Whole Foods Market in other cities:
I am horribly disguted by Anna the front store manager. Actually my treatment was based on my race. A white woman is being checked out and in the middle of her transaction the system freeze. I have all my items loaded on the belt. Anna tells the cashier to finish bagging all the white lady grocery and its free. Tell me a black woman to go to another register, so I say her items are free and I have yp stand in the back of another line. Anna reply well she can ring you up, I reply she cant ring her up either. The cashier storms off crying, yes typical Karen behavior and the white woman leaves with her cart full of free food. My husband and I are left standing at the cashier with our items on the belt. No further assistance from Anna the store manager who just stares at me. I walk off, but my husband moves all the items to Express and cash out. This wholefood did not deserve my $226
Stopped by around 2:00 today to purchase fruit and I wanted a rotisserie chicken specifically. No rotisserie chickens…I asked an employee from prepared foods if any were coming out soon. Instead of just politely apologizing for being out, he proceeds to blame it on his coworker. ‘She came in late and wasn’t on the ball this morning’…Yuck…No need to throw your coworker under the bus…
The lady at the deli with the braids was VERY!! rude and NASTY ! for no apparent reason she got upset with me b/c I only wanted a half of a pound of something and still didn’t give me a half a pound after she gave it me she just gave me what she wanted to give me and SLAMMED! it in the counter when she have it to me.Idk if she was having a bad day or something.. but she needs to be retrained on customer service b/c she had a terrible nasty attitude for no reason at all.Overall great store but this women definitely needs some retraining on her customer service skills.
When it comes to nutrition and vitamins zwhole Foods is the spot. The help and support i received from the very amazing black woman who truly impressed me with her knowledge of the whole foods product line was astonishing. She never promoted the highest price but the product best in serving my need. Man I bought the sweetest fresh grapes almost like eating pure sugar and there is a plus to being a Prime member the discounts saved a few dollars.
As a regular customer of the Merchants Walk Whole Foods for over one year, I feel like I am able to make some accurate observations about the operation. There are some very friendly and attentative people who work there. In particular, there is one lady in the cold cuts/prepared foods section who is excellent. Similarly, there are some people in the produce and dairy department who are outstanding. The fish department is understaffed, but they generally try their best. However, the meat department is a real problem. The men in this department often talk among themselves and will totally ignore you if you are standing in front of them waiting to be served. This morning, they were sharing a very long fishing story with another employee who was standing right next to me as I was looking at them to be waited on. I tried to not go over the that department for a while because I saw how into this fishing story they were. Finally, I had no choice. After standing in front of them for a while and being ignored, I eventually walked away with my cart and they just kept on talking. Sadly, they must not pay much attention to the quality of their work either. For example, we stopped buying chicken and beef kabobs there because on more than one occasion we have found produce labels still on the peppers of the kabob stick (pretty gross after being cooked on the grill). There have been a few times when the meat department has been attentive, but Its few and far between. I assumed the reason for the attentiveness on these rare occasions was because they were expecting a corporate inspection or mystery shoppers. The above rating is strictly for the unattentive meat department, not the other departments.
I bought a bag of small oranges and the second day when I opened them most of them were rotten. One that I salvaged was dry and hard and not edible. I should have checked the bag closer. But for the prices you have to pay I would expect higher quality. So disappointed. This is amended as I took the bag back and they refunded my money. Thank you.
I really enjoy doing my grocery shopping here, you cant beat the variety. They have it all, and its fresh. I wouldnt recommend going whilst hungry though, all their fresh ready to eat is too tempting... you may leave with $15 worth of their fresh cookies and eat the whole bag on your drive home, you know, before your kids can get to them 🤷♀️
Every time I am in the East Cobb Whole Foods @ Merchants Walk, the employees are so helpful☺️ They help me find what I need & make great recommendations👍 The store is so clean & well stocked🌟 I always seem notice something new Ive never seen/tried before & end up buying more than I planned. Its fun to stop in to see what is new🛒 Plus, they have a convenient Amazon pick-up locker just inside to the left of the main entrance, near the Customer Service desk✅
Everytime I visit this particular Whole foods, it appears that it is quite uninviting. Compare that to say one in Avalon. Not fair conparison, but still. Layout, selection severely lacking. Prices, like all WF, are high. but also incorrect As an example, Ben& Jerry ice cream was supposed to be 2 for $7 or something. I did buy two and lo and behold, I am charged $5 each. I dont crib for few pennies but for a $4 blunder. Ugh.Store is nice and clean though.Good community involvement.Parking is plenty, but across from main access path (so a little hassle).
