... Emergencies come first. This young lady was unconscious and being carried in by a man. The blonde at front desk looked at him and told him to put her in a wheel chair. When the girl came to she was screaming. The front desk receptionist came out and told her to calm down. They left this lady sitting in the wheelchair.... not only that the waiting room is disgusting. When we went to the car we noticed the security guard peeking into our car. We were trying to figure out what she was doing and asked if there was a problem. We are thinking that maybe we parked in a wrong spot or something but she said “I was just checking to see if you had any valuables they break in cars here” Listen unless you’re already dead or ready to die... don’t go here. This is a real review. I could say more but I digress.
Absolutely horrible! I waited 5 hours for my wife to be seen by someone. We saw several people walk in and were immediately seen by a doctor. They walked in with no visible wounds. We eventually left. We figured we would rather risk it than continue to sit and be dregraded. Also, we were not the only ones that left out of our frustration that night. Seriously, AVOID AVOID AVOID this place
The worst hospital in america I cant believe that facility is still active the doctors and nurses dont give a dam about people lives it should be call the practice beginners hospital these people killed my mother just like the 5 babies they killed a few years ago its sad I took my mom to the hospital Friday and she left out on a stretcher Sunday 9 ,2016 all because of not monitoring her the correct way improper procedures on her and lack of attention all I remember was the doctor saying if she survive the surgery then shes good my mom was fine after the surgery but was not fine after they sedated her and gave her multitude amounts of blood pressure medicine which I believe was the cause of death if u would have seen my mom after surgery and the after they sedated her for no apparent reason you would have thought they were animal doctors please I encourage all people who have loved ones please dont take your. Family members to this hospital I promise you youll regret that you did its a hospital for beginners
I refused a ct scan bc I have had 2 in the last month and I have another one coming up in two days, the doctor I guess called himself getting a attitude about it and said to me ( we can discharge you if you are going against medical advice.) Keep in mind I am only 22 years old and came in here for chest pain but there are other way to look for the things that are needed to be found. I did the blood work, the ecg but bc I don’t want the ct scan you gonna basically kick me out. Uhhh I don’t think that’s legal.
Atlanta Medical center has got to be one of the worst hospital I have ever seen. such bad staff. They dont check on you. Machine goes off. They dont come. Bed side manners are the worst when you do see someone. 5 hours and only 2 visits from a nurse. Dr. never showed up. Other people urine still sitting on the sink in the bathroom. Never picked up or dumped. Bathroom smell like an outside potty. Be aware. If you want life. Stay away from. This place. 🤤😲😤😈 too much to put on FB.
So, I came to this ER Monday 04/08/2019. I have chronic asthma and I am 23 weeks pregnant. The nurses where very rude while checking my vitals. I asked to use the bathroom behind the class because I was already behind the glass and told me to go down a long hallway! I’m in the hospital and I’m 5 months PREGNANT! Rude and there are majority African Americans who are in the ER waiting for hours to be seen.
If I could put a Zero I would. This place is not even worthy of 1 star. I was in a accident on 23rd. The staff and Dr Williams were very harsh with me and unprofessional. Dr Williams was the worst ER DOCTOR EVER. She got very short and irritated quickly. I told her. I was in serious pain and totally annoyed by the entire ER EXPERIENCE. They dont care about the patients here. Hope this facility gets all new staff and doctors. Train your people ATLANTA MEDICAL!!!!!
I swear to GOD I have NEVER sat in a waiting room and watched it clear out for over 5 hours. This has got to be the worst hospital ER I have ever come across. They pretty much want you to die in the waiting room before seeing you in the back. They have more security guards than nurse staff apparently and they kicked out a patient for recording the nurses sleeping....smh....why is this hospital even open.
I had a wonderful experience....going first into the ER was a little shaky...it was packed...but the ER doctor was attentive, knowledgeable, thorough, and personable. She admitted me, and to my dismay, or so I thought, an internist was my in house doctor and not my primary physician. He too, was as dedicated and thorough as the ER doctor. And my pulmonologist and cardiologist were excellent too, in fact I knew them both from working upstairs at an LTAC. All of my nurses and CNAs were really good. The transportation team was on time, polite, and personable. Ultimately, my experience was lifesaving and I am very grateful! There seems to be a stigma of the hospital being on Cleveland Ave., but THAT is sooo not important...remember Atlanta Medical on Boulevard, which is also a good hospital, was once Ga Baptist Hospital. It was considered one of the best hospitals in Atlanta with no regard to its location. And that is how it should be!
