This is definitely a hidden gem in the heart of Brunswick. A quick walk from the marina. My friends and I enjoyed our lunch inside. The music is very soothing and mellow (folk), the decor very cozy and the atmosphere felt inviting. Our server took time to explain the menu and desserts to us. Every item was very appealing. I decided on the Reuben which was perfect. Later we were undecided on the desserts. Our server brought out carrot cake, moist and I guarantee I can eat the whole cream. Not too sweet and you can tell it’s homemade. All around wonderful restaurant.
Gives me rustic cottagecore and cozy tea time with a pastry by the fire vibes. Take a seat at one of the eco-friendly & upcycled rustic booths inside or have an alfresco brunch in the warm sun amongst the greenery and birds. Perhaps you want to find a quaint area to read a book or chat with a friend - simply peruse the second floor (youll see). Be prepared to be enchanted and welcomed by their hospitality because I know I was!Oh and gluten-free sandwich bread (extra $) is on the menu folks! Enjoy 😉
This is my favorite place to eat in all of south GA. Everything they serve is made fresh, and you will taste the difference. Try the veggie burger with a starter of hummus. For breakfast do the breakfast sandwich or the fruit and granola bowl. You will not regret it!! Go here at least once a week!!
These people at the Yellow Deli in Brunswick are down to earth, warm and friendly. I love going there and it is always a fun and mellow experience. The food is great and very wholesome. Wonderful service. There is a neat place on the second floor where you can sit and drink a tea and just read if you want. A sandwich starts a about $8.00 and that come with chips or slaw. And the sandwiches are a good size not some little wimpy thing on your plate.
While traveling from SC along I95 to FL, we needed to stop for lunch. Came across the Yellow Deli on the Happy Cow website. What an amazing place, and story behind it. You will have to go yourself and ask questions to learn about it. The food was delicious, the staff were outstanding and the atmosphere was warm, welcoming, and relaxed. We highly recommend this restaurant.
Great little place tucked away in a quiet neighborhood just minutes from Jekyll Island. We tried the peach and mango mate which were very tasty but not overly sweet. We both got Turkey on a Kaiser roll and it was a phenomenal sandwich. The bread was fresh and had great flavor and all of the toppings were delicious and the portions are perfect. My kids shared a hot dog which they devoured. The atmosphere is kind and light with the outdoor seating being relaxing with nice weather. I cant wait to go back and try other items and even some of their homemade desserts, soaps, and treats.
The people are super nice and the food is good. I went there with my boyfriend, and it has a really cozy atmosphere. There are seats tucked around the corner from where you order, which offers some privacy. There is also an outdoor seating area which is also beautiful. The vibes are very cozy bookstore coffee shop ...with no books but pamplets on the yellow deli organization. I ordered the belgian waffle, spinach turnover, and me and my bf were gifted smoothies. I had the pina colada and it was the right blend of creamy, sweet and tangy. The waffle was warm and the blackberry currant syrup was so so delicious. I would def recommend this place!!
Visiting from out of town and this adorable deli was recommended by a friend. Wonderful service, all the staff members work together well and are very friendly and helpful. Outdoor is super cute and tables/chairs were perfectly spread out. It was a nice relaxing atmosphere to enjoy their delicious food! Would go out of my way to visit again!
Delicious, affordable, and homemade. The breakfast sandwich was amazing with homemade bread. My wife and I also had a waffle which was fantastic. Belgian Waffle, salty butter and 🍁 real maple syrup - cant beat that! Had the Mango Mate - wow - but the lemon lime mate was even better. Cant say enough about this place. We will be back for sure....
Oh my gosh! Great food! The soups are outstanding! People are lovely & very nice. I had a half chef salad with their homemade house dressing. Yum! I also had a cup of homemade soup. Delicious. Soup comes with a slice of homemade bread.....get the picture? Homemade!! Great sandwiches, soups & salads. Desserts look great, i just am too full to try one. You have to try this great place.
People there are warm 😁 and friendly every time I go there. Food is great and healthy. No junk food there. Food is very affordable. Mellow down to earth atmosphere and the music playing in the background is the same. You can sit inside or outside. Truly a great place to experience.
