Upon entering the hotel the front desk lady was extremely rude. Acted like she couldnt be bothered to check us in. Then once in the room we noticed it was cleaned to the bare minimum and the baseboards were falling off. We had been traveling a long time so we just ignored it. I woke up in the middle of the night to use the restroom and when I turned on the light there was roaches everywhere! When we complained they basically just laughed and wrote it on a ripped piece of paper and said they spelled complaint and roaches wrong. I have a few videos of them running around the room and going under the chair and under the baseboards.
When we walked into the room, we noticed broken glass in the hall. The glass continued into the room throughout the carpet and was on the bathroom counter. It was clear they did not vacuum the room. The front desk clerk was understanding and let us check out. She needs a raise.
I’m here, right now, laying in my tiny bed with the sticky, stinky sheets, wondering why I ever booked a room here. When I checked in, we found out the elevator didn’t work so we have to trudge up 3 flights of stairs to get to our rooms, dodging the groups of teenagers smoking pot in the staircase. Arrived to my room and had to basically kick my door down to enter. Once in, 2 out the 4 lights were non functional, there are holes in the walls and the complete lack of a smoke detector. The shower was very gritty and smelled horrible, my A/C is louder than the tiny 20 year old TV can get, and I would throw away the moldy food left in the fridge from the last guests, but there is simply not a trash can in here either. The very ugly woman at the desk was no help, and after displaying concern at the lack of a smoke detector, reminded me to “Not smoke” in the room. I am appalled by the short few hours I have spent here and dread the night, please book a room anywhere else.
Terrible, terrible experience. Poor service, horrible employees. The receptionists are rude and unfriendly, they have no business in the hospitality business. Elevator was not working, hallway was dirty, noisy staff children in the boardroom across from the reception area, dripping water in the hallway, greasy and dusty furniture in the bedroom, TV reception poor and limited.Im thankful I didnt book more than one night here. I couldnt have survived 2 nights here. Met 2 different ladies at the front desk; one the night I arrived there, the other the next morning but the experience was still the same, which tells me its the culture at this place.Ill never recommend anyone stays here.
It seems pretty sad, covid must have hit these guys really hard, I stayed at the end of March 2022. The hotel was seriously in bad repair, there was a broken window with a cardboard box in it, our room had the smoke detector hanging from the wires, a towel stuffed in some sort of a hole, clock radio with no plug to go in the wall, the sink drain leaked and Im sorry to say that was just a blatantly obvious stuff. In the common areas only one of the elevators worked and it didnt sound so healthy, the gym was filled with landscaping material with a sign that said closed due to covid, water and juice machine, coffee machine all had closed due to covid signs on them. They still had Christmas decorations up, although they did try and turn their Christmas tree into a St Patricks Day tree it was still well after that date that I stayed anyways. I saw a picture of their pool come up in my feed and thats what really got me to write the review. The proximity to Six flags is great I just dont know that its worth all the disrepair.
Greeted by a front-desk person who had a gun hanging out in her coat pocket. She was not able to apply a discount I was told could be applied although I had not paid yet. I was placed between two rooms of very loud guests. Broken mirrors, hair on pillows, not the cleanest space. Ceiling falling apart in the entryway with wires hanging.
Place was dirty. We checked in and only got to stay for a small amount of time because check out was so dang early. Also the fact that we pay for the hotel and have to pay $10 for parking to go to the park WHICH IS A COMPLETELY DIFFERENT AREA is weird and scammy. Vending machines were down and giving wrong options.
The worst place to be ..im surprised they not shut down they have no ice machines elevator was broke. it smells like mold and pipes showing..I had got a suite and knowing me i look everywhere the closet the cabinet dead roaches then the bathroom towels had stains and then the bed wow the mattress was molded never will go there again. wish I can give them a 0 all the way around
What a dump. The first floor is flooded and they are taking zero efforts to mitigate it. The employees are GHETTO. The female’s fake nails were so long that she flicked my driver’s license back at me. There was a male in black jeans, black jacket, sunglasses, and gold teeth greeting people at the door. The “free breakfast” didn’t even have WATER. All the vending machines and ice machines are broken. The pool is DISGUSTING.
Stay away! They gave us the key, we got to the room and the floor was mess, the beds had no sheets nor pillows. We got back to front desk and the lady try to tell us to wait until they re-clean the room.Pool is dirty disgusting green, lobby has water leaking from the ceiling and floors are dirty.I wish I could give -1 star.
Very very unclean. Gross stain marks on the wall, carpet not completely vacuumed, hair in the bathtub, the wooden furniture were greasy. Housekeeping didn’t even to care to clean the bathroom washbasin before my check in which had a toothpaste drop from previous guest’s.Even though the breakfast is between 6-9 AM, it was not ready until 6:45 AM; that too after I requested the receptionist.
I had spent one night at the Wingate after Thanksgiving and it seemed a nice place. This time I spent four nights there and my mind was changed. This hotel is definitely not up to Wyndham standards. I am a Wyndham founder and VIP. The lobby was clean neat and well lit. When checking in I received a warm welcome and thought all was well. Upon entering my room I was surprised to find the skirt on the bed was hanging off. I sat down on the bed and noticed that the lamp shade was cracked and pieces missing on the inside and the clock was not working. I picked it up but did not see a plug for it. I did find it on the last day of my visit when I drop something behind the light stand and there it was along with a dirty sock and some type of vape machine. If first impressions are the most important this one left a very disconcerting one. I noticed that the microwave was sitting on the top of the mini fridge. This would not be so much of a problem except that when I did go to use it I had to nearly kneel to put the microwave dinner inside and there was no plate. Just the arms that support the plate. Okay not the best thing but not the worst thing. I went to turn on the television and the programs would not come on. I attempted to contact the front desk but after several tries gave up when no one answered the phone. Discovering I did not have a way to eat my meal with I went downstairs in search of a fork or spoon. The desk clerk was outside on her phone. I called the front desk from the lobby thinking she would come inside to answer but she did not. As it was raining and cold and I was not dressed for the outside I did not go out to ask her to help me. I waited a while and then began searching through the cabinets in the lobby and even went into the pantry in search of a fork or a spoon which I found. Later that evening I was able to reach the clerk at the desk and she said that the TV was out and that she had told someone about it the day before. I then discovered that the internet was also down. The cell phone reception was quite poor. I asked my son-in-law to get me some ice and he came back after a while and told me that the only ice machine that was working was on the 4th floor. I was located on the second floor. On the second day of my visit upon returning to the hotel the television actually worked. The internet was still in and out but I was able to make a few calls that evening. This did not extend to the third and fourth day. Once again the television went out and the internet was nearly non-existent. I had to check out early the night before I was scheduled to leave because of an emergency at home and the clerk who checked me out never even bothered to look up at me. I chose this hotel because it was close to my family and due to a medical condition I am unable to drive at this time. I will find another hotel the next time I visit rather than face the same disappointment that I experienced here.
I came for a retreat and a trip to 6 flags for my school. Unfortunately, we arrived at the hotel at night, and the lady at the desk was a little rude to the students walking in. Although she was nice to me, it still ruined the positive atmosphere. Also, as I walked to the elevator and went on, I noticed the elevator made sketchy noises, and it seemed like it was struggling to do its job. I walk into my room and attempt to turn on the light switch by the door. Unfortunately, it did not turn on, so I had to feel in the dark for the light switch in the bathroom. It was still dark, so I tried to switch on two more lamps, and they did not work either. Also, the smoke detector battery was chirping every ten seconds, so I thought that wasnt very pleasant. So I knew that they did not change the battery. There was a weird smell to the room, but that was not too much of a big deal. I proceed to take a shower, and I notice two long strands of black hair tangled in one of the towels. Another was on the back of the bathroom door. Im a germaphobe, so I was already ready to get out of the room. The remote control was sticky, the microwave was sticky, and even the desk was sticky. The only positive was that the bed was very comfortable. The morning came, and I could not open my door as I prepared to leave my room for breakfast. The door jammed! I had to call one of my friends and slide my key card under the door for her to let me out. Im not one to complain, so this is telling you something. It is a short distance from six flags, but if youre a really clean type of person (Shoot, even if youre not), I would not recommend this hotel.
Only thing good about this place is that it was perfect walking distance to Six Flags! The tv had no signal for the first 16 channels, girl at the check in desk said loudly and ghetto ion know what to tell you, i do not work for direct tv. Oh what great customer service 🙄, The elevator sounded like it was on its very last leg. The mattress had a permanent dent where everyone has laid at. Definitely need some upgrades for the price!
We booked 2 rooms, and the lock on one of them had a dead battery and couldnt get in. They had no additional room, and the poor girl left alone here at night had no idea what to do. She tried over and over to call the manager on duty, who wouldnt pick up the phone or respond to any texts. So 7 of us had to sleep in one room with only 2 beds. No maintenance to fix the door, no rollaway beds, the front desk didnt have any extra pillows or soap. Only 1 extra blanket and a derelict manager. I cannot recommend this hotel to anyone.
We were on our Honeymoon. The girl that checked me in was just short of rude. So up to the room we go. The elevator was noisy and struggled to make it to the 3rd floor. The first thing was about our room was an odd smell upon opening the door. The smoke detector was dangling from the wall with a grocery bag tied around it (Fire Code Violation should have been reported by housekeeping) so I was moved. Oh good, the smoke detector was in place but the floor was so sticky from door to bed that you could hardly walk and a roach crawling across the floor. This is worse! Move again and the smoke detector is completely missing and the room condition was in need of attention. It is now an hour into the already late night so reluctantly we stayed. DONT STAY HERE! You pay resort prices for substandard conditions. We could have stayed at a hotel just 2 miles away for less than half the price, But I wanted this night to be memorable. Accomplished!!! Just not the honeymoon night experience that I was hoping for! I will never stay in any Wyndham Hotel again!!!
If you are not picky about the cleanliness and want to stay on a very tight budget, this could be an option. We booked three rooms and they were infested with roaches. The little ones. They were everywhere, including walls. Vending machines were broken during our one night stay so make sure to bring your own water, snacks, etc. AC was very loud and pillows could have been better. I have definitely been in cheap, similar places, and at least this one did not have any major important broken things. All locks were working and the area was quiet at night. Two full beds in the basic rooms, so two medium complexion couples or one couple with two kids should be fine with one room, what makes it affordable for a road trip, for example.
We chose this hotel for the easy walk to six flags.. but it is not worth $132 a night. If you can find it for cheaper, like some websites or deals let you book it, then Id say its worth it for the convenience to the park.. the walk is more like a 4 minute walk at a healthy pace (rather than a 9 minute walk.) With this being said, The elevators did not work. This is annoying after coming back from walking miles at the park. There is no lobby restroom, nor even trashcan available in the lobby or outside. Vending machines are available and everything is $2. At the park drinks are $6 so Im pleased with the machines at Wingate. There was water dripping down from leaks in the lobby onto towels that the staff placed there. Was told that the pool was just cleaned, and theyre waiting for one more thing to be done before its opened up for use. We were on the second floor and the ice machines are on 1st and 4th so this made it extra to even get a bag of ice filled. The mattresses on the beds were pretty decent to sleep on, but the room is dated overall. No bugs or anything found dirty in the room other than the floor. I attached pictures to show some pretty visible crumbs.. having worked in hotels, every room should be properly vacuumed after each guest. So this is a bit of an over sight.. Another thing was that the shampoo and conditioner had been previously used. They werent sealed and were partially empty. The sink had a faulty handle that had been obviously replaced before. Everything is moderately decent here, but I cant give 3 stars due to too many issues that pile up overall that were inconveniencing. I would stay again, and call to ask if the pool and elevator were operable... just for the location. But, if it werent for the location proximity to six flags, i definitely would not.
Had a reservation at this location. The Hotel called me and cancelled my reservation 2 hours before check-in. The reason was that they only had one house-keeper. There was a baseball tournament in town, so it was next to impossible to find other accommodations. Most of the other Hotels had no vacancies. I spoke to an employee and also the Manager. Neither were very sympathetic and both responded rudely. Why couldnt the manager or the clerk assist the housekeeper with preparing the rooms? If they had given my the sheets, pillowcases, etc., I would have cleaned my own room. I travel for business and stay primarily at Wyndham properties. Never again. I am cashing in my 140,000 reward points and never staying in a Wyndham owned facility again. Choose this location at your own risk.
