I have pictures to prove it. Dirty carpet, phone, walls, bathroom and bathroom door, hair and trash in the cracks of the floor, I even found hair on the fresh towels they gave us. The shower is permanently stained , had to take a shower with my flip flop on. Very dusty. I cried the entire night into the morning and had to go to work. Its terrible yall!! The general manager was nice though
The front lobby was obnoxiously hot every time I walked out of my room (which was right by the lobby). The front staff working the desk were always very nice and accommodating. The AC in my room didnt work the first night, but after that it worked fine. They need to do something about the very poor lighting in the bathroom, it was like getting ready in the dark every morning. The morning breakfast was..... Meh. I only ate there twice because it was so lackluster. The pillows... Just, no. They need to all be replaced because they were horrible. The price was great though!
Good location however, the bed linen on one of the beds had freshly new blood stain. The room looked as it had been cleaned. Both beds were made up as if there were fresh linen. Went to the bathroom early morning saw a roach. Never again or will I recommend this hotel.
This hotel is going to be great when the construction is over and done with. It was kind of unorganized to try to drive around the construction and to find out where to enter and exit. The rooms were okay, not bad or good just okay. The shower was nice and had nice water pressure. The people are very reliable. They really helped us figure out where to shop and eat and it was very sweet.
Horrible experience. When we first got into out room it smelled like sewage so we had to switch rooms. Our second room we basically had to break down the door to get in because it wouldn’t open. It took at least 10 tries each time to open. The pillows here are half the size of regular pillows and two of ours had brown stains on them, so if you do decide to stay I strongly suggest bringing your own. The sheets also had stains on them and so do the walls and floor. It was just a really gross room and I didn’t even feel comfortable walking barefoot. You’d be better off going to a different hotel!
Very spacious, clean rooms. Newly renovated with fridge, & microwave. They also provided a complimentary breakfast each morning. The staff was very friendly & accommodating to our needs . They made us feel very welcome & comforting. The GM did not hesitate to accept our pets due to the mandatory evacuations from Hurricane Flo even though they had a no pet policy. Our original res @ the Fairfield inn & Suites across the street refused to take our one cat and gave us a list of kennels to board her if we wanted to stay there. I Highly recommend the Wingate by Wyndham for either a short or extended stay especially this one in Augusta, GA. We thank you for your hospitality and really appreciated your kindness in this stressful situation.
We had a bad experience with Woodsprings Augusta Fort Gordon who said they couldnt find our reservation even though they confirmed the reservation 2 days earlier. We called Wingate and they were very understanding about the situation and let us reserve a room right away. They also had complimentary breakfast which was a plus and the room was very clean. I would definitely stay at Wingate Augusta Fort Gordon again.
Hotel is great. I paid for a room online but I made a mistake with the room selection so I selected something with two beds. When I got there to sign in, they told me about the 2 beds. But I didnt like two beds in my room so I asked if they will be able to give me something else. They upgrade me into a suite. A very nice room with the same price.
Stayed here when we dropped our son off for AIT training. The staff was very friendly. The rooms were very clean. Breakfast was delicious. They were very accommodating when our son got a weekend pass and extended our stay with no problems. Will definitely stay here for graduation
Eggs were overcooked and dried out. If you like hard scrambled you might like them. Would be better if they added butter to the set up for breakfast. Beds were of good quality, pillows are small and tall. Rooms were clean and everything in our rooms worked. TV you have to get up and use the buttons on the side of the TV to move it to HDMI 2 so you can watch cable.
This hotel is very average. If youre on a budget I would recommend but there were just a couple small things. It was kind of loud next to the road. The a/c wasnt very strong and we were rushed out of our room before checkout. The beds and pillows were also very mediocre.
Pleasant staff. For no smoking hotel they allowed smoking in lobby drive up area. Could not walk into lobby without smoke. Interesting that lobby doors read Breathe Well. Room key cards had to be decoder three different times during this stay. Breakfast not replenished throughout posted serving times. Whirlpool not working nor showing signs of future repair.
Wow, I have never stayed in a hotel that felt like they didnt want you here. No soap or shampoo in the room, so be ready to walk down and ask for it. The staff does not like to be bothered with doing their job. Seems they rather play on the computer and watch TV in the lounge/breakfast area. The hotel is not that easy to find and there are no restaurants in the area. They advertise that there are, but they are back in town.Room was clean with plenty of room.Wont ever stay here again.
