Do not use this gym. They charged my husbands card after he filled out a freeze form over a month ago. They claim it was the wrong form that THE ASSOCIATE gave him. They charged his card FRAUDULENTLY. They will be reported once the transaction posts. The manager pretty much just said too bad so sad and gave no resolution. Bad business practices.Update: the regional manager claimed my husband would receive a refund within 30 days. It has now been over 30 days, and no money back. Shocking. Im normally not this person, but Youfit will be reported for fraudulent business practices. If you care about your money, go to another gym that wont SCAM you.Another Update: We finally reported it as fraud to our bank. Now our bank is having trouble with getting the money back. Thats how we know we would have never gotten our money back. We will be reporting you to all sites possible to warn people about your pathetic scam artist practices. Btw, they use 3rd party billing in which they will not allow you to contact unless through the general email (which we havent heard back from in over 1 month).
This gym is so amazing!! where do i begin?!?! walking in you get greeted with a smile and a wonderful warm welcome, the locker rooms and bathrooms are always clean, and the atmosphere is fairly friendly. there is wonderful mix between machines and weight but overall this gym is so great and i have only been coming here for a month!😁😁
Incredible staff! After a few visits I immediately felt like going to the gym meant getting to see some of my friends. Michael was extremely helpful setting up my membership and Taylor is an EXCELLENT trainer! This location is never too crowded. Definitely has its times where its more full than others but I havent found myself taking significant amounts of time waiting around for something to open up.
Do not utilize the gym personal training they offer. They do not adequately explain the exercises to you and hardly spend any time whatsoever. The fees are completely outrageous. My first personal trainer had quit without even letting me know and was without training for weeks. I tried to cancel my membership but was not given proper forms to. Absolutely abysmal experience.
One star for dishonest people that work here. The manager and the staff clearly do not stick to their words on how gym membership works. We clarified with them several times on what our membership included, but it seems like they make their own rules and they change everytime we go in. Should have gotten what they said in writing.
Nice little gym. I have been coming here for a couple years now. It is usually pretty clean, However the mens locker room always smells terrible. They need to figure out a way to keep it smelling fresher. Also it would be nice if the water fountains actually produced cold water instead of room temperature. Overall it is not a bad gym, and the best part is it is very affordable.
My experience has been great. You Fit is not too big, not over crowded and is always clean. This place is for people who want to get fit, not hang out or show off. The staff and trainers are never too busy to answer questions or address your needs. You do need to schedule at least a week or more in advance to get the best times on some of the trainers schedules though. I regularly work with a trainer and can see the results of being a member.
Havent been in a gym in over 3 years. Im a retired veteran and 100% disabled. I have limited mobility due weight gain and lack of motivation. I walked into YouFit just because the colors and appearance was an excellent eye catcher.The young lady at the front desk gave me an overview of the benefits and was so persistent in a nice respectful way.I joined even though I was recovering from a back procedure and this was September and today was my first visit because of the recovery process, plus I fell and bruised my rib cage.When I walked in to schedule my appointment, I was greeted with smiles.Kevin took his time to listen to my health issues and I feel the program and plan was made just for me.I was made to feel special and Kevin heard every word I said.He IS AWESOMENESS THAT NEEDS TO BE BOTTLED AND SOLD.Gentleman, professional and gives you his full attention.I would recommend this organization to everyone any age. My actual trainer is 73 with the body and mobility of a 21 year old.
Dont normally give reviews, but this gym, its manager, trainers and location are fantastic in my experience as a three year, 54 years young member. Its a gym for every gender, age, shape and size. Newly appointed mid 2018 Manager Kevin happily resolved my recent corporate-driven training package issue with ease and grace. I was so impressed with his willingness to help sort out matters to my benefit that I signed up for two more reasonably priced corporate training packages that fit even my limited budget. If youre looking for a trainer that knows his stuff (besides Kevin) Ive worked with Steve to sculpt a body that I knew was there. Just didnt know how to find it. My health and well being has not been at this level in over ten years. Ive observed that the staff are kind, willing and ready to help any gym clients. All we have to do is ASK! Check it out. Fees are reasonable with varied locations that fit my busy travel schedule.