This place needs to be closedShowerhead was brokenAC unit was very loud after running so long Vending machines brokenUpon arrival the front desk agent didn’t say anything the pool and elevator being brokeCable was not currently working for the 3 nights of my stay it was not worth my money at all
Lobby clean and receptionist nice. Carpet on 3rd floor needed vacuumed as papers were on floor. Ice machine on floor broken. Drink machine not working on floor due to Covid.Room: Bathroom clean except light over sink slightly dirty. Microwave missing a knob. Smoke Detector disconnected from wall and totally missing from room. Window curtain has large tear. Air conditioner/Heater did not work and room was very hot and uncomfortable. Had a rough night sleeping.. Night stand handle missing screw. Couch and head board on bed looked worn and well used.
The manager and staff was very nice. Im giving them a 3 star because the elevator broke down soon after arriving and our room was on the 3rd floor. So yep stairs it was for 2 days. Also, I was told that the breakfast would be IF or whatever some lady brought in. We slept in since breakfast wasnt a guarantee!!
When we arrived to our room it hadn’t been cleaned. The beds were nasty, garbages in the room were full and some brown liquid in the bathroom sink. Also seen a roach crawling around! My husband went to the front desk to discuss the issue and we never once were offered any money back for the trouble. I don’t see how such a disgusting, unorganized place can even be in business.
We rented this room so that we could avoid traffic on a Monday morning and enjoy 6 flags without having to drive In morning traffic. To be fair we arrived around midnightTo be fair we arrived around midnight on Sunday. We slept until about 8am. It was in the six flags parking lot. I know that there was some renovations going on. Everyone was pleasant and the room served its purpose.
Absolutely horrendous experience, if this could be a negative 5 star I would put that.Is not worth the few extra steps you save walking to six flags.Like so many others have reviewed and stated you pay top prices for a substandard hotel experience, 130+ a night. I was wondering how in the world are they even operating and it became very clear when we arrived to check in and everything went to craptastic. They use the parking lot as extra parking and charge 10.00 for cars to park there. And when we got there to check in at 3:00 there wasn’t one spot left and they were stacking cars one behind the other like sardines. They wont even check you in at 2:59, no early check ins ( huh sounds like because they only want to make that parking money ) even if you are one min from 3:00. So it doesn’t matter what the condition of the building is in, because they are banking every day on all the people parking day in and day out. I’m a builder and there are so many red structural flags with this building I’m amazed it’s still in operation and legal to allow people to walk in the foyer.Seriously for your own safety and well being DO NOT STAY HERE.Spend a few extra mins driving to the park and pay the parking fee; 1000% worth it in the long run.
The staff at the front desk was awesome. I wasn’t aware the pool was down or that the breakfast wasn’t closed until arrival. Didn’t see where the website stated these two things as being closed. Far as the room there was hair in the tub, trash and crumbs on in the floor and in the dresser drawers. The hotel is in a great location far as walking distance to six flags.
Stay Date: 5/31-6/2Pros:* So close to six flags you can walk. Only .25 miles of walking to get to the gate. Not bad. You save $25 or so on parking.* Rooms are relatively clean.* Outside of general Atlanta traffic mayhem.Cons:* -ALL- ice machines in the hotel were down the time of my stay. We could not refill our cooler, add ice to drinks, etc.* No complimentary breakfast.* All computers, exercise rooms, etc were closed due to covid (In spite of the disease not spreading by touch easily and other establishments opening these features).* Cable was out in room during the entire stay. Fortunately, the wifi (Which was not password protected) was available, and watching TV was not the focus of our trip.* Laundry available was limited due to covid for whatever reason.Neutral Comments:* Staff was not particularly courteous, but not explicitly rude.* We were not murdered in our sleep.* I did not find any bedbugs.* Neighbors were not particularly loud.Would I stay here again? I suppose. I definitely expected more and it seemed as though they were cutting costs with COVID as some bogus reason to do so. I was dissapointed with that.
Do not recommend!!! Tried 2 rooms on 2 floors both floors smelled like weed. Half the lights didnt work. Elevator got stuck between 3rd and 4th floor and the other Elevator didnt work at all. Security cameras were just hanging from the walls watching the floor. And was missing ceiling tiles on every floor. I will never stay here again
The lady at the front desk was very rude and not very engaging at all. The attitude was so nasty all together. I do not plan on returning to this hotel at all. my husband and i were highly disappointed. If you do not serve breakfast due to covid then put a sign up stating that.
Worst costumer service ever. DONT Waste your time booking they called and canceled my stay. Said they don’t have enough staff. I was traveling back home with my small children I booked this hotel before I left where I was staying and on my there i got the call. That they had to cancel my reservation. I tried to explain I was on the road driven already and could not call around or look up any where else and to not cancel me she hung up on me. My 1 and 3 year old and I had no where to stay. I would just STAY AWAY from this hotel. Then my mom was trying to help me for home and she was able to book this same hotel for the same night online and on Expedia. I don’t understand?
Not Damn Pleasant. Booked (2) Rooms. A/C & TV not operation in one of the rooms. The TV in the other room was not operational.Hotel was unable to accommodate more suitable rooms for my family. Hotel was unable to refund my money.Rooms were unsuitable so I had to make accommodationst to stay at another hotel establishment.Having to go through a long drawn out process to try to get my refund back. Issue has not yet been resolved.Total inconvenience & financial stress to my family. DO NOT STAY HERE!!
Terrible hotel when we check into anywhere we will be sleeping we find the fire escapes they had every door except the front door locked we refused to stay. The hotel is also under construction which is when fires happen. I went back the next day to make sure I was going to get my money back and stated that part of my job is to look at that kind of stuff and the lady at the front threatened me saying she works for the federal courts and she could prosecute me for impersonation. I not once said I was there to inspect them just made it known that I know that having fire exits blocked is definitely not okay. They also wanted to argue that the door was actually not locked so I went and videoed the door locked to show her. She still denied it! Horrible place don’t stay if you want to survive a possible fire. Would give zero stars if possible.
We tried 2 rooms, both were disgusting. The first room has blood on the side of the bathtub, the trash from the prior guest was not changed, a broken lock, stained furniture and sheets. The second was not cleaned before we were sent to it, the bed had dirt and a pair of ladies underwear in it, the mirror had someones phone number written on it, the previous guests mustve had a party they left the thumbtacks behind, some in the walls with decorations attached and some randomly distributed through the room and the furniture and was dirty and stained. The elevators were not operational and the stairwell had random people just hanging out. We didnt stay, we found a hotel about 10 mintutes away that was a lot cleaner. We tried to get a refund but the desk clerk wasnt sure how to refund the room, so the charges are being disputed. The location would have been ideal to walk to 6 flags, but its just as easy to hop in the car and drive there.
Rooms are disgusting. Literally stains on couch chairs and walls. Cable didn’t work. Reached out to the front desk twice and she stated “tech was currently working on it”. Well to my surprise it was never fixed. Also when booked it advertises coffee and breakfast. They are not offering any of the above because of Covid yet the three other wingates I’ve stayed in this month around the Atlanta area are…. Overall awful experience in general. Would never stay here again. Not sure how this place is a “three star”. More like a one star motel.
Hotel definitely needs work done to it. Everything in the hotel is outdated and old, and the rooms have a horrible smell. We woke up to killing several roaches, and when we informed the lady at the front desk she didn’t seem to care at all. Beds are super uncomfortable and small. Will not be staying again.
All was OK - Electricity went out on the last day of our stay. Front desk could not tell us anything. We had a baby with us - we could not wait for electricity to come back on. It was cold and her bottles had to be refrigerated. We asked for a discount to help with payment for another hotel for the night. No discount was given!!! I was told it was not their issue - it was not the customers issue either. Plus the other hotels in the area had electricity. I feel some type of accommodation should have been given to everyone.
Horrible experience! Elevator does not work, pool is nasty. Literal ducttape holding up things in the bathroom. No sheets blankets or pillows available for the pull-out couch. No extra towels available. Customer service really needs work! Only perk is soooo close to park.
First of all the two people at the front desk were both new and didn’t have any idea what they were doing. Took me over an hour just to get into a room. Which was extremely frustrating since it was after 2 am that they finally figured it out. They also have a sign in their lobby that states complimentary breakfast is served from 6am-9am. When we went down to get breakfast before going over to six flags, we didn’t see any food in the breakfast area at all. When we asked they said they don’t do that. Half of their vending machines didnt even work. It took over 2 1/2 hours to receive the towels we had requested. They over charged my card. Just extremely unprofessional all the way around. If you’re going to have people running your hotel please properly train your employees to handle the basics like signing in a guest. The hotel elevator was not even working and when a guest asked for a room on the first floor, due to the elevator being broken, because her so was in a walking boot they had nothing to offer her. Informed her all their handicap rooms are on the 2-4th floor. Basically told her there’s nothing they can do that he’ll have to walk up the stairs. Even though this hotel was conveniently close to the park we were going to i would have rather had a further drive at at better managed hotel than this one.
Looked nice. But the moment I walked in the lady at the counter was eyeing me up and down and before I could sit down from the heat outside she asked me what I was doing. I said( is okay if can sit down for a couple minutes..) and before I could finish my sentence to let her know I was waiting on the rest of my group to book all our rooms. She told me to leave. So I did. Her body language told me everything I need to know. The lady at the counter needs better training and to respect other people. I would understand if I was there for a while doing nothing but basically the moment I walked in there I was already kicked out. I was covered in sweat from the heat outside couldn’t stand waiting outside plus with jacked up leg that I have drag around I really need a small rest. Theres disable people like me who can’t wait in the heat to long so fix your workers or have a waiting room for guest outside if we can’t wait inside.
This place had the best thing you could want when doing a reasonably priced family trip to Six flags Ga. The staff was pleasant, property was, and clean. The pool wasnt open, but they were draining it when I was there. Saving the best for last! Location! Location! Location! You and your party will be able to easily walk to the park.
We went to this hotel because the original one we booked was HORRIBLE (Super 8 Six Flags). The service was excellent and the entire facility was very clean!! We will definitely be staying here again for our next trip. The room was walking distance to the Six Flags park and we could actually see the rollercoasters from our window.
Hotel under renovation, there was trash all over parking lot and trashcan in hotel where full. Hallways were dirty . No breakfast due to low staff. Pool was dirty. The beds are very uncomfortable and small (you only get 1 pillow person. ) AC was broken in room and manager was no help. Wouldnt recommend the stay to anyone. We got it because it was close to sixflags but not worth paying over $100 a night. WE CHECKED OUT EARLY.
I was very happy with my stay at this hotel! Our room was very clean, we got in pretty late so we were exhausted and as soon as we walked in and saw how nicely made the bed was and very cozy we were so relieved. it was exactly what we needed after a long day of traveling they were very accommodating welcoming and polite! 😁🤗🤓
I was treated horribly by the staff here! In particular Sherene Ali. (First name might be spelled wrong). From the time that I entered the front door there was a problem. I had traveled with my two kids and was extremely tired and had to use the bathroom. She advised that there was none downstairs due to COVID-19. I asked was there something that I could do to get to the bathroom ASAP. She was rude and said no. Next, I had my 11 month old who was in a stroller she advised my room was up two flights of stairs and the elevator was down. I asked her how could I possibly get up the stairs with two children a stroller plus luggage. She stated she didn’t know and it wasn’t her fault that someone stuck something in the elevator very rudely! She then said I can cancel your room. I asked if I would get a refund she explained she didn’t know. I asked why would I cancel and not be sure about my funds. I ended up putting the stroller in the car and going back in to Check-in and use the restroom. I get to the room and it’s filthy, not wiped down spots on the bed throw up splashed on the door. I called the site that I Had booked through to ask for a refund she contacted the front desk and told them she would not refund anything because she offered that before I went to the room which I did not know it was dirty and I also didn’t know if I would get my refund back I don’t have money to throw away. The Wyndham Hotel Groups employee that cold on my behalf stated that she was rude with them and would not be willing to refund anything. I worked for Wyndham for 4 1/2 years At the corporate office in Orlando They were always big on providing world-class service this was not what I received on that day. Because she advised that I would not get a refund I went downstairs to inquire why she refused to talk to me said I’m not going up there to clean anything I checked the room before you came and made her other coworker go do the work this lady did acknowledge that there was something over the door and that she had wiped it off. As I am downstairs disputing the fact that I can’t get a refund another angry customer walks in and ask for a refund because of the treatment that she received as well they were no clean towels no cleaning rags several guess came and asked while I was there this is not the way a Wyndham and it’s quite embarrassing honestly. Once I began To complain about the issues she asked for a voucher which she had not asked for at the time of arrival and told me that if I did not have a voucher she would not give me the keys back to the room and which I had paid and checked in. She didn’t threaten to call the police on me because I want to record the interaction for my complaint. I no longer work for Wyndham however I did have a friends and family voucher that I had left behind. As you can see it’s a lot to type I would really like to speak to someone because someone of her caliber should not be working front desk I advised her that her customer service skills we’re not present she told me neither were mine. She is a real liability to the company denied to go clean a room that was dirty mirror dresser door everything.
