They get NO stars the place had mold in the bathroom, all around the shower, roaches in the 1st room that they gave us . They moved us to a new room that the Tile off the bathroom wall fell off when i was in it .. the front desk woman was Terrible always something smart to say out her mouth!!! No breakfast but boiled eggs and coffee.. the washing machine and dryer was not working or at least thats what the chic at the desk said .they need L&I ti come
So upset wirh this hotel. It was a pleasant stay, a little dirty but the beds were great. I WAS OVERCHARGED FOR MY STAY. by a whopping 200+ CAD. I am NEVER going back to this hotel. Ive tried contacting them about how much they overcharged me, and still after a month of trying theyve been ignoring me completely.charged an extra $200 CAD than what my reservation originally was supposed to cost. So disappointed with Wingate by Wyndham, they stole 200$. Im disgusted.
Would give zero stars if it was possible. Looks NOTHING like the pictures. Had a mold smell all the furniture is dirty, dingy and dated. The sheets on the bed were gross and the replacement sheets they brought were no better. Hot breakfast my a**.. They put out bagels, muffins and packets of oatmeal. Im almost certain housekeeping has never cleaned the carpet and the water barley gets hot. The pool and hot tub were closed but I wouldn’t have haven’t been used them anyway cuz they just look disgusting and there is construction going on that they don’t warn you about ahead of time so dont go thinking you’re gonna sleep in cuz you arent. So disappointed I will never step foot in this place again.
Positive: The location was good! Negative: First room they put me in had an awful paint smell, the entire 5th smelt like paint. Paint buckets all up and down the hallways. The fifth floor is very moldy. They ended up putting me on the third floor. That room was OK it was better than the one before
Hotel staff came in the room unannounced with out even a knock, claiming to have gotten the room number mixed up with another looking for a machine. My toddler daughters were in the room and i was in the bathroom, my confidence in hotel security drastically dropped. I would not recommend any families wt young ones to care for, to stay here. Once I spoke with the staff about what occurred they shrugged it off as a minor occurrence.
It was the end of May. When I checked in and went up my floor I saw a just construction site (photo). Full of chemical smell too. It was not the hotel I expected a cozy night after long drive. I went down to the desk and asked other floor. They did not have one. So I asked to cancel and I was told full refund from the desk. I had to find another hotel at night. OK then. They did not refund and ignored. The lady on desk just hang up the phone from me even from Expedia. She is so rude. If you read other review you will find her rudeness and how terrible the hotel is. I used there long years. It changed like that lately. I think ownership changed.
The worst hotel experience I have ever had from the front desk clerk to the rooms. They have a major renovation going on and they probably should shut down this property until renovation are completed. What I will say if you like roaches in your hotel room, then you are in the right place. Sorry 😞
I read the reviews so the first thing I did was check for hot water and it worked. Room was clean tub needed ba good scrub. Dont expext a hot Breakfast consisted of bagels and muffins coffee or orange juice . Staff was friendly .There is alot of shopping and restaurants near by. Stayed 3 nights and used priceline. Would have given more stars if tub was clean and had a hot breakfast as seen in pictures. They are in the process of remodeling the whole hotel.
Positive: I loved the location. Negative: The first room I was given was not cleaned. The bathroom was dirty. They explained they were under renovation, but it was not clean at all. Also, it was difficult to know who worked at the hotel. The person who approached me did not look professional.
The room we were given wasnt ready. At 4:30 pm, there was cleaning stuff strewn throughout the floor. One elevator stopped working, and the light in the other elevator went out. At 10:30 pm, 2 men opened the door to my daughters room (where she was with her 2 year old. They had been given keys to her room! Luckily, she had the chain on the door. We would have been across the hall, but our room wasnt ready when we checked in.
I often stayed at this hotel because it was accessible to I-85. But I will never stay in this hotel anymore. I checked out because I had a meeting in another area and found out that I had left my jacket in the hotels closet on the move. I asked the hotel to check it, but I think they are not trying to find it after notifying them that they are not responsible. If you have no choice but to stay at this hotel, you will never find the lost item, so please refer to it.