Absolute joke of a hospital. I would give them zero stars if that were allowed. Waited in the e.r. for xray results for over 4 hours. Ended up leaving without any results. Over the course of 3 hours only 2 patients were called to the back. The staff was rude and absolutely careless. WebMd is probably a better bet than wasting an entire day to not even receive results.
Terrible. After being rushed by the ambulance at 12 pm to Atlanta Med, I wait for 5 hrs in TERRIBLE pain.No one would answer my questions. They took away the wheel chair a nurse had given me.The woman Sonya in 2nd triage is horrible. No One Answers Questions. The restrooms were GROSS.SOMEONE peed in the baby holder.Worst experience. They (staff) treat everyone the same. I guess it being an urban area, they stereotype us all together.Very disappointed.Wellstar Douglas or Cobb from now on.How are you in a public service career , yet mistreat the public?John-Was absolutely fantastic (breathing treatment)Dr. Hung (female Dr. In RAC-wonderful)
I have spent some time in hospitals this year with my mom THE nurses were rude and acted like you were annoying them when you had too go and ask them to do their job it was not a good experience.yesterday I took my friend too Atlanta medical center and it was quite refreshing every single nurse I came in contact with seemed to go out of their way to help you and they were very polite and really seemed to care it was a wonderful change when I was ready to leave I ran into the security man and ask if he could help me find my truck I was a little turned around he was soooo nice he stuck his head in the office door and ask the girl if she could move up the time of his break I apologized for interrupting his break and he said no I need to get you to your truck he walked me all the way outside to my truck too make sure I was safe I ask his name he said it was Noble. I thought to myself perfect ending for this hospital experience.
Worst medical experience in my life. Went into the E.R. with a kidney stone. Waited for over an hour and a half with excruciating pain while they attended all the riffraff with mild and mundane issues (ie: no triage). When finally called to go to the back, it took another hour to see a doctor and get some pain relief. They couldnt even find a wheel chair to take me back for a CT scan. Was like being in a third world country. Never go here for serious injury or illness.
Increased balance on my account to $698 beyond agreed-upon rates after ER visit, then billed me $417 more for a time when I asked the front desk about a prescription refill, then refusing treatment when offered. I never saw a physician for the second visit, nor did I get my prescription refilled, so that $417 was for literally nothing.
I wish they had no stars as well! I’ve lost to many family members over the years at the same hospital! As soon as you walk in you can feel a bad vibe . Nothing has changed but the name! These are people lives and loved ones who we truly care about. Others just wanna receive a check and pass on to an new patient. To who ever reads this in Wellstar corporate this is an serious issue that should have been resolved other than changing the name of this hospital. I can’t stress enough how an hospital suppose to be but this hospital shouldn’t even be an hospital at all! And I’m writing all this while sitting in ICU with my grandmother now .
My wife stephanie went at 10:00 p m tonite to see a doctor. They put her on the fast track side after setting in the waiting room 1hrs&half. Her complaint were her right eye were burning &draining water . No one never gave anything to wash her eye out. Left 3hrs later due to doctor not attending to her at all. Doctor were on computer for hrs .
All I can say is shame on you! This facility needs to be shut down! Something was telling me to leave after I was done with the nurse by the window and it must be either my mother or angels whomever alerted me. When a nurse gave me an attitude and careless which made me nervous and scary so I didnt want to take a risk of staying here for treatment so I listened to whomever that warned me to leave so I left. Never ever going back to this creepy place!
Even with an InQuicker appointment, it took 30 minutes to get vitals checked despite noting chest pains, 45 minutes for registration & an EKG, 55 minutes for x-rays, 4 hours for a room, 4 1/2 hours to be seen by a licensed practitioner who was good, 4 hours & 45 minutes to get medicines & 5 hours to be discharged. I stop counting how many people left. One lady who arrived by ambulance with severe abdominal pains, was first placed into a chair in the waiting room, then put into a wheelchair & after about three hours later she was on the floor still crying out in pain but was not seen even by the time my disabled mother was called back to a room. I can honestly say, we wont return. This is not my first InQuicker appointment but first here & Ive never had an InQuicker visit like that. We wont return no matter how sick my family or I am. Consider yourself warned: Enter at your own risk! Ill take my chances with the extra 15/30 minutes to go somewhere else!