The pool stayed closed becuase the manager was to lazy to open it, no kind of room.service at all for over 2 nights. Called for towels and had to wait hours. Door knobs hanging off, water spots in the ceiling about to bust, manager stays high and very hateful (lisa arnold).
Most important thing to me is cleaningless...No roaches...no bedbugs. The manager Lisa was very accommodating and went the extra mile to give great customers support. My room..towels..sheets where clean..as was my bathroom and other areas. One minor incident and it was taken care immediatelyBest affordable hotel around that area.
I was hopeful about this hotel knowing that the rate was really low, but my experience was far below my expectations, which was already low.The first room we obtained was filthy. There was dust and dirt everywhere. The mirror and refrigerator had not been wiped down and even the hangers were dusty. When I went to the front desk to ask for a new room, I was greeted with an eye roll and could tell that I was not the only one with this issue after speaking with others in the lobby. The two alternative rooms were not better at all.I was informed that they could not keep giving me keys to look for a clean room and that I could not obtain a refund. I had no choice but to take the cleanest of the three rooms we were able to look at. The attitude kept getting worse, probably because they only had one person on duty that was handling a lobby full of people with issues. I booked through a service and when they tried to help out, they told me that they were hung up on repeatedly. To make matters worse on the second day, the housekeeper only left one towel for a family of four and when we asked for more towels, we never received them. We also asked for a replacement pillow, which took three hours to receive. One of the elevators was out of order and the other felt like it was going to go into a free-fall at any moment.By reading other reviews, which you should, I feel that I should have passed on this hotel and will think about booking with Wingate in the future.
HORRIBLE! DO NOT STAY AT THIS HOTEL! Even though it is close to Six Flags it is not worth it. Very rude staff. (Except for one sweet housekeeping) Management was extremely rude and unhelpful. Charged my card multiple times so definitely check your account. Entire hotel was filthy. The only nice part was stairwell which you will definitely want to use because you risk your life on the elevator. Only one elevator barely works and inspection was expired. There is NO WAY it would pass inspection. Our room wasn’t ready until after midnight the first night and they were extremely rude when we asked for towels because we had none. We ended up leaving early and moving to another hotel
I was disappointed when I arrived to find that the elevators were not working, no breakfast was being served and to find the facility in disrepair. My first room was not cleaned at all. My second room was better but still not freshly cleaned. Also the tub faucet did not work properly. I ended up cleaning the room myself.
Zero stars if i could this place was horrible. Had to switch rooms twice because the first had bed bugs. The second one had a dirty bathroom, and almost everything( the mini fridge, ice machine, drink machine, and elevator)was broken. And not to mention they ran out of towels. My first trip ever out of town and the hotel was disappointing. Place needs to be shut down.
The hotel was horrible the elevator sounded like it was about to break down. The floor was dirt. The fourth floor smelt like weed The room next was smoking weed and it was coming into our room. The ceiling was missing in some parts. Honestly it doesnt even deserve one star. It was horrible
THE GOOD: It was walking distance to Six Flags, probably closer to the entrance than the actual Six Flags parking..... Yeah, thats all of the good.THE BAD: The hotel had one elevator working, which scraped the entire way up and down. No surprise, the inspection was expired. The room had multiple stains everywhere. There was not an iron, nor ironing board. The pillows may have fit half of the pillow cases, one bed did not have a blanket, the sink was cracked, and there was mold in the bathroom.Breakfast was inedible. I literally almost threw up, and I have rated some pretty bad stuff before.Need help? Good luck! The staff was less than attentive. After staying the first night, we enjoyed our day out. Upon returning, our towels were still on the floor and beds were unmade. We attempted to call the front desk, but there was no answer. We went to the front desk and found the reason we did not receive and answer was because the front desk employee was sitting at a table, on her laptop. We told them it was unacceptable and asked for towels. They immediately said they couldnt give us a discount, because there was not a manager on duty. We explained we werent asking for a discount, we were asking for towels, because we had been at Six Flags all day and needed showers. The next day, guess what? No towels again. We went to the front desk, because, of course, they would not answer the phone. We were told the did not have any towels available at the front desk, but would contact house keeping. Forty five minutes later we called the front desk and let it ring until it was answered. We were told he had been unable to contact house keeping. Fifteen minutes later, the guy from the front desk showed up with towels. This one is a no for me in the future.
Room was clean and well maintained. However, were 4 adults in our stay, and they had only stocked 1 roll of toilet paper and only 2 towels. Sitting in the lobby, youll see people repetitively coming to the help desk asking for more toilet paper and towels. On a brighter note, the breakfast was delicious and varied. The free WIFI was a nice touch as well. Overall, not bad for just an overnight stay.
DO NOT RECOMMEND STAYING HERE!! FIND ANOTHER HOTEL NEAR SIX FLAGS!My daughter stayed here this weekend with around 200 other students who had travelled to Atlanta to represent their school at a music festival. They came home winning silver but thoroughly disgusted with their hotel stay at this property! The bathrooms and rooms were not cleaned, beds never remade nor were there clean towels. There were multiple bugs in the bath tub as well according to my daughter. These rooms had been booked months in advance and the group even checked in late due to transportation issues and yet the rooms were not ready on check in.This was a large group booking with so many children and should’ve been looked into with great care. Many of the children had to sleep on the floor!! This was after paying the price for a bed to sleep in. Credit card information of many of the teachers was compromised and students reported missing items. There has been no follow up from the hotel to resolve any of this. All in all, a terrible experience. The matter will be reported to the Wyndham corporate office for their shoddy management, upkeep and servicing of this property. If we could give this no stars, we would.
Checked in fine and only stayed for 3 nights. First night was fine. When we got back the next night from six flags (right around the corner so we enjoyed the walk) our door was left cracked open by the cleaning crew. Nothing that I know of was taken because we didnt leave valuables in our room. It was safer in our vehicle. But the last morning we stayed my boyfriend had to flick a bug off of the bed sheet I was covering with. Wasnt a bed bug or roach but idk what it was. I wouldnt really recommend but it was ok I guess. The room was always clean so it wasnt too bad. Cant help bug that other people probably brought in anyway. Also the fire alarms and the sprinklers were covered by tape which I dont think is safe. And there was only one elevator
The staff was phenomenal, from the lady at the front desk, to the lady working the breakfast buffet. Very professional, kind, and courteous. The room was nice. The only complaint I have was that the pillows were not very comfortable and the bath tub was pretty dirty. I did not complain because I was only staying one night. I would stay again, I just hope I dont have a dirty tub.
Dirty sheets laying on the floor for hours! Breakfast is from 6am-9am. It would be a lot better if it was extended until at least 10am. Breakfast is not bad, but what had me concerned is I saw something crawling on the wall and it crawled behind the bed before I was able to double check what exactly I just saw. Another thing, dont take off your shoes in the rooms. The carpet feels really dirty! Ow yeah, the lady at the front desk was actually really friendly and welcoming.
This hotel was not what we expected. It looked awesome online & sure the free breakfast was good. Our room would not get cold, the hallway & the elevator were HOT as hell. We stayed there because of its convenient location to the places where we were going but my make-up & hair were NOT having it. The price was not right. I literally would not move just so I would stay cool or not sweat. I dont ever post negative reviews but this one was one I was not happy with. Thank goodness I drank enough while we were out so that I would be able to sleep.
This hotel deserves zero stars. This hotel was very disappointing. As soon as I waked in the room with my family, my daughter spotted a roach in the bathroom. My husband opened the refrigerator and roaches were in there as well. The inside of the rooms look nothing like the picture do on the internet. I would definitely stop in and view before I book this hotel if I were you. The smell in the hotel is very dissatisfying as well. This hotel gave the Wyndham Brand a very bad look to it. I won’t ever book here again. Needless to say I checked right back out and found a more suitable, and comfortable place to sleep for my family. During these crucial COVID-19 times, they should be taking way better precautions with keeping things clean.
Don’t stay at this hotel!!My room was filthy. The sheets on the bed had hair and stains on them. The room had fumes from where they had refinished the bathtub. The bathtub was sticky to the touch because the finish had not dried completely. Refrigerator did not work. Food crumbs and debris on the side and back of nightstand. Dead bugs in the room. The staff at the front desk was unprofessional. Supposedly the front desk took down my compliant and manager was supposed to call me. Still have not heard from management. When trying to call the hotel directly no one answers the phone. I will never stay at this hotel again.
Terrible! Filthy place. Rooms were not clean. Floor sticky. Drapes falling from the windows. Window seals dirty. Bathroom mirror dirty. Very Dusty. Housekeeper did not leave us towels on the second day after taking all of our dirty towels. Elevator sounded like it was going to quit at any moment. One elevator was already broke. Hall ways were dirty; looked as if they hadn’t been vacuumed in weeks. Do yourself a favor and pay the extra bucks for a better hotel; this hotel is garbage. I have pictures to prove it!
Front desk was very helpful and informative. Lobby and sitting area very clean. 1 of 2 washers and 1 of 3 dryers out of service. The room had hair on the tub and a used bar of soap in it. The mini fridge wasnt cleaned and food was left inside. Went to plug in my charger behind the nightstand and the outlet was coming out of the wall, and the area was very dirty.
Appears to be clean but.... after being here for one night we realized we wanted our five year old to have his own bed. They dont have a roll-away bed(understandable), but also no extra towels, no extras pillows, no extra sheets or blankets, and the air conditioner is barely keeping up with keeping our room cool. Not to mention the attitude from the front desk like who am I to expect more towels and pillows. I have stayed at more hotels than I can count on my fingers and toes. I have always been able to go to the front desk and request these things without issues. For what we are paying to stay here I thought they would be better than this. We are going to make a formal complaint with Wyndham.Gave them three stars because it is clean. Just not very accommodating.
This was by far the WORST hotel I have ever stayed in. My room was 419 on the 4th floor. When we walked into the room, I was overcome with a sense of uneasiness. The room was frigid and it just felt downright bad. It was clear the room had not been properly cleaned, and that was proved once we discovered the beds. The pillows were being eaten away by mold. I still remember the look of horror on my friends faces when I found mold on every last pillow in our room. Just when I thought things couldnt get worse, a spider crawled out of my pillow. We didnt have pillows for the first night there, so we slept on a cold mattress with nothing to rest our heads upon. The manager gave us fresh pillows, which was very kind. I would give her 5 stars for being kind and trying so hard. The bathroom was as bad as the beds. The towels were already in a nasty looking heap when we got there, and there was a crusty looking washcloth on the floor. The minibar had a half empty (or half full?) bottle of Dr. Pepper inside. Not only was our room bad, the staff was too. There was a creepy dude hanging out in the halls, mumbling on his phone. Some people heard him saying some pretty disturbing things. I thought he was a guest, but turns out he works there! I felt even more unsafe. Also, there was only like 3 people working there. The place was just so off. The only good thing about this place was their breakfast. The location was great but the hotel was just so bad. Other people had horrible experiences too. %40 of our group didnt even have a room to stay in. Multiple valuables were stolen from rooms and have not been found. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. I could go on forever, but I think this gives you the idea.
The lady at the front desk was rude! My cousins and I came in politely to sit down to wait for our ride. The receptionist says “you came in here and sat down without asking me!” We then asked if we can have a seat for a minute. She replied with, “No you can’t”. She didn’t even great us nor was respectful like we were to her! Kids waiting for a ride and she replies with that.