If you are cautious of the COVID-19 virus, please do not go here. My grandmother and I visited today and didn’t have the best experience simply because one of the employees sneezed in our food, not once, not twice, but THREE times while standing over an open box that contained a meal. When I asked him to please remake it, they all seemed to have a problem with It. Im sorry for wanting to enjoy my food without another person’s Germs on it! If they can openly sneeze in food in front of guests, I cant imagine what happens behind closed doors. The service was poor. The lady who took my order was awkwardly sarcastic for no reason, yet pursued the next guest after me with the utmost service and even put their money directly In their hand! My receipt and money was rudely sat on the counter in front of me, while my hand was open. I don’t want to bring race into this, but it seems like so. I’ve always loved the Yellow Deli in high school, but it’s obvious things have changed; I won’t be back!
I loved this place so much. One of the best eateries I have ever been to. Top 5 in my book. What first hits you is that the place is beautiful, outside and inside. You can pick any seat you like, and youll have a lovely view. Inside it feels like the inside of a hobbits house: earthy colors, plants growing on the walls, wooden light fixtures, burlap lining the ceiling. They really worked on this place. And the counter is adorned with delicious looking loaves of bread and other baked goods. There is a good choice of music playing (relative, but atleast it fits the place). The employees all look like interesting characters with stories to tell. They were very polite and patient with me. Its clear that they like what they do.I got a sandwich called Deli Rose and a custom drink they brew called mango mate. The drink was tasty, but the sandwich was fantastic! It practically melted in my mouth! It was hot and juicy and they didnt slack on the sauce. Wonderful sandwich. I didnt know I could enjoy a sandwich so much. Joined by a pickle and homemade chips. If youre in Brunswick, do yourself a favor and give this place a look. I will absolutely be back.
To start, the exterior of the building is beautiful, and the garden seating area has an amazing atmosphere for seating. Upon entering the building you find beautiful craftsmanship, a cozy atmosphere, and amazing murals of nature. The staff are welcoming and very nice. Multiple came to get to know us a little, and greeted us in a very sincere manner. The story behind the people who created this restaurant is awesome, and the detail and time they have put in to making this place their own is fantastic. We will definitely be back for more tea and sandwiches. This is for sure going to be our little get away from realities of the real world.
They’ve been very patient with me over the phone in regards to my dietary questions. They are not an all organic restaurant per se. However they seem to be making a lot of good choices in regards to what people are consuming.God BlessP.S. Lat time I was there; they really seemed to have the A.C. cranked up inside. That be said I am almost never in air conditioned environments. Even while driving etc. I’ve you are trying to repair your Thyroid and get chilly easy, you might consider their lovely seating area outside. It is tranquil and even has a soft relaxing waterfall type of setup for the Cuoi fish pond. The make many of their breads and other things in house. Please support these folks in trying to supply people with real food.(The following is more of a review of the people themselves and their living communities) I am writing this because I’ve seen many reviews for other Deli locations that are sometimes a bit critical of these folks, probably mostly from people that have never visited any of the actually communities. They usually try to help people out if they can really tell someone is in need. They are faith based.Yes I understand there (may) be some controversy behind their communities. Most people may not be aware of this and am certainly not trying to stir anything up here with this post.I’ll say this. There are two side to every story. No one is perfect and no community is ever always 100% perfect. They seem to really be after God’s heart though and doing a lot better the many other people of the world at these days.I hope this doesn’t offend anyone personally though. I’m just saying on average they seem to have excellent morales. I’ve busted a few of their communities now and I don’t really feel they are they way they have sometimes been portrayed in the media by people who may have a strong bias against certain religious crowds. The children they have seem happy to me. I pray that their communities keep growing and improving and that they blessed with all the resources they need to flourish in the communities and all of their delis.I pray the people that help make large scale decisions for the communities are allowed the discernment they need to make they best decisions they.
Friendly service, a rustic whimsical setting, and wholesome handcrafted deli fare make this not only a worthy go-to neighborhood cafe, but a welcome detour for those just passing through. Glad I stopped and look forward to the next visit. The parmesan and green onion garnished tomato soup with a slab of buttered sourdough was amazing.
