So so delicious!! My husband and I loved it. We visited for the first time and we loved the food, the atmosphere, and people. We both got burgers- me the Buffalo bleu with sweet potato fries and him the TCB(peanut butter banana) with waffle fries. We also got the potstickers appetizer which was very good. For sure our new favorite restaurant in Augusta!
Whiskey bar, as you imagine has a great selection of whiskeys and bourbons. But youd be surprised by the menu if you havent been there before. Its pretty diverse everything looked great coming out of the kitchen and the wait staff was incredibly efficient. Highly recommend if youre downtown and need to grab a bite to eat.
The food is incredible and the service is wonderful. The wait staff are very attentive and quick to inform of something that needs to be modified. Little disappointed in their glass prices for certain whiskies but other than that this is a great place that definitely deserves repeat visits! If it wasnt obvious, I love this restaurant! Wonderful atmosphere with great food and great service
Whiskey Bar Kitchen had excellent food and great service, I got the Sink burger and it was quite good allowing me to try almost every ingredient they had to offer, The service was amazing and the food came out quickly and my drink never went empty. The location could be better it was very loud and for being a great food place it tried to take the bar look a bit too far making it unappeling for those there just for food, All and all it was a great experiance and I will be going back just not on a regular basis.
Wait time was over an hour even though there were empty tables that were clean and tables that sat for an hour with no one clearing those tables. We were told they were reserved but they sat empty until after we were seated. Food was 5 star ( a good messy burger) but we had to wave down the waitress for water refills. Maybe short staffed?? Not sure because I saw at least 7 people on the floor including the bartender. Its not that big of a place so they looked fully staffed.
A must stop at downtown Augusta! There are few places where you get top notch service, great food, incredible selection of liquor, and just the right atmosphere!Whiskey Bar and Kitchen, nails it with their amazing staff, huge whiskey and other liquors selection, amazing food, and right out of tennessee decor! This will be my first stop should I ever visit August Georgia again, even before checking in to my place.Any their other plates will satisfy your palette and fill you up. All the liquor is treated with great kindness, everything has a cap and is capped right off again as soon as it is used. No fruitflies here!I must commend the staff on their ability to make a stranger feel like they are home. True professionalism and great service from everyone. What threw me off at first, was being in a whiskey bar, but having great authentic Asian cuisine! What an amazing touch to an already great menu! Try The Sink burger and you will love it! This time around they did not have the great Pot Stickers and if they do, order those as well. Today I tried one of their bowls, and asked for the menu again.A truly welcoming experience to downtown Augusta Georgia. Thank you! A+++
The host (blonde guy I don’t know the name of) was amazing, food was wonderful... but made a reservation at 6:16pm on a Friday night snd didn’t get seated until TWO hours later! We had our pup with us and outdoor seating is very limited. Every “first come” patron got first dibs on the outdoor seating. Our sever, Lucy, wasn’t very attentive. The Old Fashioned was nice, not the WB Sazerac was very full of the Bitters. Too much. My husband got the Cali burger snd I got the Elway... both amazing choices. The Buffalo chicken dip was yum!
Weve been here more than a dozen times, Im sure, and it is literally ALWAYS my first date night or downtown lunch rec. The buffalo chicken dip is a must try. Our go-tos are burgers, like the teriyaki, kitchen sink, the bleu and salads or either of the teriyaki chicken dinners, or barn yard pump nuggs! Drinks are on point, too. Never disappointed 🤌
Cute lil bar with great food in downtown Augusta. My husband and I have ate here a few different times with our daughter. I ordered pot stickers as an appetizer. The chicken teriyaki is my favorite. The Teriyaki sauce makes everything that much better. My husband always gets the Buffalo chicken dip. Only thing I don’t like is we did try going on a Saturday night and they closed at 10PM.
The decor and name may make you think this is a dive bar, but the food is far from it (the decor isn’t that bad actually). I hear the burgers are great, but being Japanese I couldn’t help but notice the Japanese inspired dishes. What caught my eye was the Curry Catsu Rice. And I must say that was one of the best dishes I’ve had anywhere in my entire life! I was raised on all three foods, so I know a bit about them :). The brown curry was a perfect taste. I know that’s ambiguous, but my taste buds loved it! The chicken Katsu was made to perfection (katsu is Panko breading over chicken or pork) on a bed of perfectly cooked rice, topped with the brown curry sauce. Man, describing it makes me want to eat some right now!