I wish I could give this place a zero, because my experience in this hotel was REALLY bad. I was on a Band/Orchestra/Choir trip, and we went to this hotel, because it was closer to six flags, and to the place we were performing. We arrived late because of complications from the buses, which gave them more time to clean the rooms, and get things prepared for us! When we checked in, I was tired, and have to get ready at the crack of dawn to perform. My group was waiting for our room which shouldnt been a minute, but it took almost an hour!! We had a room, but all of a sudden we dont!!, and it wasnt just us, dozens of groups didnt have a room to stay in. The other groups that did have a room, couldnt even get in their room, because the key card didnt work! Once we got our room, I felt uneasy when we entered, the room didnt seem clean, and the bed was quite messy, and it was also missing some pillows, but what was worse about our hotel room was the bathroom. The shower had a weird stench, and there was some type of black substance, and hair in the bathtub. The breakfast staff were very nice people, but the food was not so nice. The waffle/pancake machines didnt work, the sausage, and eggs were not edible. Some of my friends had a much terrible experience then me, because there rooms, had urine/blood stains in the bed, chairs, wall, carpet, everywhere!! Some of the students items got stolen. There was an employ saying disturbing things about the girls in the trip ( There were girls in 8/ 7/5th grade in this trip!! ) Overall I had a bad experience in this hotel, and I do NOT recommend this hotel to anyone.
This hotel was not very good. The service was poor, even though we had booked rooms ahead of time they did not have rooms ready when we arrived 30 minutes late. Several items were stolen. Room service was not good and did not come by. The rooms were dirty and needed repair. The shower did not work properly. Several students in my school reported hearing a hotel employee making creepy or inappropriate comments in the night. There were hundreds of dead bugs in the window seal. The list goes on but I will leave it at that. The only good thing about the hotel was the ready availability of breakfast and the proximity and convenience to six flags. I do not suggest this hotel and believe that getting a hotel further from the park, despite the distance would be better.
I recently paid for my daughter to stay at this hotel while on a school trip. She contacted me when they arrived to tell me that hotel was not prepared for their arrival, in spite of reservations made well in advance. They were supposed to compete in a music competition at 7:30 am, but many of the kids didn’t get to bed until 1 am because of the lack of preparation for their reservations, and deplorable conditions. My daughter told me that the fold out sofa in the room had dirty linens still on it and had, “really gross stuff, mom I don’t want to say.”She sent me a photo a friend took of where she ended up sleeping - on a dresser. She let her friends take the relatively cleaner bed.The school band director has used this hotel in the past with no issues at all, and felt comfortable returning. We trusted this hotel with our return business, but more importantly, the health and safety of our CHILDREN.Our school, and its families, will never be back.I can only speak to what my daughter reported to me, but if you read the other reviews, you will find even more disconcerting details, including theft and harassment of the children. This is completely UNACCEPTABLE.
This was a horrible experience. I went with my school band and stayed for two nights. When we arrived, half of the keys did not even work. This suspicious guy was on the phone and offered to help us open our room, so we let him use the all room key. These people can sneak into our room at night, and guess what? THEY SNUCK INTO OUR BAND TEACHERS ROOM AND COMPROMISED HIS CREDIT CARD!!! That night, the halls were in havoc with people who couldnt get into their rooms. The next morning, I went to take a shower and the handle came off when I moved it, so I had to put it back on. After my shower, my friend tried to dry her hair and the dryer did not work. I went downstairs to eat breakfast and there was no yogurt. At every other hotel I have went to eat breakfast there was yogurt. That was just a minor complaint, but it still adds up. One elevator was out of order and the other one always stopped at the third floor even though there was nobody there. That consistently happened every time I went down. My friend told me that one of the two employees went into their room and made them feel uncomfortable. They said something that I wont mention. I also heard that some peoples beds had blood in them, some windows were broken, there were stains on some curtains, and there was beer in fridge (keep note that this was a school trip). Needless to say, I am not staying here again and I want my money back!Another person at this hotel who stayed with me said said that this hotel was horrendous and did not meet the standards of the Health Organization.Make sure to read the most recent reviews because my band director went here six months ago and it was wonderful, but now it is horrible!DO NOT GO HERE! YOU WILL NOT ENJOY IT!
Idk where to even start with this hotel…it was terrible all around the fridge in the room smelled horrible and was turned off the air conditioning didn’t hardly work the hotel was under “renovation” the parking lot lighting is sketchy to say the least sure it’s right next to the park but not at all worth the stay..or the money ive been trying for 2 weeks now to get my money back on the night I didn’t stay but had booked everytime I call the manager is conveniently not there and it’s always someone “new” at the front desk they were nice but absolutely no help at all!!! Avoid this hotel! And not to mention that when I let the hound lady at the desk know I was checking out the next morning my name conformation number nothing could be found that I even stayed there that night!!! Something is definitely off about this hotel
I would have to say this is one of the worst hotels I have ever stay in. I don’t know where to start because the experience was terrible! When my family and I arrived and checked into this hotel it was raining and we had been on the road for several hours and was wanting to get checked in and settled into the room. Upon walking into the room it was very cold and as I continued to inspect and look around, I walked into the bathroom where I was greeted by a dirty nasty tub, shower head and the inside of the tub was peeling. The walls inside of the shower had other guest hair still left there and the towels had other guest hairs left in them. After inspecting the bathroom I thought to myself if the bathroom is that nasty let me look at the beds. It just kept getting wrist and wrist as I found multiple stains on the sheets, comforters, and walls. As I peeled the layers of sheets on the bed it was also riddled with pervious guest hair. At that point I had seen enough and went down to the front desk to report the poor housekeeping. The front desk person tried to fixed the problem by moving me and my family to another room and after looking at the second room it looked like the room I was complaining about so when I went back to the front desk and told him that the room he was trying to switch me and my family to looked the same as the first room if not worst. After that he tried to switch us to a third room and that room looked just like the last two rooms, at this point I am furious and told my husband in the morning I wanted to check out even though we booked this hotel for a two night stay. Unfortunately calling around trying to book another hotel was not in our favor because there was an event here this weekend and All of the hotels are booked so we were stuck with this hotel. I could go on and on about this ran down hotel but what I will say is DO NOT book this hotel because it is over priced for what you will receive and you will be highly disappointed in your stay!
While we had a nice time and the staff we encountered was nice, I am giving it 3 stars for a few reasons. One the hotel can use a major upgrade, the room and the hotel is outdated for the price we paid. Only one elevator worked, there was a leak in the roof on the first floor, the bed and pillows were not very comfortable. There was no clock in the room and the TV was positioned awkwardly in the corner. I didnt realize they were that close to Six Flags although we werent going there. The place seemed empty for the time we were there compared to the hotel down the road. I am not sure if I would use this place again.
Close proximity to Six Flags. No parking required you can walk from the hotel. Breakfast was great to see the kids before the park. Rooms were clean and the AC worked fine. They are double beds, but advertised as such. Positive experience for us. Would stay here again. Not a five star hotel, but they arent trying to be one.
Writing this on behalf of my wife’s recent stay with her sister and our daughter. First off, this hotel is not a safe place to leave valuable items in one’s luggage. My sister-in-law’s luggage was broken into, and a substantial amount of money was stolen. The hotel reception was not professional at all, and the manager refused to speak with my family, even after a police report was submitted at the hotel with the proper officials. The breakfast was horrible, because of the quality of food items (eggs were the worst ever had in the words of my sister-in-law ), and the layout was confusing (bread was not collocated with the toaster). The only quality of this hotel that warrants the obligatory Google issued one star, is that the facility was clean.
If I could give it a negative review I would. This place was horrible. We were supposed to have Queen beds and got Doubles. One of the beds had a comforter and the other had only a thin sheet. The sheets were itchy. The bathroom had no exhaust fan. The beds were not comfortable at all. It was super hot in the hallway and the rooms were ice cold. The elevator was hot and smelled horrible. The staff wasnt much help. The price was DEFINITELY not worth it. After taxes it was $106. I would have rather slept in a tent for that price. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE AT ALL!!!!
The staff at the front desk were super nice. That was really the only thing I enjoyed about this stay. Our room was old and dirty. You would be able to see the grossness in a yellow chair and on the footstool if my pics werent deleted every time I post them. There was also spittle on the bathroom sink and chewed gum in the bathtub. I cleaned the bathroom myself because there was no point in asking housekeeping to do it. This hotel being so close to Six Flags pretty much guarantees steady business Im sure, but will not be one I ever visit again.
Room was fairly clean. A little dust around and the paint was peeling in the bathroom just a little from a lack of bathroom fan. But overall pretty good. Breakfast was just ok. Waffles were good but the eggs tasted pretty bad. Service was great. We arrived late at night and were able to be checked in quickly. Odd thing though, the room we booked online wasnt available when we arrived only about an hour later. We were given the choice of 2 rooms so no big deal. Over all fine place.
Cheap hotel and close to Six Flags which we loved. We werent expected a 5 star service but we definitely expected more than 1 facecloth for our Friday-Sunday stay. We got there on a Friday, & were given 1 facecloth. We went to six flags and I wrote a note for the housekeepers asking for more towels&facecloths. We were given ONE towel. (Mind you, theres 2 of us.) I went down and asked the VERY nice front desk attendants and they said they werent anymore left. She gave us more towels, but it was just so hard to believe! The front desk were very nice and informative. When we first got there the room they gave us was covered in dust, sheets on the floor, couch tore up etc. They immediately gave us a new room but Ive never experienced ANYTHING like that. Breakfast was a good saver, cereal, fruit, eggs, sausage, toasts. The usual. But did the trick. Would come here again due to being near Six Flags but never for an extended stay/vacation stay.
Was a little disappointed. When we got to the hotel and went into our room, we walked into a room that was either currently used or not clean as the TV was still on and the beds were not made and there were dirty towels everywhere. When we got our second room we had trouble with the door lock as it wouldnt open the door and we had to try several times to get the handle to turn. The room itself was clean and the beds were quite comfortable. The shower was clean and the blow-dryer seem to have caked on makeup on the curly cord. The hotel is completely located right next to Six Flags Over Georgia and you can simply walk over. Not what we were expecting but it wasnt a total failure. Theres just room for improvement.
Horrible service from the night staff. Manager that was there at checkout was much better that is the one star. Gym equipment all broken. Game room is nothing like the picture and most didnt work. Only one of the elevators worked but barely. Breakfast sausage was not cooked all the way it was still raw. Air conditioning didnt work in hallways and barely in the room. Worst stay in a hotel ever. It is close to six flags so you can hear the screaming from the rides and you can see the park. But half of the parking lot is used for six flags parking only not for the hotel.
They always ran out of towels and wash cloths only was issued 2 at a time and we had a total of five. I was told that the towels needed to be washed and they only have limited supply. I had to drive to Walmart and supply my own. The breakfast was terrible the pancake maker didn’t work the food layout was limited and the meat (eggs, sausage) tasted old,and the bananas were brown. No apples no cereal only a few things to eat. I asked how long have the bananas been sitting there and the worker says it’s because of the humidity that they were black. I thought this was serving hot meals. Everything there is on a limited supply. Had to wait for the maintenance man to open the pool on open hours. Floors felt wet. I just had a terrible stay if your planning on staying in a dump then stay here. I would not recommend to no one. The only great thing is that’s it’s in walking distance of six flags over Georgia and the room rate was fairly reasonable.
First the check in lady was busy with her snacks vs customer. The room was neat but then I found clothing left behind from the previous person. There was a large bag of trash in the hallway and still there in the morning. Had breakfast but is was not great so I opted for the package cereal. The floor in the elevator seemed like it would give away any moment. I will not be staying at this location again anytime soon if I can help it.
Worst experience with a hotel and business in general that i’ve ever had. I’m with a group that booked 20-30 rooms two months in advance. Everything was payed for, and we were assured the expected service. We arrived at our scheduled time to find no rooms clean so dozens of people have been waiting for hours, without water, for rooms to be poorly cleaned. I personally along with several others are about to reach a time of waiting for five hours. No water, broken vending machines, unsecured elevators, terrible service and communication, and i people were so desperate that people were sleeping on lobby carpets, and having to order takeout drinks to the hotel because of dehydration. An absolutely awful experience. Please do NOT support this company.