Room door stuck and had to be slammed to close all the way. Bathtub faucet only allowed the water to be scorching hot or cold, but you could not mix the two and get warm water. The condition of the room itself was great and comfortable. The staff was friendly and accommodating.
This was our refuge from Hurricane Florence. We stayed 6 nights. Clean rooms, great and friendly staff, decent continental breakfast. The Wi-Fi is really slow and we wish they had a look (they do have a whirlpool). The bed was so comfy! Decent location.... Close to 520 but tucked in off the main road so its pretty peaceful.
The room had less bedding than would be expected. There were 3 pillows for a king size bed and no extra blankets. There were also only 2 towels. Lobby was undergoing renovations. Breakfast was not good. There were no knives to spread peanut butter or jelly, pastries were packaged junk food, there was no juice and one lonely container of yogurt. Service was ok. Non-smoking room smelled like smoke.
I have never been more disgusted with a hotel ever. It was so nasty. It smelled so pissy and the mildew was overpowering. The some employees wore ankle monitors. The lady with the little fan ponytail I think her name was daisy was okay. Breakfast was very poor. The tub was moldy and dirt caked up in the corners. The toilet was horrible. I thought I was in a prison. I had no other choice live in these horrific conditions due the evacuations of Hurricane Irma and the better rooms was already booked. The last night I couldnt bare the smell and I was tired of sleeping in my hoodie and sweat pants because of bed bugs indications so I slept in my car. Lets not forget about the spades game and the weed smoke in the lobby. PLEASE RUN FAST AS YOU CAN
If I can rate this a 0, I would. Customer service is HORRIBLE in the hotel and in the customer care line. One of the front desk representatives working today around 5 pm was arrogant, had no sympathy to my situation, no sense of customer satisfaction, and just plain rude, with bad attitude. I had to deal with a situation that took 1 HR with no resolution, and my money was taken and not refunded. Now Im stuck with no place to stay near my family, and distressed. I will never conduct business with this establishment and Wyndham ever again.
Was greeted by a warm and friendly smile from Tracey working the front desk. Felt very welcomed upon walking in. Which was impressive because she was working a double shift. The room had a small problem, was moved to a suite. Always enjoy my stay here and even more so when the staff is friendly, helpful and accommodating. Thank you Tracey for being such a sweet ,cheerful, and pleasant person. Looking forward to my next staycation here.
I stayed here for a month folks. A whole month. My employer gave me a certain dollar figure, and it didnt leave me with a whole lot of options. That being said, when I called this place Chris was awesome and said they could wiggle with their price since I was staying so long and that the manager Eric T. was an outstanding guy. Ended up making the reservation after getting in-touch with Eric. So staff was great to me. Onto regular things, they were very punctual daily with bed-making and trash, new towels. Every few nights they would go by with a snack cart with free goodies. Heck, I got some wine and beer on a couple occasions. If you want classy, this isnt it. But, if you need a place to stay thats taken care of (albeit a bit aged, dont go licking the carpet), that just works, Id go back here again if I had to stay in the area.Pros:-Staff helpful, responsive-Snacks/drinks on occasion on-the-house-Location to most things (Mall, Ft Gordon, Augusta National)-Free Internet / CableCons:-1st floor = Hear everything in the world someone above you is doing-View out your window, if you want one, good luck (I just wanted to see my car)-Breakfast, it existed, but it was mostly some fruit, some coffee, and wafflesOverall: This is a 4/5 for me with regards to surrounding hotels, and the price. This is me sort of saying its a solid hotel for being right there, but I would indeed have higher standards for different areas or hotel chains. I dont care about fancy though. I just want it to work, be clean, and have good people.
This was one of the best hotel experiences Ive had this year. I was greeted kindly by Anu(hope I spelled that right), who was very helpful, and he kindly made arrangements for me to have a room by the stairwell because of my condition. The hot tub and fitness center were excellent and although I missed breakfast, Anu and the morning staff informed me they would bring out anything I requested from the back. This has been my first stay at this chain but I will definitely be staying with them again because of this experience.
Stayed at this property thinking it would be a great stay for me and my family as we were traveling back up north. We arrived around midnight that night and was greated very sadly and she seemed to have had a bad and nasty attitude. Jitel was her name not sure how to spell it but she wasnt very welcoming as to the property also needed a little work. Got to room called and asked for towels and was told I would have to wait until the following morning. Never would stay here again.