First of all, the place is kept clean! It is immaculate, with machines and weights kept in top condition. The staff are friendly and helpful, and the patrons seem to be a good group - you dont feel out of place here. Personal training and group classes are available if you want them, but you can also do your own thing. I especially like that, on the strength training side, they have multiple machines for each workout, so you almost never have to wait for a machine. Its hard to beat the price for what you get.
The trainers and staff are wonderful here. This facility is clean and neat as well. I have been working with their personal trainer Steve and have lost 31lbs to date. He keeps my routine changing in order get results. I have also worked with Kevin some and he is a great trainer as well. Love this gym!!
Great gym! Been going here for 3 years. Good atmosphere, everything is always clean, and they have all the equipment I need. Must be a decent place to work because 80% of the employees have been there as long as I’ve been working out there. Only con is they need a location further north.
Went for a day pass, though the price was $10 for the day, a bit higher than other gyms from my home state, I agreed due to their professionalism, kindness, the lack of amount of people in the gym, and the front desk girls pretty smiles.The gym was extremely clean, very Barney colored, but did the job.This had a semi Planet Fitness feel to it? Yet, did not have a ‘hunk’ alarm, French Fry Friday, and the staff were in shape. Since I live out of state and visit the area once a month for a few days at a time, if a deal could have been made, I would have created a membership.
Relatively inexpensive with great member discounts at various stores. The trainers and other staff are really friendly and great to work with if you choose. There are plenty of things to do including free weights, weight-training machines, treadmills, elliptical, rowing, and even a circuit training area. They have locker rooms equipped with showers, as well.Ive been going here for around a year and Ive felt very motivated to keep going back.
This is my first ever gym membership and I have had a great experience so far - the staff is friendly, the environment is clean, and the equipment is in great condition and fixed quickly if broken. I am currently using a trainer and have enjoyed that experience as well (but be mindful this can run $30-40 per session if budget is a concern)The place is small but what do you expect for $10 a month? Its comparable to Workout Anytime, Life Time Fitness, etc. but never feels too crowded except for maybe a couple hours in the evening when all the weighted cable stations are in use. There are usually always treadmills and ellipticals free.Seems to be that the biggest complaint in prior reviews is for canceling the membership, but I opted to pay for a year in advance as opposed to the month-to-month plan so hopefully this wont be an issue. It was only 100 bucks when I signed up, so if you can afford it up front, you may as well use this option and avoid the potential hassle later on.
Five stars for sure! A convenient location, less than five minutes from my home. Flexible hours of operation, even during this COVID. Friendly, knowledgeable and professional staff. The monthly membership cost is reasonable. I have been a member since 2017 and I have been very satisfied. I can definitely recommend YouFit Kennesaw to anybody in search of a gym.
This is such a great club. I got a free day pass and so glad I used it! The whole gym is painted with bright colors and lots of natural light. They gym has all the equipment you need no matter if you are a novice or expert gym goer! The staff are pleasant people and willing to help. A lot of space to move around. The gym is in the corner of the complex. Kroger etc are in the same area. Workout and go eat at Kroger! The words youfit are green! Wow
I recently switched my membership to Youfit (from LA Fitness and Lifetime). For one, no one pressures you here. It sells itself. It is so cheap too! $10-$20 a month, always month-to-month and no big signup fee! This is by far my favorite gym Ive ever been to. Its really clean and I see them mopping every time Im there. They have the best equipment and all of my favorite machines. Everyone is nice here and no one is weird or pushy. No one tries to sell their services to you, they pretty much leave you alone, which I love. They have some personal trainers, too, which arent pushy and are very nice. When you sign up, you get a free personal training session. The employees always greet you coming in and out of the gym which makes me feel important to them. Other gyms dont really seem to do that from my experience. Ive been able to reach some of my goals here and plan on staying here for a very, very long time. Its not too big and not too small inside. Its bigger on the inside than it looks from the outside. I love that theres a Kroger next door too so I can get my workout and grocery shopping done in one swoop lol! I am very impressed with this gym. It is never crowded either! I rarely ever have to wait on a machine, even in the evening. Their crowd is much smaller than crowds at other gyms. This gym gives an intimate but personal feeling. I never feel uncomfortable here or like I have to compete with other people. Plus, theres controllable fans and TVs with like 40 channels on most (if not all) of the cardio equipment! Great atmosphere! I highly recommend this place!!