I heard horrific things about this hotel. The average score is a 3.5 that is a good rating. I strongly disagree with that rating it should get 1 star. I do not recommend this hotel for anyone. Many people lost their valuables, and someone stole my band teachers credit card and he now has a fee of over 1,000$. Everyone was talking about a creepy janitor. They were all saying he should get fired. He was saying very weird and inappropriate things about mainly the females. They heard pounding on the doors in the middle of the night. This Hotel needs a complete makeover!
Let’s start this out. Customer service was nice. Overbooked so yea stress was high. The room was about a 2 star. The only toiletries in the rooms bathroom was 1 bar of soap. There was dried blood, chocolate, or another dark substance on the bathroom door. Other people’s hair was in the sink and bathtub. The recliner chair had busted springs so you sank all the way in. The other chair had major stains all over it. One of the beds had no fitted sheet. Breakfast was good for complimentary. Just overall a dissatisfied customer.
Apologies to the hourly staff for this review, especially the friendly front desk attendant I dealt with. This hotel is terrible. The rooms are dated, in poor repair, had ants, and generally not nice. The computer system was not working when I was there so when I tried to see if we could stay an extra night for a work extension, they told me I had to just book it online to see if there was availability. Sounded weird, but thats what they said so I did it. Turned out we didnt need to stay and they refused to cancel the reservation I had to make just to see if they had any rooms because theres a 24 hour cancellation policy. The manager refused to cancel even given the odd situation and their request that I book to see availability. They charged me the full rate. To date, they have refused to issue me a receipt either for the time I stayed or the room they refused to cancel. Awful service bordering on shady business practice. Stay elsewhere. My estimation of the rooms has nothing to do with the poor customer service... its just bad all-around.
I will never stay there again. The only good thing about this Hotel is that it’s walking distance to Six Flags & they have a few employees that were outstanding. The ac did not work in my room. When I first arrived in room I turned air down hoping it would cool room down. I went out to eat & returned & my room was still hot. The lady at the front desk was able to get me a fan on my request & she did offer to move me to a new room. I really didn’t want to pack up & move, but I ended having to move to another room around midnight, because I was drenched w/sweat from being in a room w/no ventilation. Also, the original room had ants. The rooms are dated, one of the elevators would bypass the floor selected & eventually stopped working. I was highly disappointed with my stay. Jonathan, Janita & Sakinah did their best PR skills showing hospitality & apologizing for my & others horrible stay. The breakfast was heartbreakingly awful. I took pics of the bananas because I could not believe that a Hotel would put such brown spotted fruit out for their paying guest. My suggestion is to tear that place down & rebuild with different management. Please give staff the tools to do their job. I have always loved staying at this brand of hotels & this was the worst experience I have ever encountered. I would NOT suggest this hotel if you have kids & care about cleanliness. I would recommend to anyone to drive a little further out for lodging. I do want to add that the manager offered me 10% off my stay but I said 15% would be better & she did grant me that. I had a small discount w/AAA so manager reminded me of that. I’ve worked in management for over 15 years & I should’ve been given credit for @ least 1 night stay because of the hassle of having to pack up & move around midnight alone.
So-so hotel. Only two pillows per bed which is odd for a hotel I think. Service was very friendly and assisted me with extra blankets, finding a restaurant that delivered during late hours and printed out a document for me the next morning. Bathroom was my only real concern. Although it wasnt noticably unclean, it did look as if it could use a bit more detail or some extra scrubbing to remove the kind of dull appearance to everything. Overall though it was a nice place to stay overnight and wake up only a minute or two from Six Flags over Georgia.
I was there for one night only the hotel is dirty, you can smell the dust and mold when you enter the building. The1st elevator floor felt as if it was rotting under the dirty green floor mat. The room was was so dirty the chairs had an inch of dirt bathroom tub was filthy shower curtain stained couch was black instead of the original color then the housekeeping staff Sheniqua had a nasty attitude and was rude. Enter my room twice with the master key demanding I me and my grand children leave the room because it was listed a being unoccupied. Horrible place to stay Wyndham should be outraged.
Wish I could give this hotel zero stars. I went here with my school on a trip for our musical groups to compete. We were all tired after a long day of bus trouble and ready to relax in a nice hotel. When we got there we sadly found out that that was not going to be the case. Some of the kids didnt have rooms even know our teachers booked them ahead of time. Our room had a red stain in the mini fridge and other small stains on the sheets. One of my friends rooms had a window that was broken, some people had bugs in their beds and one friend had a red stain on a knob on their AC unit. There was a hotel worker who talked inappropriately to young middle school girls and a lot of people got things stolen. Credit card information, airpods, and even socks got stolen from people in our group. This was a horrible experience and I would never go back.
The manager Lisa is so unprofessional i asked her for a separation notice from qhen i worked here and still never recieved it then when i message her she say she waiting on hours. Not to mention when i did work here it was still unprofessional she took me to her room where she was glad to say she keep her some liquor at and smoke about rolling a joint when i had my interview...this place to needs to be shut down for renovation and all new employees. It doesnt take days let along hours to recieve a separation notice
The only reason to stay here is the proximity to six flags. We had 2 king rooms booked and paid for, but the AC didnt work in one of them and the only other room available was a double. The AC was also out on the 4th floor. Our key cards stopped working multiple times for both rooms. We had to request bedding for the pullout and were given 1 bottom sheet, 2 flat sheets, 1 pillow and 3 pillowcases. The cleanliness is very questionable. We found glitter in between our sheets. The only maid service was 2 bath towels, nothing else replenished. The trash piled up in the common areas. There was only one working elevator for the entire hotel. You can walk to six flags which is great. But after walking back and forth to the hotel, and at six flags all day there was a bus load (not exaggerating) of people waiting on the elevator. Walk up 4 flights of stairs, but our keys didnt work, walk back down to deal with that, walked back up. The front desk staff was polite and friendly but it was a hassle to stay here.
The hotel staff was extreamly friendly. Checking in was a breeze. Our room was clean and cool. Breakfast the next morning was wonderful and we met the nicest most welcoming woman,Ms. Charleen. She really took this experience from ok to wonderful by how kind and welcoming she was making sure everyone had what they need at breakfast!! The only issues we hadbwas a slight odor by the front desk and hard beds.
To start the manager isn’t very customer service oriented. The rooms are dated, old and weren’t very clean. My ice bucket and air conditioner had mold inside of them. If you do stay here be careful of the “non-slip” mat in the dirty tub. The suction cups don’t hold because it’s old and you’ll slip and bust your shin.I stayed here for 2 days and at the Hilton home2 hotel off Thornton rd for 2 days also. It may be a few more dollars, but go to the home2 hotel. It’s worth every extra penny. Disappointed cause I thought Wyndham held their hotels to higher standards. Hilton from now on.
The only reason id ever stay here again is because you can walk to Six Flags. The women at the front desk are rude. The breakfast lady hovers over you like youll eat all the food. The hotel is extremely dated. Our TV never worked and we asked them to fix it 3 times. Its like one of those $30 hotels but was over priced for the quality.
A completely awful experience. This weekend, I went on a band trip and we stayed at this hotel. Rooms had many bugs, stains of things like blood and other unknown things, and disgusting restrooms. We had booked about 80% of the rooms 7 months ago, however once we got there 9 hours late, they still had about 40% of the rooms were still not booked. They had a whole 9 hours to make sure everything was clean however we were all extremely disappointed once we arrived. There was tons of bugs in my room, the shower was disgusting, and I hate to think about the things that I missed. Other rooms found pills, beer, and take-out boxes everywhere. The hotel had about 4 staff, all who were extremely creepy. One of the janitorial staff had made extremely inappropriate comments over the phone about two middle school girls. The staff who had master keys stole from many of both the students and band directors rooms, including credit cards, electronic devices, and air pods. The staff yelled at students for the fact that they went into their room when it wasnt ready, although it had been 9 hours later than when we were supposed to check in. They had an out of order sign on one of the elevators that worked occasionally, or at least when I went on, and the one that was in order, stopped at random floors when no one was there and took a little while to start moving. The stairs were absolutely disgusting and there were stains all over the walls and floor. The breakfast may be free but it definitely wasnt enjoyable. Their waffle and pancakes machines never worked. They were constantly out of food, and when they did have it, it was absolutely disgusting. Their sausage was grey and tasted awful. I highly suggest you dont come here unless you want one of the worst hotel experiences of your life. The photos on their website are highly misleading, and the reality of it is much harsher. I am absolutely disgusted with this hotel.
The first 5 minutes of being in our first room, we found 2 live roaches on the1rst floor. When we went to the front desk she gave us another room on 4rth floor. That level was at least 90 degrees on the entire floor. Our room was hot, the air did work but took 3 hours to cool of. Then the refrigerator was frozen up, and the drink machines were not cold either they were hot. The ice machine did work and the snack machine did not. Id pick another place.
My experience was horrible. Our school came to this hotel over the weekend and encountered many problems. In my room, there were many roaches in our bathroom. They were scattered everywhere and it was very disgusting and made me and my roommates very uncomfortable. My friends said there were blood and semen stains in their bed. The shower floors were messed up. I will never come to this hotel again. And I hope the employees are fired because the service was horrible. Thank you.
Its in a really good location, close to all the things my husband and I wanted to do. Whenever I get to a hotel room I make sure that it has everything I paid for and this room did not. It was missing the iron, the ice tray, and the microwave plate. I went to tell the front desk person and was told that she would note it down so it wouldnt be charged on my bill but didnt give me replacements. Also, there were bugs in our room. After the 3rd one that I saw I started taking pictures.
I stayed here on a school trip where we had booked 20-30 rooms two months in advance. When we arrived none of the rooms were clean and we all had to wait at least two hours before receiving a room. My friends and I, personally, had to wait five hours which means that we were in a room at 2 AM after arriving at 9 PM. None of the vending machines work, so most of our students were dehydrated, and were forced to order drinks from a pizza place. Once some people received their room they returned to the lobby because the sheets were dirty and the room had clearly not been cleaned. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone, please do not support this business.
Its literally just okay. I wish I could do 2 and a half stars and feel okay about it. Its not that I disliked this place but definitely not whooed by any stretch. For a no smoking hotel the exits and both elevators reek of cigarette smoke. The vending machine ate my dollar. While the front desk refunded my dollar they also did not know which machines in the building worked or had water. So I had to drink water from the food area where breakfast is served, from the same machine that has the orange juice. The AC worked really good 👍After a long day out sightseeing this is what I returned to though... the door was unlocked and propped open. Housekeeping was in the room as we were leaving at about 10am and at 6pm we returned. I didnt have anything valuable in the room but still that was unnerving to come back to. Not cool at all.
Roaches in my room, housekeeping lazy af & don’t like to do their job. Dirty shower curtain in new room, nasty tub, and room had a funky smell. Microwave was very nasty and tub was clogged up with hair! Housekeeping didn’t even come to my room for a few days, I had to ask for them to do my room. Also didn’t have any tissue in the bathroom, I had to ask for it.
Found a bedbug in our bed, then we got moved to a room for ppl with disabilities. The only problem with that is the shower isnt set up right for a person with out disabilities. Then the next morning we needed fresh towels and washcloth to wash with an they didnt have any. An after all that we didnt receive a discount for our horrible stay. DONT GO THERE
I don’t review normally but this hotel was so bad I feel the need to warn others. Made a reversation in January 2018 and was charged on a credit card for the room in March 2018. Got to the hotel to stay for one night and they said check in was at 3pm. We got there at 8:30pm and our room wasn’t even ready. Had to wait for another room to open up that wasn’t even what we had actually booked. Then after that we were charged THREE more times for the price of the room on the card. Got the run around that night trying to fix it and was told by costumer service it had to be fixed with the local manager. Called the manager a few days later and she said that their system had “changed over” in May and then eventually found our payment from March in the system. She then said she did not see the other three charges and could only refund us for one. Had to call the credit card company to dispute the other charges as fraud. The hotel was also not very clean, our sink leaked, and they had roaches in the bathroom. Worst hotel experience I’ve ever had hands down. Don’t waste your time or money.
A short walk from the six flags entrance. Rooms are reasonably clean and safe. Limited but great tasting hot breakfast. Staff is nice, the manager is especially attentive. Can be noisy when the park is open from kids and the rooms could use some updating and/or deeper cleans. But the positives far outweigh the minor negatives, especially for the price.