Love coming here with friends and family. Sorry no photos, we were all too hungry and ate all our food before we realized we didnt take any photos again this trip.Got a couple of great suggestions since we come here a lot:Start off with a large order of onion rings by telling your server you want them as your appetizer. Ask for a few sides of ranch (for the appetizer and for your meal, they have great ranch dressing!).Go all in on a breakfast burger, I usually have them leave the syrup off and it is off the chain. For sides it comes with hashbrowns, substitute them for Waffle Fries. Remember that ranch you tried in the onion rings you saved? Yuppers, drown them Waffle Fries in that ranch dressing by dunking them in there (twice on the same fry when no one is looking).Everytime we hit this place up, whether for a business lunch or just plain hangry and need some substance in your life - they never disappoint. We have been big fans of WBK since they opened, and you will, too.I GUARANTEE IT!
A nice rustic, resturant and bar in downtown Augusta. They have a wide variety of liquors and drinks. My husband and I got the Buffalo chicken Dip as an appetizer which was amazing! We also got the pork belly Taco and chicken terriaki plate for our entrees. Both were packed with flavor and hit the spot! Kerri our server was very sweet and took good care of us! If you are in Downtown Augusta check them out!
Ok, Ill start off and say I wasnt that hungry when we came here. My wife was starving for some reason so here we are. The waitress serving us was not very engaging. She wasnt mean and anything but just didnt come across like she wanted to serve us. Tough IMHO...I just kept talking to her until I would common ground for her to loosen up. Honestly, I shouldnt have to put that much work into it but ehh. Food was just ok and I started to give this three stars but Im going to go to 4 because the server could have been having a really bad day.
They can have a Loooooonnnng wait (we put our name on the list for 45 minute wait and decided to sit at bar. Got a message an hour and forty minutes later our table was ready lol) however, the extremely long bar is first come first serve so theres really no issue with wait time if there is room there. Regardless, I recommend calling ahead on the weekend. The food and service was excellent. I had the burger, which is one of my favorites in town now... and they have waffle fries! All in all, it was a wonderful atmosphere with good drink selection and wonderful service. Cant wait to go back!
Live out of town and came back because everything was great the first time a few years ago. Everything was still good, except the male hostess outside. He acted like he had better things to do than take names for a table and answer customer questions. The post-covid rudeness is getting old. Waitress and food are still on point.
Whiskey Bar Kitchen enviroment is so much good. this time visit this ill dreank some drink to fell frashnesh. A bar, also known as a saloon, a tavern or tippling house, or sometimes as a pub or club, is a retail business establishment that serves alcoholic beverages, such as beer, wine, liquor, cocktails, and other beverages such as mineral water and soft drinks.
My wife and I killed some time here while waiting on car repair. I had a burger and onion rings. It was a better than average burger, but the onion rings were really good. The clientele seems to be mid 20s to 30s, but I wasnt the only grey hair in the place.Service was good. Our server was friendly and helpful without being in the way.The decor and ambiance are pleasant. Kind of an old timey feel. Music, but not too loud. All in all, well worth trying. We will definitely going back.
Service was perfect. Food was good (8/10). Veggie side was unseasoned, but nothing deficient in quality of ingredients. Burgers were tasty and they have vegetarian options. They rotated beer taps, so the menu doesnt match the draft offerings, but they have a big enough can list to fill the gaps. If I could rate 4.5 I would.
I didn’t have a pleasant experience at all. The server, who didn’t even introduce herself, made the experience awful. We waited over 10 minutes for her to even grab our drink orders…(mind you she wasn’t busy, she only had 3 tables to tend to) While we waited for our food we needed another drink and made it quite obvious but she just ignored us, walking past our table several times just blatantly ignoring us. So we had to go to the bar and order from the bar tender who literally rolled her eyes and stomped her feet and whined like a child when we asked to put it on our tab at the table, something my 5 year old child does when she doesn’t get ice cream. Next the food, terrible. The nuggets appeared to be fried a time or two before it made it to the table..hard as a rock and very dry. The shrimp “taco” is more like 1 piece of shrimp in a tortilla. Never once did our server check on us. We didn’t finish our food nor our drinks. Waited 10 minutes at the bar for someone to find our waitress so we could pay the bill. It was the WORST experience ever.