DISAPPOINTED!!!!!!! Housekeeping clearly do NOT care about their job. Our room was dirty, no towels, trash on the floor and dusty. We were given another room that was in need of repair, dirty socks were on the floor, 1 pillow and the list goes on. Please dont be fooled by the BEST breakfast signs or reviews because it is an absolute LIE. Cold biscuits, cereal, waffle, coffee, water but NO juice. The Motel around the corner is probably a better choice.
I was very disappointed in the condition of the room. There was something on the carpet and wall in the room that looked disgusting! There was something brown on the wall in the bathroom wall under the sink. The bathroom was dark, the painting of the wall was incomplete, there was no vent in the bathroom, and there was only one trash can in the room. The ice machine wasnt working on our floor, so we had to go to the first floor to get ice! The condition of the room looked very outdated and needed to be updated. They really need to step up there game, or they will be out of business very soon!
Found a bedbug immediately after entering the room. Still waiting for a refund about for months later. The staff never apologized at first and the incompetent manager told me several times he would look into the incident. Evidently the staff did not even tell him about the incident when it happened.I know things happen out of their control, and they probably took care of the infestation. I however refuse to use the hotel based on the managers apathy and apparent ineptitude.
Horrible. Tried 3 rooms and left. I booked the room in the parking lot, went inside and the front desk woman acted like it was inconvenience for her to check us in. First room only the beds were made. Everything else dirty. Dirty towels, dirty countertops, trash bags full. Second room was better except for the candy wrappers spread on the floor which had been chewed by mice obviously. A second male front desk attendant offered us 50% off on a third room- telling us we can pay whatever we want. After getting inside the third room, he then explained to me i would not get half off but only a $30 discount. I left immediately. Also the attendants had different stpries as to why the rooms werent clean. First excuse was they have a new cleaning staff who just started today. Second excuse didnt make sense- about how people just get up and leave after check out time and dont clean up after themselves??? Isnt this the point of housekeeping? YoU dont pay to sleep in a dirty room!! They tried at least i guess.
This hotel was OK, but not much more. The hotel is located about 15 minutes from downtown augusta and doesnt appear to be in the best area. The room was clean, but the lock on our door had to be jimmied in order to close the door every time we left out room. We just haopened to stay in a handicap accessible room and it is a good thing we were not handicapped because the only thing different about this room was it had grip bars in the tub for you to hold. I do not think a wheel chair could get into the bathroom easily. The continental breakfast was good. It is more than just pastries, they had waffles, eggs, suasage, etc. The frost staff was freindly, but the housekeeping had some attitude.
Started at the fort Gordon Wingate. One of the worst places Ive stayed. Beds were very uncomfortable. They give you 3 tiny pillows to sleep with. The door handle to the room had to be forced down with the might of God just to open get in or out. There were old finger nails in the bed side table drawer. And the desk chair was stained with what I can only assume was feces. The only good thing about the place was the size of the room.
Stay away, I had bed bugs in room on 3rd floor, if you stay, pull up the bottom sheet look for brown blood stains on sheets and mattress. There was a light fixture missing in room with HOT wires hanging out. The frame for the window was cracked cold air came streaming in the window. With the wind blowing, you can hear it. You could not contorl the temp in the room. you could The coffee maker did not work. I reported all of the above to Erica at the front desk, and ask for a call from the manager, I never got the call.Stay away, I travel 100 nights a year, you can tell when the main concern is $$$ and not the customer.
Worst hotel I have ever stayed at- my neighbors were evicted at 3 or 4 in the morning by the police after numerous calls to the front desk. I asked for a refund in the morning but was told that they could not do it. There are much nicer places nearby for the same cost that wont let people party until the wee hours.
I reserved a hotel room at the Wingate by Wyndham Augusta/Fort Gordon back in December 2014 and cancelled it the same day as our plans had changed. At that time I was given a cancellation confirmation #. It was for a stay in April 2015. April came and even though I had cancelled the reservation, my credit card was still charged $1581.90 for the entire stay. When I called the hotel to tell them of their mistake, I was told to leave a message for the manager, Deepika. I never received a call back. I called two more times in the next 10 days and was given the same information, to leave a message for Deepika. I still never got a call back. I was so frustrated that no one would help me and felt like I was getting the run around. I finally had to file a claim with American Express to get it refunded, which they finally did. I was VERY frustrated and disappointed that the hotel did not seem to care about their mistake and I was stuck with the charge on my card. The fact that I had to go to my credit card company to have it disputed is so disappointing. Terrible customer service! I will not even consider staying there in the future because of this experience.