The room itself is ok, however, one of the light fixtures is broken. The staff tho, however, when I ask for more towels, the front desk person seemed to be annoyed and ask if housekeeping didnt leave any. Its hot out so I shower more than once and I didnt know that is a problem. Sorry, I interrupt you from watching your show. The hotel is currently going thru renovations, FYI.
Positive: Location Negative: Poor customer service. The reception woman was extremely unprofessional with bad attitude. We were told not to stay in lobby areas (was under reno but was open for breakfast) till a check-in time unless we pay an early check-in fee. ABSURD. Dirty hallways
Positive: Location felt very secure & safe Negative: The breakfast was being cleared away 15-20 min before it was supposed to be done. We came down for bfast with 15-20 min until 9 and the hostess had already put away all hot food items & then cleared all cereal & milk before we could get to it!
The hotel is very outdated, the rooms were filthy. upon walking in, there was an awful smell that went up to the rooms. the tables were sticky and we had ants and gnats. the towels in the bathroom were dirty, we felt itchy in the bed the whole time. they wouldn’t give us a refund or another room!
Positive: I liked the location. Negative: Towels not clean. The complimentary breakfast wasn¿t really breakfast, but more like very limited breakfast snacks: bagels, muffins, and cereal. The orange juice was spoiled. The apple juice was severely watered down. No creamer or half & half for coff
Positive: Near to many stores and restaurants Negative: Did not get hot water Had to change to another room due to some strong odor inside the room Washrooms dont have a lock Air condition buttons are not working in one of the room Fewer breakfast items Furniture had stains
Hotel was clean and functional, but profoundly outdated. Furniture is ripped and tattered, like something purchased at a garage sale. Scuffs on desks, and stains on furniture and carpets throughout the entire building. Rooms smell of must and mildew from the old age of the carpet and upholstery. Looks like nothing has been replaced or updated in this hotel since 1980.
Positive: Checking out of the hotel Negative: The staff was rude and the phone was broke in the room. Also, the heating/air conditioning did not work at all during a very cold stay. The bathroom mirror was extremely dirty and there was a mildew odor lingering in the hotel and room.
Positive: Staff member Patel was very pleasant Negative: Sent us to a room that was occupied. We checked in at 10pm so no one should have been there. By the time staff checked the room, the guest had left. Staff said they¿d have the room ready for us in 10-15 minutes. That was unacceptable to us.
Very very unprofessional, outdated and unsanitary. Black mold all over, stained dirty filthy furniture. I don’t even write reviews but I must save anyone looking to book here. I have evidence of mold and stains and wasn’t refunded. I pray they go out of business or someone with business sense and money come take it over. Wingate Wyndham can’t possibly know what’s going on over there.
The pictures online for this hotel is false. This hotel is dirty and smells. This hotel is old and I dont know how this hotel is still allowed to be open and charge guests. I booked this hotel for my fiancé birthday for our trip out of town and I feel so horrible this is where I brought him. Wyndam should be ashamed of themselves for allowing guests to stay like this under their name
Positive: Location laws great close to restaurants in walking distance from hotel Negative: The room was horrible the hotel is under renovation and there¿s dust everywhere get to the floor where rooms are trash and dirt everywhere dust I ask if they would vacuum they only vacuum near the entry of my room the entire hallways torn drapes son Â
Although all the staffs were nice, the room was extremly dirty and had strong odor. Both bedding were dirty and the new sheets we got didnt change much. There were several roaches in the bathroom and the water didnt get warm. Some light bulbs were either missing or not working. On the top of that, their breakfast is almost nonexistent.
Positive: Nothing I wanted to receive my money back Negative: The second night I stayed in that hotel the tv wasn¿t working.. when I went to go take a shower the tub was nasty and the water was cold I did call a worker he came up to my room but after that I didn¿t see him anymore.. I was very uncomfortable whe
Room was nice and big dead was comfortable love the walk-in shower. But then half the lights did not work in the room he was no ironing board no hangers to hang your clothes on. They serve breakfast in the morning. Breakfast consisted of bagels, muffins, boiled eggs, weak apple juice, dry cereal and coffee. Google which we did not eat. When we came back from breakfast and I came to the room I know its a bed wasnt to make that meet up, I asked front and gas was their procedures are, she let me know that they dont do all of the cleaning and everything they do not overnight stays. And they did not wipe a table, or counter in the bathroom. Will not stay here again.