My second time coming here and it was an equally as pleasant experience. My waitress was Tiffany if I’m not mistaken, she was very friendly and extremely attentive. Our food came out in a timely manner and everything was fresh and delicious!! We ordered the wings as an appetizer, we opted for both mild and lemon pepper. Perfect wings, hot, crispy, well seasoned. I had the entree of the Katsu curry pork, it’s battered in panko and fried then topped with a savory, brown curry gravy and served with white rice. I am still thinking about that curry sauce this morning lol. Also tried the Canadian mule, it consisted of crown vanilla, ginger beer and lime juice. very smooth and refreshing. They have zillions of whiskeys, as their name implies!
I had the steak bowl... flavor was good but a little too sweet. I still would have been satisfied with it if it had not been swimming in liquid. It was served over steamed rice but i couldnt find the rice because of the liquid.Hubby loved the cheeseburger! I do agree! ...whenever we are there and have cheeseburgers, theyre always delicious thats why I still gave this place of 4.
Perfect night at Whiskey Bar Kitchen. The kitchen staff did a great job getting our food out in a timely manner. The food itself was fabulous, I highly recommend the pot stickers! Corbee was an excellent server he entertained our table, made us laugh and smile. Then took us on a verbal tour of the local bars to check out after dinner. 100% would come again.
Tired of my food always being fixed wrong. I say sauce on the side and sandwich is covered in it to the point the bun is soggy. With it being a to go order it wasnt worth eating when I got it home. I repeated my order 3 times because everytime I order there its the same thing.
Phenomenal food even better service. The atmosphere is wonderful. These people know what they are doing there is a dish for everyone. The drinks I great and the price is fair. I would highly reccomend this place whether its family night out or a date night for fun. Any occasion this is the place to be.
Had a couple of drinks and some wings and fries. Wings were ok. They came out hot. The fries on the other hand werent that good. They were on the cold side and didnt have any seasoning. Fries set the standard for any restaurant. They had this texture that was hard to explain. Its almost like they were stale and then fried. I cant put my finger on what was wrong. The atmosphere was pretty good. Had enough TVs for the game and they all were in the right places.
Excellent food and service. Dont expect speed because they demand quality. Edit: I had to edit to add that they are actually much quicker than I initially assumed, I think take out just may take a little longer. Also, I really wish they wouldnt charge .50 for every sauce, for example, instead of ketchup with my waffle fries, I asked for BBQ, and was charged.....no, I didnt get ketchup AND bbq, just bbq, so I assumed they should offset. Also, dont ask for extra hot sauce with your wings, as again, you will be charged.
Had the avacado sandwich with sweet potato fries and that delicious coconut creme sauce! All of their creations are unique but definitely delicious. Staff is super friendly and made sure my husband and I were comfortable and happy! Thanks so much for an amazing experience!
Love the burgers here. Tried the metro burger for the first time. Usually get the Cali burger, love it! Now I definitely have two favs!! Very unique combinations for all the burgers. Love the remoulade with my waffle fries! The sweet potato fries are also fantastic! We have tried some of the other plates but honestly the burgers are so good, theyre the reason I come here.
Great burgers! The fries are seeped and drained of starch + properly seasoned so they are crispy and salty chips of perfection. The prices here are ludicrously fair, because the kitchen uses standard ingredients but prepares them in masterful fashion. I havent finished a burger in probably a year, and mine here was simple. Cheddar, lettuce, diamond cut pickle slices. But so well done! The bathrooms are clean, and have a joint waiting room in case you are stuck in line. The facilities are amazing and they keep the floor moving, quests are in and out but the entire experience was super welcoming. The waiters and staff were so good at taking orders and they always seemed busy. They are honest, helpful and responsive. They dont try to up-sale you because they know that youll love anything you order.I dont know much about the drinks but they had many coolers of different selections and lots of soda, so Id say they have a lot to offer. And the bar was always clean, I watched and people were getting their drinks prepared right away.Super impressed, I compliment the team and recommend this to anyone who can come.