Everyone is happy and customer service is high at this WFM. The only thing is GMOs.. They promised to label all GMOs Nation wide by 2018. Then they sold to Amazon, and now? More then %50 of all items sold in WFM are GMO! Full of Pesticides, Glyphosate (2-A Cancer causing), and still more expensive then any other market??!! Whole Foods is betting that we the public are too stupid to notice their game of hide and charge an arm and a leg for lies and still promote the conventional/chemichal system and politics.. Shame on you WF!
Hard to dislike a whole foods. The store is meticulous. The people are abundantly happy to help, advise, share recipes, or educate if you so desire. The butchers are tiptop and Ive personally gone home w multiple different cuts of meat and plans for dinner because of their enthusiasm about what they were telling me about. My kids love to push the children size karts around. The quality of food is of course great and their hot bar, while not the largest, has a plethora of options for that on the go need.
Edit: My experience lately has been better. Received friendly service, while getting my coffee. The customer service staff was very helpful, too.I like Whole Foods and what they stand for, but their sales people are not consistently helpful and friendly. More times than not, they seem disinterested in helping, except for the employees who work in the beauty isles. Please train your folks to know how to care for your customers.
A nice Whole Foods as they all are but this one lacks terribly in the hot bar department. Each time I’ve gone there’s barely any food, some items at other Whole Foods don’t taste as great here as the other places. I love the Mac and Cheese at Whole Foods but at this one it was gross and super watery. And then there’s only one station for the hot bar... The pizza station pizza didn’t even look as great as the other Whole Foods either
They have so much to offer here. Their food is great! They have products that are hard to found anywhere else. There are many organic and eco friendly products they make shopping here a lot of fun and help you feel good about supporting their stores. I never get tired of shopping at Whole Foods. Also they have EV friendly parking with charging stations.
Better prices than before. You still have to shop selectively, but now the store is reasonable enough to walk into. I come here primarily for the fruits and vegetables as they are better than at most of the other stores, and priced much closer to other locations. Bananas are much better here than at any other supermarkets in town.
While I love the products they have it would be great if the hot bar and cold bar were changed out on a regular basis. The food is the same most of the time and looks so unappetizing. We like to come up to make lunch and dinner instead of restaurants but it is getting ridiculous to see the same food choices every time. Better veggie choices and stop making food with canola oil!!! You guys are supposed to be a step above other places so use better oils to cook with! Add more things without wheat/gluten and keep the soy out unless it is Asian foods.
Clean and well stocked store, mostly nice and friendly employees except the lady at the juice bar seemed to miss the customer service class upon hiring. I had my son with me and after a few minutes of Hold on baby, just waiting for the nice lady to assist us I asked how long it would take to make a smoothie and she said 5-7 minutes, and then continued cleaning. When we finally got our smoothie she just handed me the ticket and said to just take it to the front shes not doing it here (it wasnt anywhere near closing time which threw me off) and then rolled her eyes at her fellow employee who came to talk to her as I was walking away. Extremely rude and left me feeling like I dont want to come to this Whole Foods again.
People working in the bakery are rude and have terrible customers service! I believe her name was Davia. I was gonna order a cake but decided not too because of this , bad business. I also spoke with the assistant manager about it and he didn’t seem to care. Unprofessional.
Absolutely love it here! I got the Italian soda (as shown below) and I truly made me feel like I was in Italy! I love their smoothies! I enjoy the farmers look environment. I always feel like im at home. Many healthy choices. Havent yet been disappointed. And Ive been going here for years!
I love walking into this store. Smells are fresh, store is clean, and I enjoy the items that are available. I find the customer service there is wonderful. I was looking for a specific item I normally purchase in the bakery section, but I couldnt find it. I asked a gentleman behind the bakery counter and he promptly delivered said item to me.I highly recommend this whole foods location.
The store is really nice and clean. I like that you can get fresh meat and seafood! There fruit and vegetables are also fresh and tasty! The staff are all very pleasant and gives great customer service. There hot bar and juice bar are very yummy too. You cant go wrong shopping there.
One of the best locations Ive ever been into!! They have everything you could need from food to cleaning to wine to hot food bar to flowers and BEST of all they have excellent service! The flower arrangement department always stand out to me. They are very knowledgeable and know how to craft beautiful arrangements regardless of how big or small your budget is! Sarah and Emily are by far one of the most customer dedicated employees Ive ever seen!!