I went here 6/11/19 cause Ive been having back and cheat pain since Saturday. Ive also told her that its starting to hurt when I laugh, cough or lift things. I cant even pick up my 1 year old and that alone lets you know something is wrong. The lady at registration only put down chest pain after I told her specifically what was hurting. They dont really speak much at all which left me confused as to what was going on. They took xrays in which she told me itll take 45 to 1hr for results. But they came and got me before 45 mins to 1hr which left me to believe they didnt even check them. I only seen the nurses and never once did I see a actual dr. They gave me a shot and sent me out the door with no answers. I shouldve just went to Atlanta Medical on boulevard like my mother said. At least I wouldve seen a dr and wouldve got some answers. I got a prescription in which Im afraid to get filled cause it could be the wrong thing. Dont ever go to the Atlanta Medical on Cleveland Avenue cause they will only tell you a BS lie and have you feeling like youre crazy. Go to Grady or the Atlanta Medical on boulevard. Forgot to mention that Im still in pain and the same areas that Ive mentioned. Smh🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️🤦🏽♀️😡😡😡
Read a social media post about this facility that was very disturbing! Middle age man came to the facility for medical treatment and inadvertently tripped over an unoccupied wheelchair. Even though the man made several follow up visits with ailments nothing was done. The man died a couple months later. We rely on medical facilities to give us excellent care and be diligent. I ask... did this facility take precautions and then did they go above and beyond for the patient or did they drop the ball
This is the worst hospital in ga , Grady Has Them Beat You Are Better Off Going To A Walk In Clinic Been Here Going On Two Hours And Haven’t Gotten Seen Yet. The Staff Is Ridiculous Rude except check in lady. I asked one staff/nurse can she check how far I was she rolled her eyes and said yea I’ll check for you but didn’t even ask my name (so how can you check ) this will be my last time at this facility I can’t even call it a hospital that’s just how bad they are they changed the name but I guess the kept the same rude staff I wouldn’t recommend nobody to come here if you can go elsewhere please do or you will be dead before you get seen or cared for
This is the worst hospital to come to. The staff is nonchalant and angry. My husband call for pain medication, and the nurse came in an hour later. They dont take care of you. The rooms are nasty, you can tell that the restroom in the patient rooms are half mop. The furniture is old and broken. I wont never allow the ambulance to tell me this is where they have to take him anymore. The worst hospital in the world.
I went in because I am having a asthma attack.. not as severe as it was when I first arrived. They watched me cough up my lungs, run back and forth to the little trash by the vending machine. It was embarrassing and I really needed a treatment, as the ones I had gave myself werent breaking the wheezing. Finally I ran out. I really needed a treatment or something to hold me over. I end up having to rush home. After my treatment and a nap, as some know can make you a little woozy afterwards. I woke up not so well again so I decided to try my luck on going back to get seen. Four hours later I am again, leaving in pain. The same way I arrived. I havent had anything to eat today, as my body has been to weak to do so. I was told 12 ppl were ahead of me and when asked again, I was then told another 12 were in front of me. I have been sitting with back pain, chest pain, coughing up mucus and short of breath just to be let down twice. If they cant help me, no one can at this point smh. Rather be home in bed suffering with love ones whom at least care, and I guess so does the other two ppl with chest pain. They as well gave up and left!
This hospital needs to be shutdown. The hospital waiting room seats are black with filth. This place lost power twice before even being seen by the triage nurse. There was no air conditioning, And patient’s were seated in the lobby with IVs attached to them. I have never in my life seen such a thing. East Point campus is a death trap and not sanitary.
The hospital needs a lot of work and cleaning but the dr that seen me was very humble, he looked me in the eyes when he spoke to me and shook my hand to introduce himself when he entered the room. He treated me with respect and that meant a lot. I dont remember his name but he was caucasian and wore his hair in a short ponytail. Thank you
Horrific. My Mother suffered an Allergic Reaction from being FATALLY Precribed incorrect Antibiotics vs Z-Pack for early Stage of Pnuemionia. She was taken to Wellstar Atlanta Medical South on Diversion of Piedmont Fayetteville on 01/07/2016 thru 03/28/2016. But the desired plan was to get her transferred as soon as she was stable. NOT SO, what I thought as Moms Durable Power of Attorney and Patients Bill of Rights was Powerless against Systemic Strongholds of Medical Entrapment - False Imprisonment, Predators vs Medical Providers, Uninformed Consent vs Informed Consents, Egreious Medical Care vs Standard Plan of Care, Python PCP vs Acknowledge PCP Hospitalist. Basically it was a House of Medical Horrors, Medical Tortured, Iatrogenics Induced Malpractices Injuries/Harms misrepresented as New FATAL Diseases, Illnesses, and Life Threatening Infections that were CONCEALED. My Defenceless and Vulnerable Late Mother against a Pack of Medical Predators that premeditated agenda was to Exploited and