From the time we checked in outside on the sidewalk till the time we left, phenomenal service with a smile. The food was absolutely wonderful! Taylor made our visit very easy. She knew what we were describing and what would fit. She made an excellent suggestion for the buffalo dip as a starter as well. We will be back soon!
Wow was this place great. A very wide ranging menu for lunch. There were five of us and we all ordered something different. Also ordered a seaweed salad to share and it was the best I have ever had and I have had many. We also ordered a TCB burger which is their take on an Elvis Pressly and it too was great. Shared it with everyone in our group. All in all a wonderful lunch experience that I hope to do again soon.
Service was bad. Burgers were way overcooked. We sat outside. The picnic table was very nice & clean. The server didnt write anything down when she took our order. Our orders came out correctly, except that the 3 of us all got salads... and I told her to bring the salads 1st.When they brought the salads out WITH the entrees, I commented that we wanted the salads 1st, and that I had said that when we ordered. She replied Oh, I didnt hear you. The other 2 people at my table commented to her at this point that they had heard me say it also. There was no concession on her part at this point, or any other point.Isnt that common sense though? The answer is yes, it is. Its common sense for real. Side salads come out first.... always. On to the hot food..... By the time we finished our salads, the fries werent hot anymore; the sandwiches werent hot anymore (2 burgers, 1 chicken sandwich). Also, the menu says that burgers are cooked med-well unless otherwise specified. With 2 burgers ordered, the other person didnt specify a temp; I, however, did specifically order mine med-well. BOTH were not only cooked well done, but also overcooked for well done and dried out.I guess that I should also mention that no refills were offered until the check was offered to us, and my drink had been completely empty (and watered down before that) for at least 15 minutes.I do not recommend. Very bad experience. Please support local restaurants, but this was my first time there, and I dont plan on returning.
Great burger joint!!!!Only way the burger could’ve been better is if I was to have cooked it and it had been a little bit bigger. It was cooked medium the way I liked it upon request.Whiskey prices are a bit high in my opinion, but an amazing selection. Not a good option if you’re bringing kids.I’d like to come back Wo the kids though.
A fun and lively sports bar right on Broad in downtown Augusta. Theres plenty of indoor bar and booth seating, along with outdoor tables for people-watching along the citys grand boulevard. The menu is delicious albeit normal bar fare, but the friendly service is otherworldly!
My God this was amazing... Like holy lord Almighty! I had the breakfast burger with hash browns and let me tell you I have never had better hash browns in my life. The burger itself was absolutely delicious. Most breakfast burgers are usually very leaky due to the egg or even syrup but somehow these guys made a sturdy and intact breakfast burger!
TL;DR: Whiskey Bar Kitchen is a bit of an upscale bar located in downtown Augusta. Food is great and there are lots of drink options. Only complaint is that the restaurant is fairly small so it feels crowded and wait times can be long.Outside/Pre meal: The Whiskey Bar Kitchen is located in downtown Augusta, so it can be a bit difficult to find parking at times. There is no specific parking for the restaurant so you have to park on the street and walk to the restaurant. They do not take reservations, but you can join the waiting list via the Yelp app, which I did when I visited for dinner. Ended up waiting about 45 minutes on a Saturday evening. Checked in on the app at 5:45 and was sat around 6:30. It is easy to go up to the hostess and say that you checked in on Yelp and then you can check and see where you are in line on the app. Pretty useful!Inside/decor: The restaurant is fairly small and can get quite loud when it is full. That would be my only complaint. At dinner it was sometimes difficult to hear each other talk, but when I visited for lunch it was not a big deal. The decor is well themed with a few neat Augusta souvenirs on the wall. The bar is very nice and has lots of whiskey on display. It looks a bit upscale, but then there are lots of TVs giving it less of a distinguished feel. Seems a bit out of place. There is only one way through the restaurant to the bathroom, so sometimes that main aisle can get crowded with people sitting at the bar and servers walking through.Food: The food was excellent. The menu is a little small, with only apps, Asian food, and burgers. However, everything I have had was delicious. Ive had the Tokyo Beef bowl and the Fried Pig Plate, both were very filling and cooked well. I also liked that both had some greens on the plate and it wasnt just meat and rice. People in my party had burgers, sweet potato fries, and waffle fries. No complaints about anything and the fries were very crispy. Burgers are large enough and come with enough toppings to justify the price.Staff: I havent had an issue with any staff in my two visits. The restaurant seemed well staffed with lots of servers walking around. There were also multiple people working the hostess station. The hostess were patient and explained to me how waiting for a table works both times I asked for a wait time estimate. I thought it was odd that they explained they really didnt know because it depends on people leaving instead of just giving a time estimate. I wonder if theyve had to deal with some unruly patrons recently.