When I moved to Kennesaw my wife and i attended a local , rather small but very convenient 24-hour gym. We cancel our membership due to management issues. Getting started to attend a large big box gym I did not care for it at all. Then we found YOUFIT here in Kennesaw its absolutely perfect! everythings always clean, new equipment and staff is friendly but stay out of your way . just a great place to work out with good people. Like others have stated, trying to handle my membership in this pandemic has been a disaster. They told me it would be frozen for a certain amount of time, that was false, they initially were charging me at the start of pandemic, then when I eventually canceled my membership, they told me the wrong amount. So now I am being charged for training fee and my account is not fully canceled when I asked how much was due the first time when I was there. They smile to get you in there but make it hard to quit them. Never again
Love this gym! The workers are so sweet!!Update: I no longer feel this way. I called because they took $ out of my account without me knowing how much would be coming out. So here I am at a gas pump with an 8 month old out of gas and card getting declined, trying to figure out how I’m getting us home. Just to be told there’s nothing they can do. Well people if I were you, I’d read everything and make sure you call often and make sure of the date and time they will randomly take your money. Never again!!! I called multiple times in April, May and June and got no answer. Trying to cancel a membership that I cannot use. Thanks for nothing!!!!
Scam of the century… I sign up online. I go in my first day & everything was fine. Everton was so nice. Fast forward to 60 days later and I get this $50 charge. I call and ask what it’s about & the lady on the phone tells me it’s an annual charge. I told her I wasn’t made aware of this when I came on my first day and that when I try to pull my contract up online to review it their website shuts down. She tells to me (and I quote) “you mean your first day coming into the club after signing up online? Oh. We’re not trained to go over your membership with you.” I couldn’t believe what I was hearing! I WILL Abe filing with the BBB and I will find a way to call their corporate office. I’m canceling my membership tomorrow (which you have to do in person). Such a rip off.
I was a member of this location over a year ago and I suggest that you stay away from the personal training people! I actually forgot to write a review of what happened originally, because of the long process I went through with them and my bank. Anyway, I signed up for the training and not because I wanted it, but because the guy just wouldnt let that stupid introduction meeting end. They basically force you to attend so that they can pressure you into buying training. At the time I just wanted him to shut up so I told him I would do the 3 months. I went to him after the first month to cancel and signed a notice. When the 3 months were up the paperwork was lost and they continued to draft from my account. I went back in to find out why. They apologized, but there was nothing they could do about me getting my money back. Then, I fill out another form and they assured me that they fixed everything. I should have no issues. Fast forward to this week. I received an email from them saying they want to forgive my past due balance. WHAT BALANCE? I dont owe you all a dime!!!! If anything your poor ethics having company should be reimbursing me for 5 months of training fees that I only used 2 sessions of, but no thats not enough for you all. You all want to say now that the last paperwork I filled out was done only 2 weeks before the next payment was due, so I would still have to pay the fee for the following month. People reading this...PLEASE STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY!!!! THEY LIE AND CHEAT. THEIR CONTRACT IS DESIGNED TO SCREW YOU OVER!!! DONT DO IT!!! If it was allowed I would give them a -20!I have been a member of Planet Fitness ever since. The training is FREE and the monthly & annual fees are about the same!!!
I only came for information and the employees made u feel very welcoming. They have plenty of information they share with u and alot of knowledge on equipment. Other places i have had memberships with,0 the only ones with all the knowledge of equipment were the trainers. So thats great. The prices were great better then any other gym i just couldnt committ without income.they also provode tanning beds. Thats one of my favs.
Make sure you understand their cancelation policies prior to signing up. My wife joined right before we moved out of the area, which means she did not attend the gym. She attended at most a handful of times. She attempted to cancel over the course of the year numerous times to only be told she had to cancel in person, which was not practical as I travel for a living and we only have one vehicle. I therefore paid every month for a membership she never used because we couldnt get to the location to cancel. After being charged for the yearly fee I called the location to be told she could have canceled with a Certified Letter a year ago yet she was never told that option. They bounced her bank account when the yearly came out because she hadnt planned on it coming out. Tried calling the 800 number only to find you are just directed to the location of your zip code. They must be hurting for money when making cancelation so difficult. Steer clear.