Abused for RICO Racketeering Medical Violences, Corruptions, and Cover Ups by Risk Management. Not to dismis the CMO knowledge to allow Assault and Battery Greivous Bodily Injuries to go on under his Watch in 2016; but who has Retired as of 2017. Please KNOW the Diagnosis at Admission was CONCEALED from me. Her DPOA was ommited from her Medical Records, CMSS Important Message of Patients Bill of Rights was not provided until 01/28/2016.That date was after an Abrupt UNSAFE/FATAL Discharge on 01/25/2016 to return back home ORDERED by Predators Dr. Willie Landrum. He disregarded my concerns and Concealed resent Labs and X-Ray Results taken days before on 01/22/16. He and other Culprits Predators conspired to keep me in the dark to THEIR Unwarranted prescribed Excessive IV Fluids Overloaded to INDUCED Edema, Congested Heart Failure, Heart Failure, Pulmonary Respriatory Failure, Kidney Failure and imminent Death-Murdered....etc. Instead, he took steps to get her an Immediate Unsafe Discharge by downgrade Mom from ICU to PCU; nor did he have other Providers to Sign Off Safe Clearance Discharge. Dr. Landrum like other Providers just continued to LIE to me about Moms Conditions as they Exploited her for Bilateral Thievery and Kickbacks. But I REFUSED to Conscent, because I could see Mom presented signs and symptoms of New Episodes Lethargic Hypoxia from Carbon Dioxide build up in her Lungs. FYI This was one of four times this occured at WSAMCS. Throughout 25th Dr. Landrum, Discharge Case Manager, Dr. Bankolie, Dr. Mann, Charge Nurse, Respiratory Tech Ted, Educational Heart Failure Nurse and Attending Nurse ALL LIED to me that it was SAFE and Bullied me to take Mom home. Mom CODED BLUE the next morning @10:30am. I later was informed Mom suffered Iatrogenics Causations Sever- Physicians/Drugged Induced Hypoxia that RESULTED in Sever Encephalopathy Brain Damages. Fabricated Diagnosises was TREATED COPD, Lung Cancer,
This hospital doesnt even deserve a 1 star.. As soon as i got called back and started talking to a nurse another nurse comes in and says to not talk so loud... Anyways the doctor comes in doesnt really look at me nothing bout the infection i had in my ear and sends me out the door and also gave me false information telling me im not pregnant and that theirs came out negative so right when i leave the hospital i go buy another home pregnancy test for the 2nd time saying that i am pregnant when i asked the doctor to take my blood for a pregnancy test they refused. I was in the hospital for a total of 45 mins they just wanted u out the door so that they could see someone else. I wouldnt even trust the scale let alone the doctor
The only reason I didnt give this hospital zero stars is because of 3 People. Ms. Yolanda the social worker, Ms. Catianna the PCA, and Ms. Michelle the Nurse who really took care of my mother during her stay here at Atlanta Medical Center South. Those 3 individuals took the time to make sure my mom was comfortable and taken care of. Housekeeping did a good job with keeping the room clean also. Thanks again to Ms. Yolanda, Ms. Catianna, Ms. Michelle and a special shout out to Doctor F. Osinubi.
These is a very bad hospital with horrible treatment from their medical staff to their pts just aweful nothing good to say about these rat hole of a hospital a cess pool of rude and un careing medical staff towards their pts the CEO should feel some type of way but probably not you see how the hospital is run countless of bad reviews and still the medical staff is worse than ever towards their pts and the worst part about it they get to mistreat people rude and mean and surly and the hospital is nasty where is house keeping at the bath rooms is nasty the toilet is nasty the floor smells like old urine and what is this?? viruses and germs all over the place seats need to be wipe down .
The doctor did not sign my prescription. I returned the next day to have it corrected only for the dayshift to take my prescriptions from me stating they had to wait for the dr that wrote them to sign them and i could come back Monday morning to pick them up. But when I called the hospital at 11:30 pm to ensure he had them and would sign them so I could come get them, I was informed that I was lying and that the dr would not rewrite the script nor did anyone take it from me. This has been my go to hospital anytime I need the er but I believe I will find another place to go.
Walked in and was told to fill out the paper...what paper? After finding the paper on my own, I was told to just put it on the computer when I finish....REALLY!?!?!? Sitting in the waiting room for 4 hours with my son, who has a dislocated shoulder and is telling the nurses he cant feel anything on the left side and his body temperature has dropped significantly. I will be speaking with an attorney.
They are seriously the worst hospital ever had people waiting that medical assistance immediately. A woman had internal bleeding and waited 6 hours i believe it because she was there before me and i was only there because i had a stomach bug and was waiting 3.5 hours before deciding to leave they need to be shut down. Doctors would walk through right past people throwing up their guts just horrible
This place was awful...nite nurse drug me to make sure she did not have to work, CN leaving me in my mess for a whole shift. My Dr coming in to clean me up on one of her visits. The staff was awful not all almost all, when you complained it got worse, they are only their to collect a paycheck. Not there for the people, once they took the tube out my mouth the got mouth from me, then they sent me too another location.....again AWFUL.