First room we were given, the safe didnt work. They moved us to a different room on the 4th floor. There was mold in our ice bucket. We tried to get extra towels, they told us they didnt have any. The pool was locked during pool hours. The lady at the desk said it was her 3rd day working there and she was alone. There was literally not another staff person around. The beds and pillows were horribly uncomfortable. There were cobwebs in the corners in the breakfast area and the food was awful. There are no tables out by the pool, just a few chairs. The staff was ok but it doesnt seem as though they communicate with each other at all. No one knew what the other was doing from 1st to 2nd to 3rd shift. We did not receive housekeeping service between nights 1 and 2. Was terribly disappointed with our stay and will not stay here again. The only redeeming quality about this hotel is that you can walk to Six Flags. The rest of it was unacceptable.
Housekeeping was not very good at all - nightstands were dusty when we go there and the next day the soaps and consumables had not been replaced - not even the cups for the coffee. Very few towels - had to ask for more. Could also hear everything happening around us from kids screaming in the halls at 7 am to the elevator constantly dinging anytime it stopped on our floor. Breakfast was also only served from 7 to 9 - even on the weekend - so very short window to get food if you came on vacation and dont want to have to be up two hours before the park even opens. My roommate used the gym and said some of the equipment (in a small size gym with few machines) was broken also. On the bright side - very close to six flags and lots of parking and nice hot showees for after a day at the park.
I called the reservation number, not the direct Hotel. I was told they had a airport shuttle and indoor pool. When I landed at the airport I called the hotel directly and they told me they did not have a hotel shuttle. Got to the hotel and found out their pool is outside. Spent a hour on the phone trying to figure out why there was not a hotel shuttle before we went to Six Flags. Got back to the room and found ants all over our room and the TV didnt work. the walls have chips out of them and the corners of the floor didnt look like they were vacuum. The only thing this hotel has going for it is the location on how close it is to Six Flags. You can walk there faster than driving your vehicle there! Will not stay here again!
I was not fond of this hotel. when we went to the hotel and we were getting our key cards, i was going with my school by the way, and half of the key cards werent working. 40% of our rooms werent even booked. we had to wait until 12 am and we got there at about 11 pm. i was already tired and wanted to go to sleep. when we got to our rooms, our bathroom was DISGUSTING. it wasnt even a bathroom. there wasnt even a tub. imagine this, your bathroom was like a uncleaned smelly locker room. seeing that made my night even worse. some people had it worse. some of my friend were looking at reviews and saw that peoples valuables were missing. later on we heard one of the staff talking about having keys to all the girls rooms and having a great night. some girls were even crying. we felt unsafe. when we went to eat breakfast the next day, the food that they made was C R U S T Y. but to be honest the best staff there were the ladies making the food, they were very nice. during the night we had to put the deadlock on because we were nervous. what a terrible experience.read the other recent reviews for more information.
Unfortunately my stay to this property was horrible the front desk agent night shift staff customer service skills were very low to say the least her demeanor and tone was extremely unprofessional she seemed annoyed when asked questions of requests her demeanor and tone did not represent a person that should be working in customer service if the Agent was not able to provide what was requested there were better ways for her to respond or at least appear to assist in the customer needs the Agent treated my kids as well as myself as if she was annoyed I understand we all have bad days but we are paying customers this is part of your job to provide a better lever of customer service when greeted by guests asking for a simple request I myself have worked in hotels and customer service and management for years never treated a guest the way I was treated the Agent tone and demeanor was so horrible and upsetting I responded to the Agent that she should not work in customer service treating and responding to customers in such a manner with zero professionalism she of course threatened to call the police which was outrageous and shows her lack of understanding how to assist a customer or provide friendly service and resolution she was becoming defensive just for asking for items needed such as towels and a blanket I wasn’t happy with the treatment to me or my family this was my first time staying at this brand of property I will definitely never stay here again my family was so displeased and disappointed as this was to be a weekend trip This Agent definitely need to be trained properly or work in another field due to such poor customer service skill and lack care for the job as this is the first impression of your company for guest to be treated in such a manner not to mention the holes in the ceiling leaking and the brown stains everywhere and the fact that the lock would not latch to allow the door to close completely this property is in desperate need of a renovation and overhaul of staff and proper training
The bed linen was dirty upon arrival, computers were supposed down for two days so I couldnt get a receipt so I was over charged and I didnt know this until I returned to Illinois. The online pictures need to be updated, the rooms look nothing like that. The ONLY good thing was the staffs attitude was polite
We stayed here because it is right by Six Flags... I would never recommend staying here. It was clear that our room had not been cleaned. There was mold all in the bathroom, blood on the toilet seat, the carpet looked like it had not been vacuumed in who knows how long. It smelled outside of our room. They send housekeeping around at like 9am and they get an attitude when you tell them to come back... Who does that? The park doesnt even open until 10. Housekeeping also didnt pick up our trash at all. They only made the beds. Safe in the room did not work. Never had enough towels. Our room keys only worked half the time. I feel like there might be mold on their AC vents because we all had a hard time with sneezing only when the AC was on in the room. We also booked and paid for a room with two queen sized beds but the beds were full sized so sleeping with another was a bit uncomfortable. The only thing going for this place is the location and their continental breakfast wasnt bad. Overall it was a terrible experience.
I WILL NEVER IN MY LIFE STAY HERE AGAIN! As soon as we arrived, the room smelled like mold. There is mold on the walls and in the bathroom and they tried to paint over it. We went to six flags for hours and we come back to the room exactly how it was when we left. The beds were not made up and the trash wasn’t taken out. Oh, and of course no clean towels!!! The housekeeping people act like they don’t want to be there and have an attitude all the time. The only reason I gave this place a 1star is bc you have to choose something to write a review! I don’t suggest ANYONE stay here!
Front desk is great. I left my brand new Tommy Bahama in the closet. I jumped in an Uber to the airport and luckily called and they got it. My wife called and drove an hour and a half to get it, but it wasn’t there. After weeks of going back and forth, staff with a rehearsed message saying it was moved somewhere. Well the owner liked the shirt and took it home. I later found that out with an anonymous phone call. Crazy. Place stinks, close to Six Flags if that’s what your looking for. Elevator floors were rotted with a carpet over them, probably not anymore.. if y’all lock your stuff up you might be okay. Good breakfast though and staff.Edited:Owner made it right.
Haven’t seen no bed bugs (yet) pool is empty, no continental breakfast, stains on sheets and towels (mildew), the bathtub is painted and is chipping off, shower bar is falling off the wall, no bench for smoking section, no extra sheets or blankets for pull out couch👎 But it is next to six flags 🤷♀️
Im gonna start out by saying the front desk staff was great. We checked it later in the night after about 20 min they knocked on the door to check on us to see how the room was. It was evident that there was cleanliness issues. I get it the furniture is out dated big deal. But when my wife and I get into a room and there is soap left in the shower, mad amounts of hair in drain, all the mirrors are dirty. This isnt a maintenance or a front desk issue but a houskeeping is super lazy and best be getting fired issue. Only reason we stayed was cause it was close to six flags.
The stay was quite nice. I stayed in a suite. The only problems were the dining room table leg was loose, the phone didnt work, and the breakfast was ok, and pillows were small and flat. The positive side, the bed was freaking soft, the people were friendly as you could ask for, had security at the hotel including a lot of cameras, you could make your own waffles and pancakes that I didnt get to try, they extended breakfast past the time it was supposed to close every day I was there, walking distance to six flags maybe 1.5 blocks to entrance, 15 minutes from downtown Atlanta, and big rooms.
Overall a good experience. The hotel is your typical budget hotel that you would expect near large tourist areas such as the Six Flags. The decor is outdated, but the service and amenities are very good.I was here for business, and the cost and quality were both positive for my firm. The hotel is more geared towards accommodating those looking to stay close to Six Flags, and those looking for the closest location to the amusement park this is it.The staff was pleasant and receptive to my needs. Upon arrival they welcomed me immediately. The room as I stated before was outdated decor and could use a few touch ups such as paint on the door, but overall was comfortable and clean. The TV did not work at first, but a call to the front desk the issue was fixed in 10 minutes and I was told I would have been moved if the issue wasnt resolved. I was impressed and thankful for the quick response and cordial attitude.Id recommend this hotel for anyone looking for a quite and nice place to stay but not pay through the roof.
The family sleep over spot...Maybe? The maybe if you are on a low budget. THE GOOD its literally a very short walking distance to the front gate of Six-Flags, parking and security seems okay. They have cameras around the building. I did not use the internet, but it was available. THE BAD everything else, lots of kids around 24/7 = lots of noise, hand smears on the walls, only one elevator working, stepping outside your room into an inferno of heat from lack of AC throughout the building, but they have a small pool, the breakfast was all processed with nothing healthy except for a few apples, forget a nice welcome and the reviews about courtesy concierge service, there is only one desk person after hours and I had to wait for the towels to be rewashed and dried, then I was told I had to come and get the towels, of course they skipped my room for cleaning claiming a sign was on my door, I wore socks the entire time in my room with a host of other things thats not worth the time. SUGGESTIONS carpet cleaning a must, modernize the entire hotel, courtesy-nice service can make the difference even if the hotel is not great, purchase more laundry, granola bars and more fruit are pretty cheap.
Here on a work visit. The location of this hotel is great if you are going to Six Flags, but in the off season most of the places I needed to go to were one of the next two exits up. So its not great for anyone without a vehicle and that also isnt going to Six Flags. Overall the hotel staff have been very nice, the check-in process was great. The rooms arent terrible, a couple imperfections but overall it was clean and accommodating.
Bedbugs in our room. They act nonchalant about. Had to wait for a new room, then they gave us a disability room. Nothing wrong with that but the tub and toilet is set up different. The lady at the desk stayed on her phone the entire time she checked us out. I will never come back here and I don’t recommend anybody going back here.
Dump. Cheap efforts to make it look clean. Youre going to need more than some paint. The one working elevator out of the two was a scary trip up. Took a quick shower and getting ready to settle due to being exhausted. Can not watch tv without having the flush mount light on in the foyer due to all power outlets operating off of the two light switches in the room. Its 12:50 am at this point. Make the trip downstairs and even though reception may have wanted to help she was too busy and will likely forget. Trash place. They should demo and start over.
Incompetent staff. I made a reservation for a king room. Upon arrival I am given the room I requested however I was quite surprised to find someone in the room already. I wasnt given the wrong key because nothing on the registry showed anyone in the room. Which left me with a double bed quitean inconvenience as I am 6 foot 2 and 260lbs. Piss poor operation here.
The hallway was at least 85F on the third floor. Turned the AC on high in the room because the room was warm also. After 6 hours the room was still at least 78 degrees. We actually walked outside at midnight and it was a few degrees cooler outside than it was in the room. There were no face towels in the bathroom, no soap, and we found a tick in the bed. They refused to refund my money for the next day and told Expedia that I was still check-in even though we left for a flight at 4:30 in the morning
This past weekend I stayed at Wingate Hotel by Wyndham Atlanta/ SIx Flags Austell. I was part of a music department trip to Six Flags over Georgia. We had problems with transportation to the hotel and we arrived 8-9 hours later than expected, it is outrageous that at least 30-40% of the rooms were not ready by our arrival. As our school had a very large group coming on this trip, we booked the majority of this hotel. The night we arrived some of my friends got in their room and saw a man standing outside of their window on the phone and acting suspicious, the man walked inside the building and came up to the 4th floor where their room was and walked to their room (there were all young female middle schoolers in the hallway) there were plenty of people in the hallway trying to get into their rooms as the key cards weren’t working, Tyne man claimed to be a maintenance worker but then proceeded to tell them very creepy things such as “We’re going to have a good night all together”. That’s only the beginnig of this review, there were many things in the rooms that were very disturbing. Many people had moldy walls, pillows, towels and more. Some even found blood stains in the beds ans bugs crawled out of the beds. My room had many dead bugs on the floor, personally, I did not think that’s my room was too bad. I shared the room with 3 other middle school girls, we left on Saturday to go to Six flags and when we came back to relax one girl went to go the bathroom and the handle fell off. We called the front desk multiple times before walking all the way from the 4th floor to the lobby (the elevators either didn’t work or stopped at random floors) and when we walked to the front desk, there WAS a woman at the desk. My roommates and I walked up and reposted our toilet situation and the woman was quite rude when talking back and I was alarmed that she was on the phone when we walked up, I think its important to talk to current customers and not just possible customers. There is so much more that was/is wrong with this hotel. At breakfast there was cereal, pancakes, waffles, bagels, cereal, sausage, eggs, and juice, Although that sounds like a wonderful breakfast selection it was the opposite. The only nice thing was the cereal which was prepackaged. The eggs were not appetizing and the sausage was gray almost white. The waffles and pancakes never had enough batter and when they did, it left you feeling sick and uneasy. There were some employees taking things from peoples’ rooms. Whether it was AirPods or chargers or even CREDIT cards. Some staff members were very suspicious and creepy. We had time when we could go into other peoples’ rooms with the doors open so our chaperones knew where people were and some workers would walk up and down the halls while we were walking around and talking, not many people felt safe walking in the hotel. This is just what was happening on the 4th floor where I was staying. Please do yourself a favor and stay away from this hotel.