Positive: The hotel is in a good location right off 85 but on a side road so you don¿t hear lots of traffic noise. Negative: The hotel hasn¿t been updated since the 90s. The bathtub has mold i the corners and the carpet looked old and dirty. You could hear everybody that walked by in the hallway. It was just a very low quality hotel.
Positive: good location for gwinnett county. bad location for A tlanta I85 traffic is TERRIBLE to get to/from town. The Mall is closed and deteriating. the bed was comfortable..great pillows..TV screen was too small. Needs extra lighting and brighter bulbs Negative: be careful with the deteriation opf the area
Positive: The room was very clean. The staff are always helpful and friendly. Negative: The hotel lobby, and hallways have such a strong body odor smell. The guest are very loud, and let their kids just run about. The housekeeper actually went through my bag while I was out of my room. I knew exactly how I left my bag before I left.
Positive: I like the staff and how cordial they were. I like the location too. Negative: Yes. Once you get into the elevator, you begin to smell this old cigarette mixed odor. It was worse on the floors. I was on the 4th floor with an old souled-looking carpet , emitting a terribly bad odor.
Checked in the afternoon. And trying to open the door in the evening at 10pm. Door key did not work. Reset the key 4 times, and master key was also failed. And hotel manager wanted me to wait until 11pm to open it. And she cannot call the manager for the issue? Is it common that the customer must be waiting over an hour to get into the room?? It is the worst experience ever. Nobody is trying to help this poor customer.
Dirty hotel - our room was clearly not cleaned. There was hair on the pillows, stains on the pillow covers, and sheets. The carpet and couch looked so dirty. The bathroom looked unpleasant. We were put in a hall where it smelled like marijuana. Even the elevator smelled like marijuana and the hotel clearly states its a smoke-free facility. Needless to say, we checked in and left the same day and booked another hotel to sleep in. Just horrible and unpleasant. If Im on vacation to relax this definitely wasnt the place!
Very Dated....for your pricing the accommodation should be updated..later found out this hotel is used as an extended stay....Never would have stayed. The walls in the bathroom need to be wiped down....hair every where....kids running through the halls making noise....and the maid clean the room and left the trash on the desk....next time I will put it in the hall....but the lady behind the check in was amazing....she worked the mid afternoon shift.....AMAZING
This place used to be my dads favorite hotel to stay in Duluth/Atlanta area due to location and price but, he will never return after last nights experience. I booked the hotel for my dad and paid in full online. When he arrived, the guy at the front desk (a bit rude) helped with check-in and assigned him a room. When my dad opened the room, he was shocked to find out that it was already taken by another guest!! Just imagine resting at a hotel and suddenly your door gets opened by a stranger!!! So my dad quickly went back to the front desk and let them know that they gave him the wrong room. This guy didnt even apologize and just said that they dont have any rooms available for the night. Extremely frustrating because the time was already passing midnight.Total nonsense since 1) we already booked and paid in full PRIOR to arrival 2) then why did they even give us a room in the first place if they knew everything was fully booked? This just shows how poorly the hotel is being managed! Throughout the whole process, the front desk guy was so rude and gave zero care for his mistake. My dad asked for the manager (who didnt help much and had the same level of rudeness) but was able to finally get a room (obviously the front desk guy LIED about the hotel being full). So dont even bother....unless you want to suddenly not have a room that you already paid for or have a random person opening your door at midnight. Poorly organzied, horrible management, rude front desk, bad customer service.
We had bed bugs in the pull out sofa bed I saw the bug and took it to the front desk to see if we could get a different mattress for the pull out bed the front desk person told me the didnt have any and didnt care went back to the room my wife call the front desk about it and she ask if they can get one out the other rooms that was open she to my wife no and she would have to call her supervisor and she call us back and told us we could move to a different room 5/1/22 at 2:30am
This hotel was dirty I couldn’t even take a shower because the tub was filthy you can see the dirty spots and hair was all in the shower. I just waiting to get to my best friend house to shower. The comforter on the bed was no longer white the TV was so small I mean everything about this room was nasty the chairs and all.