The emergency room and hospital staff are courteous, attentive and nice. Everyone there was wonderful. Hospital is clean and neat. I have come to this hospital twice. Once for my son and once for myself. There was hardly any wait time. This will be my go to hospital.
All medical needs are in one location. All types of doctors and a hospital in one stop. Someone in the hospital while youre at the doctor? Park in the garage, go to your doctor appointment, then go see your love one in the hospital, all in one stop. Need xrays? Walk on over to radiology. Its all there for you in one stop.
I was in the ICU for several days. I received excellent care from the nursing staff. All departments food service, custodial etc treated me with care and a positive attitude. My family and I were impressed. We are from the mid-Atlantic region and I couldnt ask for better care.
September 11, 2015 | Let me begin by saying, to the families who lost someone during the 9/11 attack, blessings to you and your family. This day is a annual reminder of a horrific attack and I hope that the people effected by this attack one day find peace and closure. For me, 9/11 is a little different. Today represent 3 years of my biological father passing that I still have mixed feelings about. The reason I have mixed feelings is because part of me believes that my father would still be alive if he was treated like a human being instead of less than. For the last 3 years, being my father’s only dependent, I’ve been representing him in a lawsuit versus Atlanta Medical Center (@atlantamedicalcenter ). My father tripped & fell in their facility over a misplaced wheelchair and suffered what he thought was a minor injury. My father returned to Atlanta Medical Center multiple times over the next few weeks complaining about different ailments he felt throughout his body post the fall. Head trauma. Thought he felt liquid inside his leg. Atlanta Medical Center simply prescribed over the counter pain meds & sent him on his way. Nearly 60 days exactly after the fall in Atlanta Medical Center, I get a call from my Aunt Nina telling me my father has passed. September 11, 2015. Since I’ve learned what exactly happened over the past 3 years, part of me wanted to publicly go at Atlanta Medical Center. I was even offered $500 to never speak of it publicly. My deceased father is only a $500 expense to you all? Keep the money. I chose to let the Holman name be the first thing you see & one day it’ll be so big you can’t ignore it. Mrs. Holman will be the first million dollar female sales rep for @powerhrg in Atlanta’s history. You know my daughter is a star in the making, and you see how I’m coming. My father and I weren’t perfect, but his value to the Holman side far exceed $500 and he will forever be missed. All he wanted was Atlanta Medical to help with the pain. Instead, it began a snowball effect that caused much more. September 11th. Never Forget 🇺🇸 & 🏀.#atlanta#atlantamedicalcenter#september#911#911memorial#justice#georgia
I have the same tests within 20hrs done at 2 different hospitals and this hospital was charging $6,000 more than the other for a single test, at the end all added up to over $20k more for the same care/test. if you care to know I was here for an ER visit, then 3hrs later went to Emory to get a second opinion thus the same test/care. At Emory the Doctors kept me there for 2 days for observation, and even then my total bill at Emory was $20k less that the 3hrs at this hospital.... if you have an ER emergency steer clear from this place . #WellStar #WellStarsucks
My father passed away in the hospital due to stomach cancer, when he was in the ICU, nurses didnt care about him, he couldnt move or talk, his glasses were hurting him and he kept waking up all night because of a devastating pain, nurses did not check on him unless they were asked to check on him, they did not increase the painkilling dose for him until we asked them to and were no even sure of what painkiller was safer to use in his situation. My GF was monitoring him and doing everything for him because i was not granted a US visaI DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE
They need to shut this place down and hire new staff. The nurse staff in ICU sucks!!! One nurse was on Facebook and Im standing there at the desk trying to find out the conditions of my father. He also was left in urine and bowel movement on him for over three hours, then have the nerve to have a non chalont attitude!!! This hospital sucks!!!!
This was the worst facility Ive ever been in. Its filthy. I was brought here in an ambulance and taken to the front area of the ER. Ive walked out! Theres trash everywhere. Im Going to piedmont or anywhere else. Im scared Ill leave with more than what I came here for. If you dont care about where you treat me how can you care about how you treat me. DONT GET TREATED HERE IF YOU CAN HELP IT! Ill post pics when I get where Im going. Ridiculous.