Yes quality is good. No the price hasnt dropped really, even for Amazon Prime members. Even legit organic or healthy brands seem to add an imaginary markup to their product in America, amd Whole Foods does nothing to dissuade that. I will come here maybe twice a year to grab something fun, but cannot make it my regular grocery as long as prices remain that high.
Americans need to take out a personal loan of 40,000 to eat healthy? I spent 200 Euro per month in Germany and ate healthier than Whole Foods. However, price point aside, for those Americans who are Health food conscious, this does seem to be an appropriate place to go.hopefully in the future whole foods will be a little bit different with price points and offerings for food. I am all in the idea for organic and as healthy as possible eats & treats. But I think for now, 4share for buying healthy food is on this place.Perhaps in the future will be more of an establishment of whole foods and it may be a little bit less expensive.Come on America, lets all cross our fingers and hope better price changes at whole foods together! But I also must say, when I lived in Amherst Massachusetts, going to whole foods was a welcoming trip for me!so I guess it depends on the location, the circumstances, and the money in my walletwhich will change my views on the prices of whole foods market from time to time.Still though, for more natural and more healthy foods. I believe whole foods is starting hey revolution as how us Americans eat as a nation.
I come here for produce and herbs that I cannot find elsewhere. There is always a fresh selection ready to go whether its kale, peas, or other greens. Also, there is a great buffet style selection of fresh to go food as well which is very healthy. Will be back again.-DM
So Im addicted to the chicken fried tofu, have to be mindful of consumption. Sometimes its really good & others it is too moist. The paleo kale was way too salty last time I guess it just depends on which cook is there. Hopefully they can get things back on track. Overall the prepared food is pretty good, just inconsistent.
Whole Foods is perhaps the only supermarket I enjoy visiting. The Fair Lakes location is a true flagship, too! I never imagined visiting a grocery store that serves freshly-cooked Peking Duck wraps and fondue. My wife and I frequently buy fresh produce here. I also fill up my growler with delicious cold brew at the Allegro coffee café. We meet our friends here on the occasion for dinner in the sports bar.Whole Foods has become an integral part of our lives!
I have been shopping at this store since they opened. When they brought in this team lead John to head up the cheese department, he stopped carrying one of the items i purchase(d) every week. So, I requested the item 5 TIMES. Every week i would go in and asked if they got it in, and each time I would get a different excuse. This last time John told me they had ordered it, but they were unable to get it anymore. I couldnt believe the line of BS and different excuses. This is really a case of John cant be bothered to take care of his customers. So, i complained to the manager on duty Leon, and said that i could find this item at the Sandy springs store, so why couldnt i get it from this store? Leon came back 10 minutes later and said he called the Sandy Springs store and they no longer had the item either. Leon said the item had been discontinued and NONE of the stores carried it. I had a feeling I was not being told the truth, so I drove down the road to the Sandy Springs store - and there it WAS ON THE STORE SHELF. I even took a picture as proof. I then talked to the Sandy Springs managers on duty, and told them what had been said to me.Lets just say these managers get it - its called we want your business and we are a customer service oriented store. So, what does the MERCHANTS WALK STORE think I am some kind of idiot? The was really a NO CUSTOMER SERVICE EXPERIENCE. This store has really gone down the tubes in the last year. The bakery has days old items that I wouldnt feed to my dog. The store employees (John and Leon) have negative customer service attitudes. When you go to the manager on duty to complain about a problem, you would think they would NOT lie to you... Seriously, the company culture in this store is horrible and hence the 1 star review. Right across the road are two other grocery stores that would love my weekly $$$. I just refuse to give anyone my $$$ who does not appreciate my business.
Nice atmosphere but pricey. Compare store brand to other grocery store brand, Whole Foods is generally 20-30% higher or more in some cases. BUT, its much easier to purchase foods that do not have all of the extra ingredients like high fructose syrup, sugar and other chemicals you cannot pronounce. We usually travel to multiple stores as there are 5 choices all within a 5min drive. When you factor your time and multiple trips, there is still savings.
What can I say about the East Cobb location that everyone doesnt already know. Great and helpful customer service love the fresh fish and the Seasoned COD filets are the BOMB!!! Thick, juicy and fresh love COD. Also love thier selection of filtered water and the beer selection. The food bar is tasty even though for me personally I just dont like too many public hands around my food. But its always well kept and cleaned .Give this location a try. Highly recommend.