The water barley got warm at all. There was food left in the microwave. Blood stain on the wall, spilled stuff on the wall. Then in the morning we had no water to brush our teeth or take a shower.A water pipe busted, which isnt their fault but they could of st least gave us a refund or coupon off on out next stay. Nothing.
I had a horrible experience staying here and to be honest, will never book with them again. My bed had bleach stains on the comforter. Also, the chairs in my room was dirty with a bunch of stains on it. I had mold in my bathtub and in my daughter room, she had rain leaking into her windows and a big hole in curtain. My first and last time booking with them
Great experience. Staff was extremely accommodating even before check in. Good size room everything cleaned properly. Cleaning staff very nice as well.l, our room was cleaned every morning and restocked with fresh items. There are different restaurants off property slightly up the street to eat at be mindful they close at 10 except Chilis which closes at 11. The area is quite and I felt safe.
This was one of our worst stays in years. While the desk clerk was amazing, we had to return to get new keys three different times. The first time the room was occupied, the second time the room was still being cleaned, and the third time the room was clearly under construction. We ended up on the smoking floor, clearly, and the room was extremely musty. Also the water in the shower was lukewarm at best. And the “breakfast” ?? Pathetic. The room seemed like it was stuck in the 1990s. Highly do not recommend this place.
Not the cleanest or the classiest hotel but the staff did an exceptional job. Overall the rooms were not that good at all i was really disappointed but I really need a place for that night so I settled for it plus my car had just broke down so it was not my normal situation at all. But again I appreciate the night staff and the morning staff they were really pleasant.
Stayed here for a week. Very clean, compliments to the cleaning staff. Front desk very nice. Comfortable enough, large room. Decent price at $71/night. Best part was the hot tub that had a good temperature. Lots of traffic with the conference rooms but still quite. Lots of restaurants close. Could use an update on the carpet. Carpet is the grossest thing. Would much prefer laminate.
Positive: The price. When I picked the location, I must have done something wrong because I ended up almost an hour away from where I wanted to be. It was probably because I focused on price and forgot location. Otherwise it was fine. Negative: The TV remote only allowed you to change channels by going up and down the scale one at a time. You couldnt punch in the channel that you wanted. It proved annoying if you were on channel 25 and wanted 52.
A good place to stay for the price. Near the Infinity Energy Center. Clean with small cosmetic paint overs. Has an indoor hot tub and small gym. Staff was friendly. Has plenty of covers on the bed and thick pillows. The room did not cool to the requested temperature but can cool down by choosing a more extreme temperature. The room had microwave, small fridge, coffee maker, TV, desk and complementary items. I would book this one again at the great prices they offer. Right next to a mall and several restaurants.
Nice place. Need carpet shampoo or change out. Atleast on 3rd floor. 1st floor room behind counter is dated. Old dirty chair and ottoman. Besides that, all is well. But they should definitely take that piece of furniture out. Its rather hideous and unsanitary looking. The workers behind counter are rather wonderful beautiful spirited people. I would stay again. Customer care is great.
First room smelled like a cigar. Was moved to 2nd room & it had no heat. Moved to 3rd room & hair dryer doesnt work..Breakfast was not much of anything...boiled eggs, pastries out of a box, ran out of coffee early, no waffles & nothing to make them with...was not what I expected but I guess I should have...
Positive: Locations and prices Negative: We smell smoked of weeds all over.. In the escalater hallway and even in the room i stayed ( its went thru the vents on the ceilings) we have to changed room 3 times...and the suite i booked (451 square v¿t turn out its was not hi
Man in the front desk was being rude to me I called the hotel so someone can confirm to me if my reservation was booked correctly and appeared in his system. He was talking over me and when one of my workers went to check in he was talking really bad about me to her, he was advising her to fire me. I called back because I am not a person that likes arguing and I strongly agree that everything can work out with words but this man was now denying everything he said and hung up on me. REALLY BAD SERVICE.