They are terrible with cancellation!! I regret signing up with them they had made it very difficult i did the training session and was told that i can cancel at any time they failed to tell me that i would be locked in for 3 months before I could cancel. To cancel my membership i was told i needed to come in i went and paid 10$ cancellation fee and they still had charged me 2 weeks later for another month I called for a refund and was told it will be a month before i could get my refund i waited patiently its almost a month and half and no refund!! BE CAREFUL before you sign up with them.
Pretty good size gym. It can get a little warm in the winter time with all the bodies moving about.They dont have an exercise room but they do have the machine side, machine side, amd cardio section. The bathrooms and lockers/showers are aleays clean. Their variety of equipment and affordable monthly fees keeps me coming to this location.
Just as others have reviewed, I have never had as much difficulty canceling a membership, as I am having with this Youfit. I cancelled my membership with then in June, and was told that I would be finished once I came into the gym and signed a cancellation agreement. I am now 2 months down the line with an additional 60$ in fees and dues taken from my account, without any cancellation pending. After complaining through the appropriate forums, I have now been informed that signing a cancellation agreement is only a request, and that these requests will be followed up on by a store advocate that will try and ensure I retain my membership. If i have been forced to go into the gym to sign a waiver canceling my membership, you can be sure that I truly desire to cancel the membership.Now I am being told that because I did not pick up the phone on one occasion that they (apparently) tried to contact me, I am still liable for the 60$ that has been incurred during the past 3 months, AND I have to pay 10$ addtional for them to process my cancellation!! This is more predatory and shoddy business practices that continue to define this industry as a whole.I hope someone else learns from the multitude of warnings that have been posted here, AVOID THIS GYM!!!
Make sure you learn about the cancelation process when you first sign up. Not the bullshit they tell you to get you to sign up but the actual contract. Just like everyone else in these reviews I ended up getting charged the annual fee because I didnt answer the ONE phone call the owner gave me. He wont even try to fix it hell just string you along days and days just to tell you he cant process your refund. Getting in contact with the owner might be harder then contacting the president
I should have seen it coming. Ive been trying to cancel for weeks and they make different excuses about why they havent contacted me and why my membership hasnt been canceled. They neglected to tell me (until after I signed up) that after three months everyone pays a 40$ service fee. If you plan on joining you fit make sure you NEVER want to leave because they are so absolutely terrible about letting you stop paying. I would never recommend them.
I think you can tell a lot about a gym by the people who love it. Note that the people who love this gym are probably already in good shape or are massive meatheads.I dont ask for much from a gym, just a friendly acknowledgement of my existence and appreciation for the fact that I pay for their earnings, but thats apparently way too much to ask for from Youfit. Their obligatory greetings and farewells are so obviously forced its not even funny. Seriously, if youre going to pretend to care, at least make it believable and make eye contact! Mumbling, Hi, how are you, and nothing more doesnt really cut it.Again, if youre already in great shape, then you will fit in perfectly here, because either the girls will flirt endlessly with you or they will strike up an eager conversation about your life. But if youre trying to get in shape, dont bother. Go to the Y; it may be a little more expensive, but at least they care.
This club is great if you never plan on canceling ever. I signed up for a membership in February 2013. Shortly after, I was offered a job in Savannah. I have been paying for this membership since then, and have still not figured out how to cancel. I have had 4 returned letters, the person I talked to told me to send a certified letter, but it was undeliverable. I have come to terms with the fact that I will either need a Governors pardon, or I will just pay for this membership for the rest of my life. Perhaps I can pass this membership along to my grandchildren. I probably will have to because death most likely isnt a good enough reason to quit this gym.
Close during corona, continued to charge my card. Could not reach anyone to cancel or pause payments. Then charged me yearly fee despite being closed for months without being able to use. Went to get refund for those months not used when they reopened and got skimped on refund. I get it, businesses took a hit during those initial corona periods but if you want to keep your clientele and their business this isn’t the way to do it.