We have spend thousand with Whole Food. This store may had new cashier that needed more training. The lady who rang me that day didnt seem like she wanted to be there. From 5 big bags, she reluctantly helped put 1 bag in my cart and simply just watched me struggle to organize the cart. With the price you charge customer you can do better Whole Food in making grocery a better experience. Dont hire people who dont look like they want to be there .. grocery itself is a chore for customer .. with premium price tag be nice to also include happy helpful services.
The quality of the prepared foods at this location has been on a steady decline. I used to come in 5 days a week for the hot bar breakfast and sometimes lunch. For the past several months the menu has been getting less diverse and generally less appetizing. A couple weeks ago I was getting some bacon from the breakfast bar and there was a piece that was just straight up raw. Today my co worker got himself a bagel. He covered it with cream cheese, bit into it, and noticed a nice big patch of green mold on the bottom! So, sorry Whole Foods East Cobb, but we are breaking up. Get it together with the quality control.
The Whole Foods at Merchants Walk is great. My wife shops there frequently (and all the way from Barrett Pkwy and Dallas Hwy). Meats, poultry, and seafood. They have great rotisserie AND smoked chickens as well. They have the highest quality vitamins that we use and can only find there. To my wife, its worth the gas.
I like this whole foods but some things are a bit careless from the workers, food bar is normal soup kitchen worthy and service from various stations are unfriendly. I use to love the juice bar but now everyone acts as if you are irritating them by buying a smoothie and the flower arrangement station has people who no nothing about flowers. Im pretty optimistic and look at the inner issues of things so I assume pay is low and workers have their personal issues to deal with.
What a great establishment this is. Most of the employees are some of the kindest people. The slight chance that something does go wrong will undoubtedly be made right by customer service and then some. Shoutout to Josh from the deli, hes the man! Not sure if hes still actively working here but he was the best. I can say that the new tall slim guy working the deli/sandwich bar is awesome too, very genuine and kind human being and does every part of his job right. The Merchants Walk Sandwich is unmatched to any other sandwich. That will be all.
Update: There were problems. Management listened. Thank you for excellent customer service. This is why Whole Foods is one of our favorite neighborhood grocery stores!-----------Ordered 2 pizzas I was told they would be ready in twenty minutes. Got there at 25 minutes after ordering and they hadn’t even made them yet. 10 minutes later the guy makes one throws it in the oven. Pulls that out. Boxes it then several minutes later throws in the second Pizza. Time from order to pick up 56 minutes after having been told 20 minutes. The maker showed no hustle spent time chatting with a female cook. Looked like everything he did was in slow motion. Tells us he was going to give us a break on the price. The promotion was 2 pies for $ 24 with the Whole Foods app. He charged us $ 28. Got home the Pizzas were under cooked and the first one was cold. No more, last time I ordered a Quattro Formagio pizza and it was made with blue cheese! Not normally a cheese used in a pizza. They used to have the best pizza around, not anymore.
Friendly..friendly!! Customer Support desk was unattended for a while. I just kept standing there waiting. But when she arrived she was a doll and helpful. Clean store. Well lite. Prices are clear. They are crazy prices at time...$10.99 for my chocolate almonds is a lil cray, but I suppose. Overall you can expect to find what youd like. But also expect to pay for walking in a Brick & Mortar store.
I ordered bouquets for my wedding party and myself. I talked on the phone twice with Angie in the floral department and even went into the store for an in person meeting. I showed her photos of bouquets I liked, we discussed types of flowers to use, price points to not go over, and she took notes. When I went to pick up the bouquets, she charged me $30 per bridesmaid bouquet instead of the $20 price cap we had discussed. My bridal bouquet was HIDEOUS! It was in the shape of a pageant winners bouquet and it was FULL of plain white roses. I told her in our meeting that I did not like plain roses so she said she would special order garden roses for me. I didnt have time on the day of pick up to complain and wait for her to make me a new bouquet because I had to drive 4 hours to the wedding location for rehearsal. Looking back, I should have just said I did not like it and left it at the store without purchasing it. I was in such a hurry to get to my rehearsal that my judgement was clouded. Luckily my maid of honor came up with a plan after she saw how horrible my bouquet was. We dismantled it to create an actual wedding bouquet shape and took out all of the roses. We had to add in reception flowers to make up for the roses since Angie had put so many in the bouquet. I know that Whole Foods is a grocery store, but I had read such positive things about using Whole Foods for wedding flowers.