A group of us (22) stayed here for a week with our team. The staff members who stood out were January, December (I was told those were their names), who works at the front desk and Vivian (kitchen staff). These ladies were very friendly and courteous. They all went the extra mile. I could tell when they were off because things did not run as smoothly..especially the breakfast area. Vivian kept everything stocked immediately after food items were eaten by guest. She also kept the counters clean in between. The cons to this hotel were that there was limited choices for breakfast. I ate a bagel daily. I would recommend more hot food items. The rooms are old fashioned and had an odor. The washer was out of service when I needed to wash our teams uniforms, causing me to go to the nearest laundromat. Other than those things, we did enjoy our stay because of those 3 staff members.
The hotel was clean and quiet. Check in and check out was easy and fast, and both people we saw at the desk were friendly. The bed was comfortable. We would stay there again if we were in the area. The only negative is that the breakfast isnt much. If youre ok with muffins and cereal, then youll find what you need, but if you want a hot breakfast, plan to go out. We were leaving anyway, so it didnt matter. All in all, a very nice stay.
My wife and I picked this hotel because of the indoor whirlpool. When we arrived, the lady at the front desk was extremely friendly, and we immediately knew we had made the right choice. The whirlpool is amazing, and the largest one we have ever seen. The room itself is very nice, clean, and the bed is super comfortable. On any future stays, this is the only place we will consider.
We had a very nice stay here. The staff was extremely friendly and knowledgeable with the exception of one employee whom we asked if there was a laundry room on site and we only got a response of I dont know. I ended up asking housekeeping who provided the information to me. My kids enjoyed the pool and the breakfast was fresh and full of variety.
Well I gave 3 stars only because of the covid19. . The room was great ,the night attendent was great .the breakfast bar was not supplied good ,no milk no cereals,no orange juice ,no Danish . They closed asap at 5of 9 , we are handycaped and got there to eat something and everything was gone was told breakfast till 9 we said it was just 9 now . Was told sorry theres coffee, with an aditude. The morning attendent did not ask about our stay . Hope I can give a better evaluation in the future.do to covid19 no pool or spa , should have been a discounted stay .great shoer and room.
Staid here for 10 days in September and again for a few days in November. All the staff are amazing!!!! They go above and beyond to help their guest. The hot tub is so relaxing and they are one of the only ones that I have seen with a hot tub not to mention behind inside! Breakfast is nice. Bacon, sausage, biscuits, eggs, gravy, boxed cereal, oatmeal, grits, and waffles with OJ and Milk. Also yogurt most days. Fresh fruit would be nice but I know budgets make it harder. Love you girls!
This property is not a clean one and full of bed bugs. I caught a live bed bug and reported to.the management. The elevators are particularly very dirty round the clock. On top of that elevators and so slow and rarely both of them work. So you gotta wait around 2-3 minutes on average on your floor to get elevator access to you. I am cancelling my next 2 weeks stay only because of BEDBUGS. I am recovering from rashes now. Hope to recover soon.
I have stayed at this hotel many times and usually do when I come to GA. The staff is friendly and helpful the rooms are usually pretty nice, however. the shower is by far the worst I have ever experienced. I travel with my job and stay in a lot of places and it is the worst ever!! Either it is like someone holding a garden hose over your head (not high pressure. Im talking just the hose) or the water barely trickles out... please... please fix this. This is not just one room or just a particular floor. I have stayed in several different room and on all of the levels. It is the same.
Rooms were clean and staff was polite. However, we reserved a room with two queen beds online. When we arrived we discovered they do not have any such rooms. We were put in a room with two full beds. It was very uncomfortable to cram two people into a tiny full bed. We would not have stayed here if we had known there were not queen beds. False advertising. Very disappointed.
I made a reservation, and was running late so I added my bf name so he could check us in. He went to work later that night and I had car trouble and ended up leaving my car at my friends parents house, and caught a Lyft to my friends place since it was closer than the hotel. I called the hotel to request a late check out just to be safe and told her what was going on and she allowed me a 12pm check out. She then says what about your friend, are yall together? I was confused but I told her he was at work and that was that. So bf call me confused as to how and why Im calling him from the hotel phone lol. I told you he was at work like it was any of your business anyway! But thats your job so I went by your rules. But to call him AFTER I answered your question 🤔 makes no sense to me. You confirmed the check out already and I told you no one was in that room.
