I wish i could give 0 stars . the manager slapped my friend’s phone out of her hand . Accused my friend of stealing from the store even though they didn’t even sell the shirt in question (friend brought shirt in looking for hat to match). very unprofessional. ESPECIALLY IF YIU ARE BLACK!
Cons:- Employees lack adequate understanding of tennis and their goods- Stringing cost $42 (outrageous price for stringing)- Was lied to / misled when purchasing a tennis racket (Possibly out of naivete on the part of employees).Pros:- Good selection of goods- Will refund goods if you dont use themFeedback:- Give your customers honest facts about your productsContext:- Purchased an older version of a racket. Was told the specs were exactly the same. At least 4 aspects of the racket (as compared to my currently owned latest version) are different. The racket handles different on the backhand, is lighter, stiffer, and lacks feel. I should have researched the product before buying it, but at least I was given a refund.
Sadly had a bad experience here, I was excited to come after being put on through a friend but if you are not the typical white athlete, your experience is not well. The vibe changes for POC as soon as you walk in the door, eyes immediately on you and it’s quite an uncomfortable situation. I wish it wasn’t like this because there collections are nice ... 0-1 starsEdit- they are also deleting the negative comments but now that I see more of them I should have read before going!! THEY ARE NOT FRIENDS OF POC!
My dads last wish before he passed was to see me win my tennis nationals from heaven. So I’m sure he was rolling in his grace when I walked into this establishment and they tackled me to the ground and told me that I was the ugliest tennis player they’ve ever seen. I think one of the workers by the name of Jane (?) I believe , was laughing at me while this all took place. If my old man could see this it would if broken his heart. Never coming here again
I’ve always had dreams of being a tennis star just like Venus and Serena Williams. Today, those dreams were shattered. I went into the store and as soon as I walked in, I was accosted by an old haggard woman named Jane. She started throwing tennis balls at me then grabbed two tennis rackets and beat me bloody while saying “YOUR KIND ISN’T WELCOME HERE! MONKEYS DON’T KNOW HOW TO PLAY TENNIS!” I crawled out of the store crying, bloody and battered. I’ll never play tennis again. Thanks Jane.
I have 2 boys who adore tennis, so we visited this store while in the area. As I was browsing, I noticed a rack of clothing with a sign IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ENTIRE RACK that marked the items on that rack as on sale. According to the sign, if you purchased four items or more, each item was 55% off. My boys picked out a couple of shirts each and I proceeded to cash register with several items to check out. The shirts rang up at the regular price and I pointed out the sale sign to the cashier and we walked over to look at it. After noting that the sign appeared to apply to the entire rack of clothing, she called the manager over. The young manager, who was perhaps the cockiest person Ive ever encountered in a retail environment, claimed that the particular shirts we picked out were not supposed to be on sale. He then ADMITTED IT WAS HIS MISTAKE, at which time he refused to give me the discount. This guy, who clearly had a very high opinion of himself, actually told me he didnt have to sell the shirts to me at all. I said okay and we left. (After all, we can purchase the same shirts on Amazon for less and with free shipping.) What bothered me about the situation was the fact that in the few times this has happened to me in the past, the store has ALWAYS honored the sale price if it was their mistake. So beware. At this store, youve got a cocky manager with little concern for consumer good will and poor business sense (I can say this because Im a business owner myself). And if you find something on sale, make sure it rings up that way! They could be doing stuff like this on purpose!
Recently picked up tennis, I got a bunch of rackets from my uncle but came in to the store looking for some tennis shoes. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful. Since I am new to the sport, they were patient with me and explained the differences in shoe styles and brands. They even told to me wear the shoes around the house and as long as I dont play in them I would be able to exchange them if I wanted. Plan on going back soon to have them restring my rackets.
I played tennis up until my early twenties and then gave up the sport. Now in my forties, Im tempted to pick up a racquet again and Your Serve Tennis has been a fantastic resource. For $30 you can take two racquets a week to see what feels most comfortable, with the fee being applied to whatever you end up buying. They have an enormous selection of everything tennis (gear, apparel, sneakers) and the staff is eager to help without judging you for being a spazz. #Buckhead #Tennis #LookOutWimbledon

2022-05-17I walked in and started working with Will. He was very nice and attentive. After describing my beginner experience level, Will recommended a pickle ball racquet and off I went. Ten minutes into my first lesson, my instructor asked why I was using said racquet and who suggested it? It was all wrong and as soon as I switched, I played significantly better. Your serve would not allow me to trade it for a more suitable one. Very disappointed by the bad advice and will not be returning.

2022-03-22I was thinking about coming here for my tennis needs and felt called to look at the reviews first. Their prices seem extremely high most likely given the area they wanna add what I like to call the “buckhead tax” if you feel the need to follow any POC around the store and accuse ppl of theft on multiple occasions that’s a major red flag for a mom and pop shop. I’ll definitely take this place off my list now

2021-09-14After reading all the negative comments, I was very skeptical to go to this store. This is the closest store to me, so I thought let me give a try. When we entered the store, we were welcomed and asked what we needed. Jane was very friendly and showed different products we asked. ( we went through their collection before going to the store and picked some to see in person) Gave us time to finalize what we liked. Overall my experience at this store was very nice. Not sure why there are so many negative ratings but we were treated well and I will definitely go back to them.

2021-12-17I have been shopping at Your Serve for 25 years! This store is excellent. Always so helpful and friendly! They are always so prompt at racquet stringing and go above and beyond at getting what ever product or size you need. I highly recommend shopping local and supporting our Suwanee community businesses!

2021-08-24Sad that they keep deleting the negative comments, but after recent light of the new information that has surfaced about the employees at this establishment boldly making accusations about shoppers who they “caught shoplifting” on camera without evident evidence, i will not be shopping here anymore. i refuse to shop somewhere where my integrity, as an honest shopper, will be questioned because they feel uncomfortable by my appearance not matching that of a customer who regulars here, especially as a POC.

2021-08-16The worst experience of my life. Followed around the store, practically being harassed to purchase something or leave. I believe this was racially motivated treatment. If you are a person of color and would like good service. Do NOT GO HERE!

2021-08-30I went to this store to get a racket for my vacation because my cousins and I wanted to play tennis. I came in and never got greeted then I was just walking around and they were staring at me just whispering. I go to the front and ask if everything is okay they said they were just taking and I let it go. I felt uncomfortable so I told them that I will just get a business card and come back later and as soon as I reached for a business card the manger slapped the cards and snatched the card out of my hand and my phone dropped as well! I don’t know why they would do that honestly I just think it is because the color of my skin because there is no other logical reason. 0/10 don’t recommend!!!

2021-08-30As soon as I came in I was followed around the store. At first I thought they were just trying to be attentive but then when i put my phone in my back pocket to look at merchandise i was accused of stealing. When I explained the situation and emptied my pockets they still wouldn’t leave me alone. I was told that the theft was on camera which is impossible because it didn’t happen in the first place. I will NEVER be coming to this location again.