They have a lot of the same machines. They have rows of ellipticals and treadmills, but all the same type. Most of the gyms I have been to in the past have a few different types or brands of machines to choose from. Also, the gym is set up with a weight area on one side and cardio room on the other side. In the middle of these two areas is the stretching/mat/dumbbell/medicine ball area right next to the bathrooms and directly in front of the entrance. This set up feels awkward and not at all private as people are constantly walking through the area you may be stretching in.On the other hand, staff is friendly and the facility seems very clean.
Cant keep up with accounts if something goes wrong. Took 3 months to try and straighten it out but still did not give me what I payed for. And think they are right... And then advertised there deals that are the best but Planet Fitness has the best prices right now. Be smarter. Get info right.
I was told back in November by Jason my sessions would not expire when kindly cancelled my trainer subrscription because I had moved to Virginia and the closest Richmond location was 2 hours away and my trainer had left there location. This was all done over the phone and I mailed a certified letter as intrsucted.From there he then explained he would waive the cancellation fee. I then asked him would hey expire he told me no. Even suggested if I am ever in town to visit for holidays I could come by and use a session.I recently was in town because I decided to move back in April. I went o the gym in February or march. Was told my sessions were good. I called today and to check my account to ensure my payments were bring received. And about changing my billing address because I had just moved back. A young woman told me they had expired. I told her no. That cant be. She then transferred my call to you asst manager Steve. He told me it was out of his hands and that ther was anew policy that started at the beggining of the year. I asked him how did they notify everyone. He says they didnt. I then asked again how was I suppose to know this . I was told my sessions were good.He said when I signed my cancellation form. I reminded him all of this was over the phone. He said well they didnt do their job correctly and how they basically did me a favor they didnt have to do. He kept cutting me off and making smart remarks. I told him he wasnt giving great service . He said well if you would let me talk I can explain it you.I wasnt aware I need to stop yall my for him.He was very rude. Then he told me he would email the person above him. I continued to explain my issues with all of this and he says hes been very calm and patient with me and that I am taking it out on him. I was never loud or yelled. He said I was taking my frustrations out in him. And it wasnt right. I said I amtalking to you in a calm tone. He loudly interrupted me and says alright thanks for calling youfit have a nice day and hangs up. I call back and he suprisingky answers I said Steve I just spoke with you and you hung up on me. He goes I politely ended the call. I told him the conversation wasnt over. The he says ok well whats you issue can yi remind me.We just spoke . I said ok Steve i see what you are doingHave a nice dayHe says thabks so much you tooAre I have never received such horrible customer service in my life. Hows it my fault you guys didnt inform me and didnt communicate properly. I was told my sessions were good and wouldnt expire. At the point you can refund my sessions and if you cant I need to talk to someone who can. It has been a horrible continued experience since October/November. First with sam now wit Steve.. I have clearly been robbed and lied tooSTILL RECEIVED 0 money! Don’t go they will Rob you!
This business has very bad business practices. I have read the previews and it seems that this establishment doesnt follow the company business practice, as stated in their contract. This manager does not follow the guidelines established. I went in and submitted the required cancellation letter and check, plus the membership card. Then I was told I had to wait for a call from the manager, whom is never there, when you out go in, but, if you call, the things us in a conference call that last greater then three hours!!! What does one have to do, to be rid of you guys. The reviews state that this is an ongoing practices. Really, is there no governing rules, by the parent company, to make sure its franchises are following the proper business practices.All I want is out, before you rip me off for more money! Just Cancelled my membership!
Ive been to a few gyms, Golds, when they were open, YourBody Fitness, Axcess Fitness, so I know how gyms are great in the beginning, but make you claw and scratch your way out when you want to leave. That being said, enter YouFit: let me ask, how does a gym offer contract-free, month-to-month membership to promote business and gain a user-base, only to turn their back on those initial members?When multiple people I know who joined the gym because of a lack of a contract, only to be told that they do in fact have a contract with the gym despite the fact that they never signed a single piece of paper, its more than shady. Does management even know what a contract is? I doubt it; if they did, theyd be closed already. Heres a quick definition for you though: a legal binding agreement between two parties, in writing. I mean, just because you create an out (no paper-trail for members to gripe about you changing your terms of service) doesnt mean you take advantage of said out.