I love The Yellow Deli!!! The food is delicious, the staff is friendly and feels like family, and you will not leave hungry! Once you step inside, the environment is calming, comforting, and home like. The outside is beautiful and peaceful! It is a wonderful experience no matter how many times you go!
With its yellow exterior and outdoor patio seating, to its eclectic but cozy inside dining, The Yellow Deli is certainly a downtown hidden gem.Don’t let the tranquil atmosphere and wholesome menu confuse you into thinking it’s “hippie food”, because it’s certainly not.Their simple menu allows them to focus on doing one thing, and one thing well, serving good food that’s also good for you! With a farm to table mindset, they bake and prepare tasty food that would appeal to just about anyone, at a price that won’t hurt your wallet either. They offer a range of beverages that you might not find elsewhere such as Maté and Chai, they also have your traditional Sweet (or Unsweet) Teas, Coffee & Bottled SodasWell worth the trip! Your tummy will thank you for it!Don’t forget to grab a baked good for later!
Great lunch spot in the historic area of Brunswick. Friendly and helpful staff, delicious food, great atmosphere inside, and a lovely patio outside. They bake their own bread, which is soooo tasty. Don’t miss this very unique and fun establishment. I’ll be back for sure!
Ive gone to this place for several years now. They are hard at work improving their facility and have never let their service suffer from the construction conditions. Its a small-run store with a lot of love put into the establishment. The staff is very kind and the food is wonderful. Their house-made goods such as their mango matte and granola are very satisfying. My wife and I will always enjoy a trip to the Yellow Deli!
We absolutely loved our first visit to this place! The food was amazing, best sandwiches weve ever had! The service is great too, very friendly and welcoming people. And for 2 of us to each have a lunch, a mango drink that was delicious, plus a big bag of granola, we only spent around 25 bucks. I will tell everyone about this place!
Yellow Deli is off the beaten path but well worth the effort! The gentleman who helped us was so helpful. He gave us samples of their special tea blends and he explained the menu to us decide what to order. The food was incredible!!! We purchased a couple loafs of their fresh baked bread. We will definitely be going back!
Great people and great food! I met Lee in St. Marys Georgia where I used to fish all of the time. He and his wife invited my girlfriend and me out to their house for dinner and live music. Lee showed us the yellow deli our first visit to Brunswick. If you like home baked goods and a great atmosphere, please come in and enjoy everything they have to offer:)
What a lovely little spot!! We first popped in here on a bike ride and were blown away by how cute it is, not to mention the yummy food. Of course we have been back since. Definitely make time to stop in if youre in Brunswick. They have excellent flavored yerba mate cold teas that they let you sample, we have tried the waffle, poached eggs, toast, spinwich sandwich, hot dog and excellent muffins. All of it is good and the interior is like stepping into a cosy wood cabin in the alps with lovely music. So welcoming. Theyre expanding, so the dining area is small right now, but they have several tables inside and out and such lovely staff. Love it!
Its hard to desribe this experience..... run by the nicest group of people that youll ever meet. They make all their own bread and pastries onsite. I work in Brunswick and eat here at least once a week. Ive taken lots of friends here and they all say the same. The ambience is so unique. Great music. A nice quiet place to relax with a cup of tea. I HAVE HAD EVERY DESSERT THEY MAKE..........YOU CAN NOT GO WRONG HERE!
Delicious! This was my first time going and its hard especially in this area to find vegan options. I had the veggie burger with mango mate and an oatmeal raisin cookie. Everything is made inhouse even down to the spelt roll and vegannaise. Loved everything and will be back again
WOW, What A Bakery!I visited the Brunswick, Georgia, Yellow Deli Bakery and I must say that I love the atmosphere and the baked delights I brought home were delicious! The staff were very friendly and courteous!I highly recommend the Yellow Deli Bakery for a YUMMY experience!
I moved to North Atlanta and I miss this place the best sandwich EVER! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. The turkey cheddar on and eggroll served hott. I couldnt wait to have one. Along with a mango mate Delish quaint fresh and peaceful lil hidden treasure. Great breakfast lunch and bakey.
We saw this place pop up in the middle of the residential historic part of Brunswick..wondered where it came from and why..fast forward 6 years later, sitting here watching a documentary on cults, and up pops The Yellow Deli! It’s a money making and recruitment tool for The Twelve Tribes! Disgusting that they would move in to an area where some youth see no other way out of home situations or lifestyles and then lure them in to something worse!