Beware of double billing! My daughter had a head injury/concussion and was attended to by a nurse practitioner instead of a physician (really?!). Then came the billing - WellStar is in-network, but the attending nurse practitioner is not a WellStar employee and, furthermore, out of network. As a consequence, she has been billed by two different entities for what shouldve been a single co-pay. When one walks into an in-network emergency facility, there is a clear expectation that the attending medical professionals are in-network/employees. With a concussion she shouldve thought to ask if the attending medical professional were not WellStar?!! Baloney, and shame on you WellStar
Unprofessional, “understaffed” unsanitary! Staff members are unprofessional, and rude. It seems that no one understands their jobs. They would much weather keep admitted patients in temporary rooms (which are not in sanitary condotion) and leave them in pain. I would not recommend this “facility” to anyone!
If I could give a zero, I would. Beyond slow service, never a physician but a physicians assistant who writes Rx as if one is a child. 250 dollars and 12 hours later, Im still in acute pain. The hospital answer? Go see your PCP at 215am or come back to the hospital and pay another 250 bucks. Unacceptable. Oh and dont forget if you try to call to have someone who gives a care, gee, like a nurse, look at your chart/notes...you have to wait on a dead hold for 10 minutes, hangup and call back in because they simply want you to give up holding on. AMC Wellstar, whatever they are now, simply dont give a crap about east point community residents. And that very well may be both problem and solution.
The WORST! Went up there for an ear ache, some kinda crust coming out of it and not being able to head. These folks (the DOCTOR) told me that I had a cold (I would KNOW if I had one) and that all my symptoms are coming from me using ONE tip! They should just hire me, it seems like anybody can work there smh
This Hospital is HORRIBLE!!! It’s isnow almost 10:30pm and I have been waiting in this waiting room for the past 2 hours! My boyfriend has an OPEN WOUND on his hand and all that they’ve done is taken his vitals! This hospital is gross and nasty. Trash everywhere and bathrooms are NOT CLEAN! If you can PLEASE AVOID THIS HOSPITAL!!!!!!
HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!! HORRIBLE!!!BLACK WOMEN, DO NOT COME HERE.BLACK WOMEN, DO NOT COME HERE.I REPEAT, FOR THE SAKE OF YOUR LIFE, DO NOT COME HERE!!!! THEY DO NOT CARE ABOUT US AT ALL. TO MAKE IT WORSE, HALF OF THEM ARE BLACK WOMEN THEMSELVES. THE WORLD HAS DONE A NUMBER ON US, SO SAD.DO NOT COME HERE!!!!!
I only gave it one star because of Don in ER. I live in Broward Fl. I called at least eight times to be told my grandson wasnt there. At one point I felt like I was in the twilight zone. Im asking questions & some of the staff were responding very unprofessional. Finally reached Don, who informed me that my grandson is in stable condition. Geesh!!!
Worst hospital ever got there at 6:45am and finally at 11am almost 12 called me to check me and the hospital werent busy at all only it was me and 3 people waiting to be called. Anyways horrible horrible hospital dont recommend . I learn my lesson . Northside hospital it will always be the hospital ill go to.
This is the worst hospital I have ever been to. Please stay away from this place a nurse slapped a patient while I was there and also there was a fight there they locked the hospital down I cried from the pain and they just discharged me without looking at the affected area. I wish there was a 0 star option so disappointed in the service. They should shut this place down.
I would like to take time to Commend,Ms.Selena Smith and Ms.Darlene Mims for Excellent Service in resolving a issue I was having, with time and patience it was resolved, and I would like to take this time to Thank You both,on most jobs people juggle many tasks and wear many hats to give Excellent Service. These woman both worked as a team, between paperwork, phone calls, missed calls and all the other tasks,Mission was Accomplished and I an Forever Grateful,Hats off to You Both,Sincerely,Mrs.Vanessa Hill
WHATEVER YOU DO DONT GO HERE!!!! THE STAFF IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL AND THEY RUSH AS IF THE PATIENT IS A BOTHER. I WENT IN AT 3am, ONLY TWO PEOPLE AHEAD OF ME...I AM WALKING OUT WITHOUT SEEING A DR BECAUSE IT IS NOW 7:40am...THE PEOPLE WHO WAS AHEAD OF ME STILL HAVENT BEEN SEEN. THEY TOLD US the doctors are switching shifts FOR 4hrs??? IM FROM NY AND BEEN TO SOME BAD HOSPITALS BUT THIS ONE TAKES THE CAKE 🎂 !!!!!!!!!!!! I HATE TO USE THE G WORD BUT GHETTOOO IS WHAT THAT HOSPITAL WAS. JUST THINK OF THAT HOSPITAL SCENE OUT OF THAT SPOOF MOVIE Dont be a menace WITH THE WAYANS BROTHERS; YEP THAT BAD!!