The room was clean, nice and large and was a good value overall. The bed was very comfortable. The staff was also friendly. However, the devil is in the details...by that I mean the small things are being neglected. There are areas of carpeting and trim and furnishings that are in need of repair or replacement. Torn and stained shower curtains are not acceptable and the bathtub needed resurfacing to cover up the rusted metal base. The shower curtain rod was coming out of the wall and the bathroom tile grout was in need of cleaning. The online photos make the place look prettier than it really is.The breakfast area food attendant needs to wear gloves and not use her bare hands to handle the food without utensils. This was brought to the attention of the front desk and they lied to me about her wearing gloves saying she does. Not happy when blatantly lied to.Also, everytime I stay at this location the room keys deactivate at 9 am on the day of check-out (Check-out is at 11 am). A re-activated room key only allows for a single use. It is quite aggravating to have to keep going to the front desk to get a new key to get back into my room.
My stay I would say was just average and plain. Nothing at all really stood out as nice or made me feel like my stay was a good value! The furnishings were old and unsightly while the continental breakfast was just undersized and just edible. I wasnt impressed but not upset!
Staff is friendly and helpful - Issa and December particularly. Rooms were clean and spacious - ssw pool from window and it was crystal clear. Hotel is off the beaten path so its quiet. Also, inside the rooms it was very quiet; must be sound-proofed as I never had to use ear plugs!
Dated property and poorly upkeep. Blood stains found on the sheets at check in and instead of having housekeeping come in to change the bedding, front desk dropped off sheets for us to change ourselves. Hot tub closed most of the stay. Gym equipment did not work! Overall wouldn’t recommend.
Wingate is located heart of Duluth. They have a huge suite room and a lot of my friends stay this hotel for convenient location and service. The hotel is just average, but I heard from one my friend that there was homeless person was sleeping at the stairway and sometimes by the elevator which is very scary... I hope the owner watch out more carefully to keep the customers to be safe...
It was a pleasant hotel with decent room space and clean accommodations. I needed to sleep on the roll out bed from the sofa, and was hoping it would be more comfortable. The counter staff were professional, courteous, and abundantly welcoming. The Jacuzzi was under repair, but the small pool was adequate for post business meeting relaxation. The small gym was empty and adequate for a light work out. The morning breakfast was better than the standard continental type, with adequate premanufactured eggs, sausages, baked goods, and the ubiquitous and satisfying waffle machine. My only complaints were the broken juice machine and the annoying ringtone of the cleaning lady as she received countless texts in the dining area.
It was a decent stay but I didnt really get any rest. My annoyance was that the maid who was cleaning the rooms down our hall was playing loud music on her phone in the morning and disrupted my sleep. When I tried to take a nap again in the afternoon she was next door and loud with her phone blasting music. Hotel walls are thin which is normal/common but it should be work etiquette for her not to be so noisy considering its a hotel and people might be sleeping in the next room
This is a very shady mgmt here. I made a booking online through a 3rd party website on behalf of a construction worker who was working at my house. When he went to stay there, the hotel charged him cash and more money for a new reservation even though there was a online booking at a cheaper price. The construction worker even showed a online reservation number. When i talked to front desk and the manager named January, she said there is nothing she can do and showed little bit of attitude. I had to call the online 3rd party company and cancel the reservation. In tough times, these guys are squeezing money from poor people. Please stay away from these folks especially those made online booking....Wyndam higher mgmt needs to know this and get rid of these franchise scamsters.....
My family and I are staying here for spring break. We arranged to stay here 3 nights. Upon arriving into the room we theres this awful smell. Im guessing its coming from the carpet. After getting settled and having our baths I notice that the girls covers are ripped, cotton coming out of them and all. Couldnt believe they used these covers but its late so we just go to bed. After one night we came back to our room after being gone a full day, ready to take a bath we arrive to a room that hadnt been cleaned. Dirty towels, trash and unmade beds. What a disappointment. Water pressure from the tub sucks we tried calling the front desk and realize you cant so we had to go down stairs. Glad we werent in trouble because we would have been screwed. My family is not happy and of course its my fault cause I booked this place.