Service was great. Hotel lobby and room were nice. 5MB/s wifi on 3rd floor. Lime water was nice touch. Only issue I had was AC unit in room ran louder than I was used to in other hotels but it wasnt horrible to where I couldnt sleep. Mattress was very comfortable, wish I could have one of these at home.
One of the worst hotels Ive ever stayed at! First off the place has this mildew smell as soon as you walk in the door. Then the rude staff that do not greet you, when I was waiting to checkin one of the clerks said, Im not here you dont see me! When I get to my room I realize its handicapped. I ask them to move me in case someone else needed it, they wouldnt. My bathroom was dirty the sheets were dirty and the entire room smelled. Im very disappointed the worst $300 Ive ever spent!
On arrival, the desk person had someones sign in sheet just laying on the desk, their personal information out for anyone to read. He couldnt stay focused while checking me in and complained about other employees work ethic. Once in my room, one look at the bathroom door left me wondering if any other surface was safe to touch. It was filthy and disgusting. There was leftover food still in the mini fridge, I guess from the previous guest. The beds were all saggy, there were visible dips in the center of the mattresses. The next morning, breakfast was alright, but on the way back to our room, the elevator we were in had vomit on the floor and the wall near the floor buttons. It looked like it had been there a while, kind of hard. Upon checkout, I let the girl at the desk know. For the amount of money that I paid for our room, I certainly expected better maintenance than what I saw of the place. I wont be back.
Our family gives this hotel 1 star but we want to say our rating has absolutely nothing to do with the three people that we came in contact with at the front desk. They were great. Our rating is based off of our room and house keeping.1. The floor in both of our rooms had stains2. We had top floor rooms the air was off and rooms were extremely hot when we checked in3. No towels/wash cloths in one room upon check in4. Received 2 towels/wash cloths from front desk. The next morning went to get a few more to wash face etc before we started our day and was told we couldnt have anymore until our room was cleaned and house keeping would place with clean ones in our rooms5. Used (half empty) shampoo/conditioner bottles on sink upon check in6. Both beds in one of our rooms had huge visible blood and urine stains on the blankets7. Found someones dirty old panties behind the dresser8. Upon return to our room we noticed house keeping had not been in our room and no clean towels or sheets etc.9. Swimming in the pool we notice green algae in the corner of the pool.10. And lastly the noise and kids running the halls Day and night.Normally we do not complain like this but the amount of money we spent for a two night stay is a shame for what our family was subjected to. The amount of money spent just for the hotel we deserved a 4 star stay this was a 1/2 star stay at the most.
If I could give it zero stars, I would. Spend your money somewhere else,. They have a resident homeless woman that stays in the dining area w/ all of her belongings. We were here for a family reunion. Our beds had no covers only sheets, our rooms didnt get cleaned, mold in our bathroom, my brother had roaches in his room, my son had white stuff on his phone. Not only didnt they clean our room but they left all of our dirty towels in our bathroom and didnt give us fresh ones. IM DONE! Never returning. Never recommending to anyone!!
The room looked to not have been cleaned before our stay, there was not only one roll of toilet paper, but PART of a roll. We had to ask for more toilet paper, towels, and sheets and they went into our room even with our do not disturb sign up. Though the breakfast was free, it wasnt edible at all. Will never stay there again.
We stayed here for a school trip and the hotel was very messy. There were dead bugs in the corners and bathrooms and some of the rooms had stains on the mattresses and some windows were cracked. Service never cleaned some rooms and many people reported missing items. Very bad hotel.
Terrible Time.During my two night stay, me and my roommates had to go the first night with no pillows because all of our pillows were molding. One of the pillows also had a spider. The sheets were bloodstained and some staff had no name tag and approached kids in a creepy manner. The manager was very nice and would help out.
Entire hotel is nasty. Hotel staff moved us 4 times and none of rooms were clean. 1 room a/c didnt work. This is the dirtiest hotel I have ever stayed in and will not reccomend it to anyone even though it is in walking distance to six flags. Look elsewhere, you will thank me for it
The room was quiet and comfortable. The breakfast was a little disappointing--they had egg patties which didnt look or taste much like real scrambled eggs. But they did have link sausage, DIY pancakes and waffles, and a variety of other things. Didnt try the pool, no jacuzzi. The hotel is not far from the Six Flags entrance, but a shuttle would still have been nice--but no shuttle.
I stayed there about a week and it was very comfortable. The staff was very friendly. The only thing I missed was a breakfast with scrambled eggs, sausage links, etc. They had sweet rolls and bagels and the basic waffle maker with an assortment of juices and coffee. I would stay there again.
I had recently stayed here during a band/orchestra/chorus performance trip during the weekend. We had arrived very late at night to stay at this hotel and we all were quite displeased to find out that not everybody had gotten a room yet. Once me and the 3 other people that I was staying with got to our room, it was in a not so decent manner. The bathroom was dirty and it lacked towels. The beds were somewhat made and the floor was not so clean. But that wasnt even the worst part of it. To start there was a significant lack of staff and throughout the entire trip our rooms werent cleaned. I went to the bathroom in the morning and counted 6 bugs crawling in the showers and sinks. Some of the other people that were also part of our group told us terrible things that happened. A group of four student got a two person room, and two people were forced to sleep on the floor. There was things like trash all over the floors and blood as well as moldy pillows when we first got there. The worst things that happened were that one of the staff members was making highly inappropriate comments about the middle school girls with us and our teachers credit cards got stolen as well. I would give this 0 stars if I could. The only great thing about this place is the location and that one bagel I ate during breakfast ( the rest of the food was horrible). The elevators were slow and the vending machines just ate your money. I know this may sound exaggerated but it was far worse. To summarize this extremely long review, this is the worst hotel I have ever been to and I highly advice not to go here.
I booked this hotel a week in advance and called to see if we could check in after Six Flags closed at 12am. The clerk I spoke to said she would put a note on my account and that would be fine. We spent all day at Six Flags and went to check in at 10:45pm and was told that my room was not clean because no one in housekeeping showed up for work. I call BS. There was no decent hotels available so we had to drive 4 and a half hours back home. I am very disappointed with this hotel. I will be calling tomorrow to speak the a manager.
I stayed in this hotel with my school and I had a terrible experience. For one, there were brown stains in my bed, two of the staff were very sketchy. Items were stolen from my peers, my friends had mold on their pillows, and there were semen stains found in others. The shower floors were messed up, there were roaches and bugs everywhere. Some people were asking the students inappropriate questions, and they were not supposed to be there. Janitorial staff didnt do there job. Lastly, your pictures on your website are very very inaccurate, what they showed is not how there were in real life.
I enjoyed my stay here. Room appeared clean. Another reviewer stated the ac was barely keeping up with keeping the room cool which I agree with. But I still slept comfortably. Bed was really soft. Although the plumbing in the bathroom was weird. The faucet would run water if both hot and cold were left in the closed position. The flusher handle on the toilet needed to be held down to complete a flush. I also had problems with the shower knob having to be turned in weird ways to get warm water. Then as the water in the shower got warmer, the sink faucet turned on again. So other than a awkward bathroom experience, I liked my stay. Staff was friendly. Really close to six flags. Its about a 6 minute walk to the front entrance. Even after checking out you can leave your car at hotel parking to avoid paying for parking at the theme park
We were with a group that occupied approximately 80% of the hotel. When we first arrived at the hotel late at night, about 40% of our rooms were not yet booked, when we had already booked them. When my group and I got to our door, there was a man standing outside of our door using his phone talking to someone. The man claimed to be working there but refused to show an id or any proof of him working there. The beds had odd stains on them. The worst part of all, is the fact that the staff had gone into some rooms and stole items belonging to the people of our group. Items including credit cards and headphones.
I stayed here over the weekend for a school trip thinking it would be fine. I walked into my room with a period stain on the bed and white stuff on the curtain. There was food on the floor and my friends room even had a shattered window. Very unsafe. Workers were ridiculous., One made an inappropriate comment to my friends who are young middle school girls. One took a picture of my teachers credit card and tried to use it. And I am quite sure a worker stole two of my friends air-pods after they left them on bedside tables. It was unsanitary and I never came back at the end of the day with a cleaned room. I asked for a new comforter since mine had a stain on it and they said they were out. My bed was never made. Stolen socks. Ant colony in a shower. My friend had no tub in her room and got the whole bathroom wet because of it. Some beds had popping springs that were uncomfortable. My wall had brown stuff on it, making me very uncomfortable. If i could, I would give 0 stars. I dont know what happened to the cleaning crew, but if they had done a better job, my rating would have been better. Never coming back here.
Check in time is 3pm. Check out is 11. We came at 3 and had to wait for one hour more in line of those checking in. Terrible policy. Slow staff. Good location 5 min walk to Six flags. Usual breakfast too crowded between 8-9amSo 2 stars for the check in policy and process.
COMPLETELY outraged! Due to COVID-19 my daughters cheer competition was canceled. I canceled my reservation way before the time it was suppose to be done. Well what do you know i wake up Saturday morning and they have taken $203.00 out of my account. I called and got a gentlemen at the front desk. He gives me a email address to send my complaint to. Well here it is Tuesday and i call and am told that the email i was given would not be handled for some time and that i needed to email another one. WTH!!! the lady on the phone had no clue about anything and said the manager does not come in till 8pm so NOW i have to wait even longer to have my money returned. Wished i would have read the reviews before we booked. O but that probably would not have helped since they still take your money even though YOU CANCEL!!!!!!
Came in was very tired. The first person I seen was the manager Ms. Decarlo T. I was greeted with open arms. Although she was enormously busy. She never failed to get my family and I checked in very quickly and professionally. This is the service that needed in this hotel market. Very great hospitality!! Will definately book here again.#2019 Clean Rooms
Very DISAPPOINTED!!! The day i arrived at the hotel they told me i did not have a reservation when i had booked and paid a month before. The girl had attitude and was askinhabout charging my card again. One of the elevators did not work, AC did not work in the room. Holes ripped in the pillow case. The housekeeper told us to place our towels outside the room she would not even go in the room. The only thing good was being so close to Six Flags. Would never stay there again😤
This was a TERRIBLE experience.I was staying at this hotel for a band/orchestra trip and its proximity to Six Flags theme park. I was sharing my room with a couple of other girls. A few doors down, there were reports of a janitor who had said extremely inappropriate things to four girls who were staying in a room together. My room was never cleaned, and our beds were never re-made. There was a dark, reddish-brown splotch on the chair in our room. There was a half drank Dr.Pepper in the mini-fridge. There was a used washcloth with black and purple substances on it. We never got fresh towels and our other towels were taken. The pillows on my bed were lumpy (and looked like cottage cheese) and the other one had mold on it. In another pillow a spider crawled out. Needless to say I slept on top of the bed and used my sweatshirt as a pillow. The stairs were dirty and the elevator did not work. I did not feel safe nor comfortable staying there or even walking by myself in the hallways. This is not something I would ever recommend. Things were stolen from rooms, for example multiple pairs of air pods were stolen and as were credit cards. DO NOT GO HERE!