Broken chair in the room, two lamps with broken shades on them. No toilet paper holder or place to put a bar of soap. The door didnt close tightly. The carpet had some type of bleach stain like 12 diameter from who knows what. The motel 6 couldnt havent been a worse choice.
If you are in augusta please dont hesitate to stop by. Rocky verma and Jrya patel are amazingly curtious, helpful, down to earth and professional. Breakfast was great and they always greet you with a smile. I plan on going back a.s.a.p!! Thank you again for the great stay
The room was nice yet bathroom light kept goin out , the desk staff acted like it was a inconvenience to answer my call from room had to walk to front desk then was left standing there while they laughed an talk amongst each other I will never go to this location again as a member

2022-05-24Well where should i start. The hotel is out of date it need major upgrades and what they charge for over night stays doesn’t add up to the hotel. The morning continental breakfast sucks. They had no fruit for breakfast (2rotten apples) coffee was water. No oatmeal no anything. Still have old air conditioning system and it doesn’t get cool enough. And also no pool in this hotel with all that parking lot they need to invest in one. Hot tub was out of order. Their in need of new towels. Towels was stained. It was not a good stay for me. I was so worried about bed bugs that i didn’t get a good nights sleep at all.

2021-09-25If I could give a zero I would. We arrived late at night because of our flight coming in late. The people working at the desk were nice but as soon as we got to the room it went down hill. There was trash in the garbage can and moldy food in the fridge. It’s felt so dirty and gross we didnt even sit down. We immediately called front desk and they brought us up a key to a new room. The other room was just as bad. The bedding had random brown spots all over. There was mold on the ceilings and all over in the shower. After the second room we had enough and just left to the holiday inn express they got us in right away and the rooms were so clean. Don’t even waste your time here. You will be sleeping in dirt

2021-04-06I was able to book this hotel quickly after another hotel lost my reservation. I called and got booked within 5 mins. I arrived at the hotel, I was greeted professionally and checked in within 5 mins. The room was clean and accommodations good. The only reason I gave a 3 instead of a 5 is because the building was older and could use some updating. All staff was nice and accommodating especially the lady that is over the breakfast. She made sure the area stayed cleaned and stocked for guests until it was time to close it. The hotel was located close to the highway and it was easy to navigate around town from the location.

2019-09-14By far the worst hotel I have ever uncounted. Our room we checked into was very nasty. Hairs left on the pillow in the bed. Wash cloths has spots on them was very disgusting. The customer service was horrible. There was no manger on site to speak with the rep at the front the desk was very unprofessional and not apologetic about the situation at all. Myself and my guest had not been her 2 full hours in the mist of this happening. I have been driving 5.5 hours and I have not yet been able to take a shower and rest like I planned to vacation and do. Very upset and not happy at all. I’ve never experienced an issue with a hotel EVER. My first and last time.

2021-02-22Update: 2021The service seems to be going down hill a bit. First of all they have a mask sign showing but none of the staff have on masks. The guest services are not masked. The staff in the hall is just coughing. The guys sitting at the front desk, never say anything to you unless you walk up to the desks. They are always on the phone. The breakfast that they currently are serving will not be served on Monday mornings. The cleaning staff are slamming doors and hollering through the halls, just making all sorts of noise. What if people are actually trying to rest or even do some work in their rooms. Terrible. Once we got here, I lysol everything and sprayed the furniture as well as the beds down. The bathroom and some of the furniture needs to be replaced. They can do better. A lot better. Again this is. Place to lay your head and thats it. If we could have gotten our money back, we would not have stayed here. FACT!!!!!The positive side first. This place will work to lay your head down and thats it. They do have a mini breakfast bar. The rates are fine if you can catch a deal. There is a workout area. The mini pool looks like jacuzzi you would have at home. There bed are comfortable. Now the cons. The TV does not work, some of the furniture is broken, and the door to the room was not easy to get into. You can hear the traffic passing by and other guests conversations. Again this place will work to lay your head but dont expect to much more.

2020-12-20Nice spot with a clean room and comfortable beds. Towels were soft and shower was hot. Im a working man who travels for 100% of my job and this place was a joy to stay at even during the times of covid. Will stay here again.