I hate coming here now.. Its how the old Grady use to be.. I raither go back to Grady than stay here.. The doctors are calling the patients when it suppose to be the nurses job.. Aweful place. They had me waiting 3 hours just to get registered only to send me back out to the waiting room. and then when i questioned why it was taking so long they just nonchalantly acted like it was normal. And i have been to this place many times before whenni was southside and was never treated like this. I will never come here again.
Been here since 12:00A.m it’s now 5:10They don’t keep you informedA lot of talking and non work related conversations between the coworkersThe intake team needs to be revisedFor the well being of this establishmentOr more people should speak up so that they can close it down or make the proper changes
This is the worst medical facility i have ever seen and im an emt so i have seen it all but this one is something i regret ever stepping foot in. They have let 20 people die in one day and over 100,000 people die a year in this hospital, not because the patients are sick but because they let them sit in their bed to rot and die.
Horrible place went and got tested two weeks ago they’ll throw the bill at you first with no results ! And their representatives are rude ! They need real employees! Heck hire me ! I’ll make it a better place to serve customers with great service ! Because y’all not doing it !!!
Terrible hospital in my life I had PA in fast track for a lupus flare and the lady was so rude to me talked to me like I wasn’t anything and when she walked away from me she was mumbling under her breath Then she tried to give me some medicine I was allergic to saying well this all I have I asked for a different PA or MD she told me I couldn’t choose I was stuck with her All the other doctors denied my request for a new doctor saying they didn’t want to go over her head 🤯😢
My mother Joyce Hart passed away on August 08,2012 at the Regency of South Fulton.I have waited for months to voice my opinion because I wanted to wait and make sure I felt the same as I did that day.The Regency was not equipped to handle my mothers medical &rehab needs and now I wished we had moved her and that was our decision and mistake but I will not let any family member or friend go there wihout voicing my opinion. There is a nurse on the AM shift, his name is Dan but I have another name for him,he was the rudest and most inconsiderate human I have ever met.He took precious time away from us knowing that my mom was dying because of his attitude and I will not be able to forget what happen.I hope his family does not have to go through this but if I ever saw this man on the streets,I would slap him and go to jail for actions with pride. My name is April Hart of Union City Ga
DO NOT GO THERE !! I repeat, DO NOT GO THERE ! Go to Grady Memorial- it’s not too far from this place. I would give it negative starts if I could. This place is DISGUSTING, all sorts of garbage on the floor . The care is horrible, horrible, horrible. Heck there is no care. Stay Away
Im sitting here in radiology my childs dr requested he get a MRI stat we have been waiting over 2 hours, while the front desk person apologized for the inconvenience this makes absolutely no sense at all, my child has to go back to school i have to go back to work, the doctor thought it would be better to go through admissions, this reminds me of South Fulton Hospital ugh
They are so unorganized and slow and when you first get there to check in you have to sit at the window and she ask whats brings you in and its like everyone can here the conversation and she expected for me to say my social security number out loud...poor service!!!

2022-05-16I was not feeling good this morning so I decided to go to the nearest emergency room or hospital that close to my house. To my surprise just last week the hospital had made changes to be a 24 hour urgent care. Warning the customer service rep will have an attitude. She could have been nurse but being so unprofessional I could not tell what she was. Yes this hospital have parking, if u have emergency call before you go.

2022-01-01My husband & I were in a car accident. Thankfully we didn’t have major injuries but came here to be checked out. When you arrive, you’re not even greeted, there’s a sign directing patients to take a number & wait for it to be called. What?!?!?! No one took our names, asked our symptoms or did any intake v whatsoever. Our number was “30” and they were only on 14. We sat in the waiting room for 5 hours & then someone came out and asked “who all still has numbers?” & a bunch of us raised our hands at which she rolled off a bunch of numbers until ours was called. Once my husband was seen he was told there were no nurses on staff!!! This is the worst “care” I’ve ever seen in my life. Do NOT come here if you have a serious emergency!!!

2022-04-12Yes,Stephanie was my nurse and she went above and beyond to make me feel very comfortable. She provided Excellent services from the time she called me until the time I left the facility she was by my side treating me with so much care that I almost cried.Rod was a great nurse as well- he put my needle in my arm and also made sure I made it safely to my transportation car.Robert was hilarious and made feel comfortable. The lady that work with Robert was so sweet she kept giving me warm blankets to make sure I was warm and comfortable I don’t remember her name but Robert and her pushed me to the surgery area and kept me comfortable. The Anethesia Guys a white male with all black on and black male with white and blue both were very nice the white male with the all black definitely accommodate me when I couldn’t hear him.. he talked loud slow and clear when telling me about the anesthesia procedure. Both of them was awesome! The lady/nurse that took care of me when I woke up -black lady with black hat on black nurse outfit. She was so beautiful and kind. I mean she cared for me and smiled the entire time she even brought my hearing aid box to me with a big huge smile. I was so happy during my time there. They all deserve an award for outstanding services especially toward an African American woman with severe hearing impairment.Nurse Stephanie is a beautiful soul the sweetest nurse I ever met in my life. Please share my review with every last one of them. They all did an excellent job caring for me. I mean every last one was EXCELLENT! They all need to be cloned especially Nurse Stephanie. I felt like I had my mother with me that how awesome nurse Stephanie is.Dr. Orjioke did a great job on my surgery I didn’t have no problems after I left.Thank you Wellstar for an outstanding TEAM!