Went here with my kiddos. The waitress was nice, the place def not catering to kids but no one seemed to care. The food is tasty and well made (kid and adult approved) Don’t pay for a “meh” meal … pay for a yum meal here. Nothing is worse than tasteless fried stuff that costs the same as tasty yum stuff. I had the pork Katzu and the kiddos had chick nuggets and fries (sweet and waffle). Yum, I tell you. Yum!!
Menu description of appetizers way off. Whiskey waffle fries came as just plain old waffle fries, undercooked and no toppings. Two dollar order of fries for nine dollars. Pork belly tacos came as wraps not tacos. Pork belly was dry and tasteless. Total bill $34 with tip. Had a better meal at Taco Bell for nine dollars.
Excellent. Must try the pork belly and Asian slaw taco. Also the seaweed salad was delightful. 5 stars absolutely, however I think the Asian slaw on the taco would be a great opportunity to add a bit more heat. Maybe toss in a few chilies. First place Ive been to in Augusta so far Im impressed. Also, I got a side of the citrus alioli to try--very tasty! Quite delightful!
First and foremost if you get a server named Taylor T. do yourself a favor and ask for another server. If youre lucky enough for her to even show up at your table to finally take your order, youll have to deal with her poor attitude and service. Its unfortunate that poor table service is enough to ruin what is normally a great restaurant and bar. For the short time we were there, thanks to Taylors poor service, a majority of the servers were too busy chatting with the hosts outside to mind their own tables. Several customers had to approach the waiter area behind us to ask to pay their bills. Again, poor service ruins what would otherwise be a great dining and bar experience.
Where to begin. Waited 10 minutes or so before server ever walked up to our table. That in itself wasnt the issue she didnt introduce herself and gave the impression she could care less about being there or waiting on us.Next it took 45 minutes to get food which in itself was ok, but wasnt ok that the food was cold like it had been sitting in the pass for a while.Asked for manager and this is where i was done. Explained we arent trying to make a big deal however dont feel as though the server wanted to wait on us and food was cold. Well there was no apology, offer to reheat lunch. What we got was are you ready to cash out. When I said give us 5 minutes she said ok. Returned in 5 minutes and we paid the bill, she then asked if this was our first time there and I replied yes and our last based on this service. Her reply was ok thank you have a good day.Gave several chances to both server and manager to offer an apology and none was ever given. If you are wanting service this is not the place to go which is a shame as the food was actually pretty good. But the service ruined the experience.
Went for dinner, the hostess took our cellphone number and said she would text us when a table was open, we were just right next door at a sister business, we never got a text. When we asked the hostess if table was ready yet she said we didnt respond to the text and gave our table to a other party. We asked if we could get next open table and she said no, we would be a the bottom of the list. We left and went to a other restaurant. It was not a good experience.
I tried them for the first time on 3/5/2021. Even for mid-afternoon we had a 20 minute wait. It was worth it. I was really hungry. I ordered the sweet potato fries with coconut cream sauce, shrimp taco, and side salad with miso ginger dressing. Everything was well presented, pleasantly served, and delicious. Other items ordered at our table were the whiskey burger with fries and the teriyaki chicken plate. Those also looked delicious and were enjoyed. I wish I had taken pictures. Perhaps on my next trip. A+
Busy on a Tuesday night. We ordered takeout and sat outside at the Metro, their next door sister coffee shop/pub. Pig sandwich and fish tacos were tasty. Drinks ordered from the Metro, great beer selection. Will go back another time to sample some Bourbons at the Whiskey.
Great service, great menu, and great drinks. They have a decent amount of outdoor seating if you prefer to sit outside (nice touch). My favorite dish is their tonkatsu curry with rice. Tastes authentic, reasonably priced, and a good serving size.100% recommend if youre looking for a good, sit-down meal downtown.