Location is nice as it is right near the highway and also very accessible to most of the popular places in Duluth. Room cleaning happens fairly early in the morning around 9am. There is complementary breakfast that is good for a quick meal. Room and bathroom was clean although a little old.
My husband and I stayed at this hotel this weekend we had an awesome experience starting from the time I made the reservation until time time we left.It was funny because we met 2 sister by the name of January and December, they were the best and then we met Naima who we love. She was funny and helpful and Yes I will come back to stay there. Oh and the rooms were nice and clean. 😊😊😊💖💖💖
The beds where full not queens. They where also hard. I had to lay pillows on the bed under me just to try and sleep. The water in the shower took almost 15 mins to get even warm. They breakfast was just as bad. The bacon was covered in grease. Like they had poured the grease from the pans on top of it.
Stains on the carpet, crayon on the wall, broken lamp, and open condiments package in the first room. In the second room there was crumbs and dirty sheets on the pull out bed. To top it off the highest manager January Wilkinson was rude practically kicking us out as we tried to grab our things. Was only given half a refund, and then as I asked for a manager was rudely told that she was the manager and that there is no one above her.I will be reporting this to whatever authority I can within the city and state, as well as reaching out to the company that owns this particular hotel and the franchisor as well.
The hotel was very nice but I was overcharged for a room, but was told they could not credit my acct because they did not show I was charged. The manager was out of town , so after a week of it being on my acct, I found out it was a charge for paying another persons room. Needless to say I was not happy !!!! So be sure to watch your transactions!!!
We stayed here for a week when I relocated to Atlanta. The rooms were large enough for us. The breakfast was what you would expect from a free continental breakfast. The only thing keeping me from giving 4 stars is the elevator. As we were going down it began to violently shake. We notified the staff and she said she would turn disable the bad one. She sounded as though it wasnt the first time this had happened. Otherwise, a great stay.
Nice clean place we chose for Reuion in Atlanta. The area is very nice i drove around to see the area and its very close to the Mall countless stores and Hooters...i had a microwave in my room to heat my Hooter wings and a fridge to chill my beers couldnt be more pleased with this place.. And the continental breakfast is a nice start to the day. The staff was always speaking to us when we would leave and come back...receptionist helped me find a good movie theater to go see Lion King on one of the rainy days on the Vacation. Stay here! if you are in the area.
The price was reasonable, and check-in, and overall usability were seamless. This wasnt a five-star hotel by any means, but considering the reasonable price, this was a good value - clean, with up-to-date appliances and electronics in the room. I wouldnt mind staying again!
We were sent to two rooms that werent cleaned and still had other guests staying in them. When we finally were sent to the third room yes it was clean but I would never stay here again considering the hassle we had to go through to get into a clean and unoccupied room. Wish I could get my money back
Extremely disappointed, for starters... Ive stayed in this hotel a few times, I had no real issues. Nonetheless, during this stay I encountered something that annoyed the hell out of me and grossed me and my kids out...I checked in Sunday December 30th and didnt sleep well at all. I scratched all night long to the point I had welps on my body from scratching so hard and long. But I just chucked it up to possible dry skin... 🤔🤔🤔 The next night the itching and scratching continued, it woke me up out of my sleep. I jumped up grabbed my cellphone turned the flashlight on and discovered that I was being bitten by bedbugs. So the night before I wasnt indeed suffering from dry skin. It was, I became food for the bedbugs that was housed in the mattress in room 206.The General Manager, January Wilkerson seem to not be shocked by my discovery as if this wasnt the first time she heard this from her guest. After I told her about my experience she looked at me like I had 3 heads. I was mortified by the level of disconcern she had. She was emotionless... She didnt offer a way to make up for the poor experience. I was baffled. After I was done talking about my poor experience it was an awkward pause with her starring at me. Just a terrible experience. She made a bad experience worst by not taking action to make the experience for me and my kids better.I also have pictures and videos of the bed bugs crawling on the sheets.