Good selection of food products, although its pricy compared to other grocery stores Kroger and Publix. Whole Foods claims to have healthier products, and some are. For complete grocery shopping, its worthwhile to make Whole Foods a stop along with the other stores. We dont just get everything there ... although you could ... and pay a bit more.
We were at this location getting dinner in the deli area. A woman had her dog in this same area where all the food is out. I love dogs, but this is inappropriate for a grocery store to allow. Service dogs yes, this was not the case. I talked to someone at this whole foods and basically they said they dont push the issue. I WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE TO GET ANYTHING FROM THE DELI!! Gross!!
Shopping here is an addictive experience. I usually buy more than I intended, but I have fun talking with the people who make the food (vendors). On Sunday, they sometimes will have vendors selling their food at the store.I think going in the store with a positive attitude and taking my time to shop versus being n a rush is the way to go. I also have bought the 2 for 6 dollars slices of pizza, and made a meal from that.
I had a bad experience today at the meat counter at Whole Foods. Even though the person spoke perfect English I had a hard time ordering. After that she got my order wrong and insinuated it was my fault. I asked if it had come to the point that I need to record myself. Sonya was the only employee in Whole Foods with no name tag and I can see why. Also my meat package had raw ground beef left on it. Why it this person serving the public at Whole Foods.
Called three times to ask if there are any nuts in one of the pizzas. On the first call they started talking then left me on hold for 5 minutes and then hung up on me. Then the second time I called they immediately hung up. On the third time they answered but no one was talking. What kind of immature business practice is this. Unacceptable costumer service whoever answered the phones needs to be fired.
This Whole Foods is the WORST for selection of fresh produce and the food bar is HORRIBLE!!! Neither section is health or organic conscious, as most all other Whole Foods I have been in across the country are!Whole Foods needs to change this because this location doesnt have a good reputation!
If you have ever had sketchy lobster bisque from a diner that is nowhere near the ocean, you will have had better lobster bisque than is served here. It was like they just tossed any leftover veggie scraps they had on hand into the plastic container. Bisque should not be crunchy.
I really wish you guys would open a store in the Douglasville GA area. We dont have any good choices here even though it is a well populated area, and the organic food selections that we do have are so outrageous in price because the shops know we have no choice. Please come to Douglasville!!! 💐💐💐
I arrived two weeks in a row at 8 AM to get breakfast on the way to work. Both weeks there was either no food or very little food in the hot bar for breakfast and if there was food there were no utensils to serve it with. I had to leave both weeks without any food because I did not have enough time to wait around for whoever was putting the food out. And this week with about 6 to 8 people waiting, the man putting the food out was acting like it was nobody there moving very slowly!

2021-10-09They have this sign up everywhere in the beauty, vitamin, supplements section and yet only one that are on sale are the one that has sale sign on it. It confuses customers and I believe they are doing it intentionally. I even had item scanned and told me it would be discounted afterwards but learned that it didnt do that and end up not buying everything. Emplyees gave wrong info about the discount program and told me everything here is 25% off from discounted items. This is nothing but false advertising and scamming customers. Look at the supplements picture one sale sign, which I try to buy but wasnt discounted. Why would u put curcumin bottle showing and yet there is no discount? You go and try this see this fraud for yourself.

2020-10-31Good variety of fruits available here. They have good variety of hot foods and salads. They also have an Olive Bar. They also have a good selection of Seafood and Meat. This store is spacious and well maintained. Staff here is very friendly. Mask is compulsory for in store shopping and sanitizer is available at the entrance.

2022-03-06Produce was really poor at this store. I expect way better from WF. The limes were dry, the pineapple was sour AND dry and the vegetables were old. Step it up guys! I shop here and pay the price for superior quality. Still waiting on how the fish turns out.. will update. UPDATE: Fish was quite good but the produce was really bad

2021-03-06Bought a chocolate cake for birthday. Boy, was it loaded with SUGAR! Hey, Whole Foods, what about healthy eating? Maybe it’s organic sugar? Too much of of it will kill. I will properly discard. What a disappointment.

2021-12-25This is a large Whole Foods. The produce selection was great. The fruit looked colorful and fresh. There was a large selection of vegan items. The store is very clean. The line was very long and staff came to open additional registers. Then moved the people through quickly.

2022-02-05Set up a little different than my usual at Avalon but still found what I needed in short order. Plus they had a fully charged scooter when I needed one which makes a huge impact on my shopping experience.