Great atmosphere in downtown, call ahead to arrange seating unless you dont mind sitting outside for a while in the evenings. Be sure to check out the drink menu. A lot of great offerings from here in the states and abroad. Oh, the food isnt bad either. Come with friends.
The food was amazing and so unique. All four of us ordered something different and shared with each other. Everything I tasted was delicious. I especially appreciated the vegetarian options they had available on the burger menu. I cant wait to go back and try more of the menu.
First... The Man who took my order was sooo polite and helpful! I wish I had his name, but OMGOODNESS, Hes 100% great at his job and dealing top notch customer service.Second... The chicken wings were AWESOME!!!Last, The Buffalo Chicken dip was sooo Good, I wished I had placed an order for Two!!!I got my food to go, however, I cannot wait to go back and have a dine in experience. Fantastic💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💛💕
Ive been here twice. It is a fun idea in a great area for experiencing downtown Augusta. My friends love it. I could live with never coming back. The burger concepts are great, but the flavor is not worth the cost. Specifically, the burger itself has no flavor or seasoning. Its just heavily relying on the toppings for flavor. I took my husband and son here during the last visit and neither liked it, so we wont be back. One response was it was ok...but it wasnt $12 good. While the menu indicates burgers are cooked medium well/slightly pink, one of our burgers was actually rare. That one was not eaten. I wouldve mentioned it to the server, but it wasnt a very attentive day. Its worth a try and either you like it or you dont.
First time going during a super busy time in which we had to wait 40 minutes. Once seat we where promptly served in which I ordered the devils peak burger, Buffalo dip, waffle fries.Buffalo dip - it was super tasty but nothing special. It tasted like any Buffalo dip you make at home but worth the try if a Buffalo fan.Burger - I am a heat seeker and really enjoyed the burger. They use fresh jalapeños which is very forward on the burger and adds some heat. The patty was your traditional restaurant patty that was juicy. The other fixins were smoke ghost pepper jack cheese, sriracha sauce, wasabi mayo and bacon. The cheese was smoky and not as hot as the name implies. The sauces added some more heat the complimented the overall burger. The bacon was nice and crispy. If your a heat seeker this is a must try. Overall spiciness is a 6 out of 10.Fries - they were good waffle fries with a really addictive honey mustard.Atmosphere and overall enjoyment - The wait took some time with them mixing up the amount in my party. The waitress was nice but was super busy and I needed to get her attention everytime my party needed something. The atmosphere was great and loud so carrying a conversation can be tough. My party got a teriyaki burger, cali burger, and basic burger. All said they where great.
I went in being super skeptical. The food was AMAZING!!! We had the edamame which was so covered in garlic and the potstickers were amazing! I ate the katsu curry and it was so spot on!!! The only reason I give them a 4 star is because I didn’t have something to drink half the time. But they were SUPER busy! If you want good Asian fusion, definitely try it out!!!!
So amazingly great! They were super busy but had us seated quickly and our server Corey was so personable! We ordered burgers and Waffle fries nothing fancy right? Wrong! These burgers were beautiful! Full of flavor and they came out quickly! Definitely a place good enough for me to take the time to review it and I’ll for sure come back! So great!
Whiskey Bar Kitchen is still one of the best restaurants in Downtown Augusta. my first visit coming here I had a purchased the Breakfast Burger with Hashbrowns. This visit I got a Burger with fries and zaxby like sauce and it was amazing. If you havent come here yet I encourage you too.