Horrible customer service at Kennesaw Branch today. Staff was rude and unhelpful. My wife was canceling her membership and I am keeping my Lime card which gets me free guest. Called back to speak with a manager after the associate was rude and the manager threatened to call the police if my wife was upset when she showed up at the club. Really? I am one of the original members of this club and they are going to treat her this way! I like the club but believe me EVERYONE will know of this hideous customer service.
Staff couldn’t or wouldn’t help me with my issue. Referred to website where you have to leave a message. No one would give me corporate number. Nowhere to be found. Left 3 messages, no return calls. Unprofessional. All they want is your money. Be careful if charges on your payment method.

2022-07-12Positives-Very nice gym with a good environment. Everything is clean and the staff will leave you alone to do your stuff which I like. I did wish that with their recent renovation they would get gear that works with fitness watches to help more accurately track your workout, but it really seems like they only painted their walls. Other than that, though great location with tons of parking. There is also a lot of great equipment to use.Negatives- If an equipment is out of service, it will be for a while. There are also often sanitizing napkins left around that sometimes dont get picked up by the staff which I dont like when I am working out there.

2022-01-25The gym itself is overall very good. BUT... If you choose to do their personal training, which is about $300 a month with the membership included, just understand that you will have zero options if you cannot use all of your monthly training sessions. They have no options for refunds at all. You are told within the club there is nothing they can do. So they can take your money for your training sessions on their schedule, but if for some reason you end up getting hurt or have to move to a location where they have no gyms your money is just taken and youre not even given a realistic explanation as to why you cannot receive a refund for those unused training sessions.I was highly disappointed by the lack of options when it comes to this service. As a business in this day and age you should have something set up to discuss situations like this, and to keep them from happening. In closing I will say that this gym is good. They have a fair amount of options for training, and never really gets crowded. But, do not do their personal training unless you know for a fact that you can use the sessions and just hope that you can use all the sessions because you will not have an opportunity to get your money back otherwise.

2022-05-25I have been going to this gym over a year now and absolutely love it! The employees are very nice and inviting, the trainers whether being trained or not engage with you and give great tips. They also recently upgraded everything and got new machines and a grass area it’s rad! The gym and locker rooms are kept clean as a whistle! It’s a great atmosphere to be in.

2022-05-25Vegan a month ago with fitness goals, got connected to a trainer named Rylee and we have been working closely on those goals. I get motivated and excited to learn new things and push myself. Going alone to the gym would have worked, but having a trainer that I connect best with was a better more enjoyable experience. Do yourself a favor and buy a pack of training sessions.

2022-05-12I drove nearly an hour here to cancel my membership. The receptionist was in the back doing something when I got there and I waited over 10 minutes before she walked up. No apology for the wait, nothing. I paid 10 dollars to cancel my membership which is fine, but this could have been done over the phone. She didn’t ask for my ID so I know they only require people to come in to do it because they want to try to keep taking our money every month. She told me my confirmation would be sent to my email, but I was sent an email without the attached pdf confirming my cancellation details. So I called back and she resent the documents, but then this gal decided hang up the phone in my face…loudly at that. So I called back and told her about her lousy self and did the same to her. Professionalism has gone out the window. This place has gone downhill and I’m so glad I cancelled my membership.

2022-07-03I have been using this Gym for several months. I hired Marquis through there personal training program. We have a love hate relationship. I love to hate him. Really enjoy the results working with him. Highly recommend!!

2022-05-23I love working out at youfit! Clean, new equipment, and a great team of staff who put the place together nicely. I train with Steve and highly recommend him if you ever want to consider working with a personal trainer. Grayson works front desk and does a great job helping members, answering questions, and keeping the gym clean and organized. I can not recommend youfit enough if you’re looking to join a gym!

2022-05-24Been working out at this gym for nearly a year. Normally train five times per week. Gym is always clean with a professional environment. Nice selection of machines and a very spacious facility. Never feels crowded. Grayson and the other members of the staff are friendly and easy to talk to. Highly recommend YouFit of Kennesaw!!