2021-12-22You are better off going downtown to Grady Hospital Emergency room than here. The staff are unorganized, they take forever to send your information over to the doctor to be seen. If you have any serious problems DO NOT COME HERE. This hospital gives the worst services in all of the state of Georgia even down to the simplest procedures. Do better we’ll star before a person die right in your lobby waiting on your staff to do their jobs. You will literally wait 5 hours before they see you then take another 5 to discharge you.

2022-02-01Service is terrible, the wait is long even when there is no people in the waiting area, I was extremely disappointed with the emergency room response to my pain level. the staff and nurses was totally rude. i will never go back to this hospital and i would not recommend this hospital, And not to mention they give me my diagnoses in the same room as someone who tested positive for COVID-19. DO NOT COME TO THIS HOSPITAL

2021-11-07Worst Emergency hospital ever. It should be shut down. They literally do them minimum to check patients out. Give diagnosis while every patient is sitting in the same room. Took my dad there after a wreck. Went back in forth with the head nurse and doctor because she refused to give him and X-ray on his swollen wrist. She told me I have to high of a standard because it’s my dad. Fast forward few weeks later went to her X-rays and his wrist was surely broken.

2021-12-13I was taken from my Drs office by wheelchair to be admitted for AFib on an emergency basis. I didnt wait very long in the waiting room to be admitted, but had to lie on an uncomfortable gurney for about 21 hours for a bed with harsh lighting & a nurse who checked my BP had it wrapped so tight on my arm that it hurt & swelled up really bad. They also abruptly stopped some pain meds I had been taking for 15 years and my heart rate increased due to withdrawal syndrome. I had to beg for my other regular meds and they were always hours later than I had always taken. The ladies that cleaned? the room only pushed a damp mop around the center of the room and the corners were left dirty & dingy with what appeared to be tar, and dead bugs that had been waxed over for years! There was too many undesirable issues to mention here. But its not the best kept, or well organized hospital for anyone to recover from heart problems or any other medical problem. I suggest that you go to another hospital if you possibly can. And I pray that they resolve these unhealthy issues soon.

2021-12-04Wellstar SELECT Atlanta Medical L-tach Center provides exceptional patient care! It is a facility that specialize in the treatment of patients with serious medical conditions that require care on an ongoing basis but no longer require intensive care or extensive diagnostic procedures, for example people who are on ventilators and have been cleared from ICU to be transferred to an L-tach center , then I HIGHLY recommend this place! It gives hope for cases that appears hopeless! The Care Team is amazing! The Nurses Tammy, Roberta, Hilliard, Priestly, Latonya, Halle, Petra, Cathy, and all the 4th floor Nurses, Pacts, CNA, Respiratory Team, and Physicians Dr. Reginald Jackson, Dr. Lambert , the G. I. Consultant, and Case Manager Latonya are thorough, caring, and attentive to the patients needs. The Patient Liaison at SELECT Atlanta Medical Center named ChiChi is to be commended for her dedication and for being very instrumental in her assistance along with the assistance of Catherine in Social Services at Grady Hospital in arranging the transfer smoothly from Grady ICU to SELECT for long term care for my Mom! They have successfully weaned my Mom off the ventilator (respirator) after having severe respiratory problems from COVID. Mom has been learning to be independent again and is able to sit up in bed, walk again (with assistance) and feed herself! Yes, she is able to finally eat again after so many month! Not only that , my Mom looks far better than she has looked in years! Im crying tears of joy as I give this review. The Team has effectively communicated with me about her progress, care plans and the treatment they are providing! I am so that my Mom is there! I am grateful for Grady ICU and Wellstar SELECT Atlanta Medical L-tach Center for their outstanding expertise in emergency intensive care circumstances! Thank you for your diligence!

2022-04-19The billing representative should be fired…it is 11:49pm on 04/18 and we are in the emergency department…she had no customer service skills at all… I offered to pay all necessary cost for treatment and she told me that I could not and the next time my partner comes he should be able to make the payments personally…it’s always the fat women that has to always be disgusting and it’s ridiculous