I apologize for seeming toxic, but this hotel was highly unsatisfactory. My band recently went here as a place to stay for the night this past weekend. After getting our rooms, the vast majority commanded the hotel to get us better rooms. From my own personal experience, my group had to walk into a room with beer, a Mtn. dew, and blood stains on the mattress. Even though we got a vastly better room, people still came to our room that night because they were absolutely disgusted with the hotel rooms. I request that you may fix this problem as fast as possible. In In simpler terms :Hey pisanio you better delet this stuff right now
The hotel staff are not professional. The front desk employees were joking around with each other while we were trying to check in. They didnt program the room key correctly because of that, so we had to come back down. The wifi was okay. No very fast. The room itself was okay but the towels in the bathroom had holes in them.Im most upset about the breakfast situation. We came down for breakfast at 930 (its supposed to be open until 10.) and there was no food! Just cold coffe... A worker was breaking everything down for cleanup 30 minutes early. Actually, she would have had to started earlier than when we got there, so more than 30 minutes prior.Very unprofessional.
Less than 2 minute walk to six flags...and the staff is friendly. Thats the only good things. We stayed 4 nights, breakfast was just ok, wifi was slow, every chair in our room had spots of some sort, the carpet was torn, and our room wasnt cleaned 2 out of the 4 days we were -finally made my husband go downstairs and ask for clean towels from the front desk on our last night. the manager said she would bring them up to us..10 minutes later he had to go ask again because she never came... Upon checking out we got a sorry about the inconvenience card and a complementary bottle of water. :/ will not be staying here again.
We went to six flags. They let us park in the morning and go to the park and then we checked in later. The first guy was very friendly. Eddie I believe was his name. The room was clean. But the beds were little, but comfortable. The breakfast was just ok. The pastries were stale. There is not a bench outside for us smokers, which was disappointing. But overall I enjoyed my stay. Being able to take a break from six flags and walk to my room and order food that was delivered was a HUGE plus.. saves you money in the long run from the ridiculous prices of six flags... The morning staff did not greet us or say good morning. This is something that could be worked on..
I dont like it at all it was a very bad experience. There were poop stains in the beds and people had mold and bugs on there beds and pillows. There was also a creepy man that said These girls are going to help me sleep tonight I mean who sais that. Also the vending machines didnt work it was so bad. There were beer cans and also food. And there excuse was that half of the staff quit that day. I hope this hotel burns down.
Stayed at the hotel last week. Staff not helpful nor very friendly. Room including bathroom could use a lot more cleaning. When I made reservations I explained to the lady that I had 2 charter busses and 2 drivers that would be staying for 4 nights. After being there 2 days the manager told me that she was going to add $75.00 a day to bill for bus parking.I also learned from a deputy sheriff that the area was not a good place to be after dark.
I made an reservation 2 weeks prior to arrival. One I arrived at 1pm the front desk clerk let me know my room wasnt ready. That said it would be cleaned and ready at 3pm. I returned to get my keys and check into my room. Upon entering the room I noticed the bed was not made. I returned to the front desk to notify a manager and she said they said its clean, the bed just needs the sheets put on. We eventually checked into a prepared room about 4:45
My experience was terrible at this Wingate hotel, once my school (Waddell Language Academy) got to the hotel we knew the hotel was understaffed and did not meet our room requirement. Once I got into my room it was extremely hot, so I tried turning on the AC. It took roughly 5 minuets to start and when it did it sounded broken and was making strange noises. When my roommate tried turning down the AC machine the nob came off and then it started smoking and burning. We thought that it was going to catch fire so we tried fixing it but it didnt. When we woke up the AC had been turned off and we put the nob back on but the smell of smoke still lingered. The problem was not fixed for the second night and we had to sleep without AC in an extremely hot room.
My family and I stayed at this hotel Tuesday & Wednesday we thought it was going to be bad like everyone says but it’s absolutely not we really enjoyed our stay it was real convenient everyone was super nice. And it’s this one particular young lady I loved her she was the supervisor she went all out the way to make sure we was comfortable most definitely going back.
In my opinion this hotel shouldn’t be allowed to fly the Windham flag because it is a disgrace to the brand. The only good experience my wife and I had was with the front desk employees and the hotels location to six flags. All within a three night stay we experienced a closed pool, broken gym equipment, literal cockroaches and cobwebs in our room and general filth. I’m sad to say this is my last stay at a Wyndham property. Shame because I love the rewards program. My advice- replace housekeeping and the pest control company with people that care about their job! Room #124
This is a horrible place to stay. There are ants in the room the TV doesnt work the alarm clock needs to be replaced the pool is outside which is ok except they said it was indoors. What ever good youve heard about this place is a lie unless it about there walking distance to six flags which is the only thing going for them. Would NEVER stay again.
My room had blood stains and other brown stains on the sheets, there was a random pair of underwear in the corner of the room, the hallway on floor three had broken air conditioning, our window was broken, and my friends room had poopstains all over the beds. The staff violated our privacy, took pictures of credits cards and bought stuff, and a janitor was going to rooms and saying how when they opended the door when he knocked, that they were inviting him to sleep with them.
Mold in AC; No water pressure; Dirty floors; Safe not working; Hot rooms; Hole in shower curtain; Broken shower knob; Car break-in.I travel 75% of the time, stay mostly at Hampton Inns, and this is my first (and last) time at a Wingate. The rooms were so warm that I checked three more rooms before the very accommodating staff finally decided to upgrade us to a suite(room 418) which has two AC units. Sadly, they were both filled with mold but we decided to keep it as the kids were done moving around. We then found the rest of the disappointing items listed above. In the morning, several car got broken into but not ours. Maybe its because we were in the middle of a busy month of July, but that was just too much.

2022-06-29We go to Six Flags every year and stay here due to its closeness to the park. We never had any problems until this time. The elevators were out of order so we used the stairs which was a little inconvenient but we could handle that. The problem was the room. As soon as we entered we could smell the bleach which was a little overwhelming but we knew it was probably clean. The carpet didn’t feel “clean” The bathtub didn’t have a stopper so shower only and the tub looked as if it had seen better days. Only one towel and no soap. Had shampoo and two conditioner but no soap and I forgot to pack my own. The microwave was a turntable type but didn’t have the “table” part but did have the part that does the turning. Odd. The kids wanted to swim so we went to the pool. The water was kind of cloudy looking so we didn’t spend too much time there. Honestly I don’t know if we will stay there again. I will say the staff was polite and friendly and I always appreciate that.

2022-06-13In a word: gross. The check in hostess was very nice and I certainly don’t blame the working staff for our experience but man…this is a place you’ll want to miss. The elevator is out of service, the pool is closed and the bathroom was so gross we didn’t use the shower at all. Upon getting ready to check out, we noticed what appeared to be dried blood and lipstick smeared on the sides of the mattress (see photos). The carpet was sticky so I wore my shoes the entire time. The only clean parts of the room were the linens and towels. The tv wouldn’t work unless the main light in the room was on and the other half of the lights didn’t work. I called at 9 am asking for a late check out and the hostess said no problem. At 10 am, a man called our room to tell us to leave. I explained we had a late check out. 10 minutes later, a maid knocked on our door telling us to leave so I had to have to same conversation with her, bad communication between staff. We thought this would be a good spot being so close to six flags but we definitely won’t be back.

2022-06-13My girlfriend and I wanted to stay here for a fun Six Flags weekend. We booked two rooms, one for each of us. Her room did not have working AC. When we asked for a fix, they said it could not be fixed and offered a fan. When I said this was unacceptable, they offered to move her to another room. In the new room, we found a spider in her bed. They did not have any more open rooms, so we asked if we could simply check out and receive. The ladies at the front said yes, and I asked for an email to inquire in the event the refund did not go through. It is now 2.5 months later, and I have yet to receive this refund. I have sent about 5 emails. The woman on the other end, Lisa, either does not reply or says something along the lines of, “I will check on this for you,” but she never does. She simply does not reply. So now, I’m out ~$350 for trusting this hotel.I will likely never stay at a Wyndham again. It is too difficult to get in touch with corporate about this incident, and I don’t want to risk throwing money away once again.

2022-02-26The people who are here to run the place are great the lady at night is the best when it comes to who comes in the hotel at night. They dont play around with letting people in the hotel who shouldnt be in the hotel. I have kids and after talking to the lady whos name I did not get I felt safe with my family here. We have stayed in hotels close to here that did not care about the outer door being open they do here its a good place to be safe

2022-06-12First I would like to say that the only thing pleasing about this hotel is how close it is to six flags and the beds were comfy. The elevator didn’t work, the pool was closed, tv didn’t work, the room was disgusting and had dead bugs everywhere and the shower had soap from the last people who stayed, the ac didn’t work, we basically had to kick the door down to enter the room, the breakfast was just disappointing with the choice between cereal or a bagel and for 160$ a night I would’ve expected a little more. Won’t be staying here again.

2022-03-23Expedia had overbooked the rooms for our March 2022 stay, so our family was almost turned away, as were three persons waiting in line to redeem their reservations. But, thankfully, the reception staff person helped to maintain our reservation, and granted us the rooms. Unfortunately, the house cleaning staff was not present to clean rooms, so guests were waiting to have their accommodations in order before settling in for the night. Once inside, signs indicated that guests were to not ask for extra towels, etc., and that the current messes were due to new water pipe installations, which was not a fact mentioned on the site. Obviously, the pipes for fire sprinklers werent the only issues experienced by this motel as the bathroom showed signs of mold, peeling wall papers and damaged drywall, uneven tile, shoddy repairs and the ceilings/walls had open holes for the pipes. It was probably due to the aforementioned that we had an unwelcome morning visitor in the form of an adult cockroach! When a customer stated her remote didnt work, the maintenance man was asked to replace it, though he looked as though he was dressed to go clubbing for the night, rather than work on the motel repairs. Our own room lacked a television remote! The complimentary breakfast consisted of nutrigrain bars for the early risers, and then was modified to include limited bagels/toast or the choice of a few cold cereals for the later arrivals. The parking lot was littered with the trash from not only the motel guests cars, but from passersby, who constantly attempted to enter to use the bathroom, though a sign outside the facility prohibited it for public use. After viewing the loitering outside the building, it took no guess work to determine why the only entry used was the front double doors which were locked at night for safety reasons. The ONLY factor keeping this motel in operation were the two female employees behind the reception desk who were we more than professional in dress, manners and customer relations, so major kudos go to them!

2022-06-23It was not good. Anybody that says they love have been paid to say so or offered a deal. The person at the front had the worse attitude possible. Got to the room. Smelled like cigarettes or just an unclean room. Everything looked like they wiped it with with dirty water and let it dry. Lamps were covered in dust and stains. My husband had to reset the tv to get it working. Went to take a shower after a very long drive and would you know there was no wash cloths. When my husband went to get them he ran into another customer who also had complaints about their room. We stayed two nights because I had to an appt that took a long time and didn’t wanna drive back. Thinking we had got the wash cloth problem solved, I expected the room to be cleaned. It was not. And we only had one wash clothes and one towel. Forgot to mention the shower curtain was filthy. Idk what was on it but I’ve seen cleaner in a combat zone while deployed. The tub was also chipping paint. The place was terrible. Would never come back. Would have had a cleaner experience in my car

2022-04-27The room was not clean at all and Im not a picky person AT ALL! The carpet was in poor shape and had multiple sticky spots on it. There was also some unknown substance smeared in the carpet. The staff was nice and the location was great. The cleanliness and quality of the room was just extremely unsatisfying.

2022-06-16The entire hotel is dirty, the pool was green, the exercise room was closed and cluttered. The TVs cycle through the TV guide, but you cannot select a channel or hook up devices (e.g. nintendo switch/other gaming device).A/C does not work in some rooms. Some rooms smell like smoke/mildew.There is broken furniture, holes in the ceilings and walls; unsure if sprinklers work. Trash bags were left in the hallway and the ice/vending machines do not work on some floors. There are COCKROACHES. Our guests found roaches in their luggage and clothing the next morning. Hotel staff is very unprofessional and intentionally rude; even going as far as to directly insult and threaten members of our group. They do not respect the guests or the property itself.General manager is always not available or not in today and will not call you back when specified. There is no breakfast or anything you would expect from a hotel. This location does below the bare minimum and uses COVID as an excuse to provide as little service as possible.

2022-03-23What others say about the woman at the front desk is true. She responded in a rude manner when I asked about the atm. I understand needing to be on your guard given the location of this hotel but it was unnecessary. For all she didnt know I could have been interested in a room too. I feel she was also rude to me because she perceived me to be 20 yrs old or a teenager. But I am much older. either way I dont feel comfortable recommending this hotel to any of my friends or family that may be coming from out of town.