The room was clean and spacious. But,1) compared to Hampton Inn this pales in comparison2) morning breakfast lacks healthy items such as hot oatmeal or Kellog K cereal3) yogurt served has gelatine so cannot be consumed by vegetarians4) timing 6am to 9am everyday for breakfast smacks guests in the face, if you wake up a bit late.I highly doubtful if ever return to this Wyndham property

2022-01-17I arrived and got my key, entered my room to be greeted by unmade dirty beds, dirty towels in the bathroom, overflowing trash cans and an atrocious smell. So I went down to the lobby and informed the receptionist that my room was terribly dirty, and she told me, and I quote “I am not going to clean it”. So I requested another room, went and opened the door, greeted by another mess. Three trips to the lobby later, she gave me a third room option, although this time the room had some one IN IT. I apologized quickly and got me and my entire family’s belongings, requested a full refund and went next door to the Quality inn. Terrible reception staff, no housekeeping evident, bad experience all around…

2022-04-23Employee was cleaning up parking lot thus morning and had noticed I had dropped my wallet full of money!! I was just about to pull, was on my way to purchase a car. Which is the reason I had over $3,000 in cash in my wallet. This employees name was Terry and Terry was my Angel sent from above this morning. Terry thank you and God Bless You! I was upset with the quality of my room and service, but after thus morning I will definitely be back. Its hard to find good hard working honest individuals like yourself. Wingate should be honored to have you as apart of their team!!

2022-04-16Positive: The front staff was really nice, That¿s about the only good thing I can say about this hotel. Negative: Yes, Everything! Granted they were doing remodeling, but the first room I checked in at apon arrival, seemed nice, but I started to notice German roaches in the bathroom, moved to another room and it was horrible! The carpet, the smell, the beds, just NO.

2022-01-18Not as good as other Wingates I have been too. The room smelled of smoke as did the elevator. Battery was removed from the fire alarm. Other than the smoke smell, the room and linens were clean. Smallest TV I have seen in a while in a King room. Certainly could use some updating. Room key had to be reset. Staff was nice during the short interaction.

2022-06-03Until now I have never read the reviews on a Wingate hotel because all the ones Ive ever stayed in were nice. This experience taught me to never make that mistake again. We didnt get the room we booked so we had to stay in a room with no bathtub. It smelled like urine and when I asked to switch rooms I was told there werent any available and was given some glade spray that smelled like flowers which is a scent that I do not like. I could go on and on about this particular hotel so Ill just finish with DONT DO IT! Worst experience ever!! I came home with a barf bag because the smell actually made me sick to my stomach!

2022-06-12Wouldnt recommend going here right now because of they are renovating, and the establishment is really old. Besides that the rooms are pretty sanitary and their service is pretty quick. The most annoying part of our stay had to be when the key card was constantly failing to unlock our door. We had to get it fixed no less than 4 times during our 1 week stay. That was my main complaint, but I hope they fix it after renovations. No real complaints besides that, but it was not the most enjoyable stay in the long run because of how old everything was.

2022-04-26Outraged with the attitude from the front desk lady with glasses. I rarely leave negative reviews but this one cannot be ignored.. From the beginning she did nothing but have an attitude to every question I asked. Finally was so upset I wanted to look up a different hotel and kindly asked if I could sit to make a couple phone calls. She goes “how long??” I just replied until I can reach my parents to let them know we’re not staying here.

2022-04-17Positive: Good bed mattress. No problem for the basic service. Almost everything is average. Negative: Dusty top of tables. Not good breakfast. Janitors got in the room even I hung a do-not-disturb tag on the door.

2022-06-16Positive: Wi-fi is free but not the greatest depending on where youre room is located. If you are in the middle part of the hotel it tends to work better than if youre the far ends of the hotel. Negative: Some rooms host the smell of marijuana and Im not a fan of pets in hotels even though they are pet friendly.

2022-06-23Do not waste your money, notice most good reviews are 3 years old etc. The hot tub is emptyThe hot breakfast is using the toaster.. they have cheap muffins and cereal and toast. OJ machine is broken. They take your card info for incidentals, yet they only have soda in the refreshment cooler… and only take cash for the drinks. Under construction so lobby and hallways are disaster, tubs are gross. The new vinyl flooring doesn’t get cleaned properly so it’s sticky. Maybe they should change the name to LOSEgate?