2022-06-12We stopped based on Google reviews... And we were not disappointed. Food was excellent! The sandwich I got had turkey, avocado, sprouts, lettuce, tomato... Amazing! Hubby got the yogurt parfait, it had honey and fresh fruit and perfect granola. Yum! Strawberry cheesecake was SOOOOOO good! We would definitely eat here again and I would absolutely order the cheesecake again! 💯

2022-01-29First time here after moving to the area and heard so much about it, and I was amazed how great it was. Exceeded my expectations 10 fold. The food, service and atmosphere about the best it can be. I had the corn beef sandwich with cup of tomato basil…wow. Absolutely perfect. The homemade coleslaw, bread perfect. My wife had sandwich and soup also. Pickles fresh. The staff about as friendly as you can get, but the inside atmosphere was stunning. Whoever the decorator was did an amazing job. We sat upstairs, very cozy. Prices reasonable also. Thank you!!

2022-04-04Absolutely wonderful restaurant! Highly recommend. The food is fresh and so is the bread. They make the bread homemade and the coleslaw. I don’t normally like coleslaw because so many people put sugar in it, which is not my preferred way, but theirs is perfect. They use Boarshead meat in the Ruben (and perhaps more) which is delicious. Try the chai tea either hit or cold, it is delicious. They seem to put a lot of love into food and the restaurant overall. The atmosphere is great. Really pretty Celtic music. There is lots of seating indoors and outdoors. There is lots of hand carved wood everywhere. A small store where they sell some hair care products, baked goods, breads, teas, and more.

2022-07-05This place is adorable, and most of their stuff is home made. Their teas has a large selection of herbal, and their staff is very nice. Prices are kinda high but totally worth it. Perfect for lunch, or just to chill out with a thing of tea.

2022-03-21Quaint, tranquil victorian house turned restaurant. Great quality & tasteful foods, fair pricing and nice break from the hustle and bustle. Natural sodas that are SO good. Gluten Free options available.

2022-01-03I never really felt compelled to make a review of most places. However, this particular restaurant deserves it. Their old fashioned restaurant style is breath of fresh air compared to a majority of the restaurants I see nowadays. Their atmosphere is amazing and they have very good food. All the employees there are some of nicest people I have met. Its a great place to leave your worries behind and enjoy yourself.

2022-06-30The woman (wish I remembered her name) who took my order was so kind. She made sure my first visit was incredible. Service was amazing. The sandwich, was the best sandwich I’ve ever eaten. And I love a good sandwich. The carrot cake is to die for. The atmosphere was a cherry on top. This is my new GO TO place.

2021-11-07Awesome spot for lunch! Beautiful space with healthy(ish) options and a wonderfully friendly staff. Calming music and lighting with the sounds of fountains set a great backdrop for a Sunday lunch as our kids played on the patio. Loved the Reuben and Turkey Sandwiches.