Our friend referred is to this place and said it was amazing burgers... We had to wait 45 minutes in order to be seated and then wait about 20 minutes... The waiter was super nice ... When we finally got our food it tasted amazing . Another con is the place is super small and it get super crowded and loud .... I got the metro burger it was super good the only thing is that they burnt my mushroom and it didn’t taste good ... But the burger had flavor and the bun was super soft .... My husband had the Elway burger AMAZING !!!! The onion rings and barbecue sauce on it was BOMB ! I suggest you getting it and the waffle fries were super good had well had salt on it and it was cooked perfectly ! overall the best burger my husband and I have eaten we will definitely come back
*Disclaimer: this was my first time ever sending food back at a restaurant and certainly my first bad review of a restaurant.*I came here on Monday, 11/30 around 1:30 p.m. We ordered a beer, an appetizer, and two burgers: the metro and the sink. Unfortunately, the burgers were both inedible; the metro was extremely over-salted, and the sink was bland (it may have been because they forgot the sauce - I’m not sure!).We told our server (whose name was Margaret according to the receipt), and she responded very apologetically and told us the burgers would be taken off. Ten minutes later, though, the manager, Misty, came out from the back, looked at our table from afar, and then came to talk to us. Her tone was very accusatory, and she all but explicitly accused us of trying to get free food. When I explained that my burger was over-salted, she responded by saying there is no salt in the burger but rather a miso paste, and she eventually said she’d take the burger off of the ticket. She asked my boyfriend what was wrong with the sink burger, and when he explained that it was dry and bland, instead of apologizing, she argued with him about how that burger is “the most flavorful burger because it has everything in it.” She said she would discount that burger, so for that burger we paid $11.06 for something we had taken three bites out of. At every restaurant I’ve worked at, when a complaint is made and the food is taken from the table, the customer is not charged for it - because most of the food has not been eaten. Our burger was still largely uneaten and the sides remained untouched, the server took the plate away, yet we were still charged.Throughout the conversation, the manager’s tone was notably condescending; we felt like we were being talked down to and being accused of lying—though we had only taken three bites of the burger and were polite, so obviously we were not just trying to get free food. Further, earlier I had seen the manager go to the bar and stare at us before greeting the table, so it felt like we had been profiled. I work in two restaurants, and I know often staff will have their stereotypes about how a table will act/tip. Perhaps my boyfriend and I fit these negative perceptions/stereotypes, and this explains our visit. All in all, we spent $32 ($50 after the tip) only to leave exceedingly dissatisfied and still hungry. I am very disappointed in this experience. I completely understand that the kitchen messes up; if that had been the only issue I would not be writing this review. I also understand that often customers do try to get free food. That was not the case whatsoever with us, though, and it is disappointing and inappropriate that we were treated as such. The manager’s accusatory and callous attitude left me never wanting to return to this restaurant again, though I had very high hopes. It is possible we just had bad luck because I’ve heard such good things about Whiskey Bar, but this experience left a very bad taste in my mouth.I wrote up this exact complaint, emailed the restaurant, and received no response. So, if you care about good customer service and a staff that cares about its customers, avoid this place!
The food is great. The scenery is great. But the customer service is FANTASTIC! I dont know how to explain it but I never leave this place unsatisfied. Who ever runs this establishment please know that your staff is exceeding expectations. Thats coming from a lucky individual lol. Keep up the good work!
I cannot say enough great things about this place! Its my favorite restaurant in town and I bring out of town family here when they visit. If youre ever in town you have to go! Their blue cheese burger is heavenly as well as those sweet potato fries!!! They also have amazing craft beer and wonderful service. Its usually busy so get there early.
I went here with some friends. The wait at 5:30 was already at 45 minutes. So we sat in the car until they sent a text to say the table was ready. We all ordered something different and loved the food. The potstickers and edamame were good. The sink and TCB burgers were also good. I had a drink that I think was called 1916 and it was delicious. We will definitely be back.
Stopped in for a quick bite on Sunday afternoon. Their brunch menu was great and i thoroughly enjoyed the pulled pork Benedict. Even though it was busy, the bar tender was very attentive and i managed to meet a couple of young people from home. Overall a very friendly experience, with good food and beer and an amazing whisky collection I plan to do some sampling of.
Ordered 3 different veggie burgers over my time visiting here (so, take the fact its veggie as the grain of salt). The restaurant is clean and the decor is interesting, but the burgers were subpar. Not so much the patty, but the sauces (which were super sweet) and the fact that they added way too much salt. Like, way too much salt. The onion rings had a very odd super sweet taste to them and the fries were well over-fried (hard and chewy). Perhaps they arent so off with the meat options?
Had the TCB burger with the peanut butter, banana and bacon on the honey croissant roll. Cooked to perfection...just the right amount of pink in the middle. Might be the best thing Ive ever eaten...and I was on my way home from Charleston...that says a lot! Also Im very fussy
Wow! What a place! My first time here. I highly recommend the pig sandwich. It was amazing.Delicious.And the whiskey wall.... fantastic.I sat at the bar, because I was alone. Brittany, the bartender, was amazing. She was very professional, knowledgeable about drinks, friendly and nice.Very nice atmosphere, family friendly as well as great for couples. I will be back.

2022-04-21Had a great time at Whiskey Bar Kitchen. Food was awesome, staff was friendly, drinks were great too. For appetizers we got fried dumplings and chicken wings. Both were great and flavorful. For my entree, I got the TCB burger (based on Elvis’s favorite sandwich) creamy peanut butter, bacon, honey croissant bun, and normally it has bananas but I asked for it without them. While it may seem like a weird combination, it was very delicious! The only con was the wait to be seated, but that’s because it is a popular dinner spot so they get busy. Definitely recommend a visit

2022-02-05Walked in 45 minutes ago, still no food. Hamburger was small but good. Onion rings were the best! Service very slow, leaving an hour later.

2021-12-15Recently stopped in at Whiskey bar after attending a comedy show at Miller Theatre on a Friday night around 9 p.m. I really appreciate the handy wait list feature that allowed us to get on the list before we left the theater which really saved us some time. We checked in with the host before required time and were seated shortly there after. Parties of 2 who came after us that were not on wait list were quoted about 30-45 min wait. Keep in mind they close at 10 p.m. So as you can see this place stays busy and rightfully so. Love the laid back bar vibe and eclectic menu. They have a lot of great craft beer on draft and their menu definitely has a lot of variety which is good if your with a group of people who may be in the mood for different genres of food. We decided to share the Lemmon pepper wings which we really enjoyed. They were hot and crispy and full of flavor. I only have wish that I had requested all flats since I prefer them. The pot stickers were good but the highlight was the Devils Peak burger that we shared. The burger was cooked perfectly and was just the right amount of heat (spice). The Death Valley pineapple mango salsa was not overpowering and the ghost pepper pepper jack cheese really complimented the burger. We also really enjoyed the sweet potatoes fries with the accompanied coconut cream sauce. Staff was great and attentive. We will definitely be back and ensure we use the check in again before we head over.

2022-02-21I usually get to go food. Depending on the busy-ness of the restaurant, the food is always prompt. Today I got togo food. It was ready right when I walked up. Ezra took my Togo order and Kayla and Michael were the other two hosts. Very friendly, Per usual and got me check out and on my way. All of my food was correct to order and tastes soo great, as always.

2022-01-09Amazing burgers (I had the Cali and he had the Remedy.) The onions rings are thick and the fries are good. Neither are greasy. The sauces though are incredible. We had the citrus aioli, horseradish, wasabi, and maple chili to try. The selection of drinks make you want an sip whiskey the entire day. Excellent in all ways including the service. We will be back weekly.

2022-06-02Arrived between 6:30 and 7pm on a Wednesday evening. Had to circle the block a couple of times to find parking. It was busy, but not crowded, outside seating available. Great burger menu, full bar available. Ordered the Teriyaki burger and the onion rings. The burger was delicious and the onion rings were cooked to perfection and seasoned well. Our waiter, Griffin, was attentive. Great local, casual restaurant. Will visit again.

2022-04-03The Bleu Buffalo burger was fantastic! Nice heat and the blue cheese was so creamy and bold. Delicious! We also tried The Metro. The garlic flavor was a bit overpowering and you couldnt really taste the Swiss. The Guinness had an excellent pour though, such a good looking beer and tasted great. The only thing I would change is to have a room temp glass for it. The glass was a bit cold for the type of beer. Atmosphere at the bar was nice as well.

2021-09-07This place was quite busy given that most places around the area were closed, so the wait was longer than expected. The host was super considerate and informative, which made the wait bearable. The waitress was great and our food were delicious too.

2022-04-18I frequent this locally owned establishment once a week. This evening, I had the Pot Stickers, The Diablo Burger, a double Larceny neat and an Orange Blossom. My bartender, “Jameson”, haha, was way more than welcoming with his hospitality, making me feel right at home. I LOVE whiskey Bar.
